We're going to begin at verse number 23. And I'm going to talk about the blood tonight. And I am going to do my best to talk about it, but whenever the blood gets involved, sometimes it's a little difficult to just talk about it because it's done so much for me. But I want to attempt tonight to maybe bring some fresh revelation of the most powerful liquid that's ever touched this earth. And I thank God for the blood. Amen. So let's look at Romans chapter three. We're going to begin at verse number 23. We're going to read down to verse number 26. The Bible says, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God has set forth to be the propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of God, to declare I say that in his righteousness that he may be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. I thank God that he is the justifier. And I thank God for the blood that has brought us nigh. Anybody thankful for the blood tonight? Amen. Before we're seated, I know we've prayed. I just want us to have a few moments of just thanksgiving for the blood before we're seated tonight. Lord, I thank you for the blood tonight. I thank you for the precious blood that was shed on Calvary's cross. I thank you, God, for what you did for us on that day. God, when you shed your blood and Lord, I thank you that that blood is still speaking on our behalf even at this very moment. God, from the mercy seed in heaven, the blood is crying out on our behalf. And we thank you for it. Lord, anoint me. Anoint my lips. God, allow me to speak your word. In Jesus' name we pray. Let everybody say in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. I'm going to talk to you tonight about the threefold ministry of the blood. Now, I believe that we have to understand that the blood works in three distinct ways. And the first way that the blood works is toward God. The second way that the blood works is toward man. And last word, the way that the blood works is toward Satan. And I believe that when we look at these three ways of which the blood works, I think that tonight we're all going to leave here just a little more thankful for the blood. And so the first thing I want to look at is the role of the blood as it moves Godward. Now, we have to understand that there is only one legal liquid through the Bible of which is qualified for the remitting of sins or the forgiveness of sins. Leviticus 17 and 11 says this, For the life of the flesh is in the blood. And I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls. For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. When man sinned in the garden, the first thing that they tried to do was cover up their flesh. Now they failed at their cover up because the Bible talks about that they reached for fig leaves. And they sowed these little aprons for themselves and it was not covered according to God. And so God says this is what I deem as a covering and he takes animal skins if you look at it. And he covers them in animal skins. Now for them to be covered in an animal skin meant somewhere there had to be a blood sacrifice. Blood had to be spilled. And so we get the very first look that something innocent has to die for the guilty party. And we see this furthering in the children of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel. We understand that Abel's sacrifice was accepted as he offered up a lamb unto the Lord. And we see that Cain's is not accepted because he offers the first fruits from the ground. And this is because again the only legal liquid that God will accept for the sins of man is the blood. And so he sheds that blood and because of the shedding of blood, God accepts Abel's sacrifice but he denies Cain's sacrifice. And this is what I want us to understand as we look at all of this and as we get into this tonight is that the blood is really for God. And it is for the eyes of the Lord to see because when you look at probably the greatest example of the shedding of blood and you go to the Passover, you will find that they were commanded in the book of Exodus chapter 12 verse number five. It says your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats and shall keep it unto the 14th day of the same month and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it even in the evening. And they shall take the blood and strike it on the two sides of the post and on the upper post and on the houses wherein they shall eat and they shall eat the flesh in that night roasted with fire and unleavened bread and with bitter herbs. They shall eat it, eat not of it raw nor sodden at all with water but roast with fire. His head, his legs and with the pertinence thereof. There's a whole lot of preach in these verses and I need to move past them. I think you all have heard me say a few times that you can't pick and choose what part of the lamb you want. You got to eat the whole lamb. They had to eat the eyes because Christ ought to affect what you see. They had to eat the legs because Christ ought to affect the way you walk. They had to eat the ears because Christ ought to affect what you hear. There is an appoint that the lamb that final lamb Christ Jesus does not affect in our life if we will allow it. But then it gets down to verse number 10. It says, And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning, and that which remaineth until the morning, ye shall burn with fire, and thus ye shall eat it with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand, and ye shall eat it in haste, for it is the Lord's Passover. And so what would happen is, as that death angel would pass over, if he saw the blood, he knew he could move on. And so we see that the blood is really for the eyes of God first and foremost. The blood works toward God first. And so as God saw that blood, he knew that he was to not lose death to the firstborn in that house. Even in the day of atonement when they would all of Israel would bring their sacrifices and they would come and that high priest would prepare the sacrifice. Now they could see the preparation of sacrifice taking place. They could see that as that happened in the outer core. But when it got ready to apply the blood, it was for the high priest and God to see the blood. They would come to that mercy seat and the Bible says that they would sprinkle it seven times with their fingers on that mercy seat. And if the blood was accepted, then their sins were atoned for that year, which really means they were just pushed forward. They weren't remitted, they weren't removed, they were just pushed until the next time of sacrifice. Now I believe that's important because I think that they were being pushed to what we read in Galatians 4 and 4 that when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his son made of a woman under the law to redeem them that were under the law that we might receive the adoption of sons. I think sin was being pushed until the fullness of time. And then at the fullness of time God said, now I'm ready to be the lamb slain for all sin once and for all. And so Jesus becomes our great high priest. We read in Hebrews 9 and 11, but Christ being a high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle. Not made with hands, that is to say of this building, neither by the blood of goats and of calves, but by his own blood. He entered in once into that holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. You got to understand that, that this redemption is eternal. That means it's outside of time. That means it doesn't just work here, but it works yesterday and it also works tomorrow. That's what's so amazing about the blood is that when it was accepted by God, he said this is a precious blood, an eternal blood. And it reaches into yesterday, today, and tomorrow because it's eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of the heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifyeth the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscious from the dead works to serve the living God. And for this cause, he is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that we were under the First Testament, they which are called might might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. I don't know about you, but I thank God for the blood. And that blood that was shed according to Peter, it's not just another blood. But he said in 1 Peter 1 and 19, but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, that eternal blood was accepted on that heavenly mercy seat. And from that moment on, when God said, I see it and I accept it, then and only then is the eternal redemption there for us to access through the power of Jesus Christ. Anybody thankful for the blood of Jesus tonight? And so the first way that the blood works is towards God and God accepted the blood. But then, and this is where we should all get a little excited because then the blood moves manward. This is the second way of which the blood works. And so if we realize that God has accepted the blood, now we do not need to be confused about us having to ever earn our entrance into the presence of God. I want to talk about this just for a minute because according to Leviticus again, 17 and 11, it says that the blood is the only legal redemption for the soul. And so if he accepted the blood, that means that you and I cannot earn the entrance into God's presence. It's not about my good deeds. It's not about my perfect lifestyle. It's not about my imperfect lifestyle that qualifies me. It's not about anything that man can do because the Bible says my righteousness is as filthy rags. But we were brought nigh by the blood of the Lamb. And so the first way that the blood works is up. And then it's like the second way that the blood works. It's like a hand that grabs you when you repent of your sins and you align yourself with the death of Jesus Christ by burial and baptism. And you are filled with His Spirit. That blood says I'm qualified. You don't have to be qualified because I'm qualified. And so we don't have to serve God off of a basis of performance. And so we should never fall into the trap of trying to serve God by our merits. Now I want you to understand that the blood is not a free license to live how we want to live. And it's not a free license to do what we want to do. The blood sets us free from our sins. And it gives us the ability to live a life above sin. But what I want to remind you tonight, and I felt so impressed today to remind us tonight, is that we do not serve God based off of a performance basis. And I think so many times we allow our conscience to weigh on us. And if we have a bad day or if we have a bad week, or if we remember the things that we did five years ago, 10 years ago, 20 years ago, or maybe yesterday, I don't know, but we remember the mistakes that we have made. We think we are no longer qualified to be in the presence of God. Can I tell you, we were never qualified to be in the presence of God. If you looked at the qualifications that it took to be a high priest and to be operating in the glory, none of us would make it according to those qualifications. But thank God that the blood reached toward man. My, my, Ephesians 2.13, but now in Christ Jesus, you who were sometimes afar off are made nigh by the blood of Jesus Christ. It's not my goodness that brings me close to God. It's not anything that Dylan does that brings me close to God. I have a road paved by the blood of Jesus Christ. And because of that blood, I have access into heavenly places. That's why Hebrews 10.19 says, having therefore brother in boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. That place that only the high priest could step into. You got to understand that if, if a Levite that was trying to make his way to be in a high priest had acne, he was out just the blemish of skin. You're out of there. You're no longer making the qualifications of being a high priest. None of us could, well, at least I couldn't. I don't know. You maybe some of y 'all are perfect and you didn't have any flaws or anything like that. But Dylan would not have been able to make the cut into the holiest place. My, my, but because the blood works towards us because the blood reached down towards us. Now I don't just have access. He said, I have access with boldness with boldness. I can go. Why? Because of the blood. Next time you fall and you make a mistake and Satan tries to beat your head in and tell you you're not good enough. You look right back at him and tell him I was never good enough to begin with. But because of the blood, I'm getting back to the throne because of the blood. I'm headed back to my savior. My, my, my. The blood works towards man. Hebrews 10 22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. Having our heart sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed pure with water. He says, let us draw near with a true heart. God, now you got to go through some of the Old Testament prophets Jeremiah and Ezekiel to understand that when you receive the Holy Ghost and you were baptized in Jesus name, you got a heart transplant. That your heart was evil. Your heart was deceitfully wicked. No man can know it. But this is what he said. He said, I used to write it on tablets of stone, but when I fill you with my spirit, I'm going to write it on the tablets of your heart. And so God gives you a new heart. But we have this evil conscience that wants to try to weigh us down, that wants to try to, to, to cripple us from being able to get into the presence of God. Man, I've been burdened all day for maybe it's just one person in this room that's battling with your conscience and feels like you're not worthy. You just need to put a little blood on your conscience and tell that inner man to hush up because you were never qualified. Nobody was but the blood. And because of the blood, now I have access to the throne room of God where I can boldly come in and ask for a time of help when I am in need. God said, I'll wrap my arms around you. You just come on to the Father. I've made room for you up here with me. Thank God for the blood. Thank God for the blood. That's what the blood did. Colossians 2.14 says that it was blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. These things were written against you and, and they were ordinances that stood against you. They were contrary, working against you, but then all of a sudden a stream of reds started pouring down that cross. And when it did, it went to the mercy seat and it went to me and you. My, my, it tore that veil. I just, now I know I'm sure not literally that there was a stream of blood that made it all the way to the temple. But somehow through the mediation of Christ, blood made it to the heavenly temple. That heavenly throne room and it was sprinkled on that heavenly mercy seat. Because remember everything in the Tabernacle was a pattern of heavenly things. And so everything that the High Priest did, Jesus was doing. And, and when he put that blood on the mercy seat, the veil on the earth said, I can't stay together for another second. And that veil split top to bottom. It just rent whom all the way through. You got to understand that wasn't a thin little piece of cloth. That was a thick veil and it was rent from top to bottom. Why was it rent so that you could walk right up to that mercy seat and say, I was an alien. I was a stranger. I was on the other side of that wall of partition. But now guess what? I've been brought nine by the blood, by the blood, by the blood, by the blood. My, my, somebody needs to hear me tonight. The blood is working in your favor. Man. And thirdly, the blood works towards Satan. This one's my favorite. I think some of you have made Satan sovereign. There's only one sovereign being and that's God. Everything else is created, including Lucifer. He's a created being. He's not a create of being. One thing is sovereign and that's God. And you need to quit deifying the devil. I said, you need to quit deifying the devil. Because we're giving him a little too much power than he's got. The only power he has is that which is allotted to him from God when he goes to stand before him. Job kind of gives us a clue into what Satan does. He goes up there and he presents his case before God. And God goes, all right, I'll give you just enough power to do what I'm letting you do. But if he's talking, that means he doesn't have the authority to do it. Because I don't ever read where he went down there and started telling Job what he was going to do before he did it. He just showed up and started wrecking havoc. And so if he's talking, he hasn't been given the authority to do it. Because we learn that his voice is really his greatest weapon. It's kind of like a pipe organ is what the Bible calls it. And so it's just a loud screeching voice. And so you got to tell the voice of Satan hush. Because I've got something that's working in my favor and against your favor. Now we learn through Revelation that the word of Satan is this. Or the work of Satan is this, Revelation 12 and 10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is salvation come and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of Christ for the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accuse them before God day and night. This is the work of Satan. He stands there and he just accuses us of everything he can think of day and night. That's a lot. I mean day and night, he's just accusing us of everything he can possibly do. And we learn that through the fall of man, we were distanced from God. We were removed from his presence. Because of sin, before the cross, God had to agree with what was being said because there was no liquid, an eternal redemptive blood to work on our behalf. That's why Romans 3.23 says, for we all have sinned. And then it says this, and come short of the glory of God. Now I've always read that and you know it's like we've all sinned and we've come short of the glory of God. But you have to understand because of the sin, we had no access to the glory of God. Sin was contrary to us. And so Satan had the right to say, Dylan did this, and Dylan did this, and Dylan did this, and Dylan did this, and I did all of those things. And I had nobody to defend me. And so that accuser stood day and night working against us. But thanks be to God we read in verse number 11 that it says, And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. And they love not their lives unto death. The Bible speaks that the blood that redeems us speaks on our behalf. It is in Hebrews 12 and 24 that we read and Jesus the mediator of the New Covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel. Verse number 25, this is important. See that you refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escape not, who refused him that spake on the earth much more shall we not escape if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven. And so the blood on the mercy seat is speaking. And what is it speaking? That that's a better testimony than that of Abel. Abel cried out vengeance. Jesus cries out forgiveness. And so that blood is your argument against the accusation of Satan. And so in heaven while Satan is accusing you, the blood begins to come over your book of life. And now it has to show up in the Lamb's book of life where your name is written. If you're baptized in Jesus' name and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. And now you have a new testimony which works towards Satan and against Satan. And while he is accusing you, you have Christ saying, no, no, no. You've already messed up, buddy. They are in me. And if you look at me in me is no sin. I went into hell and I let you observe this body. And they looked at that body. Satan, death and hell, they looked at that body. And they said, what do we do with a man that has no sin? We have no jurisdiction here. We have no authority here. We have no dominion here. And so they had to let him go. And that's why it's so important that you're baptized in the name of Jesus. Because lest you get in Christ, you are not in the sinless body and have the perfect blood speaking against the accuser of the brethren. And so while Satan is speaking against you, there's a better testimony. There's a better testimony. Man, I feel like telling somebody you have got to turn off the voice of condemnation. You have got to turn off the voice of Satan that is wearing you out night and day, accusing you night and day, telling you you're not worthy night and day. And you look for him right in the eye and say, I was never worthy but the blood, but Christ Jesus. All of the things that Paul lists in the book of Romans. He goes through this long list and he says in Romans, let me go to it here, 838. He says, for I am persuaded that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come nor height nor depth nor any creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He says nothing in the future and nothing in the present. He said there's no height, there's no depth, there's no creature. He said there's no principality. I want you to think about that. There is no spiritual principality. There is no spiritual power. That can separate us from the love of God. But the one thing I find missing in this list is the past. He leaves out history because I believe the only thing that is able to separate you and I, children of the most high God, is what we have done. Because what we do is when we make a mistake, we allow the voice of Satan to begin to minister to us if I can put it in that manner and talk to us and say, but you did this, but you did that, but you made this mistake, but you made that mistake, but you fell here, but you fell there. You didn't even pray this week. You didn't even pray today. You didn't read your Bible today. Come on. And he starts wearing on you and wearing on you and wearing on you. And the next thing you know, you're in church and you don't even want to lift your hands anymore. Come on. And the band is playing on Sunday morning and the singers are all singing and it all sounds great. And they're singing about how good God is and how great God is. And you don't even feel like you're worthy to lift your hands. You don't even feel like you're worthy to pray. And if you pray, I've noticed this, you come down so downtrodden and so distraught. And so, I mean, you just begging and pleading. And meanwhile, God is up there going. I don't even know what you're talking about because we have an advocate with the Father when we make our mistakes. And when we ask God to forgive us, he is faithful to forgive. And he takes those things and he puts them under the blood. Now this is my personal opinion. Remember, remember that the blood is eternal. It works past, present, and future. And so, when you ask God to forgive you, he's forgiven you yesterday, today, and forever. And so, you just got to stay in the posture of forgiveness. And if you mess up, you put it back under the blood. You grab it and you put it back under the blood. You grab the only thing that can pull things out from under the blood is us. And so, God said, I don't even know what you're talking about. I don't even know what you're... And we allow the ministry of condemnation to work against us. But thank God for the blood. I challenge you after tonight. Deliver yourself from self. Deliver yourself from you. Deliver yourself from personal issues. And remember, the blood is what makes us worthy. It went towards God. He's accepted it. We know that. Or that outpouring of the Spirit wouldn't have happened on the day of Pentecost. So the blood's been accepted, God word. The blood is moved, man word. We know that when we got baptized in Jesus' name filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. We know it moved towards us. But now we got to let it move towards Satan. And tell him to hush. And when he talks, let him talk through a stream of the blood. Because he said this. He said, if you refuse that which is speaking in heaven. He said, you better be careful. You don't allow the voice that's speaking in heaven to be muted. Because it's trying to speak on your behalf. But if we're not careful, we'll turn the volume up on the wrong voice of the voice of condemnation. And we'll turn the volume down on the voice that's speaking from heaven. And we'll get out of balance with condemnation. Man, I feel like I'm pulling for somebody tonight. Let the blood work how God intended for it to work. Let the blood set you free from the spirit of condemnation. The ministry of condemnation as it is called in the Bible. Because there is a ministry of condemnation that wants to work against you. But thank God for the blood. Thank God for the blood. Thank God for the blood. Thank God for the blood. Thank God for the blood. Let's lift our hands and just worship him for the blood right now. My, my, my. My prayer today for tonight has been this. And I have truly been burdened for somebody. That you would allow the ministry of the blood to work as God intended for it to work. And that you would allow God to deliver you from a performance based mentality. I think we should give God our best. Please do not misunderstand me tonight. Please do not misunderstand if anybody believes that we should live holy and separate. I believe we should live holy and separate. I preach come out from the world and be separate. I, I preach holiness. I preach standards. I believe it from the top of my head down to the soles of my feet. But I tell you what I know. That if we serve God based off of a performance, you're never going to think you're doing enough. But if you serve God based off of the blood, you'll never feel like you have to serve him based off of what you're doing. You'll just do it because thank God for the blood. I pray because thank God for the blood. I come to church because thank God for the blood. I worship because thank God for the blood. I read this Bible because thank God for the blood. I lift my hands because thank God for the blood. Oh precious is the flow that makes us white as snow. Galatians 5 and 1 and I'll close with this and I'm done. It says stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. And be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. I remind you that there is a yoke that wants to re -entangle you. But if you'll allow the voice that is talking from heaven right now, don't refuse the voice. It will speak louder than the voice of condemnation. It will speak louder than the voice of guilt. It will speak louder than the voice that is trying to stop you from getting to where you belong. I pray tomorrow morning when you wake up, you boldly enter into that throne of grace. Why? The blood says you can. I pray the next time you need something from God, you will enter boldly. Why? Because the blood says you can. I pray the next time you need something from God, you don't add up all of the good deeds you have done. Man, I feel like I'm ministering to somebody right now. Because this is kind of what we do, right? We look at, you know, oh, I've been real good the last few months. I've been paying my tithes. Been giving an offering. Been giving to go. Making sure I cover all the bases. Come to church faithfully. I don't just come on Sunday morning. I'm one of those that even comes on Sunday night. Hallelujah. Come on now. And we go through our little checklist and we go, all right. I've done all these things. Now Lord, and we act like we can leverage Him based off of our positive qualities. God doesn't care about all that. Let's be honest. Of course He wants us to live pure. He wants us to live righteous. Because we're the representation of His kingdom on the earth. But let's just be honest. The next time you have a need, this is what you need to tell yourself. The blood made away. The blood made away. Silence the voice of Satan. Tell him to hush up. I've got a meeting with God. And you march your way into heavenly places in prayer. Come on, next Wednesday night prayer. We ought not to pray quietly. We ought not to pray like we don't belong. We ought to set this place on fire. Why? Because we belong in the presence of God. Why? Because of the blood. Not because of anything I've done because of the blood. There's nothing like the blood. My, my, my. Would you stay with me? I'm done. I want us to just close this out. If we could take at least the next four minutes. It's 8-11. And I just want us. If you're battling a spirit of condemnation. If you're struggling serving God based off of a performance basis. And you think that it's what you do that qualifies you to be in the presence of God. And you're bound by that. I just want us to take a moment here and I want you to just realize the blood made away. And if you're here and you just want to feel the presence of God. You ought to just worship him for the next few moments and let him encourage you. Let him uplift you right now. Just for the next few minutes. Would you lift your hands? And would you lift your voices? And could we just make this place into one big choir of thanksgiving for the blood of Jesus Christ. For the mercies and grace that are new every morning. Praise God. Come on, that's it. Praise God. Lord, I speak to the mind of every believer that's here right now. That is struggling with the spirit of condemnation for things they did 10 years ago. Things they did 20 years ago. Things they did five years ago. And it is stopping them from fulfilling their ministry. It is stopping them from fulfilling all that you have for them alone. And just their walk with you. I speak to that right now God. And I say cover it with the blood. I say cover it with the blood God. Apply the blood to their mind. God let the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ cleanse that evil conscience that would lie to them. That would condemn them. That would talk down to them. And loose the blood of Jesus Christ that sets us free by the power of the blood of the Lamb. Loose us from a performance based walk with you. Let us serve you because the blood says we are able to serve you. Let us worship in freedom, in spirit and in truth because the blood says we have a way into that holiest place God. So we come to that throne room on a Wednesday night. We stand before you on the throne and we join in with heaven and we cry holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. We cast our crowns. We cast everything that is us down for we know that our righteousness is as filthy rags. But the blood, but the blood, but the blood has brought us nigh. So yes we worship in spirit. Yes we worship in truth. Yes we magnify you God in all that you have done. Thank God, thank God, thank God. Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus. Deliver us oh God from condemnation. Deliver us oh God from the voice of the accuser. Deliver us oh God from the voice of the enemy that would lie to us. Let there be a swift deliverance in this house even now. Thank God, thank God, thank God, thank God. We worship you Lord, we praise you Lord. Thank you for the blood, thank you for the blood, thank you for the blood. Amen, amen. If you feel like praying for a little while longer you can pray. If you're ready to be dismissed, you're dismissed. But if you go, go on the blood path. Go on the path that says you've been delivered. Go on the path that says there's a better testimony. Go on the path that says you're worthy to be in that holiest place. And when you wake up tomorrow enter boldly into that throne room in Jesus' name. One more time, why don't we just magnify him as we're dismissed tonight? Thank you Jesus.
