refreshed or with the stammering lips and another tongue said I will speak to these people whom he said this is the rest wherewith you may cause the weary to rest that this is the refreshing ah you may be seated hallelujah so honored to be a part of this 2000 because of the time I feel very insignificant toh brother Mangan when he called I'm not in that particular kind of league whatever that is but I have been changed in this meeting I really have been changed not just stirred but my whole outlook is changed I really mean that I'm not going to leave here as I came praise God God did something for me and the service the other day that I will never never forget from the first night Tuesday night through each succeeding message song chorus worship it has penetrated me from the outer to the inner as I know it has all of you praise God so tonight knowing there is another speaker I've asked him not to give me a name this year I've met it everywhere that I've gone mr. clean yay certainly my honor and respect to buy the Williams our sister gym superintendent by the tinnie district superintendent of this great district the man goons synonymous with prayer and fasting when you think of the word or the name man and you think of prayer we followed their pattern in our own pastoring and we had prayer meetings through the years not not in the measure that they've done but it was our only hope and it is still our only hope thank God for world network of Prayer and such at any doing a tremendous job I've been privileged to sit by brother Billy Cole and it's an experience there's something about him that just rubs off on you praise God spiritually I mean how about earlier spiritually praise God hallelujah the great choir the musicians and so I must I must get started however I've been preaching on harvest time so long and till a 12-minute message means condensing and making every word count well I'll take a little more time than that tonight praise God I've enjoyed so much being a part of the United Pentecostal church still the dearest thing to me and what it stands for when I think on my past and brother Jeff Arnold just mentioned as we communicated there together about how far we've come he went back to the days of my accordion playing and you know evangelizing I said I can go back further than that I can go back to the time when I couldn't even testify and if you didn't testify you were thought to be back slid and so it was every night every night and so I had to memorize my testimony and here's what it was if you need one to be to be memorized the Lord had done great things for me wherever I'm glad and I would sit down but even with the inability to testify I begged God to call me to preach I did not fight the call I lay on the floor and I begged him to call me into the ministry I had other other avenues but I have never regretted the day he called me to preach now tonight before I even read a text you know the Apostle Paul in the book of Acts told his experience on the road to Damascus three times in a book that could have been filled with many many great stories of great miracles and there was not a lot of room in that book but three times he reiterated his experience on the road to Damascus why did he do it three times because he probably did it 3,000 times everywhere he went he told about that experience so I have no intimidating feeling when I tell you that I want to tell you just a little bit about my background praise God hallelujah and and my text is you know I can go ahead and read it now cuz I can go anywhere from this text hallelujah Psalms 92 and 10 I think yeah there it is hallelujah the latter part of this verse says I shall be anointed with fresh or fresh praise God so I'm going to talk to you about it Amen but I would include with that and I didn't give that to the people who use this screen here put it on but you see though the outward man perish and I'm perishing I know 71 going on 72 tell me I don't look it but I'm perishing yet the inward man is renewed day by day and when we stop being renewed we stagnate praise God I was raised in Pentecost I've had great wonderful experiences my wife and I received the baptism the Holy Ghost in the same revival meeting we were just 11 years of age so that makes it about 60 years I've had the baptism of Holy Ghost I started taking piano lessons when I was 10 that's during depression days and we didn't have a lot of money didn't even have a piano to practice on my neighbor said I could use hers but I'm sure she regretted that cuz I love to practice at 15 I was playing for a Stamps Quartet I left home 15 years of age played for a Stamps Quartet when I was 16 I was teaching in their school in Dallas Texas let me let me put a little ego in here right now [name redacted] [name redacted] took lessons from me and a little more ego Mickey Mangun Mickey Mangun took lessons from me they both call me teacher they far exceeded the teacher because I had other things in mind praise God a man but it was in a town here in Louisiana Monroe where I come to teach in a stem school three-week school that's the first time I met [name redacted] she was a little girl I wouldn't do Oh myself sixteen and I taught all day long private lessons and you some of you have heard there some of you have a man and and in the in that studio room as they came one pupil after another I got a little tired of hearing all the wrong notes and was anxious to get away from it I left that room and went out into the hallway to go outside I put my hand on the doorknob and when I did somebody called me Cleveland and I turned to see whether the voice was coming from it was an audible voice and there was no one and then it trembling over me came the experience that God had called me audibly and I went back into that room and fell down by the side of that piano bench and I began to say oh god this is not what you want from me I'd left Frank stamps office that he had outlined a program for my life that would have endeared any young man I said this is not what you want for me a man and I like the writer of a poem and I've quoted it so many times I'd walk life's path with an easy tread had followed where comfort and pleasure led and then one day in a quiet place I met the master face to face I build my castles and reared them high till their towers pierced the blue of the sky I had vowed to rule with an iron mace when I met the master face to face I met him in knew him and blessed to see that eyes full of sorrow were turned on me and I faltered and fell at his feet that day while all of my castles melted away melted and vanished it in their place I saw no else but my Master's face and I cried aloud Oh make me meet to follow the path of thy wounded feet and now my thoughts are from the souls of men I've lost my life to find it again here sits that day in a quiet place I met the master face-to-face praise God hallelujah evangelize for about four years and then took the church in Bay City Texas at the early age of twenty-two I followed elder RL Blankenship the former one of the former leaders of the whole Texas district in here I was 22 somebody said he's got a lot to learn and I'm so glad they didn't say he thinks he knows it all but the DS my mentor came to my rescue many times down in Bay City Texas kind of got me into trouble one time when he asked the man what month he was born in now he doesn't believe in the signs and I don't either but when he found out what month he was born in he kind of called him by the symbol of that month and that man got it in his mind that I was the one that had called him that but anyway hallelujah in the fall of 1967 one month before the General Conference in Tulsa Oklahoma not knowing anything about what was going to take place God spoke to me in an early morning prayer meeting it was about 4 o'clock in the morning when he spoke to me and said you will be going to st. Louis did not know what would take place within a month and brother Morgan would pass away brother Chambers would be elevated to the position of general superintendent and I would be elected as general secretary my momma eight years back to Nashville Tennessee for six years in the early morning of the election 1981 in Oklahoma City I had not made a definite decision I had to know the voice of the Lord and he spoke to me and said you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this back to st. Louis for 17 years god bless my good wife who has been so close to me then about a year or two ago I felt like my time was up most of you ministers here tonight either on your certificate our own your annual fellowship card has my name on it until a year or so ago now Jerry Jones doing a tremendous job I appreciate him so very much amen but before we left st. Louis before the move came about at the summons to sacrifice a year and a half ago but the Morton bustard gave a prophecy he didn't know what we had in mind but the prophecy said you will be based in Dallas and you will rest for a time but your feet shall move quickly across the country your field shall be broad in 11 months I preached in 40 states oh god what a fulfillment of prophecy I'm not retired I'm just redirected hallelujah amen and I'm telling you what there's another feeling in my soul that I have some more time because when time is over I don't want it to be said what then what then Paul hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah pressure all of these 60 years I've longed for Heights and higher Heights and higher heights he may and praise God Lord lift me up and let me stand amen a higher plane than I found I preached that in a in a higher plane I found a higher plane in this meeting but there will not be the end of this plane there's going to be another higher plane at another higher plane I'm going on and on and on because I cannot be satisfied there is no place in my being that books me to be satisfied nor content ha you know there's no way in the world to be a part of this and not feel it I am skeptical of folks who are supposed to have this experience and never feel anything you ought to feel something some kind of a way you may not have tracked me or I may not like you but you better feel something in some kind of a way hallelujah pays gun now I may not be your kind of preacher you have another one coming tonight but some kind of a preacher or to touch you sometime somehow someway I may not say it like you or it said but somebody somewhere if they know what I'm talking about they ought to say something that will make your hand go up make you do a little dance in the spirit hallelujah praise God hallelujah make you act funny in some kind of way and I don't feel bad about acting like I act in fact I've got a good stripper second scripture second corinthians 5:13 said if we be beside ourselves him and sometimes i get beside myself hallelujah praise God we need a fresh anointing threshold threshold hallelujah and we need a fresh anointing of the name Jesus a presidential candidate being interviewed and you know the story well was asked the question who is the greatest philosopher of the day and he said Jesus he has been vilified humiliated to extent that why would he bring about the name of Jesus because you see friend there's something about that name and we who have the name had better hold on to it praise God hallelujah that name means everything to me Jesus praise God one of my first trips out of the country was with brother tinny to Colombia South America and he will remember that they gave us a little sightseeing tour in Bogota up to the mountain called the Cathedral of the bleeding Christ and as we saw those natives crawling around that life-size statue of Jesus with animal blood smeared on it to make it look more real they were calling darkness subtle over me real darkness I've never felt that kind of a darkness then I will left that mountain and went down and I thought it would leave but it didn't leave it kept staying when we went into the service that night I thought well the first song surely it will leave but it didn't leave it kept hanging on when the preaching was done and the people started going out it was still there I had to have something so I went across the way and picked up the accordion of the missionary and I put it on and I began to sing and I closed my eyes and and and then after I sung a while I opened and the people that were leaving were coming back in and they gathered around and I kept singing and they didn't know what I was singing they didn't understand English I couldn't sing in Spanish wish I could but then I looked at I saw a missionary the missionary dancing in the spirit and like a bolt out of heaven it struck me and I with that accordion on began to spin like a top and when I finally unwound the darkness was gone because you see what I was singing was in the name of Jesus there's power to set you free in the name of Jesus there's glorious victory over sin disease and sickness power to walk in Liberty through faith in his wonderful name hey there's not much room up here I'm not gonna jump on this but I can do something hallelujah because there's power in that name and we need a fresh anointing of the name of Jesus Clay's done hallelujah hallelujah praise God you know there's something about spiritual manifestations that does something for you amen hey you won't need any aerobics or any handball that's alright I don't that's fine I mean I don't but but if you really get into the services you'll get all the aerobics you need hallelujah please go ahead yeah and when you go home your sleep where is God I saw brother [name redacted] [name redacted] here and he won't mind me telling this hey man back in 1968 we was preaching the camp meat in the state of Washington he was either in the 11th grade or just graduated it may shake it is in 11th grade and one night in that service a wonder service he danced in the spirit for two hours I mean it was a hard dance his mother and dad even got got kind of worried about him why don't you stop and rest it kept going hey man we was down in Brazil for for a South American regional missionary retreat and he told us about that when that spirit of dance was on him just 11th grade student got a direction not a missionary call at that time but a direction from the Lord he's one of our five missionaries down in Argentina please God hey you say I'm not going to dance because it won't do me any good it might do you a lot of good it really might do something asset you to return yeah and do something for you if you just let go hey man and let God have his wonderful way hey man hallelujah you you say well that's that's not my characteristic hey it really isn't mine either I don't ever get really emotional about much I don't jump up and down and wring my hands until the Spirit of God gets the moving praise God hallelujah oh I've had so many wonderful experiences but it's a fresh anointing tonight that I really want and that we need we got it heaven every day every day every day every day every day praise God none Oh hallelujah praise God I guess which there's a lot of room before all of us tonight to just just do it hello praise whoa hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah man praised attending Haley you know what what has happened to some of us in our mentality just kind of like when Jesus went back to his own hometown hey man they whittled him down to man-sized they put him in a human mold they gave him a natural explanation and they stripped him of his deity yeah but all the questions they asked you know who is this in this marriage boy yeah what's he doing with all this knowledge and everything hey man and so we begin to figure it out hey there's a paralysis of analysis a man and the reason why some of you have quit giving yourself to the Lord you've analyzed it so until you feel like it's not necessary anymore let me tell you as a person that's had the Baptist of the Holy Ghost for 60 years it never gets to the place where you will have to do without that spiritual move of God whatever you do do it with all that's within you hallelujah you gotta do it hey man wait praise God hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah man now now as you age you wake up with a new pain every morning hey man I've had it in my heels I've had it in my back had in my shoulder and they gave me an exercise for each one of them I'm stretched the ligament in my leg doing a certain kind of and relieve it's really the pain in my heel and and and and and back you know there's a you can do exercise one day my wife called me over at the office and she said I got this kind of pain I don't have an exercise for that she didn't like that too well praise God but I'm here they when you will you just give it everything you got right now I don't have a pain in my body but I'll probably wake up in the morning with one but I'll get it worked out some way or another hey man a man a man praise God we the United Way I'm so thrilled with this meeting and with this great church because all that I've heard here about the way you win folks is worship my wife and I are attending our son-in-law and daughter's Church of Nash in Dallas a man and I'm telling you it's a worshiping Church hallelujah and I'm so glad he's here because it's just going to fortify him to go back he's told his church that he's not going to let anybody out worship Him this year and I'm about decided that too I'm not gonna let anybody not worship me this year yay hallelujah praise the Lord Jesus hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah amen praise God well the Muny tells a story of an exclusive meeting that he attended in France a year so go and great theologians from all over the world had gathered there Harvard University Oxford Berkeley every great school of learning was was their 47 people gathered for five days from early to late each day trying to figure out a way to make Christianity more compatible with modern science they came up with two essential problems so he says two things to deal with to make Christianity compatible one we've got to solve the Godhead question these great scholars and the second one we've got to solve the alternate lifestyle question two big problems for Christianity amen they said Christianity has got to stop insisting that Jesus is God and we got to figure out how to make our lifestyle more compatible with alternate ideas of human sexuality namely we got to endorse homosexuality now there were people on both sides of the issue and one dr. Montgomery said that Jesus was God and no way that Christians can be defined apart from the idea that Jesus was God manifested in the flesh thank God for that scholar hallelujah another one said Christianity as it is real optimally died not on your life praise God praise God the only people that have a chance to turning this world upside down or Pentecostals hey man do you understand that here we are in the last days and we've got our hands on the two biggest issues of Christianity according to this exclusive school he may end the deity of Christ the oneness of the Godhead and the baptism of the Holy Ghost hallelujah hey man hallelujah we have no intention of retreating now some of our friends and relatives may have lost their moorings but we're going on hallelujah praise God praise God and you know when I get to thinking about Jesus and all that he's done for me my soul cries out praise God for saving me you know I wish I could say all the lovely things that I would love to say about Jesus so far as I'm concerned he's everything have you ever stopped to think how much Jesus really means to you you wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for Jesus I wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for Jesus I wouldn't have known you if it hadn't been for Jesus and you wouldn't have known me just go back in your Bible did you know that there wouldn't have been a Bible had it not been for Jesus John said in the book of Revelation 19 and 10 for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy had it not been for him coming there would not have been a spirit of prophecy the book is in three chapters old before you've got your first messianic prophecy the seed of the woman shall bruise the Serpent's head and you can't go through that book until you run upon another one the scepter shall not depart from Judah until the lawgiver between his feet and so on it goes just go on through that book you wouldn't have known about Abraham and Isaac you wouldn't have known about Matthew Mark Luke and John and Jesus said Moses wrote about me yea to those on the road to Emmaus at beginning at Moses and the prophets he expounded to them all the scriptures the thing concerning himself somehow or another he's there praise God he's God great son of David hallelujah Hugh Mann and the paradoxes are blended together in him the highest becomes the lowest and still the highest the creator becomes the creature in his steel the Creator the bread of life becomes the fountain of living water and he's still the bread of life the strongest becomes the weakest and is still the strongest amen amen amen amen hallelujah and but the Golder said this and I quote from him Mary's God became Mary's baby and he still Mary's God hallelujah and the more you talk about him the more there is to talk about him the high priest became the Lamb of God and doesn't cease to be the high priest he who was is he who is and he who is is the one that is to come he's the Lord God Almighty God himself oh yeah praise God praise God he's my king the king of Ages the king of heaven the king of righteousness the king of glory and the king of kings hallelujah I have to stop just for a moment to get my bearing here because I don't know which way to go run this way run this way get down roll whatever praise God God Oh God hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah he came and he was already here he left and he didn't go away he's coming back again and he never left praise God we've got no stop Jesus God manifest in the flesh and he revealed himself more to us all the time the songwriter said I found a friend in Jesus he's everything to me he's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul the lily of the valley in him alone I see all I need to cleanse and make me fully hold hey I don't need three guards I found all that I need wrapped up in Jesus hallelujah praise God good man Oh hallelujah man oh man I got it I got a I got a stop hallelujah and sarra he's my comfort in trouble he's mistake he tells me just roll all your cares on me Oh God just do it hallelujah mani man it's great I don't mean me I'm talking about Jesus he's great He is God and that's one of the two things that that exclusive society tried to decide who was God and when they came out of it they might not have known him as you and I know him so we better tell it everywhere we go Jesus is God and the name of Jesus is the strong and mighty tower hallelujah praise God hey man well sit down just a minute hey praise God hallelujah I'm lit a man I feel like I feel I started saying but maybe better not but but I'm going to I feel like a Christmas tree all lit up hallelujah whoo hallelujah hallelujah praise God praise God some of you do too yes yeah yeah yeah yeah please God please come about through who Oh go here gun little Yin is God praise God hey man I got stop please sit down just another time a man when Paul wrote to the church in the book of Colossians Colossians 2 and 9 the colossian were philosophic in their ideas and legalistic in their thinking and when Paul looked at Jesus in one verse he uses two words when he could have gotten along well with just one when he said for in him dwelleth all he could have stopped there all is just all there's no more you can put in all that's all but when he looked at the word all the word all just couldn't say it all so long without all he put fullness and when the things food you just can't put any more in it but so far as Paul was concerned Jesus had more than all and he was an overflowing all in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily praise God praise God I personally heard this testimony some years ago when the Supreme Court and when all the bees there in Washington said normal prayer in school there was a principal that said we're gonna have prayer we're gonna have it so they had it and there was a group of atheist in the city that knew that they couldn't just walk in and say stop so they had to devise a means whereby they could stop this so they decided to counteract against it by sending an atheist to talk to the student body so the principal had to agree so they had a full assembly of all the high school in the auditorium there and the Atheist was going to be given one hour to talk to that student body and so for one solid hour in his oratorical ability he told that student body there is no God don't believe in God and it looked like he was winning them so he was satisfied with his speech and he turned to sit down and just before the principal got up to dismiss the class way in the back there was a Pentecostal girl and she was not noted for for any ability to sing but she stood up in that moment of quietness and she began to sing as loudly she could I shall know him I shall know him as redeemed by his side I shall stand I shall know him I shall know him by the print of the nails in his hands and the tide turned completely the student body and the teachers together all began to weep amen and the oratorical bility was thrown out the window hey man and when my life's worth is ended and I crossed for swelling tide and the face of my dear Savior I shall see I shall know my redeemer when I reach the other side and his smile will be the first to welcome me and I know him I just want to know more I want to go further father and brother a fresh anointing a new anointing that's sufficient for today but you'll get it again in the morning and throughout the day and throughout the week and throughout the month throughout the year it's got to be don't ever feel like you can sit still and not give yourself to the Spirit of the Lord God somebody away in the back or go hallelujah hallelujah somebody way across the front ought to do it hallelujah
