Holy Name of Jesus and it's good to see you are you ready to study the word of the Lord tonight we have a a great Bible lesson in in the lesson prepared for us tonight and I've enjoyed studying it and if you've got uh we'll call it a quarterly or Sunday school book hope you get one and and you can read along with us this is actually series one and um it's actually for the March 5th date and since we're not teaching on Sunday morning we are about a week behind what the chronological uh designated date is on there uh Sunday school literature but this is uh tonight's lesson is entitled the two debtors the two debtors and we'll be dwelling on this tonight and give it some thought and the focus verse is wherefore I say unto you unto thee persons which are many are forgiven or she loved much but to whom little Is Forgiven the same loveth much this is a story that's quite quite uh familiar with most Bible readers and the one great thing about the the teaching of Jesus um he actually you don't read a lot of great deep uh far out of lessons Jesus talked about everyday things he talked to people he would talk to it was recorded of course in the Gospels and he he he gave a lesson and they're even well back before he started his Earthly Ministry uh when he was uh lost by his parents in the temple they had gone up to pay their their you know to perform their uh religious duties and that travel today's Journey before they realized that he wasn't with them and it must have been quite a festive thing with uh All Families I remember used to years ago have family reunions and new reunions and all the mccools had big families and there'd be a big crowd uh there would be uh Uncle Nick and Uncle Tommy and Uncle shorty and well I can't even remember all the uncles and they all had a house full of children and we all got together and had a great great great time well can you imagine these folks having to go up to Jerusalem uh to do their worshiping and also they had to go up to to pay their taxes and when uh Mary and Joseph realized that Jesus wasn't with them of course I'd say that he I believe it the Bible Bears out us to about 12 years old and they thought he was with some of the cousins or some of the others and and they they when they got excited uh to find out that he wasn't with any of the kin folks they went back to the to Jerusalem and they found him in the temple and the the lesson here is you'll find him right before you left him and he he just didn't go with them when they left and he was in the temple discussing with doctors and lawyers and answering their questions and asking them questions and um they got excited and said no and we have sought this over and said what do you mean doing and Jesus said with you not I must be about my father's business well that was a little bit sharp to say to your Earthly uh uh stepfather you're really not my father you're my stepfather my father is in heaven and he says so that was a another great lesson many many many sermons have been preached about this I must be about my father's business and then as he as he grew and then uh his first miracle was the Turning water into wine when he went to the wedding in Canyon of Galilee and uh and that that became a great uh sermon uh Storehouse from preachers to preach about uh Mary said uh whatever he says to you do it first of all Mary said to him said to Jesus said they've run out of wine and he said woman what about to do with thee and I think uh that that seemed a little bit sharp also but Mary wasn't offended she turned to the servants around the and she said whatsoever he saith that he'd do it and uh so then he turned and told him you know the story about filling the water pots and he when they started to drink of the water uh they said normally you you serve the the the the the good one first to save the bad stuff later when folks are well drunken but said this man has saved the best of the last so uh the point I'm making now Jesus did not attempt to go into great deep theological uh oratory uh but I think we preachers could learn a great lesson about this so sometimes we want to get something that nobody's ever heard we want it to be deep and profound and we we search and we study and we find stories to to accompany our our message and and I don't criticize that I'd much rather hear a preacher that reflects study and preparation as one that gets up and says pray for me and that God will give me something to say I I like to see a preacher talk to God and study before he gets up but this is what I'm saying tonight the simple stories in the life of Jesus if we'll just listen and I can kind of chuckle to myself uh when I'm studying I I in my laptop computer I've got I think it's uh 25 different versions of the Bible and I don't know that many are more commentaries and um I'd like to study every angle and any new thing that I can read that is a factual election but well I I got to studying this and uh they spent more time trying to differentiate between um uh was it this town or that town and was a this and was it that and I thought of brother Gene Adams and preached for us years ago he made a statement that has stayed with me he said the the Bible sure sheds a lot of light on these commentaries well the Bible the thickest one I've got there there the whole family Bible is not but about two or three inches thick but I I've got a set of Clark's commenters take six big volumes on my shelf and and to try to explain and I think Gene Adams was right when he said the Bible sheds a lot of light on the commentary so as we look at this uh I'm not looking for some deep hidden meanings uh as I studied I saw they said hey it says what it means and it means what it says so let's look at it uh Luke chapter 7 starting in verse 36. and one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him and he went into the Pharisees house and sat down to meet now in the commentaries there were so many Anglers about this about they told about how people sit how they didn't sit at a table like we do and gave all this uh how that they would sit down and uh half a half laying down and to eat and then went into all of that what about that that's okay to know their customer that day but the fact of the matter is the point is there was a Pharisee that invited him to come to his house and to eat that's the and that's that's the way it is uh if you'll invite him he'll come to your house if you'll if you'll just invite him he's ready to come he's not too good he's he's not too high and mighty minded to come to the lowest and the next person and behold a woman in the city and boy did they ever give this a long uh and every one of them had a different angle about this woman who she was was it Mary Magdalene or I was she a prostitute was she a an aged woman and that and the amazing thing they they didn't agree with one another it was an awful lot of speculation well it don't matter whether it was Mary Magdalene or not it don't matter the fact of the matter the Bible simply said this we know one thing about her what is that she was a sinner that's right now what kind of sin they tried to speculate and what kind of sin and one speculated it was this and one speculated about that and and many many many many assumed that she was a prostitute well the Bible don't say that and and and let me add this you and I need to be careful when we start trying to categorize the depth of some people's sins did you know that and and we we speculate and we imagine and we say this one is give to this and this and this and and um we put sin in categories you know the law even murder there's there's a a first degree murder and there's a third degree murder and there's all kind of levels of of of convictions and there's misdemeanors at all well the Bible simply said she was a sinner I was seven years old when I came to the Lord and I was had the same problem that that woman did I was a sinner let me tell you something I don't care who you are I don't care what your name is I don't care if your daddy was a preacher or bishop or elder or Deacon I don't care if your daddy was rich or if he was a homeless creature on the street the fact of the matter is if you're a sinner you need a savior if you're a sinner you need a savior and I got news for you if you are a sinner no matter what category you may have fallen you've got a savior that's willing to come to your house [Applause] oh my and here I am supposed to be teaching and yelling but I I get excited I do this at home sometime when I'm studying sister because I don't know what did you say would you uh honey I wasn't talking to you I sometimes I'm talking to myself sometimes I'm talking to the Lord and sometimes I catch myself laughing at Labs sometimes I'll catch myself tears you're tripping down my foot what's the matter what are you are you hurt no no I just read something that touched my heart and behold a woman in the city who was him Mary Magdalene Sally Jones Missy Master it don't matter who she was she was a woman she was a she was a human being and she came in and behold a woman in the city which was a sinner when she knew that Jesus said at meat in the Pharisees house brought an alabaster box appointment and they had a boy they had a Heyday with that what what's an alabaster box and and there's uh it seemed that they all agreed that it was a perfume box and by calling that a box I said because it didn't have a handle on it and it contained perfume and they said that in that day they sealed it with uh with uh wax so that they wouldn't lose its fragrance and wouldn't lose his strength but she brought that Alabaster Box whatever it was it don't matter she brought an alabaster box of ointment and let me come in on that it don't matter what you've got to give the Lord you give what you have and he's going to accept it in the Bible if they were able they gave a bullock if they didn't have a bullock they gave a sheep they're a goat if you didn't have that opinion if you didn't have that bring a handful of flour I got news for you you are well able to pay sins deadly because all he requires of you Peter said when they said to Peter men and Brethren what shall we do he didn't say go catch a pigeon or go catch a dove or get a handful of flour or bring a red heifer or bring a bullock he said we're under a new law a new dispensation repent repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost well that's pretty simple isn't it well I like I like that new plan I mean have an alabaster box I don't have to don't need one all I've got to do is repent and get baptized in his name well it said and she stood At His Feet behind him weeping the Bible said Godly sorrow worketh repentance now she stood behind him weeping now I don't know that there's any Bible that says that you have to weep or cry to get repentance but I will say this the Bible says Godly sorrow worketh repentance and this woman stood behind him weeping and I still this is my own personal view now this is a scripture I don't mean to preach this as a Doctrine I'd love to see broken people that are broken I preached the message some years ago if it ain't broke break it and I preached this the other night part of those thought David after he had done all that he had done he said if God wanted to sacrifice I'd give it I'd gladly give it and I read you off uh he had he had a master of tremendous wealth some 2 billion dollars worth of material to give to the house of God to the for the building of the house of God and but he said if God wanted sacrifice I'd give it but it said the thing that God wants is a broken in a contrite heart the thing this woman had she stood behind him weeping that was worth as much to God as David's two billion dollars worth of material everything from Iron to Gold to Silver to brass and on and on but yet the only thing that really made things right with God for David was a broken and a contrite spirit at heart and if we could realize that today and those who really want to know the Lord Godless sorrow worketh repentance but she stood behind him weeping and the Bible said let me go back to this weeping and began to wash his feet with tears and did what them with the hairs of her head can you imagine in those days they wore we call them sadness it was merely a soul with the with the straps on it that kept the soul strapped to the the bottom of the feet and the the top of their feet was uh exposed to the dust and and most of the time they washed the feet before they ate it was and that was a custom and if they wanted a home that was well off they would have servants and the servants would pour water and and would wash your feet well this woman was weeping so profusely that her tears was falling on his feet and those Dusty feet she washed his feet with her tears and her hair was long enough evidently because the Bible said and she did wipe his feet with the hairs of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with ointment oh such love and and adoration now one of the comments of the common terrorists said that this woman had been delivered from prostitution and or what or other maladies and she was so thankful for her Deliverance that she was coming to show her things well the Bible don't say that this may have been the first time she had ever prayed in her life but she heard that Jesus was in the house and she had to get in that house and she loved him so much and she wanted her and she believed him so much that she was weeping profusely enough that she was able to wash his feet with her tears and dry his feet with the hair of her head I pray that people in this city will come to realize that there's a house in Knoxville where Jesus resides I like to feed people to realize and think and know that hey I know a place a few years back Sister Amy farmer gave me a and clipping out of the newspaper and and they had a used to run a series of things uh in the Knoxville News Sentinel the best restaurant in town and they I don't know how they determine that but they'd tell you the best restaurants they would tell you the best and then in one week they'd have the best bar in town and the best garage in town and I don't know who the who voted on it but every week was a different uh uh feature a place of business or something and one week it came out the best place to go to worship God the best worshiping place and they had First Apostolic Church 50 20 pleasure at the man I would rather have that honored as to say we had the most beautiful building of the most expensive to say that it was a place to come to worship God let the city of Knoxville know that Jesus resides here worshiping people resides here folks are saying give him a handclap praise I don't mean to be gloating I mean to be expressing what has actually happened and the city takes a note of it we've just experienced the most unusual situation and my 75 years of ministering I have never experienced anything quite like the funeral of brother Roger or the death I should say of brother Roger Davis uh he had been a regular caller to the sports call-in shows and he stuttered so bad you had to really listen carefully to understand what he was saying and yet he was he was very intelligent and if you can understand what he was saying and we need to call our house I I'd put him on speaker and let sister McCool she'd have to interpret for me she of course she does that for a lot of phone calls for me because uh I've got hearing aids and it does increase the volume but it don't increase the clarity I still have to say what did you say what'd you say but anyway that's me not not Roger so but but he had called in and and there's several uh Sports talk shows on in the city of Knoxville I'm not acquainted with all of them can't call all of them but they're very popular in our in our Sports loving town like Knoxville and and his his loving kind spirit loving God and manifesting that spirit had captured their imagination or captured their idea and they would take time to let him speak and and uh I believe uh uh Tony basilio he stated in his article that I used in in the funeral message that he had a brother that was had special needs and he was taught to treat him no different to anybody else and he said that's the way I treated Roger and um I heard him the next day after the funeral and he somebody called in and thanked him for uh his uh respect and his words toward Roger and he said yes he said I've been to I've been freaked out and he said I told my wife this morning I can't believe it's really happened that Roger is gone and I thought how how precious for a public figure to make statements like that and then John Adams a nationally known sports writer uh the next day after the funeral so he's talked about the still uh uh uh accolades and the things that's coming in well my my point right now is that may we have an attitude that will make folks want to come to the Lord make them want to come to First Apostolic and not a show but let us truly what just has Pastor given us a a slogan our goal is souls and we love souls it don't matter what color what nationality uh what gender we love souls and our goal is Souls well so much now when the Pharisees when the Pharisee which had bitten him saw it he's faked within himself saying now remember this was just in himself he didn't say it out loud he said in himself man if he if he was really improperable he'd know who and what man or woman this is that touched him for she's a sinner self-righteousness began to come to the top like cream on milk it began to rise to the Top If he knew who she was you know let us take a common lesson from this in our church let us not categorize sinners um the Bible even spoke if somebody come in with uh beautiful clothes expensive clothes on you don't show them special attention they give them a house and somebody put don't don't make it don't make a difference in them I have very have people say I I I'd come to church but I don't have closer listen I try to dress as as best I can to come into the house of God but one thing about my my wardrobe I I I've worn a soup to preach in so long that's my work clothes and uh whatever you have whatever as long as you're decent come on to church if it's overalls if it's blue jeans uh you come on to church but this Pharisee he this woman evidently had a reputation or he would have thought this to himself but right off he categorized her as somebody so vile that if Jesus was really a prophet he would do something about the way she was doing but what he didn't realize and we need to realize this too watch this the same God or the same prophet that could discern whether or not she was a sinner could also read his mind too and he didn't think of that he thought he ought to and some do you know who that is in the altar well it don't matter if it's a sinner that sinner needs saving so Jesus answering said unto him Simon I have somewhat to say unto thee and he said Master say on there was a certain creditor which had two debtors the one old 500 Pence and the other 50. now 501 and 50 the other if you had somebody owed you five hundred dollars and then somebody else owed you fifty dollars then at the if you forgive both of them then what's this what's the the closing statement notice what the outcome became and when they had nothing to pay he frankly forgave them both tell me there for which of them which of them will love him most Simon answered and said I suppose that he to whom he forgave most and he said unto him thou has rightly judged and it turned to the woman and said unto Simon seeth thou this woman I entered into thy house God gave us me no water for my feet but she hath washed my feet with tears and wiped them with the hairs of her head thou gave us me no kiss but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet my head with oil thundant is not anoint but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment wherefore I stand to thee her sins which are many are forgiven for she loved much but to whom little Is Forgiven the same loveth little and he said unto her thy sins are forgiven now the lesson in this paragraphs right here is generally speaking a person that has a great debt of sin hanging over their head your life has been so wrecked and ruined and there's so much guilt and remorse you can't sleep at night you walk down the street and folks Point their finger at you and some folks will cross the street and you've gained a bad reputation and then it's just suddenly wiped away just wipe the what the slates wipe clean you've got to be filled with gratitude you've got to be so thankful well somebody else that owes very little and they're forgiven very little Jesus said they don't and there's a there's a lesson in that and and I think the lesson in that is this you may think of yourself as being a very good sinner I've heard a lot of folks say I'm not a bad person I hadn't killed anybody I've heard that say many have you ever heard anybody say that I may not be the best friend but I'm not a bad person I have never I've never robbed a bank I've never killed anybody and they equate themselves with somebody that's a real bad person but the real fact of the matter is I'm going to read some sins to you here in a few minutes I've got them and by scripture and I'm gonna I'm gonna go asking about it raising their hands but I'm going to let you see where you fall into this category whether you'd fall in the category with this woman or this Pharisee because he was a good the Pharisees were were very religious they they were some of the the most fanatic Believers of the Jewish religion they believed in keeping everything I mean they they even made it strictly what the law was well we get to that in just a minute and uh and he said to her thy sins are forgiven and David said to meet with him begin to say within themselves now this sounds like there were others there besides uh disparity because the others in those days it appears all I studied in the Bible that uh that they they welcomed a a pretty good crowd to come and eat with them that they were not as uh today we have so much population and and uh folks come in an unexpected or unannounced the housewife gets all nervous and and they wanted they're afraid somebody's gonna go away and talk about them and they get all you remember me preaching the message I believe brother uh Whitley admissions the other night uh some folks are so busy serving Jesus uh to serve Jesus and my what God impressed upon my heart was uh when Mary and Martha the town they lived in Jesus and his disciples came through and they said at meat with Mary and Martha now as far as a no Mary and Martha were either witted or or Mage I don't know but they they speak to no man in the house other than Lazarus the brother well uh Martha got so nervous she went about getting the house clean and and she was preparing for the these unexpected guests they they didn't know that that 13 people had if there's 13 of Jesus is 12. well finally marriage she just sitting down with the fate of Jesus and started listening to him and Martha she took all she could take she went to Jesus and said master do you not can can't you see that I'm doing all the work around here my my sister's sitting here said can't you can't you tell him to help me bidder to help me and Jesus in them I the way the scripture reads my imagination is is of the tone was she Martha Martha you're cumbered and troubled about many things but there's one thing that's needful in Mary has chosen the good part that should not be taken away and the Bible will tell us any more about that but uh he might have gone ahead and said Mary won't you go episode I don't know the Bible don't say that but he didn't Jesus refused to insert himself in a in a family squabble about who was helping her with the house and that's a great lesson for we preachers we can get we get pulled into a lot of family problems that we ought not to get pulled into and Jesus told the man that that said uh bid my brother divide the inheritance he said man who made me a divider of The Inheritance so Jesus we preachers need to keep ourselves out of people's personal lives because we don't know you make yourself an interview well let's get back to the story the people in the in the house with the Pharisee there are several there and when my story with Mary Martha Martha was too busy serving Jesus to serve Jesus and my point of that was we need to be careful we can get so busy doing what we do around the church to to Really worship and I love to see the way the uh first episode of church you're worse been better than I've ever seen I really mean that I told sister McCool here the other day uh that we've changed our style of worship seemed like a lot but we used to almost have to beg folks come come to the altar come by and the song gets started hearing folks starts coming around the next thing you know big little old and young begin to feel this place and they start worshiping God and I sure don't have any criticism of that that's that's an absolute wonderful thing you're not too busy serving to serve Jesus just keep on serving him all right let's go on um and they've just said to me with them again to say within themselves who is this That Forgives all right here we go here we go somebody can always find fault with what happens the god of Heaven manifests in flesh told that woman your sins are forgiven and somebody had to criticize it no matter what kind of service we have you'll find somebody that can criticize it are you are you all right with that no matter what kind of song If it's fast if it's slow um and then we need to be and did you know you and I individually can be guilty of that for you know it you'll realize before you know it you don't realize you find yourself critical of everything well of all the things I could criticize around First Apostolic Church and we could every one of us tell the truth you don't like one color carpets because you do another you don't like this because you do something else but I won't tell you something the worst fault I can find is so small compared to the worsome and to see the oh dear mama it might have stunk terrible on Noah's Ark those are the rhinoceros and the the hyenas and the pole cats and it must smell terrible but I want you to know the stink inside that Ark was lost better than the storm outside the ark I'd I could put up with a stink better than the storm and and I Gea evening how do I are you with me oh yeah now I'll remind you something the first church the very first church it was a small Church they never didn't have two members had the best pastor that's ever been he had they had a pastor that was so powerful he could pick up a lot of dirt and make a human being out of it their Pastor was so powerful he could just breathe into a a lump of clay and make it into a human being what a pastor he only had two Saints and they both backslid now how about that now how what about it what about our church what about us uh when you talk about the average I think we I think we're doing a pretty good job if you ask me I want you to know the the the the the stink is not as bad as the storm they can criticize all they want to and say he should have known that she was a sinner yes she's a sinner and they loved her and he forgaveth and said I forgive you he forgave her oh Hallelujah um excuse me please I I get a little bit excited now when I think about all the good and if you start if you start looking at the good what about your family there was I might not like this or that or the other but look look look look what's happened to my son my grandson my granddaughter my great-grandchildren coming home to see these a little old Callaway he is eight months old and right now you start he's 10 months old 10 months old right now and they start singing and he'll start clapping his hands and kicking and shouting and caring he don't know what he's doing but he knows he feels something and brother uh Lambert's little granddaughter the cutest little thing she hears she'll come run oh I know we've got to have order in the church I know that I've got two great granddaughters who love to run across here and to their daddy of their grand parcel before that I know that and but let me tell you something that's a whole lots better than having them turning into a teenager and start dressing like this present World dresses and going with us staying out at night you don't know whether they're on drugs what you better get them in and let them shout and sing and praise God fall in love let them love the Lord let them worship let them worship yes we know this is a sinner yes we know and then the very idea for them to start criticizing and say who is this that can forgive sin but God you're right but the trouble is you're Sublime you realize you're looking at God Jesus out all the woman's away if you knew who was talking to you if you only knew who was talking to you you would ask of him and he would give you living water oh are you greater than our father Jacob that gave us a will to drink throughout himself and gave his cattle and so on Not only was he greater than Jacob he was the one that created the water that went in Jacob's Well oh my how great our God is how great it is to be in a church family like we're in we we are we should be and I think we are the most thankful people on planet Earth to have what we've got oh how great it is um and he said unto the woman and he said unto her thy sins be forgive them and they said it meet with him began to say within themselves who is this that forgive sins also well I'll tell you who is God when Jesus told the man that said good Master Jesus said I call us thou me good there's none good but one but God well who in what sense is Jesus not good there's none good but one and that is God and when they asked Jesus Source the father and it suffice with us he said if I've been us a long time with you you don't know me laughs have I been with the star and you don't even know me he that has seen me has seen the father oh my oh my Hallelujah if we can only see he was the father in creation he wrapped himself in human flesh became a infant baby in the womb of the Virgin Mary was born lived third and three and a half years died on a cross went back to heaven and sent back to us the Holy Spirit he said I am with you but he said I shall be in you this is what in the 14th chapter of Saint John when he talked to them about who he was well that wasn't my subject to that so let me go home Andy said to the woman by faith has saved thee go in peace now I'm going to talk the last few minutes of our lesson tonight who is a sinner who is a sinner they they said that that woman is a sinner if he'd have known this Simon the Pharisee if you'd known Jesus had known old assignments that he he wouldn't let that woman wash his feet with their tears she's a sinner well what's who is a sinner Ecclesiastes 7 and 20 says for there is not a just man upon Earth that doeth good and sinneth not there is not a just man on this Earth that doeth good and sinneth not wait a minute Simon the Pharisees wait a minute Bishop McCool wait a minute custodian wait a minute choir director wait a minute musician wait a minute Usher wait a minute few occupier there's none good no not one for there is not a just man on Earth that doeth good and Sins Not now then we're going to do a little categorizing sin and see where you might fall in of course we're not guilty of these things Romans 1 starting verse 28 and even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do the things which are not convenient being filled with all unrighteousness fornication um yeah well you can mark that off my list you know Jesus said it's been said that thou shalt not commit adultery but I say unto you whosoever looketh upon a woman is to lust After Earth committed adulter with her already in his heart hold on bud oh no No Hands raised please but if you are a natural born human being you have a natural instinct to procreate that was put in You by God himself and it's something that you have to have the spirit of God to help you control God made the woman and man supposedly not supposedly actually to have desire for the opposite sex but it's supposed to be within the framework of God's word but Jesus said it's been said thy so not committed up but I say whosoever shall look upon a woman as a lesson after hers committed adultery with her I think there's two sides to that story too for a man to look upon a woman until us has committed a death from his heart but the woman that dresses that a manner which to make him lust I think she's guilty also and oftentimes this is what the society puts upon us is to dress it to knock his eye out to make him take a second look and then I'll I don't have to stay on that subject too long being filled with all unrighteousness fornication wickedness covetousness I call this the respectable sin this is a sin that I that fills the pulpit this is the sin that directs the choir this is the sin that prays for the sick with the bottle of olive oil this and I I don't mean to be pointing fingers at the the Elders you know the pastors of the song leader I'm pointing out actually I'm trying to point out the fact that nobody knows whether you've covet or not that's a that's a sin nobody can tell what you do now you can wear clothes uh in decent whatever but this is the the covetous maliciousness there's some folks that's got a malicious Spirit they've just got a malicious attitude about them full of envy and no hands raised please Envy murderer well did you know the Bible said if you hate your brother You're a murderer I've never killed anybody did you ever read the obituary column with any satisfaction somebody that you didn't like somebody that well I'm glad they're gone you know debate that word to be always arguing always in this always in a foot some folks say whatever you say there's folks I've talked to about they start questioning about the Bible they're not wanting to know anything they're wanting to find something that we can argue over something we can debate over than deceit we can I'm not I'm not deceitful we're not deceitful about our age our weight how smart we are ever argument we ever had for the way we tell it we're always the winner I'm always a winner malignity Whispers folks that behind you behind your whispering ah you don't want anybody to know what you're saying you hold your hand up because you've got something to say that it's evidently so bad that you know you don't want everybody to know right Crispers well I wouldn't do that at all at least I wouldn't admit it backbiters that's somebody that gets behind I won't say to your face but I'll sit behind your back I'm going to tell you to your face but I'll tell you behind your back then and then when you saw well I was just talking about you how great I think that's deceitfulness and a back batter and then haters of God despiteful proud the Bible said Pride I do hate bolsters oh I've missed a lot of those but that bolsters business I I'm not so sure I don't know I escaped that one bolsters inventors of evil things disobedient to Paris did you know there was scripture concerning your attitude towards your parents Disobedience the Bible said honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long on the Earth um I got to say that my mother and my father have the highest place and my memory bank of importance and greatness my father was not a big man to me he was the greatest farmer can plant the straightest row of cotton my dad it was absolutely this uh some things I guess three things that was totally incomparable to even consider my dad being guilty of a liar he he spoke of a liar with such disdain to steal or to be untrue to your companion those three things were through the just absolute Unthinkable for my father or my mother to lie or to steal or to be untrue to your companion and and I hold my parents in such high respect I do not ever recall ever talking back to my dad or my mother uh I guess the closest they ever came to talking back to my mothers when Mark was a baby a little just toddler and they we went to see Mom and Dad and I came in and she had him sitting in the middle of the floor had all the pots and pans out on the floor out of the cabinet Mark now Billy honey now when you stayed in a different people's homes like when he's here he can do what he wants to do that's what she said is that right honey when he's here he can do what it was and I said now Mom you can tell me that now but next week we're going to be in some preacher's home and if we let him do that here that's what he's going to want to do when he go to another preacher and and I can't do that I guess that was as close as I ever came to to scolding her are disagreeing with her the Bible said to honor your Parish this disobedient person without understanding Covenant Breakers without natural affection implacable unmerciful who knowing the judgments of God that they which commits such things are worthy of death not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them then Romans 3 and I'm coming to a close I'm a minute overtime one what then are we better than they no he said are we now all that Encyclopedia of sins well I don't I don't fall in any of those categories and yet Paul said what then are we better than they may know and no wise for we have before proved both Jew and Gentile that they are all under sin as it is written there is none righteous no not one first John 1 8 if we say that we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us but if we confess our sins he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness if we say that we have not sinned we make him a liar and his word is not in Us My Little Children these things write I unto you that you send up and if any man sin we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous and he is a propitiation for our sins and not for ours only but for the sins of the whole world would you stand I guess to sum it all up what I've tried to teach tonight is one of us can't point a finger at the other what others can't be same feel that we're better than somebody else first of all we don't know the other person's heart we don't know the other person's condition and no room don't forget the the study on the book of Jude putting some from the fight making a difference there's different people with different attitudes and different Temptations different trials we just said they need to pray one for another the Bible said and when I say that in our dismissal prayer let us continue to pray for sister Betty Richmond system of cool and I had the presence of visiting brother summers in the soldiers home uh this week and he's he's got a bright mind spoke very very fluent but he can't walk he said motorized wheelchair and he's seen very very happy but let's pray for brother brother Summers and then there are others and and also I want us to pray for brother and sister uh Harvey they lost their house in a terrible fire and I went by and it's just the brick wall standing it's just so of course I it don't matter how much insurance you have there's always many many things that cannot be replaced you you don't you don't ensure everything that you've got and it's it's always a big and great loss and let's let's pray for them and they're going through of course brother Sherwood he just laughs he's the most positive talking thinking person you've ever seen in your life how's that all we're fine just oh yeah well but it's going through a great great trial writing to the whole family let's be in prayer Paula we thank you tonight for the Bible study we thank you for the word of God I pray Lord that you'll let this word cause us to grow and realize who we are and who you are and that we are all capable of sin we all need the Forgiveness of God than none of us needs to be judgmental and anyone else and to point a finger to anyone else but we need to stand humbly before you and pray one for another I pray God your dismisses from this place but not from your presence bring us back to the next appointed time in Jesus name amen
