you have your Bibles go back to Genesis please Genesis chapter 13 and verse number four and five to the church family tonight praise the Lord and it's so good to see you getting back into our routine of worship on Sunday night to all of our wonderful trendsetters that are at home watching byline we love you and we can't wait until you're back here you're back you're with us - our guest tonight guest light brother a co-worker of brother Brad Gomez - all of our guests tonight we welcome you at first Apostolic Church we're so glad that you would choose to come in you choose to come in worship with us tonight and thank you thank you and thank you my faith is greater than my circumstances I'm so excited about the opportunity of a great reset a great reset button - those of you in the choir let me ask you can you hear pastor tonight can you hear that it was said this morning I guess we didn't have the monitors on and they said it felt good in the spirit but they they they were fruitless in their understanding so I love you all thank you all so much our faith is greater than our circumstances we have been given a tremendous opportunity to reset our lives the last 45 days or so I personally have been taking my life apart piece by piece motive by motive I've been finding myself coming back to a foundation it's got to be about Jesus it's got to be about him we have got to be driven by what drives Jesus and so you're gonna hear a lot of this in the next few weeks as a pastor I can't lead you where I've not been and I want to go somewhere in God that you can go and to be delivered from pettiness of this world I said to be delivered from the pettiness of this world it's not God's will a lot of things we thought we had to have but we found out we didn't have to have Genesis 13 vs. 4 kind of start right back in this morning matter of fact I used the same title that I had this morning the great reset button the great reset button Genesis chapter 13 verses 4 and 5 unto the place of the altar which he had made there at the first and there Abram called on the name of the Lord you only call on his name when you need help and a lot also of advice everyone say and a lot also which went with Abram had flocks and herds and tents and lot also father I thank you tonight for the privilege of preaching I thank you tonight Lord that you have called me in the ministry and the Ministry of the preaching of the word of God is the only method on this earth that possesses life-changing power father I ask tonight that you would anoint me that I may feed the sheep tonight God would you anoint me that I may show the prodigal the way back home tonight would you anoint me that I may show the sinner the way inside the gate tonight God my faith is greater than my circumstance and you're able to do exceedingly abundantly above that we pray anoint your servant tonight in Jesus name and everybody said in Jesus name you may be seated we are not born again we are not born again or saved however you'd like to say this we are not born again are saved because we are perfect we are born again because we are willing and obedient to his word when we are born again it does not mean that for a moment we reach perfection and God saved us God saved us because of two things we were willing and obedient to God's Word God saved us but although God saved us and we were born again however you want to say that we still have issues in our lives that must be conquered we have ways of thinking that are not God's ways of thinking huh does it matter that you've got baptized in Jesus name does it matter that you receive the Holy Ghost and you spoke in a heavenly language that's all well and good but you didn't get the Holy Ghost because you were perfect you've got the Holy Ghost because you were willing and obedient but after that we still have issues in our lives that must be conquered we have ways of thinking that are not God's ways of thinking some of us know all of us have personality issues and I know you think I'm talking to somebody else tonight some have personality issues that have to be grinded on but the altar is designed to remove those things out of our lives and to prepare us for the work of God that's why at an Apostolic Church the altar is not something you went to once we don't go to our over once we go to all here to get born again but then we go back to that altar because again I want to say we were not born again because we've reached a momentary level of perfection we didn't receive the Holy Ghost because somehow we got our prayer right got our sins right and got perfect for a split second and God got to her imported spirit eNOS that didn't happen we were willing and obedient and God filled us with the Holy Ghost but that same altar that we were filled with the Holy Ghost in now becomes the altar that I take my hang-ups to it now comes the altar that I take my stubbornness to oh we're talking about everybody's not here tonight yeah oh it's that altar that we take those personality issues and hangups ways of thinking that are not of God we take them back to that altar time after time at the time going back to the message this morning you remember that Abraham built this altar and then he got out of the will of God you remember that he got out of the will of God and he went down to Egypt temporarily lost his wife for a few days in Egypt finally god plagued the house of Egypt and that was interesting what brother Hemant said tonight about the prodigal in the Pigpen that God sent a famine and it shook him up God sent a famine to every body and it shook him up is it an interesting that Abraham didn't get his wife back until God shook Egypt he to playing Egypt in Egypt brings severai and Abraham makes his way all the way back and where did he go he went all the way back to that altar that he first I say first everybody say first he went back to that first altar he went back to that altar that he had made he went back to that altar sounds like a priority thing here he said priority it was a first he goes back to that alter my opening text and there it that all tree called on the name of the Lord but verse number 5 is interesting because verse number 5 almost seems to be out of place because it simply says you've got Abraham calling out on the name of the Lord and then the Bible said and a lot also now that's even odd how that's worded there and lot also which went with Abraham had thoughts and herds and tents he was wealthy now I've got in one verse Abraham's worshiping God and then the next verse the Holy Ghost leads the writer to tell us about lot well the reason the writer tells us about what is that lot is not supposed to be with Abraham he's not supposed to be there Abraham came out like God said God blessed him like God said but again Abraham was not perfect Abraham brought lot with him or allowed lot to come with him it was not God's will for lot to be there Genesis chapter 12 and verse number 1 proves this now the Lord had said unto Abram get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred from thy father's house unto a land that I will show thee lot was Abraham's nephew that makes children that makes lot kid that makes a lot the father's household abraham allowed something to come out with him that was not God's will but God allowed that to come out because God understands that perfection of his people does not happen at a one-time experience that it's going to take the altar to get the lot out of us it's going to take an altar to get things out of our lives that's why the hardest thing to do in a church service is to get people to the altar because your lot fights the altar because it's there that lot becomes begins to decrease it is there that we identify that I have some things in my life that I've got to continue to be working on because it's not God's will for me to have lot Genesis 12 and for another proof Genesis 12 for Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken unto him and lot went with him again we got the Holy Ghost and got born again not because we were perfect but because we were obedient but we still had things that came with us that need to be placed on the altar you're going to notice something with me that in Genesis in Genesis chapter number 13 in Genesis chapter number 13 and verses number verse number 8 that there was strife between the herdmen the workers of Abraham because as Abraham was growing lot was growing anytime we don't address lot lot increases that's why John said I must decrease that Jesus might increase Abraham is increasing but it's not addressed lot abraham is becoming wealthy in sheep and cattle and gold and silver but he's not addressing lot you see it is possible for us to mistake prosperity for being in the will of God but it is not your financial prosperity that should tell you that you are in the will of God it should be how much less of lot you have tonight than you had a year ago tonight with you we have got to have less of lot so Abraham is increasing his sheep were increasing his cattle are increasing but lot cheaper increasing and lots cattle are increasing until there cometh strife the Bible says in Genesis 13 the workers of Abraham begin to strive begin to fight begin to war can I tell you the call of Abraham is going to win or the call of Locke is going to win in all of our lives tonight good church people we are in a battle with the call of God and the things of lot and we must understand that you have to have an altar to where once and for all you show lot who's in control once and for all you let lot know that there's got to be a separation I wonder with codeine 19 how many want to follow me join me in this great reset but of going back and addressing some things a lot lot is stubborn lot is rebellious lot is tagging along in the end the end after toll of the call of God lot is here not for a spiritual touch of God the song that we sang before I preached would have borne lot out of his mind because a lot doesn't want the mind and heart of worship as much as he wants the riches of prosperity but somewhere I wonder if I pastor some people tonight that can say I've let watch tag along with me long enough I have fought lot he has kept me from doing the fool 100% will of God I'm tired of low living I'm tired of always wondering what God wants to do in my life I'm ready tonight I'm ready on the second service of the return after told at 19:00 I'm ready to address life tonight I'm ready to talk to lock tonight you shouldn't have come out with me in the first place but I want to talk to you tonight like you shouldn't be here in the first place but but I want to talk to you tonight lot so Abram he came in Genesis chapter 13 and verse number 8 and Abram said unto lot let there be no strife I pray thee between me and thee and between my herdsmen and I heard them for we be brethren it's not the whole land before they separate thyself I pray thee from me if thou will take to the left hand then I will go to the right or if thou depart to the right hand then I will go to the left and a lot lift it up here izo we shall take it all with me right now and Lotte lifted up his eyes and beheld all the plain of Jordan that it was well watered everywhere before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah even as the Garden of the Lord light the land of Egypt as thou come us to Zohar did you see there it was well watered everywhere before Sodom and Gomorrah can I tell you what's wrong with Lots vision Lots sees things as they are and not as they're going to be see lot just sees things of the moment this is why you got to be delivered from the vision of lot because lot sees things in the moment the Bible said that Satan showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time Satan has to get you to make quick decisions lot spirit causes you to look at something but not examine it because you can look at it now it looks like the Garden of Eden but lot you don't understand that the ways of the sodomites the ways of the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are on God's judgment sheet and God is going to rain down God is not even gonna wait for Sodom and Gomorrah to stand in line to be cast into hell the Bible said God brought hell to Sodom and Gomorrah so Lord has the vision of seeing things as they are God deliver us from having the vision of lot to see things as they are but not as they really do appear it is interesting in proverbs 14 and 12 proverbs 14 and 12 now I want to tell you something was a man told me one time he was critical of demonstrative worship he was critical of demonstrative worship and he had an arm a month about hand-clapping and here was his argument against hand-clapping he said well it only says once in the Bible to clap your hands that was his argument that he'd only said it once you know I'm thankful that this is a love relationship and God doesn't have to say it three or four times if he just says it once that's enough for me to clap my hands but would you not agree with me that if God would allow a scripture to be repeated twice that it would carry a little bit more of a of an examination proverbs 14 and 12 says there is a way which seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death proverbs 16:25 and there's only one word that has changed proverbs 14:12 says there is a way which proverbs 16:25 says there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death anytime you have Lots vision you always look at things the way that that you perceive them because it said there is a way that seems right it seems right how many people base their salvation on I feel like God loves me how many people lose their walk with God by saying I don't feel God any more that's because a lot always goes on his vision lot looked around man fat lot made a number of mistakes a number of mistakes the first thing Locke did he had no regard for spiritual advice you see God did not speak to Locke and say come out and I'll bless you what God spoke to Abraham but you see Lots vision has no regard for spiritual advice lot's face for saying things like this I don't need nobody to tell me what to do I'm my own man nobody's gonna tell me how to live I can make my own decision you know what that's a lot mentality but lunch should have stopped right there and I should have said you know what uncle Abraham you know you would you just tell me what to do that's calibra him because it'sit's obvious I don't know what I need to do it's obvious that the Bible says it is not in man to direct his way do you know that each one of us tonight do not possess the ability to direct his ways that's why the Bible says that the steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord you don't you don't even know you don't have the ability to guide your life that's why we need the altar that's why we need that altar to knock off our stubbornness and knock off our self-will and to get on the altar and say God there's a way lock must be placed on the altar that part of us that makes decisions based on appearance must be placed on the altar that part of us it says I don't feel God therefore it's doing me no good to come to church that lot must be placed on the altar do you know that it was a lot spirit that caused the religious leaders to miss the very appearance of God incarnate because he didn't come like they thought he should appear he didn't come riding a white stallion he didn't come with a sharp chin and broad-shouldered and big fisted man he didn't come ordering people around well that can't be our king you know what our King looks like I said 42 and 1 behold my servant this is this is prophecy of Jesus Christ this is this is prophecy of him Isaiah 42 and 1 behold my servant is talking about Jesus Christ behold my sure that's right the Bible said he changed in the form and took on him the form of a servant somebody showed me a video clip and I may get a little backlash to this but I'm a big boy of a man preaching a preacher preaching and he stuck his shoes out somebody came up and start shining his shoes I thought to myself it's not like the Jesus I know Jesus I know didn't let people shine their shoes shine his shoes he got down and took the towel and wrapped it around he said let me show you what I look like I'm not some Don Juan I'm not some yeah I'm not some rubble Rosen protester I'm not I'm not some rebellious person in society sticking my sandals out to be shine I came not to serve I came not to be served that I came to serve I'm talking about my Jesus tonight listen when we think somebody owes us something we need to get to the altar that's that old walk spirit that's not ahold of us behold my servant whom I uphold my leg and whom my soul delighteth I have put my spirit upon him let's talk about Jesus Christ he shall bring forth victory or judgment to the Gentiles he shall not cry nor lift up nor cause his voice to be heard in the streets now that didn't mean Jesus did not lift up his voice because he did this is talking here he wasn't some protester in the streets leading the mob he didn't come to lead a mob as a matter of fact they came one day to make him King somebody already went down to the jeweler store and bought a crown they come one day to make him a king and you know what he did he slipped out of the myths and win another direction because I don't want you to I don't want you to make a king Jesus Christ did not come to incite a mob he came to give his life for a church I want you to know that that bribe that has his name should act the same way we should be a group of people that are not trying to upset society but we're trying to change society we're trying to to be a witness to be a light to society he shall not cry nor lift up nor cause his voice to be heard in the street a bruised Reed shall he not break and the smoking flash shall he not quench he shall bring forth judgment that were judgment there literally means victory victory a bruised Reed a reed was a musical instrument that could play a tune it had to be cut from the swamps now I want you to know about my Jesus the swamps was a stinky place that the reeds would if you wanted to have a read you had to visit a stinky odious place in order to get a read you didn't get a read in a perfume power you didn't get a read know if you wanted to have a read you had to go down to the stinky swamp and cut you some reeds get it from faithful I'm thankful that God came to the stinky swamps of our lives when we were in our sin and we couldn't tell our left hand from my right hand when we cursed every other breath when our minds were filled with all kinds of sinful thoughts and deeds thank God he came to the swamp where you and I live this carpenter house is speaking but I believe I got a preacher back in here somewhere I believe I've gotta read Oh would you worship the Lord aren't you glad that he would tell you that's my Jesus to go to the stinky swamps give him a reading and you know what even after that read would be taking it from the stinky swamps and be cut and trimmed into the flute let that flute get bruised and he didn't throw it away he won't break it I'm not only glad for the mercy that God has shown to me before I was saved hi I'm thankful tonight for the mercy that he has had with me since I've been saved I'm not only glad I'm not only glad that he came down to the swamp we're 12th a long-haired 16 year old potty and boy and he said I can use you I'm not only glad he could feel that 16 year old long-haired pothead with the Holy Ghost but years later when that two-piece suit would be on him but uh but a wrong spirit would be in his heart I'm glad that he would come down and say I'm not gonna throw you away son I'm not gonna throw your way daughter I'm not gonna throw you away you know y'all know I'm preaching the truth tonight we're not always what we ought to be we don't always do what we ought to be but I'm thankful to God that he came down and he said oh I know he's bruised but I'll work with him he'll sing a new tune I'm glad you're glad with the mercy of God tonight would you get on your feet and would you thank God tonight for His mercy which we thank God tonight for his mercy and for His grace come on since you been stated since you've a say since you had the Holy Ghost since you been baptized since you been in the church would you give Him praise oh you may be seated he'll work with bruised breeds and smoking flat a wick that's run out of oil that only has a spark and the house is filled with smoke it's a great irritation I'm glad he'll work with us aren't you glad you'll work with us Psalms 1829 some of my favorite verses of Scripture are you ready to have your faith built Psalms 18 and 29 some faith building scriptures for by these have I run through a truth and by my God have I leaped over a wall as for God his way is perfect there is a way that seemeth right but his way is perfect the word of the Lord is tried if there's any of you here tonight and you're doubtful about anything in the Word of God I can bring you some testimonies that can stand and say I've tried it I'm telling you it works if there's somebody here tonight and you're not sure about being faithful to church every time the doors are open you hear me tonight I've tried it and it works if there's anybody here tonight that's questioning whether you want to give a dime out of them a dollar that you make Matakana I've tried it and it works if there's anybody here tonight that's really wondering does prayer work I want you to know I've tried it words come on and give the King of Kings glory come on make it sound in this house tonight have you tried oh the word of the Lord is tried he is a buckler to all that trusts him a buckler goes out before you the buckler is not behind you the buckler knows the enemies there before you did the buckler knows the trouble was there before you did can you understand something on December 31st of 2019 when you and I worship and communion in our homes across Blount County our buckler already knew that covet 19 was on the way I'm glad that he's always everything gonna be all right you better believe it's gonna be all right because my buckler has already went out before me he is a buckler to those that trust him for who is god save the Lord who is the rock save our God it is God that girded me with strength and make up my way perfect there is a way that seems right he maketh my feet like Hinds feet and set me upon my high places this high place here refers to spiritual activity there is a devil tonight and there are demonic spirits tonight but the child of God need not fear because God will make your feet like Hinds feet and will cause you to walk in hot places when demonic spirits come against you you can identify them for what they are and you can pass them back to hell from which they come because I'm telling you tonight the more I get a lot out of my life the more I get Abraham in my life and I'm able to walk with God he teaches my hands to war so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms thou has also given me the shield of our salvation and thy right hand folded me now here's what I want you to see and thy gentleness hath made me correct not my ability to break steel not my ability to take my hands and break a man's neck that's not what made me great what made me great was the gentle side of God oh the gentle Savior oh the gentle Savior some people can't recognize God in their life because you look at the world and the world rules my force the world rules by what you can see commercial after commercial after commercial after commercial every catch during your youth job I can get your youth o sickening things you could go back and get you because the world has got to sell you a Sodom and Gomorrah the world helps that you take on the vision of la no his gentleness made you great no the Jesus that I served tonight the Jesus that I served tonight wash his feet he doesn't have his feet washed he wash his feet as a matter of fact as he was washing feet as the Lord God of glory girded himself with a towel and stooped down to the dirty stinking feet of his disciples and began to wash them there was one disciple that was refusing no not me these other guys may not realize who you are but I Peter I know who you are and it was the Lord that said Peter if I do not wash your feet if I do not wash your feet you and I are done right here that's exactly not those words but that meaning he said it's over right here I don't care if you have been to Bible College Peter for three and a half years it's over right here I don't care if you see me walk on water and you've even got a testimony and we'll be in demand to go around the country until about the few brief moments you walked on water I don't care I don't care that I have poured into you for three and a half years and you even have revelation if you don't let me wash your feet and teach you about a servant it's over right here right now it's over I'll go down and pick somebody else because God is saying tonight I don't need a bunch of Lots I need some servants I need some people that can wash feet and he got down and do you know you studied out in the King James Version do you know the only time the word Hathi was ever used in Matthew Mark Luke and John and the only time that Jesus he was the only one that ever used it after he washed everybody's feet showed that he was an unbeliever showed that there was a way of greatness some people can't see the path to greatness the path to greatness is through squashing everybody on your way up the path to greatness is serving everybody on your way up you see in the world the way up is up but in God's kingdom the way up is down in the world if you want to be excited it's dog-eat-dog look out for yourself look out for number one you live by the golden rule he that has the gold rules that's the world but in the church you get exalted by humbling yourself you get exalted by getting all the lot that you can out of you because the Lord will tell you you can make it on your own lot can tell you that you can make it all by yourself but the less that you can get from what a lot the more that you're going to be set building an altar saying God I need you God I'm gonna have you today God I need some wisdom today God I need some strength today God I need you to make a way that's how God builds and Abraham the only time he ever used the word happy was after he washed feet he said if you will do these things to one another happy are you you see lot needs to be crucified continually as long as we live we'll have a little little light in us you can't you can't redeem lot lot is beyond help I'll prove it to you if only our musicians would come right now I'll prove it to you and I'd like to take us back into that same song that same set that I for the message I'm gonna prove that you can you can't change a lot lot lifted up his eyes beheld the well-watered Plains of Sodom it wasn't long until lot was living in Sodom because listen to me now listen to me I know they're getting ready by now don't you distraction you listen to me you always gravitate what you focus on he pitched his tent towards Sodom that was his first step he pitched his tent towards Sodom the next time we find a lot he's living inside because this is it you always gravitate on what you're focused on and what you're focused on always determines your priority your priorities and your focus is inseparable whatever you focus on will become priority do you know you can't do anything with lock the killing because a few months later five kings came together and they came down and they attack Sodom and Gomorrah and they took these five kings took lot his wife and lots daughter's captive and carried him off to a strange land Abraham armed 318 men and Abraham went and attacked those loose kings and rescued a lot what I would just think that the last thing Locke would want to do is go back to Sodom but you guessed it guess where he went right back to Sodom because that lot in us is always trying to tell us the direction angels come down to Sodom because now they're going to destroy Sodom you see lot's way of thinking I don't have I try to type out things of what month I try to wonder what's going through people's minds angels come to angels come to Sodom and Gomorrha lot recognizes the Angels because they had frequented the tents of his uncle Abraham he knew they were heavenly messengers he stepped out of the street and he's trying to get the angels in the house because the men of the city who are sexually perverted sodomites sexually perverted he's trying to get these angels in the house and he gets them in the house and these perverted men begin to beat on the door I can't explain it this is why I want to preach to you you need to get all the lot out of your life because if you keep a lot in your life you'll have some crazy thinking you'll have crazy priorities and crazy value systems guess what guess what lot steps out lot steps up shuts the door behind him brother Karl he starts talking to these perverted men he says oh dude do these men know harm that's in the house they plainly said you can read it bring them out that we may know them we want to have a relationship with them he said oh no no don't do that he said I have daughters which have never known men I'll bring my daughters out to you church tonight this is why we need to keep our minds on the altar cuz what kind of a father what kind of a father would step out to a bunch of sexual perverted men and I've got my daughters in here that I'll bring out to you I've got my granddaughter in Paris I'll bring out here I've got other I've got others I'll bring out here but you see when you're lied when you're like you're a way of thinking is your God the Angels put a lock back inside the house and smoke the men with blindness the next morning the angel said come on lock come on a lot we gotta go we gotta go like don't you understand that's brimstone I'm ruined there's Hellfire brewing we gotta go a lot we got to escape to the mountain we got to get all the way to yonder range and let's start saying hey fellas I tell you I know I gotta leave here but could I negotiate just a little bit with you could could I negotiate I don't know that I want to go all the way to the mound come on the dose yeah just a little bit with you could we go over here to this small city you can't help what lot can't be helped the only thing a lot can beat you you got a thirty mile the altar if you listen to him talk he'll make if you listen to your flesh talk - forward - brokenness and spirit you'll start thinking that everybody else in the church is is is how out of touch even the pastor's out of touch man I got my family by the tail I've got life by the tail I'm making more money than I know what to do I'm not happy - John come on you better kill better key a lot he ain't just kick you kick it with negotiate just a little bit and the angel says wait a minute God says yeah whole lot there he is never wanting to go all the way I'm believing God that Kovac 19 is gonna settle in on this church and there's some of you for years have never went all the way I'm believing God's gonna stir some people up and you're gonna start saying you know what I don't want to negotiate anymore brother Carter tell me what the Word of God says tell me what the Word of God says I want to go all the way I believe that let me tell you do you know who come up with this business can I still do this and be saved lot you know who come up with this business well will I go to hell if I do this lot he negotiated can't kid I don't want to go all the way to the mountain can we just cover that city God said yeah a lot he can go to that little city over there but on his way out the angel said I don't want any of you turning back and looking go ahead mr. lot I want to phone missus lot I wonderful honey I want phone missus lot wasn't right proud of her missed a lot when instead of choosing Oh rough rough jagged mountain that Abraham lifted up his eyes I want to miss his lot stood beside him and that's my man that's my man there that's my man he's looking out for us that's my man he the uncle Abraham he's he's got on this religious bend and and he's blessed but he's chosen an old rocky hillside oh that's my man lot that's my husband there he is you will forever be memorialized by one nurse miss lot when Jesus was warning the congregation about the end of time of which we're facing he uttered these words remember Lot's wife what is there to remember she was almost out of Sodom does she look back what is there to remember lot gets up in a cave him and his two daughters he loses his wife he gets in a cave with his two daughters and his two daughters come up with a plan to get their own father drunk what a legacy they get their own father drunk in one sleep
