We are at that point in the semester, hallelujah. I want to turn your attention to the word of the Lord really quickly. We'll go to 1 Timothy chapter four. While you're turning there, let me do what is right. If wherever you preachers preach, wherever you teachers teach, you need to make sure you say thank you because every time you step in a pulpit, it is on borrowed influence. 1 Timothy chapter four, verse 16. I want to preach to you students today. Apostle says to his son in the gospel, take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine. Continuing them for in doing this, thou shalt both save thyself and then that hear thee. And I love each of you today. I'm going to preach to you today as if my son was in the room one more time. Could you put that slide up? I want to preach today when God gives up. I'm going to talk out of my heart today. I wanted to talk about Nehemiah and the six things the enemy's going to try to do to sabotage you and how God's going to give you a victory to build the wall and do the work of the kingdom. But I have a Lord and he wasn't impressed with that sermon. Maybe we'll tuck it away and do it another time, but I want to share something a little more difficult out of my heart. Would you let me pray for you? Would you bow your heads, God? Every year, Lord, seniors walk out of here. Every year, Lord, there are students that are called to other things and they don't return. And I pray you would help me, Lord, to share out of my heart today that I could equip somebody, Lord, through your word, Lord, the revelation that you give to prepare us for that road ahead, Lord, help us to walk in full of confidence in you, Lord, not in ourself, but that through you we can do all things. We'll be careful to thank you to give you the praise in Jesus' name. Amen, God bless you, may be seated. I happen to take this picture. A few years ago, we were with some wonderful friends in California and my son is, and I are walking away from the ocean into the Redwood Forest up by Fern Canyon. I happened to snap this picture and as I was going through the pictures, I love memories and I was looking at this picture and I'll give you some advice. Nobody wants to see the pictures of the mountains really, but they're beautiful, but it's better to be there. But capturing moments where people are there with you, now that's worth going back and looking at. And so I happened to capture my son just because I want memories of us in beautiful places together and the Lord just impressed on me to take advantage of the last two years you have with him because Brother Henderson, he's walking away. He's walking away. So I had to plan intentionally and fight schedules and mess with things to make sure that we had moments together. And I knew that I had a short window of time before he would launch out and I don't want a failure to launch. I want him to do well and I want him to be in Illinois and I want him to be home. Empty Nest is a real deal and he just talked to me on the way back from my home this morning and I love him very much. We talk every day either by text, voice memo or phone call or in person. We talk every day, it's a beautiful thing. I'm trying to maybe hesitate to get into my sermon because I'm a little uncomfortable. There are two walls of defense that God says that he's placed around the church. He says to Timothy, Paul does and speaking through the inspiration of the spirit of God that there are two walls of defense around the church. The first is the teaching, the preaching, the declaration of the word of God, doctrine. You need to teach doctrine. It is a fence. It is a defense. It is a protection around the church. He says to take heed unto the doctrine. The apostle also was inspired to say to Timothy, take heed unto thyself. So the second defense around the church is strong godly leaders. And I want to share with you an uncomfortable but necessary truth that you will need as you walk into the work of the Lord. Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 521, prove all things. Hold fast that which is good. He says in chapter two verse four of the same epistle but we are as we are rather allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel. You have been allowed by God, you've been put in trust, you've been placed into the ministry, something sacred and beautiful and powerful and world shaking has been entrusted into your hands. Even so we speak, the apostle says, not as pleasing men but God. Now there's an issue. We gotta please God, not men. Why, because God tryeth our hearts and that word tryeth is the same word where it says prove all things. That Greek word prove means to try to test, to examine, to prove, to scrutinize, to see whether or not a thing is genuine or fake or is it real? It's like looking at metal and saying, is this the real thing or is this fool's goat? What the God is saying is I'm gonna try your heart to see if you really wanna be in ministry. Some of you are saying I feel like I'm being put through the fire. I understand God is going to try your heart to see if you're really just interested in platforms and opportunity or do you wanna really have revival? Do you really wanna see souls brought into the kingdom? Do you really wanna see God change people's lives? So he tries, he examines, he works with our heart and the same is true when the Lord turns around and says to us, you need to prove all things. You need to test. There is a duty to scrutinize, to see if it's genuine. Is it real or is it not? Is it, and I wish there was a way around it. I looked, Brother Zuniga, I know you're into the language a little bit. I looked in the Greek and I was like, is there any wiggle room that I can find in the Greek language? No, it's puntata and that means all things. It means prove everything, everything in life, everything in your ministry, everything in your motives, everything in your leadership, everything in church life, everything in church ministry, everything in church motives, everything in church leadership has to be tested. Why? Why this duty, this duty, this call, this command? It's a present active imperative in the Greek. It means right now you need to be testing. You need to be proving all things because God says through his apostle to his son in the gospel again, for the time will come, this is why you have this duty, this call to, this command, Timothy, you're going to be in ministry and what you need to know is the time will come where they will not endure sound doctrine. You need to brace yourself for the reality of ministry. You need to know that not everyone is gonna be interested in hearing the truth. I wish I had something prettier to preach today but I just need to prepare you. Some people are not gonna wanna hear the gospel. Some people are not gonna wanna hear apostolic doctrine and you have to decide I'm gonna prove hearts. I'm gonna test hearts and if your spirit's wrong, it's not gonna silence my sermon. For the time will come, we are not smarter than the Bible. When they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lust. They'll heep to themselves, teachers having itching ears. You can hear anything you want. You can pay somebody to come in and sing anything you want, preach anything you want, teach anything you want but out of their own lust they're going to heap these things so how, how does this occur brother Kilman? When there's so much teaching and preaching and singing and praying and here's one of your temptations you're gonna think, did I not do enough? When they walk away from the truth, if they had a better teacher or a better mentor, better preacher or a better pastor than me, maybe somebody else could have saved them if I prayed more, if I fasted more, if I loved just a little bit more, if I went on one more visitation, I'm gonna help you today. You gotta release yourself from false guilt. Some people will not hear the truth. That's why Paul says in 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 10 and 11 with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish because they receive not the love of the truth that they might be saved and for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie. Now what does that mean? You gotta brace yourself for the reality of ministry or you will set yourself up for failure through false expectations. I can lead you to Jesus, but I cannot be Jesus. You can be their minister, but you cannot be their savior. You can and you must love and reach and go and do, but remember not even God violates free will. He doesn't own people's bad decisions and you cannot either, I get it. You can help carry burdens, but every once in a while, you're gonna have to cast your cares on the Lord. You're gonna have to say, Jesus, I've carried this person long enough. I've carried this, I tried to save him. I tried to change their mind. Can I help you? If they won't listen to God, they're not gonna listen to you. Don't own something that's not yours to own. I wish I had something easier to say. How do people fail, brother Kilman? How do they fail the savior? How do they fail the moving of God's spirit, the power of the word, the love that's in the church with all of the issues? The fact that we have so many gifts available to us from God, the manifold, the many faceted grace of God, so evident through all of these things. And I agree that maybe there could be better things in church, but I also agree with the campus pastor who preached last week, the ark is not your problem. Can I just remind you it's better in the stink than in the storm? Yes, there's animals. Yes, there's attitude, but you're in the ark of safety. There's a danger. Psychologists have come up with the term now, it's called cognitive dissonance. I think scripture talks about that when you get to the end where you deny that cognitive dissonance and you begin to resist it. Scripture calls this strong delusion. Now what does that mean, brother Kilman? In psychological terms, it means when discomfort is experienced, because a person holds conflicting beliefs or conflicting values or conflicting behaviors which motivate them to reduce their inconsistency. I say one thing, there's a pressure between what I say and what I do between what I profess and what I live, what I say I value and yet what I desire, what I sing and what my actions are, what I preach and what I practice, what I say on Sunday, but what I live on Monday, when that doesn't match, I realize, I get the temptation to think, well, maybe I can't live it. You can override the conviction of God and the cognitive dissonance to the point where you harden your conscience again and again and again to all of a sudden strong delusion comes. You change your message to fit your desires instead of what the word requires and you change the doctrine that you preach to match your practice instead of what the Lord is calling you up to. I don't wanna go that high. I wanna hang on to something low and the beggarly elements of the world and I wanna stay in my captivity because I love my bondage and God's saying if you want it, I'll give you up. Now I know who I'm preaching to. You can override this and it gets easier over time and every time we turn from the acknowledging of the truth, it's a hardening of the conscience against God. I'll give you an example. There's a man, his name is, he's a philosopher named John Searle. He's a materialist and atheist but even he admits I cannot live my atheism out. He believes that the universe is nothing more than like a big machine and there's no designer, it just kinda operates and human beings are like cogs in the machine and we don't even really have things like free will. You just do things because of these animalistic urges on the inside of you and that's determinism. You can't really change because you are a machine. But then Searle said, we can say, okay, I believe in determinism and not free will but the conviction of freedom is built into our experiences and listen to his language, we can't just give it up. If we tried to, we couldn't live with it. Searle is trapped in strong delusion. Cognitive dissonance, what he says he believes doesn't match what he wants to live in his life and what's the problem because the heart wants sin and the flesh desires sin and carnality wants to reject laws and in pride man rejects God because of the law giver and God can allow this to happen. If you want it, he'll turn you over. The human capacity to do this is real. You cannot choose for other people. I'm trying to help somebody today. You cannot choose for other people. The only thing you can do is take heed unto thyself and take heed unto the doctrine and you know what will happen? You will save yourself, Timothy and everybody that hears you. Listen, some people don't want the truth but somebody wants the truth. Get up out of that state and say, I'm gonna go forward and believe God. You're gonna have to decide for yourself. You cannot decide for others. You have to say me and my little ministry, me and my little family, me and my wife and that boy, we're gonna do what we know to do. Prove all things and hope best to that which is good. I'll try to hurry. If you watch me on the time, there's your thank you. There are consequences when we refuse to acknowledge God. Eventually God gives us up and to reject God, this is what man has to do. If you reject God, you have to reject the exaltation of man as a creature created in the image of God. And humanity becomes the definer of all things and it seems freeing in the initial stages but it reduces worth. It reduces human dignity. It reduces human rights, can I go further? It reduces the potential of holiness and separation and the life of a believer because you no longer value what God values. You only value what you value and you exalt humanity and you dethrone God but when you lower God, you lower man, there are no human rights. That's why the worst track record of human atrocities in history is in materialism and atheism. Not even Islam is close to lower God is to lower creation and lose all of our values. Sin has its own consequences. God gives up people to their desires. You love sin and worship sin and want to serve sin and not the creator, I will turn you over to sin. God gives up generations that are comfortable in their complacency and disobedience and lack of faith and they stay in a wilderness. The purpose of this sermon today, my challenge, I think as Brother Carson would say, my assignment from the Lord is I want you to be able to deal with all of the reality of the world and ministry in your life. The call of God is for you to resist the desires of the flesh, which means you can resist strong delusion. How do I do that, Brother Kilman? I'm gonna say it again, verse Thessalonians 521, prove all things, test, see, does it align? Put it up against this mirror of the word of God. Is it all from this? If it's all from this, you gotta discern. You gotta try, you gotta expose. You gotta say, I cannot be aligned with that. I gotta prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. When people try to lead you away from holiness, you hold fast to that which is good. When someone tries to take you away from the upper room, you hold fast to that which is good. I have to check in my own heart before the Lord at times, God, am I holding two contradictory things in my mind or in my heart? Are my desires blinding me from the truth I already know? Can I be planer, the truth that's already revealed? Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10, 3-5, though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down what? Now this is what he means by not walking in the flesh. Don't tell me just you better define what the apostles talking about. No, we're not fighting people, but we are fighting the ideas that people are postulating that will lead us into bondage. If you're trying to lead me away from the book, I've identified the lie of the enemy. I gotta cast down that imagination. And every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. That's what spiritual warfare is. What does that mean, Brother Kilman? Imaginations. That Greek word means a reasoning, such as his hostile to the Christian faith. Ideas that compete with truth. Listen, I know right now you could go into your life and find people that are preaching things contrary to this book. You can't save everybody, change everybody, rescue everybody. Some people you have to separate from. You have to get you and your little family in a good place where your ministry will be profitable. What are you gonna give the next 10 years of your life to? Try not to be too strong. I gotta be as strong as the Lord wants me. What do you mean by, Brother Kilman? Anything, everything. All things, all high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Imaginations. We might be more familiar in our day with the term ideologies. Which is, I'm not talking about the social Marxist definition. Theodore Letis has got a great dissertation called From Sacred Text to Religious Text. Which the definition of ideologies is worth the introduction of that wonderful dissertation. You can get it online for free. From Sacred Text to Religious Text. And he talks about the process of moving the study of the Bible away from a God honoring sacred thing to desacralization. You approach it as a human person and a human book and with human methods. You can't do that with the word of God. You ready? Does this book judge your thoughts or do you use your thoughts to judge this book? You gotta make sure that your pre-commitments are not clouding the truth because if you don't realize the truth every time God confronts that lie, if you turn your back on God, he can turn you over to the lie and you can end up preaching things and dismantling this text and walking away from the truth. Why? Because you didn't receive a love of the truth. You love the lie. And he turns this over to strong delusion. And all of these things, these abstract speculations, these body of ideas, this way of thinking, form the basis of behaviors and actions and methods and approaches. And all these terms speak to this concept and it's a very powerful driving force, Lita says. And it's also a powerful deceiver. What does that mean? I'm gonna try to hurry. Imaginations and ideologies and ideas create values. They promote behaviors. They form habits. They determine the pathway of our life. They end up in a destination and a destiny. I try to say that in every youth camp I can. What does that mean, Brother Kilmer? These presuppositions, these thoughts, these imaginations, these pre-commitments that you bring to the Bible. You ready? That you bring to your prayer meeting. They can be thought out or they can be uncritically embraced. They can be deliberate or the herpes are they can be embedded. They can guide us to blessing or they can lead us to cursing. They can guide us to life or they can guide us to death. Now what does that mean? The call of God is clear in the face of that reality. How do I deal with that, Brother Kilmer? One more time. Prove all things. Hold fast. That which is good. Now I'm gonna, first false close. I'm gonna try to land. There's a unique moment in history, Brother Frank. I love history. It inspires me because I study history because human anthropology is the same. And the constants that govern our world and existence are absolutely the same at all times. And sometimes in studying history we can see things more honestly than we will wanna admit when we deal with the Bible because it's so sacred we sometimes miss stuff because we don't wanna talk about the human side of the book of Acts or something like that. But there's this beautiful moment in history where I say beautiful. It's actually a horrendous moment but it's beautiful in terms of insight where Joseph Stalin was treated as an idol by many politicians, leaders and philosophers. And so I was listening to a great podcast and I love podcasts because they inspired me to find great books. There was a question that, it's like why did one British historian named Robert Conquest? How is it that Robert Conquest could see what an entire academic generation and an entire class of media establishment and political establishment refused to acknowledge? He wrote in 1968 this great little book called The Great Terror. And he lays out the evidence in this book that Joseph Stalin had killed slaying millions. This is before 1973 when Alexander Solzhenitsyn would produce that incredible work called the Gulag acapelligo. And in it we see that through civilization purges and through imposed famines and the Gulags, Russia killed 18 million people. Now I wish we had time to deal with all the details. I'll try to hurry. They passed through those labor camps and in the labor camps alone 1.6 million died. And Robert Conquest's work was dismissed and seen by the world as heretical historical doctrine. The question is this, how could brilliant academics in the West and even trained journalists defend one of history's most brutal killers? And the facts are pretty straightforward. It looks like it was their desires. It was the intellectual climate of the West. They were emotionally and idealistically invested in the humanist propaganda. They were invested in the human project of self-determination. We're gonna create a utopia through man-made effort. They wanted to divest themselves of revelation in this book and the beliefs and the commitments of the West and instead they wanted progress. They wanted and desired and longed for the Soviet experiment to work because if the Soviet experiment works then we can dismiss this book and we can all do whatever we want. Even British intellectuals like George Bernard Shaw toured Moscow. He returned and said, I have seen the future. So vested in human utopianism that they even tried to sanitize the reality of Russia. Strong delusion. They looked at the entire acts of genocide and they had to hide or ignore any conflict around real data. Any time you have to hide from real data. Any time you have to use your brain or arguments to hide from the real statements of this book, you're already in trouble. Strong delusion. I'll give you one example. The genocide of the Ukrainians. We're in a complex moment. I hope you know history. Or the war crimes against the Poles in World War II or the police state of the 1930s onward. They were so invested, these ideologues wouldn't hear and wouldn't see what was going on in Russia. No matter how many facts conquest pointed out. What does that mean, Brother Kilman? It means strong delusion. The commitment, the commitment stopped them, but you ready? Robert conquest's commitment made him look at the truth. He refused to look away. And I don't know about you. When I look at the devastation in the world. When I look at the complexities around even the separation of the sexes. I refuse to look away. I know it's easier not to talk about, teach about. I know it's easier not to preach about. But I'm going to tell you we need preachers that say I refuse to look away at the real issues of the world. I refuse to look away from the devastation in the lives of young people. I am going to be a preacher and a declare of truth. Please be seated. I really am trying to close. Soviet census data had gaps so large that it couldn't be mathematical errors or an immigration issue where people are just leaving and they couldn't explain it. Millions had simply disappeared from off the official records and it's calculated that Stalin killed somewhere between 13 and 18 million people between 1930 and 1953. Another example. The harvest of sorrows that I mentioned. The Ukrainian famine of 1932. This was deliberately engineered famine. The things that are going wrong in our society have a spirit behind them and people are engineering them. I'm going to help you. You don't get to choose your enemies. You already have them. Instead of natural disaster or some type of bureaucratic accident or mistake, Soviet officials seize grain at gunpoint, ban travel from affected regions and denied international aid in terms of food. Conquest says people were left to starve while grain sat in warehouses or was exported to grow the government foreign currency reserves. So they're more interested in making money than helping people. That's why the only reason that we're having some people get off the bandwagon of transgendered surgeries that will get kicked off Facebook probably. I apologize. But the reason people are saying we're going to no longer back transgendered surgeries among young kids is because they're worried about being sued now. Now they're not making money off the mutilation of young people and the abuse of young people. Now we're going to lose money so we're going to lose our investment. We better stop it. I'm just going to tell you that's strong delusion. Academics said well no really conquest is wrong. Maybe two or three million people died and it was an unfortunate policy mistake rather than deliberate acts of mass murder and genocide. Strong delusion. Conquest demonstrated factually that seven million people died in just two years in Ukraine alone. But the academics the intellectual world denial was swift. Well so we had officials they said no no that's not happened. They denied it outright. We didn't do any of that. There's no way that many people have died and then journalists in the west helped them by repeating the lies. I'll give you an example. New York Times, Moscow correspondent Walter Duranty absolute denial castigated in public Robert Conquest and he dismissed the notion of the famine as an exaggeration of deliberate propaganda and afterwards he was given a Pulitzer Prize in 1932 for his Soviet coverage. Can I help you? I don't care who praises you for your lies or conclusion. There is a day of reckoning coming. I don't care what acceptance you get in the short term because you give up holiness. Divorce is coming in that church. You're tearing down the walls of defense when it starts ripping through your young people with fornication. That's on you for denying the reality. Brother Kilman, I'm in Indiana Bible College. I'm committed. I know but what I want you to do is when you walk out of here senior and you start filling the pressure of voices telling you if we just give this up we could grow more I'm going to tell you what you need to say is ask for me in my house. No, no, no, no, we're going to serve the Lord. I'm going to stay right here. I'm going to preach the truth. I'm going to hold fast to the good. Now I don't know about you but when I heard this I thought that's just shocking. Brother Turner, it's just shocking. How could people do this? This fact in history, this fact of brother ranking human anthropology, the fact that human beings could so deceive themselves. That potential is real. How does that happen? What is the problem? Here's the problem. They said if we admit Robert Conquest is right then the defining progressive project of the 20th century and me as a supporter in the West have colluded to defend mass murder. Lead institutions have praised the system that killed millions. To quote Marx, useful idiots have provided a cover for industrialized size genocide. It's hard. How do you see that? How do you return from that? How do you admit some things? But if you turn away it's just strong delusion. It couldn't admit what they've done. It's too horrible to see so I want to look away and what did they do? They silenced Robert Conquest for years. Truth can be ignored for a time. That's where I come to preach today. Reality can be denied for a time. Nature can be denied for a time but it's going to come back. It's one of our founding fathers said with a vengeance. Because the Soviet Union collapses and the NKVD that's not a new translation. If you translate the Russian into English it's the People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs. All of their operation the archives were open and the execution lists were seen and the deportion to the gulags was found and the force famine reports by the government was visible and the mortality data was uncovered. And everything Robert Conquest said for decades was confirmed to be true. Henderson, some of it was even greater than he thought because all he had was limited data but what he could see was bad enough. Can I help you sin is already bad enough? We don't need preachers colluding with sin. We don't need preachers compromising with sin. We need pulpits that will call people out of the bondage. We got to tell them I know what you think will bless people but we got to agree with the Word of God. This moment is more than a truth speaking historian being vindicated as important as that is. It exposes something. Something deeper brother Aiden. It exposes how group think works. How academic consensus works. What happens when an ideology or a pre-commitment or innate value takes over an institution. I tell you what will happen it'll take over pulpits. The desire for sin can be so strong to reject God. He gives us up. The strong delusion. Bested interest that blinds us to truth and the voice of God and the preaching I often am shocked at like how many people could hear brother Josh Carson my pastor Josh Carson preach so strong and walk out of here with cognitive dissonance and never change. Robert Conquest was not ignored because he was wrong. He was ignored because his claims threatened a desired system. A system where powerful people had staked their futures on it. That human utopia away from God and away from restrictions and morality and truth and preaching. It's like churches that want to have church without holiness or essentiality or separation or theological depth. They want to redefine and want progress and change and move past old archaic positions brother Kilman. But brother Kilman they seem so sincere. They really believe it. I know they're turned over to strong delusion. I wish I could bring example after example into this room. I'm going to say it one more time. Hear me. Some voices you need to understand the conviction is so strong is because they believe strong delusion. How long does it take before people will reverse their course? Brother Rankin, I look at people and I think how many divorces? How many homes that are wrecked? How many backslidden kids does it take? How many deaths does it take? When will the reality of the pigpen cause somebody to lift up their eyes and say even slaves, even servants, even the lowest person in my father's health has it better than me? I remember brother Mooney telling me about a backslidden preacher one of our greatest preachers in the United Pentecostal church. He called him and he said to brother Mooney none of my kids or grandkids are in church. Brother Mooney they don't go to any kind of church. I wish I had never left. I won't give you his name because I'm praying brother Rankin. I just wanted to tell him come home. Come home. The answer to strong delusion is to resist. The issue of backsliding is not that God can't save you. You just harden yourself in unbelief and what they need is a pull pin strong enough to just say you can always come home. We'll run out and meet you and bring you back into the fold. Please come and play the music. I know I'm going to be in trouble. The call of God for your future for you and your ministry and your world the answer to the dilemma is again prove, prove, test, look at, consider. Is this real? Can I help you? Is this a real opportunity? Is this somebody that really believes? Is this really the truth about my life and what I should believe and act and think and do? Prove all things. Then you need to hold fast to that which is good. What if I admit progressivism does not help the church? What if I see that drinking and pornication and the excesses of the flesh destroys lives and not helps them? What if I see there's no help outside of this Acts 2.38 message? The cost is real. I have so much time and money and relationships and degrees and study and invested in this. I have relationships and acceptance and prestige and reputation. If I reverse myself now in the pulpit will the people that I've led halfway down this backslidden road go with me? I don't care. Save yourself and them that hear you. We're not that kind of person. I don't want you to ever be that kind of person. We're going to close with Romans 1. I'll do this quickly. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and righteousness of men. It's revealed. Who hold the truth and unrighteousness because they because that which may be known of God is manifesting them in them, in them, in them in their conscience and their moral code. If you're okay, why do you need me to justify you? If you're okay, why are you trying to silence Robert Conquest for God that showed it under them? All people everywhere at all times have access to the revelation of God's existence. I wish we had time, the physical nature and the human nature give evidence of our Creator. If the strength of gravity was smaller or greater than one part by 10 to the 60th power, I have to be careful because a math teacher is going to hear me later. That's a one with 60 zeros after it. If it was just all that much the universe would be uninhabitable for human beings. Verse 20 for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made even His eternal power in God hit. So that hear me, set your ministry free from manipulation and false guilt they are without excuse. But Brother Kilman of general revelation and pinches and presses and affects and drives people so much to acknowledge God why don't all people acknowledge God because they hold down they hold in, they suppress the truth because that when they knew God they glorified Him not as God neither were they thankful but became vain and their imaginations and their foolish heart was dark and professing themselves to be wise they became fools professing themselves to be wise they became fools changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made into like to corruptible men the birds and poor-footed beasts and creeping things and they're willing to acknowledge this pantheist pull this God consciousness I'm religious but not spiritual I'm a non why because if I acknowledge a personal God then He will know me and want a relationship with me then He's going to want to tell me things the result is this phenomenon of permission this pantheon of permission in the Greek Gods where man creates idols forgive me I want to be strong enough for you to understand the reality of some things they create idols to hide from God man creates idols to replace God and man creates idols to silence God and soothe his conscience like being almost Christian and half-worldly instead of being apostolic where the battle of steros says they're half apostolic to quote the apostle they have a form of godliness but not in either power they're seniors particularly hear me where for I don't know if you highlight in your bible but here's a good thing to highlight where for God also gave them what to give them up to brother Kilman what they want to uncleanness through the lust of their own hearts to dishonor their own bodies between themselves who change the truth of God into a lie and worship and serve the creature more than the creator that's why they don't want holiness anymore who is blessed forever amen for this cause I don't know if you highlight in your bible but I would highlight this in my bible God gave them up to vile affections for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature and likewise also men leaving the natural use of a woman burned in their lusts one toward another men working that which is unseemly and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which is meat even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge I don't want God why because God comes with rules God gave them over to irrepubate mind to do those things which are not convenient three times God gave them up what the bible is teaching us is rebellion has its own built in consequences God gives them over to their desire strong delusion I need to quit being filled with all unrighteousness fornication wickedness covetous malicious you look through the list there are all the things right there that compete with God who knowing the judgment of God they already know it's wrong not an issue of your bad preaching that they which commit such things are worthy of death they not only do the same but have pleasure can I can I I'm gonna get two minutes there are strange admissions in our culture this is a book by Helen Joyce interesting to me she's a Cambridge trained London University a PhD a feminist journalist it would be a shame for her to understand more about human anthropology than you there's these wild admissions in the culture and the courage of unbelievers to see clearly and to say clearly sometimes things that we won't say she said in an interview this great little book called trans when ideology meets reality she's talking to a guy she says another thing you may not have thought of is there a lot of people who can't go on from this it is and she said it is the people who've transitioned their own children so that those people are going to be like she says these Japanese soldier who is on the Pacific islands and they don't know the war was over they've got to fight forever because they don't know they've already lost the battle she says this is another reason why this is the worst social contagion that we've ever experienced a lot of people have done the worst thing that you could do which is to harm your children irrevocably those people will have to believe that they did the right thing for the rest of their lives for their own sanity and for their own self-respect she says so they'll be fighting and each one of those people destroy entire organizations her word not mine can i help you if you change your doctor and go start your own organization if you're not willing to sign the affirmation of the faith of the organization that you belong to you go start your own don't steal a church or try to change this one don't be a liar you take you take your belief system and you believe that lie and you lead those people somewhere else entire friendship group she says are destroyed and now you can't talk truth in front of that person you know you can't because what you are saying is you as a parent have done a truly human rights abusive thing an awful thing to your child that cannot be fixed and she said something that just was so startling to me that i captured it and now you're the recipient of it forgive me for trying to do what i feel like the Lord wants me to do she said there are specific individuals who are rarely really rather actively against women's rights here and it's not known why? why would you let a guy get in a room and punch a woman up why would you let a man who has 15% more upper body strength compete with women in certain sports they cannot win don't believe me go look up all the data i hope you don't turn your eyes away from data turn off tiktok long enough to get at least a feminist perspective on what the truth is trying to behave that was probably a little extra pray for me bishop what is she saying it's not known why why are you into destroying everything that we fought for for human rights or for civil rights for women or for women's rights at least to get their own sports but i happen to know through back channels it's because they trans their kid so those people will do anything for the entire rest of their life to destroy me she says or people like me because people like me are a standing reproach to them buckle up some people will not ever acknowledge your right no matter how much you show them in the scripture because they can't because they've committed so many acts of sin they've hardened their conscience away from God don't be intimidated by those people i'm landing so for those people she says they're going to be fighting and keep this movement going i'm sorry to say because they have everything to lose everything to lose stand with me now here's a pointed application thank god brother we're going to have another chapel staff members are going to rescue us send us off on a positive note i get the challenge if you yield the moment of controversy you surrender the pulpit discomfort is not the enemy wrong ideas wrong behaviors lies the fallout of sin that's the enemy never be intimidated one of my heroes thomas soul said if you want to help people you tell them the truth when you want to help yourself you tell them what they want to hear do you want to just a big crowd or do you want to actually help people do you want to have an impact do you want to save marriages then you got to look a man in the eye and talk to him like a man and say there are truths for you to embrace there are stronger things for you to live out there is power to walk in the spirit there is direction from god that will lead you from glory to glory and if they don't want to hear it shake your dust off the feet of your and go on to the next town somebody will want to bible study somebody will want the truth somebody will want to come alongside and embrace what god wants them to be and if you could silence all the opposition that wouldn't change the pain wouldn't change the consequences of sin and it wouldn't change eternal reality we just wouldn't talk about it silence isn't protection I wish I didn't have to say this today silence isn't protection silence is permission silence is consent look at Ezekiel silent is collusion don't be blinded by the desires that you have for sin why? god may just give you up to more than that take heed unto thyself that's what I'm saying first you got to say in your own heart I know this is a consecration message but you got to say god is there any duplicitous desire inside of me that will cause me to equivocate my voice in the pulpit somewhere will it cause me to sing some things and not other things will it cause me to teach some things and not other things they'll get that through osmosis I just don't teach that at my church I just don't preach on some things at my church silence in the pulpit is consent take heed unto thyself every once in a while you got to stand in the pulpit and preach your conscience clean I'm not talking about being mean and ugly people that like to slash on people are psychopaths but faithful are the wounds of a friend they need a preacher that loves them enough to tell them the truth to save their family to save their marriage to save their souls from hell the bible says hell has enlarged itself hell is not full yet we got to love them enough to tell them the truth take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine and then here's my hope continue in them for in doing this there's a promise from the lord and I want to talk to you seniors just for a moment thou shalt most save thyself and then that boy was leaving I just got to remind him one more time the only thing that will save them is this book cast down imaginations do you bow your heads with me here's the truth God gives up he gives up people to the things they desire more than him you need to save yourself that's why every sermon here is about confronting your heart you got to save yourself from this untoward generation your parents can't do it for you your pastor can't do it for you your roommate can't do it for you your dean can't do it for you your mentor can't do it for you you have to save yourself let's just pause there for a moment it's just Reagan wherever you are I couldn't have asked for a better set because when we start talking about he has good plans for me that's God saying to Israel I'm going to take you to Babylon and you're going to catch a whoopin I didn't know when I was a kid I was chasing whoopins but I caught them everyone I don't know how I caught so many if I had known I was chasing them I probably would have stopped how many of you have ever been corrected by the Lord his plans are good for you even if it's putting you in captivity for you to learn a lesson he can park you but that's not meant to destroy you that's meant to save you and shape you they are good plans it's just a Reagan wherever you are that's why we say I surrender all because I'm one more time if there's anything in my heart any competing affection oh I'm trying to move on any relationship any opportunity really coming to sound so familiar yeah it's like it's basic to human desire you need to say I got to save myself in this false desire and then number two I want to encourage you never be intimidated to preach what God gives you because someone will hear and you're going to say somebody's going to be because God used you to preach this herb somebody's family is going to be rescued and saved because you're saying something somewhere so long that it forms something in their heart and they begin to reach in the spirit and surrender and believe you taught that bible study you explained that truth and all of a sudden people see the hope of what God could do through their life they see in the spirit the potential for new life I'm calling you to a commitment give me one second seniors I'm going to ask you first to commit I'm going to save myself I'm going to take heed to myself to the doctor I want to call you to commit to America I got to preach the truth I got to tell that boy you're over there in Marshall Illinois and over your head and you're going to be in over your head you're not going to know how to deal with the complexities and you're not going to be able to fix everything because you're not the savior but what you can do is take heed to yourself you can say my motives are going to be pure my heart's going to be pure every time I stand behind this sacred desk I'm going to make sure I'm practicing what I'm preaching I'm not just performing and then the doctor isn't that would you do that would you commit God I'm going to live a life of commitment well that's it I'm going to live a life of commitment I'm never going to be intimidated I'm not going to be disillusioned when I get people saying if you keep preaching this I'm taking my ties and leaving God bless you I wish you wouldn't do that I don't want you to be lost but I can't save everybody I'm just responsible for myself and to preach the doctor and that's what I take heed to not the voices of people trying to pull me away from the truth
