But with that being said and uh the certain days of the calendar that the certain days of the calendar that the certain days of the calendar that are I guess I would say nationally and are I guess I would say nationally and are I guess I would say nationally and internationally recognized as particular internationally recognized as particular internationally recognized as particular dates. There can be different modes of dates. There can be different modes of dates. There can be different modes of thinking and different lines of approach thinking and different lines of approach thinking and different lines of approach with them of I'm not going to celebrate with them of I'm not going to celebrate with them of I'm not going to celebrate that because of you know this particular that because of you know this particular that because of you know this particular date might potentially not match up date might potentially not match up date might potentially not match up historically or uh all of these historically or uh all of these historically or uh all of these different ideas. And I I understand all different ideas. And I I understand all different ideas. And I I understand all that and uh I get that. But I'm of the that and uh I get that. But I'm of the that and uh I get that. And I I'll say this again, oftentimes with a negative tone and a a oftentimes with a negative tone and a a oftentimes with a negative tone and a a harsh uh a harsh description that said harsh uh a harsh description that said harsh uh a harsh description that said that, oh yeah, there'll be some people that, oh yeah, there'll be some people that, oh yeah, there'll be some people that only come to church on Christmas that only come to church on Christmas that only come to church on Christmas and Easter as though that's some kind of and Easter as though that's some kind of and Easter as though that's some kind of a a bad thing. And I I know what they're a a bad thing. And I I know what they're a a bad thing. And I I know what they're talking about that we should be more talking about that we should be more talking about that we should be more committed every single days in our life. committed every single days in our life. committed every single days in our life. Yeah, that's what we work to and that's Yeah, that's what we work to and that's Yeah, that's what we work to and that's what we aspire to, but that's also not what we aspire to, but that's also not what we aspire to, but that's also not reality. But again, my line of thinking reality. But again, my line of thinking reality. One as you look at the thief on the cross as you look at the thief on the cross as you look at the thief on the cross talking to the final moments of his talking to the final moments of his talking to the final moments of his life. We believe that we serve a God so life. We believe that we serve a God so life. We believe that we serve a God so powerful that through one touch all of powerful that through one touch all of powerful that through one touch all of the difference can be made. Salvation can take place. a renewing of the mind, can take place. a renewing of the mind, can take place. a renewing of the mind, a new creation, the decision to take on a new creation, the decision to take on a new creation, the decision to take on the name of Jesus in baptism, turning the name of Jesus in baptism, turning the name of Jesus in baptism, turning away from your sins, and God will infill away from your sins, and God will infill away from your sins, and God will infill you with his spirit. Grand entrances are powerful tools across entrances are powerful tools across entrances are powerful tools across politics, politics, politics, uh, a nation's military, sporting uh, a nation's military, sporting uh, a nation's military, sporting competitions. They're designed to competitions. They're designed to competitions. They're designed to command command command attention and shape public attention and shape public attention and shape public perception. In politics, they project perception. In politics, they project perception. In politics, they project authority and inspire confidence with authority and inspire confidence with authority and inspire confidence with the desired goal of influencing public the desired goal of influencing public the desired goal of influencing public opinion. opinion. opinion. Militarily they display strength and Militarily they display strength and Militarily they display strength and readiness and unity and are a mighty readiness and unity and are a mighty readiness and unity and are a mighty display of power, even uh deterring display of power, even uh deterring display of power, even uh deterring adversaries and adversaries and adversaries and bolstering morale. It represents authority instantly elevating the authority instantly elevating the authority instantly elevating the rider as a figure of respect and even rider as a figure of respect and even rider as a figure of respect and even reverence. The visual association aims to inspire all and all and obedience to inspire all and all and obedience to inspire all and all and obedience suggesting the ruler is divinely suggesting the ruler is divinely suggesting the ruler is divinely sanctioned or possesses exceptional sanctioned or possesses exceptional sanctioned or possesses exceptional qualities. The sheer presence of armed soldiers, banners, weaponry is meant to soldiers, banners, weaponry is meant to soldiers, banners, weaponry is meant to quell any dissent or rebellious quell any dissent or rebellious quell any dissent or rebellious thoughts. It underscores the thoughts. It underscores the thoughts. It underscores the consequences of defying the ruler's consequences of defying the ruler's consequences of defying the ruler's authority, making clear that power rests authority, making clear that power rests authority, making clear that power rests firmly in their hands. It's a calculated met with force. It's a calculated met with force. It's a calculated performance meant to solidify the performance meant to solidify the performance meant to solidify the ruler's position, inspire loyalty ruler's position, inspire loyalty ruler's position, inspire loyalty perhaps, and suppress any potential perhaps, and suppress any potential perhaps, and suppress any potential opposition through a combination of opposition through a combination of opposition through a combination of symbolic messaging and overt symbolic messaging and overt symbolic messaging and overt intimidation. The horse and military intimidation. The horse and military intimidation.
