thank God thank God come on if you're not already on your feet this morning and give God a hand clap of Praise right now for this is the day that the Lord hath made this is the day that the Lord how many is glad to me come on help me he's glad to be alive he's glad to be alive this morning but how many is glad to be spiritually alive today oh yes well I'm going to tell you a little something the first thing I thought this morning when I got up and the first thing that came out of my mouth I mean the first thing everybody say the first thing I mean before a toothbrush went in my mouth this was the first thing came out I said Lord I'm going to your house this morning to lift up your name I'm going to your house this morning to lift up your name now you gotta know about the name to know how powerful that is because anytime you lift up the name of the Lord his glory comes down you can't separate his name from his presence and I'm so thankful you know Jesus was teaching one time and evidently he really put the plow deep I mean he put it deep and it offended imagine that it offended a bunch of people and they didn't they didn't even have the decency to wait till he got finished preaching to walk out they started walking out in the middle of his sermon it got so many in the crowd that were walking out that he turned to his disciples and he said are you all going to go to you going to I say that in reference to the number of texts I've got on my phone today started about a week ago Pastor spring break's coming we're going here we're going there pastor we won't be here this Sunday spring break spring break spring break spring break I got so many texts that I just asked sister Carpenter in the car where you go to now what a time to tell that story she's not in the auditorium she's not on spring break today I promise you she's she's here but I appreciate everybody that's coming filled in the gaps for the probably 50 to 70 families that are not here at fac this morning and I I thank you somebody told me I met some guests from west Tennessee they said it's on our this is our bucket list to come to fac and I I just told her that she didn't have much of a bucket if that was her bucket list today but it's so good to see everybody in the house of the Lord turn with me your Bibles to the book of Isaiah chapter 42 verse number eight Jesus sure is good Isaiah chapter 42 and verse number 8. I am the Lord that is my name and my glory will I not give to another neither my praise to graven images for a few moments this morning for a few moments this morning I want to minister on the subject the glory the glory of this house the glory of this house join me in prayer today Father we thank you we love you we praise you Lord there's no one like you never has been and never will be there's no other God all the other gods are nothing but the figment of the of man's imagination God I just thank you today that we can worship you and your name is Jesus I thank you this morning Lord and I ask you to use me as a tool for I am going to lift up your name today Lord you said you wouldn't share your glory with no other Lord if you will anoint me today and put your presence upon my lips I will at the end of this message give you the praise and the honor for it is of you and through you and to you that I preached this morning in Jesus name we pray amen and amen give him a hand clap praise and please don't give him a golf clap don't give him no golf clap today come on put them hands together this morning the glory of this house the glory of this house you must understand today the importance and the value of the name of Jesus the importance and the value of the name of Jesus Proverbs 22 and 1 says it this way a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches and loving favor rather than silver or gold he said that a good name how many believes Jesus is a good name it's a good name it's a good name Jesus is a good name but you know when you live for Jesus he helps you to have a good name right amen and when you live for him he helps you to have a good name and uh the Bible tells us that a good name is rather to be chosen than than great riches than great riches there's a lot of people today that would give a ton of their money for a good name but money can't buy a good name you got to be connected to that name of Jesus colesiastes chapter 7 verse number 1 says it even this way a good name a good name is better than precious ointment and the day of death than the day of one's birth now that's interesting that he would mention a good name is better than precious ointment precious ointment that fills the room with a pleasant odor a precious ointment that has healing that has healing in its oil and and then he says he adds to it the day of death better than the day of one's birth and that seems like that this shouldn't even fit with this verse of scripture but when you are born you are facing things that are yet to come but when you die the race is over and when you can connect when you get the name of the Lord in your life I'm going to tell you something there's no mountain you can't climb and there's no Valley you can't get through and there's no situation in life that can hand you that the name of Jesus cannot help you it's all over when you know the name of Jesus it wasn't long after sin reared its ugly head in the Garden of Eden until in chapter 4 of Genesis verse 26 it simply records this and to saith to him also there was born a son and his name was Enos then begin men to call upon the name of the Lord I don't know what knowledge they had probably very little knowledge but somewhere the Lord left them with his name and in the midst of chaos and confusion in the midst of being expelled from the beautiful Garden of Eden somebody got together and said I'll tell you what we need to do we need to start calling out upon the name of the Lord David faced Goliath and uh it seems like the scripture wants to tell us how tall Goliath is how much is armor weighed what the reputation of Goliath was he was a champion of gath it wants to tell us all the things about this enemy of Israel called Goliath but when David faced him in first Samuel 17 45 when David faced him David simply said thou cometh to me with a sword and with the spear and with a shield but I come to you in the name of the lord of the hosts the god of the armies of Israel whom thou Hast defied in other words David said this isn't a fair fight this is not a fair fight you come to me with all your armor you come to me with your sword your spear your Shield you've even got a man running out front of you to protect you he said this isn't fair what do you mean David it's not fair for you Goliath you come to me with these puny pieces of metal you come to me with this puny muscles of yours to fight against me Goliath I just want to tell you right now this isn't a fair fight you done brought up you done brought a knife to a gunfight this isn't a fair fight because I come to you in the name of the Lord and I'm going to tell you the name of the Lord is greater than any military might that man can muster to together do you know that name this morning ah back to Proverbs 18 and verse number 10. the pro the writer of Proverbs simply said the name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and is saved it was the Tower of the city where they kept their weapon restored anytime the city would be attacked it was the tower that they ran to because the tower had their weapons there and the analogy is used the name of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous run into it and are saved and then in the Great Book of Philippians chapter 2 and verse number nine Paul writes to an Apostolic Church such as is gathered here this morning he writes to the apostolic church and he says wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in Earth and things under the Earth he said at that name the Angelic host has to bow at that name one day every knee on this Earth will bow to the mighty name of Jesus Christ and yet now every demonic power has to Bow the knee to the name of Jesus could we today exalt the name of Jesus Lord I said I'm going to your house to lift up your name this morning The Wonderful Name of Jesus now I have to kind of go forward in the Bible and then come back for just a moment but we stand on dedication day of Solomon's Temple 20 long years 20 long years Solomon had labored the day was over the last nail had been driven the curtains had been hung the Polish had been put on all the metal and Solomon and II Chronicles 7 and 4 Solomon begins to to say then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord you see you got to understand this this great name it's a great name have I have I convinced anybody today it's a great name should not a great name deserve great sacrifice if it is a great name if it is a great name it deserves a great sacrifice I'm going to tell you something this ain't no McDonald's salvation this is a great salvation the King Solomon offered a sacrifice verse 5. he offered a sacrifice of 20 and 2000 oxen and a hundred thousand sheep so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God 22 000 oxen that's a lot of oxen Folk a hundred and twenty two and I'm not stuttering thousand not 22 oxen 22 000 oxen not 120 sheep but 120 000 can you say thousand I always get a little tickle when I ask people to say repeat me because I I said one time can you say Rapture and little boy on the front row said yes and the priest waited on their offices the Levites also with the music instruments of music of the Lord which David the king had made to praise the Lord because his Mercy endured forever when David praised by their Ministry and the priest sounded trumpets before them all Israel stood and brother Erickson and I got together this week and we did a little a little research on that size of an average sheep size of an average sheep how much an average sheep would actually weigh and then how much blood would be in an average sheep if a hundred and twenty thousand sheep were slaughtered there would have been a hundred and fifty six thousand gallons of blood that would have been shed that would have been 16 semi-tankers you see go down the road it would have been 16. of these semi tankers going down the road but I'm not done there there were 22 000 there were 22 000 oxen that were sacrificed we did the research and average size of an oxen an average amount of blood and we came up with a total of 396 000 gallons of ox blood that was poured out on the ground boy I'm glad they did that before the EPA got involved right wouldn't they had a 156 000 gallons of blood of Lamb's blood 396 000 gallons of oxen blood that would have been 16 of these just for the Sheep but it would have been 40 semis of oxen blood that's 56 of these semi tankers that it would have took to have contained the blood of the animals that were shed somebody might have asked isn't this a little bit too much not for the one that we're sacrificing to isn't this just a little bit too much I've heard people in a ridiculing way say about our worship to God well I think that's a little much or you just don't understand the great name of the Lord that we're sacrificing to when you begin to think when I think about the Lord and where he's brought me from and what he's brought me out of and how he keeps my hand his hand upon my life I can't help but give him a great sacrifice a praise well that's weed our way let's weed our way through this dedication service in second Chronicles chapter 7 verse number 11 thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the King's house and all that came pay real close attention to this and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord and in his own house he prosperously affected all right now now I want you to notice something today we often use this verse in a negative way oh from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh we we use that sometime in a way like Oh Yeah from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks out of the heart perceive evil things and and we list the the line of sins that come out of the heart but do you know brothers and sisters today that from the heart can come good things as a matter of fact if our worship isn't from our heart God doesn't receive it and when it's from your heart you will overcome every obstacle because it is in your heart to serve God there are obstacles but when it's in your heart to live for God you're going to overcome those obstacles the athlete an athlete is not an athlete because he has all of this training and muscles and all that he is first an athlete because it's in his heart to be an athlete and when it is in his heart to be an athlete when a hundred thousand seat stadium is empty and it's cold and it's raining he's running up and down the steps at the stadium why because it's in his heart to be an athlete can I tell you when it's in your heart to live for God all hell can be against you but it's in your heart to live for God it's just in your heart to magnify the Lord it was in Lord I'd like to take a minute and Shout but I got a lot of scripture to read I have to choose where to read scripture shout and I think for your benefit I should read scripture it was in Solomon's heart to make the house of the Lord and his own house he prosperously can I tell you that when you begin to exalt the name of Jesus that what you begin to touch begins to change everything about your life begins to change everything about your life begins to change when you begin to exalt the name of Jesus everything you do Solomon begins to prosperously become effective a lot of people are looking for prosperity in the wrong places yeah a lot of people don't understand there is a worldly Prosperity that is connected to man's efforts man can prosper because he's a hard worker a woman can prosper because she's a hard worker and that's all but there's a great difference and prospering and being blessed and prospering alone Wall Street can take your Prosperity away but when you have a heart for the name of Jesus Wall Street can't touch what you have everything he's touched everything Solomon touched you want your life to become prosperous touch the name of Jesus you want your marriage to become prosperous Reach Out And Touch the name of Jesus you want your family to be blessed Reach Out And Touch the name of Jesus it was in Solomon's heart somebody say his heart it was in his heart to do these things verse number 12. of the seventh chapter of second chronicles and the Lord appeared to Solomon by night let me tell you something you will never sacrifice to God it is impossible it is impossible you read my lips today it is impossible it is impossible it cannot happen it cannot happen the Bible says the Bible says for with God nothing is impossible now I want you to really look at that verse and squeeze it hard with God nothing is impossible in other words let's turn it just for a minute let's look at it from a different angle nothing is an impossibility with God you cannot serve God and end up with nothing you cannot live for God you cannot Embrace God and walk away with nothing Solomon all the thousands of gallons of blood all the Sheep 120 000 sheep what a cost 22 000 oxen what a cost thousands of gallons of blood what a cost but Solomon you're going to get a visit from me you have never worshiped God that we're sometime in your life God didn't give you a visit and can I tell you one visit from God is worth three months of not hearing from God One Touch of a master's hand is worth a whole season of your life going through saying God where are you God I don't understand it God it's dark can't see my hand in front of my face God but God says if you'll keep worshiping me I will appear to you by not child of God don't lose your praise child of God don't lose your worship and most of all child of God please don't lose your faith you cannot Embrace god without God showing up in your life and the Lord appeared to Solomon by night and said unto him I have heard thy prayer I have chosen I have chosen this place to myself for a house of sacrifice I chose emphasis I'll make an emphasis on this I have chose this place to myself for a house of sacrifice he goes into if I shut up Heaven there'll be no rain verse 13 verse 14 If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves verse number 15 this is where I'm getting to now mine eyes shall be opened and my ear attend unto the prayer that is made in this place for now have I Chosen and Sanctified this house that my name may be there forever mine eyes and Mine Heart shall be there perpetually let me give you let me give you a release Tennessee vernacular of what the word perpetually means in a way Faith That Never Ends in a way that never ends now look at this with me now he said I'm going to put my name in that house sister Wagner I'm going to put my name in that house I'm gonna put my eyes in that house and I'm going to have my ear my my eyes and my ear my heart is going to be in that house look at these three things my name is in that house my eyes are in that house my heart is in that house look at what you have when you exalt the name of Jesus his name is Authority his eyes is protection his heart is compassion his eyes is Authority no one can Thunder like our God no one has near the authority that our great God has no one has near the protecting power that our great God has and no one can love you compassionately like our great God can love you my name is in that house my eyes are in that house my heart is in that house do we not see this in the wonderful parable of the prodigal son when the prodigal son had wasted his father's inheritance he had wasted his inheritance he had went out and become drunken he had went out and slept with multiple harlots he had went out and wasted all of his wealth yet in the pig pen of sin he came to himself and he said how many servants in My Father's House have bread and enough to spare and I perish with Hunger I will arise and go to my father and I'll say to him father I know things can never be the same I know that I can never have restoration I know that things can never be the same but would you hire me as a servant to work on the farm and at least I'd get a little bread but the Bible says when he was yet a great way off his father saw him you know why the father can see he's got better than 20 20 Vision he can see you a long way down he sees the tears you cried Mama over those children he saw the night that you got up sister Brenda and you said on the edge of your bed and sleep was robbed from you but he saw you as you got up and you begin to call out upon the most worthy name he's got an eye I wish somebody would say Amen he's got an eye but he just doesn't have an eye today he's got a heart because when the father saw him he took off running after him what is that that's his great compassion and he fell upon his neck and didn't even let the boy finish the statement make me as a servant until he began to bark out authoritative orders he began to bark out only the father's Authority can release the calf from the barn to be sacrificed only the fathers of Purity can release the closet lock to open up the the clothes and the robe and the ring only the father's Authority don't you see this with me today that God has an eye that sees and that God has an authority all yes he has the authority to come and fall on the neck and begin to love the Sun he has the authority to Lord I told you I was going to come lift up your name this morning what Emmy's glad you're loved by him today come on how many is glad you're loved by him this morning God first chose the place for his house much like a purchased lot you know there are those that are fortunate enough they first think about of you before they think about their house they want a mountain view they want to Lake View you want a notion of you then they build the house do you know that God first chose a mountain before he built a house before he ever gave the plans to Solomon David he chose Jerusalem he chose the top of the mountain this is interesting what I'd like to bring to you this morning the 21st letter of the Hebrew alphabet the 21st letter of the Hebrew alphabet is called the sheen Psalms 119 is divided into 22 sections each containing eight verses and beginning with one of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet you can find the the letter the 21st letter Sheen over the section beginning at Psalms 119 161. this Sheen this Hebrew letter stands High among Hebrew letters because it represents two old testament names of God Shady eye God Almighty the all-sufficient the unlimited one and Shalom peace this one letter stands just one letter stands and represents two old testament names God almighty are sufficient one unlimited one and Shalom peace Jewish thought suggests that the sheen the letter Sheen looks like in the proper position a man praying the middle prong represents the man's head while the two outer prongs represent his hands raise heavenward It is believed in Exodus 17 and 11. It is believed that as long as Moses held up his hands heavenward Israel prevailed why because Moses lifted up the name of the Lord even in a silhouette Moses was lifting up the name of the Lord Exodus 17 11 it came to pass when Moses held up his hands that Israel prevailed and when he let down his hand amalek the enemy prevailed doesn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together today and come up with four as long as we're exalting the name of Jesus we've got Victory on our side as long as we lift up the name of Jesus as long as we magnify his name as long as we glorify his name not just in church but all through our lives as long as we lift up the name the enemy cannot overtake us and the enemy cannot overcome us but just as sure is I let that name that freshness of that name The Wonder of that name the Bible said and thou shalt call his name wonderful you see don't ever lose the Wonder of the name of Jesus Christ the the word Wonder means miraculous we ought to always live a miracle should never get old and the greatest Miracle you've ever encountered in your life was when God found you in the pit of sin and destruction and and God lifted you up he brought me out of the Maori clay he set my feet upon the rock to stay you don't have to heal me from cancer just show that's a miracle working God my life is a testimony your life is a testimony come on somebody today get on the bandwagon with me I came to church to exalt his name today I came to lift up his name today sure enough sure enough sure enough you lift up the name of Jesus and God will begin to fight your battles sure enough sure enough you you lose the beauty of that name you lose the beauty of that name and all of a sudden the enemy begins to attack you in ways you never thought unimaginable look with me for just a moment to Deuteronomy chapter 16 and verse number Deuteronomy chapter 16 and verse number 11. and thou shalt Rejoice before the Lord thy God thou thy son thy daughter and thy man's servant thy maidservant and the levite that is within thy Gates and the stranger and the fatherless and the Widow that are among thee watches in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there he said these are the people that I Want To Worship in the place that I put my name he said you worship in the place that I put my name father mother you worship the greatest answer to family trouble is a father and a mother worshiping God Mom and Dad you worship we don't believe around here that the youth group stirs us all up we believe that the older people stir the youth group up I'm not waiting for my children to come down here to stir me up I'm going to worship God and scur them up that is the order that that ought to go in thou and thy son and thy daughter now the Bible said the promise is unto you to your children to those who are far off I didn't know this till yesterday at the 50th anniversary of brother Zach Hammond's father their Church where brother Zach Hammond is from matter of fact that's where brother Zach is there this morning he is concluding the I actually dedicated the building their new church on Friday night brother Hammond Zach Hammond is preaching part of the anniversary their 50th Anniversary there at that church but I didn't know this I knew obviously I knew brother Zach Hammond's father and I knew brother Zach Hammond's grandfather I preached for both of them but what I didn't know that where this Pentecost started from was that and it would be it would be uh it would be let's see it would be brother Zach Hammonds great grandfather didn't know anything about Pentecost didn't know anything about Pentecost Obi Hammond and his brother died and it back in those days they put you in a wood box and and there wasn't a funeral home your home was where the Box the the casket laid so they took you to the graveyard and they had buried his brother that day in the house they had buried his brother they had his funeral the body there in the house They Carried him out to the graveyard and brother Zach Hammonds great grandfather Brothers Hammond Zach Hammond's great grandfather came home knew nothing about Pentecost but opened up his Bible sister Myers and God baptized him with the Holy Ghost he began to speak with other tongues as the spirit of God gave the utterance and it kind of went backwards there for a little bit his son his son got the Holy Ghost and got the revelation of the name his son became the pastor and the dad became the assistant pastor but I couldn't help when they showed the picture yesterday of him holding the Bible that he got that Revelation that that was Beckham and Hampton's gray gray grandfather that received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and it still going strong today the greatest tradition you could start in your family is an exalting of the name of Jesus Christ be of off and great but be a worshiper of Jesus Christ I want my boy to be a hunter I want my daughter to be able to play the piano come on Mama you gotta put something in them that'll run in the family in the name of Jesus he said you Worship in the house of God your man's servants and made servants that's a that's your employees that you worship with that you that you work with bring your thought bring your co-workers to the house of God the levite that's within thy gate worship with the pastors he worships the stranger the stranger the fatherless the Widow all of these he said let them gather let them gather let them gather let them gather let them worship you've wandered in here today and wondered in the world what in the world have I got myself into chill out bro it's gonna be all right we just worshiping Jesus we just Worship in Jesus many years ago matter of fact I think it was in I think the year was 1981 I was preaching for brother Bobby McCool and Westminster West Memphis Arkansas and uh as a form of entertainment as a form of entertainment after church will be over we had a form of entertainment we would go home and he had a police scanner and we would listen to police calls that went over into Memphis we were in West Memphis and we'd set their way up the night and we'd listen to police calls coming in one day brother Purdue and brother Perdue I got two Purdue's here today let's play some basketball one night we was around the we were around the police scanner listing and all of a sudden call came in woman's out of her mind possibly drug overdose woman's out of her mind would you go name the street to go neighbors are complaining she's out of her mind drug overdose possibly and the police officer of course when they would key down when the police officer would go in the home and and key down you could actually hear what was going on in the room and something called All of Us Pentecostal preachers we like a bunch of bird dogs when they went when they went into that house where the supposed woman had old need and was crazy out of her mind and they came down we heard a woman talking in other tongues she was just talking at other times and talking in other tongues and talking other times thank God for an officer that recognized it because he came back and he said this woman has an old need well she's doing we're out of here she's just loving Jesus is all she knew it oh just chill out today all we're doing is loving Jesus I promise you you'll see way more emotions at football games and you you got more to fear at a football game ain't no fight's gonna break out around here nobody gonna get intoxicated we just let just chill out we're just loving Jesus today you can come Among Us oh my God oh my jerusalems topography I believe you have that Jerusalem It is believed by rabbitic sources tells us that this is why the letter Sheen is seen in topography of ancient of Israel's ancient capital city the geography of this city declares declares the name of the Lord it declares the name of the Lord with these mountains that are placed here you have Mount Zion Mount Moriah Mount of Olives you have the three valleys the hinan valley the terrapian valley the valley of kendron and all of these mountains and valleys form this 21st letter of the sheen which is the name of the Lord God chose this place you see let me tell you something about Jerusalem for a moment Jerusalem had no client no other claim to fame but the fact she was God's holy city I've had people ignorantly with a some pride mixed in want to impress me before I mounted their podium with who they have that worships with them and they'll name stars and political leaders that when they're in town this is where they worship now being a kind gentleman that I am I don't say it out loud I've been in my heart I'm going whoopy do I'm glad they're there they need Jesus you see your endorsement does not help this name God doesn't if God could only save a bunch of political leaders we could have Revival he don't need political leaders to have Revival he don't need movies oh honey go start the car I don't know if they're with me this morning I can't I'm telling you we don't need any politicians we don't need any movie stars we don't need any who's who you got this thing turned around they need us they need I can't contain myself today when I begin to think about the name of Jesus and I begin to think about that name that name when I begin to think about that name that is greater than any name I can't contain myself listen they need us today they need us today you hear me the name of the Lord today they need us today it's the name of Jesus it's the name of Jesus what's the name Lord I told you I told you when I got up this morning I was going to exalt your name today I was gonna lift up your name Jerusalem had no other claim to fame but the fact she was God's holy city she had no River Frontage like Babylon she had no Harbor like Alexandria no power like Rome she was not even on the main roads but she was located high on a mountain called Moriah a place God chose to put his name long before Solomon ever built the temple on top of Mount Moriah God already chose a mountain can I tell you something all these led screens all these lights ain't nothing a good lightning storm can't take out don't you ever be impressed with what you see in this building because it ain't nothing that a pandemic can't take care of I grew up years of my life the Knoxville Church they have a 30-minute radio program at the end of their Sunday morning service radio and television now but for years they would sign off on the radio on Sunday morning take the name of Jesus with you child of comfort and of Woe he will comfort I can't remember take it in wherever you go precious name oh how sweet of Heaven preciousness can I tell you something ain't nothing here that a lightning storm can't take out you being here today is nothing that a pandemic can't come through and take us but when the pandemic causes us not to be able to come we can take the name of Jesus with us oh I'm gonna preach till I stir you up about the name Abraham Abraham take Isaac take Isaac to the mountain that I tell you of which mountain is that God Mariah take him to Mariah and offer him up there can I tell you that the house of God is the place we come when we can't figure life out and sometimes can we just warm up to each other today can we just sometimes our prayers are really telling God how he ought to run your life God if you do this now God I want you to do this you do this okay prayer is not a grocery list to God you don't know as much as God I know
