open your bibles with me to hebrews chapter number 1 and verse number 13 and 14 and brother erickson if you would tonight i'm gonna need you to help in the dismissal i'm going to be occupied so i'm going to need you to help uh in the dismissal and please don't anyone be dismissed until we dismiss you by the way that we feel is the the best in this season if you have that place in your bible say amen hebrews chapter 1 and verse number 13 but to which of the angels said he at any time sit on my right hand until i make thine enemies thy footstool which of the angels did he say that to well he verse 14 are they speaking of the angels are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation if you put your bibles down bow your heads with me lord jesus you said in your word that the way that a pastor shows his love to you is to feed the sheep lord i've done a lot of soul-searching the last 45 days or so lord i have done a lot of heart-wrenching soul-searching as a pastor to want to make sure that the people that stand before me tonight and the people that are watching online tonight hear something that would help them grow closer to you father i pray tonight i ask you to anoint your servant with the holy ghost that i would be able to speak the eternal word of god into the hearts and the lives of men and women that we would be changed tonight by your word lord i love you and lord i praise you and god i will give you all the glory and all the honor in jesus name i pray and everybody said amen you may be seated i want to teach tonight on a biblical view of the unseen spirit world around us a biblical bible view of the unseen spirit world that we are surrounded with now the reason for this bible study tonight as i prayed 45 days i did a lot of heart searching i did a lot of a lot of thinking about god have i prepared the people for this god if i prepared have i prepared our the people for this and uh i i believe that i've adequately taught you what the name of the father son and holy ghost is i believe i've adequately if you go here any length of time and you don't know what the name of the father son holy ghost in is your name is rick van winkle or something i that's that's all i've noticed that's all i'd know to say but i begin to think about the reason that we should teach a bible lesson about the unseen spiritual world that's around us now i'm not gonna get spooky and goofy on you all right i'm not gonna get i'm not gonna get all kind of spooky and and i say spooky and goofy because there have been some that have taken the unseen world and they see a demon behind every tree they see they they see an angel's face in every cloud that they can they can look at and i i want to address this subject from the word of god and the very reason that we need to address this subject is that as the people of god we must we must know how to interact with the angels the unseen angels that are around us we must we must learn how to how to interact now we'd never pray to angels because that's not biblical it's not biblical to pray to angels but it is biblical that angels are ministering spirits that are sent forth as scripture said tonight to minister to us who are going to be the heirs of salvation so i am i want to be able to interact with angels i i want to be able to understand when angels have come to our aid but also i want to be able to counteract i want to be able to interact with the good angels and i want to be able to counteract the demonic spirits as we walk with god as we walk with god i want to be able to interact with the angels and i want to be able to counteract if there's any demonic activity that's trying to stealth come into my life and to come into your life the word ministering and you saw it in the verses of scripture that i read about the angels the word ministering speaks of a performance or service to a performance or service too you don't want to be left out and i don't either if god has ministering spirits that are sent to minister for them then i want to be i want to avail myself and the church that i pastor i want to avail us to the fact that if god has ministering spirits for us then i want to know how to interact with these ministering spirits the famous bible scholar and bible commentary adam clark says this about angels it's probably not i believe i would be safe to say of any denomination there's probably not a more popular set of commentaries in a pastor's library like adam clark adam clark writes about the angels and he says all the angels even those of the highest order are employed by their creator to serve those who believe in christ jesus what these services are and how perform or how they perform it would be impossible to state much has been written on the subject partly founded on scripture and partly on conjuncture so let's settle this tonight and why don't you say amen at the end of the phrase let's settle this tonight there is the existence of angels there he is as a matter of fact i want to play back on sister carpenter what i said about cornelius if god would answer the prayer of cornelius jesus is about to enter his ministry he was as much divine as he was human and as much human as he was divine it was not the divine part of him that fasted 40 days it was the humanity that fasted 40 days i don't know about you but my flesh doesn't agree with fasting if you're sitting there saying well mine does maybe we need to hold an election tonight and let you be pastor all right flesh doesn't agree with that it's tough to miss a meal come on let's just get real now it's tough to miss a meal sometimes if you know you can't eat it's tough to go 40 minutes without eating when you know you can't oh come on now in matthew chapter 4 and verse number 11 he fasted 40 days and afterward he was a hunger matthew chapter 4 verse number 11 look at this with me then the devil leaveth him and behold angels came and what ministered to who who can you imagine that that angels came and ministered to jesus now one thing we know they didn't minister to was his divinity side they didn't come with any strength in order to encourage divinity i personally believe and it's on my it's just my personal belief that how they ministered to him i believe and this is this it's another we're you're not going to get to heaven and he's going to say well you you didn't believe it the way brother carter said it you're not getting in it's not nothing this is just what i'm saying i personally believe they brought him some water to drink i personally believe they brought him something to eat because how better could you minister to somebody that had just went 40 days without food we know they didn't come and quote scripture to him we know they didn't come and prep pop prop up deity they ministered to the flesh they ministered to his flesh well now let's go to the end of his ministry let's go to the end of his ministry now see what i want to plant the thought in your mind is this if jesus christ was ministered to by angels how much more should y'all know where i'm going now let's go all the way to the end of his ministry he staggers into the garden of gethsemane he prays until his brea sweat became his great drops of blood and in luke chapter 22 verse number 43 something interesting happened he staggers and falls and prays until his sweat became his great drops of blood he agonized if it be thy will and then it says in verse 43 and there appeared unto him an angel and there appeared an angel unto him from heaven what's it say what's those last two words again are we we're all in agreement that angel did not come to strengthen deity that angel came and strengthened his humanity you see we have now the example of good angels good well let me let me kind of correct my my lingo a little bit all angels are good it's those demons that are not good all right so we have the example of the interaction of the angels they're they're ministering they're there performing a service that's what the greek word means when it says the angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister that means to perform a service for we find the two examples in mark 4 11 luke 22 43 angels but now let's find the example of demonic activity now let's be very plain tonight and understand that anytime you have demonic activity it is always destructive in nature it's always destructive in nature it happened in acts chapter 19 the example that i would like to show in acts chapter 19 and verse number 11 and god wrought special miracles by the hand of paul so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs and aprons and the diseases departed from them and the evil spirits went out of them so now god had a man paul he was anointed and they began to take handkerchiefs and pieces of cloth and have faith not in the ministry of paul but in the god that paul preached then it says can you see that with me they didn't have when they got those handkerchiefs and they took those handkerchiefs they didn't they didn't they didn't emphasize paul they emphasized the jesus that paul preached now in verse 13 it takes a turn it says then certain of the vagabond jews exorcists now we can stop there and tell you vagabond means to travel about they were jews they were exorcists that meant these traveling circuit riding jews were used to make a circuit through israel performing exorcism they were casting out they were casting out devils these vagabond jews exorcists took upon them and here's where we see here's where we see it going wrong took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the lord jesus saying we adjure you by jesus whom paul preaches now it would be my opinion that before they heard of paul they had some kind of a ritual that they performed the exorcism they had something they did to to to to to get these evil spirits out of people but obviously when they heard about paul's way they changed their method but they went about it wrong they begin now to approach people with evil spirits and they would say i a juror that's a legal word i endure you in the name of the lord jesus whom paul preacheth that's how they would do it and there were seven sons of one skeva a jew seven of these boys that were in this exorcist and there were seven sons of one skiva a jew and sheep of the priest which did so so you got these seven brothers that are in the devil casting out ministry business they hear about this jesus whom paul preaches and they come up upon one and verse number 15 and they go through their new form of exorcism they say we adjure you by jesus whom paul preaches and the bible said in verse 15 that the evil spirit answered and said jesus i know and paul i know but who are you who are you and the man now notice this follow me closely in verse 15. who speaks who speaks in verse 15. somebody just say it out who who speaks in verse 15. what the evil spirit speaks and that's very important i want you to once you understand it who's doing the speaking evil spirit but look at verse 16 and the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them overcame them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded now verse 15 said the evil spirit spoke but verse 16 said the man leaked my point would be is that evil spirit within the man controlled the behavior of the man the evil spirit spoke but the evil spirit controlled the man this could be seen that one man overcame seven men ripped their clothes off until there was great shame so here we see the two opposites the angels ministering performing a much needed service to aid those serving god the evil spirits they are destructive they're doing everything they can to inhabit for the purpose of misery and for destruction turn with me to matthew chapter 12 verse number 24. an interesting thing here that we can gather they had began to accuse jesus because jesus was casting out devils he was casting out evil spirits and uh in verse number 24 it says but when the pharisees heard it they said this fellows speaking of jesus doth cast out devils by the by belzebub the prince of the devil in other words they said well he's casting out devils we can't deny that but he's doing it by the chief devil beelzebub jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation every city or house divided against itself shall not stand and if satan cast out satan he is divided against himself how shall then his kingdom stand you know what jesus said to them that's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard you all talk about that i would take the spirit of a devil and cast out a devil don't you know that would mean the ruin of the kingdom of the devil because a house divided against itself cannot stand verse 26 and if satan cast out satan he is divided against himself how shall then his kingdom notice the wording his kingdom stand and if i by beelzebub cast out devils by whom do your children cast them out he said now here your children have been casting out devils and you've never accused them of using bales above said if if if i'm using be else above to cast out devil then who do your children cast them out therefore they shall be your judges but if i cast out devils by the spirit of god the kingdom everybody say the kingdom that's very important i'm emphasizing the word kingdom because you know the word kingdom means government it means government and he's he's saying about a government now we know what the word government means is to govern it means to control it means to govern to control now follow along with me keeping that word in mind when we mention the kingdom but if i cast out devils by the spirit of god then the kingdom of god is coming to you or else how can one enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods that word spoil means to take what's in his house except he first bind the strongman and then he will spoil his goods jesus has just told you and i what he came to earth to do he entered into the strong man's house who is that strong man it is satan he entered into his house and greater is he that is within you than he that is in the world that's why we don't need to get scared when we start talking about demonic spirits or i i don't like to talk about that you only get scared if you don't realize the greater power the greater power that is in you so he said i have entered the strong man's house and i have bound up the strong man and then i took his goods you know who what the goods are sister charlotte the goods are the souls of men and women that had no power to get out of satan's kingdom on their own but thank god a stronger than the strong man came to this earth and he bound up the strong man so that he could deliver us let me give you something just to think about i believe that the first time that god entered the strong man's house was in genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and verse 2. and how i how i come up with this how i in my mind of trying to put things together is that satan was a rebel satan was rebellious rebels and rebellious spirits have no limits they have no limits you can't measure how far a rebellious spirit will go it has no limits it has no order i personally believe that when satan in eternity passed reared up his ugly head in rebellion against god and god cast him in one third of the angels out of heaven that he created a place suitable for them it was a dark place it was without form and it was void because it was a place brother naming suitable for him where am i going to throw those spirits and i i think we can even come up with the the little issue of how old the earth is and all of this uh if the earth was created in in in eternity past without form sounds like the devil isn't it void empty sounds like him he likes and you don't want you hang on to that satan likes empty places he likes to live in empty places dark without form and void but the spirit of god moved upon the face of the waters satan's domain was a formless lifeless planet with darkness all around and god entered that lifeless place and god demonstrated his power through his spoken word and right there in satan's house he began to create light and day and stars and life all in the domain of the enemy can i tell you there's some power in the world so i i think i could i want to preach this tonight i want to preach this tonight for just a little bit because there's some of you that you don't live in the most favorable of conditions there's some of you tonight there's some young people that don't go home to a saved mama and a saved daddy and there's some of you tonight that don't go home to things that are anywhere near even perfect but if god could show up on the devil's house and begin to speak his word and begin to create things all the while that satan was there don't you know he can do it again don't you know that he can do it again he entered that house through creation but we know that it wasn't long after the creation of man that satan scored a deadly kill when he convinced the woman to transgress and so now what was made in the image of god has now received that spirit back into them and the entire human race again satan if you keep and score score has now satan's up on god again because now i am the spirit of disobedience in man but satan god has a master mystery plan because he entered your house in the creation of man but let a few thousand years go by and there'll be a little virgin girl on the side of the hill that'll be overshadowed by an angel and the angel's going to tell that little virgin girl that almighty god one more time is going to enter in to man and she says how will this be and the angel said the holy ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee therefore also that holy thing which shall be borne of thee shall be called the son of god and at bethlehem's manger the incarnation and when that little baby was born in the hay in bethlehem's manger satan better look out because the stronger than the strong man has entered the house one more time but this time satan he's going to deal to you the finality of the death blow because the first epistle of john can somebody say amen the first epistle of john chapter 3 and verse number 8 it said he that committeth sin is of the devil that word committed there means to practice that means you're in the domain of the devil you are in the practice of his you are in his kingdom for the devil sinneth from the beginning for this purpose the son of god was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil now stay with me for a moment now in one verse an evil spirit speaks but in the next verse the flesh leaps in one verse the evil spirit lee speaks in the next verse there's the manifestation of the evil spirit in the next verse therefore when god who is a spirit over overshadowed mary robed himself in flesh he came into the strong man's house for one purpose and one purpose alone to destroy the works of the devil what is the works of the devil anything that's destructive sickness is a work of the devil death is a work of the devil division is a work of the devil but praise be to god to the believers of jesus christ tonight we have some angels that have come down to do a ministry to us thank you lord thank you god praise your name he demonstrated his power over every sickness that's right he demonstrated his power over every sickness blind eyes opened deaf ears unstopped dumb tongues were loosed and begin to speak dead people were brought back to life storms were told to shut up all kinds of miracles begin to happen why because spirit was manifested in flesh for the purpose of showing the strong man i've come to plunder your house i have come to tell anyone and if there's anyone tonight that feel that you're in the clutches of the demonic destructive system of the enemy i want you to understand your help is in j e s u s your help is in jesus don't you allow satan to tell you that he's stronger than your habit he is a liar don't you allow the enemy to tell you that he's got more power that you cannot break free from this he is a liar hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah there's only two kingdoms everybody say that with me only two kingdoms said again only two kingdoms on the earth only two kingdoms on the earth the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness you're either governed tonight by light or you're governed by darkness many scriptures bear this out and i think we'll go home on this you're in one of two kingdoms tonight there's not three kingdoms on the earth there's not a neutral kingdom over the carpet i'm just neutral right now oh no you're not you're not neutral right now you are deceived to believe you're in neutral you're not in neutral nobody's in neutral because neutral does not exist you're either living in the government of light that has an innumerable number of angels that are here to perform a service for you to help you go to heaven you're living in the kingdom of darkness where spirits are coming to you to do every destructive thing in your life but i've got good news for you it's your choice which kingdom you're in it's your choice whose kingdom because the heavenly authority the heavenly police showed up on the earth and knocked on your door and said if you want to come out and get in my car and get out of here it's going to be left up to you oh hallelujah oh hallelujah aren't you thankful tonight let's go home with a few scriptures acts chapter 28 18 acts excuse me it's acts chapter 26. verse number 18. here's what the gospel was intended to do to open their eyes and to turn them from what what's the gospel for to turn us from darkness to what like i i don't know kelly is that you back there can we have a little fun tonight no no nobody get up can we have a little fun tonight can you turn all the lights off in this place that's darkness the kingdom of satan she's got to have you in darkness because if you really see him at work he'd be spoiled because the last thing he wants you to know is that he's here to damn your soul he's here to tear you down so do you want to live in this or do you want to live in the light give me light please you want to live in this i like living in this to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light but just in case some of you think i'm fudging on this a little bit from the power of satan unto god that they may receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me oh two kingdoms tonight two powers tonight romans 13 and 12. let's go home with this the night is far spent the day is at hand let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of like let's go home with second corinthians 6 14 be not be be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath life let's go home with let's go home with ephesians five and eight for ye were sometimes darkness but now are ye light in the lord walk as children of light ephesians 5 11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of say it but rather reprove them ephesians 6 12 for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers against the rulers of the darkness of this world against spiritual wickedness in high places let's go home with colossians 1 13. who hath i want you i want us to read it together come on let's read it together who hath delivered us from the power of and have translated us into the kingdom of his dear son oh let's keep on reading first peter chapter 2. man i feel the lord here tonight don't you praise god first peter chapter 2 and verse number 9. let's read it all together but ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a peculiar people that ye should show forth the praises of him who have called you out of darkness into his into his oh and just yes it say light does it it says marvelous light do you know what marvelous means marvelous means miraculous marvelous means miraculous come on would you just worship the lord with me tonight would you stand on your feet and would you thank god that you're living in light would you thank god that you're living in the light hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah now jesus i need you to send some angels god i need you to send some angels god i've got some loved ones that are living in bondage just like peter was in bondage to jail just like peter was in bondage to prison but jesus i need you to send some angels because i've got some loved ones that are in bondage and i need for them to be set free for the evil one has got a hold of their mind and we want the angels god i'm not ugly i'm not praying to the angels god send the angels god oh send the angels lord send the angels lord if you sent an angel and got peter out of prison send an angel and help us because one of the angels shows up the angel is able to say truly so you don't have angel fighting demons you have two representatives so when two angels one one that one an angel it's in the scripture brother erickson there is a scripture account of an angel and a demon that had a conversation and when the demons said we want the body of moses god only knows what this is going to do with that body an angel showed up and an angel did not say you ain't getting that body i'm telling you right now and an angel on demon didn't get in a tussle match for the body of moses it was one angel represented his head and the demon represented his head and the angel said the lord rebuked you and when that angel said to that demon the lord rebuked you he didn't say back but satan rebuked you because even the demons had enough sense to know when they're beat even the demons knew i can't match that he may have turned around to another legion of demons and they all shook their head and say don't touch it because he's like he's he's he he may bind us up before our time don't don't don't touch it can i tell you tonight that you're going to hear in the weeks to come about ministering spirits that we can ask god to do things for us because that evil spirit we'll have to give way when that angel speaks at least i'm going to tell you at least you say are you telling me if i'm going to pray and i've got a loved one that's in bondage you're telling me that 100 they're coming out no i can't tell you that the only thing i can tell you is god will send an angel to that door and let your loved one or whoever know you can come out if you want to you can come out if you want to because there's one there's two kingdoms i'm closing there's two kingdoms but there's only one choice you have to choose which it is as brother erickson comes just for a moment his brother erickson comes would you just lift up your hands and pray to god that you're in the kingdom of light the word of god the kingdom of light i thank you god i thank you
