Turning your Bibles to Isaiah 54, as you turn there, I want to give honor today. It's right to do. I have been privileged to be here. This is my 17th year. I'm that old. And I want to give honor to my pastor, brother Josh Carson. He has been so gracious to me and to my family. I poured into me and my wife and fiscally and emotionally. He's been a strength and a covering and a protection. And I always, always has the mission in mind. I'm inspired by his passion for the work. And, man, I probably should not go too far. I am struck sometimes by the brother ranking by how you can get casual with the mission. We can get used to it. And I just have never seen my pastor get used to it. I love it. And of course, to be now accompanied by with brother ranking and his sweet wife.

You guys have been so gracious and, you know, our short meetings, you can feel hearts very quickly, but your desire to bless this team, to watch over it and to make sure we stay on mission. I appreciate you, sir. Thank you for being here. Give it away your life here. You could have done other things, but I appreciate you being here, man. And then brother Sleva and I love him. I don't know why he always wants to fade to the background. I could just give him the mic today. Let him preach away. And sometimes the most unassuming voices are the most powerful. But Sleva, I caught myself over the years of ministry after Indiana Bible College quoting sayings and things that you had placed in my heart and spirit and classes and moments like tomorrow. And I appreciate it very, very much. Would you give brother Sleva a hand?

There are pastors, you know, that are district superintendents and preached in AYC and all of our greatest events, general conference. And I believe from their own self-confession, some of them would say I would not be in ministry, maybe even saved. But wasn't for the mentorship of brother Sleva. Amen. Isaiah 54, I got to take off and land fast. I'll read two verses of scripture and let you be seated. Isaiah 54, 16 and 17. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work. God repeats and I have created the waster to destroy. And then we get into familiar territory because the Lord goes from that complexity to no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper. And every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment now shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.

And their righteousness is of me, sayeth the Lord. I'm going to talk a little bit today on a strange way to bring revival. A strange way to bring revival. Would you put your Bibles down for a moment and just help me a little bit? Just lift your hands to heaven and ask the Lord by his spirit to quicken me so that my words can be more than just verbiage and that something could strike your heart that would be lasting. Would you do that Lord? We ask you God by your spirit. In our weakness we confess our need of your strength. We ask you for your help, your unction, your guidance Lord. Touch a heart. Open our eyes to your ways today Lord so that we can be the people you're calling us to be in this moment. To operate without fear Lord. To operate in faith in the middle of complexity.

We ask it in Jesus' name, amen. God bless you, you may be seated. Strange way to bring revival. I love the book of Isaiah. Isaiah 54 is a beautiful passage. It is the first 10 verses describe Israel as a restored wife. The picture is vibrant and beautiful and you can see it. But when you get to the last few verses, you get 11 through 17, God switches metaphors through the prophet and says Israel is going to be like a rebuilt city. And the message is the same that God is trying to communicate to his people, no matter where you are now, the future is secure. It doesn't matter if you're dealing with Assyria or Babylon, they are not meant for Israel's destruction. And God lays it out particularly by repeating twice, I have created. And he says I have created the waster to destroy. I have even created the smith that made the waster's weapon.

The beauty is that God is communicating to his people, nothing can come into our lives as the people of God that would contradict his plans for our life. More than that, not only can it not contradict God's plans, it will serve his purpose. Now I come to preach faith today and I understand we're living in a complex moment. John 10, 10 is real. It's one of the most quoted verses but it needs to be said again today, the thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. But Jesus said I am come that you might have a life and that you might have it more abundantly. I was praying about this sermon brother Turner. It was before any of the events that transpired just yesterday, any of these things that had come to pass. And I just started reflecting and I said this is a strange moment Jesus.

This is a strange time. There are two intentions that are clearly seen in our world and two intentions that are felt. 24 years ago we had planes. You didn't know what I was going to preach today brother Turner when you opened up. But there was planes that were flown into twin towers and you can see the reality of good versus evil. You can see the dominance of two kingdoms at war in this world. And the reason you feel so much pressure is because you are in the overlap of two warring kingdoms and God is calling you to be his vessel that he can use in this time. I understand the feeling of Israel in this context that Assyria is threatening or maybe they're even called off into captivity and Babylon is everywhere and they're surrounded by the enemy. We don't have time to deal with the complexities.

I'll let you take Isaiah with Brother Herbs. But when you realize that they had the vessels of Israel's God down at the temple of Marduk. We you say you have victory Jew. You say that your God is powerful and you say that you can have victory even in and your God can bring victory in war. Then how is it that you're in this moment? How is it that we got his vessels down at our temple? I thought your God was a God of victory. And what they have to remember in those complex times just because we're in the middle of Babylon doesn't mean that the promises of God will not be fulfilled in our life. Don't lose faith in the moment of complexity. I understand this is way before yesterday but we're dealing with school shootings that are mostly our boys and that's right by the turn it's probably some man somewhere.

The numbers of teenage girls dealing with anxiety and depression and cutting and eating disorders. When you look at Canada and Australia and New Zealand and the UK I'm going to tell you that the moving massive increase of young girls checking themselves into psych wards is a real deal. And you have to understand we're living in complex times. When you have someone that's like a feminist named Abigail Schreyer saying that the social contagion that is affecting young girls it's up 1000% in the United States up 3000% in the United Kingdom and all of a sudden young preteen girls are the ones wanting to have transgendered surgery when a teacher says parents rights ended when they came into the school. You're living in strange times. Boys committing suicide four times the average life expectancy between girls and guys. And when you start looking at that and you're saying

how is it that the only time the life expectancy gap has been this large between male and female was during World War II. Strange times. That in Cambodia five-year-old girls are being sold by their parents into sex trafficking and God's put a call of missions on your life. There are more slaves now than when William Wilberforce started his anti-slavery movement because of sex trafficking. I'm telling you we're living in strange times. Political assassinations are now a reality in the American context. The complexities of our time are real. But I remind you what the apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 312. Yay all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Decades of self-centered living and worldliness have taken their toll and years of compromise. And if you'll forgive me corrupt officials operating in the government and the absence of conviction and toothless preaching

have created a moment and have had their effect both outside and inside the ranks of the church. I think it's strange the comments that we're getting from from really wild corners where we thought like outside we expect that. But let's just say brother Turner you quote the promise of God in Genesis 822 that as long as as the earth remain as seed time and harvest cold and heat summer and winter and day shall not cease. Somehow someone would say well maybe we need to think a little bit more about that and be a little more green brother Turner. Strange strange that a young man would have the audacity to lay hands on a godly elder and pray God help this elder not stand in the way of progress. Strange advocacy for wrong in strange quarters where brother Mooney would say the devil doesn't need an advocate he needs an adversary.

So quit telling me you're playing devil's advocate that's strange language. It doesn't belong in the mouth of a person called to the apostolic ministry. Doesn't belong in a leader in God's church. What he needs is somebody strong in faith understanding the times. Brother Kilman this is a strange sermon because I'm strange. I'm just going to remind you that you cannot fix the complexities of your times. You can barely understand them from the 60s until today. Divorce has doubled teen suicide is tripled violent crime is quadrupled prison populations up five times babies born out of wedlock six fold couples living together seven fold and the end is not in sight. Complexities the crumbling of western civilization is much like Rome where they're crying. Give me the games while the Rome is on fire and since 1983 10 million Americans have reached the 12th grade without learning how to read at a basic level.

20 million high school students yearly seniors rear yearly are unable to do basic math. 25 million 12th graders don't know the essentials of U.S. history. I'm telling you the complexities are real and you can unpack all of that on your own. You are not strong enough in your flesh. You are not wise enough in your flesh. You cannot deal with the complexities that we're facing. I come to remind you today it is out of your control but it's not out of his control and your future is coming but your future is going to be affected by your now and I'm just going to remind somebody today that Babylon is not in charge the Lord still sits on the throne and there is a God in heaven who can give you everything you need for the supply of his work and his calling in your life.

Many of you have heard at the New York Times is talking about Gen Z and anywhere from those from the ages of 12 to 27 years old. It's the first time among Christians young men are more likely to be religious than young women that young men attend more services that young men are more likely to identify as religious. Young men value traditional family and young men want to be parents more than their female peers. I'm just going to tell you there is a revival ready if you can lift your eyes up long enough to get it off Babylon and the complexities the complexity is the opportunity. Isabel Brown has that astonishing evidence that Gen Z is the most culturally and politically conservative generation since World War II and so what do I need to learn in the complexity of this moment you need to commit the sacrifice now that's what you need to learn you need to learn

to commit the sacrifice now you need to learn to develop a prayer life now you need to learn to walk in faith now you ready you need to learn to talk to sinners now because your today is about your tomorrow you look at the books of the Old Testament we call them the the former and latter prophets and when you look at the historical books Jesus says these things preach to us the law the prophets and Joshua is all of Israel together where people are having faith and and judges is when they're dispersed to the individual plots and you're going to be here one two three or four years and at the end of the day you're going to be dispersed and you're going to have to have enough faith developed here to make sure that you can step into your tomorrow the bible says that no weapon formed against thee shall prosper don't be intimidated by AI

don't be intimidated by the complexities of sexuality in our time no weapon formed against thee shall prosper you can pray at student body prayer meeting you can preach in chapel you can preach in msa you can preach you can sing in a 200 member choir but can i ask you a question what will you do when there's nobody else but you there what will you do when you're dispersed to the place that god has you and you're calling will you have grown yourself here to get yourself there can you operate in faith now so you can operate in faith then i know i know i'm being strong today but your today is about your tomorrow and god is building strength into you now i know some of you are saying brother killman i just have these feelings in prayer and i don't know everything that i've called to do yet because if god showed you

everything he wanted you to do you would be terrified but you ready when the door opens and that massive thing that would arrest your development right now brother eric if you could just hang on right now and let god develop in you what he's wanting to develop in you when you get there you can be grown to the moment that you can step in through that door to the next level of what god wants you to do your giants are looming in your future you're gonna have to go to a city by yourself and start a church you're gonna have to take a place like brother and sister gal you used to talk about in eagle river where they would have killed to be back in one more student body prayer meeting when it's just you and your spouse and no one else but if you

can't pray here you won't be able to pray there but if you can learn to seek god here it won't feed your tomorrow you're required to kill the lion and the bear what i come to preach today is that god foresaw foresaw this moment so you cannot be intimidated by it god said through the prophet i have created the waster to destroy the herpes he said is serious my axe god knows what everything in advance and i'll try not to get stuck in exegeting the text too much but no weapon that is formed against these shall prosper and every tongue every naysayer everyone that said you should go get a secular career every tongue that rise against the judgment thou shalt condemn why because the trials of saying yes the coming to i bc is a trial of faith that will stretch your faith the opportunities that you get while you're here will be

opportunities that stretch your faith you ready the crisis god says is mine you got to understand that everything that we face in terms of complexity did not surprise god it surprises you but it does not surprise god that's why you got to keep your little hand in god's hand and say wherever you lead me jesus i will follow why because you're in charge of today and tomorrow god through the prophet isaia way before they got to the babelonian captivity brother herpes gave them a prophecy you need to understand this crisis is mine and i will use it to disclose and reveal my wonder they're impossible times that we're living in and i promise you it will require a supernatural supply it will be beyond you and you can't plan how god will change the culture you can't plan how god will bring revival it will be beyond you this moment is his i'm gonna say it one more time you can't plan wonder

but the point is while you can't be in charge of supernatural supply you can be in the harvest you can't plan wonder but you can be obedient to his call you can't plan wonder but you can be about his work you can't plan wonder but if you're about his ministry you're gonna find the supply of the spirit why because your heart matches the heart of heaven and what you bind on earth will be bound in heaven what's what you lose on earth will be loosed in heaven and if you get in alignment with the will of god you will find the supply of god in his action as you do his work x217 and 18 it's maybe the shortest sermon i've ever preached pause close number one x217 and it shall come to pass in the last days say if god i will pour out my spirit upon

all flesh everybody say god's supply and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams and upon my servants and upon my handmaidens i will pour out in those days of my spirit and they shall prophesy what is the apostle peter being inspired on the inception of the church to give us as a methodology you ready methodology is how do i do church work your voice and your prophecy your song and your sermon has to be of the spirit you ready your dreams have to be of the spirit your visions have to be of the spirit you will need the supply of heaven and you're going to find it in the field i'll try to hurry i called a text a friend of mine this morning said brother manuel can i share your story he said yes anytime brother kill

brother charles and manuel and his sweet wife is a couple of my heroes they were planting a church in northern california little cow town brother rinkin called warlock and and they had some growth and we went with them they i love them to death uh they were they were struggling they were playing uh they were playing soundtracks and singing with the music when i went now of course they're they're band is playing in the groan and god's blessed them uh with other things i'm going to tell you i i don't care how you start out but the person with the coolest story is going to be the person in the field see missionaries and church planners and people that are involved in bible studies they have the coolest stories and it's still just listening to testimony say man ain't that good how about you just let the lord put a testimony alongside

your ministry when you realize the treasure is in the field brother manuel said during covet it happened and of course uh california was wild and there they are in the middle of complexity trying to do the will of god and it and it felt like it decimated their attendance in their church and they went from growing that church in orland to having everything almost shut down i remember sunday and and it would just look like it was me and my wife and his family maybe three or four other people in that building and i just remember the lord it and i it was just incidental brother raking that i got to preach that day and i just felt like the lord flipped the switch on the inside of me and it was like preaching here at indiana bible college i just said you're gonna have to let me preach to your future for a little

moment you ready you gotta understand that the complexities are not going to stop what god's going to do and there they are and they're like uh okay we're we're trying to carve it out by the kill we're trying to obey the lord and then they get a request from the district brother cantrell that wonderful district superintendent said we got a church up in anderson about an hour and change north of them that that they're uh they need a church there was a uh church up there a terrible situation to happen it blew the church apart and he said can anyone go and then that wonderful man of god who's struggling playing a church in orland says honey we're the closest ones we're already teaching a bible study up there with three people and we're the closest one why don't we just go up there and meet needs the people that you hear me the people that

find the supply of heaven are going to be those that are trying to meet needs in the kingdom then you ready the anointing of god is not to prop you up and to endorse your ministry the anointing and empowerment of god is there two meet needs when you start saying i'm going to give my life to meeting the needs in the body what you'll find is the anointing and the power and the supply of heaven and that and you ready change will be broken can anyone go and we're the closest and brother brother manual second church just to turn it how can they start a second church they're barely working the first one they barely have enough team and and there they are sacrificing and saving and squirreling away every little bit of dollar they can and and they're not even trying to renovate the

building too much because they're just trying to save money to get a little cushion then all of a sudden you got to take the 20 grand you squirreled away and and and invest in another church an hour north the ranking is the mother church even healthy enough to do this not by themselves see i believe the lord is going to take some of you and plant you in the context of ministry and you're going to realize that when the lord grows you to a certain establishment in ministry even that security that you think you finally arrive with it's not for you some of you are going to be sending churches god's going to say you got to go to the next town you got to pick up a dying work and breathe life into it send your best people so that the kingdom can be blessed second church they started looking around because the people up there wanted to

have bible studies and start to meet for worship and they had three church opportunities the first church was way too expensive second one they looked at it was look nice it's just a ranking sold out from underneath them and then that wonderful lady sister manual her super powers kindness she's a she's a gift to the king what an incredible lady i would love to hear her testimony told here one day what the lord brought her through she said brother killman the lord very vulnerable she said to me brother uh turner the lord had to teach me to trust him again because that third building is the weeds were so high you couldn't even see the power box the inside was deteriorated and dilapidated needed so much work and she said i voted against it in the business meeting her husband said honey it's the only option available

you have to take what's available and all of a sudden they start cleaning up one room and hanging drywall because he's a contractor and he begins to fix up this little room we're going to meet in here and we'll work on the sanctuary later how many is coming three five eight maybe more so what do you do you have to quit working on that room start going into the sanctuary they go into the sanctuary because somewhere around 30 people have committed to come and then when they get there sister manual said brother killman we knew about the 30 that were there but unbeknownst to us that church had been owned by another guy who who didn't see everything yet he moved to texas to start another church and a lot of the core people went with him but he already saw the revelation of baptism in jesus name and there

are 30 other people around that area watching that place where they have had church and prayed and praying somebody would come and on their first day they have over 60 people i'm telling you you can't plan wonder but if you'll give yourself to the work if you'll get in the field you'll find the miraculous supply of heaven brother killman how does that work the daughter work paid off the mother works mortgage seven years ahead of schedule the daughter work said to the mother church we got to work and start supporting pastor to get in full time in ministry and then the security comes and what does that great man of god do brother ranking when there's another church that's dying he said we got to sign up for a third church why because the treasure's in the field the supply is for the field i know it's a strange moment but don't be

intimidated god will show up in the middle of complexity with with miraculous power let's apply please be seated i i'm too passionate i need to build today you know what the best kept secret to winning the lost is talking to lost people i'm going to be strong here by the sleeve we're going to have where you at right about me bishop we're going to have good prayer meetings and we need to but you ready you say exposure breeds a burden you need to get out of your prayer closet and start talking to lost people you need to get out of your prayer closet long enough to start reaching and going and getting in the harvest you can pray as much as you want to but you will not reach the loss unless you reach for the loss now i got it i'm going to end positive but i got to preach what the lord told me to preach can are you always going to

preach to each other are you always going to sing to each other are you always going to talk to each other are you always going to sit at calvary tabernacle with each other you're praying god sin revival god saying no the harvest is already there you need to pray to be sent god open a door for me to reach somebody give me an opportunity to teach a bible study send me to the field send me to the field send me to the field what does it look like when you begin to obey the lord it looks like the young i bc freshman a couple years ago that i i mean don't blame brother herbs that 150 question final is me i mean brother ranking i think i'm taking it's pressure it's a pressure tactic for formation because if you can ever say well i teach you the bible study it's got to be easier than that

final can i get a witness young lady said okay i think i can do this all that is designed to do is to get you over your fear she reaches out to her cousin mom and her mom and dad the cousin's mom and dad her aunt and uncle are back slidding and the cousin's not in church can i teach you a bible study make brother kill me the bad guy now it gets to be rather harsh you're welcome but this meme professor and i can get all this 150 question exam you just let me teach you a series of bible studies would you want to know more about god and overview of the bible so that you can understand what you're reading it's very hard for a seeker to say no the harvest is already there well the cousin said no i don't want to do it well then she's working at a coffee shop so she asked one of her barista friends

would you want to do it yeah i would love to do that shocking there are souls all around you so she says okay let's go through the bible study they get about a certain view portion sister eating through the bible study and then she comes back and says can we start the bible study over i went and bought my own bible from goodwill and i want to study it i want to mark up my own bible can we start it over and then the cousin calls out of the blue and says hey when are we going to start that bible study she didn't say you told me no she said uh when do you want to start it all of a sudden the young girl begins to understand and mom and dad are coming back to the church i'm telling you the treasures in the field the miraculous provision will

meet you when you step into the middle of the complexity don't be shocked at the complexity step into your moment with faith she stood right there and she said brother kilman why haven't i been doing this my whole life you will become addicted to you will understand the power of that moment it's like a little girl from seymour we're having we were having a concert on the circle uh brother turner and she said uh brother kilman what are we doing i walked up to her and i said hey i'm going to tell you your assignment today you don't get to talk to anybody save you have to talk to sinners here's some cards pass them out and talk to people she said brother kilman you told me that i was terrified she said the first time i ever spent the night outside of my home is when i came to indiana bible college she said i was absolutely terrified

but i i did what you said woke up and said you know who we are what we're doing here was there something i can pray with you about two questions and she said i met this lady and she had her kids there and and she came to the block party and and we hung out all day and i said can we teach it can i teach you a bible study and she said yes and she said well i'm i'm headed back i'm gonna walk back she said well let me drive you she said brother kilman the drive back to where she was staying took 20 minutes and she walked the calvary with her kids i'm telling you the harvest is already there there is a massive global revival that needs apostolic teachers to more that revival in africa there are hundreds of thousands of people

being baptized in jesus name entire denominations in the philippines are being baptized in jesus name you have empty pulpits pastor text me the other day about the central region of the united pentecostal church he said our growth rate is 4.1 brother kilman growth rates pretty good but when you look at the dying and inactive works it takes it down to 1.6 percent some of you are going to be called to go but unless you start taking things seriously now you will not be able to operate in faith when the opportunity comes what are you saying today brother kilman Babylon is not in charge you need to walk in faith let me let me lift your eyes complexity at the world council of churches they they're trying to unite all the denominations for the ranking around trinitarian baptism because that's the only thing they have in common

you know the problem tens of thousands of people in asia saying we baptizing jesus name the true jesus church is over four million people in china it's the largest oneness church in the world they'll come to the music in brazil there was an influential catholic priest who wrote a letter to the pope he said i saw the outpourings of the spirit and the healings and the pentecostal revival and said that's what i joined the catholic church to find and i couldn't find it so i got baptized in jesus name and received the holy grace it says there hear me don't let the complexities of the times make you get your focus on the wrong thing god's in charge of everything that's no weapon nothing the enemy has can stop what god wants to do every 18 seconds the person is baptized in jesus name you have to say god what are you doing in this strange moment

and here's what i felt to try to challenge you with the temptation is to know more about what anna christ is doing than what christ is doing the context of your ministry the climate of the day is god's opportunity not his obstacle stay with him in the context of our day is strange i know but god is using it for revival many of you are in a holiness right now it's easy to preach distinction it's easier than ever to teach distinction god is using it for revival what's my challenge brother killman embrace the complexity trust the lord what will you do in this moment will you be a part of the harvester will you be arrested by fear and apprehension you got to embrace your commission by stepping into your now someone in this room will find his supply by stepping into his field the wonder will be seen in the work the supply of heaven will meet the demands of the day

i'm gonna go ahead and warn you you will get shut down you will get hurt you'll teach a bible study you'll be desperate for them to receive the holy ghost and some will not they'll walk away you'll get disappointed but you will also see soul saved and you'll find the sustainability for your ministry i'm trying to close the day what does that look like somebody will teach that bible study somebody will talk to sinners in the next two days and not just their friends and i felt i felt the challenge from the lord somebody will quit hiding behind a microphone and they will find the supply of it johnny where are you you'll get brave enough to talk to a guy at work and what you don't know it's a backslidden calvary tabernacle boy who's a bible quiz and some i bc students stepping into his call

is going to be the answer to some mother's prayer somebody's prayer some sister's prayer somebody that's praying for their brother katie sister russa where are you somebody's going to be brave enough to say something to a co-worker that's really complex and maybe even individuals we don't think will be open to a bible study say yes i i i'm going to close with this one i was in green castle indiana and we were doing a sneak a preach at the end of a concert because we're going to get him any way we can we had this outreach to the paul university and had all and we did well they they blanketed the school everything we we did everything we could and we need to do that brother ranking in terms of structure we need to but just circumstances things beyond our control we didn't know that they're on the calendar was this other major event

and so the turnout just got tanked it was huh brother jones that great man that was pastoring there was a little heartbroken and and i said well we're going to focus on the people in the room and we'll just we'll just have revival we'll do what the lord's called us to do with the people in the room and i remember i i got done with my little sneak a preach five minute deal at the end and made a call lady came forward and i went down as a ivc student just began to pray with her in less than five minutes she was speaking in tongues turns out she was a backslider and god gave me one of the greatest promises he's ever spoke to me in my life he said to me in that moment i will give you souls for your lady so i'm asking somebody right

now to say lord if there is a promise of your supply i'm going to commit to going into the field i'm going to ask you i know it's easier to hide in the choir it's easier to get up and preach a sermon in chapel than teach a bible study it's easier to talk to your friends instead of looking around at calvary tabernacle and saying is there a visitor i could sit with tonight is there a hungry soul brother kilman i don't know how to do all of that yet what you're going to find brother carcid is when you go on the mission field and the lord helps you in that bible college you're going to find the same function that i feel in the classroom why because his supply is for his work come on commit to the work commit to the work and you'll find the supply
