well let's go immediately to the word of the lord and the book of jude the book of jude which is the last book before the book of revelation the book of jude and it's only one chapter so i'll say jude chapter 1 or jude verse 3 jude verse 3 beloved when i gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints now go to verse number 20. but ye beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith praying in the holy ghost praying in the holy ghost i want to minister tonight a bible lesson entitled the need in this hour the need the need in this hour join me in prayer right now father i love you father i praise you father we're built on your word tonight lord your word brings faith and faith brings victory lord jesus to not help me to feed your sheep that are here help me to feed those that are watching online tonight lord bind us together and keep us in one mind one purpose lord i love you and i praise you and i thank you in jesus name we pray amen and amen you may be seated tonight i do want before i begin my bible lesson this evening there may be some of you that are watching online that may say well brother carpenter we didn't have prayer we didn't have prayer service tonight brother erickson went right into the offering and and brother carpenter please remember us in prayer well i have started something that i'm doing in this season and that is at seven o'clock tonight it was at 7 00 30 minutes before the service sunday morning will be 9 30 sunday night will be 5 30. we're having an online prayer service last about 20 minutes or so and tonight uh we prayed started at 7 and we prayed the word we prayed the word of god we quoted scripture then we claimed scripture and we called names out and we are believing god that god heard our prayer and that god will answer god will answer our prayer amen god heard our prayer and god will answer our prayer the need in this hour i think that's a title that's got your attention because i believe that there's a lot of people that are asking right now what's going on i believe there's a lot of people right now uh that are that are wondering you know uh as christians what do we do what's going on and so i want you to know that the need in this hour the need in this hour is the holy ghost the need in this hour is the holy ghost now when i say that please don't just let that run by you because you cannot be born again without the holy ghost you cannot make it in the rapture without the holy ghost you can't be led between the new birth and the rapture you cannot be led to an overcoming life without the holy ghost without the holy ghost and if this season is going to teach us anything and i do believe that in every season that we're in that we ought to seek god for what is referred to as a teaching moment a teaching moment sister carpenter is uh in my mind she is the the world's best at coming up on situations when raising our children she was very best when i would see a certain thing she would say honey this is a teaching moment this is a moment that we can teach them when i when i was ready for uh spanking she she wasn't saying that they wasn't gonna get a spanking but it's gonna be a teaching moment amen and she was always looking for that that moment of teaching this season that we're in right now church we need to be looking for a teaching moment god god what are what what would you want to teach us in this moment and i can share it with you tonight what god is teaching me is just how much we need the holy ghost just how much we need the holy ghost i began to look in the book of jude and jude was getting ready to write on on a topic but when he saw the condition of the church when he saw the church what the church was being attacked and he saw how that the church was really falling falling into pray and the church was being ignorant about some things that was coming in the church he said i was going to ride unto you of the common salvation but then i found it needful to sound an alarm i found it needful to sound a trumpet and to tell us all that we need to earnestly contend that's a fighting word earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints you do know that the apostle paul hours at the most days away from the chop block going to have his head severed from his body for the testimony of jesus christ he said i have run the race i have finished my course i have kept the faith i have fought a good fight and then he talked about what the fight was over he talked about what the race was over and he said i have kept the faith i have kept the faith in this season that we're in what the enemy would like to shake out of us is our faith in god so we have got to follow the words of the apostle jude who said that we need to earnestly contend for the faith now please no crown is going to be given on judgment day to a pretender of the faith but to a contender of the faith and then between verses 3 and verse number 20 talks about everything going everything trying to seep into the church everything trying to distract and he comes to verse 20 and he says but ye beloved now i'm talking to the church but ye beloved building up yourselves on your most holy faith building up yourselves on your most holy faith are we not in a season that things are trying to tear us down we are in a season that the enemy's trying everything he can to tear you up and tear you down he's trying everything that he can to tear down structure tear down long-held morals and values he's trying to tear down everything but jude says don't let him tear you down it's time to be building yourself up it's time to be building it's time to be building yourself up somebody said are we going to get through this i got news for you we're not only going to get through this but we're going to be better on the other side we're going to be better on as a church come on can't we clap just a little bit better now i said we're going to be better on the other side we're going to come through this brother men we're going to come through this we're not only going to come through this but we're going to come through this better building up yourselves on your most holy faith on your most holy faith i am going to build myself up standing on my most holy faith i'm going to be building i'm standing on my faith in god and i'm building myself up how praying in the holy ghost praying in the holy ghost well i begin to to think i'd just dive right into praying in the holy ghost and it always dawns on me that when i teach or preach that i am addressing people at different levels in their spiritual development i am obviously tonight ministering to people that have the baptism of the holy ghost but you do realize such as sunday night there was a young man here sunday night that came here at six a clock for service without the holy ghost and he left about eight o'clock sunday night with the holy ghost so we we we have to understand as a church and pastor that i'm not only addressing people that have the holy ghost but there are people here tonight that possibly you've never received the gift of the holy ghost and why you never heard of it you never heard of it it was never presented to you well i want to i want to take although the person here tonight that doesn't have the holy ghost might be in the minority but they're worth teaching them the word tonight did jesus not say he would leave the 90-9 and go for the which one just for the one for a few moments tonight i want to go to the one that may be here tonight said well i've never received i've never received the holy ghost go with me to the gospel of john chapter number three john chapter number three and verse number one there was a man of the pharisees named nicodemus a ruler of the jews the same came to jesus by night and said unto him rabbi we know that thou art a teacher come from god for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except god be with him jesus answered and said unto him verily verily i say unto thee except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of god nicodemus saith unto him how can a man be born when he is old can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born jesus answered verily verily i say unto thee except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of god that which is born of the flesh is flesh that which is born of the spirit is spirit now he talks about two natures here that's what we have to understand he talks jesus talks about two natures he talks about flesh and spirit to two different natures the nature of flesh and the nature of spirit and the necessity that the nature of flesh had to be reborn into the nature of the spirit so he talks about because nicodemus asked about do you are you are you referring to fleshly birth are you referring to entering into my mother's womb a second time and being reborn and jesus mentions the two natures flesh flesh and spirit flesh and spirit now hold your place there in john and turn over with me for a moment to the book of romans the book of romans chapter number chapter number eight keep in mind the two natures the nature of flesh and the nature of the spirit romans chapter number 8 and verse number 26 likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities the word infirmity there means weakness the spirit helps our infirmities this hour we're living in right now we have a lot of weaknesses don't we there's a there's a lot of there's a lot of things we don't know and there's a lot of things we do know that we have no power against but i got good news for us tonight church the spirit the spirit help of our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be out in other words he said we have a lot of infirmities we have a lot of weaknesses but the good news is we don't know how to pray against these infirmities but the spirit if you have the holy ghost if you have the spirit of god in you the spirit of god in you can pray and make utterances and the spirit of god knows how to make utterances according to the will according to the will of god the spirit of god can make those utterances according to the will the will of god so as we begin as we begin to look at these two natures at these two natures tonight the nature of the of the flesh and the nature of the spirit now stay here with me in the eighth chapter of of romans to see the how essential it is to be in the spirit romans chapter 8 verse number 8 so then they that are in the flesh cannot please god they that are in the flesh cannot please god now what this means tonight is which are we being led by are we being led by our fleshly nature or are we being led by the spirit of god paul tells us plainly in verse 8 that if we are being led by this by the flesh we cannot please god now i hope you understand how important it is to please god not only how important it is to please god but how powerful it is to please god do you know the bible tells us that when a man's ways please god that he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him when our ways please god god is able to god is able to take those who are our enemies and make them at peace with us so then they that are in the flesh cannot please god verse 9 but ye are not in the flesh but in the spirit if so be that the spirit of god dwell in you now if any man have not the spirit of god if any man have not the spirit of christ he is none of his oh my oh my that ought to cause you to really know biblically that you have the spirit of god because he said if you don't have the spirit of god you are none of his and if christ be in you the body is dead because of sin but the spirit is life because of righteousness but if the spirit now this is where we get the doctrine you must have the spirit of god to go in the rapture you must have god's spirit to go in the rapture and here it is in the scripture verse number verse number 11 but if the spirit of him that raised up jesus from the dead dwell in you if the spirit that raised up christ from the dead dwell in you he that raised up christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you look at that look at that what brought christ out of that tomb on the third day the spirit of god resurrected that corpse and brought it back to life and changed it mortal to immortality and the same thing is going to happen to us when the lord calls his church home that the same spirit that dwelt in jesus christ dwells in you then it's going to be a great awakening and a great transformation this mortal shall put on immortality praise god i want that spirit to dwell in i want that spirit to dwell in me verse 12 therefore brethren we are debtors we are debtors not to the flesh to live after the flesh i guess the only way i can explain that verse is you don't owe your flesh nothing you don't owe your flesh a thing don't be a deader to your flesh verse 13 for if you live after the flesh i guess that's pretty plain there in 13 isn't it if you shall live after your flesh what's going to happen to you you'll die but if ye through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live now that word mortified there comes from that we get the word murder from that word that word mortar concrete you know what we need to do we need to we need to mortar up the door where sin comes in we need to let the flesh know you're not in control of me anymore the spirit of god the holy ghost in me is in control of me i'm not going down the road that you led me before because i want to live verse 14. for as many as are led by the spirit of god they are the sons of god for you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear for you have not received again the spirit of bondage again to fear but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry abba father what kind of spirit do you have on you tonight do you have a fearful spirit or do you have a praising spirit abba father god you've got your hands on us lord god you're in control of all of this god there may be times things look out of control but god if i'm in your hand i am never out of control because i've got a different spirit in me i'm in the flesh now i've got the spirit of fear but if i'm in the spirit i've got the spirit of praise verse 16. the spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of god and if children then heirs heirs of god join heirs with christ if so be that we suffer with him now wait a minute now just because we've got the holy ghost doesn't mean we're not going to suffer just because we got the holy well brother carpenter i just thought if we were the church nobody would be sick right now wait a minute where'd you get that at what religious broadcasting system have you been watching nowhere in the bible does it say that when we get the holy ghost we won't have adversities come he says if so be that we suffer with him that we may be also glorified together he said christ suffered jesus came to this earth and suffered did he not he suffered for our sins oh praise be to his name he suffered for our sins because he suffered we reign with him if so be that we suffer with him that we may be also glorified together i want you to look at verse 18 real close for i reckon now that word reckon there means to count okay now i know us east tennessee folks use that word reckon i reckon it's going to happen all right but when paul used it it was a mathematical word to reckon to count up he said for i reckon i've been counting that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us he said what i'm going through is much better in other words what i'm going to let me say it right what i'm going to is so much better than what i'm going through what i'm going through oh it can't compare with what i'm going to keep the faith church i know the waves may get high i know it may see uncertain at times when the fever gets high and you don't have an answer and things of that nature but keep the faith in god because what we're going to is far greater than what we're going through right now oh give him praise right now in the house go back with me to jesus talking to nicodemus about being born again he says in verse number 6 john 3 and 6 that which is born of the flesh is flesh that's a fleshly nature that which is born of the spirit is spirit verse number seven marvel not that i said unto thee ye must be born again don't let it surprise you that's what that word marvel means don't be taken don't be surprised by this don't be surprised don't let this take you back marvel not that i told you you must be born again marvel not at that don't be don't be taken back by that and then listen to jesus matter of fact just underline that in your bible is it essential to be born again according to jesus it is that ye must be is pretty essential ye must be born again isn't it amazing in verse number eight he wants to give him an analogy of what being born again will be like he wants to give him an analogy being born again is like is like this all right he's giving him an analogy it's kind of like when people it's kind of like when people want you to eat a different meat like a turtle or or or deer what do they normally say it tastes like see there what are they trying to do when they when they take it come on brother carpenter this tastes like chicken all right they're trying to kind of get you ready so when jesus says he says in verse number eight the wind bloweth where it listeneth now that word listed there means where it will it just work it's got a mind of its own list of the wind bloweth where it will who tells the wind where to blow man we've come up with a lot of we've come up with a lot of clever technology but i haven't heard of one bill gates that's created an app that can control the wind you might you might harness the wind but you won't tell the wind which way to blow you you can't you can't tell the wind you're gonna blow this direction you might harness that but the wind has a mind of its own jesus said thou hearst the sound thereof but can't not tell whence it cometh and whether it goeth so is everyone that is born of the spirit he says nicodemus he says let me help you let me give you an analogy it's like the wind nobody knows which way the wind is going to blow tomorrow nobody knows that says all we know about the wind is when the wind blows it makes a noise and then he said so is everyone that is born of the spirit well i want to go now to john chapter 7 and verse number 37 i believe is the verse i want to go to it is verse number 37 john chapter 7 verse number 7. it's amazing brother erickson in these two chapters john 3 and john 7. john 3 jesus is talking to a religious man by the name of nicodemus in john 7 jesus is at a religious feast a feast john 3 a religious man john 7 a religious feast it was a feast in which the priest would come out of the temple doors and would take water and pour it on the temple steps and it had symbolic meaning of the spirit they would come and they would pour water and it would run down the temple steps it was there at this feast in john chapter 7 verse number 37 in the last day that great day of the feast jesus stood and cried saying now stop right there for a moment jesus stood and cried now that means he is getting everybody's attention they're pouring water in a little religious ceremony they've been doing it for years they've been going through a little religious ceremony for years when all of a sudden when all of a sudden somebody began to hear a voice crying out jesus stood and he cried if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink he that believeth on me as the scripture has said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water but this spake he of the spirit which they that believe on him should receive for the holy ghost was not yet given because that jesus was not yet glorified in other words he's saying here to these people there's there's there's coming a day when if you will believe and this is important you can't believe on jesus just any old way hear me you can't believe on him just any other way you've got to believe on jesus according to the scripture can't be just any old way matter of fact paul even addressed this he said there are those that cometh and preacheth another jesus and you have received another spirit you know who that other jesus was a jesus that did not match up with the scriptures a jesus that could not be backed up by the scriptures they came and preached another jesus and they received another spirit but we don't want another jesus and we don't want another jesus another spirit we want the jesus of the scripture he said he that believeth on me as the scripture has said what's going to happen out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water this spake he of the holy ghost which they that believe on him should receive but the holy ghost was not yet given because jesus was not yet glorified in other words the holy ghost hadn't been given because jesus had not died and rose again from the dead and you know what the holy ghost can't come the holy ghost couldn't come until jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead on the third day and ascended into heaven the holy ghost couldn't come until that was done and may i add this tonight you know the holy ghost still can't come today until we're willing to die out if it took the death of jesus christ for the holy ghost to come it's going to take the death of you and i for the holy ghost to come again you you've got to you you got to you got to get rid of your pride you got to get you rid of your manchoi ism you've got to get rid of miss you got to get rid that you've got it all together you've got to die out and say god i'm out of control i want you to begin to lead my life i want you to begin to lead me oh god if you want the holy ghost to come then you have to die because the holy ghost was not yet given because that jesus was not yet glorified but now turn with me to luke chapter number 24 jesus has died jesus has risen again and jesus is about to ascend into heaven he stayed some 40 days with his disciples and here in luke chapter 24 verse number 44 and he said unto them these are the words which i spake unto you while i was yet with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of moses and in this in the in and in the prophets and in the psalms concerning me then opened he their understanding the apostles he opened he opened he their understanding that they might understand the what scriptures and he said unto them thus it is written and thus it behoove christ to suffer and to raise from the dead the third day and that repentance and remission of sin should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at jerusalem and ye are witnesses of these things and behold i send the promise of my father upon you but carry ye in the city of jerusalem until you be endued that where their endued means clothed clothed with power from on high he lifted up his hands and they he led them out as far as to bethany and lifted up his hands and he blessed them it came to pass while he blessed them he was parted from them and carried up into heaven they worshipped him and returned to jerusalem with great joy and were continually in the temple praising and blessing god now follow me now and follow them jesus ascends and he tells them to go back to jerusalem go back to jerusalem and wait until you have been clothed endued with the power from on high they made their way back to jerusalem in acts chapter 1 verse number 1 continues the story the former treatise have i made o theophilus of all that jesus began both to do and teach until the day in which he was taken up is what i just read you he was taken up after that he through the holy ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs being seen of them forty days and speaking of of the things pertaining to the kingdom of god and being assembled together with them now this is what he did in luke this is what he did in luke now and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from jerusalem but wait for the promise of the father which saith he you have heard of me for john truly baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the holy ghost not many days since when they when they therefore were come together they asked of him saying lord will thou at this time restore again the kingdom to israel now no no it's just sis sister thorpe notice this with me he's telling them to go back to jerusalem and at jerusalem you're going to be filled and endued with power you're going to receive power at jerusalem now in their mind in their mind they wanted power to break the roman dominion the roman government had rule over them the roman government bowed them down in servitude and so they say back to him lord will you at this time restore again the kingdom to israel in other words is that political thing going to be broken is rome going to be broken off of us it's very interesting what jesus said to them when they wanted to get concerned with the times now please hear this it is the devil's good pleasure to distract us in this hour the world's divided we don't need to let it come in the church because we have a mission we have a mission and our mission isn't a certain man in the white house or a certain group over government branches of the government brother nolan but our mission is to lift up the name of jesus and the message of the gospel the born-again message the message that can change lives i said the message that can change lives let's don't get distracted just distracted wouldn't the devil wouldn't the devil pull out all the stops here at the end to try to distract you i'm going to tell you something he's going to fight you and i till the trumpet sounds i i mean that whichever angel is going to whichever angel is going to blow that trumpet he's going to fight you and i up to the time that that trumpet sounds and he had had no better pleasure than to get us in this last hour but let's not be distracted we need the holy ghost we need the holy ghost we need the holy ghost now more than we've ever needed the holy ghost before we need the holy we need the holy spirit follow this with me lord will you at this time restore again the kingdom to israel listen to what jesus said he said unto them it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the father hath put in his own path in other words don't get your mind on date setting don't get your mind on a a a date you know when the lord's gonna come back do you know i could announce tonight if you all come back sunday i'll tell you exactly when the lord's gonna come back when the trumpet sounds that's exactly when the lord's going to come back when the trumpet sounds now he said he said here he said keep your mind off of times and seasons that the father has put in his own don't try don't try to delve in things the father has in his own hands and he said unto them it is not for you to know the times of the season the father the father hath put in his own power but ye shall receive power after that the holy ghost has come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in jerusalem and in all judea and in samaria and unto the outermost part of the earth you know what we need to be doing right now we need to be witnesses for jesus christ there is no finer hour than the apostolic church with the with the gender dysfunction that's going on with the family disintegrating before our very eyes and the culture falling apart and the defunding of authority what finer hour than for you and i to stand out and say here is the apostolic church here we are over here look at our children look at our young people look at our families look at how joyful we are tell them about jesus christ be a witness for jesus christ don't you believe that tonight oh i believe that with all of my heart in acts chapter 2 verse number one and when the day of pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place church please help me keep unity in this hour please help me keep unity in this hour come early for prayer if you can't come early for prayer come to church praying amen if you can't get here early for prayer just come to church praying and when the first note on the piano hits get your mind on jesus get your mind on jesus and when we begin to worship him keep your mind on jesus and when brother carpenter gets up here to preach or whoever keep your mind on jesus and when we gather up around the altar keep your mind on jesus because the holy ghost came the first time when they were in one place and in one mind and the holy ghost will come again and again and again and again and again when we the church get together and get in one mind one accord one place verse two and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a russian mighty wind sound familiar sound familiar sure it does nicodemus the wind blows where it will you don't know where it comes or where it goes all you know is the sound thereof suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as a fire and it set up on each of them and they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance the 120 disciples of jesus christ was filled with the holy ghost for the very first time the holy ghost in regeneration don't get this confused god had filled people throughout the bible with the holy ghost but this is the first time he filled them with the holy ghost for the purpose of regeneration oh yes men were filled with the spirit of the old testament carved gold for the tabernacle men and women were filled with the spirit of god in the old testament and made garments for the priesthood but that wasn't like what they got on the day of pentecost when they received the holy ghost on the day of pentecost they were regenerated they were born again and they spoke in a language they spoke in a language it became a it became a outward sign throughout the book of acts that the holy ghost had come and had taken residence peter preached the gospel and in acts chapter 2 and verse number 37 now when they heard this the mockers they heard this they were pricked in their heart and said unto peter until the rest of the apostles men and brethren what shall we do then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ and we're going to do that in just a few moments for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call thank you lord thank you that that gift that was 2000 years ago that was poured out for the first time thank you lord that it's still being given today it's still being poured out today anywhere that jesus will be preached according to the scripture anywhere that people will believe on jesus according to the scripture oh praise me to god he is still pouring out his spirit the greatest need of our hour is of holy ghost let me go on for the promise promises unto you and to your children and to all there are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call and with many other words did he testify and exhort saying save yourselves from this untoward generation crooked generation that's what that really means crooked generation what kind of generation was it it was the generation that crucified jesus christ what kind of generation was it rome the government they lived in we think we think that we've got it we think that we're the first generation the roman government the roman government they had a form of abortion they sure did they sure did a child could be born and if it wasn't the sex they wanted they could simply take that child out like you'll take a bag of garbage to the curb they could take that child out and lay it on the curb and somebody will come through and sweep up the babies that's right homosexuality ran rampant sexual diseases ran rampant rome was a godless culture to be a part of but in the midst of that god said i think it's time to birth the church i think it's time to birth the church and in the midst of one of the most godless governments to ever be god said i'll birth the church on the day of pentecost and i can't help but believe as dark as this world is getting god is saying brighten up church fire up church get refilled again church don't die out church don't let it die out on your church the only way we're going to make it through this hour is the holy ghost i wish i wish i could get i just wish i could get us all on the same page with this we got to have the holy ghost we have got to have it we've got to have it current in our life we got to have it active in our lives holy god the holy ghost sister carpenter if you and megan brother wife y'all wanna go ahead go be getting ready for baptism sister carpenter had her i think her last lesson with sister megan on bad on search for truth tonight and she came down and she said i'm sorry i didn't make it out to prayer sister david she said i'm sorry i didn't make it out to prayer she said sister megan wants to be baptized in jesus name tonight can we praise him right now you need the holy ghost we need the holy ghost more than ever before would you praise him right now with me if there's ever been an hour we need the holy ghost we need the holy ghost tonight we need the holy ghost upon us tonight we do we need the holy ghost upon us tonight we need the holy ghost save yourselves save yourselves from this untoward generation save yourselves from this untoward generation please don't put your head in the sand please don't try to explain it away we are a part of a godless culture we're a part of a god i hope y'all don't get tired of hearing this because we don't need to let the culture tell us this is the norm it might be their norm but it's not our norm we are not of this world save apostolic message is just like it was on the day of pentecost when peter said save yourselves what was he saying would save you what he just told them about in acts 2 38 he's literally saying what i told you repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the gift of the holy ghost save yourselves go get get a hold of this the holy ghost because the world's gonna tear you down but do you know how to build yourself up pray in the holy ghost the bible says and i i'm not gonna i'm not gonna have time to read it i've done went over my allotted time the bible says in matthew 24 as it was in the days of noah they built they were marrying and given in marriage until the day that the flood came and took them all away luke 17 28 sing in other tongues before paul said i will pray in the spirit that's tongues and i'll pray with my understanding i will sing with the spirit and i will sing with the understanding also in other words what just happened here a few moments ago is not some kind of weird goofy stuff that pastors getting off of the great apostle paul said there's times that i pray in the spirit and one of the reasons one of the reasons that we're not really acting praying the spirit we don't understand what we're saying and we convince ourselves that it's not of much value if we don't understand it but what we got to understand if it's god speaking through us it is of great value because there's tremendous building up that begins to happen i don't know any is it would that be anybody here tonight god that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand stand therefore having your loins curt with truth having the breastplate of righteousness your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace above all taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of god look at verse 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit it's time to get our war clothes on this is war come on we're not gonna break it by having three he's saying right now because the bible says sister davis that no man understands him how be it in the spirit he speaks mysteries that's how we're going to make it through this last hour we're not
