said i know what the american flag means stands for our country but what's that other flag stand for and he said well son that stan that flag over there stands for all the men and women who died in the service and of course he was meaning the armed services and the little boy said papa which service was it in the morning service or the evening service i don't want nobody to die in the service birthday on on wednesday and uh i don't have the vocabulary to articulate how my heart feels about all of the expressions of love that have been given to pastor uh from from wednesday uh to this morning what a what a surprise that was this morning and uh we stood from about 8 30 to almost 10 o'clock shaking hands in the coffee shop and and having pictures made and people came by and then got ready to end that and my daughter if i understood her correctly she said dad you got two more of these to go two more of these to go and uh so um meet with another group i think at 4 30 today and then i think another group after service tonight and so i ought to be about 61 when this thing gets over with and so i thank you i truly do i say i say thank you i say thank you today for all of your of your kindness isn't it good to be in a place where you feel like you're loved is it good to feel like you're loved and like you're like you're wanted and i certainly i certainly feel i certainly feel that that way if your bibles and would stand with me this morning i want to invite your attention to the book of romans chapter number 3 and verse number 23 before we read let's just worship the lord for a moment just to gather our minds back in on jesus praise god lord i love you oh thank you lord oh praise god thank you jesus come on this is let's just worship god right now la santa lebo yeah oh thank you lord jesus glory to god glory to god glory to god hallelujah come on let's just praise him and gather our minds in what he wants to do for us today oh what he wants to do for us right now jesus i'm believing you're going to do something in this service today god i believe you're going to touch hearts god you've drawn people here oh god i love you lord i thank you i thank you thank you romans chapter 3 and verse number 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of god being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in christ jesus whom god has set forth to be a propitiation that we're there propitiation means a covering it's what it means it means a covering or it means the mercy seat god has set him forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood through faith in his blood i want to preach teach for a few moments this sunday morning and hopefully conclude with the move of god in the altar because there are certain subjects that if we connect with that subject there will be without fail a move of god and the blood is one of those subjects the blood is one of those subjects father i ask you today lord to anoint my lips of clay god i stand here today as your man called for this hour in this congregation i stand here today god and i've asked you to use me as a vessel lord there's a lot of trouble in this world there's a lot of trouble in our united states of america right now father i ask you today to let the voice of the church and of the spirit be clear this morning god help us lord on the solid rock we stand all other ground is sinking sand help us today god in jesus name we all pray amen and amen you may be seated through faith in his blood through faith in his blood jesus christ the one that we spent the better part of 25 minutes jesus christ is the one the man christ jesus becomes our covering became our mercy seat through his blood through his blood his blood became our propitiation it became what covered us it became our mercy seat but not just in past tense do i teach this today but i say that it is through faith through faith his blood became that propitiation through faith and we understand something about faith today is faith must remain constant faith is not a one-time experience students faith is not something that you did a few years ago but faith is a 24 7 seven days a week faith is something that you constantly keep placing your faith you keep your faith focused and in this day in which we live part of our success will be maintaining the focus of our faith we've got to maintain the focus there's a lot of distractions that's in our world today there's a lot of distractions it's all around us but the success of our faith is that we keep our faith focused now you say well i don't want to lose my faith i don't believe any of us ever lose our faith i believe that we just simply place our faith on things that do not produce life now we don't lose our faith jesus did tell peter i'm praying for you that your faith fail not but the connotation is not that he would not have faith but that satan shaking him would cause him to move his faith from god to the circumstance and so we understand that not only is jesus christ our propitiation not only is he our covering but it takes the faith that we have in his blood i submit to you today that our speech betrays us because there was a generation before us that used to say a term such as this and we seldom hear it today i plead the blood i plead the blood you very seldom hear our generation today and shame to my own confession it seldom comes out of my mouth but they understood something about the blood they understood that without the blood it didn't matter how many tears you cried at repentance it was just emotion without the blood they understood that it didn't matter how wet you got at baptism they understood if it wasn't for the blood baptism had no power at all they understood that the holy ghost talking in tongues was wonderful but they understood that where it all came from it all came from faith in his blood so today we have a responsibility in this congregation we have a responsibility to keep our faith focused on the blood of jesus christ we must understand something about the blood the blood is spoken in scripture of past tense present tense and future tense the blood is spoken of to the church it's something that is past tense something that is future tense and something that is present we understand about the blood referring to the past tense of the blood the apostle peter in first peter 1 18 says for as much as ye know everybody say as you know for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things the word redeemed there means to buy from one owner to another it's really what it means it means to purchase from one owner and to purchase to another owner one owner pays the price and now the other owns it it was a common phrase on the slave market they would talk about that i have redeemed this individual and it simply meant they were held by one owner but another owner paid the price i understand this morning that we are all born in sin that's what the apostle meant when he said all have sinned and come short of the glory of god we all were the property of satan at our birth but praise be to god we have been redeemed but it was not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers he's talking about temple worship and how that they were accounted for by the half shekel of the tabernacle silver and gold had a lot to do with the old testament but peter comes and says i want you to know that you have been redeemed but it has not been with silver and gold from a vain profitless form of religion that was handed down to you from your fathers but with the precious blood of christ as a lamb slain without blemish and without spot he talks about our past and he said i don't ever want you to forget what redeemed you i don't want you to forget what purchased you i don't want you to forget what caused you to come out of darkness into marvelous light it was the precious not just blood not just blood but the precious blood of christ the precious oh the more rare something is the more of value it is but can i tell you that there never has been neither will there ever be any blood like the blood that was in the body of the lord jesus christ there has never hallelujah there has never been that precious blood but the old apostle john spoke of a different time peter spoke of the past but the apostle john in 1st john chapter 1 verse number 7 the old apostle john spoke of the future for the old apostle john said but if we walk in the light now he's not talking what peter talked peter talked about we were redeemed from one master to the other by the precious blood but john wrote and said but if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of his son cleanseth us from all sin i want to thank god today that i not only have my past tense of the blood of jesus some 40 years ago but i want to thank my god today that i'm still walking in the present and the future tense because he said if we walk in the light and we want to walk in the light we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and then we get another benefit and the blood and the blood cleanseth us i'm thankful today that i understand that the word be ye perfect does not refer to be flawless because a lot of people have shut their bibles and walked out of church and given up on a life because they thought they were supposed to live a flawless life but i've come to tell you today that there's none of us going to live a flawless life until we're changed in a moment and in the twinkling of an eye and when i'm changed to be like him but until that time if i walk in the light as he is in the light i have fellowship with him and i'm in a perpetual cleaning process should you worship the lord with me today hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah oh hallelujah oh i feel that i feel that anointing coming on don't you because there's something about the blood that causes the presence of the lord to want to draw closer to us and and i i read from i'm going to read from hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 11 simply says but christ become a high priest of good things to come by greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of this building you see we got to understand the analogy the old testament had a tabernacle where god dwelled the new testament had a tabernacle where god dwelled in the old in the old testament the tabernacle was what the people brought as an offering and what moses and aaron erected and there in the holiest of holies the god that created all things dwelt in that back room above the mercy seat isn't it amazing if the blood is our propitiation and propitiation means covering our mercy seat do you realize that god's favorite seat in the tabernacle was not on the killing of the altar or the washing of the labor or the light of revelation god's favorite seed in the tabernacle was where the blood was amen god's favorite seat was that seat of the covering and we understand in the old testament they had a tabernacle where god dwelt in the new testament they had a tabernacle where god dwelt but it was not herod's temple nor solomon's temple the bible says in john 1 14 and the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory of the only forgot begotten of the father full of grace and truth the old testament tabernacle was filled with the glory of god that the priests could not enter in to and minister but the new testament tabernacle which is jesus christ was full of glory and no man had ever seen god at any time but the only begotten of the father he hath declared him so we understand something of what paul is saying paul is saying in romans excuse me hebrews 9 and 11 but christ become a high priest of of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands that is to say not of his building paul is saying to those people there get your mind off of herod's temple get your mind off of solomon's temple because this is a greater tabernacle and i'll explain that in verse 12 neither by a hebrews 9 and 12 neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us for if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean sanctify to the purifying of the flesh paul for a moment in verse 13 says if god so honored that the death of a goat or the death of a calf or the death of a bull that the blood of the animal that god so honored that if they would sprinkle ashes and sprinkle blood that god so honored that that he alone who has power to forgive sins would come down and recognize that he says if god would honor the blood of bulls and calves and ashes that they would receive a temporary yearly cleansing he says in verse 14 how much more shall the blood of christ who through the eternal spirit offer himself without spot to god purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living god listen to what paul is saying here he said if god so honored the old testament to where the blood of bulls and goats and the sprinkling of the ashes of the heifer brought a 365-year release of sin he then says how much more shall the blood of christ i don't know about you but i'm not living in the old testament i'm living under the fountain where the how much more comes out praise god i'm glad for the blood today because the blood is the people of the hell much more now there's an interesting word that is used it's called conscience he says that the blood of christ purges our conscience to purge something means to cleanse it to purge the conscience means to cleanse it now go with me to the next chapter chapter number 10 verse number one for the law having a shadow of good things to come and not the very image of the things can never with those sacrifices they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect so he says all the law year after year decade after decade never perfected israel it never brought maturity to israel verse two for then would they not have ceased to be offered he said if that would have brought perfection it would have it would have continued it would have never ceased to be offered because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins no more conscience of sins now i want you to understand something today people the reason we need a bible lesson this morning on the blood is because we are not fully understanding and receiving from god the full covering of what the blood does because the blood has the ability to purge the conscience that conscience that can cause you shame that conscience that can cause you condemnation that conscience that wants to chain you to your past and the sins of your past i'm not saying that i don't have the memory of some of the things i did outside of the blood but i am saying today with full assurance because of the blood i don't have a bad conscience over it because the blood is able to purge the conscience i submit to you today in this audience and those that are watching online that if you're struggling to get free from your sin and you seem never to have been forgiven that maybe what you need to stop worrying about is an emotional chill bump or some kind of prophetic word given to you but maybe you need to place your faith in the blood you need to understand that there's nothing you can do to cover your sins but if we can believe in the finished work of jesus christ we can have the propitiation we can have the covering for our sin it's not by works lest any man should boast you're not going to do enough good deeds to have a good conscience you're not going to stay away from enough bad thoughts to have a good conscience the only way your conscience will be healed is by the blood of jesus christ that's why you'll never become self-righteous that's why you'll never become a hypocrite because you know it's not by works lest any man would boast but you'll know it's because of the blood should we worship god today the blood the blood the blood come on praise him right now the blood the blood the blood you can lay on a couch with a psychiatrist but he can't help you like the blood can you can belly up at happy hour but that can't help you like the blood can you can shoot up you can go and educate up you can do all you want to clean up but it'll never help you like the blood can oh precious blood verse 3 but in those sacrifices there is there is a remembrance again made of sins every year for it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins our fl our faith our faith plays such an important role in the blood is the blood powerful absolutely but faith is too faith is to the blood what an open flame is to gasoline the blood is powerful but it must connect with faith it's amazing thing in hebrews chapter 11 verse number 28 simply says these words hebrews 11 28 through faith moses kept the passover and the sprinkling of blood lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them they didn't understand all they knew was that god of miracles had told them to take a lamb slay the lamb take the blood and smear it on the doorpost because the death angel is going to pass over and the death angel has already said when i see the blood when i see the blood i will pass over you can i tell you how moses went out there and took that lamb he took it by faith not understanding he took it by faith when moses slew that lamb emptied that blood into basin bowls took a brush and walked up to the door facing of his house took the blood and smeared it on the doorpost to my chair you didn't fully understand it but he did it by faith he did it by faith i submit to you we do a lot of things we don't understand we take medicine we can't even pronounce the ingredients in the medicine we go talk to people that we seldom see we only see them when we're sick we go to talk to people we seldom see called doctors they prescribe to us medicine that we we don't understand but we'll go to a pharmacist that's another person we seldom see we'll get that pill and we'll read those directions take twice a day take on a full stomach we'll take we'll read all that and we'll follow it to t you know why we believe we believe that it's going to make us better can i tell you today that the blood shed 2 000 years ago has never been any like it shed since nor before and that if i can learn to focus my faith on the blood it's the blood that when i focus my faith on the blood it's got to have faith it can't be well i got baptized it's got to be the blood i'm glad we got baptized and i'm glad we got baptized in the name of the lord but we will struggle with our life if we fail to understand the importance of the blood that's why i asked him to sing about the blood this morning because the blood will never lose its power might be 2 000 years old but the blood is just as powerful right now today as it was when it rolled down his side because there's life in the blood there's life in the blood and when i see the blood it's amazing although the bible does not record this in detail we know that it happened sin reared its ugly head in the garden and genesis 3 21 took place and unto adam also and to his wife did the lord god make coats of skins include them god slew an innocent animal blood was shed from an innocent animal and a covering was made for a guilty man i want you to chew on that for a moment blood was shed from an innocent animal to produce a covering for a guilty man jesus christ that innocent blood was shed for guilty men and women such as you and i oh praise god we understand in genesis 4 and 10. you see when you read the bible we know a lot more about the blood today than they but what they knew about the blood was enough we know far more about the blood today than they did but what they knew and what we need to be reminded is more than enough in genesis chapter 4 and verse number 10 god talks to cain cain has just murdered his brother abel and god said what hast thou done the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground a friend this isn't an analogy this is actual blood has a voice and the voice of abel was crying from the ground because blood has a voice i wonder what earth sounds like to god with the millions of children who never saw the light of day because their lives were taken in their mother's womb i wonder what it sounds like in heaven today because the blood of unborn infants cried the blood of abel cried out i know what it cried out scripture tells me what abel's blood cried in hebrews chapter 12 verse 24 says i am to jesus the mediator of a new covenant into the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of abel the reason that we know what abel's blood cried was revenge i want revenge my brother took my life i want revenge and i hope i don't get sidetracked and not come back but you do realize that we could find the answer out to a crazy nation upside down right now that's killing one another to understand that the first murder was over worship the first anger was not over skin color the the first anger was over worship and there was an anger over worship because there were parents that were disobedient you see if i want my children to be on the right road worshiping and that's the greatest gift we could we could give to our children is obedient parents because if i can give my children obedient pair if i can give them an obedient parent they'll walk a worship road and the greatest thing you can brag about your child is not his phd it's not her degrees it's not where she works but the greatest thing you could tell about your child is that they're a worshiper of god adam and eve you decide to live disobedient lives well i'm sorry but there's consequences to your disobedience and your consequences are that you're going to cause your oldest son cain to really doubt worship and cain is going to bring god what cain decides god gets cain is going to bring god the way that cain feels like god ought to be worshiped how many people there are today that are turned off to a church like this because they simply have chain worship and they come in and they say i don't believe it takes all that well you see it's not whether i believe it or you believe it it's what god asked for and if god asks for demonstrative worship i want to be an obedient person that's what god's going to get if god asks for us to sing i'm going to sing to the top of my voice if god asks for us to clap i'm going to clap till my palms get sore if god wants prayer he's getting prayer if god wants a shout he's getting shouts if god wants a dance he's getting a dance i'm going to give god what he wants well i just don't believe you ought to do that well you can go ahead cain hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus thank you jesus adam and eve disobedient cain i'm not going to bring to god what he wants and the bible said cain went out in the field to talk with his brother abel what are they talking about they're talking about worship and then cain got angry why did cain get angry cain got angry because his brother was not agreeing with him isn't it sad today we live in a culture that we can no longer disagree with one another and remain friends isn't it amazing today that we live in an intolerant culture that we can no longer say we respectfully agree disagree the only thing that can bring our country back together the only thing there's no reform and my good brother darren we've been enjoying his presence here at church and we've been having bible study on saturday morning he was a correctional officer in california for 24 years he said something to me yesterday in our bible study that sent a chill down my spine he said brother carpenter after they get through overthrowing the police department they're coming after the church because they're coming after you you think about how how that is in the order if we have no law and isn't it even crazy isn't it even crazy that we're hearing talk i'm not saying there doesn't need to be some reform but honey they've revealed all their cards they don't want just reform they want it removed they want to come up with their own peace corps so that's crazy it's never going to happen there's a lot of things happening right now that our grandparents would have said that's crazy that'll never happen and my bible study told me said after they get through with police they're coming after the church because they're not going to allow anything to have a voice that either condemns them or challenges them so we better blend in you better stop talking like this you'll either get our church spray-painted you'll get this church burned down you keep talking like this let me tell you something if i thought for one moment that our strength comes from a local congregation or a smith and wesson pistol or a rifle i'd shut my bible go be a salesman or do something but i'm telling you i am a spokesman for the almighty god of heaven and that the angels of god encamp around those that fear him it's not time for the church to be silent it's time for us to shine as never before come on you think covet 19 is being wrapped on us you look at the possibility of not having any authority you may be seated in our land but what this world needs today when abel looked at cain and said hey brother cool down hey brother don't put don't don't blow your top man don't get all mad and frothing at the mouth hey brother calm down just worship god with me and if he would have worshiped god he would have never got angry and if he had never got angry he had never killed his brother and what we got today we've got anger in our world such as never before and if we ever need to be an example of worship it's today what all ethnic groups need is the gospel of jesus christ no wonder jesus said go into all the world and preach the gospel abel's blood said i want revenge jesus blood said i want to give mercy they were taught to respect the blood in genesis 9. they were told in genesis 9 to properly drain from the animal any blood and don't eat anything that still has the blood in it because god was trying to teach them to value the blood he comes down to chapter 9 verse number 4 but he said but flesh with the life thereof which is the blood thereof ye shall not eat for the life of the flesh is in the blood the life is in the blood surely your blood of your lives will i require at the hand of every man well i require it at the hand of man at the hand of every man's brother will i require the life of man whoso shed up man's blood by man shall his blood be shed for in the image of god made he man i don't care how mad you get at someone i don't care what thoughts you have about someone but would you please remember that all men are made in the image of god i don't care how disfigured they are i don't care how messed up they are man is made in the image of god that's why the true church of jesus christ loves all men without any prejudice about it we love all men we're not looking for the educated or the upright we're looking for all men we're not looking for those that have a perfect record at the courthouse we're looking for all men you're not you're not such you can't attend here you're breathing you belong here the devil is a liar you're breathing you belong here i don't feel like i fit in that's what hell wants you to believe but i've come today to tell you that through the blood of jesus christ you belong here i've messed up you belong here i'm trying to live for god you belong here here is where would you come they were brought out of egypt by the blood of the lamb they were brought to mount sinai where in chapter 40 it ends with the erection of the tabernacle and the shedding of blood and the glory of god filled the house the tabernacle and no man could get in it this 40th chapter is symbolic of jesus christ and the plan of salvation because the bible says that he was the word made flesh he was the word that tabernacled among us but it's interesting to note that if that if exodus 40 the last chapter in exodus ends with the erection of a tabernacle the first chapters of exodus opened with a people in bondage the last chapter ends with a people at a mountain with god tabernacled among them but it's interesting to note it's interesting to note that leviticus is the next book we see the tabernacle filled with god's glory it ends and then leviticus chapter 1 verse number 1 begins and the lord called unto moses spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation saying speak unto the children of israel say unto them if any man of you bring an offering unto the lord you shall bring your offering of the cattle even of the herd and of the flock if his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd let him offer a male without blemish he shall offer it he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation can i tell you where jesus is at today he's somewhere in this room fulfill the work but he's calling out the tabernacle if any man would come unto me if any man would come unto me if any man would come and bring his offering so i have no offering to bring i'm a sinner you are the offering i have no offering to bring i'm a backslider you are the offering you are the offering and he stands today he stands today would you come would you come to me the preachers told you about my blood would you come to me the preachers told you the only thing that can clean your conscience would you come to me by no means by no means today i was raised by good parents but there's men and women in this congregation this morning that you have scars in your life there are adults in this congregation who are sexually abused as a child so brother car don't bring that up that's ugly that said please please yeah yeah i'm going to bring it up because what's ugly is that person is living in a continual hell and torment they can't even enjoy marriage like married life they live a life of constant torment they have dreams and flashbacks they've tried all kind of medication and counseling and nothing's helped them but i come to you today with the precious blood of jesus christ notice i said the blood is past tense i'm telling you today if you would put your faith on that event and start applying the blood oh i was mistreated oh i've been doing wrong you see the determination the determining factor of whether you will live your life a victim or a victor is where do you put your faith in the blood the blood those of you that know how to pray would you help me pray right now come on those of you that know how to pray i want you to pray right now oh god help me oh god help me oh god help me right now oh god help me come on i need some prayer intercessors i i need some prayer intercessors today but because just as preaching will stir up god's presence preaching will also stir up hell and we need once and for all to apply the blood to what happened to you when you were 9 years old or 14 years old come on all over this building i need my prayer warriors if you're sitting on a pew today and you know god i want you to be praying on that pew every prayer every pew ought to have a a prayer person he rebels say oh god i love you lord i love you lord i love you lord oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god jesus would you stand with me right now congregation please i beg you to pray with me right now please i beg you to pray with me right now the blood is calling you today some of you are feeling the pull you're being pulled down to the front of this room the altar right now the blood is pulling it's drawing right now it's calling to you out of the tabernacle come on the aisles are open the altar is me for me is is is is foreign for my partner please is oh oh is is me is makes me is makes me the blood i'm going to have them sing it one more time through before i do i want you to understand that in the old testament moses was directed to sprinkle blood on the altar he was instructed to sprinkle blood on the labor of water he was instructed to sprinkle blood on the table of shoebread he was instructed to sprinkle blood on the candlesticks he was instructed to sprinkle blood on the incense altar he was instructed to sprinkle blood on the ark of the covenant and what that means there have been those that have asked me from time to time in the plan of salvation where do you think the blood is applied and my answer to that is it's applied when you repent because the blood is designed to give you a release if you really focused on the blood today you felt a release that's why the shouting goes on in the altar of repentance because there's a relief but we don't stop there we go to the water and we're baptized and the blood is in the water because the blood washes away my sins but we don't stop there the bible is called a living book that's right because it's a bloody book because the life of the flesh is in the blood and the bible's alive and revelation is alive and prayer is alive and the presence of god is alive why because of the blood now i want you to sing it through one more time and i want to ask everybody that's here to sing this song through before you go home tonight at 5 30 prayer rooms are wide open in the event center and guess what our choir is going to sing tonight
