would you stand with me right now for the reading of God's word what a wonderful song I think that goes right in with our Apostolic Bible Training Center go tell the world about me that's what the apostolic Bible Training Center is all about go tell the world about me boy I taught those ladies how to sing real good didn't I and I am a sinner amen if you have your Bibles join me in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and verse number 12 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and verse number 12 Paul is writing to the church there in Corinth a lot of rumors have been going on about Christ and a lot of things had been said about him a lot of false things had been said about him the biggest falsehood that was said about him was that he didn't raise from the dead They Crucified him that they could not deny but they started spreading a rumor that Christ did not raise from the dead as Paul addresses it in 1 Corinthians 15:12 and he says now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead but if there be no resurrection of the dead then is Christ not risen and if Christ be not risen then our preaching is vain that means empty and your faith is also vain empty yes and we are found on false Witnesses of God in other words we're Liars because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ whom he raised not up if so be that the dead raised not for if the dead rise not then is not Christ raised and if Christ be not raised just really pay attention to this if Christ be not raised your faith is vain ye are yet in your sins then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ or perish if in this life only we have hope in Christ we are of all men most miserable but now is Christ risen from the dead and became and become the first fruits of them that slept simple title today want to hold you for a few moments I want to let Faith erupt in this house and I want you to get a touch from God before you leave simple title today nothing is final with God nothing is final with God would you repeat my title with me today nothing is final with god father I love you thank you for the privilege of preaching your word I pray today Lord that as I preach your word your spirit will come and ride upon these words go into the heart of every man woman boy and girl that's here today and those watching online Lord I pray today that at the end of this message faith will erupt from our hearts we will connect with you and be strengthened and be changed we'll give you the praise and the honor if you'll use me this morning in Jesus mighty name we pray amen you may be seated nothing is final with God water H2O one of the elements that is essential for the existence of Life as we know it no water no life no water no life when they're trying to find out if there's life on other planets first thing they want to discover or they want to try to discover is there water there what's such a big deal about water no water no life so we're highlighting this morning and we need to highlight it every Sunday where highlighting the resurrection of Jesus Christ which is the foundation of our faith no water no life no resurrection and there is no life but I'm glad today to believe with all of our hearts that we're built we're built upon a foundation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ the resurrection of Jesus Christ well why would that be so essential Paul has said it if Christ be not risen our faith is in vain we're believing in just a fable if Christ be not risen our faith is in vain and the main thing if Christ be not risen we are still yet dead in our sins we are still living we are still living in our sins but I got good news today I got good news to bring you today and that is that death has been over overcome with light that Darkness has been overcome with light I've got good news to share to you today there was a resurrection the resurrection of Jesus Christ which brings to us the ultimate victory over death you see in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 excuse me 1 Corinthians 15: 26 we still have an enemy we still although Christ has risen from the dead we still have an enemy we find him in 1 Corinthians 15:26 The Last Enemy that shall be destroyed is death we still have this one enemy that has been defeated death has been defeated through the resurrection of Jesus Christ death has been defeated but death has not not yet been destroyed we still have one Last Enemy that would be that would be death but in the word of God we Christians today in the word of God we Christians today ought to sink our teeth into these verses because although The Last Enemy is yet to be destroyed The Last Enemy has been defeated but yet but yet we have scripture after scripture that God is telling us of the defeat or the destruction of death 1 Corinthians 15-55 listen to God taunt death oh death where is thy sting oh grave where is thy Victory you see we say goodbye to loved ones and we go to the cemeteries and it seems so final it seems so final and so sober to stand there but I've got good news to share with you today if you're built upon on the foundation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ with God there is no finals with God there isn't a final it's not the final there it's not the final there at the grave God taunts the grave Isaiah 25 in verse number eight he will swallow up death in Victory and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all off all faces and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off of the earth and the Lord has spoken again listen to God as he just taunts This Thing Called Death Hosea chapter 13 verse number 14 I will Ransom them from the power of the Grave I will redeem them from death oh death I will be thy plagues oh death I will be thy plagues oh grave I will be thy destruction repentance shall be hid from mine eyes God said death I'm about to plague you he he said death I am about to be the plague to you oh grave I about to be your destruction and then he says and I'm not going to repent about it I'm not going to change my mind about what I am going to do to death not only does the Old Testament bear this out but listen to the words of Jesus himself in Luke 2036 he says neither can they die anymore they were asking about heaven they were asking about heaven and what would be like in heaven he answers them neither can they die anymore for they are equal unto the angels and are the children of God being the children of the what the resurrection I got good news to share today and that is not only that God is Victorious over death hell and the grave but there's coming a day that we're going to live in a body that will never die we're going to live in a place and we're going to live live in a body that will never die now I'm going to tell you today if the enemy would like to attack anything in the church I don't think it's our dancing and our shouting and our music I don't think that I I I I really in my mind I I think the devil doesn't care how loud we get how fast we run or how high our hands get if we lose sight of the resurrection of Jesus Christ we've lost it all there is no joy without the resurrection there is no peace without the resurrection so please today let's not look at this as an old fundamental thing that needs the dust blowed off of it it's our life today that there is a resurrection that there is life eternal life you see to me the resurrection of Jesus Christ what we're celebrating today gives us a god of Hope a god of Hope well if there's anything people need today if there's anything people need today is an injection of Hope an injection of Hope Romans chapter 8 verse 24 listen to The Great Apostle Paul Romans 8:24 for we are saved by hope but hope that is seen is not hope for what a man seeth why do he yet hope for but if we hope for that we see not then we with patience wait for it we serve a god of Hope can I tell you what the Greek word for Hope means the Greek word for Hope is the expectation of something good the expectation of something better it is living our day it is living our life in a spirit of hope this is what the resurrection does the resurrection of Jesus Christ places our feet Upon A hope an expectation that there's better days ahead the expectation that things are not always going to stay like they are right now I don't know about you but that just about gets me ready to shout hallelujah this morning isn't it wonderful to have a hope that regardless of what we're going through tomorrow is going to be better regardless of the season of your life you ought to shake yourself right now and you ought to understand that I've got some hope inside of me you know preacher do you you see me do do you see what we're going through do you see what I'm going through you really think I've got hope in me I don't know do you because your hope is not what you can see because if you could see it why would you hope for it now you you got to realize preachers minds work differently okay but I was watching the news One Night in a tornado had came through a part of the country brother Seth and it had just riged Devastation I mean there were houses destroyed cars slipped upside down trees rooted up but they were interviewing this farm this farm that had got hit by this tornado I mean the barn was gone there were 10 uh 10 Roofing laid around everywhere and the farmers there giving the interview and and and uh he was telling about that there used to be a barn here and there used to be a barn there and U again we think a little different we preachers do and I couldn't help but be distracted from what the farmer was saying by watching a piece of tin that kept moving it kept moving and I thought that's not the wind that looks like something's under there and sure enough an old bany rooster Brother P come out from under that piece of 10 he was a little bit discombobulated looked like he had been through a tornado and I believe he had feathers One Wing was hanging down and one was kind of cocked the wrong way and he walked out and he shook himself a few times and bounced around a little bit and he jumped up on the the post that was there and he shook his head and he went it's the best I could do best I could be you see the barn may be gone I may have a broke Wing I may look like I've been through a storm but I'm still a rooster inside my nature and a rooster will Crow can I tell you I don't know what you're going through today and I'm not going to belittle it you may have visited a cemetery you may be going to get cancer treatment you may have an attorney get going through bankruptcy or divorce but if you have got the hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ deep down inside of you you can stand and give God a caise today it doesn't matter what you look like woo Hallelujah somebody ought to give him a praise right now the resurrection but hope that he seen is not hope for why would you hope for that which you see but if you hope for that you see not you with p patience wait for it hope the Greek word means the expectation that something good is coming when a woman becomes pregnant we now begin to refer to her as she is right she is expecting all right and we'll often say even about both of them the man and the woman oh they expecting now you you you you can't see the baby yet you can't you can't see the baby or you know they've got ultrasounds and now they got 3D and all of that but the only time you're going to hold that baby is when that baby is birth that's when you're going to hold the baby do do you know that God wants us to become pregnant today with hope if I could plant anything inside of your mind today that is Hope hey I just thought I was coming to an Easter C celebration and and something happened I heard some words that just caused me to believe that if I'll Stand upon the foundation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ because think about it today what's the worst thing can happen to you death but what did he do he tasted death for you and I and came forth Victorious over that death so today if somehow the next few moments whatever you're going through you could you you could have that seed of God's word come into your mind and all of a sudden you're going to get up in the morning and Monday morning is going to become a morning like something Good's going to happen something good is on its way I have the expectation of Hope of hope that is coming you see our Focus must be on hope that with God nothing is final isn't that the trick of the enemy to lock us in a frame of of life that says it's final your good days have already been lived buddy your good days have already been lived ma'am you just got to get used to it this is the way it will be for the rest of your life not so says this gospel preacher today because with God there's nothing that is that is final keep your keep your memory on the word of God that you have heard before the storm of life and I've written some things down I just want to read them to you our Focus must be our hope that with God nothing is final keep your memory the word of on the word of God that you heard everybody say before before the storm of your life you see that's why it's important when you're not in the storm to listen to what the word of the Lord is telling you it's not all about it's it's not at all difficult to believe God when all is well in your life and the lives of those what you care about but what about when things happen that there isn't a good reason for when disappointment comes to you every day your sleep escapes you your peace evades you your laughter is a vague memory you don't even remember when's the last time you laughed until your belly hurt Jesus knew the nature of man and during his ministry he began to prepare them for a time a season that it was not all going to be water walk walking and Miracle signs and wonders he begin to tell them about an agonizing prayer in the garden he begin to tell them about his arrest he begin to tell him about his mock trial his mockery his beating his death and yes his burial but guess what people are people back then and they are today they didn't listen they didn't listen he told them in Matthew 6 16:21 listen to this he's trying to tell the disciples Matthew 16:21 from that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples how that he must go into Jerusalem suffer many things of the elders and the chief priests and scribes and be killed and be raised again the third day Matthew 17:23 here it is and they shall kill him and the third day he shall be raised again and they were exceedingly sorrowful Matthew 20 and verse 19 and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock to Scourge to crucify him and the third day he shall rise again John 22 excuse me John Chapter 2 Verse 22 when therefore he was risen from the dead his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them and they believe the scripture and the word that Jesus said Luke 2 46 and this is the verse I want to get to the angel said at the tomb he is not here and I I saw a church sign one time that simply put that on I guess that's all the room they had on it they just put on the sign he is not here well I think they need to buy a beer sign amen he is not here but he has risen remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in gilee saying the son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and the third day raise again Rise Again look at verse eight what does it say and they remembered his words they remembered his words they had forgotten about it Terror had stricken them but it took an angel to stir them up right now while the sun is shining brightly on your life when you when you've got good health when the family's all intact when everything is smooth remember what the word of the Lord has preached to you because it's not if it's when the skies change and when the skies change may be you may you be able to reach down in your mind and get a hold of the good word of God and know that you have a hope that things are going to change now there's a story in the Bible there's a story in the Bible about three of Jesus's friends Mary Martha and Lazarus all right and um they're they're close friends you can read this through the Bible Mary Martha and Lazarus are close friends with Jesus as a matter of fact Mary anointed him and Lazarus had the title that uh Jesus loved him and as life went on Jesus would go to their homes and he would eat it seemed to be a favorite spot of where Jesus would go and hang out with Mary Martha and Lazarus but you see Lazarus fell sick he fell sick and his sickness probably progressed a little bit he probably didn't feel well one morning and didn't feel good for a week and maybe stayed in B stayed in bed for a while but the sickness got the sickness got to the place the sickness got to the place to where Mary and Martha said we got to send somebody to Jesus Jesus has got to come and heal he's got to come and heal Lazarus he's got to come and heal him and so they made a long journey a day journey to be exact to where Jesus is at and they came and the they said Jesus Lazarus the one you love is sick and you need to come and heal him the Bible said that Jesus stayed two more days in the same place got in a conversation with the disciples and said this sickness is not un death that the glory of God the glory of God uh would would be the glory of God would be revealed stayed two days and when he left to go to Lazarus guess what Lazarus died and they buried him died and they buried him the shortest verse in the Bible is found in this story the shortest verse two words John 11:35 two simple words shortest verse in the Bible Jesus wept Jesus wept now why did he weep now he gets there to the house and one of the sisters came out and you got it Lord if you had been here my brother would not have died he would have not not died isn't it amazing how much of our Lives we live in the Lord if you had just been here Lord if you just been here regret you know if if I just hadn't made that decision if I just hadn't if I just hadn't have done this if I just hadn't have made that silly decision Lord if you had been here my brother Wouldn't Die have died and he began to tell Mary begin tell Martha that he was the resurrection and she said oh I know that one day way after a while we're we're going to have a resurrection and Jesus um goes to um keeps going toward and he gets there he gets there in John 11:33 and the Bible says when Jesus therefore saw her weeping and the Jews also John 11:33 and the Jews also weeping which came with her he groaned in the spirit and was troubled now that that doesn't seem like a a a very compassionate thing uh for a Jesus to do you got people that are crying over a dead brother and he's there going oh oh I'm I'm I'm just troubled I'm just troubled doesn't seem like very compassionate to me and I don't think it does to you either he groaned in the spirit and was troubled and said now listen to what he says he's groaning in the spirit he's troubled in his spirit and said where have you laid him they said unto him Lord come and see Jesus wept why did he weep why was there weeping verse number 38 is going to tell us why Jesus therefore again groaning himself cometh to the Grave it was a cave and a stone lay upon it it was the stone of finality they had got to where it was Final it was over he is dead he is gone he's not coming back and when Jesus saw that th those that he loved sister Franklin had a final Spirit about them it caused Jesus to weep because he wanted to do more than just be the healer he wanted to be the resurrector he wanted to give them more than just a just a I'm a God that can heal and when he saw that they had put the stone of being final it caused him to weep I don't know this morning that some of us are not causing Jesus to weep today because we have situations and circumstances in our lives and you know what you and I have done we have put Stone there God it's final this is over I wish you had been here I wish I hadn't made those decisions I wish I wish I wish uh all that and the Lord begins to weep and he's troubled some of us may think the Lord's walking around here today happy at what's going on but he may pass a couple of pews and he's saying oh I just wish they didn't have the spirit that that is final because with God nothing is final I don't care how far away that son is from God I don't care how messed up your life is you hear this 5' 7 inch green eyed preacher today nothing is ever final with God nothing he groans because it was a cave and they had put a stone on it and then he said listen to what he says here he says here verse 39 Jesus said take away the stone Martha the sister of him that was dead saith unto him Lord by this time he stinketh and he had been dead four days Jesus saith unto her said I not unto thee that if thou wouldest believe thou should see the glory of God can I tell you something can I tell you something there's a lot of people that are buried right now under the stone of finality over a hurt over hurt if you you just understand a lot of people's actions in life are just hurt people there's just hurt people there's a lot of hurt people in our world they get hurt and then they just bury themselves on that stone and they say it's over it's out I've been hurt there's no way that there's no way that I can recover from this it's just a bummer of a life I wish I hadn't went there I wish I hadn't done that I wish I hadn't did this and this that and they buried themselves under a stone of its final but there's hurt there but Jesus walks through the house this morning on this Easter Sunday of 2024 Jesus walks through this house and he says I'd like for you to take that stone away now you're going to notice something brother Hammond there's two stones in the New Testament that get taken away one is the stone at Lazarus tomb and the other is the stone at Jesus tomb one had to be taken away by them Jesus when he raised last from the dead he didn't say I'm going to roll away the stone he said you roll away the stone but you see in US identifying our hurt today what was Martha what was Martha's words Lord if I take away the stone he stinketh by now you're right sometimes dealing with our past can become a stinky thing sometimes we don't want to go back and we don't want to begin to deal with that you're not standing in front of a psychiatrist today you're not down at the pharmacist trying to find you appe peel to help you deal with that hurt you're standing in front of the voice of the resurrection and the life and he's saying you would you please remove that stone of it being final would you please take it out it's a setup today Easter's all a set up today God says I put it in your heart to bring you here because I want you to take away the Stone from your life and let me breathe life into you let me bring life into you Lord by this time he's thinking but you got to remove the stone you got to remove the hurt a psychiatrist a pill a bottle a needle is not going to do it you've got to take a hold of that stone and say God I believe in the resurrection I'm taking this away today I'm going to open up my life if if it's forgiveness he'll forgive you today if you're the one that did the wrong he can forgive the wrong the one that did the wrong and he can Aid the one that was done wrong I have a story that I like to share with you today from one of Max's Leo's books it's a story I think it'd be applicable here says Rebecca Thompson fell twice from the Fremont Canyon Bridge she died both times the first fall broke her heart the second broke her neck she was only eight 18 years of age when she and her 11-year-old sister was abducted by a pair of holam near the store in Casper Wyoming they drove the girls 40 miles Southwest to a Fremont Fremont Canyon Bridge a onelan steel beam structure Rising 112 ft above the river below the men brutally beat and raped Rebecca so somehow Rebecca convinced them not to do the same to her sister Amy both were thrown over the bridge into the narrow Gorge Amy died when she landed on a rock near the river but Rebecca slammed into a ledge and was ricocheted into the deeper water with a hip fractured in five places she struggled to the shore to protect her body from the cold she wedged herself between two rocks and waited until the dawn but the dawn never came for Rebecca oh the sun came up and she she was found she was found the Physicians treated her wounds and the courts imprisoned her attackers but life continued but the dawn never came the Blackness of her night and the horrors lingered she was never able to climb out of the canyon so in September of 1992 19 years later she returned to the bridge against her boyfriend's boyfriend's pleading she drove 70 mil per hour to the North River with her 2-year-old daughter and boyfriend at her side she sat on the edge of the Fremont Canyon bridge and wept through though her tears through her tears she retold the story the boyfriend didn't want the child to see her mother cry so he carried the toddler to the car that's when he heard the Body Hit the water and that's when Rebecca Thompson died her second death the Sun never dawned on Rebecca's dark night why what eclipse the light from her world fear perhaps she had testified against the men pointing them out in a courtroom one of the murderers had taunted her by by smirking and sliding his finger across his throat on the day of her death the two men had been up for parole perhaps the fear of a second encounter was too great was it anger anger at the rapist anger at the parole board anger at herself for the Thousand Falls and the Thousand nightmares that followed angry at God for a canyon that Drew grew deeper and deeper was it shame was it regret did she do enough for her sister everyone she knew and thousands she didn't heard the humiliating details of her tragedy the stigma was tattooed deeper than the newspaper ink on every headline she had been raped she had been violated she had been shamed and try she might to outlive and out run the memory she never could so 19 years later she went back to the bridge the canion of Shame she went back and plunged herself to the bottom of that River and there she died can I tell you today the tragedy of this story how different it could have been if somebody could have got to Rebecca and begin to tell her there's a God that it doesn't have to be final you don't have to live with that rock of finality on your life there's a God today I don't know how I don't know how and I'm going to tell you something if I thought all I could help you with church is my finite mind and my my what little what little wisdom I've got if I thought today that the only hope you had was me I wouldn't be in this place today I wouldn't be in this place today because you would be all hopeless but there's a God that we serve that is a miracle working God there is a God that said I'm going to come and robe myself in flesh and I'm going to let them torture me I'm going to let them mock me I'm going to let them beat me I'm going to let them crucify me but three days later because I am God I'm going to raise up out of that grave and a new body and a new way of life and I'm going to promise it to all of you today I don't know if we've got some Rebecca Thompson in the house today but I got good news for you would you please take away the stone because nothing is final with God nothing is final with God let him heal your hurts let him Sab you let him help you let him raise you you'll smile again you'll laugh again you'll live again if you'll just take away that stone one stone you have to take away another Stone two women with ointment spices came early on this Easter Sunday and as they're going to the tomb as they're going to the tomb one looked at the other and said we forgot one thing what is it who will roll away the stone because it was a great the Bible calls it a great Stone who will roll away the stone truth of the matter is today there are stones that you have the power to roll away and there's other stones that you don't have any power you don't have any power oh I think I could live again if they would forgive me oh I think I'd I think I could live again if they'd be my friend oh I think I could live again my kids my wife my spouse I hear you I hear you I hear you but can I tell you you're talking about a stone that you don't have the power to roll away you don't have the power to roll that away oh if I could just go back you don't have the power to go back but the Bible says that an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and created an earthquake and one angel came I love the I love the imagery here one angel came and roll away the stone and then it says this and sat upon it what we're worried about moving God said I just need a place to rest for a little bit can I tell you nothing's too big for God I said nothing's too big for God God can create do you realize that everything we see today came out of nothing you so if you're standing there today saying I don't know if God can help me I'm just nothing honey you're the right stuff that God God wants to get a hold of you because he can work work with nothing I said he can work with nothing you believe that today he can work with nothing now these pastoral team here they have some of those fancy props they say if you're not a good preacher you need a prop I don't know about that part would you bring me my prop I got a prop it's a a dollar Store bag right there that's my prop when's the helicopter coming when's the helicopter going to get here it's here here's my prop brother Hammond come brother brother ER come on up here here's my prop that's a bag of rocks okay come on brother Hammond come on it's a bag of rocks I want you to remember this sermon today I want you to remember this today I want to give somebody in this place and church family excuse me today but I believe we got some guests here today that I'd like to give a gift to I'd like to give them a small decorative rock and I'd like for them to keep this there's nothing special I don't you think that we didn't import them from the holy lands I got them from the holy dollar store right up here off the bridge right but I'd like for somebody to take this home with you today I'd like somebody take this home with you today and keep it around you and when the regret and the hopelessness and the despair start closing in I would to God that you would just take this rock and say God can move this Stone God can move this right now now God can move this brother let just let's all stand pray for a minute father you know we've not stripped to this God there's no stripped here and God this is a part of the service that I'm just going to lean upon you to to to lead me and brother ericon and brother Hammond God just to pass out a rock to those that just just need something right now that just need something right now come on every head bowed and every eye closed oh mighty God Jesus you are our Resurrection Jesus you are our hope God you are our expectancy God breathe on us today God breathe on us today head bowed and eyes closed and brothers let me tell you brother Eric brother Hammond while they're praying right now while the church is praying right now be very mindful of those that are our guest today be very mindful eyes are closed hands are lifted if you're here today and you're one of our guests and you'd like to take home one of these rocks would you just why every everybody's head is bowed and everybody's eyes closed would you just raise your hand right now that'll signify that'll signify that'll signify there it is there it is there it is sis there you go sis there you go sis there you go the name of the Lord Jesus there you go there you go there you go there you go my brother there you go my brother there you go my brother there you go my brother it's signified by the lifting of your hand I'd like to have one of those stones to take home with me me today I'd like to have one of those stones to take home with me today thank you God pray church right now singers if you'd like to just sing for a moment in the name of the Lord Jesus with God there's nothing final with God there's nothing final with God there's nothing final today with God there's nothing final today with God there's nothing final today thank you Lord with God there's nothing have you like to have one of these Stones we're praying heads are bowed eyes are closed trying to create as much prophecy as I can with you today but if you need a stone moved out of your life and you want to take something home to remind you just lift up your hand right now the name of the Lord Jesus the name of the Lord Jesus the name of the Lord Jesus oh God In The Name Of The Lord Jesus Jesus in the name of the Lord Jesus there's a there's a hand right back through there my brothers there's a hand right back through there that's it that's it there's a hand right there thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord come on Church let's offer up a prayer right now I believe God's removing
