well is there anybody that's interested in knowing the doctrine if you are would you stand with me right now and I would ask that we are going to be reading the word of God God and we'll be praying and I would ask unless it is an emergency that while we're reading the word of God and while we're praying while not just reading the word of God but while we're praying that no one go in or out of the building of course unless it would be a a medical emergency that you would you would stand I would even ask our ushers if you would be so kind in case some one don't know but just kindly ask them kindly ask anyone one when Pastor begins to read his scripture if they come through the door to come in just to stand back in the back good people God's word is worthy of all the honor God's word is worthy of all all of the all of the honor 1 Timothy Chapter 2 and verse number one 1 Timothy chapter two in verse number one Paul is writing to this young young man Timothy and he says to Timothy in 1 Timothy Chapter 2 and verse one he says I exhort therefore that first of all supplications prayers intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men for kings and for all that are in Authority that we may lead a quiet and Peaceable life in all godliness and honesty y for this is good and acceptable in the sight of of of God our savior now now hang on that thought God our savior who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth for there is one God and one mediator between God and Men the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due season continue our Series today determined determined to know the doctrine father I love you today I thank you Lord as we acknowledge that you have given us the word and Lord I acknowledge you today that I'm going to teach teach and preach the word Lord I ask you today to allow your spirit to come down and work alongside the words that will be spoken and Lord let the words bring knowledge and revelation of who you are Lord let your word today lead us and guide us God and we'll give you the praise and we'll give you the honor in Jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated thank you for standing today it was am man some time ago that the story goes this man was up on top of his house cleaning the rooftop when the man slipped fell and began to slide down the roof he claw trying to catch traction all that he could but he couldn't do it he slid all the way off the side of the house until just his fingers gripped the guttering that was holding him and oh I didn't tell you it was a three-story house that he's now dangling off the side of he begins frantically frantically saying calling out could somebody help me would somebody help me he turned to his left and his right and looked down the sidewalks is is somebody I I need some help would somebody help me no answer came then he looked up into the blue guys and he says God would you help me help me God and God so sweetly spoke to him and said just let go my son and I will catch you the man thought about it for a minute and he said is there anybody else up there can I tell you that when it comes to Salvation he is the one and only source of Salvation it's interesting today as Paul begins to write to this young man Timothy and he tells him about that prayers should be made for kings and politicians and those that are in Authority that we would lead a quiet and Peaceable life but then in verse number three he changes the direction and he says that this has to do that it is good and acceptable in the sight of God our savior he he brings God our savior into the train of thought of how we should live he brings God our savior and then in verse number four he lets us know that God our savior would have all men to be saved and of course when I say men I'm talking about Humanity all of humanity that it is God's will and I want you to understand this today it is God's will that we all walk on those streets of gold that brother Akerson talked about today it is God's will that we're that we saved that is clear cut it is God's will that we're saved as a matter of fact the Bible said that God is not willing that any would what perish but that all would come to repentance verse four Paul says this God our savior would have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth truth I like how he I like how he divides that because just being saved is not having all knowledge of the truth the Plan of Salvation is wonderful that's what gets us in the body but the knowledge of God is what keeps us in the body because come on let's boast on God this morning he's never done us nothing but good he's never done us nothing but good but you really don't know the goodness of God until you come to the knowledge of Truth he is a good god he is a loving God he is a kind God he is a gentle God he is God our helper amen he is God our Helper and then in verse five he says for there is and he keeps coming back he keeps coming back to this one source of Sal salvation just one source of salvation for there is one God and one mediator between God and men watch how it says it the man Christ Jesus one God and one mediator between man but the one mediator between men and God the man Christ Jesus what did the man and you you just underline that in your Bible the man the man Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom a ransom you know what a ransom is something is held captive and a ransom is demanded for the release for the release of what's held captive church family today since the fall of Man in the G Garden of Eden man was held captive in sin but the payment of the ransom to set him free the payment of the ransom was that a perfect adom fell into sin and it would require a perfect Adam to bring us out of sin it would be a perfect man that would yield to to Temptation it would be a perfect man that would walk into sin so it was of necess necess ity that there would be a perfect man that would be the ransom note for that sin but the problem of the ages with Humanity was the best that man could ever do appeared in the sight of God as filthy rags hanging dirty rags the best Abraham could do the best Noah could do the best job could do all of these so-called Heroes of the word of God fa so far short of being that perfect man because of sin we were born in sin and we were shapen in iniquity I didn't become a sinner when I sinned my first time I was born a sinner I had the sin nature about me and about you you also had that same sin you also had that same sin nature so it would take a perfect Adam it would take a perfect man and that's how we have come up in the scripture with the Plan of Salvation now we understand why there had to be a virgin birth because it couldn't be just any ordinary man it had to be a man that was unlike any man that was that had ever been and Jesus Jesus Christ is unlike any man that had that has ever lived or that will ever live because he is the only begotten of the father and so we see now as the pieces of the puzzle begin to come together there is one God and there is one mediator between God and Men the man Christ Jesus will you say brother Carpenter 1 + 1 equals 2 you are correct and I am correct on my math today but not not necessarily to who but to what to what well we know number one according to John 4:24 God is a spirit God is a spirit and we also know that according to the gospel writers and many of the Epistles that Jesus Christ was fully man he was born from a womb we understand that he went through the growing process just like all of us have went through the growing process when we know from the scriptures that there were times that he hungered we know there was times in the scriptures that he was thirsty we know there's times in the scriptures that he was asleep we know there's times in the scriptures that he said that he did not have all knowledge that only his father had that knowledge so today to truly understand the doctrine you have to get a grip on the Bible Bible teaching of the Dual nature of Jesus Christ that Jesus Christ was fully 100% God deity God how do you know that because he turned one substance that would take a process into another substance he turned water a 20 into wine only God could do that we know that he walked on the water that he defied gravity he defied laws of weight and he walked upon the waters only God could do that we know that paralyzed individuals were carried into his presence but with the the touch of his hand or the words from his mouth the paralyzed individuals would stand roll up their mattress and walk out the front door we know today that the Dead four days dead laying in a cave but at the sound of his voice Lazarus come forth and that one which was dead was resurrected back to life and came walking out of that tomb only God could do that church only God only God could hold in his hands Five Loaves and a few fish and feed thousands with just a few loaves slices of bread and a few pieces of fish only God could do that but Jesus also slept But as God he spoke to the waves Jesus also hungered But as God he multiplied the fish and the loaves so when we come to this Bible Understanding we have to understand that Jesus Christ is the most unique individual to ever grace the pages of History he is the do nature of Jesus Christ now the Bible says and I'll deal with my text that there is one God 1 Timothy 2 and5 there is one God and there is one mediator between God and Men Please underline and I know I've said that before because it really Bears it out the mediator was not God but the mediator was the man Christ Christ Jesus that's the mediator now tell me what a mediator is the definition of a mediator is someone who stands in between two opposing parties there are two opposing parties and a mediator comes in between the two opposing parties that at one time in this case at one time God and man were one in Fellowship they were one in harmony but because of Sin Sin caused there to be a gap God had to turn his face God had to withdraw himself from this man God could no longer have this Fellowship as a matter of fact let me tell you God is angry with the wicked every day God is angry that's scripture God is angry with the wicked every day as a matter of fact I'm going to tell you something you can't just brother am brother Atkinson made the statement today you know getting sober is good uh but that's not the end owning a home's good but that's not the end making it to heaven let me tell you something our chief objective here at this church is not to just to be a good church you you cannot now please listen to this today you cannot be Godly good and not hate evil you you you cannot be Godly good and not hate evil and this is the turn off with some people today about the church I I'm just not going to go to the church because you you know they're just against this sin and they're against that sin and all that you're correct because it's evil but on the other hand we serve a good God we are good people because we serve a good god people's lives are changed for the better because we serve a good God but you can't get someone's life to change for the better until you address the evil that is in the life that's called repentance and so God look down upon disobedient Adam and disobedient Eve and God became angry the righteous anger of God boiled at what they had started and God withdrew himself let me let me show you here in Isaiah chapter 59 kind of show you how God deals with this in Isaiah chapter 59 in verse number one and two it says behold the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save neither is his ear heavy that it cannot hear now now in this verse here God is telling Israel there's a reason why I'm not working in your life there's a reason why my hand my arm has not reached down and corrected things that are in your life there is a reason why you have called out to me and I have not answered your prayers my arm is not short that it cannot save neither is my ear heavy or I would use the word stopped up that it cannot hear but here's the problem verse two but your iniquities have separated between you and your God your sin has separated God's not working that's because there was sin there God's not hearing that's because there were sin there but your iniquities have separated between you and your God follow me now and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear now when we understand the need of a mediator we now have a God that because of the Fall we now have a God that has turned turned his face on his Humanity we now have a God let me say it this way I thought God so loved the world he does and he did but he hates sin now now get this very well put in your mind God does not hate The Sinner God does not hate The Sinner God does not hate The Sinner but God hates to sin I saw something yesterday on a public sidewalk here in this city that turned my stomach all right it turned my stomach as a matter of fact when I saw it and understand what was happening it turned not only my stomach it turned my head oh you little judge you little judgmental snotball no I'm not I just ha evil when the church can't when the church doesn't realize a lot of times a lot of times we have people that are that are stumbling with a with with with an understanding of the love of God and the grace of God you know why they stumble with an understanding of the love of God and the grace of God because they stumble with an understanding of evil you you really can't know what God has done for you until you know where God has brought you from C could we just love God for a moment could we just can we just love God oh come on could we just love God for just a moment Lord just love him love him for what he's brought you out of right now please love him that you will once in sin loving that you were once on your way to a devil's hell you were once on your way to Eternal judgment but God allowed his message his grace to step into your life oh what a wonderful change has come over our lives since Jesus has come in since Jesus has come into our lives but you can't understand how beautiful grace and mercy is until you understand what he brought you out of where would some of us be today sister Wilson where would some of us be today had we continued on in our lifestyle I submit to some of us would already be in Graves today we some of us would already be in our Graves today where would we be today had it not been for the grace of God where would our lives be today where would our our families be today had it not been for the grace of God but oh thanks be unto Jesus this morning thank you Jesus thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord for your grace where would we be today had that individual not invited you to church you had no you listen you didn't even know once you got to church you didn't even know why you were there your mind was blown you didn't realize they were they were invited you to a Pentecostal Church where folks run the aisles and shout and praise the Lord and worship speak in tongues and baptized you didn't know that you just thought somebody on your job was inviting you to church but the next thing you knew a holy God had you in his grip a holy God had you in his grip tears begin to flow down your face you you had no idea you you you had no idea you just thought you were going to get a coworker off your back because they've been trying to get you to go to church for a long time but you had no idea that it was a Divine setup and the grip the grace of God got you in that grip and you got a Bible study and you got the Plan of Salvation and your whole life began turning around and things started turning around come on do we have any before and afters in this house today do we have any before and afters in this house today my life is far better now than it was back then come on if you'd like to stand and publicly be a before and after poster for Jesus go ahead and do it right now what a wonderful change has come into my life oh yes yes but you got a holy God I told you something turned my stomach but I'm G to tell you something the people did not turn my stomach that's the people didn't because you know why man today has gotten so far from God that it is not in man to direct his steps oh can you believe can you believe can you believe somebody would do XYZ can I tell you something all we like sheep have gone astray you see the Bible tells us that before we're born again we're blind we gro for the walls we gro for direction in our lives and many turned to things to try to cope and try to help them so now we've got God over here sister Carpenter and he's angry with the wicked every day and you got man over here that gets deceived by the Satan that deceived him in the beginning that it's actually God in his problem we we are the generation today you do realize this today don't you we are the generation today we are not the generation of your grandparents because the generation of your grandparents whether you were am the church or not had a profound respect for the Church of any kind the generation of your grandparents didn't even have locks on the doors of their churches they didn't even have locks on the doors of their churches why because people had such a respect no one would dare break into a church and steal something from a church but wake up church we are not in the generation of your grandparents we are in in a generation that can tolerate everything but someone who stands for absolutes and it's just not the church it's in Hollywood you let some Hollywood Entertainer stand up for an absolute which is a hatred of evil and they will begin to boycott they will begin to the the cancell culture will come out and they will begin to put them aside because they're still standing for what's right so now we've got God over here man we're in a pickle we've got God over here that that he can't fellowship with man because he's angry with the wicked every day and we've got man over here that's thinking that it's God that's my problem it's that God it's that it's those judgmental people it's it's my it's that God that's my problem and you've got an antichrist Spirit that's trying to erase every image of God from the face of of the earth no Bibles no crosses no prayers none of this they want to eradicate they want to eradicate why because they want to change history because they don't want anybody teaching history because if the Antichrist can have a generation that is not offered a hope the Antichrist has an easier job but if we can always bring up that there is one God and there is one mediator between God and man the man the man Christ Jesus would you like to see the Dual nature go with me for a moment go with me for a moment would you like to see the Dual nature for a moment Isaiah chapter 9 and6 would you go there with me in your Bibles Isaiah chapter 9 and6 I'll show you the Dual nature in Prophecy the Dual nature in Prophecy unto us a son somebody say flesh unto us a son is given his name Shall be Called wonderful counsel and I'm just going to abbreviate this for time his name shall be called The Mighty God well who is he is he a son or a mighty God he's both he's both he's both I I I promise you there is so many beautiful doctrines of power and deliverance that are in the scriptures of the word of God the baptism of the Holy Ghost a powerful Doctrine in the word of God but you'll never get to the powerful doctrines if you don't first know who Jesus is who is he he's more than just a man he's the mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus unto us his son humanity is given his name shall be called The Mighty God the Everlasting father this is something that can help us in first John not the Gospel of John not the Gospel of John but the first Epistle of John the first Epistle of John Chapter 2 and verse number 23 while you're looking for that and I'm just simply teaching you today when John wrote when John wrote and he was some 80 to 90 years old and first John first John is really some of the last Epistles to be written there was already there was already an attack on the identity of Jesus Christ this is one of the reasons John writes this is that there was false Doctrine false teaching spoken by false prophets that were being motivated by hell itself and they had begin to circulate that Jesus Christ was just a man all 100% man which simply made him a martyr it did not make him a messiah it only made him a martyr and then there was other teachings brother Hammond there was other teachings that he was really some Angelic form that just appeared he wasn't truly Flesh and Blood he wasn't truly flesh and blood if he's not truly flesh F and blood then he cannot be the ransom note For What fail in the garden so there was a plethora of different ideas and different theologies of just who is this Jesus Christ but John picks up the pen and under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost in first John 2 and 23 he says whosoever denieth the son the same hath not the father father he said If you deny the son you don't have the father but he go ahead flow with the SC scripture on the screen please but he that ackn acknowledgeth the son the same hath the father also simple he said if you don't acknowledge the son you don't have the father but if you acknowledge the son you have the father also how is this the Dual nature of Jesus Jesus Christ the same way unto us a son is given and his name shall be called The Mighty God it is the beautiful revelation of the Dual nature of Jesus Christ look with me not not first John now not first John now but look with me in the Gospel of John Chapter two The Gospel of John Chapter 2 and I will begin reading I do believe I will will begin reading in John Chapter 2 and uh verse 19 is where I would like to begin reading Jesus says to the Pharisees who the Jews um let's let's read Verse 18 then answered the Jews and said unto him the him being Jesus what sign showest thou unto us seeing that thou doest these things now he had just took a whip and he had just uh chased a bunch of of of of men that were selling changing coins and sacrifices he he drove them out of the temple told them that his father's house was the House of Prayer the Jews come along and they said hey what sign showest thou unto us seeing that thou doest these things here it is verse 19 Jesus answered and and said unto them destroy this Temple you want a sign you want a sign destroy this Temple and in three days who's going to raise it up somebody help me now I want some classroom participation who's going to raise it up in three days destroy this Temple and in three days come on now I will raise it up then said the Jews 4 and6 years was this temple in building and wil thou rear it up in three days they missed a point they thought he was referring to the temple herod's temple that was built and they their response is three days 72 hours and you're going to rebuild it in three day in in in three days 46 years it took to build but look at verse 21 but he spake of the body of his but excuse me of the Temple of his body oh I want you to get this today what was he talking about classroom participation now he was talking about the Temple of his body he said destroyed now let's go back up to verse 19 again Jesus answered and said unto them destroy this Temple and in three days who's going to raise it up again I will raise it up again but this verse number 21 going going back to verse 21 but he spake of the Temple of his of his of his body wherefore when therefore he was risen from the dead his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had said destroy this Temple that's flesh and I will raise it up again now flesh is is it going to raise up flesh so what's going to raise up the flesh what's going to raise up the flesh the same God that caused his conception the same God that dwelt in him this same dual nature raised him up as a matter of fact we'll we'll get to that in just a moment but this this dual nature go with me to mark chap 15 and vers verse number 34 Mark 15 and verse number 34 Jesus hangs on the cross the mediator hangs on the cross and the Bible says while hanging there on the cross and at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice saying Elo Elo laach Sabathani which being interpreted my God my God why hast Thou forsaken me well the answer to that is simple as long as God dwelt in that body that body didn't need the necessary breathing of the lungs or the moving of the blood through the vessels that body would have stayed alive you do realize that one day one day our bodies will be changed and we're not going to need the things that we need right now because God will be all in all in us so why did God forsake that body and he did God's spirit withdrew itself from that body so that that body that man Christ Jesus could be that ultimate Ransom note that would free us from our sins at the cross at the cross where I first saw the light and the burdens of my soul Rose Away Ladies and Gentlemen brothers and sisters this morning let me present to you powerfully powerfully let me present to you I love the baptism of the Holy Ghost I'm glad that I've got the baptism of the Holy Ghost but had it not been for the payment on the cross of Calvary had it not been that he was the ransom for my sin today oh had it not been that he paid what right do you have I have the right of Jesus he is our mediator he is our mediator no other name no other name like the name of Jesus my God my God why hast thou why hast thou forsaken me Isaiah answers it that he would see thy Soul a sacrifice for sin and there our sins The Ransom The Ransom note has been paid in full so matter of fact turn with me to John chapter 10 verse number 30 John chapter 10 and verse number 30 Jesus is speaking again and I want to drive home I want to drive home this dual nature of Jesus Christ today Jesus said Jesus said in John chapter 10 and um well let's let's go to verse number 28 of John 10 Jesus is speaking please always remember who's speaking Jesus is speaking and he says I and I give unto them talking about his people eternal life life and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand my Father which gave them me is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my well which hand are we in whose hand are we in some people people that hold to different doctrines outside scripture have trouble which hand are you in are you in the hand of Jesus are you in the hand of the father well Jesus answers the question that you might ask in verse number 30 I and my father are one when I refer to the father I'm referring to the invisible Spirit of almighty God I'm referring refering to the invisible Spirit God is a spirit and I'm referring to that but I when I refer to the son I'm referring to the flesh the humanity that which we could see that which we could handle and he said you're in my hand no man can pluck you out you're in my father's hand and no man can pluck you out I and my father are one then the Jews took up stones again to Stone him wasn't the first time Jesus answered them many good works have I showed you from my father for which of those good for which of those Works do you Stone me the Jews answering him saying for a good work we Stone thee not but for blasphemy and because that thou being a man makest thyself God and and how backwards they've got it and religion has always got it backwards and you've heard this before but I want you to hear it again it was not a man who made himself God it was a God who made himself man and he did it so he could be the mediator between us how can I get to God Jesus Christ how can I get my sins forgiven Jesus Christ how can I get the Holy Ghost whom the father will send Jesus Christ I've got to go through Jesus thank you Jesus thank you Lord thank you Lord turn a few chapters over to John chapter 14 I want to drive home thoroughly the Dual nature of Jesus Christ John chapter 14 John chapter 14 and I believe I'll begin reading at verse number seven John 14 and verse number 7 Jesus said if you had known me you should have known my father also and from henceforth you know him and have seen him now let me let me because I I I I I've been into many discussions with people and they said well brother Carpenter the the know there the know there is simply is simply knowledge and you're you're correct Jesus did say if you had known me if you had not knowledge of me you should have known knowledge of my father also and from henceforth you know him or I'm going to take you to a further Revelation you have known him who's the himm father you have known him and have seen him you don't only have the knowledge of him but you've seen him well Phillip thank God for people that ask questions oh I thank God for people that ask questions matter of fact after I finished today if you have a question please find me I I I love people that have questions about scripture well I'd like to ask you a question but it's really a dumb question no that's impossible you could not inquire about the Living Word of God and it be a dumb question there there are no dumb questions you could ask me about the living powerful lifechanging word of God Phillip saith unto him Lord she or show show us the father and it suffice or satisfies Us in other words he he just heard him say that we we we've known him and we've seen him we we've known the father and we've seen the father and Philip just says please show us the father and we'll be satisfied Jesus saith unto him have I been so long time with you and yet hast thou not known me Phillip he that hath seen not known seen me has seen the father how sayest thou then show us the father if you seen me you've seen the father matter of fact I'm going to ask you a question back how is it that you're SE saying show us the father now watch how Jesus explains this he says I'm how is it that you're saying show us the father believest thou not that I am in the father and the father in me the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself watch this now where's the father at but the father that where's he dwell at where's the father dwell in me he knew doth The Works believe me man that I am in the father and the father in me or else believe me for the very Works sake in other words he was saying philli you're asking me to show you the father who do you think that was that turned water into wine Phil up you're asking me to show you the father who do you think that was that caused the paralyzed man to get up and roll up his bed and walk out Phillip who do you think that was when I came walking to you on the water you saying show us the father Phillip who do you think that was when I said Lazarus Lazarus come Lazarus come forth turn go back if you would please or or go go forward just a bit in verse chapter 14: 28 because this is an interesting read here um Jesus is speaking and he says in verse 28 he says you have heard how I said unto you I go away and come again unto you if you love me you would Rejoice because I said I go unto the father for the father is greater than who the father is greater than now this is where a lot of modern in uh doctrines and this is why we need to know the doctrine from the Bible a lot of modern doctrines will teach you that God is three separate persons they are co-equal they are co-eternal they are co-equal that means each is as much God as the other God the son is no more God than God the father and God the father is no more God than God the Holy Ghost and you get where I'm saying but here plainly if God the son is Jesus God the son is plainly saying in verse number 28 I go un the father for my father is greater than I that does not sound like equality but the true definition the true definition of that is simply that the humanity is not as great as the deity the man was made weak God became in the likeness of sinful flesh and the man and and you got to understand what I I don't understand Jesus is on the the cross Jesus is on the cross and he prays my God my God why is Thou forsaken me and and and and who is he praying to if he's God if he's God who is he praying to and and and and of course it's simple sometimes Jesus spoke as a man why he was a man sometimes Jesus spoke as God he was God that's why the Bible has him under two categories brother Nolan Jesus is referred to as the son of man that's Mary's baby and he's referred to as the Son of God he is the son of the spirit the fleshly manifestation of the spirit of almighty God not three separate beings up here not three separate beings co-equal co-eternal but one God who robed himself in flesh and became the mediator between God and man the man Christ Jesus he became came that he became he became that mediator well let's let's continue on this dual nature sometimes he spoke as man he's called son of man sometimes he spoke as God he's called the Son of God the Dual nature the Dual the Dual nature of Jesus Christ first John go back to the Epistle of John first John chapter 3 and someone say praise the Lord praise the Lord the Bible says in verse 16 of 1 John 3 hereby perceive we the love of what the love of who the love of God because who because he and the he is God because he did what laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the Brethren how do you kill a spirit you can't you can't kill
