well praise the Lord everybody this morning good morning in Jesus name it's always a good morning in Jesus name you know we started off by praise and worship this morning by simply saying God is good God is good and then we book in the praise and worship today just talking about no matter what comes against you he can turn any situation into good I thank God for that this morning don't you I thank God that he can turn any situation into good today I want to go ahead and give him a hand of Praise right now God is good God is so good God is so good you remains standing with me today and turn with me to to First John now not the Gospel of John but the Epistles of John and John first John chapter 4 and verse number one while you're looking for that I want to Echo what the other brothers have said today it is so good to have all of our guests here we do not have visitors at First Apostolic church we only allow guests to come you're not a visitor you visit a hospital you visit a prison uh you you you visit a lot of places on this Earth but when you come to First Apostolic of Maryville you're not a visitor you are our guest and our motto is welcome home welcome home today I thank God for our guests that are with us this morning not only our guests that are with us here in the auditorium but I thank God for all of our guests that are watching by way of the World Wide Web today and it is it is truly World Wide Web it's it's unimaginable but it's truly the World Wide Web uh last Sunday uh where sister Carpenter and I were at we were six hours ahead of you all so when you started your Sunday morning service here we'd already finished our Sunday morning service in Beirut it's four o'clock in the afternoon was a little bit after four when they pulled over at a Starbucks and I thought you know I'm just going to take a chance to see if they got Wi-Fi in this Starbucks and show enough they had Wi-Fi there and I just dialed it in fac miracle and you were here at about 10 20 the choir was rocking the house and right there in Beirut sitting at Starbucks I was worshiping right along with you and praising God hey a big thanks to all of our men and women that work cameras and switchers and everything right now thank you all so much thank you so much so good to be back home first John chapter 4 and verse number four ye are of God little children and have overcome them that them is demonic spirits you have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world go with me to Second Corinthians now chapter number two second Corinthians chapter number two verse number 14. second Corinthians chapter 2 and verse 14. Paul says now thanks be to God which always somebody say always which always causes us to Triumph in Christ always causes us to Triumph that were Triumph there that word triumph comes from a root word which means to lead your enemy in a processional singing songs of praise it's time that we stop allowing our enemy to lead us and it's time that we lead our enemy In Praise now just for a few moments today by the leading of the Holy Ghost keeps touching my heart in light of current events around the world and even local I want to minister on demonic activity demonic how to recognize how to recognize demonic demonic activity you'd put your Bibles down for a moment and if you uh you want the word of God to speak to you today you want to be able to identify demonic activity would you lift up your voices with me in this house right now father I just asked you today Lord that you would allow me that I would take your word and that I would share it and break it with this congregation that Lord we would be able to identify God demonic activity around us we would be able to identify it for what it is Lord I pray this morning that you would anoint our minds and help us today God if you'll anoint my my mouth and my heart I'll give you praise in the name of Jesus Christ I do pray today come on give him a shout of Praise before you're seated come on give him a shout of praise you may be seated now I'm going to confess to you a little bit the Holy Ghost really kind of had to speak to me several times because sometimes there can be a there can be a a knee jerk I I have no better words a knee-jerk reaction to something or someone um someone can abuse a subject they can abuse a subject and they'll spend more time talking about the Antichrist than Jesus Christ I think we need to preach more about Jesus Christ than the Antichrist I think we need to preach more about what God can do instead of what the devil is doing but nonetheless those that abused that subject and talk more about the Antichrist than Jesus Christ I can become guilty of the same thing by never addressing the subject there is a devil he is an active devil but we have to learn in life how to identify demonic activity everything that goes wrong in your life I'm I want to inform you today that everything that goes wrong in your life is not necessarily demonic and you've heard me say this before that 48-year washing machine that broke this morning is not the devil trying to keep you from church right there's things that happen to us in life that now I'm sure the devil enjoys anything difficult that comes to us but there's just things that happen in life Jesus said in this in this world you have tribulation not you're going to have tribulation some folks are waiting on the tribulation he didn't say in this world you're going to have tribulations that it's it's in the future he said you have them currently right now there's just they're just things about life there's just things about life but then again there are there are demonic activity that is in our world that is in our world today I chose the first two scriptures to talk about today because I wanted you to know right out of the gate on this sermon this morning greater is he that's within you then he that is in the world I wanted you to know right out of the gate on this sermon today that we have our enemy defeated he was defeated at Calvary and at Pentecost God filled us with the spirit that was in Christ and that same spirit that was in Christ is now in us and he defeated him at Calvary and we defeat him at Pentecost and we lead him captive in songs of praise that's why hundreds of people can shout and rejoice this morning that's going through all kinds of difficulties in their lives because the things haven't changed that they know the god that they belong to has everything in his hands he has everything in his hands as a matter of fact in this word triumph to lead in processional your enemy in Luke chapter 4 and verse number 8. when Satan when Satan was tempting the humanity of Jesus Christ in the wilderness was tempting him with turn the Rocks into bread if you be the son of God he comes and he says he says in verse number he says in verse number eight Jesus answered and said unto him getting behind me Satan for he's written Thou shalt Worship the Lord thy God in him only shalt thou serve so Jesus there is putting Satan where he belongs where does he belong help me out Church where does he belong where does he belong you know if something is behind me guess what it is it's out of my sight some of us can't see God because we got a devil in front of us when that devil ought to be behind us in other words he was saying get out of my sight get out of my face verse number 9 verse chapter excuse me chapter number nine and verse number one of the Book of Luke then Jesus called his 12 disciples together and gave them follow closely and gave them power and authority over how many of the devils come on preach with me today how many of the devils oh devils and to cure diseases now I want you to notice something as you keep verse 1 on the screen Jesus called and gave power to his disciples he not only gave them power but the Hammond but he gave them power and authority when I read that I understand that power is not authority and authority is not power and so God gives us both power and Authority well let me give you a little example of this today a police officer wears a badge on his or her chest it is visible for all to see it's the authority of the local or the state or a federal official it is a badge they identify themselves their Authority is in that badge that badge gives them that local state or federal Authority to operate but by chance if you don't heed or badge if you would simply drop your eyes down to their waist they have a thing called a gun on their waist and in case you don't get the authority they have the power on their waste to control the situation do you know that you and I have been given Authority and Power over all the devils it ought to be it ought to be that that we walk in an authority that that adversary thinks twice before he wants to make a move on us we ought to have every door shut in our lives we ought to have every window closed in our lives we ought to have everything about our lives devil proof there should never be a place that we give the adversary to Slither under the door and to come up into our lives and begin to work he ought to look at us and say I don't want to mess with that man he's got Authority I don't want to mess with that woman she's got Authority now before you go trying to mess with the devil I want to warn you about something today there were some men in the Bible that tried to mess with the Devil and they said these words to a demon-possessed man they said we endure that's a legal term of a courtroom we endure you by the name of Jesus whom Paul preached to come out of this man and the demons spoke up and said and now Paul we know and Jesus we know but who are you and the Bible says the demons came out of the man leaped on these men scratched them all up cut them all up ripped their clothes off till they were naked and they ran down the road in shame I'm just telling you don't mess with the Devil unless you know you've got the authority and the power to come against him don't ever mess with the devil if you're not repented don't ever mess with the devil if there's hidden things in your life and hidden things in your closet you better first cleanse your heart you better first shut the doors you better first move the windows down and then you can step out devil I'm wearing a badge right here and in the name of Jesus you take your hands off my life you take your hands off my family they don't belong to you I give you power over power and authority over all of the devils look down to chapter number 10 now verse number 17. verse number 10 of Luke chapter 10 excuse me of Luke verse number 17. and the seventy returned again with joy this these people these are these ones that he gave power over all the enemy Authority saying Lord even the devils are subject unto us through thy name and he said unto them I beheld Satan as a lightning fall from Heaven in other words I defeated him in heaven I defeated him in heaven and I cast him at the speed of light out of heaven behold I give unto you behold I give unto you if you would bring something up here so I could hold the page down on my Bible please I need something to hold this page down and he said unto them behold I give unto you the power I give unto you power I give unto you power To Tread on serpents and scorpions and overall and and overall the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you let's read that verse again behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you now he's saying to he's saying to these I've given you power over this adversary I've given you power over this activity but then verse 20 he balances it out and he says in verse 20 notwithstanding in this Rejoice not don't let your praise be that you have power over the devil don't let your praise be don't rejoice in this that the devils are subject unto you but rather Rejoice because your names are written in heaven he balances it out don't get so caught up on demons that you don't praise your deliverer don't let the Demonic activity cause you to run and hide I have given you power over all of the adversary so not with don't Rejoice that you have power over the devil but Rejoice that the deliverer knows who you are I believe it'd be good to give him a hand of Praise right now our deliverer now let us dive into recognizing demonic activity because Satan has disguised himself or Satan is distracting us from his activity he's either disguised himself he has to he has to disguise himself especially when it comes to the believer now the world is dabbling in the occult Hollywood is producing more movies now that deal with demonic activity call me old-fashioned if you want to but many years ago there was a program on where a woman was a witch Bewitched and although they saw that people saw that as an innocent thing it was none other than Satan slowly like an IV bottle dripping into society the Demonic world around us and now Hollywood is on Full Throttle producing movies that identify demonic spirits and likewise because the world Satan wants to get this world comfortable they want to get this world comfortable please with this demonic activity around now Satan May Come through people's televisions in the world and display himself but in order for him to work among a believer he must be disguised he's got to disguise himself he either has to disguise himself or he has to distract us now I'm not getting political today I have my own personal views about this subject but all of these shootings and all of these schools the distraction is guns that's the distraction I would submit to you today that you could get rid of every gun but Satan will put it into someone's heart the same Satan that puts it into their minds to go into those buildings were put into their minds to take their car and RAM it through a chain-linked fence on a playground I hope I don't lose anybody today because the gun deal the gun deal whether how I feel about it or not is is a god-given right and you have a god-given right and we have we live in a democracy that gives us the right but I'm telling you as your pastor today it's nothing but a distraction the devil's behind it the devil's behind it well to be like a Paul Revere riding through the country the devil's behind that every every vile Wicked thing that happens we ought to be listen those those bit those those planes that flew in on 9 11 and killed over 3 000 people the devil was behind it he's a distraction just a distraction Galatians chapter number one and verse number six here's a church that got distracted here's a church that got distracted Paul said in Galatians 1 and 6 I Marvel I'm amazed I'm baffled that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel which is not another but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ but though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you then that which we have preached unto you let him be accursed and as we said before so say I now again if any man preach any other gospel unto you then that which we have preached you have received let him be a curse now what's what Paul says because the Galatians were listening to men coming in and saying and saying the born-again experience the Acts 2 3 8 experience is not all you need you need to go back under the law and pick up things of the law you need to be circumcised you you need to go back under the law and wash pans and pots and you need to go back under the law and all this and they received it they received that information Paul came along he said I'm absolutely baffled at you Galatians I'm absolutely baffled at you that you're removed from the gospel unto another gospel which is not which there is not another and then he says this the we or an angel preach any other gospel than what we have preached let him be a curse it's interesting there that he mentions the word angel now you know that beat you you really have to be founded in the word you'd really have to be found in the word of God if an angel come down and start telling you something different you really have to be founded and be able to say hey you're speaking contrary to the word of God but isn't that where demonic activity actually begins now think with me for a moment think with me for a moment where does satanic activity begin where does demonic activity begin it must begin at the removal of God in order for the Devils to work I got news for you in order for the Devils to work he has to remove God from your mind he couldn't even work with Eve the very first let's take it a step back why did Satan get cast out of heaven because he tried to move God over he tried to take God from the centerpiece of Eternity the only one true and living God the one that seated high on a throne singular and he decided to say hey I will ascend I will come up where you're at and displace you and move you over and when he tried to move God over he showed up in front of the throne and said move over God God hid him so fast and so hard don't you ever listen to a preacher that tells you and there was war in heaven and Satan and God were fighting and Satan had three parts of the building secured and God was that's a bunch of that's that's a bunch of high preaching Satan showed up not to praise God Satan rose up he was appraiser that's what he was made to do he rose up in front of God to praise God but on that day he said move over Jehovah and God hid him so fast and God hit him so hard that he fell out of heaven at the speed of light there was no tug of war it was he showed up and tried to push God out of his place and God as a matter of fact when God gives reference to how he deals with demonic spirits when God gives reference with how he deals with the demonic spirits listen to what he uses Jesus said they were talking about him casting out Devils controlling devils and Jesus said if I with the Finger of God cast out devils he didn't say if I with the fist of God cast out Devils he didn't say I God with the harm of God cast out Devils he didn't say I would I God with my heavenly host of Angels cast out Devils he said I just flick him like a fly that's all he is to me he he's nothing but a fly landing on my piece of paper I just flick him like a fly and he has to leave what a powerful God we serve Satan first has to get the ground of moving God out of the way before he can ever work in our life and that's why they may have saw it as an innocent thing but Satan has been at work on America school shootings and the light that we're seeing started long ago in our schools when they took prayer out of our schools they took prayer out of our schools they took the Pledge of Allegiance out of our schools they took the Bible reading out of our schools and then I'm not the originator of this but I think it's really it can be applicable here after all these school shootings people will say where was God at on that day where was God at well decades ago you told him to get out of the schools you told him that he you know what he prayed to in this place maybe we are reaping the the harvest of telling God we don't want you in these schools I I keep on driving this home Satan cannot work until God is displaced in your life it cannot work as a matter of fact when Satan came when Satan came in the garden Satan came in the garden let me read to you second Corinthians chapter 11 verse number 13. second Corinthians chapter 11. we're okay this morning we're all right this morning second Chronicle excuse me Corinthians second Corinthians 11 and 13. Paul again is discussing Paul again is addressing false Doctrine in the church he says for such are false apostles deceitful workers transforming themselves into Apostles of Christ transforming themselves and no Marvel don't be amazed at this and no marble for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of Light this word Angel here means messenger and light means information Satan cannot come to you in his raw form of deceiver Destroyer he has to come to you as a messenger of information that you don't have information that you that you need verse 15. therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform and be transformed as the Ministers of righteousness who's who's in shall be according to their Works Satan has to again please hear this he has to transform himself our children may have some toys called Transformers and you can look at them that's a car Papa that's a car Papa but watch this they take that little car and they twist this and turn this and test it and it's a soldier standing there it's called a Transformer you know Satan is transformed from the vile from the vile Wicked destructive he doesn't love anybody he doesn't like he's vile he is more vile than anything any book you could ever read on serial killers he is more vile than any crime any horrific crime you've ever heard of but in order for him to work he has to transform himself and come to a culture a society and tell you look at the light look at the information he's behind the gender dysfunction today come on somebody he's behind the confusion that's in our world today don't fight with people fight with the adversary that is behind that oh my God can we just worship God right now Hallelujah hallelujah thank you for the power and the authority Jesus oh come on let a praise go up in his house right now I'm so glad to be on the church I'm so glad to be in the body of Christ I'm so glad to be a part of the Bride of Jesus Christ he has to transform himself I don't know about you but I'm gonna stop right here and say I thank my God brother Sean Ammons I thank my God right now all three of my children were brought up in this Sunday School thank my God for that I thank my God my children were brought up in this school I thank my God for that I thank my God that currently all five of my grandchildren are in the Sunday school program and are in the school program here at ACA I thank my God for that because out there I feel the Holy Ghost folks it ain't time to visit your local church it's time to get in church we need to change our terminology do you know people do you know that before people stop going to church they stop being in the church there's a difference between going to church and being in the church it's time that you all make up your mind I'm not only going to go to this church bless God I'm going to get in this church I want to devil proof my house I want a devil proof ever Gore I want a devil proof ever a window I want to devil prove everything about my house foreign so glad to be in the church ain't nothing like the church ain't nothing like it be another like the church so glad to have my children in the church my grandchildren in the church so glad of Satan had to powder himself up and disguise himself he could not appear to Eve in the garden in his original form because I'm going to tell you something God beat him up so hard that he knew there's no way I could appear I can't appear to Eve I can't appear to her like this I gotta disguise myself so what did he do in Genesis chapter 3 verse 14. and the Lord God said unto the serpent because thou has done this Thou Art cursed above all Thou Art cursed above all the cattle above every beast of the field upon thy belly shalt thou go and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life Satan had to take control of a reptile of a snake now you've got to realize with me today it's hard for us to Fathom this but when God first made that reptile it was a very beautiful thing it was a very beautiful thing but because of what they represent today we have four of them because of what they represent poison in their fangs and the light first in verse 14 the reptile itself it's commonly believed that before the reptile yielded to Satan whose name means adversary he is your enemy before that that reptile submitted itself to him that it stood and walked about on three or four inches of its tail and was a very beautiful creature but now verse 15 God speaks to the Fallen adversary and he says I will put enmity between thee and the woman hear me devil I will put enmity between you and the woman between thy seed and her seed between what you will produce through her Rebellion we're all in sin because of Adam and Eve today Adam and Eve originally had the nature of no sin but because Eve listened to information to displace God what was it this word should stand alone in our lives as God stands alone in heaven this word should stand alone to us today it matters not what culture the Supreme Court or the highest laws of our land tell us what is acceptable if this word calls it an abomination it is an abomination God said to Adam and Eve do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil for in the day that you eat thereof you'll surely die but what does Satan do here's where here's where it was in their lives front and center Satan came down and said yay hath God said you shall not eat of any of the Trees of the garden Eve said oh no no we may eat of all the trees of the garden freely but of the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil he has said don't eat of it for in the day that you eat thereof you'll surely die watch this now and Satan said unto her you shall not surely die now right there is where he should have been rebuked and I believe if Eve had said no serpent God said we would die and we're not going to do that sin would have never entered the human race but because Eve allowed now watch this Satan didn't come and say there is no God he just simply come and said hey move his word over demonic activity becomes when when God is displaced out of our lives he said just move this over and let my word come up and stand beside this word and we see when Eve allowed Satan to put this in her ears this angel of Light this angel of information she ate and here we are today with funerals and disease and school shootings and planes flying into buildings and Etc Etc on and on but Satan heard something on that day won't you follow along with me on that day that God came down in the garden Chapter 3 of verse 15 Satan heard something he heard God say these words again and I will put enmity a wall of hatred between thee and the woman between thy seed Satan and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel to follow God spoke in the presence of Eve and Satan Satan's Doom Satan's Doom the woman will produce a seed and when that seed comes that seed will bruise your head that seed of a woman will destroy what you have started I kicked you out of heaven but the seed of the woman is going to kick you out of Humanity's heart are y'all seeing this today are you just quiet because you're listening all right I hope you are so what does Satan watch Satan's no fool if his destruction is coming from a woman what would he watch he would watch the woman he's no fool he goes back he gathers up his demonic spirits and he begins to tell him watch the women keep your eye upon the women because a woman is going to Bear a seed and that seed is going to crush our demonic our demonic Kingdom he heard of it again in Genesis chapter 22 verse number 15. when God is speaking to Abraham follow along and the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham Out of Heaven the second time and said by myself have I sworn saith the Lord for because I has done this thing and has not withheld thy son thine only son that in blessing I Will Bless thee and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore and thy seed somebody say thy seed and thy seed shall possess the Gate of his enemies and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because thou has to obey my voice now follow this Satan now says wait a minute not only did I hear God in the garden say a seed of a woman we need to we need to amp up we need to ramp up hey he's now talking to Abraham and he's telling Abraham that there's going to be a seed come out and the seed is going to destroy and possess the gates Satan is listening Satan Satan was listening and uh I didn't write it down I didn't I evidently when I was putting my scripture text in today I overlooked Exodus brother Erickson you did such a great job reading you got a microphone on that that Pew with you go with me and bear it go go with me and then you Church you bear with me Exodus chapter 2 and uh wait a minute brother Erickson it's Exodus chapter one brother Erickson um start reading at verse number eight and keep him up good and loud in the house so the people can hear him real good chapter one verse number eight no there arose up a new king over Egypt which knew not Joseph and he said unto his people behold the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we okay now Pharaoh Pharaoh erosion these Israelites are growing too much go ahead come on let us deal wisely with them lest they multiply and they come to pass that when they're falleth out any War they join also unto our enemies and fight against us and so get them up out of the land okay Michelle right there I'm still gonna have you read but Eric said but here's what happens he says you got to afflict these people you got to put Affliction on them and and you've got to put a flitch and that's going to stop them that's going to stop them from from multiplying that just just work them uh just work them uh 18 20 hours a day just work over but the Bible says the more they Afflicted them the more they grew so now Satan that's that's in verse number 12. um brother Erickson let's now Pharaoh has to turn his attention to verse number 15. I can't work them into decreasing your population I can't work them into decreasing their population so now what am I going to do verse 15. and the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives of which the name of one was shafara Safra in the name of the other Bureau that's why I gave you that to read yeah I like that and he said when you do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the stools if it be a son then he shall kill him but if it had a daughter then she shall live you're going to keep on reading but let me say it now we know that this isn't Divine counsel right says it use the word kill who's that come from huh Satan's come to you right so it's from him you know watch from him because he heard in Genesis 3 and in Genesis 22 that a seeds coming out of a woman so pharaoh who is nothing but a puppet to Satan Pharaoh begins to say kill him kill all the males that all the males we put to death you know why I can take a Hebrew I can take an Egyptian man and give him to a Hebrew woman and it will produce an Egyptian that if you kill the male they cannot keep their lineage going so now keep on reading brother Erickson but the midwives feared God and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them but saved the men children alive yes in the king of Egypt called for The Midwives and said unto them why have you done this thing and saved the men children alive in the meanwhile I've said an apparel because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women for they are Lively and are delivered Heir The Midwives come in unto them I said these Egypt like the Egyptian women I can't wait to preach that at a woman's conference Pharaoh said hey what's going on they got more of these Hebrew boys running around here he said you just got to understand these Hebrew women ain't like this Egyptian women said they're Lively I have a good stand up therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and waxed very mighty and it came to pass because the midwives feared God that he made them houses and Pharaoh charged all his people saying everything listen to this man being led to the devil now every son that is born ye shall cast into the river and every daughter shall save a life can I tell you you know why Pharaoh's doing this it had nothing to do with Hebrews and Egypt it had everything with Satan saying I got to keep my eye on the seat of a woman because sure enough a seed of a woman is going to come and when the seed of the woman comes it's going to crush it's going to crush our head brother Erickson II Kings chapter 17 verse number 31 would you go there would you go there real real real quickly would you go there Second Kings 17 31 real quickly and the invites now this is Brother Erickson these are Heathen people here these are pagan they don't know Jehovah God they're being led fully by the Enemy by the devil but listen to it listen to what they do and the evites that made nib has in tartek and the safarovites burnt their children in the fire burnt their children in the fire these Heathen Godless pagans somehow developed a belief that if they would take their firstborn child and Burn It To A God Called Molech that it would put blessings upon all the rest of the family come on Church if they just if you just take this child and put it in the arms of this molec it'll bless all the rest of your family that's not ignorance that's demonic but you see here's what we have to watch somebody has said and I hope that we can prove them wrong as a church somebody has said the church is just a few years behind the world somebody has said what the world is allowing is a normal that the church is about 10 to 15 years behind it I hope we prove them wrong I hope we prove them wrong don't you want to prove them
