i hope you have your bibles tonight and would stand with me no service would be complete without the preaching of god's word if you have your bibles i would like for you to join me in the gospel of mark chapter number nine and verse number 33 i pray lord willing if tomorrow comes that you enjoy memorial day with your family loved ones friends pray the blessings of god upon you i take great pleasure watching this church i don't know it's 50 50 i don't know which i enjoy more shouting or watching you shout and to see the love of god the power of god a fall fall upon the church it's awesome the book of mark chapter 9 verse number 33 and he came to capernaum and being in the house he asked them what was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way but they held their peace for by the way they had disputed among themselves who should be the greatest and he sat down and called the twelve and saith unto them if any man desire to be first the same shall be last of all and servant of all and he took a child would you say those words with me there and he took a child set him in the midst of them and when he had taken him in his arms he said unto them whosoever shall receive one such children in my name receiveth me and whosoever shall receive me receiveth not me but him that sent me just for a few moments tonight i want to let you in on a little burden that i've had for maybe going on four months now um and i want to preach on tonight for a few moments brother nolan the value the value of a child the value of a child father i love you tonight thank you for the shout thank you for the song i thank you for the word tonight thank you for a people lord whose hearts are devoted and dedicated to you lord take the next few moments as i minister your word holy ghost take it move through this audience lord like a fog god touch hearts bring them to the altar tonight may people be filled with the holy ghost may people be baptized in your name tonight in jesus wonderful name i do pray amen you may be seated the summer of 2020 was a summer that we had without kids quest camp summer of 2020. it was a summer that we had without a strong tower youth camp you don't know as well as i know that these two major events in the lives of our children in the lives of our youth had an effect upon our youth group i am thankful that week after next we will have kids quest camp here at church i am thankful for that i am thankful that in a few weeks strong tower will convene in mars hill north carolina brother matt tuttle is the night evangelist brother j.h osborne is the day bible speaker and now i'm going to tell you something you ought to postpone death to be there i mean you ought to do everything you can to get there i'm excited about that because i know the value of a child the value of a child don't you know that just prior to each major event on god's timetable there was an attack on children when god was going to raise up a deliverer to release the children of israel that had been in bondage for over 400 years satan put it into the mind of pharaoh to begin to destroy all the hebrew boys behind the scenes that was none other than pharaoh trying satan was trying to stamp out israel's deliverer but aren't you glad he failed he failed it would be just shortly after jesus was born into this world that again another man by the name of herod who was just as evil and driven by satan had all of the baby boys under the age of two years old slain all an attempt to do away with the deliverer from sin and aren't you thankful that he failed thank god the power of a child and the value of a child they were on their way back from capernaum jesus overheard the conversation that these grown men had on who was the greatest and who was the favorite i could surmise and kind of fill in the blanks of what it might have sounded like peter might have declared now john you know that there's something about me that jesus just just loves you you know he talks to me a lot and i can hear james maybe pipe up and say well you know he spent some time with me whatever however they were just disputing the word dispute there means to argue and they were arguing on who would be the greatest in the kingdom of god who would be who would be the greatest of course tonight you really understand with me don't you that their disputing was rooted in pride most arguments are rooted in pride it's all rooted in pride the disputing was rooted in pride voice pride is something we need to do everything we can to stay away from pride is the cancer of a soul pride will destroy you quicker than anything you can see on television anything you can see out in the world pride will get you pride that exalting of self pride that exalting of self of course you understand the origin of pride the origin of pride turned an angel turned an angel pride pride turned an angel into a demon it was pride that turned a heavenly praise director god has three types of angels god has a a worshiper a worshiping angel god has a warring angel and god has a word angel and it was the worshiping angel that allowed pride to come into his life where it was isaiah 14 and 12 that describes the fall how he said in isaiah 14 12 how art thou fallen from heaven oh lucifer how did you fall that's the question how did you fall what turned an angel into a demon how did you fall oh lucifer son of a morning how art thou cut down to the ground which did weaken the nations for thou hast said here comes the answer for thou has said in thine heart can i tell you can i tell you what needs to be watched first is the heart some people want to treat symptoms you better get to the heart of the problem you you don't want to wait till you have symptoms of pride you better get pride before it gets in your hands you better get a hold of pride before it gets in your feet you better get a hold of pride before it starts controlling who you are can i hear an amen tonight said uh for thou has said in thine heart i will ascend into heaven i will exalt my throne above the stars of god satan said i tell you what i'm on equal ground with the word i'm on equal ground with the war i i'm equal to the angel of war i'm equal to the angel of the word i'm going to exalt myself above this i'm going to i'm going to get out of my lane can i just tell you tonight that pride will get you out of your place all right i said pride will get you out of your place it'll get you out of your lane he said i will exalt myself above the throne my throne i will exalt my throne above the stars of god i will sit also upon them upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north i will ascend above the heights of the clouds i will be like the most high now that's an impossibility no one ever has nor will anyone ever be like the most high god there never has been one like him there is not one presently now and there will never be one like the most high god when led by pride you will never become what you envision yourself as becoming when led by pride you will never become what you envision yourself as becoming satan envisioned himself as as ascending he envisioned himself as going up he envisioned himself as not being equal anymore with the word and with war and he even envisioned himself setting right beside the most high but you listen to me tonight pride will never deliver to you what you envision is a matter of fact when you allow pride to rule in your life it will be the opposite pride will rob you of your current present god-given position you will not even get to stay where you're at he will drag you down isaiah 14 15. yet thou shalt be brought down to hell down to the sides of the pit they that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee and consider thee saying is this the man that made the earth to tremble and did shake kingdoms god says you're trying to exalt yourself with pride you're trying to exalt yourself but when i get through with you you're never going to get where you envision yourself just hang it up you'll never get where you envision yourself to be on pride not only that you won't even be allowed to stay where you're at i will take you from your god-given position and i will bring you down to hell and i will cause everybody to look at you and they'll say this thing when they look at you is this the one that caused the earth to tremble and the kingdoms to shake you ever been on a hike you ever been on a walk and got something in your shoe and decided just to put up with it and you kept walking and kept walking and until you think man this thing's huge in my foot this is huge in my shoe and you sit down on a park bench and you take your shoe off you turn it upside down and you notice a little speck comes out and you're shaking it because that's what you thought was in there can i tell you what we believe is a great big devil right now if you could actually see him tonight you would say are you kidding me that pip squeak's keeping me up at night are you kidding me that's the one that i've kind of had a little bit of fear in my life are you kidding me well that's exactly that's exactly what happened to him he had all this beautiful he was the anointed cherub and it goes on and on and on but let me tell you apostles you're disputing among the way of who is the greatest and if pride is not addressed in your life if pride is not addressed in your life if pride is not addressed in your life you don't even get to keep the position that you now you don't even understand and appreciate you're walking side by side with god rode them flesh you don't even understand when i turn water into wine you just saw a miracle and here you all are disputing among the way who will be the greatest in the kingdom evidently you don't know the privilege that you have at the moment the bible says that he took a child go back to mark 9 36 the bible says he took a child to our daycare teachers tonight that are here to our christian school teachers tonight that are here for several months now i have had a burden for you and i have been praying for you because we can never allow ourselves to ever forget about the value of a child this church has no future if we do not continue to invest in our children we must invest in our children it's not an option we have got to be serious and intentional about making sure that what we have been given is passed down to them we have no future we have mortgaged our homes we have given our health sister carpenter we have given up we have given of what we what we have spent and be spent along with others but if we don't pass it down to our children and our grandchildren and all the children here at the church we might as well took a match and struck it and lit up all the money and burn it up because the secret to the success of this church is not that the whiteheads believe it but it's the fair-haired young people that will embrace it believe it and worship now i want to show you how jesus combats pride how jesus can batch pride he's got apostles that are bickering over who's the favorite who's the greatest and in verse 36 he took a child he took a child and set him in the midst of them and when he had taken him in his arms he said unto them i'm going to stop there because i read that and i see three steps in the ministry of children by jesus christ i see three steps number one the bible said he took a child now what's not said there is i believe that there was a parent there that gave a child you cannot take what has not been given you cannot take what has not been given we want to give our children to jesus we want that's what youth camp kids camp is all about we're not in a babysitting service our motive for a few nights and a few days of having your children is not to babysit them it's not a mother's day out it's not a time to give you a break messages have intentionally been prepared and a theme has been prepared to introduce them to lead them further into a relationship with jesus christ the time to get a hold of children is now the time to get a hold of children's hearts is now hear me parents we are in a war for the minds of our children hell is over time to get a hold of their minds we have to roll up our sleeves and understand that whatever it takes i've got to give my children to jesus i've got to give them to jesus he first took the child he first took the child you can't take unless it is given you can't take unless it is given israel doesn't have a king in ii samuel 7 8 therefore now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant david thus saith the lord of hosts i took thee from the sheep caught and from following the sheep to be ruler over my people over israel we got to get out of our minds that at the age of 18 god falls in love with your children god's in love with your children right now god wants a relationship with your children right now god doesn't want your children after hell has had a blank slate to scar them and mar them and educate them god wants our children now god wants our children now the only way to combat the lies of hell is with the truth of god's word let's give our children to jesus now god didn't start loving david when he killed goliath god didn't start loving david when david had a love for the house of god when david was a young child he took him not only that you can't take unless you give the bible says in exodus chapter 2 and verse 3 about the mighty deliverer that they sang about tonight but there would have been no moses and there would have been no red sea and there would have been no pharaoh having to be humbled had it not been for exodus two and verse three and when she could no longer hide him she took for him an ark of bulrushes dabbed it with slime and with pitch and put the child there in she le and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink israel is going to get a deliverer but before israel can have a deliver there's got to be a parent that doesn't fear what hale's doing there's got to be a parent that prepares a special floating vehicle vessel and that puts that child in that vessel and when she put that child in that vessel and close that lid and put it by the flags by the riverside she was literally saying god i've done all i can do i would rather him drown than to give him over god i'm giving him to you but something wonderful happens when we give our children to jesus he reaches out and takes them and when moses mother put him in that that ark of bulrushes and closed the lid a wind from god just blew that little bassinet down into a cove down just to the right place down to where pharaoh's daughter was taking a bath and when pharaoh's daughter came down to take a bath somebody looked at that floating bassinet and they pulled it over and when they opened up the lid the little baby began to cry and pharaoh's daughter and all of the maidens had compassion on the little bitty hebrew boy that was crying just so happened moses's big sister miriam had been walking by the by the shore to see what would happen to her baby brother and miriam even says shall i go and get one of the hebrew mothers to nurse the child pharaoh's daughter said sure go get one of the hebrew daughter mothers to nurse and i will pay you you talk about you talk about how god listen god can get his work done on the devil's dime he can get he could he can get his work done on the devil's dime he he can get his work god is so awesome he can get a deliverer from moses and they were raised up on the taxes of egypt and they paid moses his mother to nurse him and at the end of a few years she had to turn him over to pharaoh but he became a mighty deliverer he he he delivered israel from egyptian bondage but now stay with me now none of that would have ever happened had not a mother been willing to say i'm giving this child to you i'm putting this child i wonder tonight what god wants to do with our children here at first apostolic church i'm thankful for our missionary from germany i'm thankful for all of our missionaries brother art schnitzer's in in africa tonight as i preach he sent us another email today he said the count that i preached to was over 400 people today and we have more return back to the house that want to be baptized in the name of jesus christ i thank god for our missionaries in africa i thank god for our missionaries in germany but we can't lose sight mom and dad you listen to me tonight we can't lose sight that we gotta give our children to jesus at first apostolic church of maryville i wonder what jesus wants to do can i get a witness tonight the bible says stay with me now there's three steps to the ministry of jesus with dealing with children parents must give their children to jesus parents must give them to jesus you can't take what's not been given jesus cannot take your child if you don't give him your child please don't ever fight against anything jesus is trying to do with your children i've been praying for our daycare staff i'm believing god that god's going to give us a mighty revival on a daycare staff god didn't raise us up to be a daycare center here at this church the motive the seed at the core of why we have a daycare is to get unchurched people in this building five days a week is to introduce us to people that in no way would have a connection here at this church what it was they're not coming in the doors of this church so i've not only prayed for the atmosphere here to be anointed i pray for every date your teacher tonight in the name of jesus christ to be anointed i pray that there be a special anointing upon you that lost people as they simply drop their child off can't help but feel oh god oh god give us the atmosphere give us keep us in the atmosphere of a few years ago there was a woman that used just to set in the office there with sister jeter and i saw her sitting there for a few days and i began to ask sister jeter when the woman was gone is there an issue here with this lady and she said no this woman is a very troubled woman and she says that the only time she has peace is when she walks into this building and says she finds peace and she just asks you she should stay right here there's a lost world out there tonight there's a confused world out there tonight there is a demon oppressed world out there tonight and we have the truth we're not just another daycare we are a truth a daycare that's anointed by the spirit of god and i'm believing god's going to give us a harvest you cannot take what's not been given that's the first step here's the second step mark 9 36 mark 9 36 here's the second step he took the child first step and set him in the midst of them second step in the midst of who in the midst of the disciples now i know they're off at this present time i know they're bickering about who will be the greatest but i want to use them tonight as an environment the second step of the salvation of our children is environment it is atmosphere we have got to put our children in the right atmosphere in the right environment the world has an environment the world has an atmosphere i don't like that environment and i don't like that atmosphere so the church must combat the world we must have a spiritual environment for our children we have to be we have to keep them in a place that is the right environment you do understand the order of creation stay with me for a moment the order of creation nothing grows on light alone you've got to have environment to grow anything there's no vegetation there's no fruit that doesn't happen to the third day light appears on the first day which i happen to believe that was a spiritual divide and not the creation of the sun i believe the creation of the sun happened on the fourth day but light appeared and light and darkness was divided i believe that represents the two spiritual forces that's in this world today god of righteousness demons of darkness god that wants to lead us to freedom peace god that wants to lead us to freedom and peace sanity satan tormentor destructor of the human soul in the human body light and darkness was separated but it was the second day that god said let there be a permanent firmament verse 6 chapter 1 genesis and god said let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters let it divide the waters from the waters and god made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament and it was so this is the second day god created an environment because things don't grow without an environment but on the third day that's when trees appeared and grass appeared and vegetation appeared but should get none of that until the environment is right if we can get the environment right in our children their behavior will change they will stop giving the fruit of rebellion and they'll start producing the fruit of righteousness but don't ever expect fruit without an environment you've got to have an environment if you're going to have the right fruit i'm sorry tonight i'm sorry this has been in my gut this has been in me all day long i preached a wednesday night pastoral message on a sunday morning but i'm here to tell you tonight an hour or two on wednesday and an hour or two on sunday morning and sunday night is not going to create what we need we need an environment not only in the church house we need an environment in all of our houses all of our houses have got to have the right environment that some things don't belong in our houses there's some things from hollywood hollywood that don't belong in our houses there's some things in your refrigerator that doesn't belong in our houses we've got to have the right environment we got to have a husband that loves his wife we got to have husbands i love their let's start where it ought to start it don't start with the kids it starts with the head of the house the man we got this thing you may be seated we got this thing turned around in pentecost we have most revivals because our kids go to youth camp get fired up go home for mom and dad you couldn't be no more backward than that it shouldn't be our kids go to youth camp get all stirred up come home get mom and dad stirred up it ought to be the head of that house that male in that house that man in that house that understands his job description is more than just earning a few dollars and bringing it home and putting a roof over their head and some shoes on their feet and some food on the table that's just a miniscule uh part of the of the requirement of that man but the part of that man is to see that his house makes it to heaven god gives us some joshuas as for me and my house we're going to serve god we're going to serve god we're going to serve god to the day that i die i'm going to pray a revival upon the men of this church we can turn our city upside down if we can get the men stirred up we need men and women that love each other husbands and wives that love each other we need husbands and wives that love the lord jesus we need homes we need homes where a wholesome environment is where a child is not confused by what he hears at church and what he hears at home it was a boy that died in the bible days one of the prophets went down that they had laid the boy in a chamber and upper room the prophet went down it's an unusual story the prophet went down and and the prophet laid on him the prophet laid on him and then the bible said that the prophet walked to and fro throughout the house he walked to and fro throughout the house and then it said the prophet went up and raised the boy from the dead i have pondered brother eriksen why did the prophet walk to and fro through the house and the only explanation i've ever come up with and i'd be interested to hear what you might think about it is did the prophet think if i raise him from the dead is the cause of his death still here in the house because there's no need to raise him from the dead if he's just going to get up from this bed and go do whatever he did to kill him in the first place so we've got to get out of the house whatever is killing them and then have a resurrection because if we don't get out of our homes what's killing them what good is it to get them fired up next week brother nolan or a few weeks from now brother hammond for them to go right back home to their death i believe tonight that we need to create an environment in our homes that say it may take a daddy saying we need to have a family meeting and you may take a daddy setting their wife and all the kids down and saying you know what dad has slipped a little bit and dad has let some things go in his home a little bit but pastor got me stirred pastor got me thinking the other night and and we're gonna change some things that i've allowed in this home you say oh brother carpenter uh i can hear brother macho man say i can hear brother macho man thinking right now if i get my wife and my kids and i'll tell them that that will belittle me in their presence you you couldn't understand anything more than that that's not going to belittle you in their presence they're going to look at you and thank god that you're man enough to say because probably your wife is thinking it anyway and probably your kids would wish you would do it anyway and if you would just stand up and do it on can we praise him right now i'm talking about the value of a child come on the value of a child the value of a child the value of a child if you don't have any grandchildren pray for mine if you don't have any children pray for my children because i want to fight help for my children i'm going to find help for your children i'm going to do everything i can to get your children in love with jesus christ i'm going to show them what old-fashioned pentecost looks like i'm going to show them what i'll run and i'm going to show them what tongue talking i'm going to show them what one god preaching that looks like and sounds like i got to have you give them to me you got to give them to me we're going to show our kids what a woman ought to look like boy who ever thought we'd have to preach like this but i hope it's making more sense now that we got a gender-crazed generation when women years ago started dressing like men and then a few years after that we our mouths fell open when men begin to dress like women did an airport the other day in an airport the other day my wife said look at that woman standing there and she don't normally ask me to look at women and she said look at that woman standing there and i turned around and there was what appeared to be a woman had a skirt on that was a pretty good sign a woman turned around it was a man with a full-grown beard most magazines modern fashion magazines now is advertising men in dresses now you think i'm gonna get comfortable with that you know how a world's gonna get comfortable with it if so nobody say anything about it that's not right women ought to dress like women and men ought to dress like men why because i got some children i got some children i don't want my six-year-old granddaughter to dress like a harlot i don't want her to dress like a mini harlot i want her to dress like a young woman they gonna put any daisy duke shorts on my six-year-old children you got to have the environment there's got to be an environment an environment of hope environment of peace an environment where a child coming from a broken home can walk into an environment of a church and something just possess them to believe everything is going to be all right step number three and i'm only going to step number three because i got i got to hurry he took the child he can't take it unless it's given and he put the child in the right environment and the last thing he did he lifted the child up in his arms he elevated the child you can't elevate a child that's not been put in the right environment you can't elevate a child that's not been given our children never get elevated unless they've been given our children never get in the right environment unless they've been given our children never get elevated to be all that god caused them to be unless they have been given i said but no blood carpenter the cost of you camp you know how much it cost y'all somewhere near the cost of those tennis shoes you buy oh that's school tuition man that cost a lot not near as much as the payment on your boat or four-wheeler or side-by-side and can i tell you something right now if you don't put your child in the right environment and they need a lawyer one day that'll be more than all the tuition put together your child winds up in drug rehab you're going to learn how to dish some money out your child you raise your child without the right guidance and that child doesn't become self governing and responsible for his own you're with them for a long time i'm just preaching to you tonight it's an investment that is well worth you get way more out of what you give to have your child in an investment who wouldn't want to give their children to jesus who wouldn't want them an environment think about it just across the street say well there's a school across the street they can go for free that's exactly right but you ought to hear what they're going to be taught over there in our city in our fair city they teach the five pillars of islam now you tell me why our kids need to know about the five pillars of islam when they can't be taught the word of god and you know what parents you know what parents see teachers here are tied school boards here are tied because of our liberal government in nashville because what's in nashville flows to our cities and we have to go by the liberal agendas that are passed down why do we need five pillars of islam why well they said so to open up their minds well we don't want our kids and minds opened up they don't need to know i would say they should know about the beatitudes more than the five pillars but but our good old nashville pass down a compromise guess what happens if your child doesn't want to sit in that class your child has a special little room that he can go to in the public school all by himself and set while the other classmates hear the five pillars of islam i just like to ask since we don't want it in the first place why can't you let those that want islam go in that room go ahead send them across the street they may get in trouble for calling a boy a he oh y'all ain't with me tonight what happens a lot of times the church lays asleep while the world is at work and when we finally wake up the world's already got a foothold in this thing you want them across the street they may get detention because they call a boy a he and a girl a she they're going to train your son to call it an it oh come on now what's a little tuition watch it let me tell you something brother nolan you ought to get so much registered for kids quest camp that you have to cut off the restoration you may be seated yeah i hear my ma hey man corner over there do it again see let's do it again do it again yeah i love it why we said idly bye go ahead yeah across the street's absolutely free it's absolutely free over there across the street your daughter may sit right beside some girl that's six weeks pregnant too go ahead sit them across the street there'll be an environment they'll be in they'll be in an environment that'll ridicule your girl for the way she dresses you see there's a generation of whiteheads here tonight that remember back in the day when there wasn't christian schools they went to public schools they know the ridicule when john f kennedy passed that uh gymnastic gym attire when john kennedy said you had to work out a pair of shorts and on and on they they ridiculed that they were ridiculed because they would they wouldn't wear those shorts in the gym and many there's men here tonight there's men uh the man that helped us the the man that brother layla brother layla was in school when john kennedy passed that law of wearing jim shorts and john and brother layla said i won't do it and he got a letter from his pastor stating we don't wear shorts and the gym teacher said all right i'll tell you what during gym i tell you what you can do mr layla while the other boys are playing basketball you're gonna clean toilets and mop the floors around here if you can't do that can i tell you you may understand now why an older generation gets irate when they see some of us picking up stuff that they laid down it's not going to kill us to dress right it's not going to kill us to dress to complement our gender jesus took them jesus surrounded them jesus elevated them but you won't know what the devil wants to do to your children join me in mark chapter 17 verse 9 excuse me john chapter excuse me again mark chapter 9 verse number 17. here's what the devil wants to do here's what the devil wants to do boy he's hoping he's hoping every time i see devil in the church he hopes you just tune that out devil devil devil devil no no don't turn it down you hear me tonight look up here at me open your eyes real wide let me see the whites of them there's a devil he's after your children and one of the multitude answered and said master came to jesus master i brought unto thee my son which hath a dumb spirit and wheresoever he taketh him this spirit he teareth him and he fometh and gnasheth with his teeth and pineth away i spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out and they could not and he answered him and he answered him and saith oh faithless generation how long shall i be with you how long shall i suffer you bring him unto me they brought him unto him and when he saw him straightway the spirit tear him look at the battle here when they brought this boy with this demonic spirit the spirit tear him he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming and he asked his father how long is it ago since this came unto him and he said of a child how long has he been acting this way how long has he been trying to self-destruct how long has he been trying to destroy himself how long and i may step into an area that may be a little uncomfortable but i'm here to tell you tonight if you have a spirit you have something in you that's driving you to cut yourself that's not of god and when those desires come to cut your body you need to pray in jesus name don't hide it don't get back in the bedroom that's where he wants you to be get out to where your mama's at get out to where your daddy's at get the pastor on the phone get the prayer chain going because that demon is trying to get you it's real it's happening and we gotta wake up the devil would like to get our children but could some father tonight stand flat-footed and say not in my house not in my watch destructive behavior cutting how long ago did this come up on your son and the answer of a child he's been acting this way from a child verse 22 often times it had cast him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him but if thou can't do anything have compassion on us and help us jesus said unto him if thou canst believe all things are possible to them that believe and straightway child cried out don't sit with a heart broken and a zip lip don't sit with a heart broken and folded hands the deliverance that your children and grandchildren need tonight in the name of jesus is dead but watch this the devil's got him foaming at the mouth the devil's got him wallowing the devil's got him trying to drown himself the devil's got him trying to cast himself in the fire the devil's got him slithering like a snake on the ground with white smoke a foam coming out of his mouth but when jesus gets a hold of him watch what he does and straightway listen to this verse 27 oh my god and jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up and he arose can i tell you tonight whatever the issue is a situation is with your children doesn't have to be fatal if we can cry out to god with intercessory prayer and with fasting if we can cry out to god god can break those chains come on stand with me tonight the value the value of a child the value of a child young people tonight i love you young people tonight i love you and people tonight i'm for you i am believing god you don't have to grow up and be a preacher like me you don't have to grow up be a preacher's wife like sister carpenter some of you have gifts gifting and calling that want to go into the medical world go do it in jesus name go do it in jesus name some of you and i'm going to say this has been on my heart set for a long time but sometimes in our churches we preach the ministry so exalted that our kids believe if they're not called to preach they're not called at all that's a lie there's medical doctors standing here tonight there's all kinds of professional people right here that you are right in the will of god you are right in the will of god god wants some apostolic attorneys to stand in our courthouses one day and battle cases and everybody knows they go down to that apostolic church they're a one god tongue talking believing person that's your gift and that's your calling what do you want to be if you prayed about being if you prayed about preaching prayed about being a missionary that's all well and good but if you can't seem to get a grip on it maybe god is calling you to be an architect maybe god is calling you to be a commercial airplane pilot maybe god is calling you maybe god is calling you to have your own business do it that's just as important as the boy or girl standing beside you that'll go into the ministry because every preacher needs those kind of people cry well they got home they got in the house see the disciples mother tharp had tried to cast the spirit out of that child nev they were never successful jesus comes along identifies one problem he asks a question they didn't ask they never asked how long has it been acted this way jesus did how long have they been acting this way from a child they get back at the house at dinner that night and one of the disciples spoke up and said lord would you tell us why we couldn't cast that devil out he said sure i'll tell you this kind cometh about only but by prayer and fasting when behaviors get in our children i'm sorry a prayer line's not gonna get it when behaviors get deep rooted in our children they grow into adulthood and you won't change i'm sorry just having their name in a jar in the prayer room is not going to get it there has to be somewhere mom and dad that a wednesday meal is missed there has to be somewhere where your belly makes noises because it's empty and you know no lunch today no dinner tonight oh god deliver my child oh god deliver my child we just close your eyes right now can we just pray can we just pray all over this building right now that evil children children children on every child that would meet me in the altar tonight to come right now children on every teenager that would be so mindful to meet me right now in the altar to come right now jesus oh jesus god oh jesus god oh god oh god oh god every head is bowed and every eyes closed every head bowed every eye closed right now no one looking around please does anybody here tonight you want to give your life to god this altar is open right now you want to give your life to god this altar is open right now just step out of your pew step out of your pew where you're at just step out of your pew come to the altar somebody will meet you at the altar just come and as you kneel at the altar that'll signify to them that that you've come to give your life to god if there's a prodigal here tonight would you come right now would you come young people would you take about two steps in would you take a few steps in young folks look at pastor tonight i gotta put what's in my heart in you it's got to get in you i'm fighting for your minds i'm fighting for how you process because there's a world that's telling you that there's more than just this way there's a world that's telling you that you could be set free there's a world that's telling you there's a different way of living but you listen to me tonight you sell out tonight to jesus christ if you've got questions and if there's anybody here if there's anybody here that thinks pastor has been successful with his kids i'm going to tell you how some conversations has went i think one of the things these kids get questions on is our outward holiness standards i think they have questions i think there's questions that they get asked i want to see to it in the next few months that you're never at a loss for telling somebody why you believe what you believe never the loss i want your young ladies i want your shoulders to be back when you walk like a young woman through our through our city young men i want you to walk with a godly sense of who you are as you walk because you don't have to conform to anything you hear on the radio or you see in magazines or you see around you don't have to conform to any of that there's any parents here tonight if you name me and sister carpenter successful on a majority every time i ever preached about holiness and standards i go home and sit at the kitchen table with my children and i would say do you understand what dan's talking about right nolan do you understand what i'm talking about don't just tell me you agree don't just tell me you agree do you understand do you have any questions you'd like to ask me nolan you wouldn't be wrong to ask me any kind of quest do you understand because the last thing we ever want is for our kids to sit across from us and have a question and not ask it because there'll be some godless person somewhere that'll win their confidence they'll ask that godless person that question and that godless person will begin something like this oh it just matters what's in your heart just matters what's in your heart young people i'm fighting for you tonight your moms and dads are fighting for you tonight your grandparents are fighting for you tonight in the name of jesus i don't know the altar is pretty full other than over here and over day and daycare school or out school's out daycare will be is out tomorrow but on a normal week this building opens up at 6 30 a.m and doesn't close down till 6 pm and the public bring their children here to this church to be cared for while they work now to them they just believe that they're enrolling their child in the five-star most sought-after daycare in blount county god help me if i got a little bit of pride when i say that but we know what our agenda is teach children how to pray to get in their minds at an early age about the lord jesus and so would you pray that we have a great we we got several tremendous daycare worker ministers pray for them would you please and if anybody like a list of them maybe by next week i'll give you a list of the names of the workers but they're
