student part as far as the acting and the songs that go with that were all written by Collective and all written here by our our songwriters and and and all the scripts and the I think sister flry was the she was the rapist she she was she she she listen y'all I promise you I mean it's it's like just I I couldn't pass the doors I just stood I was like oh my word uh so I promise you Sunday night uh Children's Choir Sanctuary choir uh ACA everything is going to be absolutely amazing make make sure you get somebody here with you all right amen look good to see everyone just looking around what a great crowd of people in the house all the kids have left us all the parents are like ah yeah come on I know listen I know I remember that feeling that feeling of okay the kids are in Kids Quest kids groups we're good to go well let's just take just a few minutes and I I believe the Lord has giving me something for for everyone in this room because there's not a soul here tonight that I'm not not get to get to hit with this word just a little bit turn in your Bibles with me to Ecclesiastes chap 3:1 and just kind of keep keep it open because we're going to we're going to kind of hit uh this whole chapter at least half this chapter uh but again as Pastor Nolan said I'm I'm so thankful for the Carpenters I'm so thankful for uh the opportunity uh that they get to uh be in Chile and that Chile our our great church our great uh it's not just a church it's a organization of Chile um is going to be able to be blessed that's their General Conference and they put on well last year my wife and I we had some of us from the church go they put on an amazing conference um some of the greatest singers and musicians uh and preachers that you're going to hear in all in all the world are right there in Chile and uh Santiago they're they're going to have a great time so pray for the Carpenters pray that God would just uh not only anoint them but protect them I told them ASA I told them whatever you do I say keep your backpacks on you don't leave your backpack in the car amen if if you want to come back to the car and have your belongings and not lose about $10,000 with equipment like brother ASA did keep your backpacks on you and at all times and Pastor said uh he said I I need to do that already I said all right all right all right I said all right we we got we got the message but he's God's going to protect them and going to give them great Revival uh quickly in your hearing eclesiastes 3 And1 says to every there's a season and a time to every purpose under Heaven um that that that first three words right there to everything I I looked that up and I thought you know what's the definition of thing thing is simply an object or a circumstance that one need not cannot or does not wish to give a specific name to has anybody ever been through a thing is anybody going through a thing right now maybe something you didn't wish to or you don't wish to be a part of um man listen I just got to thinking and I I pray when I pray for a message I pray to God say God help me just get me in the vein of where people are living because I could get up here and just just teach or preach something some flowery and nothing wrong preach on faith nothing wrong preach on love and joy and but sometimes we just need to hear preaching and teaching from where we're living and I got to thinking about people who have lost loved ones this week last week people have loved ones who have cancer and have diseases in their body and sickness in their body and people I've heard even people have have lost their jobs recently I got to think you know what we need to bring to this Pulpit something I said God let me bring something that's going to bless somebody in a way to give hope all right to everything there's a season to everything there's a time or or or or better yet there's a time limit to everything there's a purpose I just want to teach in your hearing this evening simply necessary Seasons necessary seasons why don't you put your Bibles down let's just pray a prayer before before we get started father Lord we're going to study your word we're going to study Lord God this this concept of seasons and Lord how how how you brought to us oh God the idea that there's Seasons we're going to have to live through that we're going to have to survive through there's be Seasons we're going to enjoy and there's going to be Seasons Lord God where we grow and Lord there's there's rapid growth in our life but God I'm just believing tonight Lord there's somebody here tonight that I don't know if they've had a spirit Lord God of depression or a spirit that makes some want to give up or give in but Lord as Pastor Nolan preached Lord we're still here oh we're still standing Lord God we're holding on with everything we are and we're going to realize and recognize tonight that you're putting us through certain Seasons to get us to the next season Lord God where we're going to be blessed through your word and in your kingdom Lord I pray in Jesus name anoint me God anoint every ear that hears this word and let it go to our hearts and Lord I believe if it'll go to our hearts Lord God it'll change our lives come on if you believe that would you clap your hands with me come on would you just love the Lord with me would you give him honor and Glory let's do his name tonight father we love you oh we bless you in this place tonight oh God and we thank you Lord God for always bringing us through and always seeing us through Lord God in Jesus name everyone shout amen amen you may be seated Amen in the house continue reading with me look keep on uh we're going to kind of read down through this this is just a uh a great reminder of seasons of of the necessity of of Seasons let's start with verse one again to everything there's a season and every and a time to every purpose under Heaven a time to be born a time to die a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted A Time to Kill a time to heal a time to break down and a time to build it up a time to weep A Time To Laugh A Time to mourn a time to dance a time to Cast Away stones and a time to gather Stones together there's a time to embrace a time to refrain stop embracing time to get a time to lose a time to keep a time to Cast Away verse S says a time to Rend and then there's a time to sew a time to keep silence and a time to speak a time to love a time to hate a time of war and a time of peace and then skip down to verse 11 and here it is again he hath made every thing beautiful in his time these are these are necessary Seasons listen to the words Jesus spoke to his mother while attending the wedding in canaa uh Cana and Galilee we we we know this as Jesus's first miracle but but I'm sure you know the story well enough to know it wasn't supposed to be Jesus's first miracle he was just attending he he was he was with the disciples I think his mother his mother was the wedding weding directress and uh she had said hey Jesus I need you to come uh get the boys you've been hanging out with and and bring them with you and we just got some work to do I need you to help me set up the wedding um and if if you've ever been uh uh setting up weddings or or waiting tables and at receptions to weddings you you kind of know the work that's involved and and in John 2 and4 um Mary says to Jesus says hey I need you to um to a miracle here because we have some some some wine shortage and we're about to have an embarrassing bride and groom and I need you uh uh to to to do that stuff you do now I obviously and this is so interesting to me because we have no recorded Miracles before this but obviously Mary must have seen Jesus in action somewhere somehow for her to understand that that he could actually turn water to wine but but I but I look right here in John 2:4 it say Jesus says back to her says woman what have I to do with thee he said my hour is not yet come and brother Josh I know that at the beginning of this verse right here I kind of get stuck on the first word because I just know that if I ever said woman to my mother whether I was 15 or or 35 I probably get the same same reaction um but brother Roger clay I was I was reminded of a story and and for all you that don't know one of our uh one of our trustees brother Roger CLA he he he's been a trustee of this church for I don't know for a good Century or so he's way down low uh I don't know it was sometime right after Noah came over on the ark uh they put brother Roger in as a trustee and to to this day especially when I start hearing stories about how brother Roger was back in the day like I don't even understand like the word trust is in the word trustee it just I don't it's crazy but but but let me just tell you a story in all reality let me tell you a story um so my wife was not my wife she's probably found was probably eight or nine 10 years old and uh she she's not in here is she perfect okay listen you all I have seen videos like like VHS videos of my wife when she was eight or nine she was so sassy like you and I'm like I saw I saw her opening Christmas gifts on a Christmas one time and she was opening gifts and she was saying oh this is from Walmart 9.99 like she like I'm like watching this with her and I'm like oh my word so and I would have said that if she was in here but she's not in here so apparently brother amons I I'll go look over the am because they remember this stuff apparently you know you know she was she was the first child a little bit strong willed at times and um brother Roger would try to give her good advice such as he would tell her Fallon now when your dad when your dad dad is about to spank you look in his eyes and say daddy look me in the eye and brother Roger sure enough it worked and and you know brother Carpenter he just couldn't do it and I know I've got all daughters I know what that feels like it's hard but sister Carpenter that look in my eyes thing didn't work for sister Carpenter so apparently Fallon went back to brother Roger and and explain to brother Roger okay it's working for Dad it's not working for Mom and so so brother Roger said you got to show her who boss and his exact words were when she's about to spank you you look at her and say woman my wife tells me a story and and she says I I can't remember anything else that happened that day like total Amnesia from that point on I don't know what happened but it didn't work but let's look let's look hey baby I love you baby I give honor to my wife tonight what are y'all laughing at he said okay Jesus said let's get off Roger we're done with what Roger says let's let's get back on Jesus Jesus said mine hour he said is not yet come so we got we got to see right here that Jesus made it very clear that his season of ministry was not ready to begin yet we we understand that right he there was obviously a season there was a time when it was the perfect will that he was going to get started but but Mom Mother Mary she kind of got in the way and kind of got things rolling but but Jesus let me tell you something Jesus do you yall know that he did what she told him to do right because what what obedience is better than no no no obedience is better than getting whooped by your mother when you're 30 years old right Jesus was just like okay he's like boys get the surface let's grab some water pot and and we're going to get this water turned to Wine but here we go his beginning the the definite beginning of his ministry was changed because he was brought from one season into another sometimes seasons can come by surprise sometimes seasons can catch us off guard however when we get surprised when we get caught off guard we got to recognize that God has a purpose for every one of our Seasons right matter of fact look look with me in Genesis 1 verse1 14 we go all the way back we go all the way back to creation and God said let there be lights in the firment of the heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years so from the very beginning beginning of Genesis beginning of creation God was setting forth Seasons he's already trying to get it into the Mind from the very nature itself trying to show us there's going to be seasons of Life due to these climate Seasons there are corresponding Behavior Seasons God's word explains it right here he said there's going to be a season to plant and there's going to be a season to harvest those two seasons simply cannot be exchanged you cannot Harvest before you plant everything has to come at a certain time you can't plant in the fall because the cold weather's coming nothing nothing's going to Bud nothing's going to grow everything's going to die in the cold nothing can Sprout nothing can mature nothing can bear fruit why because winter is coming so he's put seasons and certain things have to happen in certain Seasons or it just will not work I remember growing up in Upstate New York I I've got such fond memories of New York and um come fall time believe it or not where I lived it it was just as beautiful where I lived as it is here in the fall um matter of fact um in some cases there was more Beauty because we had these oak trees that had that had oak leaves that were this big and when those things turned colors it was mindblowing on the fingerlakes we had we had we we we lived right on a couple right between a couple of the fingerlakes that were only about 15 miles apart from another it beautiful we had Rolling Hills and and and the foilage in the fall Autumn season was beautiful but even at that time we knew we understood winter is coming and as beautiful as fall is winter is coming and and I will say this listen and it's stuff that our kids don't have a clue about I I remember uh I remember um making igloos out of snow banks that were that were 15 20 feet high in the air from parking lots who had been uh that they plowed snow and push snow in the in the snow drifts uh to where we could dig through and make tunnels and uh man snowball fights and and and uh uh snow skiing we love we did cross country we did downhill uh snowmobiles uhhh snowball fights everything that goes along with winter was amazing but come March and April when the snow is still on the ground come March and April when you're like when is the snow going to melt when is it going to stop snowing when is it going to get above where I'm ready to take this coat off right by the time here we are down in in the Garden of Eden down here by the time man we're already wearing short sleeves and it's feeling beautiful out and the sun everything's starting to Spring forth and everything's starting to Bud and flowers it's still we still had snow and and the sun didn't come out during the winter time it was always gloomy got dark early there there there was a there there was a lot there was a lot of depression that went on up north and and some of you I I know we got a lot of people from Illinois and in Northern Illinois that that remember how that is even living on one of the Great Lakes and the lake affects snow and everything you deal with and and and even you may not realize but there's a spirit of depression that starts to break out and until the sun comes out and all of a sudden you realize oh my word I feel so much better I didn't even realize that all this time there was a longing inside of me for a season change and and it's not just in nature but people also experience the changing of seasons Every life passes through seasons and those seasons can be diverse a summer to a winter and the most the most obvious demonstration of seasons can be seen in in in in in the aging process right right you you start off in childhood we have names for it childhood and then adolescence and then young adult we go into child rearing people that are that are raising families and then uh over time you become empty nesters and then you go into the retirement years of life we have all these different all these different these different seasons of life and and there're just labels again for seasons of Life each of these periods bring brings on its own challenges and sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad you it's funny to me cuz the younger wish they were older and the older wish they were younger isn't that interesting all all our life we kind of go through this whole man if I could just make it to the next season if I could just turn 13 and get in the choir man if I could just turn 18 and graduate from high school man if I could just go back to high school that's how that works right you move all the way out of high school and then you're like oh if I could just go back into high school again right or you go to college and I'm oh I'm so sick of studying I'm so sick of of term papers if I could just get out of school if I could just graduate and then you get a real job and you start have to work real hours and you're like man those papers don't look so bad and man living in the dorm and not having all these bills and oh my goodness right it it seems like every season we go into we're looking for the next season or we're looking to go back to the season we just got out of but the the psalmist wrote and this is this is seasons are God's design the psalmist wrote in Psalm 37:25 he said I have been young and now am old yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread he simply saying I've gone through all these Seasons but what I can say is I've never seen the righteous forsaken I've never seen the righteous begging for bread I I thank God that through every season whether it's a high season or a low season whether it's a season we enjoy or a season we can't hardly stand I thank God that he's always been beside us he's always been with us he's always seen us through amen there there'll be days in the individual's life when circumstances seem positive man I'm thankful for good health right now I'm thankful for good health I'm thankful that that that I I just I had my physical not too long ago and the doctor said hey everything's normal everything looks good all your numbers look good and gave blood and all that stuff and they sent all my labs in and everything looks good I'm thankful for that but you know what I can't be promised this season for a long time I H you know material prosperity and harmonious relationships I love my family man where everybody's everybody's together we we're not promised to stay in a season you know in those Seasons you might have laughter and that's a that's a good thing and and you know oh rejoicing we're expected to Rejoice during the good times but then we go through times of adversity and and seasons and oh listen there's some Seasons where where we just don't know where the light at the end of the tunnel is if there's ever going to be a light at the end of the tunnel but I love what the Bible clearly states in Psalm 34:19 the righteous endure many afflictions to be righteous that's part of being righteous we got to endure even in afflictions years ago I I visited one of our trenders in the hospital and I'll be honest she caught me off guard a little bit I prayed for and and before I left the room she said brother I got one question for you she said do you think that God is punishing me for something she says I'm sure people are sick and tired of asking me how I'm doing and I I got to thinking and and I I said back to her I said listen you got to remember God's serving job you you got to remember the Bible says he was perfect and upright and oh my word we know with all he went through if you've never read the book of Job oh listen read the book of Job you'll feel so good about your life I don't it doesn't matter what you're going through you will feel you you'll be on top you'll be on cloud nine if you start to read what all happened to job I'm talking about the horrible things the death that took place in his family and and all and losing everything until even his body when when when when Satan was allowed to touch his body and the boils that came up on his flesh that itched so bad and was so irritated that he took pot broken pottery and would scrape the boils off his body I'm talking he he had everything come against him but here he is the Bible once again says he was perfect and upright the importante thing to remember is all seasons are temporary laughter today doesn't guarantee us we won't be in sorrow tomorrow we won't have tears tomorrow in uh Psalm 305 I think God for this Psalm because we can quote it says weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning what does that mean that simply means there is going to be a season of Darkness there's going to be a season H you know as I as I was getting prepared for this I began to think over seasons in in in our life F and and and and and you know as as a Ministry and as pastors it's our it's our it's our job we we're supposed to have it all together let me just be honest with you our role is to go and pray for people and minister to people and help people and encourage people and give hope to people but it just so happens there's times where we're humans we're people things happen to us and and and I think it was it was it was brother osbor or somebody preached one time who encourages the encourager right and and I I began you know and you've heard the story I might tell it just quickly but uh we had Paris and man we we had just a just a young young three-year-old I believe she was about three at the time and fell and I decided you know what it's it's about time to have another child you know you can only have that only child for so long thought that girl needs that girl needs a sibling that's what I'm talking about okay listen is Paris in here good okay so Paris yeah I can talk if they're not here I can talk about listen you all if you just met her in the last five years she is the most precious laidback sweet I have so many of y'all come talk to me say your daughter par she is so sweet I'm like I know but you don't you didn't know her and even now listen she will she will like get on to her sisters I'm like Paris don't you get out of your sisters you were just you were worse and and she can't even fathom it I mean I mean she can't even fathom it and I get it because because she's like a perfect child me now but when she was about three my wife and I were like we've got we've got to have another child um we got to take some pressure off the only child so um sure enough boom man we were so excited child number two uh it was about the time to go in to find out the gender we were so excited and and uh it wasn't I don't know how many how many weeks in do you think we were baby the first one 13 weeks or so and and uh started getting complications and and going to the doctor and and finding out that that looking for a heartbeat and and don't feel the movement we should be feeling and uh of course you know you know the devastation uh many of you have miscarried and many of you have have lost have have lost a child within you and it was a horrible just just the oh oh God we went through we went through a such just such a hard period of time and and and you all understand what that what that is and what that means and but but you know what we are blessed and and all of a sudden we found out we're pregnant again but this time we're pregnant with twins and and all that sorrow went away and we were so excited and man but it wasn't it was wasn't just a few weeks and lost the heartbeat of one and and we thought well at least we have the second one and and lost the heartbeat of that one and and once again Devastation losing losing two more and and we thought everything was great our first pregnancy uh everything was just normal everything happened perfectly like it should happen nothing was wrong never had one ounce of issues with anything and now here we have lost three and and uh Devastation I I can't even I can't tell you oh just just the heart and and and during that time we we didn't miss any Services baby I don't think you miss one service during that time she was up here playing the keyboard PE people probably had no idea we were preaching leading the choir we we were we were administrating School we're doing everything that we always did but we were in the season let me tell you something we were in a season I mean we're talking oh the the the chemical imbalances and the hormones everything that happens when that goes when a woman goes through that we were we were struggling and suffering oh it was it was turmoil it was sadness it was heartbreaking but we just kept on praying to you know what what do you do what do you do when you're in that kind of season well we do what we've been taught to do we just keep on doing what we've always done we just keep on coming to church we just we just keep on putting God first we just keep on saying God we believe in you God we trust in you God we have hope in you God if this doesn't happen the way we think it ought to happen if we're only going to be blessed with one daughter and we can never have any more children if that's what it's going to happen happen that's just the season we're going to have to live through but that Psalm right there it says it so well well let me let me let me read a song let me read a song that my wife wrote during this time because this I was I was remembering this song today and and it was deing I believe it was it was right after she had lost the twins that that she she she got a pen and paper and she began to write this song and wrote the whole song out at one time she said confused heartbreaking my world is shaken you should hear the conversation in my brain it's complicated uh I'm so frustrated but I can hear you whisper through the pain the course went your voice is bigger than my loneliness bigger than my awful mess louder than the words of doubt I hear God you speak right to me you tell me that you love me the enemy keeps talking in my ear but that doesn't matter because your voice is bigger the thing that we didn't want to come and we didn't want to name that thing or even acknowledge it was going to pass but we had to fight our way through it but all the mour came and joy came in the morning in the name of Windsor Kate and if you know Windsor Kate listen she is our joy that girl oh my word is she in here listen she is brother Zach she is the funniest listen if you ever watch how her and her uncle Zach oh my word I mean she's crazy and she has brought so much joy to our life I'm talking about we look back at all that pain that season of pain we went through God just has a way of putting something in he brings us to the next season and listen listen you you never forget the pain that you had you it's not it's not that you want to forget about losing you the loved ones may maybe you had a parent that passed away or a child that passed away or or a sibling or a best friend that passed you never forget them but God has a way of bringing you out of that season and then bringing Joy so much joy that you say God where would I be without listen you got to fight your way through Seasons you just got you got to keep you got to keep on fighting you you got to keep on saying God I know this is not my will but God is your will let your will be done weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning seasons have listen seasons have value even if we struggle to see it we got to live through them God's purposes are so much higher than ours he he is accomplishing things for us listen and and and I go in and listen I'm agre Green in my real colors I'm a green and it it makes me think sometimes of of of God if you would have given us that that second child we lost or the the twins that we lost if you would have given us those I guarantee we wouldn't have Windsor Kate today that that's that's that's that's just how I think I'm a thinker I think to myself if we would have had those listen sometimes you just got to step back and say God you have everything worked out perfectly God your ways oh your ways are perfect your your your ways are higher your thoughts are are so much greater than we can ever imagine but we can't resent and we can't resist Seasons they're going to change over time we just got to give them time to change have you ever seen someone try to fight the changing season of physical aging some of y'all way ahead of me listen I I I was through the channels the other day and I caught this reality show of this of this family who I'm not going to name and you wouldn't know them anyways because you don't watch this kind of show but I was on it Tyler just long enough to realize that they didn't know who they were either because there were there were mothers and grandmothers trying to look like they're in the same generation as their daughters and granddaughters I mean they had puffy eyebrows and puffy lips they could even talk right cuz her lips are so big their skin was stretch so tight nips and Tucks and twists and Tangles I thought to myself these people they're trying to fight seasons of life I mean who in their right mind looks at them and says that 7-year-old woman looks like she's 35 no nobody but somewhere along the line away they could not they could not realize that seasons are changing it's it's okay to mature I got gray on the sides of my hair I love it I consider it wisdom coming in I I look at at my gray head and white haired family in the house you're wise you're mature you've got your axe together and I'm thinking to myself it's coming in it's okay it's okay to grow grow old gracefully it's okay to understand who you are and who you're not my God stop fighting the change of seasons there's nothing wrong with moving from season to season Seasons listen seasons are necessary um resistance Seasons I I want to show you this real quick but resisting Seasons gets you in trouble for instance let's think about let's think about David the Bible talks about um there's a term referring to David where talks about I'm going to read here in a moment but talks about when kings go to war that's not we don't really understand that you know uh for us in our day and our age if we get attacked if America gets attacked or if we have to join in to protect another Nation it doesn't matter what season it is we're just going to do it but you got to understand that that in this day in this time you couldn't give up the Manpower in the field to go fight go fight a war so so the the men of the community the men of the city the men of the nation had to be plowing they had to be planting because if they didn't if they went off to war when they came back from war there would be no food so so they had to prepare so so you had those same Warriors they were farmers they were planting and then guess what those same warriors were also the ones that were going to harvest those fields because if they went to war during Harvest Time by the time they got back all the food would be rotten all the vegetables all the food would be rotten in the fields so there was a season there was a time when kings went to battle uh matter of fact it's right here in 2 Samuel 11:1 and it came to pass after the year was expired you see that right there the year was expired the Harvest has already been brought in the food is in the storehouse after the year was expired at the time when kings go forth to battle we find David oh beloved David David fought the season he should have went off the battle but but come on we know the story just kind of kind of lean into me a little bit so David stays back he's a man of war right we understand it wasn't it wasn't that he wasn't a warrior we we we know David David was a man of blood matter of fact later on when when he wanted to to build the temple for God God said no no you can't build the temple you're a man of blood you uh you're a man of war you got to let your son build a temple so David he should have went he could have went but instead he sent he sent off uh matter of fact let's let's look at it open your Bible say 2 Samuel 11:1 let's kind of read through this to understand uh what David should have done and what season he should have partook in but he decided to fight against the season and uh he rejected the season it came to pass after the years were expired at the time or the season when kings go forth to battle that David sent joab and his servants with him in All Israel and he destroyed the children of Ammon and besieged Rabbi everything seems to be going good this is good uh here's a problem but David Terri kind of hung back still at Jerusalem and it came to pass in the evening that David arose from off his bed walked upon the roof of his house the King's house house and and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself and the woman was very beautiful to look upon David sent inquired after the woman and one said is not this be Sheba the daughter of Elam the wife of Uriah the hittite is isn't this woman she's taken uh she's a another man's wife verse four and David sent Messengers and took her and she came in unto him and lay with her for she was purified from her uncleanness and she returned under her house and the rest of the story simply says and and explains that because David resisted the season here we have an issue because now we find out that the woman is expecting a child now we got problems because now David again he resisted the season when when kings go to battle he stayed back and and and I'm just going to assume I'm just going to assume that this may not have been the first time that David had had walked across his rooftop and had looked down across at his neighbor's wife I'm just assuming that I I'm assuming this was not the first time that basba had bathed in her bathtub on the roof I'm assuming that that David stay back for a reason David resisted the season for a reason right and so now all of a sudden because his refusal huh his refusal to go and to be a part of the season when kings go to battle now oh the moral of the story is huh now the greatest sin of his life has taken place and not only is he an adulter now but now he sends word to make sure that her husband is killed in battle adultery murder all these things take place because he refused and he resisted the season he should have been going into there there's a whole lot of lessons that can be learned from the story of course falling into temptation we know that's one lesson but the most basic and the one that is clearly stated in the text itself is that David never would have been there if if he had yielded to the season at hand instead other Seasons much worse Seasons let me tell you something much worse Seasons took place in David's life seasons of now would have to lose that child that bab that that child would have to die he goes and he fasts he he rents his clothes he he he he sits in ashes but it didn't matter listen let me tell you something we can force God to push us into Seasons that we never should have went into but because we refuse and we we fight Seasons that we should have went into oh God I don't want the outcome I don't want the outcome to be negative because I make the wrong choice in a season that I should be moving into who are we I tell you who we are we are the outcome of our decisions that's what we are the very the very journey of life the reason why we're here tonight is because of the decision that we made the seasons we've been through we're here tonight I I look at some of you who have moved into this church from other states and I I look and think to myself if you would have made other decisions early in your life you might not have never been here today but maybe something went haywire where you were and maybe you were about to lose your way in God and you just decided you know what I've got to get to a safe place I got to get to a place that can minister to me to minister to my family and here you are today and you say to yourself I wish that would have happened back then but if it would happen back then you wouldn't be here today but every decision we make every season we go through it's leading us down a path and the course that we are here today but after being confronted with sin Nathan the prophet he said man you got to pay for your sin you're going to have to go through some Seasons that you oh you're going to have to go through some Seasons you never thought you'd have to go through through and sure enough but is in this season Psalm 51 this is where David writes have mercy upon me oh God according to thy loving kindness according to the multitude of thy Tender Mercies blot out my transgressions Wash Me thoroughly from my iniquities and cleanse me from my sin for I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me this is where David realizes I have a merciful god I've got a merci father that even though I've resisted seasons and although I have sinned although I have fallen short his Mercy is Everlasting his Mercy is brand new every morning we come to realize that all seasons are under God's control in the natural world they come and go as commanded listen it's not it's not global warming that controls the seasons come on it's not the amount of hairspray that our Apostolic women use in their hair that controls the ozone it's not Elon Musk and his Rockets going up and blowing holes in the ozone and y'all see that this week that I read that in the news I was like oh my word Elon what are we going to blame on Elon I said everything everything is perfectly in God's hands gen 8:22 while the Earth remaineth sea time and harvest cold and heat summer and winter and day and night shall not cease experience has taught us the truth that God's counsel woo times and Seasons they come and cod to ful fulfill the purpose of God in our lives come on as God works to develop us us up spiritually he introduces circumstances ah preacher recently I'm not going to go into it but but how many know that favor ain't fair right favor ain't Fair it ain't man Joseph man here he is got the favor of daddy wearing the coat of many colors favorite son having dreams of everybody bowing down him having dreams everybody worshiping him having dreams of being the greatest in the family man he would have never believed that the very next season would have been slavery would have been being accused of being being forgotten in Egyptian prison but however the next season he moved into was being seated at the right hand of pharaoh right all these Seasons he went through woo they each season set in motion the next season they they produce seasons of prosperity then seasons of Brokenness seasons of servanthood and then seasons of leadership Seasons of Loneliness and then seasons of restoration and each season was a result of what God set in motion Romans 8:28 says and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God to them who are the called according to his purpose not our purpose everything is perfectly set in motion for his purpose what does he want to accomplish what is needed in the kingdom of God that's what's woo listen it the righteous man the man who's living righteous and living right if you live right everything is going to take place in your life according to his purpose it's going to work together for the good for his purpose stand to your feet with me Psalm 1 and3 says and he shall make thee like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season his Leaf also shall not wh wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper you see that right there faithfulness you be faithful to God and God will be faithful to you I love this song because this Psalm is living proof if I could just be like a tree planted by the river of if I could just have Deep Roots planted so God can use me in a season oh where I can bear fruit and prosper again why do you prosper because of the kingdom of God seasons will come and seasons will go in each of Our Lives that's a given we can no more stop them than we can stop the arrival of winter I don't care how much you don't like winter it doesn't matter it's going to get cold I I read I I read a a um a writing by by a man named Andrew Murray is a famous writer and he s he really summed this whole topic up beautifully listen listen real close he said first he brought me here it is by his will that I am in this straight place and in that fact I will rest okay he's going through something right here when he says a straight PL this is Old English to mean he's in he's in between a rock and a hard place he said but I know who brought me to this place and so therefore in that fact I will rest that's first he says next he will keep me here in his love and give me Grace to behave as his child that's first then next here's the next one then he will make the trial a blessing teaching me the lessons he intends me to learn and working in me the grace he means to bestow and then he says last in his good time he can bring me out again how and when only he knows so this is what he con concludes he says let me say I am here by God's appointment in his keeping under his training for his time oh I'm going to say it again he said let me say it again I am here by God's appointment in his keeping under his training for his time our responsibility is to keep that perspective as we enter into every season of life God help us remember oh God you placed me here oh God this is your your perfect will is for me to be where you want me to be it's not my will but it's your will team I need you to help me because I got to thinking about this song when I began to think about necessary Seasons the psalmist says so many times I've questioned certain circumstances or things I could not understand many times in Trials weakness blurred my vision oh my frustrations they get so I out of H come on Church testify with me oh but it's then I am reminded I've never been forsaken I've never had to stand the T alone as I look back at all the victories the spirit Rises up in me it is through the fire my weakness is made song Come On help us sing this right here he never promised that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to collide oh no no he never offered us victories without fighting but he said help would always come in time so just remember when you're standing in the valley of decision in the adversary says to give just hold on our Lord will show up and he will will take you through the fire again come on help me so many times I've questioned certain circumstances or things I thought I could never understand oh many times in Trials weakness blurred my vision oh through the fire my wing is yes M all yes he never a promise that the cross would not get heavy and the hill would not be hard to oh no no he never offer a s without F but he said help always come in time so just remember when you standing in the valley of deis and the the spirit says to give just hold on our Lord will show up and he will take you through the fire again I know within myself that I will surely perish but if I trust the hand of God you still the Flames again again he never promised that the cross would not get heavy on the hill would not be hard to C no no no but he never offered us victories without fighting but he said help would always come in time so just remember when you standing in the valley of division in the ADV there says to give it just hold on our Lord will show and he will take you through the fire again so just hold on our Lord will show and he will take you through the fire of yeah yes he will come on and thank him yes he will he'll take you to the next season he'll bring you out of this season come on by faith Praise Him in Advance praise him come on you can't rush God you can't make decisions for God all you can do is just keep on standing like Pastor noan said just keep on standing keep on fighting Keep On Believing uh a better day is coming uh Jo is coming in the morning time uh Joy is coming in the morning time uh weeping may endure for the night but joy joy joy he'll take you through come on let's just take about two minutes and just thank God for every season uh every trial he's brought you through uh every time in your life you the scars on his feet he still has a scar in his side but thank God he's alive he's well he's Victorious he has the keys the death hell and the grave victorious victorious victorious and that's how
