him praise oh there was Jesus oh there was Jesus there was Jesus thank you Lord there was there was Jesus I promise you if you took my phone if I gave you my passcode you took my phone you Googled YouTube what's going to come up on YouTube is that song there's probably not a day goes by I don't listen to that song right there cuz I want you to know that wherever you're at the highest mountain of Joy or the deepest dark Valley of Despair just look around woo Hallelujah just look around there he is whether you're at the hospital welcoming a baby into the world or you're at the funeral home preaching a funeral you turn around and there's Jesus in the midst I'm glad that he's a friend that sticks closer than a brother this morning thank you if you have your Bibles and would go with me today to a familiar story in the Bible 1 Samuel chapter 17 and verse number 40 David is about to confront Goliath King David he would later be king but David was about to confront Goliath the Bible says in verse number 40 he took his step in his hand and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook put them in a shepherd's bag which he had even in a script and his sling was in his hand and he drew near to the Philistines and the Philistine came on and Drew near unto David and the man that be the shield went before him when the Philistine looked about and saw David he disdained him for he was but a youth and Ruddy and of a fair countenance and the Philistines said unto David am I a dog that thou comest to me with staves or or straps and the Philistine cursed David by his gods and the Philistines said to David come to me and I will give thy flesh into the fouls of the air and to the Beast of the field then said David to the Philistine th th comest to me with a a sword and with a spear and with a shield but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts the god of the armies of Israel whom thou Hast defied this day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand and I will smite thee take thy head from thee and I will give the carcuses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air and to the wild beast of the the Earth that all the Earth may know that there is a God in Israel and all the assembly shall know that the Lord sath not with sword and spear for the battle is the Lord's and he will give you into our hands came to pass when the Philistine arose and came and Drew nigh to meet David that David hastened and ran toward the Army to meet the Philistines David put his hand in his bag and took fence a stone and slang it and smote the Philistine in his forehead that the stone sunk into his forehead and he fell upon his face to the Earth so David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone and smokee the philistin in and slew him but there was no sword found in the hand of David it take me a few moments to get to the meat of this message but I simply today want to minister on the subject Jesus Christ the son of David Jesus Christ the son of David if you love God and love his word would you rejoice with me right now father we thank you today God we thank you we We Praise You the Lord this morning for your word your word is a lamp your word is a light God your word is our comforter today your word is our Compass God today now Lord Jesus for the next few moments would you anoint my lips of clay that I may speak your word Lord may I speak it with fire and anointing today May it prick the hearts of the people that he may lives be changed today May Spirits be comforted today in Jesus wonderful name we pray amen amen would you give him a thunderous hand clap offering right now oh hallelujah oh hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah what a great God we serve today you may be seated Jesus Christ the son of David 10 times in the Book of Matthew the Holy Ghost inspired Matthew to record that people will call Jesus Christ the son the son of David 10 times as a matter of fact in the Book of Matthew Matthew chapter 1 and verse number one we don't get far at all the Holy Ghost would Inspire Matthew to say the book of The Generation this is the fleshly lineage the book of The Generation of Jesus Christ and here's one of the 10 times the son of David the son the son of Abraham King David as we to understand to understand better to understand better the reason that he was referred to as Jesus Christ the son of David is because King David had a desire to build God a house King David looked around his kingdom King David saw how prosperous he was and King David felt ashamed that while he lived in a sealed house that the Arc of the Covenant that represented the presence of God was in a tent and so David David spoke to the prophet Nathan about building God a house and David's David's Prophet David's Prophet Nathan told him to do whatever was in his heart said David whatever is in your heart you you you do that if you want to build God a house you just go build God a house David then God began to talk to the prophet Nathan and God be to tell the prophet Nathan you need to go back and you need to tell David that he is not going to be permitted to build me a house he is not going to be permitted to build me a house but his son Solomon his son will build me will build me a house but then God actually you you know you you do find out with God don't you that anytime God tells you no God has something better in mind for you anytime God gives you a no always understand that he has something better in mind so God said no you tell David that he not going to build me a house but 2 Samuel 7:5 go and tell my servant David thus sayith the Lord shalt thou build a house build me a house for me to dwell in verse go go to go down to verse number 12 and when the days be fulfilled Thou shalt sleep with thy fathers God tells David that when all your days are ended and you breathe your last breath and you die you sleep with your fathers I will set up thy seed after thee which shall proceed out of thy bowels and I will establish his kingdom so now God speaks to David about future generations of his l vintage go down to verse 16 and thy house and thy kingdom shall be established forever now listen to God your kingdom shall be established forever before thee thy Throne shall be established forever according to all these words according to all this Vision so did Nathan speak unto David so now I I want you to see this now that David asked can I build you a house and God says no but then God turns around and says David I've got something better for you I'm going to establish your house I'm going to establish your Lage I'm going to establish that of your seed there will always be one that is on the throne of rulership of leadership they'll always and and God uses the phrase forever now the Jewish people understood and believed that the Kingdom Under David was the most prosperous kingdom the Kingdom Under David was was prosperous God gave him Victory after Victory after Victory God gave him Prosperity their they increased in their land they increased in their wealth they became one of the most mightiest nations of the earth it was a prosperous time so the children the Jewish people understood and believed that this was their Kingdom but the only thing the only thing that got in the way was David's descendants didn't always serve the Lord they didn't always put God first and because they didn't always serve the Lord and put God first God would allow other nations to come in and they would defeat the nation of Israel they would take them into captivity but you see when God makes you a promise God's promises are greater than our failures when God makes us a promise Church God's promises is greater than our wrong decision and although Israel went a roller coaster ride of prosperous and in in bondage there was still that promise that the priest would talk about that the kingdom of David would last forever that the kingdom of David so now the Jewish people get in the mindset of restoration they get in the mindset that although they believed what I just said they believed that God's promise was was greater than their wrong decisions that God's promise was greater than their sin God's promise was greater than their punishment and so they begin to be a group of people that had a restoration mindset in other words they believed that God was able to restore the kingdom back they believe that God could restore and so as the priest would teach this from generation after generation they would talk about the kingdom of David they would talk about they would talk about about there's no end to that prosperous kingdom Isaiah would join along and in Isaiah 35 and verse number one the prophet Isaiah would talk about the kingdom of David and the restoration of David's Kingdom he said the Wilderness in the solitary Place shall be glad for them and the desert shall rejoice and Blossom as a rose it shall Blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy in singing the Glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it the Excellency of Carmel and Sharon they shall see the glory of the Lord and the Excellency of our God strengthen ye the weak hands and confirm the the feeble needs now I'm going to tell you something about people that are restoration minded they need to understand keep your strength up Keep On Believing your hands may get weak and your knees may get feeble but Just Keep On Believing and I if I if I could if I could minister to somebody today that needs Restoration in your life spiritual Restoration in your life uh I I I would tell you today Keep On Believing God's word is true not one of the promises of God has ever fallen to the ground he said strengthen ye the weak hands and confirm the feeble knees say to them that are of a fearful heart be strong fear not behold your God will come with vengeance even god with a recompense he will come and save you then see if this doesn't sound familiar of the Fulfillment of Jesus Christ then the eyes of the blind shall be open and the ears of the death shall be unstopped then shall the lame leap as a heart that's a deer and the tongue of the dumb sing for in the wilderness shall Waters break out and strains in the desert now they begin to not only hear about a restoration of a glorious Kingdom of David but they also begin to hear about God coming that God was going to come and when God would come in this Kingdom he said the blind would see and the deaf ears would be open and the lame would leap and the tongue of a dumb would sing and so they begin to mix this together that not only is it going to be a glorious Kingdom but our God is going to come and and when our God is going to come there'll be blind people that are going to receive their sight and there'll be de people that are going to receive their hearing and there'll be people unable to speak that'll be able to speak and there'll be crippled people that'll start walking again when our when our God comes so now the priest begins to mix this in to the teaching then David in the Book of Psalms chapter 110 verse number one prophet Isaiah said the Lamb's going to walk and the deaf are going to hear and the blind are going to see and he began to tell but then he said and our God shall be among us and David sheds light on this in Psalms 110 and verse number one when David said the Lord said unto my Lord set thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy foot stool David in a prophetic form David doesn't see two Lords David is prophesying and God the Lord can speak of those things which are not as though they were and although in the mind of God and the plan of God he was to be a man he was to become a man he was to become Isaiah 35 he was to become the one that was going to walk the shores of galile and walk the streets of Jerusalem and the blind were going to be healed and the deaf were going to be healed and the lame was going to be healed and the Bible said that David said the Lord said unto my Lord the Lord said unto my Lord set thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies thy foot stol now I'm gathering this all together today because to turn the corner there was a reason that they would say Jesus thou son of David now I want you to know something I want you to know something the religious and the prideful and the deceived never called him that they questioned him about that they got mad remember when Jesus came into Jerusalem riding on the back of that donkey and they got out in the middle of the street and they be to tear palm branches off the trees and they begin to shout hosana he that cometh in the name of the Lord blessed art thou Jesus thou son of David the Common People The Common People received it they were wanting restoration they needed restoration so therefore they begin to accept that this is Jesus the son of David the kingdom is going to be restored the blind are going to see the death are going to hear the the mute are going to speak and the lame are going to walk and so no wonder Matthew chapter 9 verse 27 says this and when Jesus departed then two Blind Men followed him crying saying thou son of David have mercy on us where did he come up with that somewhere generation to generation ation it was passed down a message of restoration a message of Hope can I tell you today that I have come to this pull pit as I have for going on 41 years not to speak death to you but to Speak Life to you I come here this morning not to preach a message of Gloom and doomed and free and you're out but I have come to Speak Life to somebody today because if we can keep preaching life some generation's going to rise up and say Jesus thou son of David have mercy upon us could you take a moment and just praise him right now would you just take a moment and praise over and over again the common people why it wasn't even even contained to the Jewish people only there was a Canaanite woman there was a gentile woman that had a daughter that was demon-possessed had a daughter that was grievously vexed and tormented from the devil she came to Jesus and guess what she said Jesus thou son of David have mercy upon us can I tell you today that church isn't just for the saved but church is for the unsaved I want you to know today that the saved come here and we are encouraged from time to time because wherever you're at saved individual you have high days and low days but your pastor wants to tell you today that we serve Jesus the son of David the god of restoration I want to tell somebody that doesn't know much about church today I want to tell somebody that you don't know much about church you may not be a church attender this may be listen you you may sit here today and say I haven't been in the house of worship in many many years but I've come to tell you today that you have hope also that God is able to give you Jesus thou son of David as a matter of fact Jesus got weary with the religious group that were not hungry they were not hungry you know people that not not hungry for God need to be put to silence I don't want to hear anybody talk that's not hungry for God now let that sink in if I'm going to have somebody talk to me I want you to be hungry for God these folks weren't hungry for God but they did a lot of talking so in Matthew 22 verse number 41 listen to this see if you don't get a chuckle out of it while the Pharisees were gathered together Jesus asked them saying what think ye of Christ whose son is he and they said unto him the son of David the son of David isn't that amazing to know restoration but not be hungry enough to partake of it a son of David I said oh he a son of David verse 43 Jesus saith unto them how then doth David in the spirit call him Lord saying the Lord said unto my Lord sit down on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy foot stol if David then called him Lord how can he be his son and no man was able to answer him a word neither does any man from that day forth ask in him any any more question I'm going tell you he just put them silence he said what we have to start on right now is you got to know who God is you you got to know who God is I'm going to tell you you you won't go very far on your own personal commitment but if you can ever have a revelation of who God is it'll set you up for Success it'll set you up to go forward don't you ever forget who God is forget about your strength but don't forget about his forget about your failures but don't forget about his victories they didn't ask him any more questions now I'll turn the corner today David chose five smooth stones and defeated Goliath with one of them stones in the Bible Church have a symbolic meaning God is called The Rock or stone of our Salvation rocks and stones have symbolic meaning in the Book of Daniel the old Wicked bile Pagan King saw a vision of a large statue and had a head of gold and and and and and shoulders of of of silver and it started off with excellent material gold but as the IM image went down to the feet it began to be inferior silver and brass and then it got down to the legs and the feet and the feet were were were two substances it was iron and Clay mingled together now we know by the study of the word of God that this image represents kingdoms of this world represents the kingdoms of this world but Daniel Daniel and please understand today Daniel never prophesied any about the church what we're in right now Daniel never prophesied about the bride of Christ Daniel never gave one prophecy about church about the the Ecclesia the body of Christ Daniel Daniel spoke of a rock Daniel 2: 45 for as much as thou sawest that the St Stone was cut out of the mountain without hands that it break in pieces the iron the brass the clay the silver and the gold the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass Hereafter and the dream is certain and the interpretation is sure all Daniel was allowed to see was that a Christ an anointed Messiah would come a rock cut out of a mountain made without hands and that rock is Christ Jesus and that rock comes and that rock will destroy all the kingdoms of this world and I'm not trying to be negative today I am not trying to get you in a end time mood today because the end of time should cause the church to Rejoice because the end of time is coming and all the kingdoms the Mind know that we're living right now and there's there's terminologies and I'm I'm not a cons conspiracy freak I'm not anything like that but my ears do perk up sometimes when I hear men boasting that we're entering into the Golden Age and all somebody's somebody has uh come up with a device and I'm thankful for it but it'll help people to walk and blind people to see and and I'm thankful for any any advancement in science and and all that but at the same time I got to tell you this world is not going to last forever now the truth of the matter is you don't have to go to heaven but you can't stay here you hear me you don't have to go to heaven going to heaven is your choice but when you begin to understand that you can't stay here and you understand that there's a destination one of two and I sure don't want to go to that place called hell I want to go to that place called heaven where there's a God there that loves you and I with a love we can't even comprehend there's a God there that has a plan for your life and my life that we can't even comprehend why it's a good life living for the Lord Jesus Christ he has a plan for us he has a will for us oh come on and praise him right now one day every Kingdom in this world from Great Britain to Great the great United States of America to the to the Russia to the European nations all the kingdoms of this world are going to come to an end but there's a rock cut out of the mountain made without hands and of his kingdom there shall be no end that's all Daniel saw Daniel just saw the rock cut out the mountain but then Daniel saw the end of time God would allow didn't allow him to see the church but he allowed him to see the rock cut out of the mountain and he allowed him to see the End of Time resurrection and in Daniel 12 verse number 1 and two the Bible said and at that and at that time shall Michael stand up the great Prince which standeth for the children of thy people and there shall be a time of trouble this is tribulation such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time and at that time thy people shall be delivered everyone that shall be found written in the book and many of them that sleep in the dust of the Earth shall awake some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt so God only showed Daniel the rock cut out of the mountain and the end of time but he didn't bring him in he didn't show him what you and I so this morning for the remainder of my time here I want to preach to you about five Stones if there's a stone cut out the mountain I want to preach to you about five Stones David took five Stones Jesus and David Jesus is called the son of David there's a lot of similarities there David defeated Goliath Jesus defeated the Goliath of sin there's a lot of similarities here but let me tell you about the first stone this morning the first stone Jesus wants you to know who he is he is God he is love he has a will for your life he has a plan for your life and if you would just get to know him you would serve him and you would fall in love with him now I try my best to teach us that there's only one one God I hope I've done the job that God's called me to do but far more than there's just one God let me tell you who he is he's a god of love he's a god of Mercy he's a God that before you took your first breath he knew you and he called you and I know this is mindblowing today and we kind of want to just dismiss it but it's true he knew you he loved you he worked out a plan for your life if you could only see in Heaven as in an architect's office if you go in in an architect's office you'll find plans hanging on the walls these buildings have not been built yet they're all in the architect's mind being built but when they get finished the contractor comes and takes the plan and goes builds the building if I could just convince every one of us today oh God help me that in heaven God has a set of blueprints with your name on it it's got the date of your birth it's got the date of your death it's got your days all numbered out and it has a perfect beautiful awesome unbelievable plan for your life that's why he said when you pray pray thy kingdom come thy will be done on Earth and actually if you read it the right way it's thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven I got to tell you he's a god of love today he's a god of Mercy today he's a god of an extended hand today that's who our God is stop focusing on what the devil has done and start focusing on what God wants to do if I can convince you of who he is don't take my word for it listen to what Jesus Jesus said evidently he was concerned about it he was concerned about people knowing his identity because in Matthew 16 verse 13 when Jesus was coming into the coast of cesaria Philippi he asked his disciples say whom do men say that I the son of man am and they said some and that's getting up on the wrong foot right there some say that some say that thou art John the Baptist some Eli and others jeremias and one of the prophets when I you got these people this is where I think the spirit of denominations come in Apostolic is not a denomination it's a do Doctrine the Bible said they were steadfast in the apostles Doctrine apostolics not a denomination it is a Doctrine Pentecost is not a denomination it is an experience of receiving the Holy Ghost but when we get among men there is a plethora of opinions about who he is some say you're John the Baptist some say you're Elijah some Say You're Just others some say you're Jeremiah some say you're one of the prophets and had they been allowed to go on there would be a group over here that identify with John the Baptist and there would be a group over here that would identify with Jeremiah and then would be a group over here that would identify with Elijah and they would get all divided they would get all divided but I'm not interested in denominations today and I don't want you to think this church is a denom denomination I want you to know who Jesus is because if I can get you biblically founded on who Jesus is you'll turn your life around you'll walk with a spring in your step and a smile on your lip you'll have your shoulders back because something good is about to happen something good is on the way oh come on give him a praise right now this one that one this one that one John the Baptist Jeremiah Li this one that one verse 15 he sath unto them but whom say ye that I am Simon Peter answered and said Thou Art the Christ Messiah the Son son of the Living God Jesus answered and said unto him blessed art thou Simon bar Jonah for Flesh and Blood hath not revealed it unto thee but my Father which is in heaven hang on now we about to pull the first rock out of the pouch and I say unto thee that thou art Peter and Upon This Rock I'll build my church and the Gates of Hell shall not Prevail against it once again I started off with this rock because if you miss this rock you've missed it all let me tell you who he is today he's a god of Mercy he's a god of love he's a god of forgiveness he's a god of kindness he's a god of comp passion and guess what he's walking among us today he's just walking among us today oh if your eyes can be open to the spiritual you would see two nail starred hands today walking up and down the aisle saying let me love you let me let me love you oh I'm just waiting for an invitation let me love you we got to go on today the second Stone and I I I I kind of got over in it just now but the second Stone Sister Carpenter is his mission was what what was his mission Luke 19 and10 for the son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost his mission see it again walking up and down these aisles Hands Extended Nails guard hands a smile on his face as he goes from Pew to Pew and looks up and down every Pew he saying I've come to seek you out I've come because you're lost I've come to seek you out now let me show you something about our God our God is not self centered if God was self-centered it would have to do with us just giving to him and us just giving to him and us just giving to him and us just giving to him and we hope we got him pleased cuz I don't want to go to hell and I hope we got him pleased cuz I don't want to get cancer and I hope we got him pleased you hear me today the god that we serve is not self centered he is a God that has others others others others others others others on his mind and he's walking around here today he's walking around here brother Lucas would you just stay standing back there in the back would you stay standing brother Lucas several months ago he began to lose an unbelievable amount of wait he should be a dead man right now with sugar all out of whack but I believe there was a God that looked at you brother Lucas and he said you're not going to die but you're going to live because that's what kind of a God that I am can I tell you he doesn't have an offering plate on his back he's got stripes on his back and the stri of mother the W I got to take a moment and just worship him right now come on somebody help me praise him right now he is not a self-centered God he is not a self-centered God Satan is a self-centered adversary but he is not a self-centered God hey you know he's not self-c Center well let me read you something how hungry would you be after 40 days of fasting Matthew 4 and verse number one then was Jesus led up of the spirit Into the Wilderness to be tempted of the devil and when he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights he was afterward a hungered he was hungry and when the tempter came to him that's our ad Neary when the tempter came to him he said if thou be the Son of God command that these Stones shall be made bread but he answered and said it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God if I turn stones into bread I present myself as a self centered God but I didn't come to use my Miracle working power to suffice me I came to be a servant oh if you could just see him today Philippians 2:5 let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God but made himself of no reputation took upon him the form of a servant you want to know what God is doing today he's serving you I I know we talk a lot we talk a lot about I'm serving God I got news for you you might be serving God but he's serving you too well the last Illustrated sermons he gave them he took a pale of water and washed their feet Peter refused to let him wash Lord I know uh you're not going to wash my feet that's this is a this is a job for the lowest of the lowest of the low servants Peter if I don't wash your feet our relationship's over over Peter said wash my feet wash my head pour the whole bucket on me then if you put it that way then Jesus turned around put His Garment back on he said in verse number 16 of John 13 barely verely I say unto you the servant is not greater than his Lord neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him if you know these things happy are ye if you do them can I tell you something self centered people are miserable people oh you let me say it again Pride will deceive you to think I need everybody to serve me it's all about me it's all about me it's all about me it's all about me can I tell you when a person is self-center they are so miserable they are so miserable my wife and I kind of went our separate ways on Friday and she had some chores to do and I had some things to do she asked me at the end of the day she said what what did you do what what what'd you do I said I went on I went on an encouragement tour what'd you do because that's how I felt I went to one Hospital me and brother Hammond we prayed for Morgan before she went down for surgery and I saw the Comfort on her eye that pastored brother Hammond were there we prayed talked in tongues in that room and praised God Morgans went home from the hospital too thank the lord we left there and we went over to UT hospital sister mun's mother was there she doesn't speak a bit she doesn't speak a a lick of English and I told Brother Hammond going in I said I hope sister Munos is here CU she she's bilingual and sure enough we missed her she's down in the cafeteria y'all have seen this I was trying to me and brother Zach were trying to were here to pray for you and I was trying to get my translator out and thank god sister Munos come back and but I watched that woman smile when sister mun begin to tell her by his stripes you are healed I said tell her God's in this room God's in this room I seen her smile a little bit can I can I tell you we left there went and prayed for sister snitch's mother B Memorial she was there on Friday didn't know what world she was in but I just begin to tell her she couldn't speak to me but I just begin to tell her sister Fleming God loves you sister Fleming think about Jes Jesus think about Jesus saying God came this morning a few hours ago and God took her from this whole world of suffering into the glory of Glory I left from there and I went down to see brother Bill cross that's in Morning Morning View and little rehab to help get some muscle in his legs I opened the door there and a smile was on his face and if I wasn't encourag him enough before I left here come Angela Patterson she had a pizza in her hand and Chinese food in her hand and she's smiling just like she is right now no she wasn't a delivery girl she was on a mission of encouragement can I tell you if you want to get happy find somebody that needs to be served and serve them and you'll be more like Jesus when you get your mind up matter of fact if you will do unto others as they you would have them do unto you you'll find out if you become a servant then it somebody will begin to serve you out of nowhere these things oh musicians would you come no you're already here a stone of being self centered oh I got to get three more Stones I I I promise you the third Stone the third Stone the first stone is who he is the second stone is the mission he's on the third Stone here me clearly hear me clearly clearly hear me Jesus isn't on a condemnation T of the world condemnation means to pronounce guilty condemnation means to pronounce useless hear me today Jesus Christ is not on a condemnation tour today for God so loved all hope and when you lose all hope you lose all prayer and when you lose all hope you lose all dreams and so you just tucked it in a cave somewhere and you rolled a stone at the door but Jesus came and he said I want you to do one thing for me roll away the stone and if I could preach to somebody this morning you've got a dram you've got a loved one you've got a prayer request you've got something that you've seen happen in the spirit but you've allowed the world the stink of the body the deadness of Lazarus you have allowed it youve allowed it to just absolutely destroy your vision
