earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against his anointed saying let us break their bands aund and Cast Away their cords from us he that sth in the heaven shall laugh the Lord shall have them in derision then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and Vex them in his sore displeasure yet have I set my king upon on my Holy Hill of Zion I will declare the decree the Lord said unto me thou art my son this day have I begotten thee ask of me I want you to repeat those three words with me ask of me and I shall give Thee the Heathen for thine inheritance and the uttermost parts of the Earth for thy possession Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron Thou shalt Dash them in pieces like a Potter's vessel be wise now therefore oh ye Kings be instructed ye judges of the earth serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling kiss the son lest he be angry and you perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little blessed are all they that put their trust in him for a few moments this morning for the Bible class I want to minister on the subject the power of asking the power of asking the Lord gave me a little something that I have as an introduction and um you'll know by the wording that this was not written for you but it it still fits for us in this place tonight are gathered together men and women of God whose lives have been arrested God by God's spirit who seek nothing more on this Earth but to be a vessel in God's hands and plan Restless revivalist vibrant Visionaries who cannot and will not be comforted by the a common everyday business asusual mentality I despise when it comes to church the business asusual mentality the last phrase added just now we company not with those who question our motives and wonder about our Relentless state of spirit those whose dwarfed stunned spirits and Visions causes them to be more than content with a card from an organization enough tithe to pay the church bills and a few personal bills but rather we company with men and women whose cry is not why but just the opposite why not why not reach beyond the common everyday business as usual why not bore through the Earth deep deep deep deep down to where the oil of God's spirit is then Mount powerful pumps of prayer Whispering prayers crying out to God prayers travailing prayers constant prayers to bring the oil of God's spirit to the surface to carry out the work of God upon this Earth that the Apostolic Church may be validated in this last day with miracles signs and wonders that's the kind of church I want to be a part of I don't want to be a part of cold dead lethargic religion that comes and has a few moments of meditation I want to be a part of a live vibrant growing Anything could happen this morning Apostolic Church Anything could happen anything could happen anything could happen why don't you say that with me today anything could happen anything Could Happen someone here in the city in a very sarcastic manner was telling someone within earshot of me knowing I was standing there they sarcastically said while you go there and said there's no telling what'll happen What there there there's no telling what said I went there one night and somebody took off running I went there one night and half the choir were jumping and they were saying this sarcastically and and I chimed in and I said you're right you never know what will happen down there a marriage might be get put back together somebody sick might get healed troubled Minds might get a peace of the Lord upon them oh they're right when we are when we are praying people you truly never know what just might happen here today oh Hallelujah don't you want to be a part of that church don't you want to be a part of that church today well that's the church I I want to be I want to be a part of I I'm not for just holding people I'm not for I'm not for having the Pharaoh mentality of not letting God's people go but neither am I the clock Watchers and if you're if you think that these two emblems here are clocks we put up you're going to be disappointed today because those hands don't move that's that's just that's just there as a theme of the year there's no time like the present today and there's no time like the present to start a prayer life there's no time like the present to shake the dust off your Bible and to shake the dust off your knees and say it's time to get back to prayer because I'm here to tell you today there's power in just asking our great Eternal God our Great Mighty God and his wonderful wisdom place not Revival only in the reach of the to talented our great God our Our God full of wisdom and knowledge place not Revival and a move of his Spirit within the reach of the wealthy only but aren't you so thankful today that God and his wisdom has placed all of his treasures on a shelf that can be reached by all of us nobody's excluded today prayer prayer Psalms chapter 2 is an interesting Psalm it's 12 verses if you'll notice with me it's 12 verses could we read verse one again and then we'll read verse 12 the first and the last verse of the chapter why do the Heathen rage let's read it together that'd be good why do the Heathen and the people imagine a vain thing well this that kind of is in the world today now let's read verse 12 all together kiss the son lest he be angry and you perish from the way when his wrath is kindled but a little blessed are all they that put their trust in him see interesting note there isn't it it's noteworthy that the chapter starts with the Heathen raging and the people imagining a vain thing raging is taken from the analogy of the waves of the sea and isn't that a pretty good picture of the world today raging uh uh get the War settled let's get the War settled in Afghanistan let's take care of al-Qaeda peace on Earth we will have oh yeah until the president of Russia decides he he's going to be aggressive now and now we've got a new front can we just tell you today there shall be no peace on this Earth you you better get ready to meet the Prince of Peace because peace is not coming from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and it's not coming from the United Nations building in New York City peace is coming out of the pages of God's holy word peace oh yes but isn't an interesting note and study today chapter 2 verse one starts off with the Raging of the Heathen and the imagination of vain things by the people but it ends in verse 12 by saying blessed are they that put their trust in him well something had to happen between verse one and verse 12 let's examine to see if we can find out what's happened the Heathen are raging the people are imagining a vain thing the kings of the earth set themselves together verse two the kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers of uh take counsel together against the Lord against his anointed say now let us break their bands we don't like the cords that they have upon us they took counsel against the Lord and against his anointing saying let us break their bands aunder and Cast Away their courts we don't like being tied down by the Lord and his anointed that's right and we're we're seeing it our are we not we're seeing the the the redefining of marriage dictionaries will have to be Rewritten and and and we're we're we're seeing moral codes go out the window and we're seeing all of this and we're sitting in the church looking around saying what in the world is happening I'm going to tell you something verses one and two of Psalms is happening this world wants nothing to do with the Lord and his anointed they don't want anything to do with restraint they don't want anything to to do with any any anything that tells you how to live this world that wants to challenge it because of the God of this world and they're they're they're they're flaunting their IM morality uh they they are they're they're doing all of this well God what do you think about this what do you think about this God well it says he that sth in the heavens shall laugh and I could tell you something when God laughs it's not funny the Lord sth in the heavens shall laugh and the Lord shall have them in derision then shall he speak unto them in his wrath when he gets done laughing he's going to start speaking and he's going to Vex them in his sore displeasure in other words there will come a judgment day there will be a day of reckoning there will be a day of judgment You Close Your Eyes in death when death comes for you and death comes for me and we're the one at the funeral home and I know it's a morbid thought today but it is a fact it is a fact will all if God doesn't if God carries his coming we'll all one day close our eyes and breathe our last breath and friend as a tree falleth there shall it lay nobody's going to be able to burn any candle and get you out of any situation you find yourself in as the tree falls there shall it lay I want to tell you there's a judgment day and there's going to be some people wake up in judgment and friend they're going to be terrified because their names are not written in that Lamb's Book of Life and they've shunn the counsels of God of their own free will they have sh shunn God's uh counsel they have shunn God's opportun opportunity to be saved I told the ministers I met with Ministers of our church this morning at 8:30 and I told the them that we are nothing more but opportunist here today that's all I that's all I I cannot make people live right I wish I could but I cannot make people live right I can't even make people come to the Altar and give their heart to God but all I can do is my little job and that is give you an opportunity today to give your life to God to live right to make the right decisions and that's left up that's left up to you there'll be people on Judgment Day the Bible says in Hell the worm dieth not and he's talking about the memory that you'll have you will remember the uh the rich man in Hell the rich man in Hell took his memory to hell with him as a matter of fact if you'll study that if you'll study that closely you'll find that the rich man in hell is a backsliding Jew because he calls Abraham five times father and Abraham calls him son and no Jew would call anybody father or son you had to be a full Jew you had to be that for him to call him father it had to be a Jew for him to call him son so he is a backslidden Jew that knew the laws of God he knew all of the things God required but he made the decision to let wealth take him down the road but friend he woke up one morning he woke up in a place that his wealth could not help him he opened his eyes up in a place where every man is common there everybody is the same there he woke up in a lake of fire and when he woke up in a lake of fire when when he opened his eyes being in torments don't listen to that don't listen to the deceived rock and roll people that write songs about going to party in hell and Highway to Hell and all of these things going on in hell we're going to have a party in hell don't don't listen there's no party going on in hell there there's no joy going on in Hell there's no there's no drinking alcohol going on in Hell there's no sex parties going on in Hell there's no drug taking going on in Hell In Hell friend they're crying out one thing water water we we want to we want to be we want our tongues to be quenched now you realize today you realize today he woke up in hell and and uh he recognized Abraham he recognized that's Abraham and and not only that but he he remembered that he had brothers and not only that he remembered Lazarus he remembered Lazarus and by the way in the Greek Lazarus his name means God's help it's what his name means in the Greek God's help but you see on Earth I don't need God's help put God's help out at the gate NE neglect God's help to where it's full of sores neglect God's help that I mockingly turn the dogs of my soul loose to go run God's help off but my friend in hell what the rich man would not even let come through the gate at his house in Hell how things changed because in hell he requested that that beggar be allowed to dip his finger in water and touch my tongue I'm here to tell you something today I want to make the decisions Godly and I want to make them right because we're not playing church around here and I've not come for a salary this morning I've come for The Souls of men and women to tell you you better be making the right decisions because there is a heaven gain and there is a hell to shun I want to go to that place don't you I want to go to that place I want to go to that place called heaven today God said I'll have them in derision I'll call him into judgment but before I do verse six yet I have set my king upon my Holy Hill of Zion wait a minute in the midst of a world raging in the midst of a world imagining vain things in the midst of a world fil filled with gross immorality in the midst of a world that is casting off every restraints accepting every new God but the old one in a world that's taking the Ten Commandments down from our cour houses and schools this nation was founded one nation under God well it's no longer one nation under God it has become one nation under Gods many gods one only has to search history out to find that when Israel served Alpha Omega when Israel served the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob no fire could stop them no flood could stop them no Kings could stop them no diseases could stop them nothing could stop that Nation but when they accepted other gods there were war in the gates and their children paid the price of it oh friend today God set his church God set his church he said yet have I set my king upon my Holy Hill of Zion I will declare the decree the Lord has said unto me verse seven the Lord has said unto me thou art my son this day hath I begotten thee why did God come to this earth in the form of a man why did God come to pay the ultimate sacrifice why did God come die on a cross buried in a tomb risen on the third day sending the power back on Pentecost to infuse 12 faithful followers of his with the Holy Ghost that they may go into all the world and become the Ecclesia the Ecclesia is the church the word church is Ecclesia it's called out ones we've been called out of this world we are not of this world we seek not the approval of this world we seek not to walk in step with this world we seek not the accolades of this world for we are the church we are the body of Christ I don't know about you but I don't know how some of you can set Stone Face hearing about what you are unless you are not that this morning I am glad to be the church
