tonight with a smile on her face and Undertaker could not wipe off she said Corinne is here tonight with our grandbaby and so we want to welcome that precious grandbaby grandma's holding that grandbaby right now Corinne if you only knew how happy you've made your mom and dad take you can't hardly get sister Seton away from here she works around here I've threatened to build an apartment here my buddy he went to the hospital have that baby she was nowhere to be found we wish welcomed that baby Corinne in the house of the Lord tonight praise God Luke 24:49 jesus said and behold I send the promise of my father upon you but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high he led them out as far as to Bethany he lifted up his hands and blessed them came to pass that while he blessed them has parted from them and carried up into heaven they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy and we're continually in the temple praising and blessing God amen I said chapter 1 and verse number 19 and verse 20 Isaiah 1:19 and verse 20 the prophet said if ye be willing and obedient ye shall eat the good of the land but if ye refuse and rebelled he shall be devoured with the sword for the mouth of the Lord have spoken in I couldn't entitle this tonight the road to Pentecost but God gave me three words on Wednesday he told me to preach on these three words humility which I did Wednesday night thirst for scriptures which I preached this morning and tonight awaiting a great manifestation of God's power I want to preach on the final word obedience obedience now God we love you tonight we cast our crowns to your feet we thank you Lord you are Lord of all and you are lord over all lord I praise you tonight Jesus O God of all eternity I worship you tonight and ask for your favor and anointing as I Minister your word your word is alight your word is alive your word is sharper than any two-edged sword your word is able to do what nothing else that we have is able to do Lord touch our hearts tonight bless these people Lord that stand in your presence tonight and those that are with us by way of the World Wide Web let your spirit God be upon us in Jesus name we pray amen before you're seated would you give God a tremendous Handclap offering right now thank God thank God thank God thank you thank you you may be seated we spoke about humility humility is simply that kneeling in the presence of God and that submission we spoke about thirst that is longing for the Word of God that is trusting in the Word of God but this third word is obedience we understand that just shortly before Jesus ascended into heaven he gave instructions to the disciples but tarry he that word means to wait tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high we understand that no sooner had he said this that a cloud received him out of their sight and they made their way back to Jerusalem they made their way back to Jerusalem and the Bible says that they went up into an upper room where there they were in one place and one Accord one place they were in the same room not only were they in the same room they were in one Accord their minds were in harmony with each other their minds were yoked together their minds were on one thing and that was receiving the promise of the father which was the Holy Ghost that they were there in that room and some have said it was seven days some have said it was ten days but really it doesn't matter it doesn't matter if it would have been seven months or seven years they were obeying their master because he said go back to Jerusalem and tarry until until obedience was something they proved their humility they proved their trusting of the scripture and now they manifest their obedience to God they were in one mind one Accord and one place and then we know that suddenly the choir and boy didn't acquire sing beautifully about that tonight man go ahead and give them a hand didn't acquire this absolutely I'm glad I got a choir that sings about the Holy Ghost amen I'm glad we still talk about the Holy Ghost we still believe the Holy Ghost we still believe people receive the gift of the Holy Ghost you are in a Pentecostal church that believes in receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost the Bible said they were in one Accord one place suddenly they came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind filled all the house where they were sitting there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire he set up on each of them they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance Oh what that might must have been like that first Pentecost when they can go back and explain it but simply three words humility thirst and obedience whatever you and I need from God tonight we can start our track to get it if we will practice those three words that are life-changing those three words of humility thirst and obedience you see them obedience plays such an important role in our walk with God as a matter of fact you cannot serve God did I say that you cannot serve God without obedience it is impossible to serve God without being obedient you understand with me that at the root of obedience is trust you will never obey anyone that you don't trust or at least I would say you would not faithfully obey anyone that you do not trust do you know why they went back to Jerusalem and waited for an undisclosed period of time do you know how they made it through there until because they trusted the one that gave the commandment there's no room for doubt when you have trust when you believe that God is who he says he is and that God will do what he says he will do you'll find it very easy to serve God because you just simply believe what he said he said I go away to prepare a place for you and if I go away I will come again and receive you unto myself you're looking at one preacher tonight that believes in the coming of the Lord so why do you believe the coming of the Lord is it the science of the time that you see is it the way that our culture is today no those only validate what I believe in my heart the Lord is coming back not because we're seeing in morality as never before the Lord is coming back because he said he's coming back and you can trust it take it to the bank the Lord is going to come back oh I find it easy to trust God's Word even when God's Word is difficult because I understand that God would never withhold any good thing from those that that walk uprightly before him devil you're not going to infiltrate my mind and tell me that the commandments of God are Grievous and the commandments of God are difficult they may be difficult to the flesh but to the inward man they are honey and the honeycomb they are sleep because you trust in the God whose name is Jesus would you give him some praise with me tonight I gotta get you to understand you'll only obey God if you trust God and at the root Pastor Lee at the root of obedience it's trust at the root of disobedience is distrust so I don't know why people are not obeying I am know exactly why they don't trust you I know why I know well why don't I don't know why they don't do such and such it's simply because they don't trust God you see when you put humility and thirst and obedience together you have a miracle heading your direction when you put humility and thirst for God's Word together and obedience I just feel like something good is about to happen I just feel like something good is on its way oh the choir knew the song I'd have them come up here right now and start in all happy days you know why it is impossible to put humility first and obedience to Jesus Christ in your life without having a day that's a happy day it's a miraculous day it's a day that anything could happen because you're walking with those three great words in your life well I began to read about a story in the Old Testament second Kings chapter 6 verse number one you see tonight God's ways are perfect God's ways are perfect and when God has a system we can trust in that system when God has his ways you can learn to trust in God's ways one of God's ways is we get together and worship Him we get together and we praise Him we understand that we can do more together than we can separately I like what one one Patriot said when he was challenged they were challenged by threats from England he said brethren we will either hang together or we'll hang separately he said I want to hang together you you know how the banana got peeled don't you it left the bunch amen and you sure to get peeled if you go leaving the bunch ah I want you to know what a lot of people are thinking they have a better plan of communion with God I still like that original plan have come on and let's get together and go to the house of God somebody sing a little song and some buddies have a little prayer somebody bring me a little word just a little talk with Jesus I'll make it right I would have tell you tonight you were obedient to God's Word when you started today around five o'clock to get ready for the house of God and you walked into the house of God you're mixing humility your mix and thirst and you're mixing obedience all together God's ways the second book of Kings chapter 6 verse number 1 and the sons of the prophets said unto Lysa behold now the place where we dwell with thee is too straight for us there's not enough room here we don't have enough room for the Bible School it was a school of the prophets and there was a school of the prophets was growing and they came to the well they well they came well they came to their pasture that's what Elisha was he was the Dean of the Bible College he was head over the school of the prophets they came to their pastor and they said we got a problem it's crowded let us go verse 2 we prayed the unto Jordan and take fence every man of being and let us make us a place there where we may dwell and pastor answered go you that says a beautiful typology here because these young men had a plan but they wanted their spiritual leader to endorse that plan because they understood the power of obedience so they came to him and they said Elijah pastor Dean of the College it's too crowded around here we got a plan if ever one of us boys get a log we head off to Jordan find us a good flat place by the river we can build a new Bible College have a little room to grow and they heard what they wanted to hear the man of God said go you go you go ahead it's a good plan you know spiritually sometimes we have too many lone Ranger's in the church we have too many superheroes what wonder women that believe that they're going to make it all by themselves I don't wanna hurt your feelings tonight I really don't I'm nothing but the God that called means everything I'm nothing III don't have a lot of education that's obvious I don't have a lot of a lot of other things that's obvious also but there's one thing I know that I know that I know is that God called me to preach I know that I know that I can get down on my knees and I can start calling on his name and I can say Jesus Church is going to be in a couple of days an anniversary service is going to be in a couple of days a district conference is going to be in a couple days Jesus I need something to say I need something what what do they need Lord and somehow this God that I served he comes down and begins to put faults in my mind he begins to tell me to look at this verse and look at that verse and then he tells me what to say and I give God all the glory tonight it's not me but it's the God that's working through me I want to say it again tonight there's nothing special about me I'm flesh and I'm bold but there's a God that put is calling upon my life and it's our calling to lead a group of people I can't make I can't intimidate you I can't force you but if you'll follow me I'm gonna try to get you to heaven if you'll follow me I'm gonna try to get you to please God if you will follow me I'm gonna try to lead you in the holy paths of the Almighty God give you up all these boys these boys didn't have the mentality they didn't care what their Elijah thought they had the mentality we got a plan but we want to hear Elijah say go he said in verse two go ye and one said be content I pray thee and go with thy service now watch this demo boys said brother chase so help me making this up in Scripture them old boys said we not only want your approval man of God we want your presence with us it is not good enough for you just to tell us that we can go but we want you to go with us you know the answer I will go is it amazing a man of God cannot force yourself into your life you cannot force submission you cannot force obedience but you know what my buil want to go without you and guess what he said I'll go if you want me in your life I'll be in your life if you don't want me in your life you have nothing to worry about you've already shut the door man of God might want to be in your life man of God might want to help you out but the man of God cannot speak to a closed door if a man of God is going to have influence you've got to step on out and say man of God I invite you into my life I invite you into my family I invite you into my situation I know you don't know much about business brother carpenter but would you remember and pray for my business I know you may not know much about the trade that I'm in but I believe that the trade that I'm in needs the anointing and the power of God upon it you may not know all the things that it takes to get my trade going but I believe that you serve a God that can give me some wisdom and I invite you into my life I want to know I want you to know I want you in my life tell me how to have a happy marriage tell me how to raise my children tell me when I'm going astray tell me when I'm not doing what I need to do pastor if I'm not worshiping like I Auto worship would you please tell me that I need to worship the way because I want you to go with me hi I will go now in case somebody's saying that's in the Old Testament let me take you to the New Testament first Corinthians chapter 11 verse number one the Apostle Paul be ye followers of me even as I also am of Christ he's not an egotist he's not some kind of egomaniac he's not some kind of dictator he's a man of God and he's saying I'm following after Christ and he tells those that are following him follow me as I follow Christ now I praise you brethren that you remember me in all things and keep the ordinances as I delivered them to you I know this is old-fashioned I know this might give some belly laughs by critics that watch on the one on the well worldwide win I know that some may look at this is archaic they may even send you a text message that they pity you that you have to sit through this but I want you to know that your life would be much better if the decisions that you make in your life that you would remember your spiritual leader in the process of making those decisions young lady young man when you're choosing a mate I would to God that you would think not about her eyes his eyes hurshe what your heart feels like how they make you feel I wish you would step off for a moment before you make that decision and you would begin to remember spiritual authority before you move your country to somewhere nowhere USA where there is no church but you're gonna make some big money I was the God that you will remember your spiritual roots well can we worship just a little bit to that tonight I wonder how much noise we can make to that you what does my pastor think what does my pastor say it's my pastor it's God's way God raised up a man over me God didn't raise up a committee over me God raised up a Moses over me God didn't leave my salvation to me and some talk show radio Winfrey but God let it up to a man of God preached to me Watchmen on the wall tell me what you see watchman on the wall thank you that you remembered me second Kings chapter six verse four let's go back to the story we got a plan go do it we want you to go with this man of God I will go there down there so unlogged not sleeping now I'm talking about really saw it logs so he went with them and when they came to Jordan they cut down wood but as one was filing a beam he was cutting limbs off of a beam the axe head fell into the water and he cried and said alas master for it was borrowed since the tragedy I borrowed somebody's axe head I borrowed this you do realize that before the axe head was lost it was loose see there's some too sometimes sometimes people get loose and when you start getting loose the next thing you know your loss cut away with that cutting away and all of a sudden all of a sudden the axe had come on but he didn't just come off it flew in to the water in the Jordan River I'm gonna tell you why you mean the man of God in your life because life is a hazardous place to be without one life is a hazardous place to be without one there's unexpected things happen in life thank God for the man of God there's things that happen in our lives children all of a sudden start acting in an ungodly manner but if you've raised your children in the house of God and if they've got any favor with the man of God when your parental when your parental position hasn't had any effects I know what I'm talking about tonight when our parental position has been an effective thank God for the man of God because the man of God has been able to step in and the man of God has been able to reach out able to get ahold of some children and turn our back around you better get a man of God in your life you better get a preacher in your life not just somebody you like what he's telling you what you want to hear you better get you a man of God in your life because life is a dangerous one man I God he was borrowed many God I want to tell you again there's nothing there's not anything special about the man as a matter of fact if a man ever starts flowing ever starts floating himself a special run from him there's nothing of the flesh that is special I joined with my fellow laborer the Apostle Paul and I say that in my place there dwelleth no good thing so what makes you different than any other male in this house tonight one word anointing you can't explain it you can't put it under a microscope you can't put it in a test tube you can't figure it out you either you either ears oye I know ain't good grammar that's the best way I got to describe it you're either anointed or you're not you either have it or you can go and you can go to classes and know how to button your coat and you can know how to stand up to be seen speak up to be heard and sit down to be appreciated you can go through all the classes you can work on tones of your voices you can go to the emotional classes where they talk you to teach you how to think about certain things and cry little tear as you're going to this point and how to be effective upon your ministry but I just gotta tell you tonight none of that will break the yoke but give me somebody that's anointing give me somebody that's not the anointing ah you can't really put your finger on it you don't know why you're attracted to them you don't know why you keep on coming back to church you've heard the guy you know his mannerisms you know his jokes before even starts telling them you can about tell what Rudy's in by the way he walks to the platform but you keep coming back year after year why because let the anointing the anointing is oh pardon me tonight pardon me pardon me pardon me pardon me but and please I I'm not saying this embarrassing I'm not saying it embarrass anyone I really cannot remember who it was that said it I can't remember who but but but I do remember it was our nature directors that told me my daycare directors told me her name sister Jeter date her directors told me she said brother Cartman some of these teachers rent here believe that you have the rooms bugged said there's one teacher that came and she said I am telling you he's got our classroom bugged because we'll say things in that class and the next thing I'll know he'll be right up there behind the pulpit saying it I won't tell you so help me God cross my heart stick a needle in my I'm telling you right now I don't have any crop classrooms bug and I don't stand and eavesdropping no doors and I don't listen the sec I don't I don't like secondhand smoke and I don't like secondhand gossip either but could it be and thank you sister Jeter for telling them could it be that a God talks to me and that I God will begin to tell me again again I want to tell you something I want everybody I want everybody to be seated but my wife and when I make this statement I want you to stand when I make this statement sister carpenter my wife that would be you okay it's the only one I think I've got all right understand since then when I make this statement if it's true I want you to shout as loud as you can Amen when I make the statement have I not only murus occasions told you that such-and-such is going to happen and such and such is going to go down of which you have told me I don't know I only believe you because you're the man of God but I really don't and has he not come to pass I said that say man hey folks again I promise you tonight the ways of God are not the ways of the world the ways of God instead of having humility you've got to have pride instead of having a search for the scripture you've got to have an open mindedness to anything-goes and instead of being obedient you'll work out your own way god I'm so glad tonight that God has a perfect what is it what is it it's the anointing in Exodus chapter 30 and verse number 30 and thou shalt anoint aaron and his sons and consecrate them that they may minister unto me in the priest's office and thou shalt speak unto the children of israel say this shall be a holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations upon man's flesh shall it not be poured neither shall you make any other like it after the composition of yet it is holy and it shall be holy unto you whosoever compounded any like it or whosoever putteth any of yet upon a stranger shall be cut off from his people God said there's a fragrance that's made with the anointing oil I don't want it on man's flesh I only want that aroma to be when the priests of the Most High God is coming through he said don't make anything like it now I'm just preaching this because this is what God told me to preach and I want you to know if you think I'm comfortable with these messages you don't know me very well but I'm under a mandate from God tonight I may not always be in this pulpit I don't you listen age will eventually we can me and take me from this place when I walk away from this guest for my last time may I leave a people that are used to the anointing of God may I leave a people that are looking at this pulpit and said I don't care how well he can speak care how well-trained he is but just does he have the anointing does he have that unexplainable yoke breaking ability to cause people that they came to church they didn't have no plan of going to the altar but when the word got preached they found their place in the altar people came the church didn't heaven it didn't have an ideal about getting baptized but before the service was over the anointing got a hold that woman and they were baptized in Jesus United you anointed back to 2nd Kings 6 and 6 desperation master it was borrowed first thing I'd like to bring a point out aren't you glad they asked him to go because the man of God is not very far from tragedy and he's not very far from a miracle either listen to what the man of God says and the man of God said where did it fall and he showed him the place yeah give you a little word of wisdom here if you've lost something you know the best way to find it remember the last place you had it as a preacher said make me jerk remember where you had it last can I tell you if you've lost your joy figure out where you had it last I'll tell you back at him oh good old days when I was working at the church rise in Sunday school and I was in the choir and I came up around the altar after the preaching and we were really sold out and dedicated well you know what if that's the last place you can remember having it why don't you go back if the last place you can remember filling Holy Ghost was one using the choir can I submit to you y'all to get back in the choir if the last place you had the joy of salvation is when you talk Sunday school can I submit something to you why don't you go back to teaching Sunday School the man of God said where was the last place you saw it he said right over there man of God oh I'm telling you tonight if the last time you had joy was when you had a prayer life go back and get your prayer life if the last time you had joy was when you went to church and you said Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus you didn't care what anybody thought you didn't care that your back was tired you didn't care that your mind was tired you came to worship Jesus I'm telling you if you'll go back to the place you had it last let me throw this one in there well I tell you what back when I was tithing and giving offerings light bills were paid car payments were paid rent or mortgage was two or three months paid in full you know I don't know what's wrong now I up and get down boss some money and get the lights turned back on hi I got to hurry up and get the car paid or they're gonna get it I gotta hurry up get the house paid or we learn a bit can I just tell you don't take an Einstein to figure this out I promise you ain't mad I'm just I think I'm annoying it don't take an Einstein to fear it out you're too humble yourself you are a thirst after the scripture you ought to obey what the scripture says it may not make any sense you don't understand I'm tired and you're telling me to worship that's exactly right because it's obedience you don't understand I'm broke and you're telling me to give that's right because it's obedience why you good you don't understand I hate some people and you want me to go tell them I love them that's right because that's what we do we thank you Jesus praise the Lord I love you Todd you're altogether lovely Lord that's what this church is paid up on it's not made up of a bunch of bunch of busy Dan I have a lip service it's made up of people that love God it's made up of people that have the job I wish somebody shout to the top of their voice you know why there's a spirit here right now because about 500 people will be hit to the man of God hallelujah that's like Laura's falling that's not the presence of the Lord is falling shut like there's power in Shafter to the Lord with the voice of triumph well God showed me some things in the scripture today as ice filing the beam hail Auster accident verse six and a man of God look at this closely and the man of God said where fell it and he showed him the place and he the man of God cutting down a stick cut down a stick wait a minute I've lost my axe head but ain't lost mine see you need to stay around a man of God because when you lose your sharpness he lost his that's why if you're here tonight and you're a pastor you're planning on being one one thing you can never do is lose your edge mother farc we don't have the comfort of losing our edge we have to worship when we're trying on the inside we have to magnify the Lord and tell you how faithful God is even when we're having questions in our own mind of when God is going to come through because we don't have the convenience you hear this now you hear this now there was one thing that the priests were not allowed to do the priests were not allowed to rent their garments everybody else could fall under despair and show an outward sign of being in deep despair they could reach and rip their garments but the priests were ordered don't you ever rent your garmet why because God said you're my spokesman God said you're my representative when all hell is broke loose against Israel I don't need a man up there with a red mantle I don't need him up there looking like he's discharged and hell's got him on the on the ropes and hell's about got him under he said man I thought always kid up there and when everybody else has ripped their garments you get up there with my garment that's ironed a garment that's pressed and you tell them that he's a faithful God you tell in him that he's an awesome God you tell them when you're burying their dead yeah he's a healing God you tell the other one life has turned upside down honor that he's a searching God you tell them well they don't understand that he's your wiseguy hey does that make sense they lost their eyes but he didn't lose his he cut down a stick and cast it into the thin thither and the iron did swim I can't explain it I can't tell you how I earned swims didn't say the iron float it said it swim I don't know if he was doing the chop block but he said it swim now a lot of folks get too highfalutin or too educated look your dad say yeah and I bet you that you believe a fish swallowed a man too don't you yeah he did that's right because when you enter the realm of humility thirst for scripture and obedience anything's possible what you say it last right there here's I know you've lost your edge but I lost mine what threw the stick in all of a sudden but it's slam around he is swimming around there he's swimming around but would you notice something with me and the iron did swim there for he he who the man of God therefore said he take it up and he put his hand he put out his hand and took it now can I tell you God could have been powerful enough but the silly oh yes he couldn't God could have caused that ax had not wanted to swim but it could have come a jumping out of that water and come and land it right back on that at that handle sure but you know something the man of God is not the only actor on the stage of the miraculous you are because he turns and it's swimming around and he looks head even says take it up take it up see what I'm about to do in just a moment these miracles in this altar there's a kind of us miracles all kind of things can happen but you know what you're gonna come back there and overwhelm you you gonna have to come in take it up you're gonna have to come and take it out I wonder right now I wonder right now something come on I guess some things coming to my mind right now I wonder if God wouldn't honor somebody's fake tonight that needs something from God if they wouldn't walk down here and bend down and pick up an invisible axe head out of the altar pick it up pick it up pick it up pick it up wait you down pick it up it's a little strange to me yes so was it when that axe head floated to sister Edith Richmond in the name of the Lord Jesus may God honor you tonight may God honor you tonight oh my god honor you tonight may God honor you tonight come on I want you to humble yourself tonight humility would have you say I don't care what it would take I'm gonna walk down there I'm gonna bend down I'm gonna I'm gonna pick up an invisible axe head I'm gonna draw it back up because I believe that God is about to do something right now somebody need healing tonight somebody need deliverance tonight come on somebody need healing right now praise God praise God praise God praise God praise God hallelujah hallelujah come on it's your miracle right now it's your miracle right now it's your miracle right now do you have too much pride to do that do you have too much pride do you think it's silly how do you think oh my God my God Allu yah hallelujah hallelujah you can receive the Holy Ghost right now you can receive the Holy Ghost right now you can receive healing right now come on saints of God I'm asking you and everything you've got in you pour your heart out to God let's go ahead trazan right now go ahead and worship Him right now crazy mutt you don't care who's listening I mean crazy mutt you don't care who's watching I mean worship like you don't care who's watching you oh there's a miracle in your worship there's a miracle in your obedience there's a miracle in your obedience come on there's a miracle in your obedience that's right Brittany that's right Bri they worship him right now Brittany God's got a healing for you Brittany Harvey God's got a healing for you right now my God my God my God my God my God folks I'm nobody folks I'm nothing folks there's nothing special about me but there's a God speaking to my heart tonight he saying tell my people to humble themselves tell my people to thirst after the scripture tell my people to be obedient tonight I'll begin to do miracles in their lives I'll restore them I renew them I'll make the impossible possible come on Nolan come on Nolan lay your hands on some sick people come on lay your hands on some sick people come over the Schilling lay your hands on some sick people but let's shooting I believe you believe there's a god that can heal cancer Shonda Shonda your chorus I tell y'all I behold us brother Bruce where the Bruce turn around let your hands on my sister-in-law deliverance don't ever ask come on Nolan come on Mary God come on Dakota boy come on Dakota might start going through this crowd laying hands on people come on Dewayne or come on the language you can't put that grandbaby down for a moment Dwayne I need you to let your hands come on Shawn Emmons come on William Jeter come on elders there's a miracle God here
