Free to copy and share with attribution. ------------------------------------------------------------ let's go to the book of Matthew, chapter 16. And we're going to read some scripture. If you know the verses, you're going to read it like you've never read it before. How's that? Is that fair? Let's start like we're starting over. Let's hear what the Bible says. Matthew 16:15, he said unto them, "But whom say ye or you that I am?" And so this is about the identity of Christ. And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God." So notice Simon Peter, which is Simon and Peter, two names of Peter. And Jesus answered and said, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjonah." Here's Simon, son of which Bar means son of John. For flesh and blood have not revealed this unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. I say also unto thee that thou art Peter, the other name of Peter. and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail, and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom and heaven of heaven. Amen. We're going to pray together and we're going to study together and have a good time on this subject, the second greatest revelation. Let's pray together in Jesus name. Hallelujah. Thank you, Father. You are so awesome. We magnify you. We worship you, Jesus. Just lift your voice in real hunger to the Lord tonight. God, we want the voice of God tonight. We want the heart of God tonight. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray that the Holy Ghost and the power of the living God would move and minister to every single person in this place and those that may be watching online or at a later time. Let the Holy Ghost speak. We pray in Jesus' name. We pray it in Jesus' name. Let revelation be here in Jesus name. Hallelujah. You can be seated. Wow. What a great God. And what powerful verses. So, Jesus is the son of God. Not just a teacher, but he's God manifested in the flesh. And when Peter said that, the Bible said, blessed art thou, Simon Barjonah, flesh and blood. Didn't reveal this. So this wasn't just education or being smart or figured it out, but it came by divine revelation. He said it came by my father which art in heaven. The word revelation and the word manifestation are very closely tied together. And it's like God with the light on. That's who Jesus is. Amen. The God that is eternal. The God that created time in time. Amen. The God that created us in us. Amen. So Peter said, "Thou art the Christ, the son of the living God." And we say, and I say, and I've heard all of my life, and I certainly believe it, that that's the greatest single revelation in human history is who Jesus Christ is. >> Amen. Who Jesus is is the greatest. He's the door. He's the light of the world. Amen. He's the alpha and omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. He is the day star. He is Jesus Christ. The greatest revelation. And if you have that, you still need a second revelation. Amen. >> You do. Because you see, for you to receive a package in the mail, there has to be two names, two addresses. One who sends it and one who receives it. for you to receive a check or to give me one. my brother looks real rich and sister, this young couple right in the front. But if they were to write me out a hundred grand, I would take it because I just got a feeling they have it just sitting in their checking account with nothing to do with it. And but they would write it out and then they would sign the bottom. But I would take it into the Bank of America and I still couldn't cash it unless my name was also on the check. Right? So it takes the person that has the money and the person that will receive. It's like right now there's thousands of TV and ham radio and signals going through your brain right now and going through this congregation, but you can't hear it unless you have an aerial that can res a receiver. And so the kingdom of God, spiritual kingdom of God is set up exactly like that. So God has all this power, but there has to be a man. There has to be a person to receive it. That's why Jesus came, right? God manifest in the flesh, right? He was called the door. He was called the mediator between God and man. There has to be a connection, right? And so if you have a revelation of Jesus, that's not enough. How many believe that he can heal anything anywhere? Right. Good. Right. How many believe that he can do absolutely anything? Great. Great. But if I ask you another question, how many believe that you are going to lay hands on the sick and they will recover? Right. But that's a different thing. It's one thing to have faith in him, but for you to have faith in him, it's like have him having a signed check with no one to send it to. Amen. He needs a person. Amen. To be the antenna on earth, right? That's why we say, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is >> in heaven." Right? So, we take what God says in heaven and we agree with it on earth. And it takes both of those things for the miraculous to take place, right? That's just how God works. And so Jesus was proof of that that he literally wouldn't and couldn't save humanity without humanity because he had given us the planet. Isn't that crazy? >> God can do anything. And so God literally created a plan that restricted himself, which is kind of crazy that he would do that, but he did it for you. He did it for I. Amen. And so I'm just laying a little foundation. You got to stick with me. All right. And so blessed art thou, verse number 17, Jesus said unto him, after Peter said, you are the Christ, Jesus said, blessed art thou Simon Barjonah. Simon son of John, flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee. But in verse 18, remember the when the Bible was written, there was no bold and highlight, right? So there was no way for them to do what we can easily do on a computer or on media. And so but if you look at the words in the original Greek, it was like, hey, an emphasis was put on this. I say also unto thee that thou art Peter. So in verse number 17, he calls him Simon, son of John. And then verse number 18, he calls him Peter. And so there's this identity thing that's happening. Thou art the Christ. First of all, who do men say that I am? Well, you're the Christ, the son of the living God. Okay, now you know who I am. But remember, Simon, son of John. remember thou art Peter. And I thought, okay, where's these names coming from? Well, it was, as we know in those days, it was certainly normal. It was normalized to take a family name and at your circumcision, you would have received your father's name. And so, he was called son of John. Simon, son of John. But where did Peter come from? Well, you go to Mark chapter 3. This is real cool because this goes back in time to when Jesus first picked the disciples and these people that he was going to empower. Okay? And then Mark 3:13, he goes up into a mountain called and called unto him whom he would or those that he was going to use. He built his team and they came unto him. And verse 14 said he ordained 12, watch this, that they should be with him and that he might send them forth to preach. And verse 15, to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out devils. So it's like, hey team, come together. we're going to talk. I'm going to use you mightily. I'm going to you're going to be with me. You're going to have my power. You're going to be mighty. You're going to deal with devils. You're going to deal with miracles. I'm going to use you mightily. And then the very next words are verse number 16. Watch this. And Simon, he surnamed Peter. Surname means a given name. So he took Simon, son of John, at the very beginning of his ministry and said, "I'm going to give you power and I'm going to give you authority, but you're not who your dad said you are anymore. You're not going to go by Simon. You're going to go by Peter. And so there's so much in that. And matter of fact, it wasn't just Peter. The other disciples 17, James, the son of Zebedee, John, the brother James, he surnamed them. And so, here we go. Jesus is looking at them and he said, "I'm gonna use you. I'm gonna empower you, but I'm gonna give you a name. I'm going to give you a new identity. You're not going to be what your father calls you. When you think about Peter, James, and John, and the other disciples, the in particular, the fishermen, they were fishermen because their father was and their father was and for generations, and they were expecting to be for their kids and kids and kids to be fishermen. You don't change vocation. You are what your father was. That's the culture. There was no American dream. it would just you're going to fit in and be what's already been predetermined by you. But Jesus came along their beach and he said, "Come and follow me and I'll make you fishers of men." So he literally called them out of their identity and gave them a new identity. He said, "You're fishing for fish, but you're going to lead people. I'm going to use you mightily." And so you need to understand and we need to understand that there has to be this recognition not only that God is awesome but that God will use me right there has to be this reality of our own power. You say well I don't do the miracles he does. Well that's not quite true. we understand that that's true in the sense that it's his power and his authority. But in Acts chapter 3, Peter said, "What I have give I unto thee in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk." So it's not quite correct to say, "I don't have any power because it's what Christ has put in me. Silver and gold have I none, but what I have give I thee. So apparently we do have some stuff, right, that's put in us when you receive the Holy Ghost. In the Holy Ghost is the fruit of the spirit. That's a character of Christ. And in the Holy Ghost is the gifts of the spirit. And that's the ministry of Christ. So when you receive the Holy Ghost, everything he wants you to be is now in you in the Holy Ghost. >> And what God wants us to do is open the door and allow the spirit of God that's in us to work through humanity, human vessels, so that we can take the kingdom of God out of the ethereal and put it into life. and not just the beautiful building but into life. Amen. So that the kingdom of God can move forward. Matthew 7:29, for he Jesus taught them as one having authority and not as a scribes. That's not narcissism. That's not control. But that is authority. What is authority? It's influence. And when you speak, it happens. Amen. It's time in the name of Jesus Christ that I'm going to say some things that I've never have before because the Lord gave them to me for you when I drove into the city. Amen. But it is time in the name of Jesus Christ for the church to step into. We believe in him, but it's time for us to kind of step into our clothes, to step into our identity in Jesus Christ. >> Amen. So, I need two people. Can someone help me? Who wants to help me? Run. Thank you, my brother. You're awesome. You'll be the good guy. You're the bad guy. You waited too long. Come on up. Come on. Right up here, bro. We got to go. We got to go. Look at that. How many give me like 15 minutes more? 20 minutes. Raise your hand. 20 minutes. Okay. Raise. Keep your hand up. Okay. 20 40 60. You count that side. I think we got three or four hours if you put it together. >> How you doing, bro? >> Good. How you doing? >> Good. So, you want to be Jesus because you're the good guy, right? Okay. The Bible said he, that's Jesus, became sin for us. Right? What does that mean? He didn't just die for you. He died as you. That means he became sin. The Bible says cursed is everyone that dieth on a tree. So he was cursed. He The Bible said that sin was nailed to the cross. The only nails on the cross is in the body of Jesus. So Jesus became sin for you. So what about his performance? He was perfect, right? You agree? He was the lamb without spot or blemish. He's perfect, but yet he was he died in shame. And he died in total condemnation from his own throne. My God, my God, why has thou forsaken me? Amen. So Jesus didn't go as a hero. He went as if he was a sinner. He became sin for us who knew no sin. But that's only 50% of what Jesus died to give you. We say, "What did Jesus die on the cross for? To take away our sins." Right? Okay. That part, right? He became sin. He took our sins at Calvary. That that part. That's 50% of the verse. He became sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. >> So what happens? What happens at Calvary when you are born again of water and of the spirit? What happens is there's a switch that happens. Amen. He becomes sin for us who knew no sin on Calvary and we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus called the breath the breastplate of righteousness. Chapter 4 of Romans in one chapter alone in one chapter alone is so cool. There's a Greek word used 10 times and it's used 44 times in the New Testament and it's about righteousness and the righteousness of Jesus Christ was imputed or added or counted to our account. How many's ever like me had an old junky car ever in your life? Right? How many still owed money on it? Is that a horrible feeling? It's like it's going to die. It's going to die but I owe for two more years. Right? How many finally paid it off? Okay. How many finally paid it off and then realized it's not worth 200 bucks and I knew I need a new car so I have to go in debt again? So apparently just paying the debt isn't enough because you can finish paying the debt and you can still be broke. And so most of us act as if we're broke. Like Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, please. And that's how we pray. You just said that you believe in the miraculous, right? Can do Jesus do anything? But we're like, "Oh Lord, if you could just somehow if I could get to heaven by the skin of my teeth." And that's not even skin on your teeth. It's plaque buildup. Right? He became sin and you have the imputed righteousness of Christ. The Bible said that he was delivered to death for our offenses. That's our sin. And he was raised for our justification. >> He didn't just die for your sins, baby. He died for your resurrection. >> >> He died, right, for your sins. My God, why hast thou forsaken me? So we wouldn't live in condemnation, right? But we would live like Peter did 50 days after he denied three times that he even knew Jesus. Then Peter standing up with the rest of the apostles. It wasn't Simon, son of John. He's covered now, baby. He's like, "Excuse me, don't if you remember what I was, don't worry about it. I'm different now." See, I got this like breastplate on. It's called righteousness, right? This is who I am. See, Jesus at Calvary dying as a sinner so I could live and say, "In the name of Jesus, >> I speak in the name of Jesus. >> >> Amen. >> You good? Was this difficult? Okay, give them a hand because they're awesome. Wow. So, I got to tell you this. So, in the I'm a Canadian. A So, in the Second World War, I know some of you think we're the 51st state. I know. I know. I know. So in the Second World War, the Netherlands was occupied by Hitler and the Nazis. Amen. You know that. Yeah. It was a horrible time. They suffered. And so the king and queen of the Netherlands, they or the queen rather then of the Netherlands, they took them and sent them to Canada for safekeeping. Don't laugh, okay? It's like bury them in snow in the north. they'll be safe. No one will find them there. So they went to Ottawa, Canada because the Netherlands was occupied. So that's great. The war rages on. But the problem is the queen of the Netherlands is on the third trimester. It looks something like this, right? So she's about to have a baby in Canada, right? Not good, right? Because you know why? Citizenship, right? Aren't they? Anyways, I won't be political, but there's a thing about that right now with the Supreme Court. As a Canadian, I know I read your news. But if under the Netherlands law, if she has a baby, if the queen has a baby in Canada, that baby will not be able to be a monarch of the Netherlands. The millions of dollars they receive every year. They won't she won't get it. She won't be a prince or princess of the Netherlands. If you're born in Canada, you got to be born in the Netherlands. So the prime minister of Canada and the governor general of Canada got together and they decided this is what we're going to do. Are you ready for a history lesson? And so what they did is they took a room in Ottawa General or Civic H Hospital and they took this room and they made a document. It's signed into law and they gave this room to the Netherlands. Cool. So, Princess Maggit was born in the Netherlands and she's still alive. She's in her 90s or something, 80s or 90s and she's a princess of the Netherlands. She could have been the queen, but she isn't and hasn't been and won't be. Why? Because she was born in the Netherlands. Now, if you're in that room and you had to looked out the window, you would have seen snow. You would have seen a Canadian flag. you know, you would see all kinds of things that looked like Canada, but in the room, you're in the Netherlands. Amen. She was born in the Netherlands across the world. And I think that is so cool because when you were born again, you were born into the kingdom of God. Okay? So you that night you get the Holy Ghost, you go back to your home and you know you're still the Cinderella that does all the work, right? Or maybe you have big brother or maybe you've gone through hell and earth. Maybe you're still bullied the next day at school. Or maybe you've experienced whatever, racism, horrible things in your life and it just maybe feels like when you look out the window, you're still here, but don't believe it. >> Because the not the kingdom of the Netherlands, but the kingdom of heaven. He said his word is forever settled in heaven. You were born again and you were born in the kingdom of heaven. >> Okay. Do you know that these boys, okay, God didn't just give them a new name. He wrote their name on the foundation stones of heaven. You know, John was in prison on the aisle of Patmas. Horrible prison camp where you just literally the ships would go by and they would throw prisoners out. They wouldn't stop the ship or dock because it was so dangerous. It just a little horrible island where you send horrible murderers and rapists to their death. Horrible, horrible place. And so here he is on the aisle of Patmas for preaching the gospel. And he said he was on in the spirit on the Lord's day. Do research in the spirit on the Lord's day. The Lord's day was Sunday because by the time the last of the apostles had passed away, they then the church was already worshiping God on Sunday. They were celebrating Jewish Sabbath on Saturday and they were already having church on Sunday. That's cool, but that's not the message. But John in the book of Revelation, one of those 12 people who Jesus said, "I want you to know you're going to be with me and I'm going to GIVE YOU POWER." JOHN LOOKED UP AT HEAVEN and he was the one that said, "I saw heaven." He's on this earth and he saw heaven. And God took him up into dimensions in the spirit and showed him heaven. And he was the one that said the names of the twel apostles are on the in heaven. You know that he saw his own name. >> Is that crazy and awesome or what? You don't you're not in wow enough. We have to start over the message again. We just got to start from the beginning. C. Can you give me a little wow? >> Okay. Can you do it backwards? >> All right. That's kind of a dad joke. Hallelujah. I'm in this prison camp. I'm in this home. I'm in this family. No, you're not. You're in the kingdom of God. No, you're not. You're in the kingdom of God. I'm Simon, son of John. No, you're not. Because before he said, "Upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." He needed to know who Jesus was, and he needed to know who he was. Amen. because the authority of Jesus needed to be translated into from him to the body of Christ on this earth. The Bible says we are joint hes with Jesus. >> What that literally means it means whatever Jesus owns you own too. >> Right. Ramsay Gord Gordon Ramsey or Dave Ramsey not the other guy. He said, "The number one indicator that your marriage is going to last is if you share the same bank account. Don't look at each other." Right? It's not my money and her money. It's all mine. No, I'm joking. She's not here to defend herself. Right? So, when Jesus died and resurrected, we inherited >> jointly with the resurrected Christ. And we're acting like we're making a withdrawal from somebody else's account. We act like we're stealing. We act like we're play praying to someone past Pluto. You know that Pluto's no longer a planet. What a horrible thing. It was a planet when I g grew up and now suddenly it's too small. Poor Pluto. But forget that. That's a distraction. So, but here we are tonight. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Echoes. And people say this all over the world. IT I PRAYED AND IT FELT LIKE my prayers were bouncing off the ceiling. Ever heard that? So, when you're baptized, you're baptized into Christ. And when you receive the Holy Ghost, it's Christ in you. Okay? So you're in him and he's in you. So if it's bouncing off the ceiling, he gets to hear it more. He He's here. HE'S IN OLD TESTAMENT PSALMS 22. He inhabits the praises of his people, >> right? >> That's our favorite verse in our movement. It is. And it's true that he inhabits the praises of his people, but it's Old Testament. And it's still true when you praise him, it creates an atmosphere. God can do work. That's still true. But that's kindergarten. Because in the New Testament, he doesn't just inhabit our praises. He inhabits us. So because you're not like, you know, the keyboard is not like at your work, right? You're pouring concrete like I don't want blessing. I want you like it's not going to happen, right? You go into the restroom. I'm sorry I call it bathroom. I'm a Canadian vase. That's Dutch. And you go in the restroom and there's bad pictures on the wall at your work. You're like, "Ah, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." And you move your head to the other wall and there's one there. Oh Lord Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. I think I can wait till I get home, right? You're like, "Where am I? Where? What mess have you put me in?" You're in the kingdom of God. You say, "But there's no atmosphere of praise." No, you don't need one. The Holy of Holies is in you, >> right? Silver and gold have I none, which means circumstantially I'm broke, but what I have >> give I thee. It's not emotional. You know why we have to feel it, brother? It's not because we're Pentecostals because we don't believe that we're awesome. I mean, awesome because he covered us. Awesome because he chose us. Awesome because he forgave us. >> Awesome because we're filled. We're a container of the kingdom of heaven on this earth, >> right? And we don't believe that. So like, let me feel you. Jesus, my wife is away right now visiting her family. And someone said, "Do you miss her?" I'm like, "Yeah, we talk. I love her." Like I called her and I said, "Why is it that I love flying? I don't care. I'm not nervous." But when you're flying, I'm nervous. I said, I would rather die than have you die. I love her more than I think more than I love myself. I love my wife. We've been married almost 36 years. Amen. And I had a point and I got emotional. Oh, there's my point. There it is. Thank you. Got it. I'm never coming back. Right, pastor? But we after this long together, I can let her go for two weeks. I don't feel her. I feel you, God. I feel you. I feel you. No, I don't. She's still mine. There's trust, right? Like, oh, Jesus. We When I was young, I'd like pray until I felt Jesus again. [panting and sighs] Oh, good. I go listen at my parents' door to see if they were still breathing. If they're breathing, the rapture hasn't taken place, right? Oh, good. My parents are still here. Thinking God came and left me cuz I'm such a te. We just live in this perpetual fear and anxiety. Amen. When I was dating my wife, we were both in the same class at Bible school and I would like go one direction. She would go one direction on the weekend like for two days. Once she had a comb sitting there in the class and she had one of her hairs in it and I took a hair out. I I'm I know this is I'm a candidate for fail blog. I know. Insane. I make fun of people for this stuff, but I took one of her hairs out and put it in my wallet. It's like I have her hair. I took it out of her brush. Now her hairs are like gobs. They looked like spiders coming down the wall of the sp of the shower, right? I was so insecure. There's so many cute guys at the school. I don't know. I've never seen a cute guy in my life, but I'm just saying there might be. What if she finds someone else? And that's how we're like, he loves me. He loves me not. He loves No, he loves you. You're his child. You're engraved. He's covered you. He sees you as righteous. And then he gives a process of I wish I don't have time of sanctification. That's a process we're in to be more. But he gives it's like he gives you the mark for the class at the beginning of the year because he declares the end from the beginning >> because he's alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. He's He said, "I'm going to I'm going to save you and I'm going to treat you just like Jesus. Here you are." Because the Bible says when we see him, we'll be like him. So, we'll just put Jesus on right now. >> You're not nothing like him. I'm going to put him on you right now because when you in the rapture, you're going to be changed. >> hallelujah. So in Matthew 16, because I'm going to try to stop sometime, he said in verse 19, "I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven." I was a young pastor. People knocked on my door and said, "Is your dad home?" I'm like, "You're looking for the pastor, right?" Yes. I know it's a huge disappointment, but my dad lives a very long ways away. I'm the guy. They go, I was 22 when I first started pastoring. I was like 14. We had a How many knows brother Gordon Mau? You know Gordon Mauy? Gordon Maui is an awesome, wonderful man of God. He once took me by his hands, both hands, and he said, "I just want you to know, Allan, you're my very, very best friend." I was about to cry and he said, "And I've told 200,000 people the same thing." But when I was a young guy, Gordon Mauy planting a church, my wife and I in Toronto and we started with two people or four people. Two died and one moved away. So we had that one original person and we're like ah my friend has a he invited me to preach Easter weekend. It was my first Easter and our church plant. So I preached for him and he broke a thousand for the first time. He had 1,04 people. And then we rushed back to have our Easter service. True story. We had 14 people. He had exactly 1,000 people, more than us, our first Easter. But God was in it and we were growing and changing and things were happening and we had brother Gordon Mauer coming for this revival. And when I was praying for the services and the revival, I was praying in the Holy Ghost. And this is the part I felt for you tonight. But Gordon Mallerie in my prayers showed up in a vision and I saw a vision of Gordon Mallerie standing there with a key in his hand and the key was like I don't know this this big and in the vision he brought the key to me and he gave it to me. I'm like I don't know what's happening in this revival but Gordon Mau is coming to preach. And when he does, he's going to bring me a key. It was the last night of the service and I was standing down there. This young preacher, he's this elder that seen, you know, million soul revival. Oh, that's the Gordon Mauy revivalist miracles all over the world. It's just so cool. And I was standing there praying and Gordon Maui suddenly come up, laid his hands on me and said this these exact words. He said, "Receive the key of apostolic authority." Receive the key of apostolic authority in this city. You know, when I grew up, my name was ears. It was that I mean, I thought it was because that's what people called me because my face was so skinny and they stuck straight out. And all the way to school, all the way back, they pinged those ears. And so I grew up with insecurity. I had ADHD before it was diagnosed. In my 50s it was diagnosed. Thank you Jesus. So it helps my wife. She's like, "Oh, but here I am this kid that insecure that that God called to be a man of God. It's not Allan, son of Vinnie Calhoun. insecure boy. Now remember Peter, it's Peter, not Simon, son of John. You're who I you are not your past. You're not the abuse that happened in your life, >> right? You're not your pain. >> You're not your cancer. You're not what happened to you when you were young that you never even told your spouse that haunts you at night and visual images because the enemy is a lying spirit and he's familiar. He's a familiar spirit that comes and just wants to haunt you with the past. You're not that. You're not son of John. You are who he said and you're going to be mightily used of God. So lift up your head and >> you're delivered. You say, "But my family." What family? You were born in a room. I got a signature. I got a word that won't ever pass away that says you were born as a son of God. >> You believe it? Because everything in the kingdom happens by faith. So all you have to do tonight is believe by faith. And so what happens when I receive the key? My ministry went different when I prayed. It was different when I preached. It was different when I was gifted to do certain things. It was different. I was more impactful. Right? Again, Jesus didn't speak like the religious people. He spoke as one having authority. Look at me. I'm not a great preacher. I know that. I'm not trying to. It's just like we're together in this living room and I'm feeding you some things from what the Holy Ghost is trying to say to you. That's it, right? I'm not standing here because I'm awesome. I'm not. I'm standing here because I have authority. And when I say you're healed, you're healed. And when I say in the name of Jesus Christ, something happens. Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I'm going to give you an authority. Amen. Pastor, you know this is true. There's times you can't do nothing right. I'm not talking about your marriage. I'm talking about as a pastor, right? It's like you preach and it's just like it just feels like they're not listening. There's times you preach and it's like four people backslide and you thought it was great. Like what? And there's other times you think that was the worst message and the worst mess that's ever come out of my mouth and I'm embarrassed, you know, and eight people get the Holy Ghost and three people get healed and everyone's like, "Oh, that was the best thing." Why? Why? Amen. because there's a spiritual realm. >> Amen. And what God wants to do in this church. I know you're a great church. You're already a quote successful church. Whatever. Do you know how many people are lost that you know? And the Holy Ghost is saying surge forward. >> The Holy Ghost is saying multiplicity of ministries. The Holy Ghost is saying, "Yeah, yeah. I know what you've been through, and I know there's a horrible enemy that's trying to keep you hanging in on what used to be, but in the name of Jesus, there's people with condemnation and guilt, and God wants to take you out and take you in AND GIVE YOU AUTHORITY over your circumstances in life." Hallelujah. Wherever it is, whatever it is, however it is, whatever you're called to do, to be. I was a young church planner and I went to Bible school. I'm sorry, I'm not that educated. Went to Bible college. There was no degree. I was like, "What training do you have?" Like, I took gifts to the spirit and the seven churches of Asia. like, we don't think we need you. Elon Musk is fine. Allan, go home. He doesn't want you to work for him. So, what did I do? I'm like, I we got no people or we hardly like anything when we started and then we're starting to grow, but we got to feed my family. So, I went to work as a cleaner. You know those mall cleaners? 24 hours. By the way, those songs continue to play, but sadly the food court shuts down. So, there's this guy and we would meet in the middle. You know, those big machines that are self-propelling that has a big scrubber in the back and things on the front that go around, whatever. And so we're on I'm on one basically because I would do ministry in the day and work at night as a cleaner in the mall. In those old songs, they just keep playing. It's my party. I'll cry if I want to. You know, it's all night long. And it's like, oh Jesus, deliver me. and I'd meet up with the other guy and we're guys, ladies who' be like, "Ah, I'm so tired, but how did you do your hair?" And where did you get that dress? But we are guys and we meet up for lunchtime and we're like walking like I don't know why I'm walking like I got ants in my pants, but I was just like I'm tired. I haven't slept forever and I'm just collapsed in the food court. But there's KFC is closed and I'm like, "Please, just one piece of chicken." And Steve looks at me and he goes, I look at Steve and going, we've communicated." And we put our head down and for we're supposed to be a half hour break, we make it 45 minutes. Okay, an hour. And we sleep. And then we pull ourselves out of the slumber. he goes, we go back to work. Two different sides of the So, here I am one night and I'm on this stupid machine. I'm like, God, like you got all the money and you come on in Jesus name. I I'm talking in tonesues on the machine. Oh, God. Talking in tongues. And I go around the corner. There was a bar. There was cleaners in the bar or something. Like 3:00 in the morning. They came around and I was like pushing the machine and I had my hands in the air screaming in tongues. I thought no one was there. And he comes around the corner. I'M LIKE HE GOES, "OKAY." I said, "Hey, man. I was just went back." So it's one of those nights. I'm so frustrated. LORD, YOU GOT ALL THIS MONEY. YOU'VE BLESSED US BEFORE. WHY CAN'T YOU JUST GIVE US SOME MONEY? I don't want to do this. And then I said, "Why am I here?" And as clearly as God has ever spoke to me, he said one word, "Steve." And it was just like, I'm here for Steve. God, you didn't bless me. You wanted me to be a janitor. You wanted me to hear that stupid song over and over and over because Steve, that guy that goes and I go. And so I'm like, let's deal with Steve so I can get another job or get out of here. So I'm serious. This all happened just like that. It's crazy, but it happened. And in the middle of the night, and I'm finished. if the music will come, so I'll quit. So I in the middle of the night, I'm like, "Okay, I got to talk to Steve right away so we can deal with Steve because God sent me here for Steve." So I have like no faith, but I'm angry and upset about this stupid job and I'm tired and I'm doing ministry in the daytime and I'm tired and I just don't want to do this job. And so I walk in the food court, same thing. KFC, no chicken, music is playing. And here's Steve. And I said, Steve, you ever have a relationship with God? Do you ever have the power of God in your life, bro? I know it's a crazy question. He goes, "Yeah, when I was young." And he began to talk to me about his experience with God. I'm like, "He did?" I'm like, "Well, again, I want out of here and Steve is why I'm here." So, I'm like, I was bold. And I just said, "Steve, like God can like God can touch you, man." He goes, "Really?" And he stood up. I I'm like this. He's like this. He's really tall. Big guy, right? Really? Can you pray for me right here? And here I am all of a sudden standing in front of Steve. I was skinny then. And I'm like, here's this big guy and the mall music is playing and I'm in the food court and there's no one else there. And he wants me to pray for him. And I just felt like there was no faith. All my faith was just sucked out. And I just looked at him. He's like, "And so I reached up. I said, "God, you sent me here for Steve." And I laid hands on his head and I said, "In the name of Jesus Christ, before God," he fell back, was slain out in the Holy Ghost, laying there speaking in other tongues. And you know what? God got me out of the job. Hallelujah. Do you hear me? Jesus sat on the well because he was tired. He was on a walk, a journey. And he asked his disciples to go buy meat because he was hungry. And he asked the woman for water cuz he's thirsty because he was in flesh. But there a thirsty, tired, weary Jesus. That the Bible said there was no beauty in him that we should desire him. a regular guy with the kingdom of God in him, all of godness in him, began to tell this woman that was on her sixth relationship the kingdom and told her things that he couldn't tell the his own disciples. Let's stand together. Is this all right tonight? I go a little I went a little longer than I normally would, but I'm just telling you this is for you. This is what the Lord spoke to me when I came into this city. The key, the harvest, spiritual authority, God wants you to step into it. The devil's just been plaguing your head because he's afraid you'll ever figure out who you are. Because if you know who you are, you'll pray right in the name of Jesus and expectant. I want you to lift your hands all over this place. Hallelujah. God, I pray against every panic attack, every depression, sleepless nights, anxiety, suicidal thoughts. I speak against you in the name of Jesus Christ. I command all those things that have restricted the body of Christ to be bound and that our God's people would be loosed in the name of Jesus to be who and what we are called to be. There's dreams, Father, that you put into people that are in this room. There are dreams that are not just imagination and they're not just crazy ideas. They were put there by you. And in the name of Jesus Christ, we step into them in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. We step into ministries and purpose. I know this pastor loves multiplicity of people and delegation and many many people being mightily used of God. He understands teamwork like few understand. You can do this and be blessed here. You can be that and be great and be honored here in Jesus' name. Lord, step into your gifting. Step into the place that God has. There are mighty soul winners in this room in Jesus name. You are not the son of. You are called of God. You're in the kingdom of God. Hallelujah. Be set free in Jesus name. >> Can you take someone by the shoulder or whatever and just pray for them now? In Jesus name as pastor comes. >> Hallelujah. Pray for them right now. I'm going to step into my authority. I'm going to step into my place in the kingdom of God. I'm not condemned, but I'm challenged in Jesus name. In Jesus name. Some of you have been so under it for years with the voice of dread and condemnation. This forboding feeling in the name of Jesus. You are going to defeat it tonight in Jesus name. It's not yours. The joy of the Lord is your strength. >> The joy of the Lord is your strength in Jesus name. >> Yeah. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Pray for somebody else now if you don't mind. Go into someone else. That's okay. You don't have to come to the altar. Just go real quickly to someone else. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, get used to stepping out when you feel to stepping out and with wisdom and under authority, but with wisdom and being used by God for your brother and your sister. God, speak to us here, but speak to us in community in our community, in our cities, at our job places. Speak through us. Use us. that the gifts of healing and miracles
