Matthew, chapter number 11. And we'll begin reading at verse number 16 here in just a moment. Um, I do want to thank the >> >> uh, Espanol Church, Brother Sodo, and his precious men came out here a couple of weeks ago and trimmed up all of our shrubbery around the building. Aren't we thankful for that? They came and trimmed up cuz this is your church, too. This is their church, too. And they they came and trimmed up trimmed up all of the uh the shrubbery that we have because we want everything to look pristine for Easter Sunday morning. And uh one thing that we need to do is I would like to meet at least at least maybe a dozen men uh tomorrow if possible around 3:30. Um, in the afternoon, Brother Randy Nud uh is going to be overseeing. We're going to put down mulch. We're going to we're going to refresh all of the shrubbery beds tomorrow. And uh so if you're free at that time and you can come out and um you you you got to have the only thing you say, "Well, I don't know how to do that." You catch on quick. All right? You catch on catch on real quick. And that's that's 3:30. Uh tomorrow afternoon, we'll be the the mulch will be arriving. We'll be we'll be working. We'll be having a great time of fellowship. Uh how many have a prayer request tonight that you'd like to make known by the lifting of your hand? And God sees all these hands. Aren't you thankful for prayer? So thankful for prayer. I'm going to tell you, this is the second message this church has heard today. The trendsetters were royally blessed this morning. Brother Cooper. Wow. What a what a message. Brother Cooper uh ministered uh ministered to us. And I think I keep hearing somebody say something else here for a moment. But it was I think somebody was just saying amen. What a message. Not only that, but uh we discovered some new singing talent, too. Uh he told sister he told Sister Cooper to take off singing. And boy did she ever take off singing. And we just had a great time. Brother, sister Cooper, thank you so much. Uh, please remember sister Patty Rutherford in prayer. Please remember brother Chris Wimberly in prayer. He had surgery yesterday outpatient. And let's please remember him a full recovery. And brother Bryant also and several the church has needs of prayer. What a prayer answering God that we have. Amen. How many appreciates prayer? We appreciate prayer tonight. Father, we come before you right now the mighty matchless name of Jesus. Lord, I thank you God for all the request. I thank you Lord for the faith that people have in prayer and God rendering prayer requests. God, I pray today for sister uh Franklin, sister Doris, God that lost a son this week. And Lord, I pray for Doris. And I pray for that family, God, that you would touch that family there in Boer City. you'd bring comfort to them, Lord. Tonight, God, would you would you speak to our hearts, Lord? Would you touch every age group tonight, Lord? Lord, touch every age group with this message tonight. We'll be so kind to give you praise and worship and glory. Father, we love you tonight. In Jesus name we pray. And everybody said, "Amen." And please remain standing with me as we read from the Gospel of Matthew 11 and verse number 16. Jesus is speaking. He says, "But where unto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets and calling unto their fellows and saying, "We have piped unto you and you have not danced. We have mourned unto you and you have not lamented. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say he hath the devil." The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, "Behold, a man gluttonous and a wine bber, a friend of publicans and sinners, but wisdom." Everybody say those two words, but but wisdom is justified of her children. for a few moments tonight, still pertaining to the oneness of God, I want to talk about the generation of the wise. The generation, the generation of the wise. God bless you as you're seated tonight. I've asked Pastor Hammond if he would have the youth remain in the auditorium tonight because I feel that this subject of the oneness of God is the number one foundation that every child of God must have in their lives. It is the necessity if we plan to build a spiritual life. If you plan to build a spiritual life, it is of necessity that you build your spiritual life upon the biblical doctrine, the biblical doctrine, the Bible doctrine that there is only one God. and the Bible doctrine for how that one God is defined and how that one God is interpreted per the scripture. We know of the importance of foundations. Jesus told a story about a man who built a house and cut some corners. He cut some corners. He built a house without a foundation. The Bible says that another man built a house, but he didn't cut any corners. He took a shovel and he dig down deep until he got up on a rock. And there he built his house upon a rock. Jesus would later in the parable talk about storms and winds and rains that would come. The house that had no foundation quickly crumbled and quickly fell. And the writer simply says, "And great was the ruin thereof. But the house that was built upon the foundation was able to withstand the wind and able to withstand the rain, was able to withstand the floods that would come against it. All because it was it was built upon that foundation. Tonight I believe that I have witnessed and many of you have also if there's one subject that will stir up the devil is to be preaching on the oneness of God. It is seems to be the one subject. If I was over my 40 six plus years in the ministry, if I was to tell you the number one thing that has caused people to get up and walk out while I was preaching, it would be on the subject of the oneness of God. You see, the oneness of God seems to hit a nerve with people because, and I think it's not only hits a nerve with people, but if God is not your God, then your God doesn't want the subject of the one God because our Bible tells us that the devil believes in one God and he trembles over the fact that there is only one God. I have tried to get a definition, an interpretation of why would the devil tremble. And I believe I've come up with this. The reason the devil trembles that there's one God because if you get one God right, the next thing coming down the pipe is going to be his name. And if there's anything the devil trembles about is the name of Jesus. >> Because the Bible said there's no salvation in any other name >> but the name of Jesus Christ. is the highest revealed name. It causes angels to bow. It causes demons to tremble. It causes strongholds to come down. It washes away our sin. It'll heal us when we're sick. I am glad tonight. I am glad tonight for the name of Jesus. Jesus begins to tell us here in Matthew chapter 11 about a generation or a culture. You see, we're living in that same day. The Bible said, "What will I liken this generation to?" What would I liken this generation to? In verse 16, he said, "It's likened to children sitting in the markets and calling unto their fellows." Now you see when Jesus used the phrase children seated in the markets, he was talking about a generation that was social, a generation that was very much social. In that day, if you wanted to be social, you would go down to the markets. There's where the social interaction would be. We too today are a generation that is very much social i.e. social media. We have generations today that are that are almost 247 scrollers. We have generation today that are just about constantly Instagrammers. They're they're spending time and and and and they're social. There's never been a more social generation than what we're preaching to right now. They're wanting to stay connected, but yet the tragedy of this generation is they're connected, but they're disconnected from God. And if I could say anything to everybody tonight in this room, it would be your main objective, your main object in life would be to know the Lord Jesus Christ. I'm not talking about a decision you made at I'm not talking about a decision you made at Strong Tower. I'm not talking about a decision you made 50 years ago. The greatest thing in your life, the greatest drive, the greatest objective should be that you know the Lord Jesus Christ. And I'm going to tell you that doesn't happen just with a decision. It's a lifelong commitment to know him, to love him, and to serve him. Regardless of what age group you're in, regardless of what phase of life that you're in, you want to be driven to know him. I spoke this morning to um I think it was brother sister Salards if my memory serves me right. And you know we we emphasize prayer a lot here at the church. But prayer the primary purpose of prayer isn't about getting a prayer answered. The primary purpose of prayer is about developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. >> That's the primary reason for prayer. If you only go to prayer when you need an answer, you have a very shallow, you have a banker's relationship. That's what you got. You got a doctor's relationship. You go to the doctor when you're sick. You go to the banker when you you need a loan. But you don't treat God that way. We don't go to Jesus when we have life is falling apart and I need you to help me, Jesus. No. You learn to go to him every day and walk with him and talk with him and you learn to develop a relationship. You learn to develop a relationship with him. Jesus said, "What would I like in this generation to?" They are social. They're in the marketplaces. And guess what they're doing? They're saying, "We played it. We played a good tune to you, but you didn't respond. And we we played another tune to you. We changed the tune, but but you didn't but you didn't mourn." We seem to have a generation now that's looking for a response. They seem to they seem to uh uh uh get their self-worth by how many likes they get. And did somebody repost? And did somebody like what they did? Can I tell you most of the things on social media today, there's no reality to it? >> They post their vacations. They post the best things of their life. But can I tell you something? Life is a lot more about the high points. Life sometimes can be down in the valley and we seem not to we seem we seem not to post that. My dear friend, brother Jimmy Tony, he posted one Sunday evening late. Oh, he posted and mostly he's followed by people like me preachers, but he posted and a lot of the posts were preachers were saying, "We broke our attendance today. We baptized a million today. We had this happen today and we had that happen. And brother Tony simply posted, "Had three families leave our church today looking for a new place to worship." Attendance was the lowest it's been since I've been here in nine years. Nobody was baptized today. Just want to tell you what a day we had. I'm going to tell you something. I believe he got more likes from people that simply said that is real. But let me just share with you what Jesus turned the corner. He says it's a generation that is looking for a response. He said, "John couldn't please this generation. Please just just hang with me for a little bit." He said, "You know, John couldn't please this generation." And I came, he said, "Well, let's let's go back and look at it this way. Verse n verse 18. Here's what this generation, they're in the marketplace. I piped to you. You didn't dance. I mourned for you. You didn't respond. Then he says,"For John came." Verse 18, "John came neither eating nor drinking." And guess what they said about him? He got a devil in him. Son of man, he's speaking of himself. He said the son of man came eating and drinking. Said John, John came and he wasn't eating and drinking. And they said he's got a devil. And the son of man came eating and drinking. And they said, "Behold, a glut a man of gluttonous and a wine bber, friend of publicans, sinners." Guess what he said? He said, "Any generation that frowns on absolute doctrine." We've almost in Christianity today frowned on the word doctrine. It's almost running neck andneck with the word holiness. >> But I'm glad to be in a church tonight. And I'm glad to have pastored a church for going on 42 years that the word doctrine doesn't scare us. >> We love doctrine here. >> And I'm glad to be in a group. You hear that hand clap tonight? I'm glad the word holiness doesn't make this church go quiet for a little bit. We love holiness. We love separation. It's the way we live. We We like the way we love the way that we live. >> >> Jesus said, "You can never satisfy this generation." A generation or a culture that frowns on doctrinal teaching where the church stands on absolutely. We stand on absolutely the absolute of the word of God. We stand. There's no other way to be baptized but in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. There is no other way to be baptized. There there there there is there is no other way to be baptized. If you were baptized any other way but in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, having it called out over you and for the purpose of the remitting of your repented sins and my friend, today according to the Bible, the book that we will meet in judgment, you have been baptized incorrectly and you need to correct that baptism. And we stay ready to baptize people at a moment's notice. >> We stand upon the word of God. We stand upon the absolute word of God. Jesus said, "John came and they rejected John." And then he said, "I came and they also rejected me." Because, listen to me now, you can never please a culture that is not in love with scripture. You can, let me say it again, you can never please a culture that's not in love with scripture. >> You you you just can't you can't please that culture. But then I believe I'm going to address our youth group tonight. And I believe I'm going to address the adults here tonight. I believe I'm going to address the older people here tonight. I believe we are the generation of wisdom because he talked about a generation that could not that could not be satisfied. I piped to you and you didn't dance. I mourned to you and you didn't mourn. But then he says at the end of verse number 19, "But wisdom is justified of her children." Here's what one translation writes, and I really like the way this this this reads. But God's wisdom will be visibly seen living in those who embrace it. God's wisdom will be visibly seen living in those that embrace it. We're going to be the people, the city set on a hill, the lamp, the light on top of a candlestick, that are not only telling you they profess Jesus Christ, but you'll be able to see it in their lives because wisdom, wisdom is visibly seen living in those that embrace it. Now, if I could just speed up a little bit and tell you that in the Bible, wisdom is likened unto silver and wisdom is likened unto gold. Now, you you you understand about silver and gold. You don't find silver and gold laying on the ground. You have to go mining for silver and gold. You have to go digging for silver and gold. You see, God so placed his truth in his word at a level that you got to dig for it. You you you you got to get down and you got to you got to be hungry for it. Uh he listen um uh God doesn't do uh door dash. He's he's he's not into door dash. All right? You're you're you're not going you're not going to door dash some truth to your door. God is in you getting hungry enough, getting tired. But I'm going to tell you how you get hungry enough. You get tired of what you're living in. >> You you get tired. And many many many people many many people we I told you a week or so ago uh that we went to uh Sister Joyce Fielding's uh homegoing celebration there in Indianapolis. Sister Ball uh her mother. And um we we went there and and brother Sunny uh he told about how they came to the truth that they were they they they they walked with all they knew in in in the Baptist church. They they walked with all that they knew, all the truth that they knew. And they walked there for years. They they served God to the best of their ability. But brother Sunny told at the funeral, he said, "But I kept knowing that there was something more for me. There was something more out there for me." And then he said someone from the Assembly of God came and they introduced him to the baptism of the Holy Ghost. And he said, you know, we received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in the Assembly of God. But he said, I I kept knowing, Brother Perry, he said, I kept knowing there was something more for me. There was something more out there. And then he said, uh, someone invited us to the first apostolic church there on Pleasant Ridge Road, Bishop Mcool. Someone invited us there. And he said, "We went there and God over a few time God opened up their eyes to water baptism in his name and God opened up their eyes to the oneness, the biblical definition of the oneness of the Godhead." And he said, "There we have been for the last 30 years or so." Because I'm going to tell you something has nothing to do with the titles that I mentioned. It has everything to do the scripture that you embrace. Because when you can embrace the fullness of the apostles doctrine, you're going to find out what you are looking for. Church family, don't go backward. It's not it's not in reverse. God doesn't have a reverse in his walk with you. God wants you to go forward and forward and forward. You got to mind for it. You've got to you've got to dig. You've got to dig for it. So, now I turn the corner tonight in my Bible lesson. And of course, we simply want to take the remainder of my Bible lesson tonight. I want to take the remainder of my Bible lesson tonight and simply go into what the doctrine of the Trinity states. What the doctrine of the Trinity states. And uh the Bible or not the Bible, but the doctrine of the Trinity states something like this. that there are three separate persons. Three separate persons. They are co-equal. They are co-eternal and they are of the same essence or they are of the same the same essence or they are of the same substance. If you would, we will first deal tonight with co-equal. A co-equal it simply means according to their doctrine that each person each person of the godhead shares the same. Each is as much God as the other. They are co-equal. Each is the per the first person, second person, third person. They are all co-equal. Well, let's go to the word of God. Let's go to Isaiah chapter number 40. Isaiah chapter number 40 and verse number 25. And let's see if we can find a co-equal. Isaiah 40 and verse number 25, God says, "To whom then will you liken me? Or shall I be equal? Saith the holy one. There is one that asks, "To whom will you liken me? Or shall I be equal?" Verse 26. Lift up your eyes on high, and behold, who hath created these things that bring that that bringeth out their host by number? He calleth them all by names, by the greatness of his might. For that he is strong in power, not one faileth. Please understand as this holy one is me speaking he refers to himself as a he and not a we. If you would move on over to Isaiah chapter number 46. Isaiah chapter number 46 and we'll begin reading at verse number five. Once again, this word equal. I'm finding the word equal because the doctrine of the trinity says there are three co-equal persons. Separate. Three separate co-equal persons. Verse five. To whom will ye liken me and make me equal and compare me that we may be like? They lavish gold out of the bag and weigh silver in the balance. hire a goldsmith, and he maketh it a god. They fall down, yay, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder. They carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth. From his place shall he not be removed. Yay, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of their out of his trouble. So once again, he's likening, say, are you going to compare me to one of the gods that you make out of silver? one of the gods that you make out of gold. Now, I would like to take you to the book of Philippians right now in the New Testament, the book of Philippians. And uh that will be uh Philippians chapter number two is where I'd like to go. And we'll begin reading at verse number three. Philippians chapter 2 and verse number three. Paul says, "Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory, but in loneliness of mind, let each esteem other better than themselves." Now, what he's talking about there is attitude. He's talking about a Christian attitude. All right? He's talking about an attitude and a Christian attitude. Verse four, look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. In other words, he's saying as a Christian, you care about your brother. You don't you're not selfish. You you care about you you care. This is a frame of mind. You care about you care about others. Then verse five, let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Now what's he talking about? an attitude who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Now, I'm going to tell you what you're seeing there with equal with God is the humanity and the deity. Jesus was 100% not 33 and a third. He was 100% God >> and he was 100% man. And the man did not take anything away from the deity and made himself of no he made himself of no reputation. So we see here scripture reveals that there is no equal to God. There is one God and there is no equal >> to that one God. Now as we continue down the co-equal. So go with me now to the Gospel of John chapter number five. You say, "Well, Bill Carpenter, I really I I really wish you'd speed up and keep my attention." Come on, children of wisdom. The world has to have it fast >> or you don't keep their attention. >> But we're not of this world. >> If we just have to slow down and we can leave here tonight with a generation because here here's the thing. Was John really a failure of a preacher? No. I'm going to tell you how John was successful. John was so successful that many years later what he preached, he was beheaded. what he preached stayed with his followers until many years later in the 19th chapter of the book of Acts. He had ing ground repentance so much in them and hid ing grounded in them to look for the Messiah that years later in the 19th chapter of the book of Acts there's still John the Baptist disciples and when Paul came to Ephesus and finding some of John's disciples he said have you received the Holy Ghost since you believe? And they said we've not even heard so much whether there be any Holy Ghost. He said unto what then were you baptized? They said unto John. I'm gonna tell you, I don't think John was a failure as a preacher because what he taught caused people to h hold on until a greater truth came. >> And I think my success would be that if I can get this one God message in the hearts and the lives of our young people, even if they go astray, they're not going to wind up one day in some half-truth church that's not giving them the true word of God. They're going to hear something and say, "Man, that don't sound right to me." I remember when I was in the eighth grade, pastor taught a Bible lesson and the pastor said there was only one God and there wasn't any equal to that one God. Come on, mom and dad tonight. Don't you want that for your children right now? I I I don't Don't you want Aren't you sitting here saying, "My God, I want my children even if they backslide that that that that they'll stay." Whether I talk about preaching, I get after preaching right now. Turn with me to John chapter 5 verse number 20. Talking about being co-equal. Let's listen to Jesus in John chapter 5 verse number 20. This is Jesus. This is red red letter. Jesus said in John 5:20. For the father loveth the son and showeth him all things that he himself doeth. and he will show him greater things than these that ye may marvel. Marvel. Now, evidently in this co-equal business, one knows more than the other. Cuz he said he going to show you something. Well, if I already know what you're going to show me, why you going to show it to me? That make sense? So there there's no co-equal. Let's see if we can find something even better. Let's go to John chapter 10. John chapter 10. In verse number uh 29, John chapter 10 verse number 29. This is Jesus again. My father talking about he's talking about his children. He said my father which gave me them and talking about co-equal, right? Is what? Greater than all. and no man is able to pluck them out of my father's hand. Well, now let's go to John chapter 14. John chapter 14 verse number talking about co-equal. John chapter 14 verse number 28. Jesus is going to speak again. Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you. If you love me, you would rejoice because I said, I go unto my father, for my father is Does that sound like co-equal? Does that sound like three co-equal persons? No, it doesn't sound like three co-equal persons. Matthew chap 24 verse number 36. Matthew 24 and verse number 36. Once again Jesus is speaking. He's talking about the end of time. But of that day and hour knoweth no man. No not the angels in heaven but my father. What's the last word? Only only my father. Now turn with me to Mark chapter 13 verse number 32. Mark chapter 13. It's a lot of scripture tonight. It's a lot of scripture because it's a lot of truth. Mark 13:32 we are dismantling this doctrine of the trinity that is not biblical. In Mark chapter 13 verse number 32, but of that day and that hour knoweth no man. No, not the angels which are in heaven. Now watch it. Look what he adds. Neither the what? Neither the son but the father. You see there there's no co-equal because here's the so-called second person that says I don't know when he's coming. Or if you read other verses, I'm coming. I don't even know when I'm coming. That's co-equal. So now let's change the and let's go to co-eternal. What does it mean to be co-eternal? That means each is eternal. Eternity eternal has no beginning and has no ending. It is eternal. But John chapter 3 and verse number 16, a very familiar passage of scripture. John chapter 3 and verse number 16. For God so loved the world that he gave his only what kind of son? >> What kind of son? >> Begotten son. Please beware. If you're going to buy a different translation than King James version, pick up that Bible and read John 3:16. And if it reads something like this, for God so loved the world that he gave his unique son, don't buy it. If you pick up that Bible and it says, "God so loved the world, he gave his he gave he he gave his one of a kind," don't buy it. An easy read may also be an easy way of era. He wasn't one of a kind. He was the only begotten. He was the only begotten. And the word begotten means to have a beginning because the sun is not eternal. You'll never read anywhere in scripture where it says eternal sunship. And we got to be careful because we hear Bible studies on podcast and religious words like the eternal son of God. And that sounds good. It may sound good, but it has no Bible foundation at all. Turn with me if you would to first John, not the Gospel of John, but the first epistle of John, chapter number four and verse number and verse number nine. In this was manifested the love of God toward us because that God sent his only begotten son into the world that we might live through him. So there is no eternal. There's no e co-eternal. There's no such thing as the father is eternal. The son is eternal and the holy ghost is eternal. As a matter of fact, the only time in scripture the only time in scripture nowhere in scripture does it say eternal father. No in nowhere in scripture does it say eternal son. The only place if you turn with me to Hebrews chapter nine. Hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 14. I believe it is. Hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 14 says it this way. How much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offer himself without spot to God purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Nowhere in scripture does it ever say students eternal father or eternal son only eternal spirit. What's the dep how how is that? There was a time God was not a father. God picks up the title of father at creation. When God created the earth and the earth is not eternal but when God created the earth, God becomes the father of creation. And when God became a man, God became the son of redemption. But there has never been a time because God is a spirit. John 4:24. There's been a time that God wasn't a father. There's been a time God wasn't a son. But there's never been a time God has not been the great eternal spirit. Open up your Bible and read the first few verses. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and the spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of the waters. I'm telling you today, just like if I'd use myself as an example, I have not always been a father. I have not always been a pastor. I have not always been a husband. But since the time of my conception, I have been a son. All right? I became a father. I became a husband. I became a pastor just like there's never been a time God has not been an omniresent omnisient all powerful spirit and this great God that we embrace tonight became the father of creation became the son of redemption and this great God is the Holy Ghost in our lives today and in the church of the living God. Not three separate with a title, but one God with three manifestations and an allsaving name. That is his name. Let's move on tonight. How am I doing so far? They're not even They're not even equal in power. Co-equal in power. Look with me if you would to Gospel of Luke 11 verse number 20. I believe it is Lukeap 11 verse number 20. Listen to Jesus. He says, "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is coming to you." Well, I guess if there's three, you'd have to figure out which one he's using. This finger of God. But he says, "If I with the finger of God," in other words, he's he's talking about something else that he's got. But let's let's bring it even clearer. Let's go on over to John chapter 11. Let's find Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus, his friend, and let's see what he does there at the tomb of Lazarus, his friend. John 11 and verse number, I believe it's 41, what I'm looking for. Um, he comes to the to he comes to the tomb. Verse 41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me." Okay. Now, if they're co-equal, why does he have to pray? If the second person possesses the same amount of power as the first person, it's kind of like if there's three people up here tonight and we each have a million dollars. You know, let's say I got a million. I don't, but let's say I got a million. Zach's got a me. He sure doesn't. And brother Eric has got a million. He sure does. He got three girls. He sure doesn't. But let's say brother Hammond and Brother Ericson leave me. I'm not all that bad off, am I? because I still got a million, right? So, if if if if he's got as much power as a first and the third person has, and I'm not making fun. I'm just trying I'm just trying to dismantle this unbiblical teaching that many good people. >> Many good people. >> And just let me let me let me say this there. You you you got to be really careful, too, because you you can become that generation that says, "Ah, I don't know if I'd be that strong. Oh, I don't know if I teach it that way. I Well, just how much corn you got in your crib, bub? >> I mean, if you going if you're going to tell somebody they shouldn't do something, I mean, just how much corn you got in your crib? >> I I and I'm I'm not boasting tonight, but I I think I got a little c corn in my crib. and and and you don't mey mouth around it. It's the truth. >> Are you ashamed of the truth? >> I'm ashamed of the truth. It's it's it's a truth. And how they ever going to get help? Listen to me tonight. Please listen to me. How if this gospel listen to the word tonight, church, listen to the word. Some of you that sit back, I don't think, man, you want to run people off and and no, you're not going to run people off. Right. >> If this gospel be hid, >> it is hid >> to them >> which are lost >> whom the God of this world had blinded their eyes, lest the glorious light of the gospel of God should shine upon them. Whose job is it to shine the light? It's our job to shine the light. He didn't make us mice. He made us preachers. He He made us to proclaim the truth. What are you trying to build? A club or a church? Are you trying to build your church? Are you trying to populate heaven? Oh, I got to get back to teaching y'all. Y'all y'all stop it. Stop it. Stop it. No, you you you you gota you got to proclaim you got to proclaim the truth. Let's go back to John 11, verse number 41. You preach in love. Paul said, speaking the truth in love. He lifted up his eyes, says, "Father, thank thee. I thank thee that you have heard me." Verse 42, "And I knew that thou hearest me always. But because of the people which stand by it, I said that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he had spoken, cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth." Here's where a lot of people want to go. All right. If Jesus is his own father, if Jesus is the father, then who was he praying to on the cross? It's an easy answer. It was humanity praying to deity. That's who he was praying to. His own fatherhood. It was humanity that was praying. It was humanity that was praying to deity. Turn with me real quick for time sake. Just turn with me real quick for time sake. Romans chapter 8. Romans chapter 8 verse number nine. I'm going to show you a little something. Um matter of fact, just I'm I'm going to have to read some scripture. Brother Ericson, could you get a microphone? And would they turn it on and get it good and loud for you? And would you turn to Luke chapter 1 verse number excuse me Luke chapter 11 verse number one. You get that microphone. I'm going to have you read in just a moment Luke 11 and 1 and verse two. But right now I want to read from Romans chapter 8 and verse 9. Verse chapter 8 verse 9. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit. If so be that the spirit of God dwell in you, where's the spirit of God dwell? But if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if verse next verse 10, and if Christ be where >> where's Christ? The body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness. Verse 11. But if the spirit of him that raised up that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell where? >> He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth where? >> In you. Now watch this. Now follow this. Now where is God at in us? He's in us. But wait a minute, brother Ericson, would you read? He said, "When we pray, here's how we pray." >> And it came to pass that as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of the disciples said unto him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples, and he said unto them, when ye pray, say, Our Father, which are in heaven." Now >> watch this. Now, where's Christ at? >> In us. >> When we pray, where do we pray? Wait a minute now. You you you're confusing me. Where's Christ at? >> Inside. >> When we pray, where do we pray toward? >> Father in heaven. >> Here it is. My heart is the place of redemption. What is inside of me is redemption. It is the place of my redemption. It is Christ in me, the hope of glory. >> But where's his throne? His throne is not here. >> His throne is in heaven. That's like a police officer. We could liken him to redemption. A police officer can come and exercise authority over you, but he's got to take you to the county seat where the judge is at. So redemption is on the inside of me, but the throne of God is up in heaven. So who was Jesus praying to? He was humanity just like us when we pray. You don't see me going around here saying, "God, would you help me? Would you would you help me? God, come on, God. Would you?" No, I don't do that because that's my redemption. What you'll find me is this right here. Father, I need your help. Because this is a man reaching out to God saying, "God, I need your help." Who was Jesus praying to on the cross? The man Christ Jesus was praying to the throne room and the authority of God. You have to believe it the biblical way that way or you have to believe that one God is praying to another god. Another place that the precious teachers of the erroneous doctrine of the trinity will want to take you is Genesis chapter 1 and verse number 26. They'll take you here as if it's the death blow to the one God movement. And God said let us make man in our image. I want you to read, brother Ericson. I want you to get ready to read Ephesians chapter 1 and verse number 11. And then, Brother Nolan, you read you you you read Job chapter 38. You start reading at verse three, and I'll let you know when to stop. Brother Ericson, Ephesians 1:11. Brother Nolan. Job 38 verse number three. And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creep creepeth on the face of the earth." And they'll stop there and say, "There's the trinity. There's the let us. There's the trinity at work there. the the let us make man in our image after our likeness. Well, anytime you read the Bible, you need to read on because verse 27, verse 26 says what God said, let us make man. But verse 27 describes, verse 27 will describe him actually doing it. So God created man in his own image in the image of God created circle that he him male and female created he them. Now if you don't want to take the he there the personal pronoun he as one. All right. When me and my wife walk in a restaurant I we us two. I don't walk up and say he wants to see. We say we want to see. All right. So here here's what I'm saying. He uses that word he. But let's go a little further than that. If there is a trinity of three separate persons and this makes up one God. And man, us was made in the image and the likeness of God. Then how many atoms did God make? How many was there? Three. >> If he's if if God is a trinity of persons, then Adam would have been three. There had been three Adams there. Adam number one, Adam number two, and Adam number three. But there was only one Adam there. Because just as God is the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, man is body, soul, and spirit. He's made in the image and in the likeness of God. >> We say, "Brother Carter, but it says God said, "Let us make man." Who's he talking to? Well, here's brother Ericson. Would you read Ephesians 1:11? Here's the possibility. >> In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who workketh all things after the counsel of his own will, that we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. >> He He made all things after what now? >> Well, no, no, read it again. Read it so people can hear. that uh sorry >> in whom also we have obtained an inheritance being predestinated according to the purpose of him who workketh all things after the counsel of his own will. >> Okay here here's he could have been counseling with his own will. He could have been count we know the book of proverbs says that he counseledled with wisdom. He could have been counseling with his own will. That's a great Bible uh understanding that. Or could it be brother Nolan? Won't you stand and see see what Job's going to talk about creation here? >> Job 38 and3. Gird up now about loins. >> No, now it's God. God Job's been popping off to God and God's had about all of it he wants. All right. All start again. >> Gird up now thy loins like a man. >> Said, stand up like a man. >> For I will demand of thee and answer thou me. >> Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? >> Hey, Mr. Know it all. Job, where were you at when I laid the foundations of the earth? >> Declare, if thou hast understanding, >> who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest, or who hath stretched the line upon it? >> Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the cornerstone thereof? >> Yeah. >> When the morning stars sang together, all the sons of God shouted for joy. >> He said, when the stars begin to sing, and when the sons of God did what? shouted for joy. >> That was the angels. They were there at creation. And when God began to create, the angels, what did they do, Brother Nolan? >> Shouted for joy. >> They shouted for joy. There's your second There's your second uh interpretation. If you don't want to believe that he workketh all things after the counsel of his own will, then jump over there and just say, "He was talking to the angels." Gabriel, he was talking to the angel. Hey, let us make man. Or here's a third one. Here's a third one. How about what he made man from? Every other thing he would speak it into existence, but he made man of the dust of the earth. Was he saying to a handful of nothing? Come on, let us make man. Because you without God amount to nothing. But you with God amount to a beautiful cre. Oh my God. All we are, as brother Jeff Arnold says, we're nothing but glorified dirt bags. That's all we are. We're just a bunch of dirt that God has filled with his spirit and with his presence. And can you can you give him praise right now? We're going to pray over some some guest cards here in a moment. Brother Ericson, would you get would you get Luke chapter 1 verse 26? We gonna find out who is Jesus Christ. Luke 1:26. Brother Hammond, come on. You can't miss out on this good fun. You you you grab your Bible and you get Matthew chapter 1 verse number 18. And Nolan, I'm not done with you. You get first 1 Timothy chapter 3:16. How How's everything going tonight? Aren't you thankful? Young people, I love you tonight. Young people, if you ever lose your way and you wind up in a halftruth church, I hope he starts saying first and second, third person and something shakes you and you say, "I got to get out of here because I got to get back to that one guy. I got to get back over across town to where I I won't tell you how powerful it is." Tell how powerful it is. Kenny Johnson could be raised by a mother in the house of God, but Kenny Johnson could could backslide. He could start dating him a little Catholic girl and they could go around to the bars and the little Catholic girl didn't understand when her husband got kind of lit up a little bit. He'd start arguing in that bar that there's only one God and his name is Jesus. Ain't ain't no such thing. Note three. You know how that was in that man? Because once we can get truth into people, you get them drunk, you can get them high. >> I start I start naming people all over this room tonight that you have backslid, been out in the world and told me later while you were in your drug house, you were telling somebody there ain't no such thing as a trinity. There's only one God. Why? That's something that can't get away from you. That That's why I'm teaching it tonight. I I don't want it to get away from you. I don't want it to get Oh, I I My God. There y'all go doing it again. Come on. Whoever I told to read Luke 1:26, read Read it. >> And in the sixth month of the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto the city of Galilee named Nazareth. >> Yeah. >> To a virgin espouseed to a man whose name was Joseph of the house of David. >> Yeah. >> The virgin's name was Mary. Mhm. >> And the angel came in unto her and said, "Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women." And she and when she saw him, she was troubled at his Zane. And casting her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, "Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found favor with God. M >> and behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. >> What are you going to call his name? >> Yes. Go ahead. >> He shall be great, and shall be called the son of the highest. >> And the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David. >> And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end. >> Then said Mary unto the angel, >> listen to Mary, he's talking back now. >> How shall this be seen? I know not a man. >> How how how's this going to happen? I'm a virgin. I've never known a man. >> And the angel answered and said unto her, "The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee." >> Oh, we got some problems now. >> Cuz according to the doctrine of the Trinity, the Holy Ghost is person number three. >> And when Mary asked the angel, I guess he was telling the truth, right? >> Yes, sir. >> He's telling the truth. When Mary said, "How's this going to be? I've never known a man. And the angel said, "The Holy Ghost is going to come on you >> and you're going to conceive." Now, I don't know how you do math and how you figure things out, but if there's three, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, then God three is the father of God, too. >> Come on. I I really ain't trying to be funny. I just want to get you to see this. You got to study this out. >> The Holy Ghost shall do what? I'm You're not done, brother. The Holy Ghost shall what? >> How shall this be? Seen no man. An angel answered and said unto her, the Holy Ghost shall come unto thee, >> and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee. >> Yes. >> Therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God. >> That's verse 35. All right, you be seated. Brother Hammond, would you stand? Now, this is Joseph. Now, this is Joseph. Matthew 1:18. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on the wise when as his mother Mary was a spouse to Joseph before they came together she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. >> Child found with child who? >> The Holy Ghost. >> Yeah, there's that third one again. All right, let's go. >> Then Joseph her husband being a just man and not willing to make her a public example was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Yep. >> Sorry, I got a real Bible here. Appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not >> to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. >> Oh wow. >> And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus. >> Yes. >> For he shall save his people from their sins. >> Oh yes. Now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord by the prophet saying, "Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel." >> Call his name what? >> Emmanuel. >> Emmanuel, which is what >> interpreted is God with us. >> There you go. He's God with us. >> He's not He's not one of the gods with us. He's the almighty God >> that is with us. Come on, brother Nolan. Time is running out here. Tommy, run now. 1 Timothy 3:16. >> And without controversy, >> that means that means no debating. That means no arguing. That means no debating. That means no arguing. That means no creeds. All right? And without controversy. Come on. >> Great is the mystery of godliness. >> That word godliness, there's godlikeness. Great is the mystery of godlikeness. Now, you're you're going to find this out a lot of times. you're going to be equipped to be able to to to tell people that this doctrine is a man-made doctrine. And what you're going to find, those that are not hungry are going to say this, let's just end this conversation. It's a mystery. >> It's just a mystery. But then you need to close out with 1 Timothy 3:16. And without controversy, read it again, Brother Nolan. >> And without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. >> Here it is. >> God was manifest in the flesh. >> God was manifest. The word manifest means to make known. It means to appear because God is an invisible spirit and we cannot see him. But the only way we can see him is for God to be made known to us in the flesh. And he did it through the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's why we worship him. That's why he is the object of our affection. That's why we want to know him more. Because to know Jesus more is to know God more. Come on, stand with me right now. Stand with me right now. You're not done. Oh, are you? >> It was justified in the spirit, >> seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory. >> All right, Brother Nolan, I'm not done with you yet. Could y'all take two more scripture readings? >> My My wife says sometimes, she said, "You ask people something." Said, "What are you going to say one of these times?" I say, "No." What are you going to say? say I rebuke you. Go to 1 Timothy 2 1 Timothy 2 chapter 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse number six. Boy, I sure do enjoy preaching this. 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse number three. Excuse me. I'm sorry. 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse number three. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our savior who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Yes. >> For there is one God. >> There is how many? >> One. >> One. >> Uh-huh. And >> one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. >> That's right. There's only one God. >> And there's only one mediator. >> The what? >> The man. >> The man. Christ Jesus. One more. I asked for I asked for two. You You said two. Here's a second one. Uh here's a second one. Here's a second one. Job 9:32. Job 9:32. And brother Nolan, you get that one. Job 9:32. >> For he is not a man as I am that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. >> He's talking about God. He said, "He's not a man like I am that we could come together." Go back to verse 32. "God's not a man, for he is not a man as I am that I should answer him and we should come together and judge him." Said, if he is a man, we could go down to the courthouse, get this settled right now. But listen to what Job cries out for. Verse 33. >> Neither is there any daysman betw twix us that might lay his hand upon us both. A daysman is a mediator. He said, "There's not a mediator that could come down between me and God and lay one hand on God >> and another man on me." Job, you're right. Not at that time, >> but there would come a mediator >> that would say, "No man cometh unto the Father >> but by me." It would be one man that could touch God because he was God. If you've seen me, you've seen the father. But it would be one man that could lay his hand on God and another man that could come. Aren't you glad that God, if it hadn't been for the mediator, we would still be lost in our sin because no man has seen God and been able to live. But God robed himself in flesh that he could come. Oh my God. That he could come down. That he could come down. I Come on, let's worship a little bit. He came down. He came down. Oh, he came down. He came down. He came down. That's why father's not a name. Son is not a name. And holy ghost is not a name. There's only one saving name and it's not father and it's not son and it's not holy ghost. The saving name is the name of Jesus. God came down and robed himself in flesh so that we could have forgiveness for our sin. Come on, praise him with me right now. I love the truth of God's word tonight. I love the truth of God's word tonight. Come on, praise him with me. You went down in the name of Jesus Christ. You could not have went down in Jesus' name if Jesus wasn't the almighty God. For who can forgive sins but God only? >> I don't care if it is 5 to 9. Anybody want to get baptized in Jesus name tonight? You raise your hand. Tell somebody beside you, hey, I got to go get baptized. I was sprinkled. Hey, I got to go get baptized. I got to get immersed. I was sprinkled. Hey, I got to get baptized. The preacher said over me, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He said, 'Well, I I I really don't know. I I think I was baptized in Jesus name. Call the church where you were. And asked them, did y'all baptize me in Jesus name for the remission of my sins? >> Oh, God is so good, isn't he? >> God is so good. Brother Hammond, you want to come up and finish your ser? God is so good. Brother White, God is so good. Am I Do Do y'all appreciate the good truth tonight? Don't go yet. Y'all y'all appreciate the good truth tonight. Run on up here, Hampton. Run on up here right now. Run on up here right now. Come on, Hampton. Run on up here right now. You know why you're here? You know why you're here, Hampton? You're Great J. Frank Wilson. What is he? Great great >> great two great. Your great great grandfather preached this message. Your great-grandfather preached this message. And both of your grandfathers preach this message. Your father preaches this message. Don't take it for don't don't take it for granted, church. >> We can get so far away from the truth that we just think that we're just saying the same thing. No, we're not saying the same thing. >> No, no, no. Where we say tomato tomato ain't tomato tomato. >> It's title name. Title name. It's one and three. We ain't saying the same thing. Just get that off the list. You ain't saying the same thing. I ain't done yet. I'm sorry. Just stand right. I know. I love you. But we got we we got a devil trying to rape these young people. >> We got a devil trying to rape these young people. And if you you'll be foolish to start dating somebody and get involved with somebody. Well, we're saying the same. We're not saying the same thing. It's a title. It's a name. It's three. And it's one. Come on. >> >> It's salvation. It's a salvation issue. Well, you you really think it's a salvation issue? I don't think it's a salvation issue. Jesus said it was a salvation issue. Jesus said, "If you do not believe that I am he, you will die in your sins. I don't want to die in my sins." Come on. I I wish we'd break loose and praise him right now. Hey, I wish we'd break loose and praise him right now. Everybody's got to know. Everybody's got to know. Everybody's got to know. Everybody's got to know. Everybody's got to know who Jesus is. God raised us up 45 years ago on May the 3rd. 45 years ago, James and Judy Artwood started an apostolic church in this city. God raised us up to tell this message. I don't know how you're going to do this, Brother Hammond, but I think I just want to ask somebody maybe maybe just be one or two come. But if you're so thankful for the truth, >> Yeah. >> that you'd step out of your seat and come down to this altar and just worship him for a moment. If you got to go home, you got to go to work. Some of you men get up at 4:00. I understand. Slip on out right now. Slip on. Nobody's going to think hard of you right now. Nobody's going to think what? Oh God. Lord, I want my grandkids to hear it this strong. Oh God, I want my grandbabies to hear it this strong. Oh God, I want my sons and daughters to hear it this strong. Oh God, if I die, God, you you've not come and I die and I have great grandchildren. God, I want somebody to hear my prayer. I want somebody to preach it just as strong. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. Don't ever go to a church that don't preach it strong. Don't ever go to a church that's intimidated to preach it. Don't ever go to a church. Oh. Oh God. Oh God. I'm so burdened. Oh God. I'm so burdened. Oh God. I'm so burdened. Don't ever God, I pray to you right now tonight, Jesus. God, if the rapture is not coming for another hundred years, God, and I lay down in some graveyard here in this town, and Lord, I have great great grandchildren, God, let them attend a church that preaches it just as strong tonight. Oh, God, I don't want to be in love with the world. I don't want to be in love with the world. God, pray that prayer with me right now. Would you please pray that prayer with me right now? Come on, pray that prayer with me right now if you care. If you care, pray that prayer with me right now. Oh God, Come on. Oh. Oh, God. Please remember tonight. I'm I apologize, Brother Hammond. I apologize, but would you please remember tonight the creeds that brought the doctrine of the Trinity? It was along that same time that they were burning men at the stake. Don't don't just take my word for it. Search it out in history. They burn men at the stake. This same religious group of men and women had other men burn at the stake. Why? They translated the Bible into a common language. And it was a crime. So anytime you start thinking this is a spiritual doctrine, you got to remember of all the persecution that went on, burning men, burning men at the stake, keeping a Bible chained to a pullpit, keeping it in a language that the common man didn't know, so you could keep the common man in the dark. >> But thank God for hungry men like Martin Luther. Thank God for men through the Reformation that kept saying like Sunny Field and there's more. >> There's more. There's more. >> We have what's called the Protestant movement. And the Protestant movements taken from the word protest. It was men and women that begin to protest against the Catholic Church and begin to protest against it. And Martin Luther saw a little verse of scripture that said, "The just shall live by faith." Martin Luther got a hold of a scripture. The just shall not live by the pentance that is purchased at the hands of a priest, but the just shall live by the faith of the son of God. And here come along more truth. And here come along more truth. But all a while since the day of Pentecost, you listen to this 5'7 inch green eye preacher right now. Ever since the day of Pentecost, there's always been a one God Jesus name waterbaptized church of the living God. You say, "Well, what about Isuza Street?" We didn't come out of Isuza Street. We came out of the book of Acts. I don't know about you, but I'm glad what I'm in tonight. I'm glad what I'm in tonight. My God. I could put this Bible on my head and start dancing right now. I'm glad for what I'm in right now. Just one more time before Brother Hammond comes. Shak spirit speak to us God. >> Can't get it out of me. Can't get away from it. Got the anointing dripping on me tonight. I can't I can't get away from it. I can't get out of it. I can't can't get away from it tonight. I can't I can't get away from it tonight. I can't I can't get away from 1 Timothy 3 verse number 16 without controversy. Great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifested in the flesh seen justified in the spirit se seen of angels preached to the Gentiles believed on in the world received up into glory. Now you do understand this. You do understand this not don't you church that that in when the Bible was being written the the Bible wasn't being written in chapters and verses. This later came by the translators that would put it in chapters and verses so that we could be easily defined books in the Bible so it would read just as one constant letter. Let's read it as one constant letter. Now we're going to go into 1 Timothy chapter 4 and verse number one. And I do apologize to you tonight, but I just want to sleep good tonight and I want you good people to love this precious truth right now. So when I start reading 1 Timothy 3:16, I'm going to go into John uh 1 Timothy chapter 4 verse number one. But in the Bible days when it was given it all read is one thing. So let's see if we can shed some light and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh justified in the spirit. A scene of angels preached under the Gentiles believed on in the world received up in the the into glory. Now the spirit speaketh expressedly that in the latter time some should depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Can I tell you something? Anytime there's a revelation of who Jesus is, there's a devil of deception that's right behind. There's a devil of deception that's right behind. But I got news for the devil of deception. We're going to preach truth. We're going to believe in truth. We're going to rejoice in truth. Devil of deception, get away from our young people. Devil of deception, get away from our church. We believe in one God and we worship only one God. >> >> speaking lies and hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, guess who that is? Forbidding to marry, guess who that is? Commanding to abstain from meats which God had created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. And it goes on and on and on and on. But you got to believe it. that where hell wants to roost is right here at this true church >> because error doesn't bother him. Error is the diluting of God's power. But when you get a pure church that's running on pure 100% truth, Satan says, "I got to stop it. I got to do everything. I got to do everything in my power to stop it." I mean it this time. Lift your hands. Brother Hammond, come right now.
