heard about it but the half wasn't told me i hope you know how blessed you are my brother johnny and my sister-in-law here my wife don't have anybody in the world i cherish more than them but johnny when we walked in here and they were singing when that choir law filled up all i could think about was that little church where my daddy gave up everything it was just an old house they'd knock the walls out nobody wanted to preach there they couldn't get a pastor but my dad traded in his income his job his new home we like to starve to death but as kids we never knew it evangelized two years singled in three years married and probably the average church i preached in was 35 or 40 people if two got the holy ghost they would ask you to go another week and all i can say tonight is thank you dad mom and thank you maryville for letting me call you brother and sister jesus don't go up against the super bowl every week if you stayed home to watch i hope you get a food poisoning and i'd trade somebody being healed of cancer than the super bowl would you i'd trade brother dean getting the holy ghost for the super bowl the bible said clap your hands and shout yes clap your hands and shout you can be seated brother carpenter thank you for letting us come we're so honored to be here pastor and your staff it's a spirit of excellence thank you for the room that everything you had in there the champagne and i had never had it before it's pretty good i liked it i didn't know if it was supposed to bubble from the top or the bottom i poured it in the glass and it was bubbling i said oh here we go let's have some communion here all right i can't waste any time because the lord's going to do something brother dean would you stand up johnny stand up god has given my brother years ago the gift of faith to pray people through the holy ghost okay if you want the holy ghost you go get with him when when the holy ghost follows here in a minute all right i got permission from pastor to do that you go with him and i will tell you he'll pray with you till the super bowl's over i know my brother he was the last one to leave every youth camp as long as somebody wanted the holy ghost my brother johnny was in there praying all right i better get started and preaching let's see at 6 50. what time does the game start oh i hear everybody saying i don't know so the first thing we're going to do is rebuke a lion spirit that's come in this church and just in case you're wondering i'm pulling for the bengals you know their two best players are from louisiana and so we we we've started calling the bengals lsu north i want to speak to you tonight from this subject remedies for faith fatigue i heard the other day and was in sweden they're putting chips in people okay if i'm gonna get a chip i want it to be lai's waffle potato chips that's what i'm asking for i was thinking about my niece that passed away last summer she's a niece by marriage she was 50 years old and in perfect health and she passed a covet and we prayed hard for her healing she met my nephew my oldest brother who's now deceased his oldest son witnessed to her own line about jesus name baptism she was already a dedicated very consecrated young lady and he explained baptism over a period of time she drove six hours five and a half at least so i could baptize her in the name of jesus christ and drove back home and she already had the holy ghost and got involved in the work of the lord if you've never been baptized in jesus name i want to know what in the world in the climate we're living in right now with all that's going on why are you not waiting why are you waiting to get baptized in the name of jesus why i don't understand why you wouldn't get baptized in the precious powerful sin remitting name of jesus christ the last two sundays our heater was out on our baptistry and we couldn't that we have a plumber in the church and he couldn't get the parts and so for two weekends our water was cold and we had people to baptize a young girl and an older lady the first time there and we told him said look the water is ice cold if you want to wait another week you know hopefully we'll have the baptistry fix well they didn't want to wait so they bailed off in that cold water and when that lady got baptized last week her feet came all the way up out of the water we have a picture to prove it and and our church was clapping you know we get excited when somebody gets baptized i probably need to go ahead and preach i get to chasing these ignorant rabbits i i just but anyway i've told our church you know luke 15 there's three three it's three verses of one parable it's a it's uh a lost sheep one out of a hundred a lost coin one out of ten the lost boy one out of two there's one one thing common about every story is that when they when when they found the sheep when they found the coin when the boy came on they had a party sometimes when i baptize somebody or one of the staff members baptize somebody half the church is trying to beat the baptist to bonanza you know we got to get there before the crowd look when somebody gets baptized you ought to be on your feet like they're singing your favorite song heaven's rejoicing so in the old testament in the book of judges there's a neat story about gideon and gideon was the youngest of his family which put him at the bottom of the totem pole the enemy had come in and harvested when they would harvest their crops they would steal all the harvest so he was in a cave he was hiding in a wine press so the enemy wouldn't find the harvest that they had worked so hard to plant and harvest and an angel shows up in verse 12 and appeared unto him and said unto him the lord is with thee well it didn't look like it did it called him a mighty man of valor and gideon said o my lord if the lord be with us why then is all this befallen us and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of saying did not the lord bring us out from egypt but now the lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the midianites and the lord looked upon him and paid no attention to what gideon said i'll put that in there and said go in this thy might thou shalt save israel from the hand of the midianites so gideon's first thought was oh you're with us you're with us really i've heard about all the miracles but where are they we're living in bondage we're slaves and we've all been where gideon was have you have you lost a loved one when you fasted and prayed and wondered where is the god of miracles have you have you prayed for somebody that never got their healing did you struggle and pray for something in your own personal life a breakthrough and it didn't seem like the answer would come and so you're like where is god if god be for us it's called faith fatigue your faith gets tired that was what god worried about with peter when he said before the crows you're going to deny me he said satan wants you peter he said but i prayed for thee that thy faith fail not and when thou art converted strengthen the brethren i'd like to know jesus was praying for me wouldn't you then i think i could do anything on this planet if i knew jesus was praying for me what about you well i got some wonderful news for you he is he's our high priest he's the intercessor he's forever set down he knows what we're going through he's making intercession the bible said for us jesus is on your team he's your prayer partner peter echoed these sentiments about faith fatigue in his second letter when he said no in this verse there shall come in the last day scoffers walking after their own lust and saying where is the promise of his coming for since the fathers fell asleep all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation you see if you've ever been in that place you're not alone and i want to encourage you by telling you that god is okay if you have a little fatigue in your faith he asked the man whose son was demon possessed who had a death and a dumb spirit and was constantly suicidal throwing himself into the fire throwing himself into the water how would you like to have a kid i i tried to think about this dad he never took his eyes off of him he couldn't let him play with the neighbor down the road because he was he was always he said always he's trying to throw himself in the fire and when he came to jesus jesus asked him if he had any faith do you believe all things are possible to them that believe and straightway the father the child cried out and said with tears lord i believe help thou mine unbelief i do believe all things are possible but i'm looking at a boy every day throwing himself in the fire and it's wearing on me i'm getting tired he gnashed with his teeth he foamed at his mouth he pined away but you know what jesus said i can take care of this for the faith the grain of a mustard seed is enough to move a mountain paul understood this feeling for he said a great door and effectual is open unto me and there are many adversaries i know there's an open door i know god opened this door but i got enemies to fight i got battles to fight i got prayer meetings to have i'm not there yet but i'm gonna get there has anybody ever had any faith fatigue i mean we started out the year with miracle sunday we brought in an evangelist that prays for the sick and is well known for praying for the sick and in the next 10 days we had 70 people with coven why don't you laugh about that y'all been through it up here too i i follow some things on media right i mean we have miracle sunday and next thing you know we got 70 people with covet i'm like or if you're for us where are all the miracles so i've got four remedies for your faith fatigue are you gonna help me preach i won't be long if you'll help me i'm gonna tell you this i don't have to get to all four if god wants to take over if god wants to fall we got to get this man prayed through the holy ghost tonight if god wants to take over i'm just going to tell these people that so talented on these guitars and organs and pianos and the singers to get up here and let's see what the lord will do and get you out of here so you can go home and get a good night's rest remedy number one is remove all options david said whom have i in heaven but thee i don't have another option i've got to believe i've been too far to turn back now i've lived my life for this i put my treasures into this i said i put my treasures into this i put my first fruit into this i can't go anywhere where would i go who would i talk to what church would i attend who will i serve i don't have any options i got my hand to hold to the plow and i can't look back can you hear me out there i can't look back i can't look back the bible said because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax coal but you know what i'm going to keep my love for jesus red hot i don't have an option oh clap your hands to the lord right now come on do a little better than that would you when they told william booth that he was not going to get his eyesight back his son branwell told him and he said well he said son i've done for god what i could do with my eyes now i'm going to do for god and the people what i can do without my eyes he didn't have any options he couldn't look back and the bible said this the devil in the last day will try to wear out the saints somebody say wear out the saints of the most high he's going to try to wear you down he's going to try to wear you out now i got wore out a few times by my parents but that's not what he's talking about he wants you to get tired he wants your faith to die the devil wants your faith to get cold and your love for christ to get cold i don't think you're hearing me tonight i'm telling you you better get a hold of this because we're throwing away the options we got a hold of the plow in 1519 when armand cortes landed in veracruz as what we know now as mexico to overthrow the aztecs and take hold of the vast treasures of gold and silver cork has landed with 600 men 600 men and when they when they got all the men on the shore they burned the boats he burned his boats what's going to happen if they whip us well we're not going home because the boats are burned feeling the holy ghost now i'm not just saying this some of you need to burn your boat you've been looking too long over your shoulder like lots white and wondering what it'd be like if you could be free again in the world and do a few things you dreamed of you know what you better do we're in the last day church you better get rid of your options that's not an option anymore it's not an option anymore and many men in hebrews 11 that great chapter of the heroes of faith he said if they had been mindful of that country from which they came out they might have had the opportunity to return we've all watched them go back we've all watched people go back i'm not going back general sam houston's mother said to him when he left home i'd rather you fall into a grave than let the enemy see your back you know what i'm going to tell you tonight i don't want the devil to ever see my back he's looking at my face he's looking in my upraised hands when i don't understand the trial i'm going through when i don't understand why god didn't answer my prayer he's not going to see my back he's not going to see my backside he's going to see my hands up he's going to hear my mouth he's going to hear my praise he's going to hear my worship and i'm going to go ahead and give glory like job did and say though he slay me yet will i trust him my faith may be a little fatigued my faith may be a little tired clap your hands and shout real prophets said to paul when he met with the ephesus elders if you go to jerusalem there's some bad things waiting on you you're going to wind up dying if you go to jerusalem you know what paul said none somebody shout none none of these things move me i'm going up i'm sold out the only way to live for god is sold out get rid of the options there are no options get a hold of the plow and don't look back of jesus that said whose hand fan is in his hand and he will thoroughly purchase floor and gather his wheat into the garner and he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire the difference between chaff and grain is weight because the wind can't carry away the weight if you can be blown around by every wind of doctrine somebody needs to give you a bible study there's no other message that will save this world are you with me hero israel the lord our god repent be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost i've had a few buddies turn around and say that wasn't important anymore but i'm not even looking at an option point one dear lord if i spend as much time on the others as that we're in trouble remedy number two eat the book faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of god get in this book get off the facebook and get an ebook i wasn't the first one to say that and i won't be the last but it always feels good when i say it i'm not i'm not against facebook take every thought of doubt every unbelief every fear that you may have and and and go to the bible and start eating the book somebody shout amen the bible was written by 44 different writers over 16 years holy men spake as they were moved on by the holy ghost when one man laid down his pen another took it up there are no mistakes in this bible it's infallible i want to come to this pulpit tonight and tell you that i want his word to be like a fire shut up in my bones a hallelujah i the solomon said in proverbs 3 and 8 it'll be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones the navel is the source of nutrition for the baby in the mother's wombs and the marrow is where more blood is made every day that keeps you alive you want to you want a remedy for faith fatigue pick your bible back up oh my god somebody ought to shout about this turn off fox news or cnn if you're crazy turn off all that mess and get back in the bible i don't care how bad it looks i don't care what the church says about covet if my faith gets fatigued my help comes from the lord are you a believer some of you know who john peterson is he's a podcaster youtuber canadian and i've read his book 12 rules for life he's the guy just says you know make your bed up don't try to tell me how to fix a world until you make your bed i had four brothers we didn't have an option mother said i ain't making all your beds make your own bed anyway they're always trying to ask him are you a believer i took this direct quote from him do you believe in god are you a believer he said i don't like that question you can youtube this you can find it what do you mean by believe do you mean you say the words i believe in god what do you mean by that is what you believe what you say or what you act out as far as i'm concerned what you believe is what you act out not what you say believe is action amen believe there's a guy in the bible said something like that without faith your works are dead i think i read that didn't it we got a whole whole nation as i'm a believer i couldn't leave her oh no that's not that's not a christian song i heard that when i was riding down a road with my backslid brother one time it's just he prayed through after that you got a little book in your car you know in the glove box whatever they call it i don't know if they call it a glove box anymore do they i don't know it's just the little thing you open up in the dash you know they got a manual in there that manual you pull it out tell you how often to change your oil in your car sometimes it's thousand five thousand i don't know eight thousand use synthetic oil i don't know what yours says i know what mine says now i drive my car fifty thousand miles and it blows up and burns up and didn't have any oil i probably didn't believe that book i probably thought whoever wrote that book was ignorant i don't know what they're taught about they're in cahoots with the oil companies and the time it lubes and all of that and they're trying to get everybody down there you know and get their oil changed every five days i don't think i need to do that well if you're a believer you'll do it probably shouldn't said any what i just said but i've already said it i can't take it back you believe in god you believe in holiness here you believing come out from among them and be your separate self the lord you believe in separating yourself from the world huh jesus said not everyone that says unto me lord's going to enter the kingdom but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven eat the book oh give him another hand clap of praise would you would you get up on your feet for just about 30 seconds and clap your hands and shout no 30 seconds we gave him about a 10 second token yes i am a believer well the next time you get down in the mullies instead of staying in the mullies eat the book remedy number three pray in the holy ghost i'm fixing to break loose in this joint it's not i call this a joint oh god something fixing break loose in this taj mahal jude said in one and twenty said beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the holy ghost when your faith gets fatigued go to your prayer closet get to the altar pray to you pray through pray do you start speaking in tongues pray do you get a breakthrough pray to you and pray with groanings which cannot be uttered start praying in the holy ghost brother dean you can get the holy ghost right now while i'm preaching i don't know if you know that but you can that's the way you build your faith he said you'll be this is a remedy for faith fatigue you start praying in the holy ghost somebody ought to pray in the holy ghost right now you don't have to wait till the altar service you ought to pray in the holy ghost right now with my faith's fatigue well get in your prayer closet and start praying until you break through speaking in tongues that's what praying in the holy ghost is likewise the spirit helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the holy spirit maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be othered ten men came back with fatigued faith they brought an evil report we're going to live or die by our own words our words are like containers they're either carrying faith or fear don't go to the prayer room don't go to talk to jesus with a downcast faith and bring some evil report and start telling him what all you've been going through i would tell you what i'd recommend start praying the promises of god and pray until the spirit comes and you pray in the holy ghost nothing destroys faith like an evil report but pray in the holy ghost whatever things are true honest just pure lovely good report that's what i want you to think about if there'll be any praise i'm not making fun of him but we used to pastor a guy he gave me fits but he would come up for prayer and he would go you can kill you i'm like he ain't gonna get nothing some of you do that you think god's gonna feel sorry for you we've got a third of the world going to bed hungry we got a nation in africa right now where kids are dying by the thousands because they don't have anything to eat and you're gonna come in here cause sally talked about me and she's spreading the river and said god i'm filmed i don't know what you're gonna do about it can i i wish i could squinch my face up a little bit more but that little brother would come up and he would raise his voice up like he could sing tenor and he wasn't a tenor he couldn't even sing he's like like wonder what god thinks about that god forgive me for making fun of him please forgive me god i shouldn't have said anything i said hawk i think about johnny you know what i remembered the other day when that little church out in west texas out in freona texas we got a spanish boy his name was baltimore why do you know how you like that spanish baltimore i don't know baltimore is a spanish word or not baltimore came to our church and my daddy used to be the only one in the altar because he wanted revival and he wanted to see souls saved and he'd be the last one in the altar and sometimes he'd get to groaning and crying one one night he was down to that altar and baltimore was sitting by me and my brother's on the front row and my dad got to singing in tongues i know he must have been discouraged i know it must have been hard nobody getting the holy ghost nobody even there that needed the holy ghost and it wasn't because he wasn't praying it wasn't he had a massive revival before he died and all of a sudden baltimore looked over and said didn't know your dad could speak spanish he was singing a song in spanish at altar and we're like you better tell us what he was saying because i know dad's going to want to know what he was saying i know he's going to want to know let me tell you when you start praying in the holy ghost there ain't no telling what you're praying and asking god to do and remedy number four and i'll quit seek the presence of god birds of a feather flock together and sometimes when you get in the mullies you get with other people that's in the mullis you know i had a kidney stone one time i told god if i hurt this if i had a dog that hurt this bad i'd get my shotgun and blow his head off i tried to tell everybody about my kidney stone i everybody i told had one bigger than mine so help me i'm telling you the truth i had a nosebleed a few years ago i couldn't get my nose to stop bleeding they said it was a crazy it was the craziest thing went to the doctor they couldn't get it stopped i'm trying to do men's conference on the front row my nose erupts i'm in the emergency room they say you better go home and everywhere i go yeah my boy he's seven years old he has nosebleeds all the time he wakes me up in the night i go to the doctor he said man i have terrible nosebleeds and and i'm like can i get any sympathy from somebody i mean here's the doctor saying you know you hadn't bled near as much as you think you had i said you want me to show you a picture you get that way in the church sometime you get hanging around the ignorant people no everybody's got a horrible store more horrible than yours somebody lied on them more than somebody lied on you am i meddling really am i not meddling i think i'm talking to somebody tonight you know what i've got some friends if i get down you may not like joel osteen you you probably don't like him if i tell you what if you want to if you want to get pumped up just get on his x-m station brother you listen to him about 15 minutes now he ain't going to talk about no he ain't going to talk about the holy ghost and i'm not telling you to go listen i'm just saying i'm just saying get with somebody i got a couple of friends brother i called i got a friend in california when i get on the phone with him i'm the best thing since sliced bacon he's jerry dean i ain't never heard a preacher like you i tell you're a church builder you build bible schools all over the world man everybody knows who you are and he just meant i hang that phone up and i'm like chewing my gum like i'm in a battle with that gum i'm like come on devil i'm ready to whip you when when you know what you need to do you need to get around people like that that can take you into the presence of god brother j joshua taught me how sometimes you can just be in somebody's presence and they'll lift your faith they'll make you feel better that cloud will lift off your head he calls it the ministry of presence just being around him and he does that to me well let me tell you about jesus christ you get in his presence hallelujah you get in his presence hallelujah in his presence his fullness of joy at his right hand are treasures forevermore yeah if i can get in his treasures i'm the king's kid yes i am how do i get in his presence well i'll tell you how you enter into his courts you went into his gates with thanksgiving and you enter into his courts with praise you put on the garment of praise from the spirit of heaviness and he'll respond are you with me are you listening to me if you want to get in his presence start singing one of his songs hallelujah clap your hands and shout everybody right now come on there's a breakthrough here there's an explosion here you said it there's some tmt here the holy ghost is moving across this room right now from over here all the way over here the holy ghost is moving in the back and in the front people are clapping their hands some people are still sitting down but they're going to get up in a minute because they're going to get in the presence of god and when the presence of god gets here oh oh oh a story about a missionary who went to columbia south america's name was verner larson i have a picture of him his wife's name was abigail they didn't they had to learn the language they had hardly any money they struggled to build up a work abigail died giving birth to a child he built his own casket preached her funeral had a little baby she's still alive had a little baby girl i'm sure he had a little faith fatigue i'm sure he was saying god that you couldn't pick up a phone call home when he was there you couldn't send an email to your family and say look abigail died she died in childbirth pray for me he's all by himself he's in a country with very little believers a handful of believers but you know what he did he preached that funeral he said i'm not going home you think he might have had a little faith fatigue today there's an organization see that little grave site was fertile ground and something grew up out of that grave site and began to spread all across colombia and today there's 500 churches in an nation who are baptizing in the name of jesus preaching the hero israel the lord our god is one lord you know i don't have anything but you god you're all i got this is it i had the privilege of knowing benny to merchant i wasn't real close to him but had meals with him he's been in our church vintage emergent came from up in new brunswick canada he went to brazil didn't know the language had very little money went to the city of manalas took him a year to learn how to speak portuguese his family was there just hanging on just hanging on he learned how to fly he flew his plane all up and down the amazon river taking supplies to villages he flew his plane over one village of cannibals they shot arrows up he said i watched them come as high as they could go and then they would fall back to the ground and he dropped out food and rice and they picked it up today there's a three story bible school where they used to shoot arrows at him today in the city of manaus where he started with nothing there are four districts there are 200 jesus name churches in that one city within an hour drive of where he lived they've been they've they've graduated over 10 000 students in their bible schools and revivals flow all over brazil to this day but when he was there his son was diagnosed with bone cancer and he buried him in brazil and god didn't come through and he may have had a little faith fatigue but he had cast out all options there were no options for him we had the opportunity to sponsor a crusade in nicaragua where we built a bible school to honor my precious dad and mother it was amazing i told them a little bit about this morning i think i showed a video from that when i was here at the men's conference a few years back that crowd man look at that they make less than 2 000 a year in nicaragua look at that crowd good lord that's the bible school way back in the back with the bright light see it that's the william h d memorial bible school ninety 2392 people receive the holy ghost in three nights you think you can get the holy ghost it's been several years ago but i had it on my mind last week and i couldn't get this crusade off my mind i went back and watched that video what i remember they had a platform and it was way high probably at least five feet maybe six i don't know and people when when they came the call came for the altar call people pressed and pressed and and there was one little daddy there with his baby in his hands and i don't know if the baby was sick i don't know if anything was going i don't know he had his wife and the baby and he was trying to get me to him i'm just this american preacher you know and and he knew probably we sponsored the crusade and he just in his mind he's like you got to pray for my baby and he was pointing to his baby's head and i'm i'm like i'm trying to reach out there and i'm like fixing to fall off this thing and they're going to do me like they do in the in the what they call the mosh pit where they do the people you know and i'm like this is somebody better grab me and i'm reaching out there and i finally was able to put my hand on that little daddy that little boy's head and when i prayed for his little boy he start pointing to his wife pray for my wife pray for my wife pray for my wife and when i finally prayed for his wife i would stretch as far as i could stretch somebody was hanging actually somebody grabbed me back here and i'm like they want me to fall when i got through praying for his wife he was like pointing to his own head pray for me pray for me and i could feel the hunger i could see the passion the proof of your desire is in your pursuit i don't know if the baby was sick or i don't know what was going on but i came home saying if the american church ever gets a hold of that they they they worshipped in an open field until you told him to quit worship and as long as the music was going they were jumping up and down and shouting and praising god and i told him at the marriage retreat the people who appear to have the least to praise god for praising the most and the people who appear to have the most to praise god for praise in the least i wish i could get somebody to make a lap around this building right now and say i know i'm more blessed than those poor people of nicaragua i'm not going to let a rock take my place no no no no no no no come on somebody get rid of your options get back in the book start praying in the holy ghost and get in the presence of god would you clap your hands and shout one more time would you do that if there's anything that wears your faith and gives you faith fatigue separate yourself from it we're coming to the front make room come on step all the way to the front make room we're going to have an altar service i know the bengals are playing the rounds but right now god's fixing to do a work hallelujah my brother's coming he's going to give you some instructions and i believe tonight you're going to receive the baptism of the holy ghost and you're going to speak in tongues can i get a witness will the church join me in praise would you step up the aisles are filling up the owls are filling up take a step forward if you can and come away come all the way to the front hallelujah somebody ought to go to praying in the holy ghost right now somebody ought to pray in the spirit right now build up your faith build up your faith build up your faith praying in the holy ghost get in the presence of god get in the presence of god it'll do something to you in his presence there's joy treasures forevermore
