oh thank you so very very much thank you so very much god is good isn't he so good to all of our guests here this morning church family let's put our hands together and welcome all of our guests thank you so much we hope you felt the wonderful presence the wonderful presence of the lord here and thank you thank you so much you know us preachers we kind of tell um i was going to say stories but we better not do that we kind of tell jokes that are not always biblically correct but they're jokes nonetheless and i heard a pretty good one the other day said it uh there's two men standing in line at the at the pearly gates waiting to get in to heaven and of course it was peter there that was giving admission into heaven and peter asked um that's this man said what's your name and he said my name is jeremiah jeremiah smith oh yeah yeah yeah yeah mr smith hold on just a second mr smith hold on just a second so all of a sudden the doors open and there was the the most beautiful silk robe and the shiniest crown there were shoes for him to put on and a golden sash around and and he went on in and next guy shipped up he said your name he said well my name is robert jones he said wait wait a minute mr jones and and he came out and he had a he had a burlap sack and uh an old coffee can that they had cut the end out of made a crown out of it some old sandals it looked like he had been through three wars and a famine and he said wait a minute he said how come the guy in front of me got such a nice robe and i get this burlap sack and this coffee can for a crown and these wore out sandals he said peter said well you see sir everything is determined on what you did on earth how you affected people's lives and he said i pastored a large church and you've got me all wrong i pastored a large church i was over an organization of preachers and and he said well it's like this said we've been keeping track said the man in front of you was a new york city taxi driver and said the way that he drove always made people pray in the backseat see we monitored we monitored your work and said you put people to sleep all right so uh i hope i don't get a coffee can when i go to heaven all right have your bibles and would stand with me for a few moments mark chapter 13 and verse number three how many is ready to hear the word of the lord today how many is ready to hear a relevant word from the lord mark 13 3 as he set up on the mount of olives over against the temple peter and james and john and andrew ask him privately tell us when shall these things be and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled jesus answering them begin to say take heed lest any man deceive you i want to minister for a few moments today a bible study slash preaching the pentecostal church that is my title for today the pentecostal church if there's ever been a day if there has ever been a day that the world needs a pentecostal church it's now father i love you this morning i thank you for your wonderful presence that has already kissed us today i thank you god for the things you've already done in this auditorium and those watching by way of the web lord i thank you for the healings and the deliverance i thank you for the baptisms that will take place both spirit and water today father i ask you today to help me to feed the sheep and i'll give you all the praise and all the honor in jesus wonderful name i pray amen and you may be seated jesus had told them about the end of the world and about his second coming they approached him privately and they begin to ask him would you give us some signs about the end of the world and about your second coming about the destruction of the temple in other words he began to talk to them about things they should be aware about in the last day he begins by saying in verse number 5 take heed that no man deceive you be on guard that word heed there h-e-e-d means to be alert to be on guard lest any man would deceive you be on guard for what you're hearing if i've ever if i've really ever believed i've delivered a relevant word i believe this word is very relevant to us today be on guard for what you allow yourself to hear now the reason i'm saying that is because what you hear has the great possibility and potential for what you believe that's why hearing should be filtered that's why hearing should be something that you're on guard what you allow your ears to hear because what you allow your ears to hear can become what your heart begins to believe i think you need to ask yourself a question today how much news did i watch last week how much news did i listen to last week because whichever outlet your watch you listen to more than likely it's who you believe what you believe so ask yourself the question today how much news did i watch last week how much news did i listen to last week i mean now we not we not only have satellite in our home now we got satellite in our cars we don't just have to be confined to our homes to watch our favorite news we can get right in our cars we can pick up where we left off we can get up make a cup of coffee watch the news get ready get in the car get in the car turn the same news on just keep on going how much news did you watch last week how much news did you listen to last week in your car you said well why would that be important because whatever you're listening to is what you're prone to believe but now ask yourself the question how much bible did i read last week how many scriptures did i read last week what did i read last week because i'm governing my life not by fox but by this i'm govern my life not by cnn but by this i'm governed my life by this book when i watch the news i don't mean to you say well man bro carpenter this this just rubs the cat the wrong way we'll turn the cat around then because whatever you're listening to first thing you need to ask yourself what's their agenda what's their agenda you see you may watch a certain news during the early morning hours and you may think that woman or that man there is squeaky clean but turn them on at one o'clock in the morning you may find they've got a morning language and an afternoon after midnight language got to ask yourself the question when you hear people what's their motive what's their agenda we know what the motive is of this book the motive of this book is redemption the motive of this book the bible is the best for my life you see if i ask myself the question this morning how many scriptures have i read versus how much news did i watch you see it's possible to be knowledgeable to current affairs but to be ignorant of god's word so the first thing he said in preparation praise the lord sister alice i just now saw you over there so good to see you this morning i'm i'm glad the last time we saw you we were taking you and dropping you off at the hospital over here give sister alice a hand for being in church with us today mr alice we love you do you know it's possible to be up on current affairs or at least what they tell you about current affairs but to be ignorant of god's word and the first thing he said when talking about the end of time where you and i are living right now he said i want you to be where lest you be deceived well how would i know someone is deceiving me if i don't know the truth you see it is the truth that reveals error you see i just give you this little golden nugget if you're a preacher today if you're a preacher today don't spend all your time talking about false doctrine spend your time preaching the true doctrine because the true doctrine will automatically reveal the false doctrine but the false doctrine doesn't automatically reveal the true doctrine take heed that no man deceive you for when we are ignorant of the word of god listen to me now when we are ignorant of the word of god we are defenseless against the lies of the mastermind of hell and that is satan when we are ignorant listen you can name all congress men and women you can name all the people on the supreme court you can name all the players in the nfl you can name all the players in the nba you can name all the players in the pga you can name all these different players but if you're ignorant to who the twelve apostles are if you're ignorant to the ten commandments if you're ignorant to the beatitudes you're nothing but a breeding ground for satan to bring any old lie into your life and to give you that lie the only way the only way that you can have a defense against satan is to know the word you know the first question mark in the bible let's look at him you know the first question in the bible that was ever asked was the devil genesis 3 and 1 now the serpent was more subtle than any beast in the field which the lord god had made and he said unto the woman we know it's satan yea hath god said ye shall not eat of every tree ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden question mark what's he trying to do he's trying to plant doubt about what god's word for if he can plant a seed of doubt he then injects his lie he never tries to match satan word for god's word he always has to first get you to doubt the word did god really say that is that really what god said question mark you know what we need to do every time satan puts a question mark because he's a he's a uh he's a lawyer he's a liar either which side of the seat you won't sit on he's either a lawyer or he's a liar he's a liar and every time he gives you a question mark you need to reach up and get that question mark and stretch it in to an exclamation mark it's a statement it's not to be questioned it's to be believed why do you use the same old trick on jesus himself when he came to jesus in the wilderness in matthew chapter 4 verse number 3 when he came to jesus in the wilderness listen to how the tempter came when the tempter came to him he said if thou be the son of god command these stones to be made bread do you know that every temptation that satan gave to jesus christ started with that two-letter word if why why does he start with if because if if is a seed of doubt if he can get you well i'm going to go to church to see if god will bless me i'm going to go see if this is going to go to work you don't take anything of god's word with an if there's no ifs to god's word satan and the only way that we can know that it's satan is that we've got to know the word of god why is ignorance take heed take heed lest any man deceive you why is ignorance ignorance is the breeding ground for satan to work in our lives ignorance isn't blessed ignorance becomes a breeding ground for the mold of deception to begin to grow the apostle paul addressed it in second corinthians chapter 2 verse number 11. when he said lest satan should get an advantage on us look at that word lest satan should get an advantage now if there's one thing i don't want to have happen i don't want the enemy to have an advantage on me i don't want him to have an advantage in in the in the field of boxing if one boxer i mean they measure them they weigh those boxers i mean they measure them they weigh them they measure their arm stretch and you'll hear them say you will hear them say you will hear them say he has an advantage he has an advantage on him because his arms are two inches longer than the man he's fighting which that means that this fighter has an advantage because he can measure the best of his possibility and keep himself out of the reach while having the advantage well there's one thing and i believe we'd all agree with this today by saying amen i don't want the enemy to have any advantage on my life don't even have any advantage upon my life i've got enough to deal with in my own flesh without giving the devil an upper hand in my life says we are not go ahead give the lord a hand right now we are not lest satan should get an advantage on us for we are not ignorant of his devices we are aware we are not ignorant take heed lest any man deceive you we are not ignorant of his devices what does the word device mean it means a mental perception a thought an evil purpose that which one thinks the mind the thoughts the purposes could you please tell yourself this just because i think it doesn't mean it's true could you tell yourself that just because i think this does not mean it's true but how many people are outside of the ark of safety today because they allow the device of satan to set up shop in their mind they begin to think it they begin to see it it didn't matter what color you painted the room they still looked at the room through the same deceptive device satan had on them and they found themselves far away from god church today it's the last day take heed lest anybody would deceive us take heed lest any man would deceive us not only is every thought i think not the truth everything that's told to me if it don't come out of this book everything that's told me is not necessarily automatically the truth well that's what they're saying well they could all be liars too or liars but today's millions of people today outside of the ark of god's safety will not be ready when the rapture comes because they allowed satan to set up his device the bible says about a man judas iscariot john chapter 13 verse number two and supper being ended i want you to follow real closely with pastor supper being ended the devil having now put into the heart of judas is carried simon's son to betray him you see read verse 27 with me now the same chapter john 13 27 and after the sop that was dipping the bread in in the the vinegar and the oil and after the stop satan entered into him what's the difference between john 13 2 the devil having now put into the heart in john 13 27 satan entered him satan can never enter any place that he hasn't first put a thought in see satan is a copycat satan fought a lot of satan's tactics can be compared to god's tactics because nothing changes in our life until god puts his word in us and when god you wouldn't know his spirit is the second to get to your heart the first thing that got to your heart was god's word for the promises unto you and to your children to those that are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink he that believeth on me as a scripture i said out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water this fake he of the spirit which he should give it shall come to pass in the last day saith god i'll pour out of my spirit upon all flesh sons and daughters will prophesy for the promises unto you and your children to those that are far off do you know that's what we first heard jesus said you must be born again of the water of the spirit we first had god put something in us before god moved into us so before satan could work in judas's life he had to plant something in him and when he got something planted in him then verse 27 says he entered him don't know about you but i don't want the enemy entering into anything i've got i don't want him entering into my life i don't want him entering into my marriage i don't want him entering into my children my grandchildren i don't want him entering into the church that i pastor so if i want to keep him out i've got to keep god's word coming in i've got to keep the word of god coming into my life take heed lest any man deceive you verse matthew chapter or excuse me mark chapter 13 verse number six we'll continue to read the opening text mark chapter 13 verse number 6 for many will come in my name saying i am christ and shall deceive many didn't say they'll come in their own name you know whose name they're coming in they're coming in jesus name but the only way that you're going to know if it's the true jesus or the false jesus is to know the word i don't care how many hospitals they build that's not the criteria if they come in jesus name i don't care how many good deeds they've done this is where a lot of people get to see i don't care how suave they are how tall they are how thin they are how wide their teeth they are how their vocabulary is none of that is the acid test for the word of god do they preach he said beware lest any man deceive me for many will come and this is the last days for many will come in my name saying i am christ and shall deceive many they are impostors they are impostors exodus 20 and 16 i'm gonna read very quickly for time sake exodus 2016 talks about a false witness if there can be a false witness there can be a come on if there can be a true witness there can be a god talked about a false witness jeremiah 14 14 then the lord said unto me the prophets prophesy lies in my name i sent them not neither have i commanded them neither spake unto them they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination a thing of naught and the deceit of their heart you see you got to be careful today because there's not only false witnesses there's also false prophets again jeremiah 23 20 jeremiah 23 32. behold i am against them that prophesy a false dream saith the lord and do tell them and cause my people to err by their lies and by the and by their likeness yet i sent them not nor commanded them therefore they shall not profit this people at all saith the lord listen a false prophet will tickle your feelings for the moment but don't measure that false prophet by how he made you feel in the moment measure him for how he made you feel in a month goes to the new testament matthew chapter 7 verse number 15. listen to jesus beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves how in the world can i know them i must know god's word matthew 24 24 for there shall arise false christ and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect so we don't measure what we believe by miracle because there'll be things happening if you don't know the word that could deceive the very elect paul writes in second corinthians chapter 11 verse 13 for such are false apostles wow you see this today it's why we need to know the word because there's not only false witnesses there's false prophets and there's false christs but not only that there are false apostles for such a false apostles deceitful workers transforming themselves into the apostles of christ look at this false witnesses false apostles false witnesses false prophets false apostles false christ you're boring me today i hope i'm not because you need more than a mental attitude tune up to be ready for the rapture you need to be able to quote more scriptures than just mountain be thou removed and my destiny is waiting on me you need to be able to know what a false witness is and what a false prophet is and what a false christ is and what a false apostle is oh wow well i don't know how to read galatians 2 4. man i don't know if auto read galatians 2 4 because it says and that because of false brethren unawares brought in who came in privately to spy out our liberty which we have in christ jesus that they may bring us into bondage wow there's a lot of false things god wants us to look out for could we name them again a false witness a false prophet a false christ a false apostle and a false brother and i need to be able to make sure that my fellowship is right because show me your friends and i'll show you your future show me the people you're connected with and i'll show you where you're at spiritually oh precious lamb of god i don't want to have a false witness a false prophet a false apostle a false christ and i don't want to have false brethren but you don't know how good i feel when i go to that church you don't know how good i feel when i get around that person you don't know how good i feel when i listen to my radio pastor you don't know how good i feel when i listen to my tv pastor i will tell you to beware first john 4 1 says this beloved believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of god because many false prophets are gone out into the world you need to put that spirit on trial you need to get some testimonies to see if that spirit is right i can tell you about and i want to shorten this just a little bit for time's sake but i can tell you one of the signs of the end of time is revelation chapter 16 verse number 13. i saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet for they are the spirits of devils working miracles go forth unto the kings of the earth the whole world and we have the battle of armageddon i begin to read that at the end of time these spirits that are going to go into the world are like frogs and i pondered that for a while brother camry why did the holy ghost use the analogy of frogs and the only thing in my mind i could come up with is frogs move in leaps they leap and settle they leap again and settle and the enemy of our culture the devil that's behind all this going on in the united states right now leaps settles for some time now america has been going down the drain morally and it's been one leap at a time changing the culture one leap at a time if some of our grandparents were resurrected today their jaws would fly open at what they've seen what they would see and we even stand back and we're seeing things and hey i'm sorry but i'm going to no i'm not no i'm not sorry when i walk through an airport and there's a man standing there in a dress don't get mad at me if i take a second look and i'm not lusting either well he's got a right to do that yeah he does have a right to do that and i've got a right and a biblical right to stand there and say what a shame you see if we don't watch it we're going to buy into the culture that we're all going to come together if i'll just dumb down the cross if i'll just dumb down holiness and if i'll just stop talking about certain things we can just all join together and won't we have a time i say stand up and preach the word if america's got any chance of being saved it needs a pentecostal church it needs a pe if your family's got any chance of being turned around stay pentecostal stay filled with the spirit if they've got any change am i preaching this morning three unclean spirits like frogs boy don't we hear this don't we hear this oh we're still apostolic we just don't do the standard thing we just we just don't do the standard thing and they stay right there for a little bit but i'm coming up on four decades of being in this thing and i've seen some of them same frogs that said we we're going to baptize in jesus name and we're going to have the holy ghost we're going we just don't going to do that standard thing boom until today run the camera at the church if they even baptize i mean people using pepsi colas and potato chips for communion oh god help us see you're really thinking absolutely i think that's wrong if you can go down and get the fruit of the vine and get some unleavened bread get your carcass off the couch and get down the store and get you some unleavened bread and some fruit of the vine and sit down because it's a convenient thing to go get your pepsi cola and your lay's potato chips and sit down and talk about communion there's a reason it's unleavened bread he was the sinless lamb of god there's a reason it's the fruit of the vine he shed his blood for us this world needs a pentecostal church this world needs a pentecostal church i'll tell you a little something today i'll tell you you something today the plague of the frogs in egypt was an interesting plague because there was a god that they served called haket and the statue was that of a frog they believed that frogs were uh fertility did a little research on frogs said that when frogs lay their eggs it resembles chains i didn't say that wikipedia did said as a frog lays its eggs it resembles chains and i thought well that's probably right because anything hell's god offers liberty and then you find yourself chained up you find yourself these people listen to me today i think i'm i think i'm going to minister i feel this is a holy ghost there's people listening me to me today that the enemy convinced you to stop going to the house of god the enemy convinced you that they didn't do you any good and you were just as good to stay at home but now that you're at home with your life is out of control said the lord your life is out of control now you wish that you could walk back you wish but you feel like you got changed what would they think i say to you today get back to church tonight get back to church tonight matter of fact matter of fact if you live close you ought to get up right now and it may be 15 to 12 when you walk in here but you would break the chains of the enemy that's on your soul you read this when moses and aaron brought the frogs into egypt the magicians of egypt did the same they could bring the frogs they could bring the frogs pharaoh's magicians could bring the frogs but they couldn't send them away you see the world can bring the frogs but it takes the gospel to send them away you see the world can bring this into your life what you've got in your life right now the world can bring it but stop looking for the world to send it away because pharaoh's men don't have the power to send it away because it's going to take a man that has the word of the lord to be able to say the frogs are going to leave the depression the the oppression the problems the strife the hell in your life is going to leave because the world brought the problem but the gospel can send it away let me try to close today mark 13 7 and when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars you ever thought when you've read that verse of scripture and get a little bit like me i always thought war is that meant the united states gonna go and go to war with china the united states gonna go to war with russia but do you ever pause and think that it may mean war among ourselves in my estimation right now we're in a civil war it's not very simple but we're divided right now as a nation in the last days you're going to hear of wars and rumors of wars but listen to the church if you're if you claim to be the church i want you to listen to these next few words be ye not what am i supposed to do in the atmosphere here what role does the church play in the riots what roles do the church play in the politics what role do we play what role does a pentecostal church play be ye not trouble the word their trouble means an outburst and a cry the church should not be carried away with the turmoil in the world today what we need to concentrate on is who we are we are the pentecostal church and we cannot allow ourselves to be troubled we have a mission we have a mission we have a voice we have a purpose we have an agenda we have a god and we cannot allow ourselves to be divided by politics racial divide or anything else we have a purpose be not troubled church let the impeachment come whether you were happy or sad be not troubled let covet 19 come wherever you're at be not troubled the racial oh i wish somebody helped me preach today bless god i know this is the word and when you shall hear of wars and rumors of war be ye not trouble for such things must be but the end is not yet is it amazing that several times where jesus christ talked about his return he prefaces it with telling the church sister franklin be not troubled he purpose he he prefaces it by telling the church do not be troubled is it any wonder in john 14 1-4 let your heart let not your heart be troubled you believe in god believe also in me in my father's house are many mansions if it were not so i would have told you i go to prepare a place for you and if i go to prepare a place for you i will come again and receive you unto myself that where i am there you may be also and whether i go you know in the way you know but don't you like the way that he started it off he said let not your heart be troubled can i tell you today we are falling into the trap of the enemy if we the church the bride the blood vault the covenant people of god stronger than the declaration of independence stronger than the the the the the constitution of the united states stronger than any of that we are the covenant people of god and don't you ever forget it young people we are god's blood bald we are god's spirit filled we are god's covenant people heaven and earth shall pass away but god's word shall never pass away and he's telling me to tell you don't be trouble john 14 27 listen to this john 14 27 peace i leave with you my peace i give you not as the world giveth give i unto you let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid i refuse to live in fear i didn't say i'm going to live in ignorance i said i refuse to live in fear i refuse to live in fear when i know what my god has said about us he said about us knowing everything about covet 19. we're going to use wisdom and we have used wisdom but those folks going to lose their soul over this thing you hear me there's there's people they're going to hold the church to a different standard and they're going to lose their soul and they're going to think they can stay home and watch and be just as happy you can't do that you're going to lose your soul you hear your pastor this morning you're going to lose your soul you need the church stop thinking so highfalutin about yourself that you don't need the church it ain't about us needing you you need us you need the church i cannot hold my peace when i have a scripture that says and they shall lay their hands upon the sick and the sick shall recover i cannot hold my peace when i read my bible and my bible says my bible said if they touch any deadly thing it shall not hurt them oh my god i want you to know that that these things are come on church be not troubled and i'm not telling you to be ignorant but just don't be trouble go ahead worship him sister go ahead and praise him right now go ahead worship and praise him right now come on is anybody sick and tired of the spirit of fear that's trying to come in around us the world needs a pentecostal church aren't you glad to be pentecostal this morning spirit-filled i'm glad to be a blood vault heavenly child of the most high god come on sister eric i started the service having you stand i bless the lord i'll end it with you standing second thessalonians 1-7 listen to paul now ii thessalonians 1 7 and to you who are troubled rest in the lord when the lord jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels sound like to me that trouble is going to precede the rapture of the church no wonder in 2 thessalonians chapter 2 verse number 2 that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word neither by letter as from us as that the day of christ is at hand nation is going to rise against nation let me go back to my text now verse number eight nation shall rise against a nation kingdom against kingdom the end of time is going to be marked with a great racial upheaval there's going to be kingdom against kingdom and nation against nation earthquakes and divers places i'm reading from mark 13 8 nation against nation kingdom against kingdom earthquakes and diverse places there shall be famines and this is the beginning of sorrow verse nine take heed to yourselves pay attention take heed to yourself you don't need to be standing listen the devil's deceived you if you think you've made it when it comes time for preaching you stand around look at all the people the preachers hitting none of this and i can't look around at people when i think about me don't be deceived don't be deceived today take heed to yourself verse 9. take heed to yourselves for they shall deliver you up to the councils into the synagogues and you shall be beaten and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake for a testimony against them and we're not going to see that part that's during tribulation but we can add some of this to us verse 10 and the gospel must be preached or the gospel must be published among all nations wait a minute now i see right here mother fart i see right here in verse 10 while the devil wants to trouble us because trouble breeds distraction if i get troubled i get distracted distracted from what then peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of jesus christ for the remission of your sin if we get caught up in the world and i absolutely refuse to bow to this well you know forever so many uh uh hispanic folks you've got to have this number of people and you've got to have that number of people and your church needs to look like this the church needs to look like whoever answers the gospel somebody told me our platform's too white you can't even have a conference anymore without somebody sending you an email that's too wide so we all just use people based on the color of their skin and not the content of their character the truth i a little bumpy in the spirit here i understand you know why it's cause you've been listening to too much news you got too much culture in you you got too much of the seed of the one world government and we're all going to smoke big peace pot and we're all going to be one big happy nation wrong friend there's a church here that needs to be the pentecostal church let me close sister paris we get we get sidetracked on that we get trouble we get sidetracked all that guess what he said at the verse end would you put the keep that verse up there that that ma mark 13 10 and the gospel must be published among all nations the gospel must be published among uh right there's why we're being troubled is because hell doesn't want that right there you know what this ought to do i'll tell you what we ought to be thinking about right now minnesota needs an apostolic preacher minnesota needs some more apostolic churches yeah that's right that's the answer minnesota thank god chapter six lord jesus help me this morning acts chapter six verse number one look at the first church trouble and in those days when the number of the disciples was multiplied there arose a murmuring of the grecians against the hebrews now they were all jews but these grecians were jews that had taken the greek culture they were jews but they had a greek culture to them and they begin to say we're being mistreated our widows are not being served it was a greek culture i don't know what culture you've come from today but the pentecostal church trumps all culture for in jesus christ there's neither jew there's neither gentile there's neither bond there's neither free we're one church it's not a white church it's not a black church it's not a hispanic church it's not an asian church it's not a rich church it's not an educated church it is the church that's what the world needs is the pentecostal church
