The book of 2 Corinthians chapter number four and verse number four. 2 Corinthians chapter number four and verse number four. This is what the devil wants to happen in this house today. Whom the God of this world hath blinded. Would you say blinded? Blinded. Blinded the minds of them which believe not. Lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them. That's what he wants to do today. And I want to show you what Jesus wants to do. Luke chapter number 24 and verse number 45. Chapter number 24 and verse number 45. Then open he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures. I'm so honored to get to preach this subject to you today. Cuz if it can do for you what it did for me, somebody's going to have their life transformed this morning. I want to preach to you very simply. Don't have a pretty title on this subject. What the Bible says about salvation. What the Bible says about salvation. Lift up your hands with me one more time all over this house. Come on. Front to back, side to side. Hallelujah. God, you're going to thunder in this house today. Come on. Somebody's going to get filled with the Holy Ghost today. I wish you lift up your hands. If there's somebody on your row right now that's not filled with the Holy Ghost, I wish you'd help me pray. Come on. Why don't you join up right where you're at? Well, why don't you join up right where you're at? God, help us today, Jesus. Fill somebody with the Holy Ghost today. Renew somebody in the Holy Ghost. Open up somebody's mind that they might see the scripture. They might see the gospel in a way that they've never seen it before. Come on, let's pray one more time. Come on. We're not going to stay here long. One more time. God, reveal your word to somebody today. Oh, God, reveal your word. Open up our minds today that we could see your word in a way we've never seen it before. Come on. Why don't you give the Lord one more hand clap of praise all over this house this morning? Hallelujah. Be seated this morning. Thank you so very much for standing today. You may not realize it this morning, but boy, we're in a battle today. We're in a battle. I know we judge everything based off of what we can see in the physical, but if we could see in the spiritual world the battle that is going on over you right now to try and to get you to not go where God is wanting to take you this morning, I think it would blow our minds. It's not a new fight, but it's been raging for thousands of years. In fact, from the Garden of Eden until now, the enemy has always had one primary goal, and that is this. To keep you blind from the truth. There is an enemy that would love nothing more than to keep you blind to what is going to go forth from this pulpit today. There is an enemy that would love nothing more than to hinder you and distract you from what the spirit is wanting to do in your life. But I believe the Holy Ghost is going to anoint us today. What do you think? Hallelujah. I believe God is going to give us the ability today to hear what he wants us to hear and to respond the way that he wants us to respond. I believe with all my heart, I believe it that the spirit of revelation is going to come in this house and there's going to be somebody that you've never seen it the way that God is going to reveal it to you today. It's going to be his glory that's going to come down and shine. As I preach today, I'm telling you, there is going to be a battle that's going to take place in your mind. It's going to be the spirit of this age versus divine revelation that's going to want to shine in your life. So many people are lost and will be lost because religion has convinced people that a watered down cheap message is all that is available today. The god of this world has used false preachers and false doctrine to blind the minds of churchgoers today, convincing them that they are okay to live in sin and to still be saved. The enemy has convinced our world that a relationship with God is nothing more than casually strolling to church a couple times a week and hearing a weak anemic message and going home and having absolutely nothing change. I want to preach to you that's not the gospel. That's blindness. Luke 24 said, "Then open he their understanding that they might understand the scripture." I'm telling you that's exactly what God is wanting to do in your life today. I don't just want you to see your sin this morning. I want you to see that there is a way to get you out of your sin. I don't just want you to see your failures today. I want you to realize that there is a way to get you out of your failures. I know the denomin but some of you have done it and there's been nothing that has changed. There's nothing different in your life. I'm preaching you there is still a message. There is still a gospel. There is still an experience that if you have it can take anybody and it can turn them around. Hallelujah. Oh yeah. It's no way to go through life without ever feeling the power of being forgiven. It's no way to go through life without ever feeling the power of your sins being washed away in a watery grave to the place where it's as if it never even happened. I'm telling you, heaven is hot on somebody's trail today. And I believe somebody's finally going to surrender in this house. What do you say, church? Hallelujah. Boy, it's so vital and important for my salvation and for your salvation that we're not just willing to take somebody's word. Isn't it something as important as my soul is today? The only part of me that is going to outlive my body that I'm willing to just take what somebody is saying to me and not even take time to make sure it lines up. I'm not going to be judged off of tradition. I'm not going to be judged off of what I thought the Bible said. I'm not going to be judged off of what some man told me that the Bible said. There is but one thing I'm going to be judged upon and that is the word of God. John 12 and 48 said it like this. He that rejectth me and receiveth not my words hath one that judgeth him the words that I have spoken. The thing that's going to judge me is the word of Jesus Christ. He said the same shall judge him in the last day. Jesus said, "You're going to be judged not by what anybody else told you, but what the word tells you." Therefore, it would be a really good idea on this Sunday morning for us to take just a few moments and see and study the word and see what it says. I'm telling you, you wouldn't take a job somewhere without talking and doing your research and making sure it's going to be a job that's going to fit your lifestyle and fit your family. We wouldn't move somewhere. We wouldn't go on vacation somewhere without researching and making sure that it's somewhere we're going to enjoy. I'm telling you, as long as eternity is, as important as it is, I cannot afford to just believe you and just take somebody's word. If they're telling me something that's not found in the word, I'm telling you, I better find a new preacher. If they're teaching me a doctrine that the word is contrary to, Hallelujah. I want to look very quickly for a few moments at what the Bible says. Ain't it wonderful? Ain't it wonderful that you don't have to be in a church where everything that goes forth from the pullpit is opinion. I'm not preaching in my authority because I really don't have no authority. The only authority I have is in the word of God. I did not come to preach to you this morning what I think, what I believe, what I see. I've come to preach to you just for a few moments about the authority of the word of God. Let me tell you one more time. You're not going to be judged upon what I'm telling you. You're not going to be judged upon what your grandmama told you. You're going to be judged upon the word of God. Come on. Is there anybody that believes that today? I'm still thankful for the word. Hallelujah. God has always given such clear instructions. Would you say clear instructions? It's plain. It's obvious. God did not make this a maze that we've got to fight through and find our way through. But when a soul is hungry, when a soul is desperate for God, I'm telling you, in one moment in a service like this, there's going to be divine revelation that's going to come to your mind. Come on. It's not going to be hard for you to understand. When you're hungry for it, when you're willing to say, "No matter what I've learned, no matter what I've taught, I want the spirit of God to help me." I promise you, God's going to open your mind today. Hallelujah. Man has never set the terms by which he finds salvation. It has always been God's job to give instruction and man's job to be obedient. There have always been and there will always be requirements if we want to be saved. God spoke to a man by the name of Noah. He said, "The entire world is full of sin. There's nothing redeemable about them. So, I'm getting ready. Send a flood. Wipe them off the face of the earth. But you have found grace in my sight." Ain't that wonderful, boy? I want to find grace in a sight. But ain't it something? Ain't it something that as soon as he tells him, "You found grace in my sight." He didn't just say, "Now, you just sit back and you just relax for about 120 years until it happens." And because you've been such a good man, you're going to be all right. But he said, "No, no, you're righteous. You found grace in my sight, but that don't mean you ain't got to do nothing. You've got to build an ark if you want to make it out of this world. Now, God immediately starts giving him the dimensions, giving him the material that he ought to use. God didn't also just say, "Well, if you do a little bit of work, if you build an ark, you're going to be okay." No. God told him exactly what to do and exactly how to do it. And because he followed the word of the Lord when the rain came, when the winds came, I'm telling you, that ark started lifting up off the face of the earth. Why? Because you had followed what the instruction said to do. I'm telling somebody in this househ, God has given you an instruction manual. God has given you a book. And if we'll do what it says. Hallelujah. Your preferences and my preferences this morning really have no merit and no impact upon what's going to work to get me saved today. I may wish all that I want that every person in this house if you'd say I confess and I believe that you could live however you wanted to live and do whatever you wanted to do and that you'd be okay. But I've got an instruction manual that tells me otherwise today was Rahab. She was when the spies came to Jericho, she opened the door. She hid them. She spared their life. And they said, "If you want to be saved, when the battle when the day begins, the day of battle comes, you need to take a scarlet thread and hang it out your window." Now, she didn't look at him and say, "Well, you know what? I really like blue better than red, you know. Hey, I mean, red's nice, but I actually have some purple here and it'd be a little bit more convenient. No, because her preferences had no impact upon what the word of the Lord said for her to do. My preferences today have to take a backseat to the word of the Lord. I don't want to take time give many more examples but every story in the Old Testament was pointing to one ultimate pattern the plan that would eventually come through Jesus Christ himself. Now, God did not have Noah go through what he went through and Rahab went through what she went through and the children of Israel go through what they went through. All so that we could just walk in today and have some easy belieism, cheap knockoff salvation. We don't get to decide how we are saved today. We've got to do what the book says. It breaks my heart. It saddens me today when I think about in America today that there are pastors that have walked to their pulpits and their congregations are full. There's thousands of people that are sitting in their pews and the message they are going to preach to them is this. This is the gospel. Jesus loves you unconditionally. And those that are there that are in sin and that are in bondage and those that are unbelievers and those that are idol worshippers. You know how they interpret that? God loves me. So why would I change? God loves me just how I am. It's unconditional. So why would I need to leave differently than the way that I came? They're going to sit in their pews and they're going to hear a message telling them that they don't have to repent and that they're fine to stay in bondage and stay in sin and that God loves them just how they are. There's no mention of the cross there. There's no mention of obedience or sacrifice. I'm telling you, if somebody has told you that you don't have to do anything but pray a sinner's prayer, I've got to preach to you. You've been sold nothing but a lie. That feels good to the flesh. Come on. I'm preaching to you. I don't want somebody to lie to me to make me feel good. I want somebody to tell me the truth. I want somebody to tell me what I need to do. And the truth is this. He loves me, but he loves me too much to leave me where I am. He loves you, but he loves you too muchh for you to stay in sin. Let's pray in this house right now. Come on, lift up your hands. Come on. Come on. He didn't die on a cross so you can live in sin and call it grace today. Come on. I've come today to buck against the ideologies that's been being pushed in our world. He didn't die on a cross so I could stay dead in trespasses and sin. He did it so I could be free. They say this is the gospel. This is the good news. Jesus loves you. Now let me tell you that that is part of the gospel. First Corinthians chapter number 15 verse number one. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel. Everybody say the gospel. Goel. So this is going to be very important. The gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein ye stand. By which also are ye saved. So you're saved by the gospel, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I received. We're still talking about the gospel. How that Christ died for our sin according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according to the scripture. So he has just clearly and plainly laid it out for us today. The gospel is not just that Jesus loves you unconditionally, but that he loves you so much that he was willing to die, be buried, and to rise again from the dead. Now, I'm telling you, if it took his death and his burial and his resurrection in order to purchase my salvation, it's going to take my death, my burial, and my resurrection in order to receive what he has already bought for me. If it took him going through that in order for me to be saved, I'm telling you, it is a slap in the face of God when I think I can stroll in the church and I think I can do whatever I want to do and live however I want to live and come in and confess and believe. And that nothing is required of me. There's no sacrifice. There's no obedience. There's no receiving there's no giving anything up. I'm telling somebody in this househ, if it took that for him, it's going to take that for me. I know we're just doing a Bible study this morning. I hope this is okay. Jesus died, so I must die. Paul would write and say, "I die daily." How do I identify with death the way that Jesus identified with death? I die through the act of repentance. And ain't it a wonderful boy? I'm getting a whole lot better deal because he had to die at a cross, but I get to die at an altar. He laid his life down physically, but I get to lay my life down spiritually. That's what repentance is. I know our world has tried to water it down and cheapen it and they say you can do it if it makes you feel better, but it's not really required. I'm telling you, that's why our world hates repentance. Because in order for you to truly repent, something in you has to die. I tell you, nay. But except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Said in Romans 6 and6, "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin." Said in Acts 3:19, "Repent ye therefore, be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." The way I identify with his death is through the act of repentance. If he had to die, I've got to die. He was buried, so I must be buried. How do I identify with burial the same way that Jesus did? Boy, I love how clear this is today. Romans 6 and4 therefore we are buried with him by baptism. Somebody's getting it in this house right now. I am buried with him by baptism into death. That like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in newness of life. Colossians 2:12 would say we are buried with him. Here it is again in baptism. It took his burial. So I'm telling you it's going to take my burial today. And baptism is the only way I can identify with his burial. I'm preaching to you baptism is more than an outward sign of an inward belief. It's more than something optional. I'm preaching to you in this house. If you want to be saved, you must be baptized in the name of Jesus. In Mark 16:16, he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. I'm preaching to you, it still takes the water. 1 Peter chapter number three and verse number 20. Sometime were disobedience when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah while the ark was a preparing wherein few that is eight souls were saved look at that by they were saved by water and I'm saved by water verse 21 goes on to say the like figure where unto don't tell me baptism ain't necess necessary. The like figure where unto baptism doth also now If you've been in a church where they've told you, "Hey, that's good if you want to be baptized, but if not, it's okay." I'm telling you, they have lied to you. I said I didn't come to sugarcoat it today. I don't care what anybody wants to say. I've come today to preach the Bible, not preach my opinion. All I can preach to you is that verse right there, where unto baptism doth also now save us. I'm telling you, if you're here today and you've never been baptized in the name of Jesus, this would be a great day for you to do it. We are buried with him. How? By baptism. If he had to be buried, boy, I feel it right now. You've got to be buried. If he had to go in the grave, you've got to go in the grave. Hallelujah. He was resurrected. So, I've got to be resurrected. How do I identify with the resurrection the same way that Jesus did? I identify with the resurrection by allowing the spirit of Christ to dwell in me, which will in turn raise me up. If the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, everybody say, "Dwell in you." He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies. How? By his spirit that dwelleth in you. So if I want to be quickened, if I want to be resurrected, I've got to let the spirit of God dwell in me. Another translation says, "He will give life to your mortal bodies because of the spirit of Christ that is inside of you." Baptism is how I get into Christ, but receiving his spirit is how I get Christ into me. In order to identify with the resurrection, I must be filled with his spirit. Again, it's not an optional thing. For the Bible would say, "Ye not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you." Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. John 3 and5 would say, "Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven." So the next logical question that would come after this, well, how do I know when I'm resurrected? How do I know when I receive the Holy Ghost? And I want to go slow here. I didn't come just to get a response. I really want to help somebody today. Acts 2 and 4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. Acts 10 says, "While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost say the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. They of the circumcision which believed were astonished as many as came with Peter because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Isn't it wonderful that he doesn't just say that he they seen them receive the Holy Ghost, but he explains why they knew that the Gentiles had received the Holy Ghost. Before they heard or because they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then answered Peter, "Can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which have received the Holy Ghost as well or in the like manner as we did." Acts 19, he would say it, it would record it like this. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them. Well, how did they know? Because they spake with tongues and prophesied. Even in the Gospel of Mark and some of the final words of Jesus on the earth, here's what Jesus would say. If you're a believer, you shall speak with new tongues. You know what? It takes a real man and it takes a real woman to be able to say, "You know what? I wonder if somehow I've missed it. I wonder if somehow I've been fed a lie." I'm telling you, I can be sincere, but unfortunately, I can also be sincerely wrong. I want the Holy Ghost to come in this house and open up somebody's mind that they can see the scripture today. Come on, let's lift up our hands right now, right where you're at. Come on. I'm preaching to somebody in this house today. I'm preaching to somebody. You've been in churches your whole life and you've never heard the message that you're hearing today. I'm preaching to you. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's more than love. It's more than some cute little prayer. I'm telling you, the gospel is the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. And I'm telling you, it is still available to you right now in the year 2025. If you're here today and you've never received what I'm talking about, if you've never got the revelation of what I'm preaching to you about, come on. I'm telling somebody in this househ. It's accessible for you today. I said it's accessible for you in this house. Hallelujah. They come to the music. There was a day that Jesus was with the disciples. And he asked them a question. Whom do men say that I am? Said, "Well, some say you're John the Baptist. Some say you're Elijah. Some say you're John." And he looked at him and he asked him such an important question. He said, "But who do you say that I am?" because you got to get the revelation yourself. He said, "We believe that you are the Christ, the son of the living God." Jesus looked at him in that moment and said, "Essentially, your mind is not blinded today." He said, "I tell you in fact why you receive this because the father has allowed you to understand it. Flesh and blood did not reveal this unto you, but it was my father which is in heaven." Can I preach to you what I'm trying to get you to understand is something that can only come through divine revelation from the Holy Ghost. And he did something. Jesus did something he had never done before. He said, "Peter, I'm going to give you the keys to the kingdom." Ain't that something? The keys to the king something that will unlock a key that will unlock the door of heaven. He said, "Go, Terry, in the city of Jerusalem till you be endued with power from on high." Acts chapter number one, they go and they're doing what he said. It says, "Being assembled together with them, he said,"O not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the father." Said in verse number five, John truly baptized with water, but you're going to be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Verse eight, you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. So, I do not have the power until I have the Holy Ghost inside of me. They're there and they're waiting and let's just throw this in there today. It wasn't just the disciples. Even the very mother of Jesus was there. They're all there in the upper room and they're waiting. They're doing what Jesus said. He said, "Wait until the power falls. Don't come in and pray for about 10 seconds and if it don't happen, say, "Well, maybe it'll happen next week." Terry, well, thank God for this brother that was up here and thank God for a pastor that said, "I'm going to Terry till you get it." If you missed it last Sunday, boy, you miss seeing something wonderful. Said, "Tar until you be endued with power from on high." And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven like as of a rushing mighty wind. And it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire. And it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. Now you got to understand there's 120 people and they're talking in tongues. This has never happened before. This is weird. This is odd. We've never seen anything like this. Bible says there was people from all over the world that were gathered together in Jerusalem for the Passover. And they were there. They spoke all these languages. They were Parththeians and Mes and Ilummites. The dwellers Mesopotamia, Judea, Capidoshia, Pontius, Asia, all over the world. These people have assembled together in the heart of Jerusalem. And they're hearing every man speak in their own language. They're looking around thinking, "What in the world? These people have lost their mind." Peter stood up. These were, once again, these were men that had already had their minds open. Understand that. Today, these were men that had already had the scales taken off their eyes. Peter stands up under the uncction of the Holy Ghost and he starts preaching to them. He said, 'I want you to know that man you crucified was not just a prophet, but he was Lord and he is Christ. Said, "It's going to come to pass in the last days, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters are going to prophesy. Young men are going to see visions. Your old men are going to dream dreams on my servants, on my handmaidadens. I will pour out in those days of my spirit, and they shall prophesy." When they heard the preaching of the word, the Bible says that they were pricricked in their heart. Boy, I wish somebody would get pricricked in their heart today. That's what the preaching of the word is designed to do. It's designed to hit you right here. I'm telling you, if the church you're going to, if all the messages you ever hear, if they just pat you on the back and make you feel good, I'm preaching you, you're not in a real gospel church, the preaching of the word of God, there's going to come moments when the word is going to confront you face to face, and you've got to decide, am I going to respond or am I not going to respond? They ask the most important question any man could ever ask. What do I need to do to be saved? Once again, I want to I know I'm going slow on this part where we usually don't, but I'm telling you this. This is the first time since the man has been handed the keys to the kingdom that somebody has asked the question, "What do I need to do to be saved?" This is the first time that it's recorded since Peter has been handed the keys to salvation and the keys to heaven that anybody has ever said, "What do I need to do to be saved?" Boy, I can see Peter's mind rolling back to that moment when Jesus handed him the keys to the kingdom and he understood, "Boy, it was for this purpose. It was for this reason right here." And he lifted up his voice. He summed up the gospel in such a beautiful way. He summed up the death, burial, and resurrection in such a beautiful way. Acts 2 and38, you can go ahead and help me right here. The Bible says, "Then Peter said unto them, repent. It's going to take your death. You've got to repent and be baptized. It's going to take your burial and you've got to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. You've got to be resurrected again. I'm preaching to somebody. This is the gospel. This is the gospel. It's the death. It's the burial. It's the resurrection. And I preach it to you. God wants to do it for you in this househ. If you've never repented, it'd be a good day for you to repent. If you've never been baptized, we've got a water. And now why terest now? Arise and be baptized. Arise and be baptized and wash away thy sins. Come on. I wish you'd help me in this househ. Come on. I wish you lift up your hands. Come on. Right now, I want you to join up with somebody you're standing next to. Come on. I want you to join up with somebody in this house. There's people in this house that it's been a long time since you've talked in tonesues. There's people in this house that have never talked in tonesues. They've never been baptized. I can't get to you. I'm asking those of you that are filled I wish you'd get your head on somebody and start to pray in the Holy Ghost. Come on, help me right now in this househ. Come on, FPC. Come on. I wish you'd help me right now. Come on. I want you to lift up your hands all over this house. We're about to open up this altar. Come on.
