how many of you are thankful to be in god's house i was glad when they said unto me let's go to fac knoxville on a sunday night and let's just see what the lord would do what a great spirit of worship is in this room tonight and uh oh some of y'all already getting nervous now well um i just sometimes i can't always articulate and so sometimes i just tell stories so i'm just going i'm going to tell another story all right is that okay um it involves an airport it involves a plane as most of my weekends are involved with flying out somewhere and so i'm on the way to the airport and i get the notification of all notifications i got the notification that i had been upgraded to first class now i i don't know about you some of y'all you got you bougie you you in first class all the time well i'm just gonna be real with you tonight first class hit a little different when you don't have to pay for it and uh man you start walking different when you get that notification i mean i walked through tsa and security and uh they didn't have to ask i let them know hey your boy's been upgraded to first class made it to my gate and uh man they're calling for military they're calling for people with children they're calling for people with dogs they're calling for people with cats they finally called for first class i said yo that's me i'm proud to be humble and uh so i'm i'm sitting down and and i've already got my pinky out i'm going i'm about to get some apple juice and i'm i'm about to enjoy this first class experience now you can always tell when it's somebody's first time in first class because they got their phone and they're just they're live and the whole thing you can't be blowing your cover like that so i'm just acting like i do this all the time and so the stewardess came out and she said oh would you would you like a drink before we take off i said let me think about it yes i'll take some apple juice my man beside me ordered orange juice and so she came out gave me apple juice gave him orange juice and i'm just living my best life and then my man had to spill that orange juice all over me all down my pant leg i just got new golf shoes orange juice got into my socks underneath my toenails sorry tmi and uh and i'm just like really bruh and so the stewardess runs out and she says i'll be right back she she says i got you she comes out with a little towelette a little inch by inch non solution i say yo girl i'm gonna need about ten thousand of those and uh so so i got most of the stickiness off that's a lie i didn't get any of the stickiness off and so i'm just kind of you know i'm like i'm sitting closer and closer to the window and i don't really want to talk to my man beside me right now we're not we're not bros and so the stewardess comes out and she says would y'all like anything else do you need anything i said no i'm good that's code language for i'm ticked leave me alone i'm about to put in my airpods the world is dead to me and my man beside me so oh when you get a chance could i get a refill of orange juice i said dear father above let him bring it to him in a sippy cup in jesus name amen but this is what i look for in church and i see it so many times i look for those men and women that come in with fire in their eyes and faith in their heart and they're not worried about being judged they're not worried about protocol they don't care if they have fumbled fallen made mistakes they understand they are in an experience that they can get something that they would not normally you're in the presence of god on a sunday night it doesn't matter how bloody you are how weary you are how messed up how bruised you ought to just make up in your mind on a sunday night i may have not got it right the first time i may have not got everything i needed in the first service but i will get everything that the spirit has for me tonight i believe the lord's going to speak to us i want you to turn with me in your bibles to the book of judges chapter 7 the book of judges chapter 7 and verse nine the book of judges seven and verse nine i wanna just pause a little extra tonight and just give high esteem and kudos to um your great leadership i believe i was introduced to uh brother whitley first and then i had not met uh pastor anthony or bishop mccool or pastor mccool until uh this weekend and they just have immediately adopted me and made me feel like family and so now um if you don't claim me i claim you so it's a hostage situation and um james wilson a close friend of mine had been here and had told me so many uh great things and so he did make it here before me so i feel like you know i'm living in his shadow and then we got dom and chloe and brooke and i'm just like come on guys and uh so i i was waiting for that solo tonight and it didn't happen and uh but it's okay i the optimistic side of me realizes that i like to preach to people and when i sing there are no no more people so so i'll just preach tonight um but uh your reputation is known far and wide and i'm so grateful for the body of christ for the family of faith there's so many brothers and sisters across this globe some you've met some you haven't met and you just never know how the lord is going to intersect your paths and you just never know when you're going to come across the family of faith and everywhere i go the more and more i travel i have just such a greater gratitude for the church the bride of christ you and i are a part of something amazing we're a part of something pretty stellar we really are [Applause] and i give honor to sister stayton i love the state and family so very much and i told her that i i might just read my text tonight and pass her the microphone and so i just i feel like i'm among family this weekend and that may be why i'm a little too comfortable so i apologize and keaton i got you man i told you i got you a man [Applause] and that gift basket i don't know who is responsible for that but i had chick-fil-a waffle socks in that gift basket and your boy your boy your boy is wearing them tonight [Applause] so see that's what happens it's the law of the kingdom keaton you bless you get blessed so you've got socks coming next time judges seven and nine if you're there say amen you're cheating and looking on the screen saying man oh you can't cheat yet oh now you can no shame in your game judges seven and nine and it came to pass the same night that the lord said until gideon arise get you down into the host for i have delivered it into your hand but if you're afraid to go down i'll let you use the buddy system take your friend take your servant fury down with you and you will hear what the enemy says and afterwards your hands will be strengthened to go down to the host so gideon went down with fira his buddy and to the outside of the armed men that were in the host and the midianites and the amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for the multiplicity of them and their camels were without number and the sand by the seaside from multitude they were overwhelmed and so it was that when gideon was come behold there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow and he said behold i dreamed a dream last night lo a a piece of barley bread tumbled into the host of midian and it came into our tent and it smote our tent so that our tent fell our tent wasn't just hit it was overturned and it lay along its side and his fellow answered and said this is nothing else save the sword of gideon the son of joash a man of israel for into his hand hath god delivered midian and all the hosts it would be a dramatic irony if our enemy had more faith than what god was about to do than we did and so by the help of god's spirit i want to preach to you tonight on this simple thought heaven's recipe for hell's nightmare heaven's recipe for hell's nightmare and i believe the lord is going to speak to every young person every young adult every middle-aged person every single every marriage every elder i believe the lord would just like to deliver something to everybody is that would that be okay tonight would you lift up your hands one more time god i thank you for this opportunity god i don't take it for granted god i know there are so many nuances and layers and needs that are represented in this house but god your spirit is the great multitasker your word will not return void tonight and god i pray i pray god that your word would strategically find pockets of hunger in this house tonight i pray that there would be a mixing i pray that we would not just be hearers of the word we would be doers of the word let our heart be further soil for the seed of your word to germinate to manifest to grow and god tonight we will leave here having heard your voice we will leave here having obeyed your word we will leave here having had a manifestation of your glory so god by faith i thank you in advance and i give you great praise for what you and your word are going to accomplish in jesus name somebody say in jesus name somebody say in jesus name if you believe that prayer i want you to clap your hands as loud as you have all night you may be seated i want you to love awkward silence gotta love awkward silence when you look at the context in which gideon is living in it is a context of contradiction yet parallel to our daily life today the bible lets us know that the children of israel were doing evil in the sight of the lord it's one thing for the world to be doing evil but the children of israel were doing evil in the sight of the lord and so it was that we we understand the admonition as given to us in hebrews that we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some but we are to exhort one another we are to provoke one another so much the more as the day of jesus's return is approaching and yet it seems in this in this it seems as if in this moment that the masses and the majority the children of israel it seems as if everyone is doing evil everyone is forsaking and yet the bible says that we are not to forsake as the manner of some and some is never the sum total because it does not matter how many people are getting carnal it doesn't matter how many people are getting casual and cold it does not matter how many people are compromising it is never everybody and it is never everyone and so in this context where the children it seems as if everyone is forsaking god has a young man named gideon there is not much inspiration for him to glean or gain from those around him the bible lets us know that everybody seems to be hiding in the corner and cowering in caves the enemy has leveraged this because now now they are coming in and they are encroaching upon the land and there is a sinister plot to take out every bit of fruit every bit of produce every bit of harvest every bit of increase every time there is a crop every time there is growth the bible says that the enemy begins to sweep in and burn up the harvest where there should be fruit there is now the smell of smoke where there should be increase there is now destruction because everything that has been sown and everything that has been watered and everything that has been planted is now burned up increase giving way to destruction harvest giving way to the pungent smell of smoke in the air but the bible but the bible says in the middle of all of this that gideon is threshing wheat by a wine press gideon is threshing wheat by a wine press can i just stop and pause and in case you haven't realized it that lets us know the enemy didn't burn up everything somewhere gideon was smuggling in some harvest somewhere he was sowing and he was watering when nobody else could see and while it seemed as if everything was burning up the bible says there was a young man threshing weed by a wine press can i just speak on behalf of you for a moment i'm not going to preach to the devil tonight i've come to preach to you but i would just like to preach to the devil for just a moment on behalf of you because you represent a bundle of harvest that hell didn't burn up you represent something that hell wanted but hell did not get your worship is not just worship and you're faithfulness i need somebody to help me on a sunday night you just thought you was faithfulness and you just thought no no no no you represent something that should have went up in smoke you represent something you should have gotten petty you should have gotten jaded you should have left god but you were threshing wheat by a wine press you don't fresh wheat by a wine press you press on grapes at a wine press you thresh wheat at a threshing floor gideon is out of place and so are you the people of god has always been out of place paul said i was born out of due time he said i didn't come when i was supposed to come i came at a peculiar time i be i came in a unique way david said i am as a wonder unto many he said when i go to church i i make people go cray-cray they cannot figure me out how did he show up have you ever have you ever considered that god doesn't have to make sense he makes miracles some of you are wondering as you're going back into the school year some of you are wondering as your babies are about to go back to school why do i feel out of place why do i feel like everything is in disarray why is my life not making sense i just want you to compute tonight that god does not have to make sense to make miracles and so it is that heaven watch heaven it's it's it's not really bothered by the masses that are forsaking him but but it seems as if heaven is attracted to this man named gideon that is threshing wheat by the wine press there's always going to be those that are forsaking as the manner of some but that's only one category the other category is provoke and encourage all the much more so much the more so while there is the category of some there is also the category of so much the more and there is a group there is a generation that is rising that are not about to do less they're about to do what the elders have done they're about to do what their parents have done they're about to do what proceeding generations have done but they're going to do it so much the more and so it is in heaven heaven the bible says the angel go back and read it i want to show you all the verses tonight but i can't the bible says that gideon is threshing wheat by a wine press and and and the bible says that the angel the lord comes and sits down an angel sits down and it alludes to the fact that the angels get just gazing just watching because the next verse says the angel appeared so there's this space and place where heaven does not seem to be moving or speaking heaven is just simply watching oh man i gotta i gotta read this for you i want you to go with me uh on the screen or in your bibles to to the book of job chapter one and seven the book of job chapter one and seven the book of job chapter one and seven and the lord said unto satan uh whence cometh thou then satan answered the lord and said from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it there is one devil we're going to break it down for a minute there is one devil and if he's going to go from one place to another place he has to leave here and he has to go there but notice what happens when we read second chronicles 16 and 9 for the eyes of the lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show himself strong so if the devil's going to go somewhere he has to go somewhere god just has to look there so that means god saw you before the devil got to you it doesn't matter how hell is your home life it doesn't matter the addiction that you were born into you cannot tell me that hell got to you before heaven got to you the eyes of the lord run to and fro on a scouting mission who can i recruit i'm looking for a 20 year old i'm looking for a 50 year old i'm looking for a 73 year old i'm looking for a 12 year old who can i show my weakness who can i show my strength whose weakness can i use who's whose strength can i show and so while the devil's running to and fro the eyes of the lord are running to and fro god sees and god peers and god gazes how many times have we had a moment in our life where there's an angel a heavenly liaison perhaps god himself he's not appearing but he's still there he's not speaking but he's still there he's just watching he's watching you as you thresh sweet by a wine press he's watching you as you think you're out of place but you're smuggling in a prayer life and you're that's what you're going to do when you go back to school you're going to smuggle in a bible study and you're going to smuggle in spirituality you don't feel like the right person you feel like it's the wrong time it's the wrong can i tell you i don't want to mess up our theology but you can be the wrong person in the wrong place at the wrong time but if you got a bundle of something that hell couldn't burn up i said if you've got a bundle of something that hell could not burn up you are an absolute threat to hell [Applause] so he is now the angel begins to open his mouth and now the angel begins to speak and he begins to tell gideon you are a you are a mighty man of valor and gideon said yo have you seen my my instagram bio he said i'm weak you know my tribe you know my family go back he wasn't just saying i'm weak he was saying i'm the weakest of the week turn to your neighbor tell them you're weak bro girl you weak and watch watch what god's reply is to gideon i want you to go in this strength what strength the strength of your weakness now hold up no i don't know i thought my weakness and my vulnerability disqualified me no god did not choose you because of what you had going for you god chose you because of what you didn't have going for you first corinthians 1 and 26 says for you see your calling brethren how that not many wise men after the flesh not many mighty not many noble are called but god has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and god has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty and the base things of the world and the things which are despised god has chosen you yea the things which are not so the next time the devil tells you you're nothing admit it because god made the world out of nothing nothing is miracle material [Applause] some of you trying to flex some of you trying to oh no no i'm this no no no i am nothing without him but with him i am raw miracle potential god can make a ministry out of nothing god can make an intercessor out of nothing god can make a church planter out of nothing god can make a missionary out of nothing god uses the weak things of the world god uses the things which are not your life don't have to make sense because he has the luxury to make miracles and so now now gideon is the captain of a host and now my man gideon has a sword i'm just gonna be honest with you if i'm gideon that sword is making it to my profile pick going to know i had a heavenly visitation everybody's going to know i'm the captain of a host but watch what happens the bible lets us know that god weakens him and god weakens him and god weakens him and god weakens him until he is weak enough to win see we have it backwards we're trying to be strong and the problem is some of us are so strong we're strong enough to lose his strength is made perfect in weakness god does not make strength out of strength his strength is made perfect his strength is made perfect his strength is made perfect in our weakness god does not make strength out of strength the ingredients for strength is weakness see there's this there's this there's this man that we love to preach about he he wrestled with god and and and he prevailed and and and we talk about how blessed he was and we talk about how god used him and we talked about how how there was so much favor in his life and and so the bible says that there's this angel that that wrestles with jacob and and we preach about how he was blessed and how he was favored but in reality he walked away with less because the bible alludes to the fact that the sin you in his thigh shrunk not all blessing is through addition oh that's north american prosperity thinking all blessing has to come through addition god does not make sense he makes miracles so god can bless you through subtraction and god can weaken you see i'm trying to help a young person i'm trying to i'm trying to help somebody who who's trying to you're trying to you're trying to stack up all the stats and prove to god how you're qualified to be used by him in this season of revival it's not what you are it's what you're not enoch was not and god took him it's not what you are it's what you're not now we don't run about that we don't preach that at anyone see we don't we don't use that as our as our as our youth rally back to school theme you week come to our rally hear lamb and gore hey i got a word for you tonight bruh you weak so i got to a point where i i just man i just i started agreeing with the enemy i'm weak and i'm not enough and i am nothing but that is what qualifies me to see somebody baptized that is what qualifies me to go overseas that is what qualifies me to go across the street that is what qualifies me to be an intercessor that it is not what i am it is what i am not that attracts the favor of god the bible says even to this day the children do not eat the sin you would shrank when god touched jacob he didn't add to him he removed from him and we wonder why we leave atmospheres like this and we don't see anything gained we don't see any addition and we think god did not touch us could it be that there was a blessing in the lessening so now now gideon i'm hurrying now gideon is weak enough to win and so it is that he's got a word from heaven he's going to be victorious god is going to use him god is going to gone god is going to allow him to not just be a captain but a conqueror and yet somehow he's still shaking somehow he's still nervous and so god says okay um i'm going to let you use the buddy system and that's so cool dom are we buddies yet that was way too slow of an answer that stung a little bit i want you to be my buddy y'all give it up for dom [Applause] i'm i'm really starting to doubt this whole buddy system thing i thought you'd be excited about being my buddy here we'll go over here we won't we won't stand by the sword thank you so so watch watch now you know gideon you i lied you know gideon is like bro bro look at this sword man man you know i just i think god's going to use me and i'm i'm i'm i'm i've got a sword now he's trying to flex but he's still shaking in his boots he's got a word he's got a word from heaven but he don't fully believe it but god is so big bad and bougie god is so awesome merciful and majestic that he don't disqualify you for being human and for being insecure and for because this is what god tells gideon he says i want you to go take fear i want you i want you i won't let you use the buddy system and if you don't believe a word from heaven i'm going to give you a word from hell and so it is that now they they're they're on a seal team six ninja mission to the enemy's camp they got their airpods in they're bumping and thumping and they they're what are they what are we listening to all in his hands who wrote that me my boy well you know i just i just released an ep um yo i'm glad all my homies are in town but uh chloe brooke and dominic the only one releasing sound my lyrics got fire we're going off the ground we're getting off the ground all right that's that's my new bar that's my new bars that was rough not going to lie give it up for your boy so they're they're they're wrong they're rocking all in his hands thank god and and so and so they're they're they're making their way to the enemy's camp and they're making their way to the edge and god allows them to come to the edge of the enemy's camp right when the enemy is waking up from a nightmare and god says yo y'all listen to this and your hands are going to be strengthened we're going somewhere he says i want you to listen in and the enemy wakes up and he says yo bro you got to wake up i just had a nightmare i just had a nightmare about a about a piece of bread and it tumbled into the valley and it smote us and it destroyed us and somehow i discern that this is gideon and his boys now i got to explain this can i use you guys again i just need four of you i'm not gonna pour water i promise hey we'll use the other guys come on come on y'all get up here y'all get up here y'all get up here hurry hurry hurry i gotta hurry y'all get over here dom you're my buddy okay okay so i need you to stand right here okay i need you to stand right here i need you to stand right here i need you to stand right there i just need y'all spread out i need you to stand right here i need you to stand over there over there over there i know you're scared but i'm not gonna throw water i promise you pinky promise and so i need you to stand over there and and so this is what this is this is this is what is happening they're listening to the enemy talk about a nightmare now watch the story starts with gideon threshing wheat by a wine press you're a piece of green you're a piece of green you're a piece of green you're a piece of grain you're a piece of grain you're a piece of green but that's not what the enemy had a nightmare about the enemy had a nightmare about a piece of bread hell is not afraid of people that haven't been through the process hell is not afraid of people that haven't been through the mixing and the stirring hell is not afraid of people who haven't been you want to be nightmare material you got to submit to the process you want to be a mighty man you want to be a mighty woman of valor you got to go through some junk so how do you make bread well you got to get all the ingredients and you got to get them into the same bowl you got to unify what would normally be on the shelf isolated that's why there's power when you come to this church and there's power when somebody else is sitting on the road with you because you begin to unite with something that hell would rather be divided you know what god is doing god is bringing the older and the younger he's bringing republicans and democrats he's bringing conservatives and liberals he's bringing syria he's bringing rural god is bringing everybody together in the mix to be unified because he's trying to make a nightmare out of you [Applause] but it's not just enough to get everybody in the same bowl you got to mix them you got to mix them god why am i so discombobulated why am i why is my world spinning why is my life going in circles his strength is made perfect his strength is made perfect god's trying to come on come on god's trying to make a miracle out of you god's trying to make a ministry out of you god's trying to make strength out of you his strength is made perfect oh but watch now you've been all mixed up equilibrium was off and now you feel the pressure as it begins to form you and he begins to shape you i don't understand why i've been i've been agitated i don't understand what i've been thrown into the mix and i don't understand why my world is going up i'm trying to help somebody tonight i don't understand the pressure and i don't i don't like him and i don't like her but we're in the same mixing bowl together and god is trying to make a nightmare out of you because he took it really serious when you said god use me he took it really serious when you said i want to bring devastation to hell's camp he took it really serious when you said you weren't satisfied with just the north american dream but you wanted to put the kingdom first he thought you were serious about that prayer he thought you were serious when you said i want to be known before the throne he thought you were serious when he said when you said i don't want to just ooze through life but i want to march with purpose i want to be a part of the army of all the more i want to be a part of the saints that are doing so much the more i'm trying to hurry and so musicians come all of a sudden now they've been through the mixing they've been through the stirring now they got to go through the heat now they got to go through the fire but when the ingredients are right the fire does not burn you up it does not devastate you it develops you and when the ingredients are right everything that has submitted in the process begins to rise [Applause] i want you to go with me to daniel for just a moment i'm done but you gotta go with me to daniel for just a minute you gotta you gotta see this daniel daniel chapter three and we're gonna begin at verse 19. daniel chapter 3 and and verse 19. then nebuchadnezzar was full of fury in the form of his visage was changed against shadrach meshach and abednego and therefore he spake and commanded that they they should heat the furnace seven times hotter next verse verse 20 says and he commanded the most mighty men yo i'm not smart enough to figure this out but the word is alive the bible says the most okay we got too many illustrations going on but it's okay um can i can i use you guys can i use all you guys yeah i want to use you guys so we got my buddy system over here we got all the pieces of grain that are now becoming a piece of bread and uh now we got the three hebrew boys i need three of you right here three of you one two three so you're the three hebrew boys you're the mighty man can you flex for me oh okay okay i see oh stop bro you're blinding me okay okay let's see all right so um i need you to i need you to throw i need you to throw them into the fire can y'all do that can y'all throw them into the fire we're gonna throw them into the fire hold them into the fire now y'all fall down y'all fall down y'all fall down now now no no he commanded the most mighty men that were in the army to bind shadow right me shack in a bit and go up and to cast them into the burning fire furnace next verse verse 21 says these men were bound in their coats and their hoes in their hats and their garments and they were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace next verse therefore the king's command was urgent and the furnace was so hot that the flame slew the men okay now y'all did plot twist i don't think they wanted to die i don't think they were expecting that hey it could have been worse i could have thrown water on you watch what is happening guys come back up here come back the bible says what the most mighty men threw them in but the flame was so intense that the flames slew them might didn't make it through the fire weakness did see some of you still trying to flex on me i'm trying to convince you you are weak enough to win i'm trying to remind you that when the ingredients are right it doesn't matter the school you're going back to it doesn't matter the neighborhood that you live in it doesn't matter who mom and dad is or isn't it doesn't matter what your pedigree is or isn't when the ingredients are right you will go through the mixing and you will go through the heat and you will go through the pressure and you will come out as gold now this is my favorite part there came a time there came a time where the bible says there was a fourth man in the fire and i always thought that they were delivered and they danced i thought god set them free and they had a victory party but when you go back and read the i wanted to show you all the scriptures tonight i don't have time but when you go back and read it the bible says they were loose in the fire god rarely delivers you from the process but he will deliver you in the process and the flame will get close enough to burn up the ropes and still not burn you you don't have to come out petty you don't have to come out unforgiving you don't have to come out distrustful of leadership you don't have to come out with the junk that you've been through you can you can come forth as gold you can come forth ripe you can come forth to harvest you can be hell's the worst nightmare because you said baby we're going to submit to the process this is how daddy shouts going through hell this is how mama prays if you're going through hell you might as well come out on fire and be hell's worst nightmare [Applause] [Music] so there came a moment you can start playing there came a moment all of a sudden something began to culminate and something began to rise and the bible says that they walked out and you know what i just happened to think in the land and gore 2024 translation not yet in mardel bookstores [Music] i just happen to think that they walked over what threw them in hey hey hey hey hey you know that anxiety that threw you in you're about to walk over it hey you know that shame that threw you in you're about to walk over it you know the enemy that came against us hell brought his best against us hell brought strength against us but hell didn't know you were weak enough to win hell didn't know you were weak enough to win you can get up you can get up now y'all stay now we're all on the same team god says all right i gave you a word from me i gave you a word from hell now go back to the bros and they come back and they say yo group huddle we're about to have victory we're about to have victory hey we're about to have victory we're about to go to the enemies cam we're about to see revival we're about to see our friends saved we're about to see the gifts operate we're about to see what we've never seen but watch dom the enemy said this is the sword of gideon but that's not what gideon said see if hell cannot defeat you he'll try to deceive you hell will try to get you all by yourself and hell will try to tempt you with strength i'll be honest when i caved it wasn't always because i was tempted because of my weakness i was seduced by my strength and god does not share his glory god is not looking for co-stars he's trying to recruit co-laborers and god has always made strength out of weakness so gideon said we're going to surround the enemy you know what we're going to say we're going to say the sword of the lord get your hands on this dome and o
