And I want to start there and then I want to go to Deuteronomy 6 and chapter chapter 6 and verse 23. But let's start off in Colossians 1 and 13. Amen. So good. We have so many guests in the house. Uh, Pastor Carpenter already said, "We're glad you're here. We're thankful that you've come to worship with us. We're thankful you've come to hear the word of God tonight." Amen. We're missing Pastor Nolan this weekend. And he is in Potts Camp, Mississippi. And if you have never been to Potts Camp, it is it is an awesome place. Matter of fact, I spent some time there uh in my early ministry. Got to attend church there. And it's a it's a powerful church. and um they've been enjoying the ministry. Uh brother Nolan and he's been blessing them in a lot of different ways. Everything from children's ministry to preaching to altar uh call sessions and and kind of training up altar workers. Uh he's been he's been doing it all and he's so good at all that and we're blessed to have him here. But we're also thankful we get to share him. Amen. Get to share him with the body of Christ and with other churches. So thankful for his ministry. Colossians 1:13 says this, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath transformed us into the kingdom of his dear son, delivered us from the power of darkness, and he translated us into the kingdom." We're going to preach about that in a moment. Deuteronomy 6 and23, very similar. and he hath brought us out from then that he might bring us in to give us the land which he hath swore or promised unto our fathers. Listen, I'm thankful that he brought us out of some things, but I'm also thankful he's bringing us into some things. Come on. Your testimony of deliverance should be the opening of your story, but it should not be the closing of your story. Now listen, Pastor Carpenter, this morning I told I told my wife, I said, "When I got done, I I get up early early on Sunday mornings and begin to study if I'm preaching on a Sunday night." And I told family, I said, "There is no way Pastor Carpenter can preach on my topic this morning." Because the last two or three Sundays, he's done that to me and I always got to put a part two on everything. I thought there's no possible way he can preach on my topic, but I guess we have the same God talking to us. What's the story? I love the story you tell about uh about the two brothers who uh the teacher the teacher brought them in for cheating. Said, "You've been copying off each other's papers and I know you're brothers, but you've been copying. you've been doing homework together and I have no choice but to give you both a zero. And they said, "No, no." They said, "What do you mean?" I said, "Your papers are exactly the same. You describe this the the the dog the same way. You talked about everything about this dog." And the brother said, "No, it's the same dog." And the same God, might be a little dyslexic, but the same God has been talking to both of us. And I'm thankful. I'm I'm thankful for confirmation of the word of God. Amen. Are you thankful that God can talk to you and can talk to your brother, talk to your sister, talk to your pastor? Songs we used to sing all the time says, "He brought me out of the miry clay. He set my feet on the rock to stay. He put a song in my soul today, a song of praise. So my heart was distressed near Jehovah's dead frown. And low in the pit where my sin dragged me down. I cried to the Lord. From the de I recy clay who tenderly brought me out to golden day. He brought me out of the myy clay. He set my feet on the rock to stay. He put a song in my soul today. A song of praise. Hallelujah. Anybody been brought out anything? Come on. You been brought out of anything today? You can say, "I GOT A TESTIMONY WHAT I'VE been brought out of." BUT THANK GOD, I'M NOT ONLY TESTIFYING WHAT I'VE BEEN BROUGHT OUT OF, BUT I'M ALSO TESTIFYING what he's bringing me to. I'm simply GOING TO PREACH, HE BROUGHT ME out to bring me to. He brought me out to bring me in. I'm so thankful tonight. God has given me a testimony. Come on, lift up both hands together. Oh, come on. Before we preach, come on. Just tell the Lord, "Thank you, Lord God, for where you brought me out of. And I thank you, Lord. You brought me a mighty long way, but you've also brought me to something. And you brought me into something. And because of that, I can't help but to give you the total praise in this house tonight. Come on now, clap your hands up to the Lord if YOU'RE THANKFUL. WHAT HE'S BROUGHT YOU INTO." YES. Thank you, Jesus. You may be seated in the house. For years, Israel had lived under the cruel demands of Pharaoh. You know the story. I'm not going to go back and tell the whole Exodus story, but they cried out from under their bondage. And the Bible says that God heard them and he sent Moses with a message for Pharaoh that simply said, "Let my people go." Come on. But if you don't know the story, you got to read the book of Exodus. It's one of the greatest books in the Bible. It'll give you it'll give you so much courage. It'll give you so much victory, so much faith in a God who can bring you out of anything. It's an amazing story of deliverance. 10 plagues, a Passover of a death angel, and the Israelites finally escape out of Egypt. BUT IT DIDN'T take long. Listen, it didn't take long for Pharaoh to change his mind and to pursue after the Israelites. And let me pause right here and tell you, I got to preach that there's always going to be an old memory. There's always going to be an old temptation. There's always going to be old desires that are going to follow you right out of Egypt. >> If you think that you're just GOING TO LEAVE SIN BEHIND AND YOU'RE DONE WITH SIN, let me tell you something. Sin is not done with you. JUST TRY LIVING BEFORE THE LORD ANY length of time and things, thoughts, old behaviors, old temptations, they're going to START TRYING TO CATCH BACK UP WITH YOU AND THEY'RE GOING TO TRY TO overtake you. But I've got news for you. There's a God who's looking out after you. And although THE THE THE PHARAOH WANTED SO BAD TO TAKE THE ISRAELITES BACK TO EGYPT, GOD SAW them and God protected them. And there they were. They saw the Red Sea in front of them and they saw Pharaoh in his chariots behind them. But thank God he provided a way OUT AND HE PROVIDED A WAY THROUGH THE Red Sea and because of that THEY FOUND FREEDOM. BUT LET ME PREACH RIGHT HERE BECAUSE ISRAEL LOOKED BACK AND WHEN THEY SAW THE ARMY they thought all hope was lost. But their God let them be victorious. And I mean that they he let them be victorious. He didn't have to allow them to be victorious, but he let them be victorious. AND THIS TOPIC RIGHT HERE FIRES ME UP. AND I'VE COME TO PREACH TONIGHT THAT JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE YOU'VE BEEN RELEASED and you've escaped Egypt DOESN'T MEAN THAT EGYPT'S NOT GOING TO COME AFTER YOU. BUT WHEN YOU REPENT OF YOUR SINS AND YOU TURN FROM A WORLD THAT DOES GIVE YOU THE power to MAKE A DECISION TO ALLOW YOUR ENEMY TO GO THROUGH THE SAME WATER YOU GO THROUGH. >> BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS YOUR ENEMY CAN'T GET THROUGH the water. >> Oh, come on. You know the story. Oh, you know the story. as the children of Israel made their way through the Red Sea, AS THE WATER, AS it walled up on BOTH SIDES OF THEM, AND THEY WALKED THROUGH WITH A HIGH HAND. And they walked THROUGH IN DELIVERANCE. THEY LOOKED BACK AND THEY SAW THE EGYPTIAN ARMY coming after them. But I got NEWS FOR YOU. YOUR WORLDLY MISTAKES CAN'T SURVIVE THE WATER. >> Come on, SOMEBODY. YOUR FAILURES AND YOUR MESS UPS, THEY CAN'T SURVIVE THE WATER. THOSE THINGS THAT FOLLOW YOU OUT OF THE WORLD, THEY CAN'T SURVIVE BAPTISM. >> For 1 Corinthians 10:11 says, "Moreover, BRETHREN, I WOULD NOT THAT YOU WOULD BE IGNORANT HOW THAT ALL OF OUR FATHERS WERE UNDER THE CLOUD, AND THEY ALL PASSED THROUGH THE SEA." WATCH THIS RIGHT HERE. AND WERE ALL BAPTIZED UNTO MOSES IN THE CLOUD AND IN THE SEA. OH, THOSE OLD EGYPTIAN TASK MASTERS, THEY CAN'T SURVIVE THE SEA OF BAPTISM. >> THE EGYPTIAN ARMY AND THE WEAPONS OF WARFARE WERE DROWNED BEFORE THE VERY EYES OF THE ISRAELITES. AND THE PEOPLE SAW WHAT THE LORD HAD DONE. AND THE BIBLE SAYS THEY BEGAN TO SING. The Bible says that Miriam, the sister of Moses, took out a tambourine and led the women AS THEY BROUGHT OUT THEIR OH, I LIKE THIS RIGHT HERE. I THINK TO MYSELF, WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THEY HAVE TAMBOURINES? These were A BUNCH OF SLAVES. THESE WERE A BUNCH OF OPPRESSED PEOPLE. BUT I GOT TO READING MY BIBLE AND BROTHER PAUL, THEY CAME OUT OF THERE WITH TAMBOURINES. AND WHEN THEY HAD VICTORY IN THEIR LIFE, UH THEY COULDN'T HELP UH BUT TO GIVE GOD A SHOUT OF PRAISE UH AND GIVE GOD A DANCE. UH AND THEY DANCE UNTO THE LORD AND THEY SANG PRAISES TO GOD FOR HE had delivered them. >> IT'S OKAY FOR FORMER SLAVESH TO BREAK OUT IN CELEBRATION WHEN THEY SEE THAT GOD HAS brought them out. Oh my God. The day that God BROUGHT YOU OUT DESERVES TO BE REMEMBERED for the rest of YOUR LIFE. >> THAT'S WHY WE have a testimony. >> Oh yeah. I I DON'T WANT YOU TO WALK OUT OF THIS SERVICE TONIGHT AND THINK THAT I'M TELLING YOU NOT TO CELEBRATE DELIVERANCE. GO AHEAD AND CELEBRATE. THAT'S WHY WE SING SONGS OF DELIVERANCE. AND PASTOR TALKED ABOUT THIS THIS MORNING AND I'M about to jump on his coattail. BUT WE CAN CELEBRATE FOR A SHORT WHILE. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT THE CELEBRATION. THE PROBLEM WAS THEY STAYED TOO LONG IN THE CELEBRATION. AND WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE WALKED THROUGH A A WILDERNESS, A PATHWAY TO THE PROMISED LAND, THEY GOT comfortable thanking God for what he just did and what he brought them out of. AND HE THEY FORGOT THAT IT WAS MORE THAN JUST BEING BRINGING THEM OUT OF SOMETHING. HE WANTED TO BRING THEM INTO SOMETHING. >> YES, SIR. >> We sing the song, you stepped into my Egypt. YOU TOOK ME BY THE HAND. YOU MARCHED ME OUT IN FREEDOM INTO THE promised land. We sing songs like, "He picked me up and turned me around. HE PLACED MY FEET on solid ground. I THANK THE MASTER. I THANK THE SAVIOR. I thank God." WE SING SONGS LIKE I'M DANCING OUT OF MY GRAVE CLOTHES. Whom the sun sets free is free indeed. WE SING SONGS LIKE WE SING TONIGHT SHOUT LIKE THE CHAINS HAVE BEEN BROKEN. HE DID IT. >> AND THAT'S OKAY. MATTER OF FACT, EVERY PERSON THAT COMES UP OUT OF THE GRAVE, EVERY PERSON THAT SEES THE ENEMY DROWN BEFORE THEIR SIGHT, THERE OUGHT TO BE A CELEBRATION OF DELIVERANCE. I CALL IT THE DANCE OF DELIVERANCE. MAN, THERE'S NOTHING LIKE SEEING OUR FREE GUYS, MAN. Brother Kenny, YOUR BOYS, THERE AIN'T NOTHING LIKE SEEING THEM UP HERE worshiping God. Because when YOU BROUGHT BEEN BROUGHT OUT OF A WHOLE LOT OF THINGS, Brother White, it's easy to give God praise. It's easy to give him glory WHEN YOU LOOK BACK OVER YOUR LIFE AND YOU KNOW WHAT YOU USED TO DO AND who you used to beh and WHO YOU USED TO RUN WITH. IT'S CALLED THE DANCE OF DELIVERANCE. IT'S GOOD. I'm not preaching against it. However, I'm to jump ON PASTOR'S COATTAIL BECAUSE SOMETIMES WE PREACH ABOUT deliverance and we sing ABOUT DELIVERANCE SO MUCH WE GET STUCK IN DELIVERANCE AND WE FORGET TO MOVE ON THROUGH THE WILDERNESS INTO THE promised land. >> We talk about our testimony. Again, again, I don't want you leaving here saying, "Oh, Brother Ericson, he's going to he's going to change all the song since we're not going to sing about deliverance ANYMORE." WELL, WE WE'LL ALWAYS SING ABOUT deliverance cuz we got to remember where we used to be. But oh my god, we can't become like a bunch of Uncle Rico, LIVING IN 1990 OR 1982, talking about how oh my back when I was in high school, I was the quarterback and and if the coach would have just put me in, IF THE COACH I WOULD HAVE THREW THAT TOUCHDOWN PASS AND WE WOULD HAVE WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. AND A LOT of people LIVE IN THEIR PAST AND THEY LIVE WHAT THEY USED TO BE AND THEY START GLORIFYING YESTER YEAR. >> Come on. You know what I'm talking about. Warm up to me a little bit. >> I'm all about testimonies. I'm not I got to keep on prefacing this cuz I I'm just worried somebody's going to be like, "Oh, he's preaching he's preaching against leaving your testimony." I'm not I'm not preaching against leaving your testimony or telling somebody what what God's done for you. But we got to get out of the mindset THAT IT'S JUST ABOUT deliverance out of >> because he's also trying to work us into something. >> I'm going to preach about it just some more. I'm so excited about this. Uh because when I think of where God wants his church uh and God wants his kingdom to be not just one step out of the Red Sea. IT'S JUST NOT WITH A TAMBOURINE AND DANCING ON THE SHORELINE OF THE RED SEA. THAT'S NOT WHAT GOD CALLED US TO. >> I THANK GOD FOR IT, BUT IT'S NOT WHAT GOD CALLED US TO. HE WANTS US to do something FOR HIS KINGDOM. HE WANTS US TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. HE WANTS US TO ADD VALUE TO THIS COMMUNITY BY SHARING THE WORD OF GOD WITH THEM AND TELL THEM HOW THEY CAN BE SAVED. BUT IF WE GET TOO UH ALL ENTHRALLED ABOUT OUR DELIVERANCE, WE CAN'T OPEN OUR EYES TO REALIZE THERE'S PEOPLE ALL AROUND us that need deliverance. >> One of the most exciting things to see is the dance of the redeemed. One of the most beautiful things to see IS SOMEBODY WHEN THEY first when they FIRST FIGURE OUT HOW to dance. Come on. You know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about when they begin to fling their arms, they begin to spin. Brother Kenny begin to spin out of control. I listen, I love that because I've been around the apostolic twostep all my life. I know that dance. I'm pretty good at that dance. But man, I like to see those that you can tell something really took place in their life. And they're not just here looking apostolic. They're they're experienced Pentecost. the wilderness. I said it was simply a pathway between Egypt and the PROMISED LAND. AND THERE'S GOT TO BE A NEXT CHAPTER AFTER EGYPT. AND THERE'S GOT TO BE A NEXT CHAPTER AFTER THE RED SEA. HE BROUGHT ME OUT TO BRING me in. >> And so Moses, I'm going to skip forward a little bit. Moses uh he he sends 12 men to explore the promised land because Moses understood that they've been called out of something but they'd also been called into something. And these 12 they saw the cities AND THEY SAW THE INHABITANTS AND AND THEY SAW the fruitfulness of the land. And at the brook of Eshkcoll, THEY CUT DOWN A BRANCH WITH A CLUSTER of grapes that took two men WITH A STAFF BETWEEN THEIR shoulders just to carry this cluster of grapes back to the people of Israel. Now listen, apparently giants grow giant grapes. It just makes sense to me. BUT WHEN THE SPIES RETURNED, the congregation could see the evidence of THE LAND'S GOODNESS. BUT THERE WERE 10. There were 10 THAT BEGAN TO DESCRIBE THE STRENGTH OF THE PEOPLE AND BEGAN TO DESCRIBE THE WALLED CITIES. But oh, it was Joshua and Caleb. Woo! two of the SPIES THAT CAME BACK UH WITH A GOOD REPORT FILLED WITH FAITH AND THEY QUIETED THE PEOPLE AND THEY BEGGED THEM. THEY SAID UH WE MUST GO UP AT ONCE AND POSSESS THE LAND FOR GOD HAS BROUGHT THIS LAND. HE'S BROUGHT US OUT TO BRING US IN. BUT THE people refused. THEY CARRIED THE FRUIT OF A FUTURE THAT THEY WERE AFRAID TO ENTER INTO. THEY'RE EATING OF GRAPES. I don't know. In my mind, I imagine grapes. I know this is PROBABLY RIDICULOUS, BUT I REM I IMAGINE GRAPES THE SIZE OF ORANGES. I'M TALKING ABOUT HANGING OFF THAT THING. I'M TALKING TWO men could barely bring that cluster of grapes back home. AND HERE THEY ARE EATING OF FRUIT that they're too scared to go and possess the land where the fruit came from. Hebrews 3 and 3 and9 19. Let me let me bring SOME NEW TESTAMENT INTO THIS. IT SAYS, "So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. THEIR LACK OF FAITH KEPT THEM in the wilderness." Hebrews 4:2, the the the SAME NEW TESTAMENT WRITER, HE NOW MOVES INTO CHAPTER 4 AND HE SAYS, "FOR UNTO US WAS THE GOSPEL PREACHED." NOW HE'S TALKING ABOUT THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL in chapter 3, BUT IN CHAPTER 4 HE SAYS, "BUT NOW LET'S LOOK AT US AND let's look in the mirror. LET'S COMPARE OURSELVES AMONG OURSEL. LET'S NOT JUDGE THE ISRAELITES TOO HARSHLY." RIGHT? He says, "For unto us," now let's TALK ABOUT USH WAS THE GOSPEL PREACHED AS WELL AS UNTO THEM. BUT THE WORD PREACHED DID NOT PROFIT THEM, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THEM THAT HEARD IT. SO RIGHT HERE WE HAVE 12 MEN. TWO OF THEM COME BACK HOME WITH FAITH. BUT 10 OF THEM THEY LACK FAITH. THEY HAVE UNBELIEF. HERE IT IS RIGHT HERE IN HEBREWS. IT'S SIMPLY SAYING WE CAN ALL SEE THE SAME THING. AND SOME OF US WE CAN COME BACK ENCOURAGED AND READY TO WIN THE WORLD. AND OTHERS UH WHO SEE THE VERY SAME THING AND HEAR THE very same PREACHING WE HEAR CAN COME BACK UH AND BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF UH IT PROFITS THEM NOTHING. >> I bring this experience uh into a warning for us uh hearing the word carries a responsibility to respond with faith. the church. We have got to have faith when God has made the next step clear. WE CAN'T KEEP CALLING OUR HESITATION PREPARATION. NOW, I KNOW THAT SOMETIMES GOD WILL GIVE us a wilderness experience to help prepare us uh for the next season, the next ministry of our life. I KNOW EVEN JESUS HIMSELF uh he went out into a wilderness. Even he as he's beginning his ministry there was some time that he had to spend just to show that he was God and the devil had no power over him. >> WE KNOW THE STORY OF DAVID, THE STORY OF JOSEPH, I COULD GO ON AND ON WHERE THEY ALL HAD SEASONS of wilderness that got them prepared for ministry. But we CANNOT UH USE THE LACK OF FAITH UH HESITATION. Uh we CANNOT USE THAT UH AND MAKE AN EXCUSE of preparation NOT TO SAY GOD WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE? UH WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO BRING ME INTO? Now I I understand I understand that everybody every ministry people work at different rates of speed. Some people some people they get right in some people go to Bible school. Some people go to Bible school and they already are good preachers. Uh they're already talented musicians. They're they're already talented singers. Uh they come OUT OF THERE READY. AND I KNOW THAT OTHER PEOPLE it takes them years. It takes them years to develop AND AND WHAT HAVE YOU. I UNDERSTAND THAT. BUT GOD, NEVER LET IT BE DOUBT THAT KEEPS ME FROM DEVELOPING. NEVER LET IT BE SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME THAT DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH FAITH THAT YOU'RE ABLE TO TAKE ME to the next season of my life. And we sing a song around here. Goes like this. Is won't we have a time when we get over yonder? Pastor was preaching about this this morning. Won't we have a time when we get over yonder? Won't we have a time when we get over yonder? Sing. Oh, won't we have a time? And we will. And we're looking forward that day. But I like the verse that says, "On this road to glory, we're going to have a time." On this road to glory, we're going to have a time. On this road to glory, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE a time. Oh, won't we have a time? And the reason why we got to sing that is because we can't be a people that ALL WE CARE ABOUT IS BEING BROUGHT OUT AND SOMEHOW GOD SAVE US. SOMEHOW GOD BLOW A TRUMPET AND RESCUE US. UH SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY WE GOT TO REALIZE THAT WE LIVE THE VERY BEST LIFE RIGHT NOW. >> AND AGAIN, I WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN JUST LIKE THE NEXT PERSON. Not right now. But I do want to go to heaven. That's my eternal destination. That's that's where I'm planning on spending all I'm going to spend all eternity in heaven. But right now, what we can't get confused is Canaan land is not heaven. >> Canaan land has has battles and wars and giants and there's sin, all kinds of things going on in Canaan. There there's not going to be any of that in heaven. We're we're not going to go to heaven and have to fight BATTLES AND AND TRY TO STAY IN HEAVEN. OH, NO, NO, NO, NO. CANAAN LAND CANAAN LAND IS IS WHERE THE church ought to be living. >> I pray to God we're not living in the wilderness. THE CHURCH, THE THE BODY OF CHRIST, WE GOT TO BE IN A PLACE of victory, in a place where God is leading us. Uh in A PLACE WHERE GOD IS DIRECTING US. UH WE GOT TO BE IN A LISTEN, there's walled cities. Cities we didn't build. There's vineyards we didn't plant. God has blessed us. Listen, I love being apostolic Pentecostal. >> Let me just preach. Let me just preach about IT FOR A MOMENT. BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT WHY GOD HAS GIVEN us Canaan land and why he's given us an inheritance TO ENJOY IS THE VERY REASON WHY THE CHURCH IS IN THIS ROOM TODAY WORSHIPING TOGETHER AND MAKING a difference in OUR COMMUNITY. THE BIBLE SAYS IN JOHN 10:10, "THE THIEF COMETH NOT BUT TO STEAL AND TO KILL AND TO DESTROY." BUT HERE WE GO. JESUS SAID, "I am come that they might have life AND THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY." >> OH, I LOVE LIVING FOR the Lord BECAUSE THE LORD SAYS, "I WANT TO GIVE YOU A MORE ABUNDANT LIFE. I WANT TO GIVE YOU A SATISFYING LIFE. I WANT LISTEN I WANT YOU TO ENJOY LIFE LIKE YOU'VE NEVER ENJOYED LIFE. UH IF YOU'RE LIVING FROM SUNDAY TO SUNDAY AND YOU'RE BARELY SURVIVING SOMETHING'S WRONG. >> YOU OUGHT TO GET ENOUGH HOLY GHOST ON SUNDAY THAT IT OVERFLOWS INTO YOUR MONDAY. >> There'll be THERE OUGHT TO BE ENOUGH JOY OF THE HOLY GHOST THAT FILLS UP YOUR MONDAY THAT MONDAY CAN'T EVEN CONTAIN IT. AND NOW IT GOES INTO YOUR TUESDAY AND INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY AND we have midweek AND WE GET REVIVED again >> in OUR THURSDAY AND OUR FRIDAY AND ON SATURDAY OVERFLOW. OH MY GOD. Uh if you're here today uh if you're here TONIGHT UH AND YOU'RE JUST BARELY TRYING TO SURVIVE. UH I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT OUT OF SOMETHING BUT YOU SURELY HAVEN'T BROUGHT BROUGHT INTO ANYTHING. Because when you've been brought into something, you don't complain. You don't complain about. Oh, I tell you what, I tell you, they make us do so many things around there. There's so many rules and regulations. They're trying to keep us separated from the world. I like what Romans 12 and one says. IT SAYS, "I BESEECH YOU THEREFORE, BRETHREN, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, HOLY, ACCEPTABLE UNTO GOD, WHICH IS your >> God. What else can we do? It this only makes sense, church. We're not doing any great thing. DON'T PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK JUST BECAUSE YOU present your body a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto God. >> Bible says it's our reasonable service. Hebrews 13:15 says, "By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name." Listen, last night my wife made an announcement to the choir and I 100% back what she was saying. But I'll BE HONEST WITH YOU, I HAD a little conviction hit me because she made the statement. She said, "Listen, we got a lot of choir members that that sing on Sunday night and for whatever reason you don't sing on Sunday morning." And she said, "We ought to give God a sacrifice of praise and sing in the choir on Sunday morning. And baby, I just got to thinking. Is that really a sacrifice of praise that you would, bless your heart, have to sing in the choir on a Sunday morning? You'd have to sing in a 150 voice choir that's putting out singles and and and bless your little heart. >> Boy, you done sacrificed I'm smiling. I'm smiling. You follow me? I I began I be I began to research a sacrifice of praise. And this means that that you praise God even when it hurts. >> Pastor Corbin, I I was in a prayer room. I thought, I don't know if I've ever given God a sacrifice of praise. I I've never lost a a spouse and had to praise God through it. I've never lost a parent and had to praise God through it. I've never lost a a sibling and had to praise God through it. I've never been through an ugly divorce and had to praise God through it. But some of you have truly given God a sacrifice of praise. SOME OF YOU HAVE SACRIFICED AND PRAISED HIM WHEN YOU LOST YOUR JOB AND YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW YOU'RE going to put food on the table. >> But when I begin to read, this is just my reasonable service. It's fruit of my lips. IT'S BEING THANKFUL UNTO GOD IN THE GOOD AND BEING THANKFUL UNTO GOD IN THE BAD. OH MY GOD. WHEN EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL AND WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE BREAKING LOOSE IN MY LIFE, UH, AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING TO MAKE THE NEXT PAYCHECK FROM, SOMEHOW SOMEWAY, I STILL GIVE MY GOD PRAISE. AND I JUST BELIEVE IT'S JUST A REASONABLE SERVICE. UH, SINGING IN THE CHOIR IS NOT A SACRIFICE OF PRAISE. UH, THAT'S EASY. THAT'S SOMETHING I WANT TO DO. THAT'S A PRIVILEGE. THAT'S SOMETHING I GET TO DO. BUT GOD HELP ME GET ME LONG DELIVERANCE AND GET INTO A PLACE WHERE I CAN MINISTER. >> IF ALL YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS APOSTOLIC LIFE IS TRYING TO SURVIVE FROM SUNDAY TO SUNDAY, YOU'VE MISSED THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE. >> Come on. This is the best life you could live. Brother Randy, I BE JUST LOOK I be to look over this crowd this morning and I thought, "Oh my God, you blessed us. God, I don't deserve to worship in a church like this. WHAT WHAT MADE ME WORTHY TO BE IN YOUR KINGDOM? What made me worthy that you would see me and take NOTICE OF ME? WHO AM I THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF ME? >> >> Come on. Have you ever THOUGHT ABOUT THAT? STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF AND THINK YOU'RE IN A ROOM WHERE SALVATION HAS COME. YOU'VE GOT REVELATIONS THAT THAT PEOPLE FROM YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAVE NEVER RECEIVED. UH YOU UNDERSTAND BIBLE DOCTRINE. YOU'VE BEEN PREACHED TO. UH YOU'VE BEEN SANG TO. YOU'VE BEEN MINISTERED TO IN A SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSROOM. AND THERE'S PEOPLE ALL OVER THIS COUNTY THAT HAVE NEVER HEARD THE GOOD NEWS. Before you made the DECISION THAT THIS LIFE IS TOO HARD, WHY DON'T YOU JUST TRY SELLING OUT? >> If you live for God easy, it's going to be the hardest thing you've ever done. >> BUT IF YOU LIVE FOR GOD HARD, it's easy. >> God, help us. I know you brought us out of so much, God. But what have you brought us into? That's what I've come to preach about tonight. GOD, I'M FAITHFUL FOR DELIVERANCE. BUT GOD, I WANT TO SEE WHAT YOU'RE about to do IN MY LIFE. UH I WANT TO SEE WHAT MINISTRY, LORD GOD, WHAT DOORS YOU'RE ABOUT TO OPEN. I WANT TO SEE WHO YOU'RE GOING TO ALLOW ME TO MINISTER TO. Come on, SOMEBODY. IF WE GET EVERY THOUGHT OFF OF OURSEL AND GET OUR SELFISH THINKING OUT OF OURSELVES, THEN WE CAN LOOK AND SEE A LOST AND DYING WORLD AND WE CAN REALIZE, GOD, YOU'VE CALLED ME TO DO SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST BE DELIVERED. >> I wouldn't trade this lifestyle of holiness and separation for anything. >> Sister Hawkins sings that song, I choose to be a Christian. I choose to live like him. Nobody's making me do it. This is how I choose TO LIVE. YOU DECIDE for you and I'll decide for me. But the choice is mine and this is how I choose to live. >> Cuz brother Dakota, I'll be crazy to live any other lifestyle. TELL ME WHAT BAR IN THIS COMMUNITY IS SERVING UP UH the best liquor THAT WILL BE BETTER AND make you feel like you do in this place tonight. >> I got a friend Uber driver. He told me the other day, he said, "Yeah, I took I took a nap today so I could stay up late tonight and oh my goodness, I know I'm going to get all kinds of all kinds of calls. Drunk people are going to need to be driven home from the bars. My God. Thank God we don't have to do that. >> You waste all your paycheck on a on beers. >> Makes your breast smell bad. Makes you belch and got to run to the restroom and hug a commode. Oh, you're living a good life now. >> Got to pay money for somebody to bring you home. And you got you got to pay more money to have somebody bring you back to get your car the next day cuz you got to leave it at the bar. >> Oh man, you're you're living the life. Man, if I could if I could just wear what the world wears, I got news for you. Turn on your television. Get on your internet for you that don't believe in the TV. Turn on your cell phone. And you're going to start seeing that the world is dressing like you. Say, "Wait a minute. What are you talking about? >> >> I began to look at the red carpet of some of the award shows and thought, "My god, I've never seen so many women with uncut hair and wearing long dresses in my life." I thought, "Wait a minute. We we've been doing that my brother Bruce my whole life. I I I remember when the style was for the women to have shaved heads, little bull cuts. I remember you would you would never walk through the mall and see a woman in a dress. [panting] And now it seems weird to see women looking any other way because you know what the world finally figured out? It's beautiful for a woman to look feminine. You got worldly fathers who the last thing they want TO SEE IS THEIR DAUGHTER looking butch. Even the world can see. EVEN THE WORLD CAN TAKE NOTICE. SO WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WE AS THE CHURCH WANT TO TURN AWAY FROM WHAT WE'VE always known to be true and what THE WORD OF GOD HAS ALWAYS TAUGHT US AND ALWAYS REVEALED TO USH TO LOOK LIKE SOMETHING THAT THE WORLD IS LOOKING AT US AND SAYING IF THAT'S WHAT BEAUTY IS GOING TO START LOOKING LIKE THAT IF A MAN LOOKS MASCULINE WE WANT TO LOOK MASCULINE IF A MAN DRESSES LIKE A MAN WE WANT TO DRESS LIKE A LISTEN I'M SORRY BUT YOU'VE COME TOO LATE TO TELL ME THAT WE'RE OUT OF STYLE BEING A FOLLOWER OF THE WORD OF GOD. I BELIEVE AS LONG AS WE STAY IN THIS BOOK, UH, WE'RE ALWAYS IN STYLE. AS LONG AS WE FOLLOW WHAT THE WRITTEN WORD SAYS, WE'RE ALWAYS IN STYLE. DON'T LOOK FOR HOLLYWOOD TO MAKE OUR STYLE. MY GOD. LORD, show me what you want ME TO BE. SHOW ME HOW YOU WANT ME TO LIVE. SHOW ME WHAT YOU WANT ME TO WEAR. SHOW ME WHERE YOU WANT ME TO GO AND WHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO GO. I WOULDN'T TRADE THIS LIFESTYLE OF separation for any in this world. >> Take this whole world, but give me Jesus. I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold. I'd rather have Jesus than riches untold. OH, THERE'S NOT ENOUGH FAME AND FORTUNE. THERE'S NOT enough lights. Oh my God. I love you, JESUS. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. I LOVE THIS LIFE. DON'T YOU FEEL SORRY FOR ME. I'M LIVING MY BEST LIFE NOW. >> He brought me out to bring me in. I want to spend the rest of my message. Just give me a few more minutes. But I want to preach about the life on the other side of the Jordan because it is not God's will for us to spend 40 years in the wilderness. Romans 14:17 says, "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but let me tell you what the kingdom is." Let me tell you what Canaan land is. It's righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. And if you're not facing and you don't feel peace and joy, if you're not living righteous, I PROMISE YOU, you don't have the Holy Ghost. When I preach about living in Canaan, I'm preaching a picture of WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO BE A PART OF THE kingdom of God. Look at WHAT IS OFFERED IN THIS LIFE. I WANT SOME RIGHTEOUSNESS. I want peace. And oh, I want joy because joy belongs in the life that he's brought us into. Colossians 1:13, I opened up by reading the scripture. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and hath translated or transferred us into the kingdom of his dear son. Here it is again. He delivered us from and brought us into. We've been transferred from the kingdom of this world into the kingdom of God. You have told everybody what you used to be AND WHO USED TO HAVE YOU. IT'S TIME WE START TELLING PEOPLE WHO HAS US NOW. I've got so much more to testify than WHAT I LEFT BEHIND. I'M TESTIFYING what the Lord has done for me lately. Let me TELL YOU ABOUT THE NEW LIFE UH THAT JESUS HAS GIVEN ME. I FEEL YOU, LORD, AND I'M THANKFUL, LORD GOD, THAT YOU STILL EMPOWER ME WITH YOUR SPIRIT. UH I'M SO THANKFUL MY SUNDAY OVERFLOWS INTO MY MONDAY. I'M SO THANKFUL, OH GOD, THAT YOU GIVE ME PEACE AND JOY AND YOU GIVE ME VICTORY. The Holy Ghost shouldn't go MIA when the service is over tonight. If Jesus, and I know he's going to meet you in THE ALTAR, YOU OUGHT TO TAKE him home with you because SUNDAY'S JOY HAS GOT TO BE Monday's testimony. John 15:11 says, "These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you and THAT YOUR JOY MIGHT BE." >> Come on, SOMEBODY. IT MIGHT BE. >> THERE IS A JOY THAT'S IN A LIFE THAT IS SOLD OUT TO GOD. IT'S NOT JUST A JOY. IT'S A JOY THAT'S FULL. I WANT TO BE FILLED WITH JOY. IT'S NOT ENOUGH THAT I'M HAPPY. IT'S NOT ENOUGH THAT MY DAYS ARE GOING GOOD. I WANT TO BE FILLED WITH JOY AND JOY OVERFLOWING. >> PASTOR, PREACH ABOUT IT THIS MORNING. WOO! Heaven is my ultimate destination. However, on this road to glory, uh here in Canaan, EVEN WITH BATTLESHU, WE'RE STILL GOING TO FACE GRIEF. UH WE'RE STILL GOING TO HAVE DIFFICULT DAYS. BUT LISTEN TO PAUL DESCRIBE us in the middle of trouble. HE SAYS IN ROMANS 8:37, "NAY, ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US." HE SAID IN ALL OF THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE than conquerorshuh. HE BROUGHT ME OUT FOR MORE THAN SIMPLE SURVIVAL. I cannot be content WITH SIMPLY SURVIVING. BUT THROUGH JESUS I CAN LIVE WITH JOY, WITH PURPOSE AND WITH VICTORY. EVEN WHEN I'M FACING OPPRESSION, EVEN WHEN I'M FACING OPPOSITION, EVEN WHEN I'M FACING GIANTS IN MY LIFE, UH I'M STILL LIVING IN A LAND flowing with milk AND HONEY. UH AND I CAN OVERLOOK SOME THINGS UH AND I CAN FIGHT SOME THINGS UH AND I CAN FLEE FROM SOME THINGS UH IN ORDER TO ENJOY THIS LIFE THAT I'm living. >> Isaiah 12 and 3 says, "Therefore with joy SHALL YOU DRAW WATER OUT OF THE wells of salvation." WITH JOY. COME ON, SOMEBODY. WE'RE GOING TO USE JOY TO DRAW WATER OUT OF THE WELLS OF SALVATION. IT'S THE JOY OF THE LORD THAT IS our strength. Joy, my God, don't leave this place without joy. But let me take you to a place called Gilgal. The Jordan River is behind the children of Israel. They've made it through the Jordan River. They've they've crossed into the promised land. And there in Canaan, they keep the Passover. Look with me in Joshua 5 and 10. I'm almost finished, but Joshua 5 and10 it says, "And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal and kept," watch this right here, "they kept the Passover on the 14th day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho." Now, you remember what the Passover was? The Passover is what they got them out of Egypt. It was something they they they they oh my God they celebrated it because they understood. We got to always remember. We always got to remember that God brought us out. This Passover celebration, it reaches back to the night that God delivered us out of Egypt. The blood of the lamb, the mercy of God, the deliverance of his people, they still celebrated. They still remembered what God had brought them out of. BUT THIS TIME THEY'RE CELEBRATING INSIDE WHAT GOD BROUGHT them into. >> DO YOU SEE THAT? THAT EVERY OTHER TIME THEY CELEBRATED THE PASSOVER, IT WAS ALWAYS IN A HOPES that they would be brought into something. But right now in verse number 11, we read, "And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the marorrow after the Passover, 11 cakes and parched corn in the selfsame day. AND THE MANA CEASED ON THE marorrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land, neither had the children of Israel mana anymore." Watch this right here. But they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year. For years, God had led them in the wilderness, but now they're eating the food from Canaan. Woo! BACK AT THE BORDER, SPIES CARRYING THE fruit for the people to look at. BUT HERE IN GILGAL, THE PEOPLE are eating FROM THE LAND FOR THEMSELVES. THEIR TESTIMONY NOW INCLUDES WHAT GOD HAS BROUGHT US INTO. IT WASN'T JUST WHAT GOD HAD BROUGHT THEM OUT OF, BUT NOW IT'S WHAT GOD BROUGHT THEM INTO. THEY'RE CELEBRATING SAYING, "THANK GOD HE BROUGHT ME OUT OF A MIGHTY CLAY." BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. HE SET MY FEET ON A ROCK TO STAY. I WISH SOMEBODY JUST GIVE HIM PRAISE RIGHT HERE. WHEN YOU THINK OF WHAT HE'S BROUGHT YOU TO, WE PRAISE HIM ALL THE TIME WHEN HE'S BROUGHT US FROM. BUT I WISH YOU BEGIN TO PRAISE HIM WHEN HE'S BROUGHT YOU TO UH WHO AM I THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF ME? WHO AM I THAT I'M HERE TONIGHT, OH GOD, AND I HAVE YOUR HOLY GHOST LIVING ON THE INSIDE OF ME? UH, WHO AM I THAT I'VE LEFT THE SIN BEHIND AND I'VE BEEN BAPTIZED IN YOUR NAME FOR THE REMISSION OF MY SINS? UH, I THANK GOD FOR WHAT YOU BROUGHT THE CHURCH TO. I THANK GOD WHAT YOU'RE DOING THROUGH THE church today. Listen, when the children of Israel came over the Jordan, >> I want you to see this right here. God gave the priest very specific instruction. He said, "I want you to take the ark and I want you to take a step into the water." And you got to see this because they began to step with the Tony. THEY TOOK A STEP INTO THE JORDAN BEFORE THE JORDAN ever moved out of their way. And I got to believe there had to be something inside of them that had welled up because I don't believe without faith those priests ever would have attempted to take that first step. But because of their faith and because they had the ark of God, the presence of God resting ON THEIR SHOULDER AS THEY TOOK THAT FIRST STEP. 40 YEARS OF WANDERING BECAME ERASED AS THEY WALKED INTO A PROMISED LAND. AS THEY TOOK THAT FIRST STEP, I BELIEVE SOMEBODY IN THIS ROOM NEEDS TO take a first step in your walk with God. You came here tonight and you thought to yourself, I don't even know why I'm going to this crazy Pentecostal church. Uh I've heard they're crazy worshippers. I've heard they do great. They wave their hands and they dance and shout. Their kids run the aisles. there. The adults run the aisles. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen, but something's drawn me. I promise you, I KNOW YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND OUR WORSHIP AND YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND OUR PRAISE, BUT YOU IF YOU'LL JUST TAKE THE FIRST STEP INTO THE JORDAN, IF YOU'LL TAKE THE FIRST STEP INTO THIS ALTAR TONIGHT, I PROMISE YOU, YOUR LIFE WILL BE CHANGED FOREVER BECAUSE NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE DELIVERED OUT OF STUFF, BUT HE'S GOING TO BRING YOU INTO THE PROMISED LAND. YOU CAN HAVE A WALK WITH GOD. UH YOU CAN HAVE A PRAYER LIFE. UH YOU CAN CARRY A COIN UPON YOUR LIFE. UH IF YOU'LL JUST SURRENDER AND ALLOW GOD TO DO SOMETHING GREAT THROUGH YOU. Stand to your feet with me tonight. I'm almost finished. Oh my God. Uh I just believe tonight there's somebody that's so hungry. Uh and I know you've been celebrating your deliverance out of Egypt. UH BUT GOD HAS so much more for you. He wants to see you do uh great and mighty things. Uh he wants to see your ministry flourish. I believe every person in this room ought to have a ministry. >> Got to GET OUT OF OUR HEADS THAT only preachers and only elders only trustees. They're the ones that have ministries. Only Sunday school teachers, only only youth leadersh. They're the ones that have ministry singers and musicians. Oh no, no, no, no. Every single one of us HAS NOT ONLY BEEN CALLED OUT, BUT we've been called into something. And God is looking for each and EVERY ONE OF US TO BE A disciple maker. >> The reason WHY WE BRING HUNDREDS OF people all across this country into this place of worship uh or from movement conference. The reason is is because we are a part of a disciplem movement. We love people. We want to see people saved. We want to see them delivered. But we also want to disciple them so they can also be a disciplemaker. Listen, let me just let me just preach an announcement. We're getting ready to start here. I think I think it's in January. We're getting ready to start another disciplehip class. And on the front of the book, it's thick. I don't know. It's it's 290 pages thick. I think there's 22 lessons on Christian living and doctrine. But on the front of that, it says, "This book is for the teacher and the student because it's not good enough for the teacher to have a teacher's manual. We want the students to have a teacher's manual because it's not good enough that you just show up to the class. You got to show up to the class with one idea in mind. And that is when you learn it, you're going to go share it. When you learn it, you can't help but to get out in the community and get to your workplace and you can't wait to help your coworker and let them understand this is what it's like to live for God. This is what it's like to be a Christian. This is what it's like UH TO BE A PART OF THE kingdom of God. Oh my God. If we can get beyond deliverance and we can get to a place we realize that God is calling us to SOMETHING AND HE'S CALLING us into something. God, I believe there's promises that you have already promised the people under the sound of my voice tonight. People who have been losing sleep at night because they KNOW THAT YOU'RE TRYING TO GET THEM TO DO SOMETHING, BUT THEY JUST haven't done it yet. God, I pray right now they'll take a step and they'll step INTO THIS ALTAR JUST like the priest stepped into the Jordan. UH AND LORD GOD, BY FAITH, UH THEY'LL JUST BELIEVE THAT YOU'RE about to bring them into something, God, and they're going to be able to do some miraculous things. Uh and there are going to be A BELIEVER THAT SIGNS AND MIRACLES and wonders are going to begin to follow them. Come on, every head bowed, every eye closed in this place. Is there anybody under the sound of my voice that you're thankful that you've been delivered, but you're ready to say, "God, I'm ready to take the next step. Oh my God, because you're about to deliver me into something. You're about to do something with my life, oh God, that I've never experienced before. You're about to show me, LORD GOD, A MINISTRY, Lord God, that I've never taken part in. But God, I just believe you're going to HELP ME. I BELIEVE, LORD GOD, THAT I'M here for a purpose for such a time as this. Oh, come on. I believe there's more than two people that want to see the ministry. I believe there's more than three people that want to see the ministry. Come on, saint of God. Right here, can you just say, "God, I have enough faith to believe. It's not my might. It's not my power, but it's yours, oh God, it's by your spirit, oh God, that you give me the power, Lord God. is not by my wisdom. It's not by MY KNOWLEDGE. BUT GOD, YOU'RE DELIVERING ME into something. You've given a promise, OH GOD, AND I receive it right here because your promises are yay and amen. And that simply means that you're a promisekeeper. And whatever you promised, you're faithful to SEE IT THROUGH. YOU'RE faithful to fulfill it in my life. Oh, come on, somebody. I'm not calling you to preach. I'm not calling you to a microphone ministry. I'm just simply saying there's people around you that you can touch with your life and you can help them BE A DISCIPLE. YOU can help them. Oh my god. There's hurting. There's broken. There's marriages that need to have somebody to step into their life and say, "You can do it. You can make it. You can make it another year. You can make it another year. You don't have to give up. Uh God can do something through you. God can choose to make you whatever he wants to make you. Come on, just pray the prayer with me right now. Say, "God, I'll be what you want me to be. I'll do what you want me to do. I surrender. I surrender. I Oh, I lift you both of my hands. You gave me chance after chance after chance. And I >> >> I'm giving all that I am. You gave me I chance after Heat. Heat. for you. I'm just grateful for you. I'm just waiting for you. You just wait for you. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. I'm g you say I say I keep me on your mind. I just for you right here. I'm just grateful for you. I'm just grateful for who am I. I'm just grateful for you. I'm just grateful for you. Grateful for you. I just got grateful for you. God, I'm just grateful for you. I'm all right. If they say my God, I'm just grateful for you. >> I'm just I'm just grateful for you. >> Yes. Could we all lift our hands and give God the praise for the joy that we have inside of our hearts? Can we lift our hands and give God the praise for the privilege? This great privilege to know this great God. Oh, can we just praise him right now tonight for the privilege that we know this great God? How privileged that we are to be born into the kingdom of God. Amen.
