Let me follow our theme tonight And let me, for just a few moments, preach on the subject LET ME TELL YOU WHO JESUS IS. What is important tonight is that we find out Who Jesus is through the Word of God. For, in first Timothy chapter three and verse sixteen The question that was asked in Matthew twenty-one ten, who is this, Is answered in first Timothy three sixteen And without controversy, great is the mystery of Godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit Seen of angels, preached onto the Gentiles Believed on in the world, and received up into Glory. So the question of Matthew twenty-one ten can be answered in First Timothy three sixteen Who is this? This is Jesus. This is God manifested in the flesh. Second Corinthians five fifteen further answers that question and says To know, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world onto Himself Not imputing their trespasses onto them And has committed onto us the Word of reconciliation Paul again says that God was in Christ Later in Colossians two eight, Paul gives a warning And we need to heed the warning What we need to believe is found between Genesis and Revelation What we build our live upon spiritually must be founded upon the Word of God He says in Colossians two eight through nine Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit After the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ Verse nine, For in him, Jesus, for in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily Let me tell you who Jesus Is! Colossians one fifteen through sixteen says Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature Verse sixteen, For by Him were all things created that are in heaven And that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether there be thrones or dominions Whether there be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers All things--notice closely now--all things were created by Him and for Him How could this world be created by Him and this world be created for Him? The answer is simple. It was created by God. God said, "Let there be light" and there was light. But how can it be created both by Jesus, by Him and for Him? It was created by Him being God. It was created for him Being that He would become our savior. He would become a man And he would come to this earth, unlike any other man that has ever lived. There has never been a man like the Lord Jesus Christ. And could we give Him glory and honor and praise in this house tonight? Jesus, Jesus is the only man with a dual nature. Jesus is called, in the Scriptures, the Son of God Meaning the fleshly human man. But He is also called the Son of Man. Jesus is both, in one body, He is both man Fully man, totally man, but yet, Jesus is fully and totally God. Matthew one twenty-three through twenty-five says that Jesus was born a baby Or a Son, but Isaiah nine six said He was born the Mighty God The Everlasting Father. In Luke two fifty-two, scripture said that Jesus increased in wisdom But John twenty-one seventeen says that Jesus knew all things. As man, He was born a baby, but as God, He was the Mighty God in Christ Jesus. As man, he needed to increase in wisdom, but as God He knew all things. Matthew four two says that this man, Jesus, grew hungry But Matthew fourteen nineteen through twenty-one says That He miraculously fed multitudes. Philippians two seven says this man was a servant But Revelations nineteen sixteen says This man was the King of kings and the Lord of all lords. First John one fourteen says that this man dwelt on the earth. Colossians one sixteen says this man, or the God in this man Created the earth. In Luke twenty-four verse forty-four It says that the man, Christ Jesus, prayed. But in John fourteen verse thirteen, it says He answers prayers. In Hebrews nine verse twenty-six, it says this man was the sacrifice for sins. But in Mark two verse five, it says He forgave sin. In John nineteen verse thirty it says this man died But in Luke twenty-four verse one, it says that this man rose again from the dead. Let me tell you who Jesus is! Jesus is God, Almighty God, manifested to you and me through the flesh. In John chapter fourteen, verses seven through eleven Jesus plainly told the disciples that they had seen the Father. John fourteen and verse seven, if you would place that on the screen for me So that we can all read, and read it together as we go down through verse eleven. Jesus said, "if ye had known Me, ye should have known my Father also And from henceforth you know Him and have seen Him." Now wait just a moment, Jesus said You have seen the Father, you know the Father Verse eight states this, "Phillip saith onto him Lord show us the Father and it sufficeth us Or that word, sufficeth, means to satisfy. What is Jesus' response? Phillip says, let me see the Father, we want to see Him. You have said that we have seen Him. Show us the Father." Verse nine, Jesus saith onto him, have I been so long time with you And yet hast though not known me, Phillip? He that has seen me has seen the Father. How sayest thou then, show us the Father?" Verse ten, Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me The words that I speak onto you I speak not of myself But the Father that dwelleth in me, He doeth the works." Verse 11, "Believe me, that I am in the Father And the Father in me or else believe me for the very works' sake So we understand that, when we say who was Jesus Christ The answer tonight in this Christmas program can ring out He is God manifested in the flesh. We don't need to stand as those in Jerusalem and say Who is this man? Thank God, we know who this man is He was not just another prophet. He was not just another philosopher. He was not just another miracle worker. The Lord Jesus Christ was Almighty God wrapped up in flesh And come to this earth to be our sacrifice for our sins. How important is it tonight to know the answer to who is Jesus Christ? Jesus said in John eight verse twenty-four If you believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins I don't want to die in my sins. I am so very thankful tonight, ladies and gentlemen To know through the scriptures and God's holy Word The answer to the most important question you will every ask WHO IS JESUS CHRIST? He is God. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Jesus Christ is the only door. There is no other door That will save you from your sins. There is no other name that will give you peace Contentment inside of your soul. There is no other name There is no other door, there is no other one That you can put your trust in, that can answer back. False gods will never answer you. As much money as you want to make The things you want to surround yourself will never give you True happiness and true contentment. Oh, my dear congregation tonight, put your trust and your faith In the name of our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Put your faith.
