name of jesus the only name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved we greet you in that great name tonight and i would like to express my appreciation to each one of you and especially to pastor whitley i was scheduled to preach father's days pastor just told you but thank you for praying for his brother and sister mccool sister mccool's only sister passed away it was rather unexpected us we knew she had been very sick but we were not expecting death at this time but our jolie was a sister mccool's older sister and they talked on the phone usually at least once a week and i i got a great joy out of sitting listen to them they'd talk an hour or better at a time and but that left a great loss for her so be praying for sister mccool i thought when i left the house while ago uh i talked about her beauty and her grace and her charm and um but i've never seen her more beautiful or more charming on the left while ago she had her chair pulled up to the hospital those little portable tables and she was spoon feeding her older brother who can't feed himself and i had to tell her how much i appreciated how beautiful it was to see her taking care of her brother like he was a an infant in a high chair love goes all the way to the grave and beyond and we need to keep that kind of love in our hearts for each other and i want to say thank you pastor for the great job you have done every time you come to the pulpit brother uh brother whitley did such a great job i did get to hear him online and what a great job of preaching he did our hearts go out and our prayers go out to brother hamer who lost his father and we're praying for the comfort of the holy spirit to be with brother hamer and i know the lord will do just that and we do want to see all the men folks here uh some of them haven't had a men's fellowship breakfast in quite some time so we'd like to see all of you here for men's fellowship breakfast and also let me give you a special invitation uh i was scheduled to preach the father's day message and um uh i'm gonna be preaching a father's day it'll be a belated father's day message but uh i'm going to be preaching sunday morning and all of you fathers be sure and be here and all of you you mothers and wives need to to be here because we'll be talking and aiming a message that will be concerning our fathers but tonight we've got a lesson and i always say it's a great lesson and it is any lesson that comes from the word of god is a good lesson it's a great lesson uh uh the the great title tonight probably is the title of i would guess i haven't researched this but i would guess this probably probably to be the the most used and the best known gospel song that's ever been written and it's entitled amazing grace that would be my guess and our focused thought salvation gives us hope for the glorious appearing of jesus christ let me uh throw in something else right quick here a pastor was gone preaching a very important men's conference down in louisiana pastor anthony is out in hot springs arkansas preaching a camp meeting and god has blessed us with great talent and great men of god and we have to share them we have to share them and that's why the lord has blessed first apostolic church as we have gone around the world financially and also with the ministry of the great men and women of god uh here in first apostolic church and i have to say this on almost every service how much i appreciate them salvation gives us hope for the glorious appearing of jesus christ now focus verse is found in titus 2 13 looking for the blessed looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior jesus christ father we ask you tonight to anoint the lips of clay with the spirit of god give comfort to all who needs comfort tonight give joy give peace and give motivation to each one of us here tonight to live for you and look forward to your coming back to this earth in jesus name we pray amen looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior jesus christ and with that i'd like to refer to was not in the lesson i haven't given this to the uh to the sound people and the uh multimedia uh acts one and eight because they were talking about the glorious appearing of the great god if you if you read that let's read that again because there's something in this just listen the way it reads looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of who the great god and who is the great god our savior jesus christ and that beautiful in that great there's little things that's just dropped in the scripture that if you examine it carefully you see there are some great and important truths there our great god is jesus christ acts 1 and 8 through 11 it says but ye shall receive power after that the holy ghost has come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me both in jerusalem and in all judea and in samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth and when he had spoken these things while they beheld he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight now i want you to just think about that jesus was talking to them and told them that you're going to receive power after the holy ghost has come upon you and you'll be witnesses under me jerusalem judea samaria and the other most parts of the earth and uh when he had spoken these things while they were beholding while they beheld he was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight another another fantastic and magnificent thought and thinking that as as they talk with jesus and jesus jesus goes up and a cloud just swallows him up and he disappears and and they were staring into the heavens and while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up behold two men in white stood by the uh stood by them behold two men stood by them and white apparel which also said ye men of galilee why stand you gazing up into the heaven this same jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come and lock manner as you see him go away look what we've got to look forward to this just as he went away he's coming back and that's why we're we're waiting and looking with great expectations every day but they said why stand gazing into the heavens but what you've got work to do he had just told them that you receive power after the holy ghost has come upon you and you'll be witnesses unto me in jerusalem judea samaria and the other most parts of the earth i think what the the angels were saying hey look he's gone now and and don't you stop looking for him up there he's already told you that you're gonna be witnesses now that we've got a job to do we've got to carry this message around the world our lesson texts now remember this is on amazing grace grace is a very uh misunderstood word many folks misused the term grace and let me say this as as kindly as i can there was a doctrine that's called once in grace always in grace and another term for the doctrine is one saved always saved and some feel that once you come to know the lord you can't do anything to be lost and you can understand why this would be a a very attractive doctrine to folks who do not know the scripture and do not understand the precepts of god's word if you would come to really believe that that once you accept the lord then you can go right back in sin and do all the things and nothing can cause you to be lost a couple of uh incidents that i'm personally acquainted with the statements and the things that happen uh is indicative to me in in the danger of this doctrine now uh i i i understand that god's not ready to uh lower the hammer on you ever every little thing you do the bible said little children these things right i unto you that you sin not but if any man sin if we sin we have an advocate with the father jesus christ the righteous and if i can get to it i'll read the scripture in micah where it says rejoice not against me or my enemy because when i fall i'm going to rise up and then it tells how he's going to rise up and so we're not believing that if you uh make one mistake god's going to doom you to hell but we don't believe that you go back and sin and still yet claim the grace of god jude 4 that men of old they were ordained to destruction but they turned the grace of god into lasciviousness you can claim the grace of god and and and claim that grace covers everything and again i don't want to be graphic but uh i do want to be honest and and plain with you um brother sam burst uh you we all know brother brother burris he goes to the the clinton church and his son plays the drums and they're wonderful folks and sister porsche's sister um brother uh brother of wilson's wife sister portia huh mary what does he mary well okay i'll get it right marry his sister i'll get it right but anyway uh he was talking to a man at work and the man was arguing this point that once saved always saved and and his illustration was he said uh i am saved i'm eternally saved and i can't be lost i turn my life over to go and and forgive this uh graphic and uh description he said if i died on the belly of a i'd go straight to heaven now that's pretty graphic and i apologize but that really happened and uh that was uh that was what he believed that he would go right straight now of course the bible says that no adulterers is going to make it to heaven the bible lets us know that and and they're not and in johnson city and the other illustration i was in revival there many years ago and there was a fellow quite uh inebriated under the influence and he was standing around the front door of the church had a little they've got a little had a little stoop at that time a little smaller church and he was causing a little bit of disturbance not bad but the ushers were very kind to him and and they they invited him to come in come in have a seat my brother we love you and you can find the lord tonight oh he said i found the lord 20 years ago i got religion 20 years ago and said they told me then once saved always saved said you can't beat a deal like that one of those were his words a little bit on the comical side if they were not so sad for someone to actually believe that so let me tell you something the grace of god is not to promote lasciviousness that means unwholesome desire sinfulness that's not what the grace of god is for uh the bible will tell us here what the grace of god is for and let me give it to you for the grace of god that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all men teaching us the grace of god will teach you and what does it teach you denying ungodliness and worldly lust we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world now to all my dear friends or listeners that might be listening by way of the internet what have you if you've been under that impression that you can continue on and sin the bible says he that sinneth is of the devil for the devil sinneth from the beginning and but the the grace of god is not a license to continue to sin but the grace of god teaches us that denying ungodliness we are the grace of god will teach us to to stop our ungodliness and worldly lusts that we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world now that's the grace of god that we're talking about the amazing grace of god will teach us to deny ungodliness worded us and to live soberly and righteously in this present world and the next thing it does looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of the great god in our savior jesus christ the grace of god teaches us to get out of the sin and business it teaches us to get out of being ungodly it teaches us against worldly lusts and then it teaches us to live in a spirit of expectation the lord can come any day any time now how would you want to be living if you knew jesus was coming tonight if you knew that before this service was over jesus would spit the clouds and return is there anything in your heart do you have any uh malice or envy or strife do you have anything that would you not want to get get it right with god i want you to know i i would i if there's anything i've got against anybody i don't know that i do i can't think of it but i if i knew you would not want the lord to come with any sin in your life teaching us to deny ungodliness and worthy lust looking for the blessed hope oh hallelujah the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great god and our savior jesus christ who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity purified unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works he gave himself for us that he might redeem us now if you take something to the pawn shop and you you you pawn it and they'll they'll they'll give you ten dollars for it and then when you want to pick it up you'll have to give them fifteen dollars or whatever they charge the interest on that but that's that's called redeeming what you left there now then we were lost in the garden of eden to satan the old serpent but now then jesus came and gave himself for us he was the ransom price he gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity purify unto himself a peculiar people now that word peculiar does not mean odd something peculiar is something set apart that's different to anything else i'm going to tell you something god's people are not odd they're not silly they're not stupid but they are a treasure of of of peculiar people they're set apart for jesus christ because he gave himself for us as a ransom the price you and i couldn't pay we couldn't buy it ourselves we couldn't give enough animal sacrifices we couldn't say enough rosaries we couldn't but he gave himself for us that he might redeem us unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good words these things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority let no man despise thee now you see what the grace of god is it rebukes evil it reveals it rebukes sin it takes you out of sin it don't give you a license to sin the scripture which i referred well ago jude 4 what on the one chapter in jude jude chapter 1 and 4 for there are certain men crept in unaware who were before of old ordained to this condemnation ungodly men turning the grace of our god into lasciviousness denying the only lord god and our lord jesus christ let me tell you something don't let anybody lead you to think that grace can let you do anything you want to do these ungodly men they use the grace of god as a license to sin and and and the grace of god until lasciviousness don't let any doctrine come along make you think that you can go right on sinning you get out of the sinning business you know the scripture in the book of romans that sin might become exceedingly sinful today sin has been sanitized we've given it sanitized names you don't commit adultery you have an affair you don't you don't do wrong you have an alternate lifestyle goes on and on that they have sanitized the language to make it look very clean and neat and nice but that doesn't matter friends it's sin is sin and god wants us to know that it is sin you see god can help you out of the sinning business benjamin franklin is credited with saying god helps those who helps themselves the truth is god helps those who cannot help themselves the apostle paul in the seventh chapter of romans he talked about the things that i would i do not the things that i do it would not if then i do that which i would not i can sin unto the law that it is good he he spends many verses in the seventh chapter of romans telling about oh oh wretched man that i am who shall deliver me from the body of this death he talks about what i want to do i don't do i don't have that but i do it anyway because i am a sinner but now then it goes on to tell that that that that with the mind of christ he's going to serve christ and goes right into the eighth chapter of the book of romans there's therefore now no condemnation to them that are in christ jesus who walked not after the flesh but after the spirit when we give our life to the lord and we're born again we're no longer a servant of sin we're no longer under that sin of lascivious but now then we get away from the sin and we desire to please him the joy of the lord is our strength if we can save ourselves we would but we can't that's why we need god's grace god helps those who cannot help themselves that's called grace god's grace brings salvation and helps us to say no to sin and yes to god god's grace purchased our salvation and makes it available to us through our faith jesus provides every good gift we will need and he's preparing a place called heaven we will one day call home oh hallelujah what a day what a day glorious day that's going to be my my we say farewell to our loved ones here there's a separation i'll see several of you sitting here tonight that most recently given up loved ones and that's that's never an easy thing but the song says there's coming a day whether or not sorrow will be no more tears to dim the eye let me tell you something that's what revelation 21 says that he will wipe all tears from our eyes and there'll be no more pain there'll be no more death nor any such thing oh hallelujah what a day what a glorious day that's going to be that's what the grace of god is for give the lord a hand clap oh thank you thank you thank you thank you jesus in 1779 john newton described his personal experience of conversion and his best known him in as amazing grace in the first stanz he reflects on his life-changing experience of being wretched lost and blind comparing it to being saved found and able to see oh i once was lost but now i'm found was blind but now i see because grace had brought me save us for it gracefully demand and then the fourth stanza says when we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun we've no less days to sing god's praise than when we first begun this grace is our blessed hope amazing and beyond the limited comprehension of mortal minds oh saints of god ladies and gentlemen i've got i've got great news for you except it's not news to you that knows the lord this is our blessed hope of the second coming of the lord because at that second coming that we're waiting for we're going to go back with him and the bible the bible said that the trump of god will sound and the dead in christ arise first then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air i love to think of that so much because first of all it said the trump of god will sound and the dead in christ shall rise first now don't matter where they died no matter where they are what grave where the lord knows where they are the the body goes back to dust but the spirit goes back to god who gave it and god's going to give us a new body like and unto his glorious body and when that trumpet of god sounds the dead in christ shall rise first and then we which are alive if it happened tonight if it happened tonight if it happened this very moment we who are in the city who are alive we're going to get but the saints of god they're already going to be up there in the in the clouds with him and we're going to meet them in the air you we used to say an old song that said there is going to be a meeting in the air oh hallelujah there's going to be a time when the trump and sons of the dead and christ rise and that we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the lord in the air [Applause] oh hallelujah hallelujah those of you and many of us have lost loved ones recently there's going to be a home coming that's going to kept all homecomings that's ever been what a day what a glorious day it's going to be i think i maybe told you about my sister when she many years ago went to the doctor and the doctor diagnosed her with having a very very aggressive type breast cancer told her miss denny if you have any business to attend to you better go home and take care of it because this is a very aggressive type cancer and she went home and wrote a song said i don't plan to stay here very long and let me tell you something that's the way i feel about it now i don't plan to stay here very long i'm going to leave this oh this whole world and i'm going to join with all the saints of god and what a glorious day it's going to be god's grace is what saves us in his own image and after his pleasure god created adam and eve and humanity became the fondest and the greatest uh creation that god had created everything else he spoke into existence he said let there be and it was let there be and it was let there be and it was but when it comes to man he he gathered up dusk and formed man out of the dust of the earth and breathed breath into his nostrils and he became a living soul and then of course god god said it wasn't good for man to be alone somebody said that god looked at man and said i can do better than that and he created a woman and he has helped me and threw it through the then he put them in a beautiful garden and in that garden was the tree of life and that garden was every fruit every everything they needed to sustain life everything they needed was there and he said you can eat of every tree in this garden even the tree of life but there's one tree you can't eat and that's the tree of knowledge of good and evil god did not want adam and eve to even know what evil was like he didn't want he didn't want them to know what cancer was like he didn't want them to know what heart trouble was like he didn't want them to know what sin was like and the children don't you eat of that tree but along came the serpent and said has god told you not to eat of this tree and yes he did but he said you will not surely die the devil wants to put a doubt in your mind of what god said he don't mean it and he won't keep his word oh god she you will not surely die surely this is up and he gave the the fruit to eve and she ate thereof and it was pleasant to the eye and she gave to her husband and he partook of it also and then the bible said their eyes were immediately open and they realized they were naked they did they had no they had no realization it was like two infant babies that that don't know what been naked is like they had no shame no fear nothing at all but when they ate of that fruit of knowledge their eyes were open and they realized they were naked and they hid themselves because every day the voice of god came walking in the garden in the cool of the day and so they'd sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons aprons to hide their nakedness and the voice of god came in the garden and said adam where art thou and adam when when he came forward and god said why have you hid yourself who told you you were naked he said the woman you gave me she she bid me to partake of a fruit i did and then of course they say that men has always been blaming the woman for everything but whatever that whether that's true or not or whether it's a joke or not but she said the serpent she be he beguiled me and because this happened then god said we're going to put a flaming sword here you're going to have to leave this garden adam you're gonna have to till the ground that's gonna bring forth thorns and thistles you're gonna have to earn instead of eating from trees that that all you gotta do is pluck the the fruit and eat it you're gonna have to till the ground and the ground is not going to be kind it's going to bring forth thorns and thistles and the sweat of your face you'll earn your living in the woman he said you'll be saved in childbearing your desire shall be to your husband and you're going to bring in in in pain you're going to bring forth children and said but you'll be saved in the new testament it said you'll be saved in childbirth if you continue in the faith just bearing children don't save you you've got to live right tilling the ground of thorns and thistles don't save you you've still got to live right psalms 85 and 10 is a one of my favorite scriptures and uh this week i studied this and i got a commentary on this that i'd like to share with you hear me quote from adam clark often but this scripture i i ran by him in my computer and uh psalms 85 and 10 it says mercy and truth are met righteousness and peace have kissed each other mercy and truth now you listen to that what a beautiful statement mercy and truth now truth demands paying the price truth is truth but mercy is something else now notice what he says about this mercy and truth are met together it would be more simple to translate the original mercy and truth have met on the way righteousness and peace have embraced this is a remarkable text and much has been said on it but there is a beauty in which i think has not been noticed mercy and peace are on one side truth and righteousness on the other truth requires righteousness mercy calls for peace can i read that again listen to that now truth requires righteousness mercy calls for peace but they met together on the way one going to make inquisition for sin the other to plead for reconciliation having met their differences on certain considerations not here particularly mentioned are adjusted and their mutual claims are blended together in one common interest on which peace and righteousness immediately embrace thus righteousness is given to truth and peace is given to mercy oh hallelujah mercy and truth they met they embraced their kiss they settled [Music] go ahead and give the lord a hand clap they settle their differences they they settle their differences well i i can't i can't wait the last scripture in my notes and i've got 12 pages of notes and i'm not i'm not going to be using them all i i don't think micah 7-9 i will bear the indignation of the lord because i have sinned against him now listen to that we're talking about mercy and truth are met righteousness and peace have kissed i will bear the indignation of course you know what indignation is that's that's anger and revenge and the indignation mad i'll bear the indignation of the lord because i have sinned against him until he plead my cause and execute judgment for me he who is mad at me he who has indignation against me because i have offended him i've done him wrong now then he's going to plead my cause mercy and truth are met righteousness and peace of kiss if you can see the beauty of what i'm preaching tonight if you can see how we stand by even though we're mortal and we're in the adamic family and and mercy and truth are meeting and something has taken place where did mercy and truth meet who put them together i'll tell you who it was it was jesus christ and they met on mount calvary hallelujah jesus was the one that's here's i've said it until he plead my cause and actually he's going to execute judgment for me and he will bring me forth to the light and i shall behold his righteousness the very one that i've sinned against the very one that's angry against me is the one that's going to plead my cause i believe i'm going to be a winner when isaiah said his name shall be called wonderful and counselor what a counselor you're going to have the the prosecuting attorney is also the defense attorney he's not only the prosecuting attorney he's not on the defense attorney he's the judge he says oh give him a handclap would you please praise god praise god it's kind of like mom and dad you know mom and dad they'll they'll get mad at you for disobeying and they'll bring you to they'll scold you real good and and and scare you to death and then before they get through they put their uh i do this i love you i i do this because i love you and then they they they show and express and demonstrate their kindness and their love i want to tell you something god tells us not to sin he's angry at us he's angry the bible says anger with the wicked every day but you know what he does he puts his arms right and says i still love you i love you and he settles the differences and i repent of my little children these things right eye unto you that you're seeing up but if you do we have an advocate i've got a lawyer i've got somebody that pleads my cause and and he's the judge so therefore he puts his arms around me and loves me and forgives me that is grace not disgrace give me another hand clap until he plead my cause and he execute judgment and his judgment that he executes for me there was a woman who came to jesus she was taken in her sins cast down at his feet that day she was guilty and condemned and the law said she must pay the price for mistakes that she had made but her shame became rejoicing when she heard the savior say i forgive you i forgive you you can go away and sin no more that's the grace of god that he extends to each and every one of us well where was i jumped to my last point but i'm running out of time and let me go back and find where i am mercy and truth about righteousness and peace have kissed first timothy 2 15 not withstanding she shall be saved in childbearing if they continue in the faith in charity and holiness with sobriety now we're going back to this misuse of grace the woman will be saved in childbearing now childbearing does not save her but notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbirth if they continue in faith in charity and holiness with sobriety in this promise we find god's desire to save humanity not destroy it even though it spiraled downward deeper and deeper in sin god loved us and eventually paid the ultimate price of wrapping himself in human flesh and shedding his blood on calvary for us god saw in genesis 6 5 god saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth and the very imagination and thoughts of his heart was only evil continually and the lord said i will destroy man whom i created from the face of the earth both man and beast and the creeping things and the thoughts of the air for it repenteth me that i have made them but noah found grace in the eyes of the lord uh pastor believe it uh first peter 3 21 i believe is the scripture i want first peter 3 21 and uh i'd like for you to read for me the first mention of grace in the bible is directly connected to salvation noah found grace and his family was saved from the great destruction of the flood through salvation by grace it was initially experienced by one family god's intent was for everyone to be covered by grace his desire is that none should perish but that all should come to repentance ii peter 3 9 the lord is not slack concerning his promise as some men count slackness but is longsuffering to us we're not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance pastor first peter 3 21 the like figure maybe we ought to go up one verse uh give the like figure what's he talking about the like figure verse 20 which sometimes we're disobedient okay let's go back another one we're going to have verse 19 but which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison go back up one more verse 18. we'll be reading the whole chapter go ahead and read that but christ also has once suffered for sins okay this is it right here now now listen carefully for christ has also suffered what once once he suffered once for sin the just for the unjust the just he was just and we were the unjust that he might bring us to god that he might bring us to god being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the spirit being put to death in the flesh but quickened of the spirit he became a man so he could die and he was quick he said destroy this temple and in three days i will raise it up again go ahead now by which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison now a lot of people even preachers in my opinion get the wrong interpretation of this verse read above that again you just read it before we get to that one god excuse me being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the spirit all right quickened by what the spirit yeah now what did the spirit do quicken in the spirit now then by which by which also he went and preached unto the spirit now something some folks think that jesus went and preached to folks in hell that's not the meaning of that scripture by the spirit but by that he preached through noah that same spirit he preached to the spirits and prisons through noah by that spirit i'm jesus is preaching to you tonight by his spirit but he's using a little country boy from southeast missouri who's the son of a sharecropper but it's it's his spirit that's energized and giving me the words to say to you all right he was quickened by the spirit by which he went and preached to spirits in prison which sometime were disobedient which sometimes were disobedient when once the long-suffering of god waited in the days of noah when once the long-suffering of god waited in the days of noah while the ark was a preparing while the ark was repairing noah was preaching righteousness the bible said he preached the righteousness now then he was preaching righteousness for over a hundred years or a hundred while he was building the earth he was telling folks get right but god and there's gonna become a flood he was warning them and god was being patient and waited for them to repent but they did not wherein few that is eight souls were saved by water all right god was long-suffering he gave them all that time he preached to them through the spirit of through his spirit through noah and now then we're in eight souls were saved how by water now hold on a minute how could they be saved by water and all the rest of them doomed by water they were saved by water what the like figure the like figure where unto even baptism wherein even baptism doth also now save us does it also save us why did we preach baptism so hard why do we oh hallelujah the baptist we're in eight children that like figure to when baptism death now also save us when they said to peter and thus the apostles men and brother what shall we do then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ father initiative sin and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost give the lord a handicap well just stand with me we're just standing with him oh praise god praise god the grace of god the like figure wherein two baptisms also save us now the reason is say that noah had an ark and he was in that ark and that everybody nobody else had an ark but him and him and his family were saved the rest of folks had a had a hundred years to repent and didn't now you and i have got the opportunity of of taking advantage of the grace of god when they said to peter and the rest of him now he had just said in the first chapter of acts acts 1 and 8 and you shall receive power after the holy ghost has come upon you and you should be witnesses unto me in jerusalem judea some air and the other most parts are there now just skip right on over in the second chapter of acts he told them not to leave jerusalem until they were endured with power and now then when the day of pentecost was full to come they were all with one accord in one place and suddenly there came a sun from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting there appeared to them clothing tongues like as afar and it set up on each of them they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with tongues as the spirit gave us they all down so they thought this having a drunken party up there in the upper room but when they get they said to peter the blessed apostles well first peter said let all the house of israel know surely that god has made the same jesus whom you have crucified both lord and christ when they heard this they were pricked in their hearts oh we crucified the son of god we've crucified the messiah and they were pricked in the heart and said repeatedly the rest of the apostles men and brother what must we do then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the message and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost for the promises and to you and your children and to all that are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call aren't you thankful for the grace of god give the lord a hand clap
