you have your bibles that would stand with me tonight what's not to love what's not to love about jesus turn with me to genesis chapter 8 verse number 20. while you're looking for that passage i i was informed we have a another notable champion here tonight brother nolan and sister flannery just returned from the alabama youth camp of which flannery was awarded ping-pong champion all right amen i'm glad flannery is the ping-pong champion that's that's kind of an illinois sport this bocce's more up northeast so i'm glad of that we just returned from mississippi camp brother gary porterfield is a superintendent doing a fantastic job pastors the church the apostolic church in walnut his uh son corey corey porterfield is probably one of the most dynamic young men of god that you would ever want to hear preach preached brother corey is anointed him and his mother are just vessels of the lord and i was told that corey's son brantley porterfield is with us tonight brantley would you just wave your hand way back there brantley we're so glad to have you so glad to have you here first apostolic god bless you so very very much genesis chapter 8 and verse number 20. someone say praise the lord and noah builted an altar unto the lord and took of every clean beast and of every clean fowl and offered burnt offerings on the altar and the lord smelled a sweet savor and the lord said in his heart you need to underline that and the lord said in his heart i will not again curse the ground anymore from man's sake for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth neither will i again smite anymore everything living as i have done while the earth remaineth seat time and harvest cold and heat summer and winter day and night shall not cease now that one verse right there is where you need is where you need to ignore all of the doom doomsday people of global warming and the planet's going to cease to be the planet all right because as long as god someone said well there it's proven fact there is a hole in the ozone right now and if we keep doing what we're doing it you know well that might be a hole because he's about to snatch his church out of here all right but i got news for you tonight i got news for you tonight don't you ever get fearful don't you ever live in fear because the word of the lord says that as long while the earth remaineth seedtime and harvest cold and heat summer and winter day and night shall not cease i want to continue this morning's message on the ingredients of sacrifice lift your hearts with me right now please father lord right now in this part of the service where we want to open our hearts and our minds up to the word of god lord it is only by your word that we can be strengthened it is only by your word that revelation can come it is only by your word god that we can receive strength god lord we really don't know the way to walk if it wasn't for your word and lord i just pray tonight god you know what i feel that you have laid on my heart i pray god that you would touch all these precious precious people here tonight god you would move upon every soul that is here lord god just touch me tonight and gave me the ability to minister your word in jesus name we pray amen you may be seated the ingredients to sacrifice that's what i'm after the ingredients of sacrifice now noah and his family have been several months inside of the ark the ark finally comes to rest and god gives noah the directions god gives noah the word that noah is to step outside of the ark and the bible tells us in chapter 8 and verse number 20 that the first thing that noah did when he stepped out of the ark the very first thing that noah did that must have been that must have been something as they step out of the ark and they are eight people and they're they are the only eight people on the face of the earth it must have been something as they step out of the ark what's the first thing you do what's the first thing that you do after months of being inside of this large floating vessel what is the first thing that you would do well the first thing that you would do would probably have to do with what you deem as a priority the first thing that you would do would would have to do with uh how what you view is very important and the bible says the first thing that noah did was that noah built an altar unto the lord he built an altar the first thing that noah did when they stepped out of the ark after months of being in the ark when they stepped out of the ark i don't know if noah used some of the timber from the ark i don't know if he had some extra timber i i don't really know but the bible just simply tells us that the first thing that noah did was that noah built an altar unto the lord he built a place of sacrifice he built a place of offering to god a sacrifice and then we're told that noah took of the clean beast he didn't you know it's uh be kind of easy to give god something that you can't use but it really takes a sacrifice when you give god something that you could use and the scripture says that noah took every clean beast and every clean fowl and he offered them up as a burnt offering unto the lord he offered it up he put fire to them and he offered them up and as the fire consumed these animals noah didn't know this was going on noah had any no idea what was going on while he's in the process of well he's in the process of building an altar and he's in the process of offering up sacrifices the bible says in verse 21 that the lord smelled a sweet savor the lord smelled a sweet savor now brother kamlik it does not say that the lord spoke from heaven and told noah that he was pleased does it say that he spoke from heaven and said no i want you to know what you're doing i'm well pleased with as a matter of fact it's the very opposite because if you're following along with me you see that the lord smelled a sweet savior and the lord said in his heart he didn't say it out loud noah's building an altar noah's offering up sacrifices and it's no it's it's no easy task to do this building and lifting up animals and making sure that they're they're they're being consumed by the fire it's no easy job to do this and he's wiping sweat from his brow possibly and he's working and exerting himself and then up in heaven the bible says that god smelled a sweet savor god smelled a sweet aroma and then god said in his heart i will not again curse the ground anymore from man's sake for the imagination of the man's heart is evil from his youth neither will i again smite anymore every thing living as i have done and while the earth remaineth while the earth remain a sea time and harvest cold and heat summer and winter day and night shall not cease noah is unaware of what sacrifice has produced noah is unaware that what he has done has touched the heart of god but you see we have the old testament tonight oh glory be to his name we have the old testament tonight so that we don't have to offer up sacrifices blindly and wonder what god thinks about it you see we're told both sides of the story because the bible says upon us has come the ends of the world so god wants you and i to know tonight that when we are in the process of building our altars and we're in the process of offering up our sacrifices when it seems like that it's just a bunch of hard work and the heavens are silent that there is a god up in heaven that is smelling a sweet savor he is smelling something in his nostrils that is a sweet savior now i did a little study on this upon uh the power of smell and it just so happens to be and i've gotta i've got a picture if they could put this on the on the screen for me but that uh the the the the the the ability to smell is connected to the glands in your brain that is just upon the memory part the part of your brain that brings back the memory so close there and i could get into the medical terms but i wouldn't pronounce the words correctly i guarantee you but these two smelling and memory are so close that smelling seems to affect the memory it is when certain odors as a matter of fact as a matter of fact i tell my wife every year the first cutting of the grass always reminds me of the passing of my father every time the grass is cut because on april the 24th or 27th 1977 my father passed away and every springtime when the grass is cut the smell of grass automatically triggers all of the events that surrounded our father passing away from cancer there is just something about the smell that triggers the memory and it does here because when god smelled this sweet savor he smelled this sacrifice that noah had built he was pleased with the altar he was pleased with what noah did just like he's pleased with when we give him the sacrifice of praise he's pleased with that and when he is pleased he smells a sweet savor and when he does his memory god's memory is affected and the bible says that god said i will not again curse the ground anymore from man's sake in other words in the garden of eden he had placed a curse upon the ground but now because noah builds this altar to god god decides that this sacrifice that man has done that it causes god to reverse partially the curse i'm talking about the power of sacrifice the power of sacrifice we we have to learn the art of sacrifice because there is tremendous power in the art of sacrifice it would be this sweet smell that god would have that would cause him to partially reverse the curse on the ground and then he said neither will i smite again anymore everything living as i've done god decides that there'd be no more flood he decides that he'll never again smite the earth like he has done and then it says that he considers man he looks at man and he considers man and he says you know man from his man's imagination of heart is evil from his youth and then god says i'm going to give man consistency while the earth remaineth there'll be seedtime and harvest god said if you will plant your seed i will give you a harvest he said there may be cold but i'll give you the heat he said there may be winter but i'll give you the summer he said there may be night but i'll give you the day and all of this praise god is triggered because one man got off of an ark and decided the most important thing that he needed was not a house to live in the most important thing that he needed was not a fort the most important thing that he needed was an altar to serve and worship his god can you give god some praise tonight come on give him some praise right now the most important thing the last thing the enemy hopes you do is build an altar the last thing the enemy wants you to ever see is the revelation of sacrifice because if you can ever see that there is temporary pain but there is eternal joys that come with sacrifice if the enemy can keep you from ever seeing that yes sacrifice costs you momentarily but oh the rich dividends that you get from sacrifice can't even be compared with what you had to give up see moses noah he simply offers he simply says you know the most important thing to do family we've got to get back in touch with our god we've got to offer up some sacrifices and all the time that he's turning animals over and making sure animals are all consumed and wiping sweat from his brow and shooing away flies or whatever and working so hard to offer up these sacrifices there's a god in heaven that's saying i'm reversing the curse i understand how man is i'm going to give you seed time and harvest i'm going to give you great promises and then in chapter 9 it continues now god had said all of this in his heart but in chapter 9 verse number 1 it said and god blessed noah and his sons and said unto them be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth now noah didn't know what god had said when he was offering up the sacrifice you see there's always a time that god is silent but don't ever take god's silence that he doesn't care or he's not there in the midst of god's silence he's just watching you in your sacrifice i want to preach to you tonight and tell you that there's some of you that god is silent but he watched you walk in tonight he watched some of you folks come in maybe on us on a on a walker or a a cane in your hand he's watched some of you people that it hurts every time you stand up and every time you sit down and it seems like you would just like to hear from god i've got news for you tonight god has always seen every sacrifice that we've ever made to god and you just keep offering up because god is going to speak god will not remain silent always god blessed knowing his sons and said unto them somebody say said he said unto them be fruitful multiply and replenish the earth and the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every fowl of the air and upon that which moveth upon the earth and upon all the fishes of the sea into your hands they are delivered in other words god said i'm going to reward you for your sacrifice because i am going to put a fear of you upon your environment god is going to bless us more than what we understand he is going to put a fear that when when when the animals when they begin to see you now noah there's going to be a fear of you from the animals not only not only that he says in verse 3 that every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you as the green herb have i given you all things but the flesh with the life therein which is the blood thereof you shall not eat in other words he opens up and tells them there's things that they can eat now as long as they would drain the blood from that but he doesn't stop there i'm telling you there are rich benefits to a person that will sacrifice for the sake of their god not only that he comes down in verse number 5 and says surely your blood of your lives will i require at the hand of every beast will i require it at the hand of man at the hand of every man's brother will i require the life of man who so shed up man's blood by man shall his blood be shed for in the image of god made he man and you be fruitful and multiply bring forth abundantly in the earth and multiply therein now not only that god places a value upon human life god god lets noah know that there is now going to be a value upon human life the the generation that were destroyed in the flood had little value of human life but now god says we're going to place a value there's going to be a system of capital punishment if an animal would gourd a man and the man would die you're to take that animal and you're to take the life of that animal because he has taken the life of something that was made in the image and the likeness of god he not only said that but you would live in the fear if anger would boil within you and you dare entertain the thoughts of taking someone's life you knew that if i take someone's life there is a system that will take my life so god puts adam in a in an atmosphere excuse me noah in an atmosphere that values that values human life and of course we're really in a pickle today in our generation because we're living in a generation that has little to no value at all they're more concerned with saving a snail than they are preserving a child inside of a womb that's of a little value it is of little value at all all the effects all the benefits of one man deciding to offer up a sacrifice to god but not only that god now says it needs to rain and it will rain the black clouds will roll in and the thunder will roll it is of necessity that dark clouds come your way it is of necessity that rain fall to the earth but noah i know what you're going to begin to think when the torrential rains begin to fall upon the earth you're going to begin to think that i am angry again and that i'm going to destroy the earth and god says i don't want you living in fear aren't you thankful tonight that we serve a god that does not want us living in fear can i tell you that if you have repented of your sins believe it tonight and walk in victory if there's things you did years ago and you asked god to forgive you and he has forgiven you then you need to put your shoulders back you need to walk up upright because god has forgiven you i can't help that people won't forgive you but i can tell you the main one has already forgiven you you don't have to live in fear help me praise him tonight no no i know you know i i know you i know man and when the black clouds roll in the rains begin to fall and the thunder and the lightning flashes and the thunder booms i know you and you'll begin to be fearful but i'm going to give you a sign it's one of the most beautiful things people will stop on the side of the roads and take pictures he said i'm going to give you the rainbow and anytime you see the rainbow you just know that i will never again destroy the earth by flood i don't care how hard it rains i'm going to bring a bow out aren't you thankful tonight he never promised us that we wouldn't go through things but i'm so thankful tonight for the bowl i'm so thankful tonight he never said we wouldn't have dark clouds roll in he never said life wouldn't kind of get up uh topsy-turvy a little bit but oh thank you jesus he did say i'll give you the bow and the clouds i'll give you a sign in the midst of your storm that i am i am with you you see the greatest sacrifice that was ever given stay with me now can i talk to you for a moment about the greatest sacrifice that was ever given the greatest sacrifice that ever was given was when god operated as both priest and offering the greatest sacrifice of all was when almighty god operated in the dual role of being the priest deity and the offering humanity and can i tell you something there's still something about the cross that is a sweet aroma to god that's why we ought to sing about the cross we ought to we ought to sing about the blood we ought to sing about the cross we ought to read the gospels matthew mark luke and john about the cross it's one of the greatest faith builders for a new convert is to look at everything see because what the devil wants to tell us is when we slip up and fall is that we went too far for god to love us and when you look at the great extent to which god went to save us and you think we're going to mess it up with a little minute this or that you think we're going to really mess up the great plan that god has read matthew read mark read luke read john read about where he came to this earth the god of glory the god of heaven the creator the one that lives in a spiritual realm the omnipotent the omniscient god robed himself in the womb of a virgin girl and was born and the god of eternity placed himself in the capsule of time that's even hard to understand a god that has no past no future and no present places himself in the capsule of time and had to wait he had to wait until that day would come but you see tonight you sir and myself and you man we were worth the wait god did all of that to be both the priests that would offer and the offering calvary is nothing more than the grandest sacrifice that could ever be made for man thank god for calvary thank god for the cross i know we sing a lot about the holy ghost but you wouldn't have the holy ghost if it wasn't for the cross at the cross at the cross come on let's praise him tonight at the cross i believe something will happen at the cross at the cross where i first saw the light and the burdens of my soul were rolled away at the cross at the cross at the cross if god smelled a sweet savor with noah ephesians chapter five and verse number one ephesians chapter five and verse number one if you're still here say amen be ye therefore followers of god as dear children and walk verse 2 and walk in love as christ also hath loved us as christ also hath loved us and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to god for a sweet smelling savor it's not just a good preaching point tonight when noah built the altar and offered the sacrifice god said in his heart i reverse the curse i'll change things and when god hung on the cross in the flesh of jesus christ god still to this day at the preaching of the cross and the preaching of the blood and the preaching of the of the of the name of jesus god still smells a sweet aroma and it triggers god's memory it triggers god's memory he understands that your dust come on now church he understands that you're dust he understands your nature that's why he brought us the cross oh glory to god he brought us the cross i wish you'd help me praise him tonight at the cross you see there's something about do you you still realize don't you that noah's sacrifice is still in effect it looks like the sun is setting outside just like it did yesterday and in a few hours the sun will be completely down and it'll be night but don't give up in the night because somewhere early in the morning that same sun is going to come back up you know why it is because god said after a man made a sacrifice god said it's always going to be day and night summer listen it's hot right now it's hot right now but i hope you don't throw away your snow shovels it's hot right now but i hope you didn't put your winter coat in the rummage sale you just had because you just give it a few more months you'll be looking for that snow shovel you just i think let's i think this church i i think we have got we got snow shovels i think one time i counted we had like 19 snow shovels we got snow shovels all over this place we don't believe in throwing them away all right see brother carpenter there's a few bags of salt over here in the utility room you don't throw them away no don't throw them away i know it's 92 blooming degrees outside but don't throw them away because we gonna need them you just wait and you know why that is cause one man made a sacrifice and there's long lasting effects to sacrifice i don't care if it has been two thousand years the blood of jesus christ christ is just as potent right now as it was the day it dripped down his side the power of the gospel right now tonight is just as powerful as it was on the first day of pentecost when they spoke with other tongues the power of the gospel is just as strong because giving god a sacrifice has long lasting i want you to know there are prayers brother yates you hear me tonight there are prayers that you have prayed that you have forgot about but the god of your covenant hasn't forgot about them there are meals sister yates there are meals that you have missed that you have forgot about but there's a god in heaven that says i remember when she pushed the plate back i remember when they stayed at the church and they beat on altars can i tell you tonight that you make a covenant with an almighty god it has long reaching it's going to get night in just a moment thank you noah it's going to get daylight lord willing in the morning thank you noah because the covenant you may be seated a covenant has long lasting effects the sacrifice of calvary is just as potent just as powerful just as real as if it had happened yesterday praise god the bible says in philippians chapter 4 and verse number 9 18 excuse me philippians chapter 4 verse number 18. paul is writing to a church that he started he started the philippian church in a house there in philippi they soon opened up a jail ministry and they even won people from the jail a church was established there in philippi and in philippians chapter 4 verse number 8 paul is writing a thank you note back to the church at philippi because they have supported him financially they have given to him they have sent him offerings and they have supported him he writes a little thank you note back really the book of philippians is a thank you note that paul wrote to them and he says in verse number 18 but i have all and abound i am full having received of epheroditis that's a man that attended the church there having received of heparoditis the things which were sent from you an odor of a sweet smell a sacrifice acceptable well-pleasing to god now i've got news for you sacrifices do not go one way sacrifices always return back to the one that made the sacrifice you never sacrificed just one way and that's it sacrifices come all the way back around to you the church at philippi sacrificially took up an offering and they sent it by the hands of epheroditis and when ephelroditis received this paul wrote back and he didn't see money he didn't see coins he didn't see roman currency he said i i received it it was an odor of a sweet smell it is a sacrifice acceptable and well pleasing to god you understand tonight you understand that a small part of living for god is to allow god to have control of your finances that is a small part of your living for god it's not a huge part of your living for god but it is a small part of your living for god and do you understand that when you write out your tithing and you look at what you made and you write out tithing and you put in offerings that you when you walk down the aisle to put it in the container you may think you're putting money in the container but god says you're putting a sweet smell you're putting an odor in there and that odor is going to trigger my memory and when that odor comes from you it triggers my memory and i am reminded that i am going to bless you press down and shaken together and running over shall men give to your bosom when you come down that aisle and you've got that tithe and offerings in your hands you've got an odor and when you drop it in that container it triggers god's memory and he said i'll open up the windows of heaven and i'll pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it now remember remember tonight remember remember tonight remember sacrifices just don't go one way he said i have received this odor i have received this sweet smell from you i have received this sacrifice from you i have received it it's an odor it's a sweet smell it's a sacrifice well pleasing to god that is verse number 18. notice i told you that sacrifices are not one way because look at verse number 19. this verse number 19 is written to the ones that sent the offering it was written to the ones that sent the odor it was written to the ones that sent the offering but my god shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by christ jesus he said i thank you for the offering you sent me i thank you for the odor you sent me i thank you for the sacrifice you sent me you could have bought other things but you were more concerned with the gospel you could have done other things you could have bought other things you could have had a new suit you could have had a new vest or knew that but you decided that you needed the work of god to prosper and it doesn't just go one way i hope you're hearing this tonight i hope i i hope you're not dismissing because i'm talking about money because i'm here to tell you that when you give and like god's word says for you to give and you bring that offering it turns into a sweet odor and when you put it in that container you trigger god's memory and he says but my god shall supply all of your need according to his riches come on praise him with me tonight sacrifice sacrifice not sacrifice now let me help us tonight let me help us tonight it will be a sacrifice to pray but you don't need just to pray when your life is in a dilemma it will be a sacrifice to give but you just don't need to give when your finances are in a dilemma i've heard people say well you know what man i'm really upside down right now i better write a check more likely you wouldn't be upside down if you'd been writing checks you know they tell me they tell me and i may not get it all exactly correct and and you can correct me tonight after church after i'm done preaching in private but first degree murder is premeditated you planned it you loaded the gun you drove across town you planned it premeditated you loaded the gun you took the gun with you went across town you walked in the room you shot and killed the person you get convicted of first degree murder because it was premeditated it was planned you went there for the purpose of killing the person now second degree is when emotions get in the way all right you really didn't you really didn't mean to do it there was emotion emotions got in the way it wasn't necessarily planned and premeditated it just kind of happened that second degree and then there's something called involuntary manslaughter all right and that's just where you have taken a life maybe through negligence you you have taken a life now i want you to know tonight that i am about to preach about a woman that is guilty and i hope all of us will always want to be guilty of this a first degree worship first degree worship premeditated planned on it didn't get here and they sang my right song and the chemistry just got right and i thought about mama's grave and i thought about all kinds of things and i got emotionally moved and i got to worshiping god i want to be guilty by the period of premeditated plan worship i came here with the praise in my heart if you saw me leap for joy to not that's because i planned it before i ever got here it was premeditated i thought about it before i left the house i thought it's glad when they said unto me let us go into the house of the lord i knew i was gonna do it i knew i was gonna dance i knew i was gonna leap i knew i was gonna clap my hands i knew i was going to shout thank you jesus and i'm not one bit surprised that i leave here without a voice because i planned on giving him god i planned on giving him my voice oh god i want to be guilty of first degree worship i want to be guilty of worship in the first degree and i want to be sentenced to eternal life with jesus christ i want to be guilty of worship i don't want to be guilty of second-degree worship you may be seated i don't want to be guilty of second-degree worship i just kind of got here and and this kind of happened and and and and you said no and i sure don't want to be guilty of involuntary somebody said but i tell you what i did i ran down there and got that man's hand and made him run with me yeah he just committed involuntary worship well i went down there and got their hands lifted i went down there yeah you know what they did they just committed involuntary worship and you're never sentenced long when it's involuntary sentence me to life i want to commit first degree premeditated plan worship our god is worthy of sacrifice i want to do whatever i have to do i want to do whatever i have to do to see the work of god prosper i want to do whatever i have to do to see my church grow i want to do whatever i have to do just see the thing i want 100 see if you don't think this lady is guilty of first-degree worship matthew chapter 26 verse 6 matthew 26 verse 6 now when jesus was in bethany in the house of simon the leper there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box there came don't don't lose this now there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box sounds premeditated to me there came unto him a woman having an alabaster box a very precious ointment and poured it on his head as he said it meet when his disciples saw it they had indignation saying to what purpose is this waste for this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor when jesus understood it he said unto them why trouble ye the woman for she hath brought a good work upon me for you have the poor always with you but me you have not always for in that she hath poured this ointment on my body she did it for my burial now look at the long lasting effects verily i say unto you wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world this also also this that this woman hath done shall be told for a memorial of her she came to that place with the premeditated plan she was in her house and she thought oh he's everything he's everything to me he's my father my mother my sister and my brother he's everything to me i wouldn't have life if it wasn't for jesus i wouldn't have anything that i've got if it wasn't for jesus come on church help me tonight you've got to understand you are blessed because you have kept him at the forefront of your your life some of you wouldn't be driving cars you're driving tonight if it wasn't for jesus you wouldn't be wearing clothes you're wearing tonight if it wasn't for jesus you wouldn't be having what you have tonight if it wasn't for jesus man i'm not a fool i know enough to say amen to all of that i wouldn't have nothing like i've got tonight if it wasn't for my lamb of god so when it comes time to worship him i'm going to look around my house and i got to say he's everything to me he's my father my brother my sister and my mother he's my alpha my omega he's my bride in the morning star he's my doctor he's my lawyer he's my savior he's my counselor i dare not sit on on my hands tonight i'm gonna give him some praise in this house i'm going to give him a shout out hallelujah because he's everything to me he's just everything to me he's just everything he does everything to me he just everything to me that woman that woman's in the mirror getting all gussied up you know she getting all ready to come worship him and she began to think he's just everything to me he's everything he's everything to me he's everything he's everything to me and she looked over and she saw uh that's the alabaster box a very costly expensive ointment and she said she looked at she said oh wouldn't it be wonderful if i walked into that house and i just took this ointment and i just poured it out on his head wouldn't it just be wonderful if i took this expensive fragrance if i put what is expensive in my house and i poured it all over jesus then jesus takes what's expensive in my house and it takes it every place and she reached and got that alabaster box she planned on it she didn't walk in and say jesus if you don't mind i'd like to pour this oil on your head she didn't walk in she didn't walk in and say jesus when it's appropriate i'd like to pour this oil on your head don't ever pray so people can think you're something spiritual you just received your reward what people think you're spiritual whoopi doo boy is it that a paycheck to take home they think i'm go a long way and then there's fasting oh boy some of you said i wish you'd quit when you had us on our feet there's fasting there's some things that we have in our lives that will only be moved by fasting by fasting they asked jesus about a demon-possessed boy why we cannot cast him out of which jesus responded because of your unbelief but this kind go without but by prayer and fasting you said well women is it unbelief or prayer and fasting that kept them from casting out it is the unbelief it is the it is the lack of the belief that only fasting can produce god sees you when you fast i said god sees you when you fast god sees that you're hungry god sees god knows god made you with an appetite god knows you're hungry but god also sees you sacrificing for the purpose of having some spiritual benefit in your life we have five wednesdays and just go on the journey with me we have five wednesdays left before our very first movement conference we have five wednesdays and as the pastor of this church i'm going to designate the next five wednesdays to fast wednesdays i want the power of god to be upon this movement conference i want this conference to be a ripple effect like throwing a pebble in a pond and the ripple effects goes all the way to the shore i want what's going to happen here on the last day of august and the first two days of september to have a ripple effect throughout the kingdom of god i want churches to be challenged i want churches to come alive i want ministries to be birthed i want the kingdom of god to go forth can i tell you we got all the technology down can i tell you we got the music down we are a well-oiled machine from the fit department all the way through the tech team they're calling they're calling this church and i'm not bragging tonight it's just a fact some of the most uh respected cutting-edge churches in the pentecostal movement are coming here to see what's going on in our tech department the pentecostals of alexandria brother mangan's church sent a van load of men up here to look at what and what was going on a few months ago in the in the pentecostal herald the the the the magazine for the united pentecostal church had a picture of our uh uh room up there and and and how people are reaching out in in this day but can i tell you something we got to have more to offer than just a good choir and a good program of small groups and a good fit department and a good tech department and a good song department we got to have more to offer than that we've got to have the presence of god in this weeks it didn't happen over six months and it didn't happen over a year you know what you're looking at right here you're looking at several years of somebody that said i'm not eating today come on can i ask some of you tonight what's it worth for your child to come back to god you understand what i'm saying tonight i said what would it be worse some of you got children not serving god what would it be worth this is standing here because a baby sister says i'll not eat on wednesdays and for two years she said man that's a long time she's here i said she's here isn't that really what matters is she's here god is no respecter of persons i believe if you got a lost child here that if you would commit to fast if you would commit to prayer i know god would hear you and i know god would speak to your lost child now whether they say yes to it or not is their choosing but i'd rather find out on the other side that god dealt with them and they said no then for god to look at me and say i would have touched them if you would have prayed what's it worth to you let's just get real here for a moment go ahead he's got a brother he's saying he's got a brother what's it worth to you you got children that are not serving god would it be worth you making a commitment i i'm gonna miss a meal a week and when i know it's my day and i'm not eating god's looking down and says she's going to happen but if we can pray and fast god will give us a faith that we can look at them all wrapped up in chains and say god's going to change them god's going to get a hold of their heart god's
