Would you stand with me? 2 Coronicles chapter 20 verse number 27. 2 Chronicles 20 and verse number 27. Then they returned every man of Judah and Jerusalem and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them to go again to Jerusalem with joy. For the Lord had made them to rejoice over their enemies. And they came to Jerusalem with sulties and harps and trumpets unto the house of the Lord. And the fear of God was upon all the kingdoms of those countries when they had heard that the Lord fought against the enemies of Israel. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet for his God gave him rest round about. As our custom is, let's bow our heads and thank God for the word today. Father, I thank you for your word that's a light to our feet. I thank you, Lord, for your word that illuminates our mind. I thank you for the word that helps us to make the right decisions in life. Lord Jesus, would you anoint me for the next few moments that I may speak the word of life that there would be a creative work done in this house today? Lord, you are a healer of our minds. You are a healer of our natural bodies. You are a healer in all ways, Lord. Lord, touch me today in Jesus mighty name we all pray. And everybody said, "Amen." >> Amen. >> You may be seated. I want to preach just for a few moments on our secret recipe for victory. >> All right. Our I know what just came on the screen. Our secret recipe for victory. How many's got the victory? >> How many wants the victory? Amen. >> Can I tell you it's God's will today? Not maybe, not if, but it is God's will for every person to have the victory over all of the works of our enemy. >> A victory. I looked up and Kentucky Fried Chicken, their original recipe, the 11 herbs and spices, do you realize is a closely guarded trade secret, call it the secret recipe. They advertise our secret recipe. The company Kevc, the company keeps the original handwritten formula in a highse security vault in Louisville, Kentucky, their headquarters. As a matter of fact, when they order when they order, Brother Wagner, when they order the spices, they don't order all the spices from one company. They order it from several different companies at several different times in order for someone not to find out what their secret recipe is. A reporter in 2016 reported that he had been given a handwritten a handwritten by Colonel Sanders second wife, a handwritten recipe of the list of everything. But it was proven not to be so. And I could go down through what she handed or what he handed, but yet it wasn't. So, it was not the original recipe. Kentucky Fried Chicken sales in 2025, this is hard to believe that the Kentucky Fried Chicken sales in 2025 was 4.7 billion dollars in sales that they did. They were topped only by a Godhonoring chicken place called Chick-fil-A, who doesn't open on Sunday. Amen. Do you remember when the liberal group was going to shut Chick-fil-A down? They were going to protest and they were going to surround the Chick-fil-Ass in America and and shut them down for a day. But you can't do anything against people that honor God. >> Chick-fil-A would later report that they had their largest sales of sandwiches and chicken on that day when they tried to stop. Well, you know that I didn't come to you to talk about chicken today. I told someone I've ate so much chicken in my lifetime that I almost want to say I'm a full gospel preacher, you know, and I am quickly working on becoming the arched bishop. All right, but I didn't come to preach to you about chicken today, but I did come to preach to you about a recipe. >> A recipe that I believe that God wants us all to walk in, and that is a recipe of victory. >> All right, it's a recipe of victory. Now let's just get a few things down. Pat, we got to establish some few things about this. These are some things that we need to know. This is what we need to know in the spiritual kitchen to prepare prepare for victory. And that is listen closely now. We all have an enemy. He would like to cause you to think you don't have an enemy because that's one of his tricks is for you to think you don't have an enemy. We all have an enemy. And that enemy is the same one. His name, he goes by many different names. He goes by deceiver. He goes by the serpent. He goes by the adversary. He goes by the liar. He goes by the devil. He goes by Satan. It goes by a lot of different titles. But you you got to realize today you have someone who is scheming against you, plotting against you. He is scheming and plotting against you. And I'm going to tell you something. It ought to really cause a little stir in you. How dare him to scheme against me? >> How dare him? You got to understand you. You are important. you you you he wants you to think he wants you to get your mind on the 8 point something billion people in the world today and he wants you to begin to think that you're really not that important and and but but that's what he wants to get YOU TO THINK YOU are important you are important and he's scheming sister Nicole he's scheming against you as a mother but how dare him he not only schemes schemes against me to get me to fall. He schemes, honey, against our marriage of 42 years. He's still scheming against our marriage. Oh, how he would like to scheme and cause our marriage to fall. But but that low life enemy, he not only schemes. COME ON, JUST I s I hear some rumbling going on in the crowd here this morning. >> You know he's scheming against your children. Oh yeah, I know. He's he's scheming against my teenage boy. Oh no, no, no, no. Oh yes, but no. You see these little babies we dedicated today, that low life has already be to scheme to get control of THEIR MINDS. HE'S ALREADY HE'S ALREADY HE'S already scheming. And let me repeat somebody today and let me tell the adversary if he's listening, and he probably is listening. Satan, devil, liar, deceiver, serpent. If you want a war with me, THEN A WAR IS WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO GET. >> BECAUSE I'M GOING TO WORK ON A SECRET RE I GOT A SECRET recipe for victory today. >> So, are we all established? We all have an enemy. You believe you have an enemy? Say, "Amen." >> Amen. >> We all have an enemy. 1 Peter 5'8 says this, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walking about seeking whom he may devour, whom whom resists, steadfast in the faith, HE SAYS, YOU GOT AN ADVERSARY." That word adversary there in the Greek means an opponent. Means he he is an opponent. That's what he is. And the terminology is the terminology is he is the prosecuting attorney at court. If you look at this in the Greek, it'll bring that up that he is the prosecuting attorney in court. But how many know today that a prosecuting attorney needs one thing to convict you? Evidence. He needs evidence to convict you. But you know if you go into court that you've got a defense. You got an attorney that is your defense attorney. All right? And uh I got news for you. The Bible says that God is our defense. >> God is our defense. Do do you realize that when our adversary produces the evidence of our sins and our shortcomings that our defense attorney does away with the evidence? And so when the when the prosecuting ATTORNEY, SATAN, TRIES TO FIND me guilty, he goes to look for his evidence, but the evidence HAS BEEN COVERED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST. NOW, let me let me give you an example of this. Let me give you an example of this. They're in the garden. They're praying. The guards come to to arrest Jesus. Peter reaches and gets a sword and he commits a crime. He commits a crime. A crime that Rome, he he could have been charged in Rome with this crime. He assaults a high priest. He takes a sword out. And and there was one of the servants of the high priest, Malcus, that was there. He takes a sword and he cuts off the ear. Now, he didn't he wasn't that good of a swordsman. He was a fisherman. He wanted to hit him right between the eyes, but he missed and got over to the ear. And I mean, he cut the man's ear plum off. All right. Now, there's the evidence. I mean, that defense, that prosecuting attorney would have Malcus as his chief example in court. Here you are, your honor. Uh, this fisherman over here, he cut this man's ear off. And there, that man would stand with probably a bandage over the ear and the missing ear. All right. And the judge would say, "Man, that's the evidence." But Jesus looked down and Jesus did away with the evidence because he reached down and got the ear, put it on back of the side of the man's head, it grafted it back in and you can go to court and say, "Your honor, he cut my ear off." He did. Well, come up here to the bench for a minute. There's no evidence that he cut your hair off. You look like you got two fine ears. Uh, one on both sides of your head. It's all right. Can I tell you today in that simple illustration, stop beating yourself up over evidence that you keep alive in your mind. JESUS CHRIST our God has taken that evidence. He has he has he has taken that evidence. Now we got boss se we got ball season coming in and and one of the things I like and one of the things I hate it's sweet and sour. One of the things I like, one of the things I hate is how they can review a call. It's like this game ain't never going to end cuz they'll throw that yellow handkerchief, whatever they do, and they're going to review it. And the guy in the striped shirt walks out. He says, "The call on the field is under review and you have to wait." And that guy gets, you see the guy, he gets there and he they got a little monitor and he'll pull a little sheet over his head and he'll he'll look at he'll look at it real close and then he'll come out and then he'll say the ruling on the field stands. Or he'll say the the the ruling on the field, it's overturned, first down, whatever. Okay? He'll change the ruling that that was on the field. can't help but think there's times in our lives where truly we were wrong. >> Truly we sin. Truly when the when when when the adversary called it when the adversary said incomplete pass or the adversary called it blocking or whatever and we it was true. We did we did everything that the adversary said we did. But there's a great God that says I want to review that. I I I'd like to review that. And our great savior gets up under there and he comes back out and he says UPON FURTHER REVIEW, I FIND no evidence that they've done this. It is under the blood. You will never learn how to live in victory if YOU DON'T BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US THE VICTORY. NOW, we need to be prepared, especially especially our new family members. Especially the new people that get baptized here on a regular basis. Our new family members. Our new family members that have come and went under the water in Jesus' name and had all their sins washed away. Our new family members that have come to these altars and received the gift of the Holy Ghost and spoke in a HEAVENLY LANGUAGE. OUR NEW family members, our babes, we call them BABES IN CHRIST. OUR NEW FAMILY MEMBERS, we need to let them know something. That adversary is not going to wait for you to get a year behind you. That adversary is not going to wait for you to get some Bible knowledge in you. Do you all realize that our adversary is going to attack our new babies in the church as soon as they come out of the water? And as soon as they get in their car, the adversary is there to attack them. But what about it, big brothers and sisters? Aren't we ready to pray a prayer? Aren't we ready TO PRAY A PRAYER over our our our our new family? Oh, I want to tell anybody THAT HAS BEEN BAPTIZED IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS AND RECEIVED the Holy Ghost in this assembly that there's nothing wrong with you when things that used to go your way are not going your way anymore. Why? because you switched sides. The enemy didn't bother you as long as he had you on a slow trip to hell. He didn't bother you because he had you ON YOUR ROAD TO HELL. BUT WHEN YOU CAME TO CHURCH AND GAVE YOUR LIFE OVER TO GOD, WHEN YOU SWITCHED AND YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE OVER TO GOD, YOU REPENTED OF YOUR SINS, YOU WERE BAPTIZED IN JESUS' NAME, AND YOU WERE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST. THE ENEMY BEGIN TO SAY, "I GOT TO GET AFTER THEM. I GOT TO GET ON THIS. I' I've heard I've heard I I've I've I've heard I've heard new baby Christians say this, "Man, I didn't have it this bad when I was in the world." And they're right. They've got a little bit of truth to that because they've got an enemy now that has come out. So, you got to understand that you have an enemy. I read to you today. I read to you today from a text in 2 Coronicles 20 about a battle that happened. This king named Jehoshaphat 2 Chronicles 20 and verse number five. This king called Jehoshaphat who was ruling over Israel, God's people, living in Jerusalem, God's city. and he gets word that three large tribes enemies of Israel is currently on their way currently on their way to destroy Jerusalem to run all of the Israelites out of the Holy Land. And so I want to tell you just a few little points here. This is 2 Coronicles chapter 20 and verse number five because you got to be prepared. How many want to be prepared? How many wants that secret recipe? A secret recipe. Here it is. Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the Lord before the new court and said, "Oh Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven, and rulest thou not over the kingdoms of the heathen, and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? Art not thou our God, who did drive out the inhabitants of the land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the to to the seed of Abraham, thy friend forever? and they dwell therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying, If, when evil cometh upon us as a sword, judgment, pestilence, famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, for thy name is in this house, and cry unto thee in our affliction. Then wilt thou hear and help. And now behold the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they have turned from them, but that they turned from them, and destroyed them not. Behold, I say, how they reward us to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given US TO INHERIT, OH OUR GOD, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us, neither know we what to do. You ready for a secret recipe? But our eyes >> are upon thee. And all Judah stood before the Lord with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Two things I want to mention about the reading. Number one. Number one, Jehoshaphat isn't reminding God about what God said and what God did. God doesn't need to be reminded. >> God never forgets. The only thing God forgets is our sin. All right? >> But God remembers his promises. So when Jehoshaphat goes through that long list, art thou not God? Did thou not give us the land? Did not did you not put your name here? Did you not give us this to inherit? Jehoshaphat isn't saying, God, don't you remember? Jehoshaphat is reminding himself of the promises of God. It's easy to sing about the promises of God when you don't have any problems. But it's most difficult when you begin to face adversities and your enemy. But it is then that we need to remind ourselves. He said, "I will never leave you nor ever forsake you. I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF the world." Amen. It is WHEN WE'RE SICK IN BODY THAT WE NEED TO REMIND OURSSELF, I AM THE LORD GOD THAT HEALETH THEE. WHEN WE ARE SURROUNDED BY OUR ENEMY, WE NEED TO REMIND OURSEL IF GOD BE BEFORE US, WHO can be AGAINST US? IF GOD BE IT'S IT'S THEM. It's then the second thing I want to tell you is the secret recipe is this. We worry when we get our eyes on our enemy, >> but we worship when we get our eyes on our God. >> You can't look at your worry and your God at the same time. You're either focused on your enemy, how big, how bad he is. It's amazing. I don't believe David measured anything about Goliath. I don't believe he told. They tell how tall he is. They tell the weight of his spearhead. They tell how he was dressed in all this armor. They tell about all this. But David called him exactly what he was. He was an uncircumcised. You do not have a COVENANT WITH THE GOD OF ISRAEL. HE CALLED him he didn't he didn't EVEN CALL HIM A GIANT. >> He didn't even call him by his name. His name is even bad. >> Go lith. That's cuz when he got a hold of you, THAT'S WHAT YOU DID. YOU GO LITH SOMEWHERE. All right. But David said, "I don't care how much I don't care how much pounds your your spearhead weighs. I don't care how much pound your body armor weighs. I don't care how big and bad you are. And I don't care if they CALL YOU A CHAMPION. YOU ARE EXACTLY what I see you as, an uncircumcised Philistine that I will bring you down on this day." HEY, CHURCH FAMILY, WHY DON'T WE SETTLE IT TODAY? LET'S STOP LOOKING AT OUR PROBLEMS. LET'S STOP LOOKING AT OUR SITUATIONS AND DI SOME OF US HAVE SELF DIAGNOSED OURSEL. I'M HOPELESS. THIS IS HOPELESS. I'LL NEVER GET OUT OF THIS. THIS IS NOT GOING MY WAY. AND START LOOKING AT GOD AND SAYING IF I BE FOR YOU, NOBODY COULD EVER BE A I CHOOSE TO LOOK AT MY GOD. >> OH, WILL SOMEBODY HELP ME PREACH THAT? I SAID I CHOOSE TO LOOK AT MY GOD. You can't look at your worry and your God at the same time. Matter of fact, I believe God's got a sense of humor. I believe God likes to strut his stuff. I I I believe God I believe God like some of these guys down at the at the bodybuilding place like to get in front of that mirror and I've been there. I was walking on treadmill, but I've been there. I watched him get over there and I mean, man, I watched one guy's tattoo of the Statue of Liberty turn into a missile, you know. Man, that's pretty it's pretty neat. I think God likes to shred his stuff sometime. How you know that the Bible says, "Thou God preparest a table for me in the presence of MY ENEMY." >> RIGHT IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMY. WHEN THE ENEMY IS trying to get at ME AND DESTROY ME, GOD PUTS A WHITE table cloth out. God puts SOME FANCY CHINA OUT. GOD PUTS SOME LOBSTER TAIL OUT. GOD PUTS SOME CRAB LEGS WITH HOT DRONE BUTTER OUT. GOD PUTS A CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE OUT. AND GOD SAYS, "COME ON, KENNY. SIT DOWN RIGHT HERE AND WHY DON'T YOU EAT AND GOD JUST STANDS THERE AND THAT'S WHAT KIND OF GOD I SERVE TODAY. I SERVE A GOD THAT CAN PREPARE A TABLE FOR ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMY. I'm watch this because I want to get in the altar real quick. All right. You want some here? You got to put this in. You got to put this in the the secret recipe. Expect God to answer. >> You hear me? Expect God to answer. Pray like you feel like God is hearing >> cuz he does. Walk away from a prayer meeting in the spirit of expectation that God is going to speak >> because he is. >> Listen to this. They he said, "Hey, God, I'm reminding myself of the promises and and here's what's happening, God. They're coming out against us and and and and we have we have no might against them. And our defense our defense, huh, our defense is our eyes >> or on you?" expect God to answer verse 15 of the same chapter and he said God gave God spoke through a priest and he said hearken ye all Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem and thou king Jehoshaphat now this is God speaking although he's speaking through a man he's speaking and thou KING JEHOSHAPHAT THUS SAYITH THE LORD UNTO YOU BE NOT AFRAID NOR DISMAYED by reason of this great multitude for the battle is not yours But God's, >> they're not picking on you. YOU YOU GOT TO UNDERSTAND SOMETHING. THIS BATTLE YOU'RE IN IS NOT ABOUT YOU. YOU'RE JUST YOU'RE JUST CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE. >> All right. THIS BATTLE IS BETWEEN GOD AND Satan >> because Satan wanted to be like GOD AND GOD CAST HIM OUT OF HEAVEN. HE IS ETERNALLY DOOMED TO DAMNATION. But God creates us in HIS IMAGE AND PUTS US IN BETWEEN HIM AND SATAN. SO THE BATTLE IS NOT AGAINST YOU. IT'S NOT IT'S ALL IT'S ALL ABOUT ME. NO, NO, NO. IT'S ABOUT GOD because Satan has got to get to you TO GET TO GOD. He wants to somehow he wants TO SOMEHOW GET TO GOD. BUT YOU got to understand when God when Satan messes with you, he's messing WITH GOD. STOP ASKING, STOP ACTING LIKE it's it's it's it's doom. He's messing with you, >> WHICH IS THE APPLE OF HIS EYE. HE LOVES YOU, HEATHER CONDRE. HE LOVES YOU, HEATHER CONDRE. AND WHEN THE ADVERSARY TRIES TO MESS WITH YOU, HE'S ACTUALLY MESSING WITH GOD. >> PLEASE, this is no slam on anybody that lives in a mobile home. I just think that the t-shirt fits. But a person said that they saw he said, "I saw this t-shirt up in Gatlinburg that read like this." Mess with me >> and you take on the whole trailer park. >> CAN I TELL YOU, DEVIL? YOU MESS WITH ME, I MAY NOT SEE GOD'S ANGELS, BUT THEY'RE HERE. >> I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO SEE GOD AT WORK, >> BUT MY GOD IS AT WORK. >> THAT'S RIGHT. YOU MESS WITH ME AND YOU'RE TAKING ON ALL OF HEAVEN IF YOU MESS with me. COME ON, GIVE HIM SOME PRAISE THIS MORNING. The battle's not yours. SAID THE BATTLE'S NOT YOURS. Look at verse 17. Verse 16. Verse 16. God tells them. GOD TELLS THEM WHERE TO GO OUT TO. God says, "Tomorrow, go ye down against them, enemy. Behold, they come up by the cliff Z, and you shall find them at the end of the brook before the wilderness of Jeru. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves, stand you still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, oh Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not, BE NOT DISMAYED. TOMORROW GO OUT AGAINST them for the Lord will be with you. >> Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground and all of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord worshiping the Lord. That's what we ought to do >> when we get the answer from God. We need to give God worship. >> The deep kind of worship THAT SAYS YOU'RE GOD AND YOU'RE GOD ALONE. THERE'S NO GOD LIKE YOU. Never has been and never will be. There's none like our eternal God. He's omnipotent. He's all knowing. He's all present. He's all mighty. He can split red seas. HE CAN DRAW PEOPLE OUT. HE CAN HE can take you through THE RED SEA. HE CAN SHUT THE MOUTHS OF THE LIONS. HE CAN QUENCH THE VIOLENCE OF THE FIRE. HE CAN RAIN DOWN MEN FROM HEAVEN. HE CAN WALK ON THE WATER. HE CAN TELL THE WIND TO BE. >> He said, "Go out against them." He said, "Go out against them. I'll tell you exactly where they're going to be. Go out against them. Don't need to fight because I'm going with you." Everybody say, "I'm going with you." >> I'm going with you. >> I'm going with you. All right. I'm going with you. God gives an answer. Worship. >> I'm going with you. And the Bible says in verse 20, oh, I'm trying to get there at 11:30. 2 Chronicles 20:20, they rose early in the morning and went forth into the wilderness of Teel. And as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Here, O Judah, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, believe in the Lord. Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established. believe his prophets and so shall you prosper. Now, that's an interesting read right here because we don't have God speaking this. We don't have God saying anything about this. We just have their leader, Brother Hunley. We just have their leader. >> No, God's not speaking. It's just Jos out on his own. God's going to be with us. The battle is not mine, but the battle belongs to God. He's going to fight for us. >> He's told us that he's going to go with us. That means God's presence is going with us. God's presence. And I might I might like Josh that God's presence is going to go with us. Well, I think if God's presence goes with us, there needs to be some worship and there needs to be some praise >> because God's presence isn't isn't is with us. God's presence with us. So, if God's going to go with me and God's going to go with us, First Apostolic Church, if if God's going to go with us, then there ought to be some worship and there OUGHT TO BE SOME PRAISE. And somebody comes up and says, "Well, Jehoshaphat, you you don't understand. We're about to be attacked by three different groups of people. THIS IS WAR. WE'RE ABOUT TO BE WE'RE we're we're about to go in we're we're about to go into battle. IT'S REALLY NOT A TIME to worship and praise the Lord." Let me CORRECT YOU. IT IS ALWAYS IN TIME TO WORSHIP AND TO PRAISE THE LORD. IT IS always And so listen to me now. Listen listen to me now. I I I got about four minutes. Listen to me real quick. Listen listen to this. Jehoshaphat says, "Believe in God and be established. >> Believe his prophets and prosper." Believing in God is our foundation. >> Believing that God speaks through men is how we prosper. It's how we get it's how we get directed. The word of God preached through men is is how God So the reason he said this, he said, "If you'll believe in God, you'll be established. But if you'll believe his prophets, you'll prosper." Why did he say that? Because he's about to introduce something that won't make any sense unless you're willing to be built on God and you're willing to listen to what God has to say. Because he's about to say, "Would somebody get a tambourine? Will somebody get a sultry? Will somebody GET A GUITAR? WILL SOMEBODY GET SOME DRUMS? Will somebody get the choir symbol? And that's what they're about to hear because he's about to tell them, we're going to go meet the enemy and we're going to start praising and we're going to START WORSHIPING GOD. I'M TALKING ABOUT THE SECRET RECIPE. WE'RE GOING H HOW DID YOU GET THROUGH THAT STORM? I WORSHIPED MY WAY THROUGH THAT STORM. HOW DID YOU GET THROUGH THAT TRIAL, BROTHER CARPENTER? WE WORSHIPED OUR WAY THROUGH THAT TRIAL. COME ON, FIRST APOSTOLIC CHURCH. WHEN ALL HELL CAME AGAINST US, HOW DID WE MAKE IT? WE WORSHIPED OUR WAY THROUGH. WE PRAISED OUR WAY THROUGH. GLORY. MA MOAB AND AMMON BEGIN TO FIGHT MOUNT SEIR AND THEY destroyed Mount Seir. And when Moab AND AMMON DIMINISH THEM, GRIEVE GOD IN BOTH OF THEIR HEARTS AND THEY SAID, "WHY SHOULD WE PART? WHY SHOULD WE SHARE it two ways?" AND SO THEY BEGIN TO FIGHT EACH OTHER. GOD'S PEOPLE ARE WORSHIPING. GOD'S PEOPLE ARE PRAISING. That's where the prayer meeting started. But when they got to victory, guess what they did? They came right back to the place TO WHERE THEY BEGIN TO pray and they begin to dance and they begin to rejoice because God, that's the that's the special ingredient right now.
