have your bibles turn with me tonight we are here to study our bibles if you have your bibles turn with me to the book of genesis chapter number three verse number seven praise god praise god to all of our guests what an honor it is for you to be with us tonight we hope you feel the warm welcome of this church family but most of all we hope you feel the warm welcome of the lord amen genesis chapter 3 and verse number 7 and the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons and they heard the voice of the lord god walking in the garden in the cool of the day and adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the lord god among the trees of the garden and the lord god called unto adam and said unto him where art thou and he said i heard thy voice in the garden and i was afraid because i was naked and i hid myself i hid myself i'm continuing the study of the defunding of parenthood the defunding of parenthood father i ask you tonight lord that you would anoint my heart god as the pastor of this church and feeling the poles of the ark of the covenant upon my shoulder feeling o god the way of the breastplate upon my chest god the crown upon my head of holiness unto you god i ask you tonight to help me do the one thing that i can show you that i love you lord you said to peter if you love me peter feed my sheep god help me tonight to feed the sheep that are gathered here lord i pray this evening lord that your word will be anointed through my lips god not for the glory of man but lord for your glory i ask you tonight to touch us jesus name we all pray amen and amen god bless you for standing you may be seated the first parents adam and eve is what i want to spend my bible lesson on tonight adam and eve our first parents and i want to examine tonight and i have had the most unusual train of thought today church because i am not going to be examining the one thing they did wrong they did one thing wrong and that is they disobeyed god they ate of the tree and uh that one thing they did wrong many times that's all adam and eve that's all that we preach or teach about them is the one thing they did wrong but tonight i have spent the afternoon i've spent the day from a different angle on adam and eve our first parents i'm going to highlight tonight the things they did right they did a lot of things right and i believe that we need to examine them tonight the things that they did that they did right if we don't watch it if we don't watch it human nature is to focus in on the one thing a person done that that's done this wrong and then if we just focus on that for there then it will eclipse all that they've done good so adam and eve i want to look at them tonight from the angle of the things that they did that was right well the first thing now this is after the one thing they did wrong verse number seven says and the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were they were naked or they were ashamed they they were ashamed they knew that they were naked and they were ashamed adam and eve are a lot better than a lot of people today because a lot of people today go naked and they're not ashamed is that not the truth at least our first parents when they realized they were naked they were ashamed of it now i know we could talk about their fall but i think it's a good thing when a person sins that they can feel shame shame is because you have a conscience if you have a conscience that's working you will have shame now if you don't have a conscience that's working there will be no shame as a matter of fact that's why people have no shame over sin is their conscience is not functioning the way that it should function the bible speaks to us in first timothy chapter four and verse number two and in first timothy chapter four and verse number two it speaks about a people that i never want to fall in this category said these people are speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience seared with a hot iron branded branded seared the branding process of searing the height of an animal to market to mark that animal they sear that animal with a hot iron and uh the fact about it is is that brand that that brand that is raised up from the height of that animal that skin that is raised from that burning all the nerve endings in the brand are dead which means that that animal can feel no pain where the branding is at they can feel no pain where the branding is at someone that would have their conscience seared with a hot iron oh i never want that that'd be something that's something we ought to add to our prayer list god don't ever let my conscience become seared with a hot iron god help me to always be able to feel you lord not just when i need a blessing but god when i go wrong please lord help me to be able to feel your presence help me to be able to feel you lord well the bible also says and i don't want to have a conscience that's seared with a hot iron but it also says in hebrews chapter 10 verse number 22 here's another group of people hebrews 10 verse 22 it says let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience now i don't want to have a conscience that's seared neither do i want to have a conscience that is evil now our first parents after they fell in sin they knew they were naked they had shame come upon them they had shame come upon them because they had a conscience something to pray about tonight you ought to always be praying god let me have a good conscience god let me ha inside lord let me have a let me have a good conscience god now in jeremiah chapter 6 and verse number 15. i'm kind of giving you some groups of people that you want to pray never to be like listen to jeremiah chapter 6 and verse 15. god says about his people israel he says were they ashamed when they had committed abomination that's a question and then god answers it what's the next word he asked the question he said they committed abominations and then he said were they ashamed then he answers it right and his answer is nay no they were not ashamed they were not at all ashamed neither could blush therefore they shall fall among them that fall at the time that i visit them they shall be cast down saith the lord god is going to visit this earth in judgment and i don't want to be among those that cannot blush i don't want to be among those that can commit abomination and not be ashamed look with me again to jeremiah chapter 8 verse number 12. kind of the same verse just a little alteration here he says were they ashamed when they had committed abomination again nay they were not at all ashamed neither could they blush therefore shall they fall among them that fall in the time in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down now again god is showing us that if we are so seared that we cannot feel shame at the presence of sin that we will fall when the world falls and again jeremiah 3 and verse number 3 therefore the showers have been withholding and there have been no latter rain and thou had us a horse forehead thou refuseth to be a shame you've got a brazen look about you that's that's what he means by a forehead you've got a brazen glaring look when it comes to being confronted with your sin and god says that's why i have withheld the blessings from your life now i'm i'm emphasizing something good about adam and eve they felt shame when they disobeyed when they disobeyed god here's another thing i want to bring to your attention here's another thing i want to bring to your attention the naked truth of failure what do we do with failure whether you would raise your hand tonight it really doesn't matter god knows that every person in here tonight and those watching by way of the internet that we have at uh we all all of us have in some form or fashion failed god that's the naked truth all right that's the that's the naked truth we all in some form or fashion have failed god yet there is another failure that is far far worse church than the first and that is the failure to try again to try again if you never try again after you fail that's a worse failure than the first failure because you fail to try again too many times people allow their first failure to be their tombstone it's their tombstone they might as well have a big tombstone over their head when they come in the house of god because they they want to be known or they have not allowed god to help them and they wear a big tombstone around their head because i failed you know what i i refuse to allow my failure to be my tombstone but rather i'm gonna let my failure be my textbook i'm not going to let my failure tell when i failed and when i died i'm going to open it up like a textbook and say god i'm going to try again i'm going to try again to live for you god i'm going to try again to walk up rightly before you god aren't you thankful that he's a god of a second chance why don't you praise him right now that he's a god of a second chance well adam and eve go back with me to genesis chapter 3 verse 7. the eyes of them both were open they knew they were naked and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves and made themselves aprons what'd they do that for they're trying to get back to where they were they're trying to cover their nakedness now i understand adam and eve it falls so short of where you were but at least they tried at least they tried i mean i know that fig leaves yeah i i understand how it can be in typology well that's man trying to work his way and all that but come on church at least our first parents could be ashamed and at least our first parents would try i mean they would try to cover their shame you know i think that god honors something about a person when he can see them trying you know even you and i will have compassion on somebody and we'll even try to help somebody when we see them do you think our love and compassion is greater than god if you and i are moved when we see someone trying and we want to lend a hand to them how much more our god when he looked down from heaven and he saw what adam and eve had done and he saw them getting fig leaves and putting them together and trying to weave them together i'm telling you it moved the heart of god because they were trying they were trying and so that's why we have i personally believe that's why we have verse 7 or verse 8 excuse me i believe that's why we have verse 8 is because verse 7 they were trying verse 8 and they heard the voice of the lord god walking in the garden in the cool of the day you see why did god come down because god saw them try and so god comes down they heard the voice of the lord god walking in the garden in the cool of the day and adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the lord god among the trees of the garden now follow this closely their shame caused them to try to correct their mistake their sin god took notice and comes down and now they manifest their respect for god they're hiding among their hiding among the trees was a manifestation that they respected god he's a holy god he's a righteous god i'm not just going to be brazen and bold and stand out there in my sin i'm going to show my respect for god i'm going to show my honor for god by hiding from the presence of god can i tell you our first parents adam and eve yes they failed miserably but at least they could feel shame yes they failed miserably but at least they would try that at least they would try they failed miserably but at least they would try yes they failed miserably but at least they would show honor and respect to god i don't know about you but i want to take me some hints and some notes tonight from the first parents i want to always be able to feel shame about sin about failure and i don't want my shame to lead me to condemnation i want my shame to lead me to try again get up again pray again go again worship again read the bible again start giving again start working again amen they at least showed that they had respect for god the shame the shamed man out of fear now follow this i believe there's some typology here i believe there's some typology here he's a shamed man he is a reverent man toward god so when god shows up the shamed man places a tree between him and his god the shamed man out of fear would place a tree between him and his god i understand that look at that there's a tree he's a shameful man he's a sinful man he's a respectful man and so he puts a tree between him and his god church 4 000 years later an innocent man would hang on a tree so that the sinful man might seek him and find peace isn't that beautiful in the old testament brother white a sinful man put a tree between him and a searching god but in the new testament god in flesh hung on a tree so that seeking man could come to that cross and find help in the time of need oh don't we love jesus tonight don't we love jesus tonight he's the only one that can help us with our shame he cannot he's the only one that can help us with our condemnation oh yes there's a lot of good needs to be said about our first parents our first parents were honest before god our first parents were honest before god how do you how do you get that genesis 3 11. genesis 3 11 god said who told you that you were naked have you eaten of the tree whereof i commanded that thou should us not eat and the man was honest you know a lot of people can never be helped in life a lot of parents can never be helped because they're not honest they're just not honest they want to they want now now i know we we may think that adam is doing a little blame game here but but he's really not he's really not god said i want to know who told you did you eat of that tree adam adam said the woman that thou gave this to me she gave it me of the tree and i did eat you say a lot of you can see a lot you you say you say a lot about about people but if you can't say they're honest you can't help them now i really don't believe it's going to be a i'll run message tonight all right but there's a lot of things we come down here and pray about and i often stand and look and wonder god i wish you'd help them make the right decisions they don't need a chill bump they don't even need to be slain laid in the floor they need something to touch them between their ears to make the right decisions when they leave here and you've got to be honest you just got to be honest because you can't help people that are not honest he god said did you eat of that tree and and our first parent our first father he said i ate i ate of that tree you see he admitted he's wrong that's right the bible says blessed is the man that will swear to his own hurt you see no one ever gets by telling a lie you may temporarily get some kind of short-term advantage down here on this earth but can i tell you we'll stand before god you'll stand before god and that's listen you would far rather be found out here and be able to repent than to momentarily squeeze by down here and then one day stand before god do you know the best thing you can pray about tonight well i'm giving you a lot of things to add to your prayer list god let me be honest let me just be honest god yes i'm in the predicament that i'm in because i ate of the tree how god can help people yeah i ate of the tree and um verse number 13 and the lord god said unto the woman what is this that thou has done and the woman said the serpent beguiled me and what i did eat dishonest confession you know i think a lot of people don't realize that honesty activates power in the spiritual realm in the spiritual realm there is power activated when we're honest sinful man stood before holy god and was honest with holy god and said i did eat and then watch what happens in verse number 14 and the lord god said unto the serpent see how honesty triggers the spirit world demonic spirits demonic spirits feed on lies and dishonesty demonic spirits feed on lies and dishonesty no one ever gets helped living a life of lies and dishonesty but let a man or a woman regardless to the depths of sin they have fallen stand before a holy god and say god i did eat and immediately god begins to address the tempter god begins to address the cause and the bible says in the lord god said unto the serpent because thou hast done this thou art cursed above all cattle and above every beast of the field upon thy belly shalt thou go and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life now he is addressing that serpent that snake we still see them today and they are a testimony to the curse because they are doing the snake is doing exactly what god cursed it in verse number 14 but verse 15 deals with the spirit lucifer and i will put enmity between thee and the woman between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel this is the very first promise of the messiah of the savior jesus christ the seed of the serpent was that we by nature are children of wrath we are born in sin we don't become sinners brother brandon we don't become sinners we are born sinners because we have that a damnit nature but god said that the woman is going to produce a seed and we know that that seed came 4 000 years later when god wrapped himself in flesh and walked among us and hung on a cross and through the cross we have our victory through the cross we have been made more than conquerors there is nothing in this world that satan can tempt us with that if we've got a good relationship with the god of the cross that we cannot conquer because his heel was bruised that satan's head would be destroyed after he cursed the serpent and gave us gave a promise of hope our first parents had a had a life that was hard but they had a life filled with hope now is that not a good description of all of our lives life is hard but life has hope life is hard we all just you know we don't need to get this this plastic stuff of trying to you know name it and claim it blab it and grab it believe it and receive it that's phony stuff okay i i uh uh there's a lady one time i met her in the hospital and i just i just started having to wear glasses and uh i went in the hospital room and and and uh she she got into some kick about well would you you don't need to accept that i thought well okay i don't need she said would you take your glasses off i want to pray for you i said sure i took my glasses off and and she said i want to pray for you and she prayed for me there in the room i went there to pray for her husband she turned i don't know why she didn't use her healing power on him but that's him so so she prayed for me and she said now just leave those glasses off and said just believe god as you go on your way well i was kind enough to obey her until i got out in the hallway at the hospital and i put my glasses back on all right i put my i put my glasses i put my glasses back on life is hard life is hard people get old they die oh it's god's will everybody get healed really so when do they ever die or do you believe the the false doctrine of the evolving kingdom that we're going to evolve a race of people are going to evolve by faith into a group of people that never die hogwash people die doesn't mean they're out of the will of god means we still live in these sin cursed bodies life is hard but we have hope we have hope and we're fools not to admit that life is hard but i'm not just going to look at how hard life is i'm going to rejoice in the hope that we have i came from a hard day's work but i've come on sunday wednesday night to 7 30 because why because life has hope i had a hard day but i have hope in the house of god tonight i'll have a hard day tomorrow but i have hope in my prayer time i'll have a hard day friday but i have hope in my bible reading time life is hard but we have hope verse 16. unto the woman he said now god speaks to the woman because she's honest she's honest god speaks to her and god says i will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children and thy desires shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee oh what a curse oh oh i got a curse no that's not a curse number one you got to get in the frame of mind they had the mindset that the day they would eat of the true fruit of the knowledge of good and evil they would die i don't know about you but if if i was of the mindset if i did a certain act i was going to die i don't know about you but if i started hearing the judge talk about now when i let you go today how about you i'd perk up a little bit because they were of that mindset even and i know it was physical i know it was spiritual death they did die but they were mindful that they were going to die of a physical death but now they begin to hear and of course that that part there and thy desire shall be to thy husband that's not a curse that's a blessing for a woman that's a blessing for a woman i will tell you as a pastor of this church and a believer in the word of god and the structure of the word of god a woman who is healthy spiritually desires the spiritual leadership of a husband a woman i'm going to say that again in case somebody was sleeping a woman that is spiritually healthy spiritually healthy she desires to be led by a spiritual man i'll tell you something else too a spirit a man that is spiritually healthy desires to lead and love his wife this wasn't a curse this was a safeguard against satan this was a safeguard of protection against him so when when god says and thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule it's not a oh oh it's not a i know what our culture says it is but i don't care what our culture thinks it's not some kind of outdated thing it's so beautiful it's so beautiful every father in here tonight that's got a daughter ought to have your prayer lips saying something like this god let my daughter be the type of girl that will attract a young man that will lead her spiritually i don't care what kind of job he's got i don't care who his parents are or they're not i don't care what what how long he's went to school and how much better financially he can make her life if he doesn't know god and has a spiritual bone in his body what good would that do i'd rather my girls marry boys that that would have to rob peter to pay paul and hide it from james and john but they love god they love god's word and they're coming to the house of god and they want to do that then then boys it could say i i'm a millionaire and that's that's the god's honest that's the god's honest truth your desire shall be to your husband he shall rule over thee and unto adam he said because thou has hearkened unto the voice of thy wife and has eaten of the tree of which i commanded thee saying thou shalt not eat of it curses the ground for thy sake and sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life thorns and also thistle shall it bring forth unto thee and thou shalt eat the herb of the field in the sweat of thy face shall thy eat bread till thou return unto the ground for out of it was thou taken for dust thou art and unto dust thou shalt return yes life is hard but he's told that if he'll work the ground life is hard but he's told that if he'll work the ground the ground will give him the bread and he can live that's the hope that's the hope the key to being successful in life is understanding please please listen to this real closely and i'm not saying that because i think anybody's distracted i just i want to make special emphasis on this phrase please listen just really listen to this the key to being successful in life is understanding that failure is unavoidable you are going to fail sometime now i'm not advocating anybody running out tonight oh preacher said i was going to fail let me go ahead no no you don't even know god okay you you don't even know god if you're of that if you're of that mindset you don't even you don't even you don't even know god if you're of that mindset but in life you may try to start a business and it failed you may be a failure in different ways of your life but just remember that when you fail learn from it learn from your failure learn from it in the midst of your failure in the midst if your failure has brought you public embarrassment learn from it learn from it let it be a textbook not a tombstone learn from it and then listen now go back and do the work you were doing before your failure go back and do what you were doing before you failed go back and map in your mind what was i doing what led me to this failure what led me to go down this path what people did i begin to associate with now i know that we can't blame everything on the company we keep but i do believe there's a little truth that you can get in the you can be the wrong atmosphere and get around the wrong atmosphere so in order to correct your behavior you have to remember now now i i when i was when i would have this group of people in my life when i had this frame of people in my life i i seem to be doing a lot better go back and get that kind of people around you don't don't don't don't get people around you that that are pulling you down you need to surround yourself with people that are pulling you up listen i don't i don't need to get i don't need to import any more help in pulling me down i have enough in my own heart that wants to pull me down let alone reach out and import some other people to help me you need to get you need to surround yourself with people that add value to your life you need to surround yourself with people that have something in the lord that you want surround yourself with people like that i was asked one time about a very a a very successful uh meeting that's held once a year in alexandria louisiana called because of the times and somebody asked me one day i said why you go to that the answer's easy i want to be better i want to be better and and and i deem that what that church does and what that church promotes has got fruit they got corn in their crib and so i want to be better so i want to go join myself to something that's better now a lot of people can't join themselves to something that's above them because they're jealous and jealousy is as cruel as the grave where's the grave at huh down jealousy just pulls you down jealousy wants you to be the queen be among everybody want you to be the you know the the chief among everybody but when you look up and say man i want to go up i want to get people in my life that's got value i i want i want to reach i want to reach up so i'm going to go back and start doing what i was doing and start being around who i was around when i had the victory when i was shouting when i was growing in god i want to go back now wait a minute what was adam doing before the fall i thought y'all never asked me that tonight brother maker you've been sitting on edge your pew won't ask me this what was what was adam doing before the fall will turn with me to genesis chapter 2 verse number 19. this is what he was doing before his failure before his fall this is what he was doing genesis chapter 2 verse number 19 out of the ground the lord god formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air and brought them unto adam to see what he would call them and whatsoever adam called every living creature that was the name thereof and adam gave names to all cattle and to the fowl of the heir and to every beast of the field but for adam there was not found to help me what was adam doing god was bringing him things god was bringing him creatures and adam would say burn god says it's a bird they bring things to adam and adam and say cattle god said well it's it's cat adam was naming his surroundings he was naming his environment bird cattle dog he was naming all these animals his name that was his job i'm not making this up right there in the bible god was bringing him things god was bringing here name this giraffe name this elephant adam was just naming it over and over again well then the fall came the fall came adam's honest with god adam has a conscience adam's ashamed god gives him the penalty life is hard but you have hope that's versus that's genesis 3 18 and sweater your brow it's all of this from dust thou art the dust thou shalt return period god's gone but watch what happens in genesis 3 and 20 and adam his wife's name eve because she was the mother of all living adam went back to doing what he was doing before he fell oh how we ought to learn from that why don't we go back to doing what we were doing before the fall praying worshiping enjoying the presence of jesus having fellowship one with another doing a work for god teaching sunday school singing in a choir helping out living for god having a fulfillment of a life don't live a life of failure after the failure get back up and go back to what you were doing before you failed and adam called his wife's name eve because she was the mother of all living what are you going to name your life now adam i think i'll name my life sorrow i think i'll name my life thorn i think i'll name my life sweat hard labor no do you know that your surroundings is what you name it if you want to go around and just name i'm hopeless i made a mistake nobody's forgiven me go ahead and keep saying that you'll convince yourself you'll convince yourself when it's nothing but a lie because there's no more merciful god-loving sinner 11 prodigal 11 people like the church of the living god but you go ahead adam you go ahead and name it go ahead name your life hard name your life sweat name your life thorn name your life i made a mistake go ahead and tell everybody new in your life about your failure and all you'll ever see of your surroundings is failure but adam said i'll tell you i'm going to go back to doing what i was doing before i fell and that was naming things and he looked right at his wife and he said your name is eve which means the mother of all living the past is the past he came that we might have life and might have it more abundantly the blood has the power to forgive god's spirit has the power to lift up and i refuse to live a life of sweat thorn and hardship our first parents taught their children how to worship says a lot we can just we just focus in but our first parents have got a lot of good things we all talk about they could be ashamed they could honor god they could be honest they could understand life is hard but they have hope they could name their surroundings life but not only that they taught their children how to worship they taught their children how to worship genesis chapter four and verse number one adam knew his wife eve she conceived bear came said i have gotten a man from the lord she again bear his brother abel abel was a keeper of sheep but cain was a tiller of ground i tell you something else i didn't add this to my notes but these first parents taught their children an occupation they taught their children occupation cain abel was a keeper of sheep cain was a tiller of the ground he's a farmer the process of time it came to pass it came brought to the fruit of the ground and offering unto the lord and abel he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof and the lord had respect unto abel and to his offering but unto cain and to his offering he had not respect cain was very roth his countenance fell now now what do we have here adam and eve taught their children how to worship but that's as far as we can take them we can teach them how to worship but we can't choose how they worship that's their own choice but if my child doesn't choose to worship may it not be said that i didn't teach him how to worship now there's no guarantee of any of us i'm i'm thankful right now and i'm gonna thank the lord for it but there's no guarantee you can raise your children the best that you know how to raise them you can be god-fearing praying fasting you can be very spiritual and raise your children and they choose not to serve god it's true it's a choice that they make it's a choice that they make but again if that choices that they make may i have taught them how to worship adam and eve taught their children bring a blood sacrifice bring an animal bring the bring an animal the first sling and the fat thereof but cain process of time cain decided that he wasn't going to bring what he had been taught to bring and god did not respect the offering now whether that was fire didn't fall we can we we can surmise a lot there but there was some outward token that cain's offering his fruit vegetables was not accepted cain was mad because that's true proper worship brings joy proper worship brings joy when you don't bring proper worship it brings anger some of the most frustrated people sit on pews that's why they say when they leave here they feel better with no wonder you're not frustrated anymore because you're not trying to worship it's true you don't want to put all your heart into it an on-fire apostolic church is really not a comfortable place to be it's true it's true because you're bringing fruit when god wants blood you're bringing something that god says i don't want that but you're trying to say god you're you're gonna take this because this is what i bring and god says i'm i'm not taking this and so you you live frustrated you live a frustrating ride and then you you you you actually begin to see everything through a a skewed vision everything you question motives of people and and then when you get out of this then then there's something that lifts on you but it's it's not god it's that you're no longer you're no longer frustrated does it mean you're right with god it's a false sense it's a false sentence there's a lot of people living with a false sense that they're right they're not a bit more right they're not they're not a bit more saved than a man in a minute but he brought it he brought it but there's something interesting about this story that i saw today he brings it god doesn't accept it he stomps out of church he's mad he won't speak to nobody he's scowls he won't smile his countenance fail verse 5. and the lord said unto cain why are you mad why am i you know that you know that might be a good good question for you to ask yourself why are you mad why are you unhappy why why are you unhappy why are you raw and why is your countenance falling you ever notice that's on the inside and what's on the inside shows on the outside why are you mad and why is your face so sad a bit old i hope you'll praise god with me right now i hope you'll praise god with me right now listen to our god listen to the god of the first parents cain listen to your parents god if thou doest well shalt thou not be accepted and if thou doest not well sin life at the door and unto thee shall be his desire and thou shalt rule over him you understand he's a god of a second chance the god of adam and eve was a god of a second chance when god showed up to cain god didn't come through and bulldoze came down and mowing down and killing god came down and said i want to ask you some questions what are you mad about boy a lot of folks need to be honest with themselves they're mad about things that they ought to face and say this shouldn't make me mad the fact that i'm not living for god the way i should live for god that's what's causing turmoil inside of me the devil can mask it with a lot of things he can mask he can make you think that your problem is the preacher i'm preaching about the defunding appearance because that's a structure that's a structure we're living in a time right now when they're trying to destroy the structure of our nation and if that structure of our nation if our structure man i heard today that that there's certain groups that are promoting you they don't want you to call it a riot call it unrest that's unrest when people burn buildings down oh those people are just unresting they're just unrest you see they're trying to take away our take away our the fabric they're trying to take away our structure and moms and dads in the apostolic church we've got to understand men god made us males to lead our families and god made the females to be a compliment and a completer to that male that we can lead our children in the ways of god and if there's anything i want to to preach to fallon and lauren and nolan and my son-in-laws and my grandchildren he is a god of a second chance if you'll be honest with yourself he's a god of the second chance that preacher's not your problem the preacher's wife is not your problem the deacon's kids are not your problem the youth leader is not your problem kids in the youth group are not your problem people in the church that drive a better car is not your problem sin is our problem and if we can just understand it's sin some people just need a good praying through i have sinned i ate the fruit i have sinned would you stand with me right now if i could introduce this church to anything i'd like to introduce you to the to the god of a second chance but i don't want to keep introducing you to a god of a second chance if you won't be honest with yourself if you won't be honest with yourself you know moms and dads just let me meddle for just a minute just let me meddle for a minute can i tell you if your kids don't obey you they ain't going to obey these teachers in this school either and when we administer discipline and a lot of times we have to administer it here if things would go well in the home things could go well here and i i listen i'm just i'm just i'm just saying this tonight because this is the truth i love you i love you and i love you but please be honest with yourself if your kids don't obey you don't fall out and just believe well my my child that my child come home and told me that teachers got it in for him come on get a grip come on man oh no i know i didn't mean no no no no no no come on come on believe that that's why that child will be doomed to a life of misery when it could be stopped very early if a parent would just step out and be honest come to school and say listen teachers let's bind together i'm behind you i'm behind you i'm having a little problem at home unless me and you if one can put a thousand a flight two can put ten thousand to flight come on let's bind together we'd save a lot of kids from a hard life if parents and teachers and police officers and pastors and people of authority bound together and said this is where we stand now i tell you this corny story and i'll let you go home but the way i was brought up kathy knows this is the truth we were brought up in a time where we we did get paddlings at school i mean how many lived in that day when they did they did paddle you how many ever huh yeah you did that's right and you got it didn't you yeah okay i did too but you know what happened with us you know what happened the house me and kathy lived in if we got a paddling at school there's two more coming i mean two more that's right we got home mama did it mamas are wild when they whip buddy i mean my mama i mean man she you just didn't even know when it was coming like you got a you got a pat on day yeah you should just be driving them so i think they need to call somebody on your mother no they didn't even call anybody on that's where parents are even scared today because kids have been told i'm not talking about abuse it's abuse when you don't spank them it's abuse when they get in your face and tell you the way it's going to be and you don't do anything about it that's abuse lord i'm just preaching tonight i got me some hot and sour soup waiting on me out the house and i'm gonna be as bad as hot as that soup time i get done here tonight mom just you just never knew when mama's gonna hit you daddy john my dad he was methodical about it sitting at the dinner table get a weapon today get a paddling school day huh you're gonna get another minute can we go now now after supper he said eat boy he about to meet god i mean what are you talking about he remember kathy down in basement steps i remember down in basement steps i guess they took us down the basement so nobody could hear us you know down in basement steps let me have your hand let me have your hand i tried to give him the hand that i could dance and myself i don't want that other hand now he'd take that hand here's what he'd say it's going to hurt me more than it does you i don't know about you but i think i turned out pretty good matt i think some of these folks that had paddlings and had parents that loved them enough to discipline father we love you tonight we thank you god for your word god i thank you tonight lord i thank you that you're a god of another chance i thank you tonight god that you love us god you love us tonight enough to let us be feel the the shame of sin god when it comes upon us now lord i just pray tonight that you would let this message soak into all of our hearts here god god i pray for parents tonight i pray for young parents god i pray that you would touch their hearts tonight that there would be structure in their homes all over blunt county all over severe county god i pray that we have structure in our homes lord i ask tonight god that you would help moms and dads that have teenagers god you would help us god through this time in the life god we claim all of our children we don't want to lose one of them god to the enemy god take us from this place tonight from but not from your sight lord bring us back sunday morning lord ready to worship you again in jesus name we pray let's give the lord a great hand right now
