turn with me to the book of matthew chapter number 24 and verse number one matthew chapter 24 and verse number one and jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple and jesus said unto them see ye not all these things verily i say unto you that there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down for a few moments today i want to minister a bible lesson on the subject a reminder of our redeemer's return a reminder of our redeemer's return father i love you this morning i believe that you're going to move upon the word i believe god that you're going to move up on our minds and the times that we're living lord you have everything in your control lord i believe by faith that there is nothing god there is nothing that's happening right now on our world that god does not play into the grand scheme of your plan lord i ask you this morning to anoint me that i may feed and lead your sheep in jesus name i pray amen you may be seated a reminder of our redeemers return sister carpenter and i are blessed with wonderful neighbors wonderful neighbors and we're not only referring to our children that are our neighbors i am been blessed recently by having daily a visitation from the most beautiful georgia bulldog you've ever seen he comes right to my house i had to get him out of my garage last night it's amazing what bologna sam's choice will help a dog come to somewhere you know we're blessed with beautiful neighbors across the street from us as mother thorpe and i if i leave anyone out today i it's it's it's strictly by slip of the mind we're blessed with some neighbors in our neighborhood brother and sister zeander and when sister xender's health permits they'll hit the road and they may drive to south carolina and bring fresh south carolina peaches back to the house or we may walk outside one morning and find a bucket of strawberries on our on our porch and of course like neighbors should hospitality shouldn't go just one way and i snuck that one in on you all right shouldn't be just one way we we found out that there was a certain orange that only comes into season for a few weeks and we found out that was their favorite oranges and so when we were at um i believe um whole food on friday evening those oranges had come in and we thought of mother zeander and brothers he enduring so we bought them a small bag of those and and um i delivered them to their door probably around nine o'clock friday night and um you know there are some things that i know weeks in advance god's given me a message and i know on monday what i'm going to preach on sunday or i know for weeks what i'm right now we're on a series on wednesday nights called a journey the journey and we're going back over sister wells we're going back over the doctrine we talked about the name of jesus on on wednesday evening but this past week i was a little unsure of what i was going to preach praying and meditating in my mind of what the need of the hour would be for the church and i delivered the oranges to the zeendra's door and brothers the ender came out and the conversation quickly turned to the war in russia or ukraine and brother zeander made a statement because they've been in church uh matter of fact him and sister zeander met for the first time in the nursery class in south bend indiana all right g.b rowell was the pastor at that time and so they've been in church all their life just about and brother zender made a statement to me he said growing up he said brother g.b rowell brother andrew urschen a lot of the the pioneer apostolic preachers he said they all had one thing they would say they said the end of time in the end would all be about the oil he said way back in g.b rile's day and andrew erson's day he said these these these men would get up and preach the the end of time would be marked by a battle that had to do with who controlled the oil who controlled the oil brothers and sisters are we not seeing this being lived out right before our eyes this evening control would be about the oil and you could control if you had the oil well i didn't tell brother zeander but i walked off of his porch pretty well knowing because of that stab in my heart by the spirit that i was going to give the church a reminder of the redeemer's return i was going to remind the church on the sunday morning there's no greater subject that could lift us up in times such as this as the subject of the redeemer's return jesus in matthew 24 and verse 1 they had went to the temple and that's an interesting verse to begin with they had went to the temple and were leaving the temple and may i go ahead and tell you that the spiritual condition of the temple was not good you do remember that there was an occasion that the lord came in and cleansed the temple because they had taken the house of prayer and made it a den of thieves he enters the temple and he leaves the temple and the temple was the temple was a source of tremendous jewish pride let me give you a little bit of facts about the temple josephus writes and says that it took eight whole years together thousand men worked on this temple they were employed for eight years ten thousand men were employed with no with no other job description but to make sure it's magnificent and it's stately now they were not the stone layers they were 10 000 men that had one job description this temple must be magnificent this temple can you imagine 10 000 sister carpenters 10 000 men they didn't labor it they didn't saw timber they were ten thousand men that their main job description was this temple's got to be magnificent it's got to be stately herod which is called herod's temple he enlarged zerubbabel's temple herod's temple was 500 yards long four yards wide it was so beautiful that the jewish historian josephus said that the temple was covered with gold plates josephus wrote and said when the sun hit the temple at a right angle it was blinding to the eye that you would have to shield your eyes not only was covered with gold plates but where there was no gold they used blocks of pure white marble and from a distance strangers would believe that the temple had been covered with gold and snow this temple was magnificent they showed jesus the temple and they're showing him the buildings culturally culturally the bible states that it was so ingrained in them the patriotic desire and love for the temple that if you said something against the temple that it was equal to blaspheming god that's how strong they felt about the temple so in verse 2 they came to jesus for to show him the buildings of the temple and in verse 2 jesus said let's turn around and let's look at all these buildings 500 yards long 400 yards wide covered with gold and marble stone he said let's turn and look never had there been a building built this magnificent jesus said let's turn around and let's look he said do you see these buildings and i believe they gave the affirmation of yes and then he said there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down you see today there is man's view and there's the prophetic eye of god that sees things that are to come not in the message but let me throw it in that's why every prayer you pray that has to do with your future you need to acknowledge god and say god you and you alone know what my future holds god if this is not a good decision for me to get involved in lord shut every door because you and you alone god know what this future what my future holds he said there shall not be another stone said you see all of this said the day is coming when there will not be one stone here left upon another the day is coming when jerusalem and it did come will be so scattered the stones will be so scattered that they couldn't even find the correct foundation of the temple well why would this be scattered why would there be such devastation come to our temple luke chapter 19 hold your place in mark or excuse me matthew 24 hold your place there but turn over to matthew to luke 19 and verse 41 because luke is going to tell us why the temple is going to be destroyed in luke 19 41 and when he was come near he beheld jesus beheld the city and he wept over it he beheld the city and the temple he wept over it saying if thou had known even thou at least in this thy day he said it's your day if you only knew about your day the things which belong unto thy peace but now they are hid from thine eyes now what he's referring to in that verse is they had their day of recognizing god in human flesh they had their day of reconcil recognizing the messiah they had their day god himself came born in bethlehem he came as one of them he came into his own and his own received him not he came to help them he came to bless them ultimately he came to save them but you know the story don't you he came into his own and his own received him not they not only rejected him as the son of god they not only rejected him but they had such hatred in their heart when they had the opportunity for him to be released and a murderer and robber barabbas be released crucified in his place they cried out crucify him and give us barabbas and jesus cries because they're blinded they don't see his day they don't recognize hit the opportunity they have they don't recognize that their messiah the long-awaited messiah has come and they don't recognize him he weeps over this and he says in verse 43 of chapter 19 for the days shall come upon thee that thine enemy shall cast a trench about thee and can pass thee round about and keep thee in on every side and shall lay thee even with the ground and thy children within thee and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation they looked and said look at our beautiful temple but jesus through the eye of prophecy said they're going to take me and they're going to crucify me they're going to spit on me they're going to smack me they're going to bruise me about my face yes they're going to nail me to a timber and they're going to crucify me and because of this there will be great judgment that will come to this city because of this because they treated god's literal temple in a destructive way god said you're not going to enjoy the literal temple that you have here herod's temple they crucified him but 40 years later 40 years later titus the roman king the roman captain history tells us that titus surrounded jerusalem and knowing that the city was defenseless soldiers became drunk soldiers entered the city raping and ripping children with the sword part of the jewish people ran into that temple for safety the historian josephus writes that drunken roman soldiers lit fire to the temple and that the fire burnt with such heat that the gold began to drip and run in the crevices of the stones titus that would be so money-hungry within order after he had devastated jerusalem he would then turn his drunken soldiers to get chisels and hammers and they would turn every stone upside down chiseling gold from that thus as jesus had said the temple was destroyed it was destroyed because of their treatment of him crucifying him we do know that in the old testament we have examples of this in ii chronicles 36 and verse 15 and the lord god of their fathers sent to them by his messengers rising up between times and sending because god had compassion on his people and on his dwelling place god sent backslidden wayward israel preacher after prophet after preacher that would preach to them and they had one message repent return repent return but look how they treated god's vessels but they mocked the messengers of god and despised his words and misused his prophets until the wrath of the lord arose against his people till there was no remedy i want you to know that's a pretty pitiful place to get to where even god says there's no remedy for you oh that's why i want to value god's word this sunday morning well we're living in troubled times but i've come just for a few moments to remind you of the return of our redeemer i've come for a few moments let's turn the news off let's turn everything off let's find out let's not be concerned with how many planes have come down and let's be concerned today with the precious infallible word of the living god could we treat it with honor this morning could we treat him with honor today you see today the jewish people the jewish people as a whole are spiritually blinded today because of how they treated the messiah 2000 years ago their descendants are spiritually blind today because of how their ancestors treated the messiah romans 11 and 25 paul says it this way romans 11 25 for i would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery lest you should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part is happened to israel until the time until the fullness of the gentiles become in now this mystery here was that god was not only coming to save the jewish people his own the seed of abraham but god was coming the mystery was that god was going to take the seed of abraham and the gentile race and bring them together in the born-again experience and create the bride of christ but because the jewish people 2 000 years ago rejected him and crucified him god placed a veil over their eyes he placed a covering over their eyes here's the covering second corinthians chapter 3 verse number 12. here's the covering follow it closely seeing then that we have such hope second corinthians 3 12 we use great plainness of speech not as moses which put a veil over his face that the children of israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which is abolished but their minds were blinded for unto this day remain at the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament which veil is done away in christ and even unto this day when moses is read the veil is upon their heart nevertheless when it shall turn to the lord the veil shall be taken away now the lord is that spirit where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty but we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the spirit of our god now let me tell you why that's there moses represented the old testament law moses went into the presence of god and unbeknowing to moses the shekinah glory of god began to radiate off of moses brother nolan he this man moses was in the presence of god and the shekinah glory of god radiated from him moses came down to talk to the people and he noticed that the people were afraid of him from moses did not understand that his face did shine and so the people requested when you speak to us moses put a veil over your face put a veil over your face and speak to us through the veil and thus moses did he placed a veil over his face and he spoke with them through the veil now we understand something that happened when jesus died on calvary there was something in the temple that got rent from the top to the bottom which is the veil you see in the old testament there was a veil that concealed the plan and the fullness of god god came in the veil of flesh but because they refuse to see jesus for who he is and who he was to this day the jewish people only have the first five books of the bible they believe in the first five books of the bible but they cannot see christ in the first five books of the bible can i tell you prophetically you can preach and find jesus christ in the first five books of the bible you can find him in the first book of the bible he was the promise that god made to eve that the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent jesus christ was that seed but because they rejected him can you hear him around the cross if you're god come down and we will believe he saved others let him save himself if he be the son of god they rejected him and because they rejected him god remains with a veil on their eyes to this day god put it there how long until the rapture of the gentile church and when the fullness of the gentile church comes in and god raptures his gentile church the tribulation takes place god will descend with his church and this is where a lot of people there are two comings and this is where a lot of people get real confused with bible prophecy there's actually two comings to this earth one he comes for his church that's called the rapture the second one he comes to the earth with his church that's called the end of tribulation and the bible says that on that day zachariah said we shall look upon him whom we have pierced we shall look upon the messiah and there shall be a fountain opened in jerusalem and he talks about the blood of the lamb of god and god is going to remove the veil from their eyes and they're going to see this jesus they rejected 2 000 years ago this jesus that they have not accepted he is messiah he is the lord he is adonai can somebody say amen he is the lord he is anonym you see going back to matthew 24 he says not one stone is going to be left upon another it's interesting that he makes his way to church in matthew 24 3. the bible said and as he said upon the mount of olives that's interesting there because the mount of olives is where his foot is going to touch when he comes back to the earth that's the place he left from and that's the place he's coming back to so we understand there's some spiritual significance here he set up on the mount of olives the disciples came unto him privately saying tell us when shall these things be what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world you can break this down into two or three questions they we're asking tell us when it's going to happen with the temple tell us when you're coming and of the end of the world all right this is not one event this is three separate events the temple now we know one of those events have already taken place it's in the history books a.d 70 80 70 titus kane and totally destroyed jerusalem i want to tell you something an interesting thing it's not in my sermon notes but it is interesting do you know that paul peter and the apostle john was still writing they were alive when the temple was destroyed they were riding when the temple was destroyed do you know those writers never write anything about that interesting isn't it you would think with their city being leveled that that would be the talk of everything right no there was something more important to peter and john paul what could that be preaching the gospel there's something more important today with financial prosperity that's preaching the gospel there's something more important today than just teaching you to think positive and and look on the bright side it's bible salvation but what good would it do for us to preach prosperity from this pulpit how to have a happy life and believe in yourself if all the while you were not ready for the return of our redeemer i say today the most important job in all the world and the most important message in all the world preach the gospel if money would help people rich people would be happy if prosperity would help people americans would be the happiest people on the earth can you say amen tell us when these things shall be a sign of thy coming and of the end of the world and jesus answered and said unto them take heed that no man deceive you now isn't that amazing before he answers any of them questions he said the first thing i want you to know is beware of being deceived i said at the quartet convention the other night and i heard several songs that made reference to our government taking our bibles away from us and i do declare that i am not one bit of frightened and concerned about the government taking my bible as i am about believers not reading their bible why does the devil want to take something away from us that we're not reading it sounds like to me we're doing his job already do you know the only way you can know that you're not being deceived read your bible read your bible because that's the first thing you want to talk about prior to uh i'm a little interested today the pastor's talking about prophecy oh yummy yummy yummy i want to hear some of this we'll hear you're hearing it don't get me deceived well how can i not be deceived read your bible read your bible follow along with the preacher follow along with him make sure that what he's teaching is the word of god so well why because your soul depends on it your family depends on it he said don't be deceived can i just tell you that in psalms 119 105 listen to this psalms 119 105 thy word is a lamp and to my feet and a light unto my path you know what our word is our word is our flashlight if i don't read the word i'm in the dark if i don't read the word no wonder my mindset is i don't know who i am i don't know where i'm going i don't know i don't know you know why you don't know you're in the dark because the word gives us the light he gives us the light the word helps us to know who we are and the word helps us to know what we need to be doing it's a word it's a word you're in the dark without the word you're in the dark i can't help you i can't help you without the study of the word everybody ought to own a bible everybody ought to have a personal bible you have i have a bible that's with you it ought to be closer to you than you keep your cell phone and i'm not mad today i may be a little sturdy but i'm not mad but i've had very few people come back to the church after it was closed looking for their bible but i can show you a long list of people that call and say could you open the church back up i think i left my cell phone there can we hold our bibles closer than our cell phone because it's the only way you're going to know you're not being deceived so i i just don't but i i it it it amazes me people say well in saying they don't have to be baptized in jesus name i've had them say well i just believe you ought to obey the ten commandments be saved that's all i believe now and i just kindly cutely say quote them and you do good at getting three of them so they're claiming that what the word says isn't right and something they can't even quote is before you get real prideful and stubborn start saying what you don't believe in have a little bible to back it up if you don't believe in holiness you ought to at least have a little book to back it up and so i'll tell you i don't believe in holiness because of this scripture right here but if you do believe in holiness and you do have the scripture then be willing to stand up and say i do this because the bible says well why'd you go down there and get baptized in jesus name because the bible says well why'd you go down there and start talking in tongues because the bible says well why do y'all go to church on it because the bible says i'll tell you something else a people have a lack of anticipation that things are going to get better because they don't read their bible and they say it again they have a lack of expectation they have a lack of it have a lack of an expectation that things are going to get better because they don't read their bible but if you'll read your bible let me tell you what second peter 1 19 says about reading your bible second peter 1 19 says it this way we have also a more sure word a prophecy whereunto ye do well that you take heed he's talking about the word he said you do yourself a favor to take heed as into a light that shineth in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in your heart peter is using the analogy of the sun coming up and the sun arising at new day he says if you'll begin to read the word of god if you'll begin to believe the word of god it's like the sun coming up in the morning it's coming up and it's getting brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter church if you'll begin to read the word of god come to church on sunday morning come to church on sunday night come on wednesday night for bible study i promise you your life will become brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter come on let's give him praise in the house of the lord this morning whoa hallelujah hallelujah jesus said going back to matthew 24 4 jesus answered and said unto them take heed that no man deceived you for many shall come in my name saying i am christ and shall deceive many notice he didn't say they will come and say i am the christ they will say i am christ christ simply means anointed i'm anointed to lead you he said there's going to come many that are going to say i am christ i'm a leader i'm an anointed leader and they're going to deceive many ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars sound familiar see that you be not troubled two be nights two of them tie not in the two be nots the first not is be not deceived and the second not is be not troubled we have too many people that are allowing wars and rumors of wars and pandemics and all this to so trouble them they're becoming hermits in their homes afraid to go out going to live the closing days of their lives locked up in a stuffy living room somewhere i've come to tell you about the return of the redeemer and he told you be not troubled come on lift up your head church come on lift up your head be not trouble i know there's war in russia i know we got a mad man who's got his finger on a nuclear bomb but i am not going to allow a madman to overcome my faith in the living god lift up your head come on church let me hear a war cry let me hear a shout of a king among us today be not troubled be not troubled be not troubled for all these things for all these things must come to pass but the end is not yet i find myself every time i'm praying for russia to retreat i'm praying i i wake up first thing in the morning turn the news on because i want to hear so desperately that they've turned and and these these refugees are coming home and every time i think this i hear this verse in my mind for these things must come to pass i'm sorry it's only heaven that things are happy everlasting that's only heaven it's not down here it's not going to end well down here verse 7 the nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom there shall be famines and pestilence and earthquakes and diverse places all these are the beginnings of sorrow they shall deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be hated of all nations for my namesake i believe that part of this could have been fulfilled could have been fulfilled under titus 40 years later there were christians read the book of hebrews there were christians that were fed to the lions sawn asunder well they must not have been in the will of god no no don't say that because you got in your mind the american way that everything is supposed to end off prosper prosperously for you some of these people went directly into the presence of god then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake and then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another can i tell you something although there's passages here that i don't believe are attached to the church but i do believe we can learn something do you know that when great tribulation came they became offended and betrayed one another the lack of loyalty was there you see brothers and sisters of the apostolic faith we ought to be loyal to this message we ought to be loyal to this message i have people who come to me and they think they're giving me a compliment but i'm quickly to change it they'll come up and they'll say pastor i got your back i got you back and i sweetly tell them i don't want you to have my back i want you to have my heart because having the back means that oh i'm not going to let anybody talk about my pastor i get that i understand that but you know what i want most of all matter of fact somebody's gossiping about me thank god they're giving some other poor soul rest you know that's how i kind of see that you know i want you to have my heart we ought to believe this truth when you stick us we ought to believe truth when you shake us we ought to we ought to bleed word when trials come to us and things start getting shook up and you stab me all to believe this word i'll never leave you i'll never forsake you i'll be with you unto the end oh to bleed this thing and many shall be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another and many false prophets shall rise and deceive many do you know that in times of offense you need to beware of false prophets somebody when you get offended that's going to slip around and give you a little word well i got a rebuke from the word but brother the prophet so and so come up and told me i was right in god's will you better be careful because in the day that we're living in the false prophets shall deceive many and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax coat and we'll stop there for a moment our love for god thank god i do not attend a church where our praise leaders have to cheer you up and get some pom-poms on and give me a j give me an e give me an s give me a u give me an s no no we don't have any of that business here i'm glad brother perry i attend the church that when the praise team gets up here people begin to worship god they begin to worship god you may find somebody in the altar you may find somebody running the aisles come on as cold as it gets in the world let's keep the love for god going let's keep the love of god going but let's not only keep the love of god going let's keep the love for one another going we need one another we need to pray for one another oh in the name of jesus today but he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved and this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations and then shall the end come when ye therefore shall see the desolation the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel the prophet stand in the holy place whosoever read it let him understand let him understand now what this verse is talking about right here during the tribulation there's going to be another temple built in jerusalem there's going to be another temple built in jerusalem it's not there right now all they have is the wailing wall that's all they have right now it's a waiting wall but there is going to be another temple built in jerusalem now it can't happen yeah and they said the american embassy couldn't go to jerusalem either but it did somehow someway they're going to be allowed to build that next temple you know why they're going to build it because they believe they have to resume the old testament mosaic sacrifices in order for the messiah to come so they're going to open up that temple and can you imagine a day we have more sympathy there is more tear-jerking commercials over a dog and i'm a dog lover too y'all seen them there's more tear-jerking commercials over a one-eyed cat over a dog that's not been fed people just give give give but they're killing babies in the womb can't y'all see how this is going to line up you brother fuller you think they hate these jews now you wait to these tree huggers witness on national tv a little lamb being brought to an altar and they slit its throat and blood pores you wait till they start skinning calves and offering another you're going to see the world in rage but it's in that climate that the antichrist is going to come he is going to take jerusalem over and that filthy antichrist is going to walk in to that temple and proclaim himself the god of this world watch what happens then let them which be in judea flee unto the mountains let him that is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes woe unto them that are with child and with them that gives suck in those days pray that your flight be not in the winter nor on the sabbath day for then shall there be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time no nor ever shall be and except those days shall be shortened there shall no flesh be saved for for but for the elect's sake till those days be short and let me tell you now this is talking about them the church is in heaven the church has been raptured but i do believe that there's a spiritual grain of truth that we can take the tribulation's going to be so bad that god is going to have to dial back the days he's going to have to shorten a little bit because if he doesn't shorten it even the elect is not going to be saved i say this morning that if god can shorten the days of tribulation for his people he knows what you're going through today and he knows just how much you can take he knows just what you can go through and if he has to he'll dial back the days and say enough is enough somebody help me praise him this morning i just want to come for a few moments and remind you of the return of our redeemer verse number 23 then if any man shall say unto thee unto you lo hears christ or there believe it not for there shall arise false christs false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect behold i have told you before wherefore if they shall say unto you behold he is in the desert go not forth behold he is in the secret chambers believe it or not whereas the lightning and what these verses are talking about during the tribulation of the rapture's already happened we'll say well i wish you could tell me about the rapture i i am he's coming as a thief in the night short paragraph be ready earthquakes are not for you church pestilence are not for you no what's for you is be ready if you're not ready this morning you better get ready because nothing has to happen for god to sound the trumpet to take his church out of here nothing happened nothing has to happen this is talking about those during the tribulation and they will begin to say during the tribulation come on up in the mountains the lord is up in the mountains he said don't go with them oh come in the secret chambers the lord is in the secret chambers he said don't don't don't don't don't call him for as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even into the west even so also shall the coming of the son of man be you know it is going to come quickly just like he comes quickly for the church in the moment in the twinkling of an eye he's saying to those jews he's saying to these people when they start telling you he's in the mountains come on up here said don't believe it come on in the secret chambers he's in the secret chamber don't believe it but he said i'm going to tell you what it's going to be like it's going to be like lightning that flashes instantly from one side of the heavens to the next and verse 28 a verse that a verse that people stagger at because they it is it just doesn't fit for wheresoever the carcass is there will the eagles east is from the west i have become justified god doesn't remember those sins anymore i believe that and i'll tell you what else i believe i believe with all of my heart that god made me a promise to fill me with the baptism of the holy ghost it baffles me some people that can believe in demon possession but not give much credit to god possession what happens when you're demon-possessed you do wicked things you do destructive things why because the demons have a hold of you but what happens when god gets a hold of you you start doing god things things you look back and say i can't believe
