oh oh let's give god some praise men come on man let's make some praise in this house to god oh let's make some praise to him tonight great is the lord and greatly to be praised praise the lord brethren so good to see everybody in the house of the lord tonight and i want you to invite i want to invite your attention to the 12th chapter of the book of exodus the 12th chapter of the book of exodus and we will begin reading at verse number 1 we'll read all the way exodus 12 all the way down verse number 5. and i certainly do appreciate you men being at church leading leading the way and i have got um i've got something to boast about tonight and that is a great group of men here at first apostolic church verse number 1 and the lord spake unto moses and aaron in the land of egypt saying if you go ahead tell you what go ahead and bring my monitors down what what happens brother andy when the monitors get real loud i'm fearful i may be too loud out there so if you go ahead and bring my monitors down just a little bit please and the lord spoken to moses and aaron in the land of egypt saying this month shall be unto you the beginning of months it shall be the first month of the year to you speak ye unto all the congregation of israel saying in the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb say that with me a lamb every man a lamb according to the house of their fathers a lamb for a house and if the household be too little for the lamb let let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb for the lamb your lamb shall be without blemish a male of the first year ye shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats father in the name of jesus tonight i ask you to help me as the pastor of this church god help me to lead these men god help me o lord to lead us god into a deeper fuller richer relationship with you god may i say that they could follow me as i follow you lord jesus god help us tonight help me lord in the name of jesus to teach and to lead this group of men god in jesus wonderful name i pray amen and amen you may be seated i want to speak to you tonight on the structure of the man the structure of the man many of you may have heard pastor pray in the prayer room if you've been if you've been around me any time i have what i refer to as the order of creation prayer the order of creation i pray it very often and that is i begin to pray for our men first i pray for our men first because man was created first after i pray for the men i then go and i pray for our women our wives i pray for them and what i pray for us men is that we would fulfill our job description our our biblical job description that god has given us and that biblical job description is that we are leaders of our home we are the leadership we are the leaders of our home now why it's very important for us to emphasize leadership is that without fail leadership determines direction direction your family is going in the direction that you are leading them in now when i when i make that statement i do understand that there are times that families get out of order i do understand that there are times that families come to the church and i'd like to tell you that when they get converted born again that all of that dysfunctional stuff goes away but it doesn't all right and they need to understand the man needs to understand according to the bible he has a job description and that job description is that he is a leader now a leader always has vision he knows where his family or he knows where he wants his family to go he knows the he knows where he the direction that he wants his family to go so the man determines the leadership of the family he determines the direction of the family although the women are not in here tonight i am i am privy to know what your wives are being taught tonight and your wives are being taught what their job description is and their job description is that they set the atmosphere in the home their their job is to set the right atmosphere in the home or i could use the word aroma or i could use the word fragrance you you do realize you do realize that long before men wore cologne women were wearing perfume all right kind of goes with her with their nature because their their leadership or their job description is that they set they set the aroma or they set the atmosphere that's in the home but the women are not in here so it would be very futile of me to spend much time on that so i'm going to spend my time on what we are called to do and we are called to set the direction we are called we are called for the direction what direction my family is going in now have you ever heard someone say hey let's get on the same page hey let's let's all get on the same page you ever you heard somebody say to you and what they're really what they're really saying is uh let's get to let's let's agree on this let's let's get on the same page when god was going to bring israel out of bondage in chapter 12 he stopped and he said i know it's been moses i know the main character of the narrative is moses and a supporting actor would be aaron all right but god says it's time for all the men in israel all the men it's time for us to get on the same page and so in the verses one through five that i read to you it involved verse number verse number three if we could just look at that again moses speaking on behalf of god said to the men speak into all the congregation of israel saying in the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb every man a lamb not just moses not just aaron not just a few every man should take a lamb the spiritual success of your family hinges upon you having a relationship with the lamb now i know that's i'm not gonna have to have you be seated but that is such a true statement if you don't have a relationship with the lamb you're not going to get your family out of egypt because god said moses i know you've been the star of the show you've got a rod i know you got you you and your brother been doing some great things but in order to deliver the whole nation out every man in israel has got to take a lamb it's interesting to note the wording if you write in your bible you ought to write this you ought to you ought to circle this in verse number three he says take a lamb a lamb in verse number four he says take thee lamb and in verse number five he said take your lamb well a lamb can be any lamb a lamb can be any lamb jesus christ is not a way he is the way but yet the lamb just can't be the lamb the next time you read about it it is velam well just because the lamb may be taken it's really not going to do much for you until it becomes your lamb your lamb you know i remember and i'll share with you some early days of pastoring there's a lot of pastoral convictions and standards that are not just really clear in scripture although scripture get does give the man of god the pastor of the church the spiritual authority to set boundaries around and there's a lot of that would be a bible study but to itself but i can remember as 23 24 year old pastor can you imagine that 23 or 4 24 year old pastor i taught standards and i would find myself saying now this is what my pastor teaches this is what my pastor teaches my pastor says this my pastor says that and that began to bother me just a little bit because i was actually preaching my pastor's standards and i remember and not don't nobody think i'm some spiritual guru but i remember going on and extended fast to the point that i actually broke the fast because i started spitting up some blood and i was fasting because i didn't want to have a lamb or i didn't want to have the lamb something that belonged to somebody else i wanted to have your lamb i wanted to have my lamb i wanted to be something i didn't want it to be hearsay secondhand i wanted to get up and say this is my this this is what i believe the lord wants us to do this is a lamb the lamb your lamb it's good you may have confidence in your leadership but that's only going to take you so far in your family your family is going to be changed and led in the right way not because i have the lamb it's because you can go home tonight and say the lamb is mine it's your lamb it's my lamb the lamb the lamb is mine if you really look at this this can be typology in the bible do you remember when isaac and abraham were going up the hill and isaac said to his father where is the lamb where is the lamb that was his quest that was his question brother ben where is the lamb well if you stop right there take it all the way to john the baptist in the jordan river he answers that because when jesus come walking down the shore john the baptist said behold the lamb of god all right that's a lamb and the lamb but a lamb that is alive is not a lamb that is powerful the lamb is only the lamb when the lamb's blood has been shed isaac in the old testament said where is the lamb john said behold the lamb of god but in the book of revelation what you and i enjoy is a song that goes like this worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive glory and honor and praise forever i don't want to be with isaac i don't want to be with john the baptist i want to be over there in the book of revelation saying worthy is the lamb can you say amen seems i stumbled upon this today um a lamb the lamb your lamb a lamb the lamb your lamb when it comes to the doctrine of the bible the teaching of the bible you've got to have the spiritual leadership that this is not a lamb well this is one of many truths it's one of many you've got to get in your mind that this is the way that you want your family to be led look look at luke chapter 2 verse 11 just for a moment we'll come back to moses luke chapter 2 and verse number 11 look at this keep in mind a lamb the lamb and your lamb for unto you is born this day in the city of david a savior a savior which is christ the lord born this day in the city of david a savior turn with me to john chapter 4 verse number 42 and the woman and and said unto the woman now we believe because of thy saying for we have heard him ourselves and know that this is indeed the christ the savior of the world a lamb the lamb your lamb a lamb the lamb your lamb they said for unto you is born a savior the woman at the well testified and said the savior has come into the world but i want this next to be my testimony luke chapter 1 verse 46 listen to mary listen to mary and mary said my soul doth magnify the lord and my spirit hath rejoiced in god my savior god my savior i want to fall i want to be with mary tonight i don't want to have a savior in my life i don't want to have the savior in my life i want to have my savior in my life i want to have something in my home that is my lord and my god be wonderful people have often said oh i'd just like to live at the church it seems like i could i can just do so good living here at the church well that's true but that's not good god didn't call us to be a bunch of monks he didn't call us to hibernate he called us to evangelize and the way that we're going to take this to our homes tonight is not having the attitude of a savior or the savior or a lamb or the lamb men the way we're going to change the direction of our homes is for that lamb to become my lamb that's my lamb tonight we love our church we love our pastor we love our leadership at the church but hey family this is my lamb tonight and as for me and my house we're going to serve the lord we're going to serve god we're going to serve god come on men that's the way that god that's the way that god wants us to be well now that it is your lamb he said i want going back to exodus he said i want all of you this is the beginning of the new year for you i want every man to take a lamb i want every man to take a lamb so you talk about uniformity you talk about unity every man in israel that wanted to be delivered that is on the tenth day of the month was looking for a lamb but not just any lamb had to be a year old not just a year old had to be without blemish he had to take it and on the 10th day of that month you had to separate it from the other lambs from the goats you had to separate it and you had to put it over by itself you had to put it over by itself for four days four as a testing time you had to you had to put it put around test look at it and see does it have the does it have the the right behavior four days you just put it over the side and then on the fourth day every man not just some men not just some men but every man was to take was to take the lamb if you go with me to verse number um go with me to chapter 12 verse number 12. and you've got the lamb every man's got the lamb every man you've got your lamb i can see it brother long i can see a man coming back from the market or back from the field and he went out and he he he first began to look at a lamb and then he he zeroed in on one and said that might be the lamb but when he reached down and got a hold of it whereas i my wife for the longest time had to correct me because i was used to saying hoped go down and get a hoax of it all right she'd say honey it's hold well get down she's not here tonight get down and get a hold of it when you got a hold of it it wasn't a lamb anymore and it wasn't the lamb anymore it was your lamb all right what you got under your arm it's my lamb right here it's not hey is that a lamb you got under the no that's not a lamb this is my lamb i got under my arm and that's my prayer for all of us tonight is that we're going to leave this series of lessons not with a lamb or not with the lamb but we're going to leave this series of lessons saying i've got i've got i've got my lamb under my arm tonight and then on the on the 14th day of the month all of them verse number 12 exodus 12 and 12 god says for i will pass through the land of egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of egypt both man and beast and against all the gods of egypt i will execute judgment i am the lord and the blood shall be to you for a token or sign upon the houses where ye are and when i see the blood when i see the blood i will pass over you and the plague shall shall not be upon you to destroy you when i smite the land of egypt men tonight it is of necessity that we believe the bible and that we believe that the lord is coming and that we believe in a thing called the rapture of the church well it's never happened before that's right it's never happened before but it's going to happen some people fail to believe and buy into the bible because there's certain things that have never happened before can i tell you egypt had never been devastated like egypt had been devastated but just because god put ten plagues upon them god wasn't finished with them god was going to totally destroy the nation it god was going to the nation of egypt the the nation of egypt god was going to that it was going to only survive now listen to this men egypt was going to only survive to be a testimony to what god did to her that's the only reason that you find egypt existing for a few hundred years after the passover is because god left her just enough alive that nations would come by and say what in the world happened to you you once was the most mightiest nation on the face of the earth what in the world happened to you and somebody would say the god of the hebrews got a hold of them the god of the hebrews did this the god they're out there going from here to canaan land but the god brethren listen to me tonight listen to me tonight the lord is coming the lord is coming i know that's something that you hear well it's never happened before they were saying it's never happened before we've always rebounded here i've been on the rebound as a nation it's never it's never happened before but it's going to happen men just as sure as we're in this room tonight jesus christ is going to come back for his church now i want my family to be in that church when we say he's coming back for the church what are you talking about families are going to make up the church isn't this the truth tonight do you know how strong our church is just as strong as our families you don't have a strong church and a strong church makes strong families not necessarily strong families make a strong church people fill in every pew in this building does it make this a strong church we we can we can we've got plans there's a riser seating that goes in here and goes up the wall in the back seat six more hundred people put us put our capacity here to seat about two thousand people if we put everybody in a seat but can i tell you if one day we had two thousand people in this room doesn't mean it's a it's a strong church what a strong church is is when all of us men are on the same page we're all on the same page you're not riding my coattail to heaven and i'm not riding your coattail to heaven we've all got our lamb my lamb your lamb we've all got a lamb and we're taking it to our different residents tonight we're taking it home with us and the bible says take your lamb and i'm going to plague and said when i see the blood the blood will be assigned to you when i see the blood i will pass over you go down to verse number 21 then moses exodus 12 and 21 then moses called for all the elders of israel and said unto them draw out and take you a lamb according to your families and kill the land to kill the passover and ye shall take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin and strike the lentil and the two side post with the blood that is in the basin and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning now the door of every israelite house in egypt every man was doing the same thing every hebrew every israelite every man was doing the same thing tenth day of the month they went and got a lamb kept it four days on the 14th day of the month they went and got that lamb and they took that lamb to the doorway of their home they took it to the doorway of their home men we have leadership we decide what goes in our homes we decide what comes in to our homes they took that lamb to the doorway of their home and they killed that lamb by slitting its throat in the doorway of their home then they went and got a small little bush that the leaves on it was like spongy it absorbed hyssop and they took the hyssop that little bush and they dipped it in the basin now many of us are thinking that a basin is just a bowl but not in this application if you you read the different meanings of the word basin it means threshold threshold their threshold was had a small u shape in it and they killed the lamb and shed the blood in the threshold although it's called in scripture a basin the blood was in that their threshold it was in that u-shaped threshold then they took that hyssop and stuck it down in the basin or the threshold and they struck the top lenel the support a lentil is a support it's what a lentil is a lentil is a support they took the blood and they they dipped this this and they struck it up on the lentil and then they dipped it and they struck it on the two side posts of the house and then they said don't go out until the morning now do you visualize this when they went into the house they will totally covered by the blood they had blood beneath them they had blood over them and they had blood side beside and said don't go out until the morning men the lamb is not effective until the lamb sheds his blood for the life of the flesh is in the blood there's another interesting thing about the door of a house there's another interesting thing i want my house symbolically i want my house to look just like that house in the old testament i want there to be blood in the threshold blood on the mantle and i want them to be blood down the side for my footsteps the first time my footstep leaves a bloody print i want it to be on the inside of my house don't you follow this now they shed the blood there at the door and the first bloody footprint was inside the house when they left egypt the next morning the next bloody footsteps was outside the house i submit that before we try to reach anybody we make sure we make bloody footprints inside of our own house praise god i want some bloody footprints inside of my house i i mean i want listen i want i want for my family to be saved pray for your wives men pray for your wives women women today face a lot of pressure we do too we do too but god made us tough let's just understand that god made us men tough we've got strength we've got strength that women don't have so we'll all need to be prayed for get your thumb out of your mouth you got strength god made you four tough get you i mean god made god made you tough god made you to be responsible and i'm gonna be responsible for my house my wife needs to be prayed for and listen there's nobody that can pray for my wife like me some of y'all may think you know my wife you don't know my wife ain't nobody can touch god i have things in my heart i have an affection toward that woman there ain't none of you god should have ain't none of you got what i've got for her and can i tell you something else them kids that fill my house they ain't nobody touch god like i can touch god for them kids oh ain't nobody can get down and get a hold of god like i can listen you may think i love fallon and i love chad and i love paris and windsor and london and i love zach and lorne and hampton beckham and i love i love nolan and flander i love you sure you i believe that you love them you show them you love but you don't love them like i love them see we sing that song you don't know like i know what he's done listen you can't pray you can't pray for my family like i can pray for my family i can ring the prayer bells of heaven i can shake the gates of hell for my family because i've got something for my wife you don't have i've got something for my men pray for your wives pray for your wife don't don't don't don't listen listen you you may you may be able to get uh you may be able to hire a boy to mow your grass you may be able to hire somebody to wash your car you may be able to hire somebody to pressure wash your house but you can't hire somebody to pray for your family only you can do that but oh when you do that if you could understand if you can just understand the bloody footprints the bloody fruit matter of fact it's in the bible i'm not making this up it's in the it's in the bible the requirements the requirements the requirements for being a leader in the church the requirements for being a leader in the church was that a man should know how to rule well his own house he said if he can't rule well his own house how's he going to rule well the house of god brothers y'all see this tonight the bloody footprints before we try to make bloody footprints into africa and asia before we try to get a ministry and put bloody footprints all up and down uh the states put some bloody footprints in your house and stay in the house i like this stay in the house till morning stay in the house eat the lamb don't don't just don't don't just don't just don't just talk about the blood because there was more to that story than them just smearing blood in a circle he said after that you take the lamb and he said don't eat of it raw don't eat of it raw he said don't you take the lamb in the house but don't you eat it raw and of course that has meaning the heathens did that and then he said don't don't have it sodden don't don't boil it don't boil it he said i want you to roast it in fire i want you to roast it in the fire i want the lamb that you've got to go through the fire i i don't want it to be raw i don't eat it raw like heathens do and i don't want you to boil it in water try to make it as tender as you can he said i want you to i want you to roast it in the in the fire the first thing we can build our lives on jesus christ men because he's been through the fire we can build our lives on jesus christ men because he's been through the fire but then moses said he said leave all of the pertinence inside in other words the liver all the all the insides i want you to leave that and i want you to eat that you say why one of the reasons is obvious it was high in protein it was extreme there were certain parts of the lamb that's not high in protein but the that liver that that liver and those the the the the heart things like that that is so high in protein and they're going to need protein because they were going to go on a march there they were going to need they're going to need their strength men now the liver and the heart and and the lungs may not be the delicacy of the lamb it may not be the bell i want them lamb chops is what i want man give me them lamb chops i i want that part of the lamb that tastes good i want them miracle signs and wonders i i want them to give ten dollars on sunday night and get a hundred dollars on monday morning i i won't i i want that i want that i want that well that's part of the lamb but you know what else you need you need some of those things inside of the lamb that says be a man of prayer be a man of your word be a man of faithfulness be a man of consistency be a man be be a man of leadership be a man of honesty be a man of integrity be a man now sometimes those are parts of the teaching that don't taste too good but if god's going to make anything out of you and i come on men let's be real let's let's be real there's some things god wants us to eat tonight that's not going to taste good sometimes we have to eat some things that's in our lives it's not our wife's fault it's not our kids fault it's not our mother-in-law's fault our father-in-law's fault it's not our pastor's fault there's some things we need to eat tonight and swallow that's our own fault and god will never make of us what we need to be until we're man enough to say well listen god can never make of us what he needs to make until we're strong enough to admit to ourself that we have areas of our life that needs to be improved upon we've got areas of our lives that need to be improved upon and so he said i want you to take this and i want you to do this and when i see the blood i will pass over let me let me read verse 23 of the same chapter for the lord will pass through to smite the egyptians and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel and on the two side post the lord will pass over the door and will not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you now the next thing i want i've got down to say the next thing i've got down to say is this how foolish they looked in the eyes of egypt how foolish they looked how foolish the egyptians were looking at have you seen what them crazy hebrew men are doing can you believe there is a shortage in there's a shortage in sheep why them crazy hebrew me they're so crazy they are so crazy them create all of them all of them i'm telling you all of them on the as a matter of fact they don't even have the same calendar we got they're they're not even on the same page with us they're crazy they're out there buying sheep what in the world and and did you hear that did you i mean some 600 000 men left egypt you can't tell me that when 600 000 men let's let's drop it down to 400 000 men are killing sheep and those sheep are are are are making a sound you can't believe it on i i'd have a hard time not believing that those egyptians said y'all hearing that y'all y'all listen listen up those sheep what in the world on the 14th day well somebody they're smearing blood all over the doorpost they don't even look like our home they don't they don't they're a bunch of they're crazy they have lost their mind look look all of them down there smearing blood and then you've got their old leader up there their old leader that he got out in the desert and got his head baked in the sun to it he's come down here saying something about god's going to come through the land and going to smite everybody unless you've got the blood the death angel is going to come don't you know that they look foolish to egypt now men let me just tell you something tonight i don't care how we look to the world but i don't want you to get sidetracked and stop doing what you know to do is right because what the world says or thinks about you who cares who cares now i i would not and i and i'm going to start telling a little story here i don't want to i don't want the person sitting here think i'm going to go into a name i'm not going to go into a name because it's very personal but we had we had someone at a doctor's office this week and they began to ask the child the mother took the child in and they begin to ask the child it goes i may not be word for word but begin to ask the child when you were born what gender did you pick for yourself what do you like to be called what uh he she is there something that you like what do you what gender do you want to go about well the mother mother tends church here she was appalled she stood back and began to question and and the lady told her said we i i have to do this now it's required of us to do this now what gender i don't think the church has lost its mind choosing your gender come on men we're all men in here tonight come on choosing your gender that's already been chosen but we got a crazy world but the only way satan behind the scenes can pull the strings he's got to convince the world that we're crazy look at him crazy yeah both are crazy fools over there smearing blood saying the death angel the rapture is going to come and poop we're all going to pop out of here and they're all going to be gone man can you believe people would actually go and listen to their their preacher is he's crazy there's something wrong he actually teaches those people down there that they should live in the fear of god imagine that and that one day a trumpet die is going to sound and that they're going to be caught up to be with jesus in this can you actually believe that's going to happen can you can you imagine this they were foolish to them but brother about midnight when all over the land of egypt they begin to go check on the firstborn in their house and they move their firstborn speak get get get up little egyptian get up honey or you still and all of a sudden a mother cries from one house because the firstborn child is dead the firstborn of cattle in egypt began to die and even pharaoh goes his firstborn brother perry represented his future the firstborn of the the pharaoh represented the next pharaoh but somebody called him said you got to come quick because your firstborn son is dead and just like the day before there was the there was the sound of lambs being crucif being slain on the hills in goshen the city of egypt is all in turmoil because the death angel has come through and brother didn't they change their tune but it's too late to change your tune after the rapture has already happened men tonight we are blessed to know this great truth let's take the lamb tonight not a lamb and not the lamb but could we leave here tonight having my lamb on the inside could we just pray right now oh god let the lamb be my lamb tonight oh god forgive me of my sins god forgive me of my stubbornness god god wake me up to lead my family and to guide my family lord god wake me up god wake me up god in the name of jesus christ oh god do that tonight do that tonight can i tell you i don't know how i don't know how these news i'm pretty sure i'm pretty sure they'll have a way of painting over while there's a great number of people that are missing oh they'll probably say something about we've all got up here in some mountains and we're hiding out let them say what they may they made fun before but when the sun turns into blood and hell begins to drop out of the sky the book of revelation says about the size of a hundred and twenty-five pounds begins to pound boy we we think it's something when we get golf ball-sized hell you wait till it starts falling 125 pounds peace way to all kind of pestilence breaks out that they don't have a vaccine for i don't want to be on that side let me read us a scripture first corinthians chapter 1 verse number 18. men listen to this very closely first corinthians chapter 1 verse number 18 for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish what what is it foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the power of god imagine that putting blood on the doorpost and across the lentil it was the biggest foolish thing they could think of but to the little families huddled on the inside it proved to be the power of god for it is written i will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent where is the wise where is the scribe where is the disputer of this world hath not god made foolish the wisdom of this world for after that in the wisdom of god the world by wisdom knew not god it pleased god it pleased god it pleased god that by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe for the jews require a sign and the greeks seek after wisdom give me verse 23 but we preach christ crucified unto the jews of stumbling block unto the greek's foolishness go ahead but unto them which are called both jews and gentiles christ the power of god and the wisdom of god which side of these scriptures are you going to be on tonight men are you going to be on the side it's foolishness what's going on it's foolishness i bring my family and i set them down and a man gets up there frail in his arms and and he seems to be outdated it seems the things that he says are so outdated and we're living in a different culture now and and all of these things it seems foolishness go ahead and lead your family that way and dad when you think it's foolish your wife will soon think it's foolish and when the husband and wife think it's foolish the kids will think it's foolish and then they'll never darken the only doors that can give them salvation but give me a man i don't want to stay there tonight give me a man that says this is not foolish tonight brother carpenter this is not foolish what we're doing right now this is the power of god this is how god is going to strengthen us this is how god is going to take it wrap his arms this and there'll be healing in our marriages there'll be healing in our marriages i want to take the last few minutes of this men if you have not been the leader of your home that you need to be it will be a painful conversation because you're going to have to admit you're wrong oh i don't admit if i admit i'm wrong i'll tell you i i think i'll lose my manly hood no you won't lose your manly hood you'll gain respect in the eyes of your wife when you'll open up and say honey i've not been we've had these lessons in the auditorium and it's dawned on me that i've not really been the spiritual leader of our home that i need to be and i want you to help me let's get a vision what vision do we want for our marriage you know honey i'm tired that at least once a month you and i have a knock down drag out may be seated i'm tired every once a month or every six weeks we have a knock down drag out you go spend a few nights at mom's your mom's or i go spend a few nights down here at the hotel and finally after a few days we kind of get back together and then another six weeks later we have another can i tell you men that's not normal and that's not healthy for your family honey let's first identify areas let's first now now the first thing the first thing a lot of irritations come to our lives when we don't pray it's called our flesh your flesh has never and will never be content and satisfied so if there's irritation in your life you got to check your prayer life honey let's pray together i i don't really know how to pray much but we might just hold hands and and and god just help us today and and god help me today god help me with my struggles today but honey i want you and i to be on the same page i want you and i to be on the same page and i i'm needing i want to become the spiritual leader of this home now if there's things that you've done if there's if there's words and things that you've done that's damaged your reputation as a leader you might get the kids involved in this are you for real i'm for real i'll be transparent i'll just be as transparent with you as i as i know to be now sometimes when you're transparent people want to read too much into it but i have pressures too and as a younger pastor i had pressure and it seems like we men can go home and take out on our families the pressure right when we should have stood up on our jobs and said wait a minute i understand this or that we're like we're we're just like a pressure cooker and then we go home and we take it out on our families maybe maybe you you don't have to cuss them just be rude to them you don't have to you don't have to cuss those kids just yell at them say some some some you know some some uh degrading remark to them just just give the atmosphere that they're a nuisance they're a bother that's all you have to do maybe well what kind of revival we could have if every man if every man just had his house set in order i know once i was very rude to my wife it's very rude to our kids all right fallon lauren and nolan were just little kids and i was very rude to all of them and that night brother i called my wife and all my kids into the living room set them on the couch and i said i want to apologize to all of you because i let some pressure get the best of me and i i was rude to you all and i spoke rough to all of you today and i was less than what a dad should be to you and i want you to pray for me and i want you to ask god to help your daddy and your husband do his best and we had a prayer meeting right there we had a prayer well brother carpenter i believe that would diminish me in the eyes of my wife and my family it don't diminish you if anything it puts you up on a pedestal dad you're a good dad you're a good dad you're you're a good husband you're you're but but if you try to hide that and mask that it creates an unhealthy atmosphere in your home because that's where we've got to get the church is in our home i want you men to have a healthy relationship with your wives i want you to have a healthy relationship with your children what's your vision for your them to the altar don't just tell your children you ought to be worshiping you know one way to raise worshiping children is for them to look over and see their dad or their mom with their hands lifted kathy went through a divorce years ago and from that marriage it was a son conceived his name was his name was marcus a few years later a few years later my sister met and fell in love and he's here tonight with my brother-in-law kip fowler their marriage together they had a son by the name of john john fowler and i'm telling you the way that brother kip raised marcus and john you could never tell that marcus was not his biological son over john and that's that's the truth and that's where i i get the stability and the personal insight to tell you that you never could tell that marcus is
