you have your Bibles and would stand with me tonight John chapter 11 verse number one with no false pretense you all are awesome people you're an awesome church you're awesome people it's no false pretense I'm not saying anything to get in good with you I think I'm already into good all right and I'm not I'm doing I'm just telling you I left today and drove to Sevierville and I said Lord after that long message this morning ain't nobody gonna come back tonight but I had to get something out of my system this morning I had to tell God's people to have faith to have faith and thank you you're awesome I personally would walk across the street to hear me preach I thank y'all for coming thank you all for coming thank you thank you all for coming faithfully week after week you all are awesome every last one of you is awesome he's not a bad one in the house every last one of you is awesome I tell you what I'm gonna preach long but you wouldn't believe me yeah I love y'all now a certain man was sick named Lazarus of Bethany the town of Mary and his sister Martha it was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair whose brother Lazarus was sick therefore his sister sent unto him saying Lord behold he whom thou lovest is sick when Jesus heard that he said this sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God this sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God now the Son of God might be glorified thereby now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus when he had heard therefore that he was sick he abode two days they say two days he abode how many days two days still in the same place where he was for a few moments tonight I want to preach on the subject the mystery of the 48 hours the mystery of the 48 hours father I love you I thank you tonight for the uplifted song thank you tonight for the walking miracle that came thank you tonight for the spirit of the church that is one of the tour it victory thank you tonight brother Fallon's gonna baptize two souls in your name oh my dad I will say thank you for your spirit that hovers over us right now I know I just served it tonight to do what I was called to do to preach to your people Jesus name and by said amen you may be seated there was once a fellow who witnessed with his dad farmed a little piece of land several times a year they would load up the old ox drawn cart with vegetables and go into the nearest city to sell their produce except for their name and the patch of ground father and son had little in common the old man believed and taken it easy the boy was usually in a hurry the go-getter type one morning very early they hitched up the old the Ox to the loaded cart and started on their long journey the son figured if they walk faster kept going all day and night then make the market by early the next morning so he kept prodding the Ox with a stick urging the beast to go faster to go faster take it easy son said the old man you'll last longer if you learn how to take it easy but if we get to the market ahead of the others we'll have a better chance of getting good food prices argued the Sun for hours and for miles down the road they came to a little house the father smiled and said here's your uncle's place let's stop in and say hello but we've lost an hour already papa we've lost an hour already then a few minutes more won't matter my brother and I live so close yet we see each other only seldom the father answered slowly the boy was fidgety and feud while the two old men left and talked an hour away on the move again the man took his turn leading the odds as they approached a fork in the road the father led the Ox to the right the left is a shorter leg said the son I know it replied the old man but this way is much prettier have you no respect for time the young man shouted oh I respect it very much that's why I like to use it to look at beauty and enjoy every moment to the fullest the winding path led through graceful Meadows wildflowers and along a rippling stream all of which the young man missed as he turn then boiling with anxiety he didn't even notice how lovely the sunset was that day Twilight fell upon them and what looked like a huge colorful garden the old man breathed in the aroma listening to the babbling brook and pulled the Ox to a halt let's sleep here he sighed this is the last trip I'm making with you snap the Sun you're more interested in watching sunsets and smelling flowers than making money Wow that's the nicest thing you've said to me in a long time boy a couple of minutes later the old man was snoring and asked his boy glared back at the stars the night dragged on slowly the Sun was restless before sunrise the young man shook his father awake they hitched up and went on about a mile down the road they happened upon another farmer a total stranger trying to pull his cart out of the ditch let's give him a hand whispered the old man lose more time the boy exploded relax son you might be you might be in the ditch sometime yourself we need to help others in need don't forget that the boy looked away in anger it was almost 8 o'clock that morning by the time the other cart was back on the road suddenly overhead they saw a great flash of light split the sight the sky what sounded like thunder followed beyond the hills the sky drew dark looks like a big rain in the city said the old man if we had hurried we'd almost be sold out by now grumbled the son take it easy boy you'll last longer and you'll enjoy life so much or counseled the old gentleman he was late afternoon by the time they got to the hill which was overlooking the city they stopped and stared down at it for a long time neither of them said a word finally the young man put his hand on his father's shoulder and said I see what you mean dad they turned their cart around and begin to row slowly away from what had once been the city of Hiroshima that had been destroyed by an atomic bomb you see there's some things in life that delays have meaning that sometimes in life when things do not go as fast as we want them to go God has a master plan there's ever been one thing that we need more of we need more patience we hear a lot preached in this church but I wonder when's the last time we've heard a good message own patience well just how important is patience in Luke chapter 21 verse number 19 Jesus had been talking about the end of time something that you and I are coming up upon the end of time he started talking about nations being against nations he started talking about the signs of the end of the world the signs of the end of time and then he capped it off by simply saying in your patience possess ye your souls the ability to be able to wait on God the ability the ability to be able to stand and wait upon God Romans 5 and verse number three tells us that tribulation worketh patience that it is trouble that has a way of developing good godly traits in you and I if we understand the value of patience why in Revelation chapter 1 in verse number 9 as John introduced himself there John the Revelator he introduced himself that he belong that he was a fellow companion in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ now I know tonight this may not be an hour running message but it will be a message that will help you walk on streets of God there's something about having the ability to wait we must develop this patience in God for tonight I am not just waiting but I am waiting on the Lord Joe be stricken with boils from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet he has lost everything that he owns he has lost children livestock he's lost it all but in job 14 and 14 job made his statement he said all the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change colors see even job had the ability with losing everything that he had he understood that what he had wasn't who he was it was God that made him who he was not what he had it wasn't his livestock that made him job it wasn't his cattle that made him job he wasn't made him joke he wasn't his wealth that made him job joke knew one thing it's God that has made Joba and said I'm just waiting on the Lord for my chain he would be the psalmist and Psalms 27 14 it would say these words wait on the Lord be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart wait I say on the Lord in their last of the waiting scriptures of which there could be many more we can bow quote Isaiah chapter 40 and verse number 31 can we not but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as Eagles you see that Eagle goes through the process gets wings get dulled storms have blowed a few feathers off he's not fly he's not flying as high as he used to he's not as sharp in his 10 turns as he Houston but the old Eagle doesn't give up because he knows where comes of season then he's going to disappear for a little while and he's going to shed all of those feathers but he's not going to lose those feathers he's going to grow new ones and he's going to mount up with brand new wings I've come to preach to somebody tonight then what you need to understand that your touch is not going to be an instant touch it's not gonna be a flash touch it's going to be a touch that you just said I'm going to wait upon the Lord if he doesn't come to I'll be here tomorrow if it doesn't come tomorrow I'll be here Tuesday it because I'm doing this nature mode they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as Eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint Jesus had something better than a healing see we got to realize something whenever we're waiting on God there's something better coming hey something better coming anytime we're waiting on God you hear me I want to preach to you anytime you're waiting on God you're waiting on something better to come Bible said they sent for Jesus they sent for Jesus and it's very close family Mary Martha and Lazarus and Jesus seemed to be the type that you would always go after church and find them always go after church and find Mary Martha Lazarus and Jesus they was always done at Calhoun's eating together after church David you'd always see them together if they had a global grounds coffee shop like we knew you'd walk in there and Martha get in there first Martha would pull three more chairs up she'd they this is for my sister Mary that was for my brother Lazarus and that one there's for Jesus when scripture tells us that we're close to matter of fact when Mary and Martha sent the Lord the prayer request they said he whom thou lovest is sick the one you love is sick he received the request he received the request but then there's a mystery he allowed 48 powers to kick by before he ever made a move and then he waited 48 hours and then it goes down and says now for the verse before that now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus verse 5 well man that's a strange way to show love isn't it he whom thou lovest is sick jump up in a hurry grab your bags you didn't get in a hurry come on I got to get down here the mystery of the 48 hours listen that he had something better for Lazarus Mary and Martha after 48 hours went by he said in verse 7 let us know to Judea again let us go his disciples were clueless of the timeline they said master they have threatened to kill you in Judea Jesus had to give him a little lesson about walking while there's the day walk while it's daytime and not in the 90 he gave him a little lesson and then in verse number 11 if he would go to John 11:11 these things said he and after that he said unto them our friend Lazarus sleepeth but I go that I may awake him out of his sleep you see sometimes the mystery of the 48 hours we need a little we need a little adjustment we need some alignment they said Lord if he is sleeping he must be doing well Jesus had to say plainly in John 11 14 jesus said unto them plainly Lazarus is dead and I am glad Lazarus is dead and I am glad for your sakes and I was not there to the intent you may believe nevertheless let us go unto him there's a strange way to treat somebody that you love sometimes when we're asking yah God I've been going to church Lord I've been praising your name Lord I've been tiling I've been being faithful God is this how you treat me I seem not to be able to get a prayer answered I seem not to be able to get you to answer me can I tell you tonight that if you're in the mystery of the 48 hours you need to wait upon the Lord because he's got something much better that's coming your way then once you step forward he comes all the way down to the house and as he comes to the house the Bible said in verse 17 Jesus came and found that he had already been laid in the grave for days now the reason that he laid in the grave for days was that the Lord wanted to remove all doubt that he was in any type of a coma he wanted to remove all now that he really wasn't dead and so he waited to four days because it was on the fourth day that the body become begins to decompose the body begins to literally rot you remember with me when we get to the part of the story where he said roll the stone away what was their one concern Lord by now he's thinking that was why he waited so long he was wanting to wait so long that when he did the work and laugh versus life that there would be absolutely no question about whether it was a god thing or not brother Fallon I know that you already know this but let me just tell you you'll find in the ministry there'll be a lot of 48-hour seasons of your life there'll be a lot of seasons of 48 hours that you've sent your requests to God you have fasted you have prayed you have given you have worked you have toiled only to look down the road that is empty and a Lazarus that is dead but be of good cheer Church believed in the Lord trust in the Lord wait upon the Lord because if you just keep serving him even when he's not answered if you just keep serving him even when you've not got your way I promise you he'll eventually walk down that road but he's got something much much he comes walking into town comes walking in the tail verse 18 says now Bethany was not under Jerusalem furlongs long off many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary to comfort them concerning their brother then Martha as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming went and met him but Mary said still in the house is it that's something I believe we got a little issue going on here I believe we got two sisters it's got a bad spirit I really do at the very least they're too disappointed sisters have been disappointed come on now have been disappointed they had enough faith to send for Jesus but now Lazarus is dead Martha hears that he's coming Mary does to the Mary sets in the house Martha goes out and greets Jesus verse 21 then said Martha unto Jesus Lord if thou have been here my brother had not died nobody will show you something here many times our disappointment in God ends our relationship with God anytime our disappointment with God is our relationship with God not that we don't know God it's that we just don't want to go further because after all we've tried she came out Lord if you had been here really how do you follow Jesus any father if you believe me somebody that had the power to heal your brother but he didn't show up I mean what excuse do you give how do you keep going on how do you set out at dinner with an empty Lazarus chair and talk to Mary and Martha when they're thinking he could have healed our brother he could have done this he could have done that church tonight let's your pastor preach to you that sometimes you sin for your Lazarus and God gives you 48 hours but listen he gives you that 48 hours because his ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts his ways are higher above our ways if God has me in a 48-hour mystery I'm just gonna set back put my napkin in my collar get my utensils out and same buddy God we're about to eat a good meal because I'm waiting you'd been here you'd have been here my brother would not have died then jesus saith unto her thy brother shall rise again Martha saith unto him I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day jesus saith unto her I am the resurrection and the life he that believeth in me though he were dead yet shall he live whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die do you believe this she said Thunder him yay Lord I believe that thou art the Christ the Son of God which should come into the world let me tell what she just said he just said if you believe your brother to live again and she just turned around avoided answering the question and she just said I know you're the son of God he didn't say it but I think he was thinking it that's not what I asked you you ever ask somebody a question and you know they're avoiding telling you what you've asked and you've had to say daughter son that's not what I asked you I asked you did you believe that your brother can live again do you believe that what has been put in the tomb of your 48 hours can live again I do I've been tempted to put things in the tune I've been tempted because God didn't come on my time table God didn't come the way I thought he ought to come while surely the Lord should give us a Holy Ghost move I fasted three days surely God should move Sunday morning I prayed an hour a day all week long only to go to Sunday and it'd be more spiritually found than the Sunday morning before then but you don't give up on God you don't give up on God you just say God we must gonna have a barn burning revival because you've done put me off 48 hours there's something good gonna come our way because it's the mystery leave your brother can live again well I believe you're the Son of God and when she had said so she went her way called marry her sister secretly saying the master has come and color for me as soon as she had heard that she arose quickly and came unto Him now Jesus have not yet coming to the town but was in a place where Martha met him the Jews then which were with her in the house and comforted her when they saw Mary that she rose up hastily and went out followed her saying she'd go up into the grave to weep there then when Mary was come where Jesus was and saw him she fell down at his feet saying unto Him Lord if you had been here my brother had not died Sal thought Mary and Martha had been talking they men sound like they had been talking she has the same spirit if you had been here relationships over we sent for you you waited 48 hours relationship is over when Jesus therefore saw her weeping and the Jews also weeping which came with her he groaned in the spirit that's important to know he groaned in the spirit and was troubled and said where have you laid him then then said they unto Him Lord come and see Jesus wept shortest verse in the Bible jesus wept then said the Jews behold how he loved him some of them said could not this man which open the eyes of the blind have caused that even this man should not have died Jesus therefore again groaning in himself coming to the grand it was a cave and a stone was laid upon it can I tell you the reason Jesus wept don't listen to the commentaries don't listen to the religious writers of the day they'll make a note beside that scripture and they'll say see Jesus cried at the graveside of his dear friend Lazarus showing us that he was human that he was compassion that he lost a good friend let me use a Hebrew and a Greek word baloney that's not what that means it does not glorify baloney that's not what that means you know why he was troubled hmm groaning and he began to cry Jesus began to cry because they took what he wanted to make out of the 48 hours they took a miracle and they put it in a tomb and they said they can never live in the Holy Ghost tonight I preached up people that God did not come in your 48 hours you had different dreams you had different hopes you had different anticipation but because he didn't come when you wanted him to come you put it in a cave but I've come on this Sunday night to tell you it's time to roll the stone away it's time to that cold roll the stone away Lord this stinks I've learned how to live without him I've learned how to live without it I had dreams just let me preach to you for a few moments I had dreams of getting a degree but I can't go back to school you can God says you can't this marriage has suffered so many injuries I guess I'm just doomed to be in a relationship that I'll never have any joy it is if that's the way you say it I had a calling I felt like there was a time in my life that I may have a calling to be a missionary I may have a calling to preach the gospel I may have a calling to do something great for God but some things happen the 48 hours happened and I put it in a tune can I tell you if you're in a waiting pattern keep serving God if you believe God has called you to preach keep praying keep reading your Bible keep believing God because if it's God you're gonna preach come hell or high water they're gonna preach if it's God's will for you to have certain things you keep on praising you keep on praying you keep on living right I don't care for 48 hours you keep on doing it doing it doing it doing it sister Jennifer I really did had it on my mind to talk with you before church but I'm a little bit handicapped not having my better half with me I feel like one pair of scissors I feel like Reese's in my cup is not here oh we're family Andy standing up in that sound room back there stand up wave your hands and you love God love God for a minute Andy love God for a minute that's our brother that's our brother Andy that's our brother Andy his mom and daddy mother sister Holly would you stand just for a moment just stand for a moment his mom and daddy they brought him up in church they brought Oh Andy uh thank you guys we'll see you see that you're real people they brought him up in church but Andy began to struggle and he lost his way he began to struggle but Andy had a white-headed daddy and a mama that more times than I can count it big tall why he did daddy yours but I can stand right here on this platform and look him right straight in the eye he had come and he'd say Andy he'd say pray for my boy bro carpenter pray for my boy I believe God's gonna touch you it was a wife that never give up there were two boys Jacob and Jonathan they never gave up on their day it was a family that was able to look past his faults and see what God wanted to do with thee they was a mom and daddy and a sister yes a sister and brother-in-law let the trailer how many times we get prayer requests can I tell you don't stop pray don't stop putting I don't care how lost they get don't stop pray don't stop believing don't stop testing because one day and he comes to himself trace back through to the Holy Ghost is one of the finest sound men in all the Pentecost oh I'm glad Jennifer we didn't quit praying I'm glad Jacob and Jonathan we didn't quit praying I'm glad what it's in to Holland we didn't quit praying wait on the Lord wait on the Lord and again I say wait you're building this church for the period and then what I call the eternal building program we building this church and this little fireball of a preacher comes him and his wife driving 70 miles Wenzel's bring his car full of people brother Erickson came to me everybody that used to come up here from severe ones I mean from Cleveland stand right now stand right yeah yeah yeah I married y'all get up yeah oh yeah that's right that's right they were faithful people you maybe see that they were faithful people here we're in this building program mother--the are we robbing Peter to pay Paul and hiding it from James and John I'm telling you ever ever dime I'm a dime man here come brother Eric's and a brother Fallon we feel like God wants us to start a church in Cleveland we feel like God and here we're trying to pay forever to before it I'm just bein um being transparent we're trying to pay forever to before coming in here man I said when you won't start that church he's I story right now if you'll let me I said brother Fallon it's the truth I see would you wait till we get in the new auditorium would you wait I said right now we robbing Peter to pay Paul hiding from James and John we need every dime coming into this church right now and you gonna take four or five families with you I said sir would you wait and you know what he said yes certainly that's what he said yes sir you know I don't believe that they'd be besties the scenes right now if he just said lend me a broke arm I'm not gonna wait on you I'm not gonna be subject to pastoral Authority wait a member and then say these people made chipwrecked of their lives because they've gotten out from under pesto Authority I don't claim to be any great great one but I'm telling you I do hold an office that if you get under the umbrella of a man of God let him pray over your life let him give you good direction got a legion and God will bless you the hell would you just wait would you just wait and Buddy come the grand opening of this church I think we opened her up and uh October and Betty on January 1st he had his church going he was going it was and God has been blessing it there's an anointing there he's got two people tonight that are coming to be baptized now you know why I just told that I told that because one of these days they some of you men here from Cleveland tonight that God's going to lay on your heart to go do something for God and what you need to do is learn how to wait like your pastor needed you to learn how to come to the pastor and say brother brother pastor Fallon God's leading me down here to head a wall to start a church and if he says you need the way you need to do like your pastor and you didn't sneak just say I'm going to wait on God I know I need to I know I think I need to go right now I know I think I need to go do this right now but brothers and sisters we need to learn how to wait upon God we need to learn to keep doing what we've always wait on the Lord there's power in waiting it's a matter of fact in 1st Samuel chapter 13 something happened in 1st Samuel chapter 13 verse number 8 something terrible happened Samuel the man of God told Saul I'll be at Gilgal in seven days the Bible says and he tarried seven days according to the set time that Samuel had appointed but Samuel came not Gilgal and the people were scattered from him and saw said bring hither a burnt offering to me and peace offerings and he offered the burnt offering and it came to pass that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering behold Samuel came so went out to meet him that he might soluti Samuel said what hast thou done and Saul said because I saw that the people were scattered from me and that thou camus not within the days appointed and that the Philistines were gathered to get themselves together at michmash therefore said I the Philistines will come down upon me to gilgul and I have not made supplication unto the Lord I forced myself and offered a burnt offering ELISA Venus now he waited he waited he offered the sacrifice give this time line he waited he offered the sacrifice got out of the will of God he was not the will of God for Saul to offer up sacrifices that was for the man of God he offered the sacrifice at the end of the sacrifice samuel comes with a rebuke and Samuel said to Saul thou has done foolishly thou has not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God which he commanded thee for now with the Lord have established the kingdom upon Israel forever but now my kingdom shall not continue the Lord has sought him a man after his own heart and the Lord had commanded him to be the captain over his people because thou has not kept that which the LORD commanded saw lost his kingship over one worship time we are one worship over gaining our miracle are losing our miracle and again we are one worship over gaining our miracle are losing our miracle wait Church be patient Church trust God Church keep praying for your backslidden children keep praying for you grandchildren keep praying keep believing keep coming keep trusting keep waiting because the mystery of the 48 hours is that God's got something better for you and your one musicians would you come Church would you lift your hands up right now and just pray for a moment wait on the Lord wait on the Lord oh come on wait on the Lord come on he may not come when you're wanting but he's always right on time God may not come when you want him there are times when flights to the west coast are hundreds of dollars cheaper if you fly out of Nashville you could save some times I've saved as much as five six hundred dollars just driving three hours it's well worth it to me just traveling when you drive over there you're gonna be going three or four days you parked your car in economy parking they have a trolley that runs they have a trolley that runs there's a sign I'm sitting there one day and I was getting tempted because the trolley wasn't running and I was running late so I got tempted to start walking in the direction of where the trolleys come from until it's sign caught my attention it said this bus will run every 15 minutes do not expect to be picked up between bus stops this charlie only stops at the bus stop you know too many times we're like that with God aren't we we're sitting in a place that we know God answers this morning I was flooded with people brother Thor came and he told me he said in the spirit this morning he said you prayed three times in the name of Jesus and he said I literally saw in the spirit like a sonic wave go across this church God's power and his lovely wife Rifa begin to share with me uh just just a miracle that happened with her daughter couldn't hardly get out of here this little people stopping me telling me but the carbon God give me this metal look up your folks this is our bus stop God will run he will stop right here in these are don't get discouraged and think oh it don't work for me if you do your one prayer away from getting your miracle or your one prayer away from the loosing your miracles right here I wish that bus would hurry up and run I know that says it's gonna run every 15 minutes I really didn't look at my watch know I've been sitting here a half hours so let me get my bags and start walking and can I tell you brother Joel and Becca will you come back if I tell you what I did one time started walking to find that trolley and I was about a hundred yards from that bus stop and I watched that trolley man come up through here I put the best Billy McCool smile I had Oh so-and-so I'm gonna be late getting out there this week I just stayed good but how many of us here if stopped coming to the bus stop because he just didn't come when we wanted him to get up wake up boy what is it daddy it's time to carry you down to the temple dad I've been going down to the temple every day of my life I can't remember a time that I wasn't sitting at the gate at the temple called beautiful from a little boy born crippled parents carried him every day oh thank God for parents that bring their children faithful in service every day they brought their little crippled boy down to the gate beautiful put a cup in his hand years went by but you see one day with God is worth a thousand one day in God is worth a thousand don't look at how many times you prayed anything they answer the one time he answers makes up for all the time that you didn't get an answer you just stand with me for the falen on that one day here you go boy daddy will be back later on this afternoon to pick you up sitting down but that wasn't going to be the day that a man called Peter and a man called John was making their way to the temple and they said silver and gold have we known such as I have give out the other name of Jesus rise up and walk boy you complained about going to the temple every day your life but no more I'll ever be thankful that I was at the one place she comes your eyes and pray with me for a moment come on close your eyes and pray with me all over this way wait on the Lord wait on the Lord wait on the Lord wait on the Lord we don't Worr wait on the Lord wait on the Lord wait on the Lord some of you to not have grandchildren that have literally ripped your heart out of your chest wait on the Lord wait on the Lord wait on the Lord we got children we have to take sleep late at night to get any kind of peace of mind the wait on the Lord grandma wait on the Lord the Lord runs here the Lord runs here and the Lord runs here won't pray with me right now I'll pray with me right now anybody want to come down to the soldier tonight - God let me find me a place in the altar tonight mama needs to be saved daddy needs to be saved brother needs to be saying sister needs to be safe come on is there
