if you have your bibles and would turn with me to the book of luke chap 11 by this time on wednesday night your bibles ought to just be fallen open to the book of luke 11 i believe that prayer is the most important subject that a christian should keep on the front burner of his life luke 11 verse number one listen very closely and it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place when he ceased one of his disciples said unto him lord teach us to pray as john also taught his disciples he said unto them when you pray say our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done as in heaven so in earth back to prayer let's pray precious god i know tonight that many of these good people standing before me have worked a long time today i know that god many of their minds are weary and their bodies are tired but lord they have given a sacrifice of praise on this midweek service to come out to your house and lord for the next few moments would you anoint their pastor that i would be able to feed them with your word that it would be nourishment to their spirit god lord i give you praise and i will give you honor in jesus' name we pray amen amen you may be seated tonight back to prayer it's very important as we begin as we begin luke 11 and 1 that as jesus was praying there was some of his disciples one of them that had the request lord teach us to pray but not only was the request teach us to pray but he he added to it as john also taught his disciples now quite honestly when you read that that that little passage there as john taught his disciples we often think of john preaching as that red-faced double fist prophet telling people to repent baptizing in jordan river and john the baptist was all of that but he also knew that the life of the convert would depend upon his prayer life oh our baptism is wonderful our water baptism and our spirit baptism is both in themselves necessity but it's only the beginning then john began to teach his disciples how to pray well these disciples ofes jesus came and they made the request they said teach us to pray as john also taught his disciples in verse two if you would look at that and i hope they put it back on the screen jesus says to them and he said unto them when you pray say and and and this is almost the connotation is he he's saying to them now the way that john taught you to pray was one one way but i am teaching you how to pray a relationship prayer a relationship prayer because if he was going to repeat what john said then he would just have said well hey john's teaching on prayer go hear john or you know how john teaches on prayer but jesus opens up a new dimension of prayer and it's relation ship prayer would you say that word with me relationship relationship prayer he says when you pray and notice this when you pray the first word he said say so we're going to understand that if you're going to pray you have to open up your mouth when you pray say and here's the first thing he said our father which art in heaven hallowed be thy name or honor and glory honor and glory that's what the word hallowood means when a little boy come home from sunday school and told his mother he knew the name of god she said well what is it he said howard hallowed be thy name hallowed be thy name another little boy came and heard the preacher preaching and he came home and told his mom mom said what' you learn at bible study tonight said never cut an adult tree down said leave an adult tree alone i believe the pastor was preaching on adultery all right our father our father which art in heaven hallowed honored that name is honored be thy name and we understand that the very first words he wants to say is disciples prayer is about relationship it's about relationship it's not about listen real closely now it's not about routine if prayer is a routine it will get boring if it's just a routine prayer has to be about a relationship and he starts it off so beautiful our father our father now some of you were brought up by a wonderful example of a father a wonderful example of a father a loving father a providing father a present father many of you and i could start naming several that have been brought up by that but you got to understand that there's a lot in this building tonight that was not so fortunate to be brought up by a loving father a faithful father a present father and so when we begin to mention the word father when we begin to mention the word father somehow we can get a little blurred here but i want you to know tonight i want you to know tonight when it comes to god our father he will never do you nothing but good amen nothing but good let's look at it in luke just drop down a few verses to luke 11 still but verse number 13 listen to what jesus says in verse number 13 if you then being evil now that's that's the opposite of him if you then being evil know how to give what kind of gifts good gifts unto your children how much more look at that wording now how much more shall your heavenly father give the holy spirit to them that ask him i'm going to tell you something tonight of everything you could ever receive in life the baptism of the holy ghost is the greatest gift that you could ever receive it's a life cher it's a life cher that's why of everything he could mention that he could give to you he mentioned the utopia he mentions the holy ghost he calls it the holy spirit but it's the holy ghost you have to understand tonight the greatest gift that you've ever received in life is the baptism of the holy ghost it's the greatest gift it's the greatest gift keep it active in your life it will lead you it will guide you it will warn you it will reward you but you got to keep it active in your life how much more shall your heavenly father give the holy spirit to them that ask let's go to let's go to psalms in the old testament and see what a father is like in psalms chapter 103 verse number 133 somebody say amen psalms 103 verse number 13 like as a father pth his children so the lord pth them that fear him now i'm going to tell you something if you are in a natural normal relationship if you're natural you're normal you love your children all right if you don't love your children you really need to get a hold of an altar and get a hold of god because when you love your children when you really love your children they're very special to you and do you know you only want what is good for them you only want what is good are your children perfect let me say let me rephrase that is my children perfect don't answer that is your children perfect no but neither are we but aren't you thankful that god pies us god pies us you see i have to i have to get us in the frame of mind that when we come before god we're coming before our father not our judge we're coming before someone that knows what's best for us even before we know what's best for us i'm kind of just kind of lead you a little slowly tonight as a father pth his children so the lord pith them that fear him now let's go back to the new testament let's go back to the new testament romans chapter 8 verse number 15 this is what happened to us when the luke 1113 when god gave us the holy ghost this is what happened happen to us romans 8:15 paul said for you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear you have not received the spirit of fear you have not received the spirit of fear this is not the spirit god gave you but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry abba father when we receive the baptism of the holy ghost what are we saying we're like a newborn baby crying out in that delivery room when we cry out in when when that baby cries out in that delivery room it's a sign of life that's what they're wanting to hear the doctor and the mother is wanting to hear and when we receive the gift of the holy ghost and cry out in a language that we don't know well what are we saying we're saying abba father he is our father now not a judge not someone that i'll never i'll never please not someone that i can never get his approval come on somebody not somebody that i'll never get his approval can i tell you tonight god is pleased with our gathering god is pleased that you got off work with a sore back and a weary mind but you had a heart to go to the house of god to hear about your father and i'm going to tell you god is pleased with that tonight god is pleased with that well we're about to enter into the christmas season and many cards i believe i believe this scripture right here is the number one scripture on christmas cards isaiah 9 and6 isaiah 9 and6 for unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon on his shoulder his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty god the everlasting father the prince of peace of all these things that god wanted to tell in the old testament look forward to this a child is going to be born a son is going to be given he's going to be called wonderful that's a miracle that word there wonderful means a miracle he's a counselor he's the mighty god he is the everlasting father he wanted us to know in the old testament that when messiah comes he's going to be our everlasting father there's not going to be any shadow of turning there's not going to be any changing with him can i tell you tonight church that we change as we get older and one of the way one of the things this is one of the reasons of pray prayer we need to ste stay plugged into him so we don't change for the worst we need to be getting better the older that we get and not bitter the older that we get and one way to stay fresh with god is understand when i come before him he is my everlasting father now understand this tonight if you can comprehend a god that loved you in your sin if you can get up and beller and cry and talk about being a drunk and immoral and you came to church and god wrapped his arms of love around you listen to me tonight he didn't grow out of that love for you he didn't he didn't grow out of that love for you so if you can comprehend a god that loved you as a sinner you ought to comprehend a god that still loves you as a saint of god you ought to still comprehend that because he is the ever i wish somebody say it with me he is the ever he is the everlasting father now let me tell you about our father our father our father knows how to correct us when we go astray so i don't i i don't think he's i don't think he really loves me i i i seem i seem to be in god's woodshed right now well can i tell you something you know the older people would know what going out behind the barn meant you know and i say woodshed and i there's a generation going wonder what he means by woodshed that meant where you got your uh correction all right that's where you got your if you were from the north you got a whipping and if you're from the south you got a whooping all right that's that's that's what that's what happened but parents that corrected children now i know we're living in a in a in a um uh uh culture and all all that all that business and you know i'm not going i'm g go i'm not going there because here we're here all right you know why you know why kathy that daddy you know when when our mother disciplined us it was kind of wild okay it was just kind of you know we brought a note home from school that said we we did something we shouldn't do and you know she just grabbed something something and go to go to wearing the out none of you had mothers like that right oh yeah but our father our daddy john our dad he wouldn't like that he'd come home from work he worked at goodyear tire company he come home from work mama tell him what i did wait minute let me correct mama would tell him what kathy did or jerry or johnny did and uh dad said okay you going to get a whipping and uh he said said good let's go in here and eat and you sit down at the table i knew what that meant that meant when he gets done we're going down in the basement we had an old furnace down there down in the basement he had a black belt and he would take that belt off i knew i'd been there for i got it down he'd reach and get you by your good hand and i'd always try to give him my you you know here i can guard with this and no i don't want that hand i want that other hand and he begin take it and i i personally think motherly i turned out pretty good i know i'm a man i i work a job mother thorp i've been working the same job i've been pastoring here for 39 years i've held down the same job for 39 years i i've i i've raised i've raised kids and they helped sister caron i've raised good kids and i mean i don't know it may sound wrong but sister suzanne fuller i think i turned out pretty good being whipped with that leather belt didn't turn me against leather or anything i don't have any mental issues or why'd he do it why'd he do it because john virgil carpenter loved kenneth ray carpenter he loved me that's why he did it look at look at uh is this all right tonight hebrews chap 12 and verse number five let's look at this for a moment because the the early apostolics had a the early apostolics had an issue with a father giving them discipline he says in hebrews 12:5 and and ye have forgotten and ye have forgotten the exhortation with which speaketh unto you as unto children my son despise not thou the chastising of the lord nor faint when thou art rebuked of him for whom look at verse six real close for whom the lord loveth he chastise or chasteneth and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth if you endure chastising god dealth with you as with sons for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not verse n furthermore we had we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us and we gave them reverence shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the father of spirits and live he said those fathers those fathers now i'm me tell you when dad was sitting at the supper table said after i get done eating um we're going downstairs and and then he would look over and say you need to eat and i'm thinking you're about to kill me what i want to eat my last meal and then he would just get up now at the time at the time did i enjoy it no i didn't at the time at the time i begin to think the opposite he doesn't love you he would say things he would say things like this this is going to hurt me more than it hurt you and i thought well let's trade places all right but do you know as maturity came because when merchants road when merchants road in knoxville turned into just a street just a street merchants road brother thorp was just a street but merchants road turned into a two-lane highway all right now i think it's probably a four-lane highway all right but merchants road turned into a two-lane highway and my dad said don't ride your bike to kmart well to get from black oak drive to where kmart was you had to cross over merchants drive and so i crossed over merchants dr drive dad didn't catch me the first time nor the second time but i got i got comfortable in my sin and i decided to go up from kmart to what's called cast walkers and that's where he got me he saw me there when he got home i got a weapon all right and why because it was dangerous for me to be on that road and he loved me he didn't want me to get hit by a car so when god chastens us it's because he loves us but he doesn't chasen us to hurt us he chastens us to correct us and guess what i'm standing here honoring my father although our father our father has been dead since 1977 i stand here tonight and i give him i give him honor why because i know that he loved me that's the reason that's the reason let's go back to verse nine furthermore we we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us and we gave them reverence shall we not much rather be in subjection into the father of spirits and live for they verily for for a few days chastened us they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure that meant that my father our parents have a vision for us and that vision is for good although the word pleasure is there it doesn't mean like they were delighting in in and chastising us but god for our profit that we might be partakers of his holiness now no chastising for the present seems seeth to be joyous but grievious nevertheless afterward it yielded the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them them which are exercised thereby meaning if you endure chastisement if you endure this it's going to produce the right fruit in your life if you endure it if you accept it if you accept it it will produce the right fruit in your life at the time of your chastisement it doesn't seem to be to be pleasant but afterwards why does god our father chastises psalms 119 verse 67 i believe holds the answer to it why are we chastised by god now wait a minute brother carpenter you started off real good but now you you're you're you're staying on this note of chastisement that's because that's because we have to understand that when we go astray when we go astray yes it is a loving god that that i can preach to you but it is also that loving god allows chastisement to come to our life look at this verse before i was afflicted i went what i went asay but now i have kept thy word he said before i got afflicted or chastised i started airing off i started going astray but the chastisement or the affliction has brought me back home so it's a good thing it's a good thing when we go astray and we're all prone to do that that's why i'm preaching on prayer tonight because prayer is our great reset for our spirits if we don't allow prayer to get inside of our spirits we will go astray from our walk with god we may still come to church we we we may still dress the part etc etc etc but if we're not praying we're not allowing god to reset in us that christlike spirit the psalmist said before i was afflicted i went astray i veered off the right path i wasn't living the way that i should live but the affliction the affliction has caused me to keep is to keep the word let's look at somebody that went astray he's found in the 15th chapter of the book of luke luke the 15th chapter of the book of luke and verse number 11 has an interesting story about a young man that went astray in luke 15 and verse number one the story goes like this and he said a certain man had two sons the younger of them said to his father father give me the portion of goods that falth to me and he divided unto them his living in other words the this young man got impatient he didn't want to wait for his father to die in order to inherit the the the things that he was going to inherit so he makes the request to give me now i i want right now i want right now now we may we may want to ask in the in the story here brother ericson why did god give him or why did the father give him the inheritance it's simple because god would rather you get on the path of restoration even if it means that you're going to make some horrible mistakes because if he would rather have you right in spirit than in his house wrong in spirit he could have said no i'm not giving you the inheritance i'm not giving you the inheritance you have to wait for me to pass in order but he gave him he gave him the goods and it follow along wr the younger said unto his father father give me the portion of goods that fth to me and he divided unto them his living not many days after the younger son gathered all together took his journey into a far country and there wasted his substance with righteous living the word substance there means foundation when the father gave him the inheritance it was his foundation for life it was something that he could build upon the bible said in verse 14 and when he had spent all there arose a mighty famine in that land and he began to be in want now that word want there was something that he never experienced as long as he was in the father's house he never had experienced wanting something to eat he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country and he sent him into his fields to feed swne and he would fain having filled his belly with the hus that the swine did eat and no man gave unto him boy he's living in a cruel world now he's outside of the father's house but sometimes we can't appreciate the beauty of the father's house until we get out in an ugly world and really realize just how ugly and cruel it is out there no man gave to him and when he came to himself now that's that'll preach right there alone right do you know when people are requesting to leave the father's house they're not in their right mind who in their right mind wouldn't want god who in their right mind wouldn't want what the praise team sang about tonight i have found a friend in jesus he is everything to me who in their right mind wouldn't want to be taught from a book that is holy and healthy and wholesome who in their right mind who who in their right mind living for god living for living for god is an addiction that doesn't ruin your health serving god is an addiction that doesn't ruin your mind you get healthy in your mind you get healthy in your body you get healthy in your ways but when you're not in your right mind you're not in your right mind when you're not in your right mind you see the father's house as walls of restriction but oh he suffered the consequences and i believe the father knew all the time that father knew all the time time you're going to suffer those consequences he would have gladly eat what the swine did eat no man gave to him verse 17 when he came to himself he said how many hired servants of my father have bread enough and despair and i perish with h you know what begin to wake him up i mean when he saw the the swine and the hunger he began to remember well my father has servants that have bread and enough to spare then you know the rest of the story i will arise i will go to my father i will say father i'm no more worthy to be called your son just make me a servant you know that's the attitude that all of us should have not an attitude of entitlement i'm owed something none of us are owed anything god doesn't even owe us anything but oh i want to be a servant tonight to him i want to serve him with praise pr i want to serve him with my attendance to the house of god i want to serve him with my obedience tonight he just simply said just make me just make me a servant now let me add this to you the consequences of his decision was what turned him to come back to god please if you find yourself in the pig pin of life let your consequences not keep you away from the house of god but let your consequences bring you back to the house of god now we know the father gave him a ring a robe and shoes we know the father killed a fatty calf but we don't hear where the father ever restored his inheritance now i'm going out on a limb right now can i tell you whether the inheritance ever comes thank god for the robe the ring and the shoes and the meal just thank god that i'm back in god's house i'm back in my right mind right now i just i just i just give him i just give him thanks here's another example of of uh consequences the man's name is jonah the man's name is jonah it's an interesting story it's an interesting it's an interesting read but just let me break it down for you tonight jonah had a god-given opportunity had a god-given opportunity god spoke through jonah jonah was a prophet god spoke through him we have god's spirit god speaks through us jonah was a prophet jonah had a god-given opportunity church tonight through prayer will help you to always appreciate your god-given opportunity to be in his house tonight jonah had a god-given opportunity but jonah chose to to disobey god you see we all have decisions this is the reason i'm going to promote prayer tonight prayer can reset you to make the right decisions please please listen to me look up here at me tonight as your pastor please don't make life altering decisions without prayer please don't make life altering decisions ision without having prayer and the only way i can describe it to you sometimes god tells me what to do he tells me things to do but he doesn't give me the green light and i have to wait sister glenna until god gives me that green light what's it like i can't describe it to you it's just the green light it's just it's the time to do this i've prayed about but i'm going to tell you something when you don't know what to do pray and don't do anything until you get the green light you see jonah chose to disobey god we all have choices we don't have to obey god we can choose to disobey god but even when we're disobedient god doesn't turn his love away from us you say oh yeah yeah god got him god got him no god chastised jonah oh jonah decided not to go to nineveh that that's that's right because he could choose that he went down and got a got on a boat to go the opposite direction of nineveh that's right he did that but god loved him enough to send a send a storm out after him see god when we make the wrong decisions thank god that he does send storms he does send now that the the devil when you make a wrong decision he will give you a momentary a momentary mirage of a paradise but don't get comfortable under your palm tree sipping your kool-aid there's a storm out on the horizon because god loves you and i too much god loves you and i too much just to let us go on our merry way god says i tell you what jonah needs he has slapped sound asleep in the bottom of that boat he's got down in the bottom of that boat and move some big sacks of wheat around he's got him a hammock down there he is sound asleep but i'm going to wake him up cuz i'm going to send a storm out on that boat and man them sailors got worried them sailors got nervous and they started throwing things overboard to lighten the ship so it could ride on top of the water and they got down there throwing wheat out and they looked and lo and behold a man sleeping the man said awake thou sleeper and call on your god if you have one and and jonah woke up and then they all got together on on deck and the captain said all right one of us the god ods is after one of us and which is it and they did a thing called drawing lots you be like everybody put their name in the hat they pulled old jonah's name out they said man what have you done and he told them he said i'm going the opposite direction of god said god told me to go to nineveh and preach to the ninevites but i went in the opposite direction and they said well what are we going to do with you and he said the only thing going to calm this sea down is you got to throw me overboard you got now now you got to realize jonah didn't know jonah didn't know that god had made a submarine following him see he he didn't know all that all right and we read it like i know what happens big you know big whales falling well well they didn't know think about what happened when they picked jonah up and they threw him into the sea for a split second he's a goner right he's falling overboard he's a goner can i tell you tonight sometime when we're suffering our consequences we just think we're a goner we just think it's anytime i'm about to die but then he feels the slimy slick lips of that whale as it swallows him now people that try to say the bible's not true they say that there's never been a fish there's never been a fish now there's been there's been fish large enough to eat men to eat people and they found bones inside of fish i i give them that but they said there's never been a fish with a carcass and a stomach and a gut so large that a man could sustain for three days that's true read your bible closely the bible said the lord prepared a fish he prepared one he made one with a little bubble inside that would keep jonah alive and for three days and three nights jonah went up and down in the deep in the belly of the whale he went up and down in the deep until all of a sudden he began to pray and he be to say god salvation is of you god salvation is from you god and i repent god god if i had another opportunity lord if you'd just give me one more chance and the bible says that old fish let me tell you something a praying preacher will make a fish sick to his stomach that old fish just come up on the bank and that old fish just spit jonah out on the shore and then the bible are y'all ready for this the bible said and the word of the lord came un jonah the second time aren't you glad for a god that'll let me go through some consequences but he be the he'll be the god come on somebody he'll be the god that'll speak to you y you ought to give god some praise nineveh got the opportunity to be spared nineveh got the opportunity to be spared from the wrath of an angry god let me tell you something a preacher preaching to you is the greatest opportunity you'll ever have in your life a man of god that has prepared a word from the lord for you is one of the greatest gifts you could ever receive it's going to save us from the wrath of god it's going to prepare us for his coming nineveh how privileged you are nineveh that that jonah comes to nineveh and gives nineveh an opportunity to repent and we know the story brother nol and nineveh repented didn't they they repented and when they repented what did god do he turned his wrath and he spared that city and listen closely now listen closely they repented and god spared them they repented everybody say they repented they repented and god spared them say that with me they repented and what' god do can i tell you that just because god spared you does it mean that you get to go back living in the spirit that you were when you made the wrong decision see what what i'm trying to preach to us tonight sister kay is that we need to get in the spirit that helps us make right decisions and not wrong decisions and the only way you can be in the right frame of mind and the right spirit is to have a daily reset button with god god search my heart god know my ways and you know what if you'll truly pray god will tell you about your faults god will tell you about your failures god will tell you god god god will tell you not to harbor things in your heart the holy spirit of god will bring things to your mind and and and he'll tell you not to do this and not to that he'll lead you and he'll guide you you see just because nineveh repented didn't mean they were going to be saved and i'll show you this there's a book called nahom it's in your bible nahom n ah m nahom you know why the book of nahom is written it's written because nineveh went back to their old old way of living and in nahom 1: 2 and i want you to follow this we're going to close with this in nahom 1 verse number two please get in mind tonight n whom is written to nineveh well they already repented they did but just because you cleaned your house and got a touch from god does it mean that you don't need to keep cleaning your house listen to verse two nahom one and verse two god is is jealous the lord revenge the lord revenges that's twice that says he is furious the lord will take vengeance on his adversaries and reserve wrath for his enemies the lord is slow to anger and of great empower and will not at all acquit the wicked the lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm and the clouds are the dust of his feet they went back to that living and god was angry i i i i just got to tell you tonight yes he is a loving father yes he's got the ring the robe and the shoes and the calf yes he's all that but if we keep going back to the old way that we're living he is a god that is filled with wrath and i don't want to meet the judgment of god i don't want the judgment of god upon me because he loves me too much to let me go merily on my way to hell he's going to do everything he can to turn my life around go to chapter two of nahom chapter 2 of nah verse number 13 behold i am against thee saith the lord of hosts and i will burn her chariots in the smoke and the sword shall be devoured shall devour thy young lions i will cut off thy prey from the earth and the voice of thy messengers shall be no more shall be no more be heard wait a minute n wait a minute why isn't nahom a prophet going why isn't nahom a prophet why isn't he going to neva like jonah did in saying repent because now these people need to be told of the judgment of god now i know it's not happy slappy preaching you're not going to hear you know they we're not going to sell tapes of this tonight but folks can i tell you that when we continue to turn our back on god god will send us messages of repentance and restoration but then he begins to send us messages he begins to send us messages of judgment messages of judgment he says i'm going to cut i'm g to and your messengers will be heard no more go to chapter number three go to chapter number three with me verse number one woe to the bloody city it is full of lies and robbery the prey departeth not the noise of the whip the noise of the rattling of the wheels and the prancing of the horses and the jumping of the chariots the horsemen lifteth up both the bright sword and and the glittering spear and there is a multitude of slain a great number of carcasses and there is none end of their corpses they stumbled upon their corpses because of a multitude of whoredoms and of the well-favored harlot the mistress uh the mistress of w witchcraft that selleth nations through her whoredom family through her witchcraft behold listen to god now behold i am against thee sayith the lord of hosts i will discover thy skirts upon thy face and i will show the nations thy nakedness and the kingdoms thy shame i will cast abominable filth upon thee and make thee vile and i will set thee as a gazing stock and it shall come to pass that all that look upon thee shall flee from thee and say nineveh is laid waste who will bemoan her when shall i seek comforters for thee church listen to pastor tonight i am a man that preaches restoration i am a man that believes in that word of god coming the second time but please listen to me tonight wake yourself up if you continue to go down the sinful path that you're going there's not a message of restoration for you it is a message of judgment and you don't want that judgment i don't care how busy you get i don't care how prosperous you get i don't care how things look in your life there is judgment coming to your life shake yourself get a hold of yourself don't take the preaching lightly don't take the worship lightly don't take living for god lightly because there will be judgment i remember many many years ago many many years ago and i have one more verse of scripture to read but many many years ago on a sunday morning i gave an altar call at the mcginley street church i believe the altar call went for some half hour i pleaded with a man there was a man there in that congregation you got to understand probably at that time everybody that was in in that church would fit in everybody was there's probably more people in this section right here but i pleaded with that man please come today please give your life to god today please come today god wants to help you today and finally dear my altar call i had my eyes closed but finally i just looked at the man and the man shook his head no he shook his head no it would be a few days later that i would meet a different man i would meet a man that was in the blunt count jail looking through a plexiglass at him because the judgment of god had fallen upon his life and that man had a different attitude then with a hand on the screen he was saying pray for me would you pray for me would you pray for me and absolutely i will you say well is he not going to be saved that's between him and god i don't i don't know where the man's at tonight but i do know this why did he have to go there because god sent jonah there to tell him you can repent i got a ring a robe and some shoes and a meal and i got a brand new life for you why do you need to go there and i i plead with somebody tonight in this place please wake yourself up don't be cynical about the things of god this is the end of time if you've ever shook yourself shake yourself now nineveh because if god has to come to you again it's not a preacher called jonah it's god saying i'm g to break your chariots i'm gonna burn your prosperity i'm going to take things away from you i'm going to put you in a situation would you stand let me read
