check check good morning how many of you are thankful to be in the second day of Code Orange Revival I uh I'm so grateful I'm so grateful for your worship I'm so grateful for your faith I'm so grateful um for you deciding to come into the presence of God on a th Thursday morning and just believing that God can do anything and that's what I came believing I came believing uh that God God can do anything this morning how many of you would like to see Jesus heal somebody today I believe that could happen in Thursday Chapel how many of you believe God could fill your buddy with the spirit this morning I I really think that could happen how many of you believe God could fill you or renew you with his presence that's the kind of faith that I brought I uh is it all right if we just have Story Time with LG for for a minute I I like telling stories and if you don't like my stories I get really insecure when people bail on my stories so just just act like you like my story okay I um I I've told this before but I'm going to tell again because it's one of my favorite stories I uh uh just about how many of you have flown how many of you have flown we have oh wow okay wow some of you are bougie uh some of you have flown or some of you are lying to me I don't know uh how many of you have flown in uh first class if you've ever flown in first class okay all right all right I respect it I I think I have a few people lying to me but I believe most of you uh about every weekend I find myself in a plane uh I find myself in a hotel I find myself in an Uber and uh I'm always waiting for this notification it's it's the not ification of all notifications is the notification that I have been upgraded to first class now when I am upgraded to first class that means I don't have to I don't have to be back on row 59 by the bathroom that means I'm going to be at the very front and that means I don't got to pay for snacks in the airport I'm going to get free snacks and so this morning uh the day of this trip not not this morning but I had I got this notification that I'd been upgraded to first class so I was all excited I I showed up to the gate early and I was like yo today is my day I get to be upgraded I I get to sit in the very front and I get to get on early I get to get off early I don't have to wait for everybody else getting their bags and uh so I had the window seat people think because I'm tall I want the aisle but I like that window seat I want to be able to sleep if I need to be able to sleep and I also want to be able to have I want to be in control of the window I hate when I'm on the aisle and somebody else has control of whether I can see out or if the Sun is uh getting too hot or shining too brightly uh they don't want to put it down so when you got the window seat you can sleep on the window you can raise the window close the window you just do what you want and uh so the the stewardess came out and uh she said um hey um can I can I get you anything and I was like yes I I really want some apple juice so so the Buddy beside me he got uh some orange juice I was like oh maybe we'll be friends and um and so she brings out the drinks and we're getting ready to take off and uh the buddy that was beside me that is now not about to be my buddy uh decided he was going to spill his orange juice and he spills it all over me he could have spilled it on him he could have spilled it beside him I mean my bro has options but no he spills it all over me it's in my sock and do y'all like my Waffle socks Pastor Anthony and Pastor Nathan got those for me those are Chick-fil-A waffle socks I hate to flex on you but that's a flex and so it's it's all into my socks it's it's underneath my toe toenails is that 2 TMI uh I'm just telling you it's gross y'all and my whole day is now messed up I've got to fly with all this stickiness on me and so I'm just I'm not really happy I'm not smiling and U and so the stus brings out some some tallettes some little wet wipes some napkins but ain't nothing taking off this stickiness and so I'm just ready to go I want to land so I can go get some new shoes new socks new pants I just I don't want this orange juice on me and um the lady asked hey do do you need anything else I'm like there's nothing else you can do but thank you and so she's about to leave and the dude beside me says uh ma'am ma' ma'am um when you get a chance I'd like a refill of orange juice I was like dear God please dear God in heaven above let them bring it to him in a sippy cup he really is asking for another he's asking for a refill of orange juice but you know what I you know what I've come to admire I've come to admire and respect those moments and those people that when we come into the house of God they have a mind that is made up it doesn't matter how much I have messed up it doesn't matter how cringy it is it doesn't matter how awkward it is I know that I am in a special moment and I I'm in an I'm in a special environment and in this environment I can receive things that I would not normally receive so you know what I try to do when I'm in the presence of God I actually try to be just like that guy I try to make up in my mind Jesus I want something in this atmosphere that I would not normally receive anywhere else would it be all right just to believe that Jesus could renew somebody that he could refill somebody that he could do something special in this Thursday Chapel that perhaps you didn't realize when you walked in that we didn't even fully comprehend that's what I believe Jesus is going to do today so I want to share just a little bit of my story and I'm going to share even more tomorrow but then we're going to come right back up here and we're going to pray and we're just going to believe that God is going to to baptize this atmosphere which means he's going to baptize us and baptize our hearts and I just believe if there is somebody who has never received the spirit of God in this room and you want it I believe you can get it today how many of you believe with me that someone that doesn't have the spirit of God that's never spoken in tongues before yet could receive it today I I believe that but I also believe that young men and women boys and girls that have received the spirit of God could be renewed and refilled today and and so I want to talk to you for just a few minutes I'm going to take your attention to the book of Acts chapter 2 the book of Acts chapter 2 and verse 38 the book of Acts chapter 2 and verse 38 and it says these powerful powerful amazing words then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all of them that are a far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call uh this is what I want to talk to you about for the next few moments this simple subject how to not receive the Holy Ghost how to not receive the Holy Ghost tell your buddy he's going to talk about how to not receive the Holy Ghost oh some of you didn't do it I'm watching you you got to tell your friend beside you Landon is going to talk LG is going to talk about how to not receive the Holy Ghost now I want you to turn to your other buddy the one you just rejected and I want you to tell them Landon's about to tell us how to not receive the Holy Ghost see Anthony we're going to solve a case I um uh how many of you are 15 how many of you are 15 we have a few 15y olds uh how many of you you are 12 you are not 15 come on I don't believe that no I don't believe it how many of you are 12 12 we have some 12 year olds man we have some Liars I need to preach on honesty today first class now you're saying you're 15 I know you guys aren't 15 or 12 come on what about nine nine nine nine nine nine no I mean who is really nine are they really nine okay I y'all got me all suspicious now what about seven seven seven okay let's go now now I need some teachers to help me my discernment ain't working today are these real seveny olds okay what about six years old who is six if you're not six years old I want your hand down if you are six years old I want your hand up six years old all of them are six that's amazing oh I skipped to age who did I skip oh okay on the count of three I just want you to I just want you to scream how old you are one two three I'm getting extra points for crowd participation that is amazing wow so here here here here's what I want you to hear here's what I want you to hear I I I want you um um I want you to guess how old I was when I okay okay okay third whoever said 38 you're still my friend Savage what did y'all sign me up for so okay you haven't even heard you haven't even heard the whole question oh pause pause pause pause pause pause pause chill you haven't even heard the whole question I ain't about to ask ask y'all how old you think I am I'm going to ask you how old I was when I received Holy Ghost all right all right I'm G to announce the winner the long awaited winner if you said oh listen if you said nine you're wrong if you said 15 you're wrong I can't do a good buzzer if you said six years old you are right Let's go Team Six so I want to tell you something for a few minutes I want everybody to hear me I want everybody to hear me I want to tell you something that is really special to me everyone say a I I I I want to I want to tell you something that is uh really really really really amazing in my story someone say cool when I was 6 years old when I was six years old I uh I at my house and uh we had something called family devotion now that means we didn't just open the Bible at church and we didn't just open the Bible at youth class and we just we didn't just open the Bible U at Chapel uh but that means that we would open the Bible at our house and we would pray and can I just be honest with you today sometimes after worshiping and opening the Bible and praying at church uh on Sundays and Wednesdays and it felt like all the time when you're six years old uh I just wasn't really about uh trying to pray again at the house and open our Bibles again and to worship and get in God's presence again but Mom and Dad um uh they they they had in their mind that we were going to um we were going to be spiritual at home and so there was this one night there was this one night we were having Bible study and I'll be honest uh I was really ready for it to be over uh I was a little bored and I just wanted to be done I wanted to go play with GI Joe's I wanted to go play uh with Mario I I just want to be done with Bible study I wanted to I want to go eat Cheerios I just want to do something else I was willing willing to play Barbies uh with my sister I just I just wanted oh I know y'all I just I just was ready to be done with Bible study so I want you to hear what happens next I I want you to hear what happens next is everybody listening ask your ask your friend are you listening so this is what happens next I want to tell you what happens next I uh I thought we were done with Bible study and so we're done with Bible study but now we had to pray and so we we've prayed and and uh we're we're we're getting ready to be done and now we're officially done I can go to bed I can do whatever I want and so this this is what I've been waiting for and so I I get ready to go to bed and there's just something lingering there there's something that I just can't shake and uh I I didn't really realize what it was I didn't fully understand what it was but it was the presence of God it was the love of Jesus and I remember thinking I just I just going to go to bed and uh man may maybe I'll pay a little bit more attention to devotion next time and uh you know I I I feel really I feel really good I I feel peace I feel I feel the love of Jesus even though I didn't know how to articulate that and I was getting ready for bed and uh are you asking what my shirt's said says what does my shirt say reval it says Revival you get a prize so I uh I remember getting ready for bed and I was just like I just felt like I need to pray again and so I'm just like I'm like but we've prayed and we have had devotion and I'm ready to go to bed and I I can sneak in a game and and just something wouldn't let me go so I thought you know what I'm I'm not I'm not at church devotions over I could wait until Sunday um I I'm just I don't know it's kind of awkward but I'm telling you something would not let me go so you know what I decided to do I decid to do something really normal I just decided I would go into my room I decided that I would kneel beside my bed I would awkwardly lift my hands and I would awkwardly Pray by myself and can I just be real honest with you if you haven't guessed it it was awkward until it wasn't because as I was awkwardly praying by myself out loud the presence of Jesus came into my bedroom and as I was lifting my hands and as I was talking to Jesus I begin to feel him move on my heart I begin to feel him move upon me and now I wasn't just awkwardly praying but now tears were coming down my face as I was feeling that same love of God again and as I was feeling the same presence of God all over again my mom and and Dad soon came into the room and I just begin to pray and I begin to talk to Jesus and and uh you know your your heart is like a bucket someone say my heart is like a bucket what uh what happens if you feel a buet with water comes to the top and it's heavy and um what what happens if you fill it all the way to the top it it begins to it begins to run over what happens if you fill a bucket with sand you fill it all the way to the top what's going to spill over sand is going to spill over what happens if you fill a bucket with a bunch of rocks fill it all the way to the top all of a sudden what's going to spill over rocks so your heart is like like a bucket and this is why when the presence of God begins to come around you the presence of God wants to come on the inside of you wants to come into your heart but when God when Jesus Christ when the spirit of God begins to fill your heart something's going to overflow out and I'll never forget as I was praying by my bed with my hands lifted I could feel that presence coming on the inside and I could feel something wanting to overflow out and and I'm I I'm going to be honest with you a whole lot of me wanted to hold it in a whole lot of me didn't understand everything but I knew what I was feeling and it wasn't deceptive it was the presence of Jesus it wasn't scary it was unknown it was the presence of Jesus and all of a sudden as I begin to talk to Jesus I love you I worship you I praise you I need you in my life I can't do this without you all of a sudden I could feel feel the river of God's presence in my heart wanting to overflow out of my mouth and all of a sudden I had a decision I could open my eyes and I could shut my mouth and I could put my hands in my pocket and I could hold it all in or I could make a decision to yield and to trust Jesus and to allow his Spirit to overflow out of my mouth as I begin to speak in a Heavenly language as I begin to speak in tongues and at six years of age beside my bed Jesus filled me with the gift of the Holy Ghost for the very first time I look at some of you guys that are six and I think how did I re how did I receive it at six years of age I can I I remember it like it was yesterday it was so vivid I I I I I I I I remember I remember receiving the gift of God's spirit for the very first time and and I had never experienced this amazing amazing gift and and I didn't know what to do and I I remember turn turning to my mom and dad who were now in the room and they had been praying and and I said I just I just I just want to run can I run no no don't run but I remember asking my mom and and father I said I just can can I can I run and can I can I run and very sincerely I I just I just begin to run around that room and in my I begin to run the aisles in my bedroom because I I I didn't know anything else to do to express the joy and the peace and the happiness I can I I can I it's it's still so distinct the gift of God's spirit is the greatest gift in all of the world whoever you are wherever you are whatever age and stage in life that you are there is no gift that can surpass the gift of God's presence and the only thing greater than receiving the gift of God's spirit the only thing greater than receiving the Holy Ghost is seeing somebody else get it I'll never forget the moment when my little brother walked into my bedroom and I was almost asleep and he be to he began to tug my shoulders and he said hey Landon Landon I got I got to tell you something I like I want to go to sleep man and I I was still living at home and uh I was uh I'm sorry I was actually visiting I was visiting home from college and staying over and he said uh he said I I just he said uh it's like can I just tell you something I said yeah he said I I he said I I really feel Jesus all of a sudden I got up and I I realized that what he was telling me was was more serious and special and I said Grayson say that again he said he said uh I I feel like my heart is reaching for Jesus and that's when I knew that the same God that had moved on me was now moving on my brother and when it would only be a short time I had prayed God I want my buddy I want Grayson that's my dude that's my man I want him to receive the Holy Ghost as soon as he can because it's amazing but if you allow me I really really want to be there and so I would I would leave drive out and I would come back in and it would be on a a Friday night youth rally that I would I would I would come in I was supposed to be in an event for my college and I decided just to be home with my family and that night there was one person one young boy that received the gift of the Holy Ghost at that rally and that One Singular Soul was my buddy my brother Grayson and the same God that had filled me with the Holy Ghost had now filled him I'm telling you today there is no gift that is greater than the Holy Ghost there is no experience that is greater than the Holy Ghost there is nothing in this life that will ever surpass the moment that God baptizes you with his Spirit there's nothing like it there nothing like it and so you know what I learned I learned something really simple I so many times we make the Holy Ghost mysterious so many times we make the Holy Ghost complicated so many times we we we we we sometimes we can even make the Holy Ghost something scary sometimes we get intimidated by praying sometimes we get intimidated by praying around other people sometimes we get intimidated by by uh by praying at church but this is what's so amazing about Jesus he can feel you anywhere he can feel you in your home he can feel you uh at a church service he can feel you when you're with your friends he can he can feel you when you're by when you're by yourself beside your bed I'll never forget as as I uh As I Grew Older and I begin uh to see um more and more people filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost I begin to radically realize that there was no limitation to the when and the where all Jesus is looking for is somebody that is willing to reach out to him and willing to come to him in desperation and prayer I'll never forget being at a CMI service and there was a girl named Shanah she was uh wanting the Holy Ghost she had heard about it and she had decided that she was going to pray for it and so we had prayed and service was coming to an end and and they were getting ready to transition into snacks and your boy is all about snacks but there was something still special that was happening and Shai hadn't received the gift of the Holy Ghost yet and and so all of a sudden as everybody else begin to kind of begin to transition to fellowship and fun and no problem with that Shaniah was still Desperately Seeking the gift of God spirit and so we we walked outside and I I I I saw Shanah as she stood on the sidewalk with her hands lifted all of a sudden begin to speak a Heavenly language and it it wasn't in a church service it wasn't during worship it was on a sidewalk at a college campus that God be to fill Shanah with the gift of the Holy Ghost I'll never forget being overseas and we were in Switzerland we were on the way to a Bible study and we were in need of a translator and and the translator wasn't going to make and so we arrive and and there's there's nobody to translate and so in Europe everybody knows quite a few languages and so that night there were several people in the room that that knew Spanish and so I called A buddy of mine stat side hi me and I said hey man I I need you to translate uh I don't know what you're about to do he's like well I'm about to be on my lunch break and I was like man I I need to know if you can eat a burger and translate and preach at the same time so we we walk into this we walk into this living room we walk into this house and it wasn't a church service we we didn't have a pull pit we didn't have an amazing band like you guys have it was just a few of us in a living room and uh I uh I was the I was the choir director you know what that means uh there was an iPad on the living room table and uh we had YouTube worship and so as the choir director uh I had the the difficult uh responsibility of pressing play and after the first worship song uh worship was going so well that I thought we need to have one more worship song and so by faith I pressed next and then I pressed play and we had some more worship and so all of a sudden worship is over it's just a few of us with YouTube Worship in the living room it's kind of awkward uh but I know what awkward feels like because I know how awkward it was when I first receive the Holy Ghost and so awkward really doesn't bother me anymore and so I I uh I I took out my phone it was on speaker phone and U haime was on the other end and so I would say something one 2 3 4 five 6 7 8 nine it seemed like 10 seconds later ha's voice would come over the phone and he would translate I thought man I got to shorten this bible study this is so weird I'm frustrated I'm this is this is not how church is supposed to be this supposed to be locked in things this is just cringey this is awkward and the Lord spoke in that moment he spoke to a buddy of mine right beside me he saido not limit what I can do so we begin to share the gospel we begin to share the name of Jesus we begin to share about the Holy Ghost and at the end with 10 seconds of delayed translation every single sentence I said who would like to receive the gift of God's spirit several ladies raised their hand long story short I put the phone in their ears and God filled both of them with the gift of the Holy Ghost not as I prayed them through but as H prayed for them over speaker phone but that's not the end of the story as we're as we're ending our prayer a pastor walks into the living room and he had heard that there was a Apostolic Bible study and an Apostolic Church forming and so he came to see what we were about and I thought Within Myself yo fam this is not the night to see what we are about this is like this is the cringy night like come when we got it all together but Hae began to talk to him over the speaker phone and Hae begin to pray with him over the speaker phone and we're just sitting there with the phone and we're watching the Revelation come over his face and he lifted up his hands and in a suit and a tie a pastor received the gift of the Holy Ghost in that living room over speaker phone we ended up making a trip back to his church the next year and people in his church were baptized and they were filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost I'm telling you you don't realize how amazing and awesome this gift truly is it can find anyone anywhere anytime stay standing all across the room with me stay standing all across the room with me this is what I've learned this is what I've learned I have learned a few things but this is what I've noticed those that pray for the Holy Ghost get the Holy Ghost those that don't pray for the Holy Ghost don't get the Holy Ghost you want to know how you're not going to receive the gift of God's spirit by not praying for it but I've never seen somebody earnestly continually seek the spirit of God and not receive it why because it is a promise it is a promise it is a promise you don't have to earn it you don't have to work for it you don't have to try it from God's hands all you have to do is receive it and can I be honest with you again I'm really trying to be honest today there's a whole lot of times that I have found out that it took me a while to receive and it took me a while to yield I'll never forget a lady walking up to me and she asked me she said I I prayed for the Holy Ghost for x amount of years and and I I don't understand why it it took me so long for God to give give me the spirit and I'm telling you it was like a a rama quickening took place in my spirit and the Lord just impressed me to tell her it didn't take you x amount of years for God to give you the spirit it took you x amount of years to yield and to receive it I'm telling you God wants to give us the spirit more than we even want to receive it God wants to renew us so I I'm not just speaking to young men and women in this room that perhaps have never received the gift of God's spirit I I I want I want to I'm speaking to men and women in this room that have also received it and God wants to renew you God wants to refill you I know what it is a lot of us know what it is to hear those lies you didn't receive the spirit of God that you didn't really speak in tongues sometimes you got to remind the enemy you didn't just receive the gift of God's spirit but you still have it and the way that you can notify the enemy that you still have it is to be renewed again and again and again so this is what I want to do today I want to invite everybody to come back to this front can we do that I want to invite everybody to come back to this front I want to invite everybody to come as close as you can come as close as you can I want you to stay standing can you do that I want everybody to stay standing leave some room for your friends don't squash anybody don't suffocate anybody but I want everybody to come I want everybody to come this is so awesome so so proud of you guys so proud of you guys I appreciate every senior appreciate every Junior High I I appreciate everybody I appreciate everybody coming to this front now I want everybody to look at me I want everybody to look at me I want everybody to look at me the reason I want you to look at me is because I want you to hear me we're going to do something really simple we're going to pray you know what we're going to do we're going to ask the Lord to forgive us what does that sound like that sounds like Jesus forgive me Jesus I'm sorry I want I I I want you to wash me I want you to cleanse me I I I Surrender my past my present my future I just I want you to forgive me you know what the Bible says the Bible says that he is faithful to forgive right that's consistency the older you get you believe the lie that this is something he can't forgive and that is something he and I know this this is that one thing he can't forgive but the Bible says that he is faithful to forgive right the Bible also says he is ready to forgive it's not just consistency it's urgency that means he was in this altar before we were he waits for the moment that we will surrender to him we're going to pray and we're going to ask the Lord to forgive us if you're in this room today and you've never been baptized in the name of of Jesus you need to consider being baptized in the name that's above every name you need to talk to your teacher about it you need to talk to your parents about it you need to allow a curiosity to rise in you to want to know more about it cuz when we are baptized in the name of Jesus every sin is washed away and we rise with Christ in the newness of life our our future is never the same our present our past is never the same we're covered in his name after we've prayed and asked the Lord to forgive us we're going to begin to lift up our hands we're going to begin to lift up our head we're going to begin to lift up our voice why we could hold our hands in our pockets we could hold our head down we could we could pray timidly quietly under our breath but we're going to come to God with faith right and that that faith is going to reflect our posture that faith is going to reflect in our in our voice we're going to come to God with expectancy we're going to come to God with courage and bravery we're going to lift up our hands we're going to lift up our head going to lift up our voice and we're going to begin to worship God we're going to begin to praise God you know what the Bible says I know I'm being simple today but it just simply says that he inhabits the Praises of his people I'm telling you right now I want everyone to keep listening to me for just a minute after we've prayed and asked the Lord to forgive us we're going to begin to lift up our hands and our our voice and that prayer of repentance is going to turn into praise and worship and you know what it's going to sound like Jesus I love you Jesus I worship you Jesus I Adore You Jesus I bless you Hallelujah to your name I praise you God we're not going to beg him we're not going to twist his arm we're just going to Simply worship him and I'm telling you right now some of you don't even some of you might not even believe it cuz it just it still feels a little awkward but all of a sudden as you begin to worship him you're going to begin to feel the atmosphere change going to be you're going to feel I'm telling you right now you're going to feel something moving around you but then it's going to want to move in on the inside of you and then it's going to want to flow out of you and you're going to have that decision that we all have we can shut it down we can hold it in or we can just yield and let it out right one of my favorite descriptions of the spirit of God is simply this joy unspeakable and full of Glory how do you speak about something that's unspeakable how do you describe something that's Indescribable you just have to have it for yourself you just have to get it for yourself so if you're here today and you have never receive the gift of the Holy Ghost yet key word yet and if you you've never spoken in tongues yet I'm telling you right now we don't have to pray for hours we're not going to be here all day we're just going to reach out to God right and just like that he can f you with his presence so I want you to do something for me if you're if you're beside somebody I I I I I want you to I I don't want you to distract them I don't want you to hinder them from praying we're all going to help each other pray and there's some of us that are really serious today and so I I don't want to I don't want to stop anybody I don't want to distract anybody that's serious all right so what that means is we're not going to talk to them we're not going to tell them any jokes we're we're we're going to let everybody talk to Jesus okay we're g to let everybody pour out their heart to God and so that's what I want us to do I want us to lift up our hands together as a family can we do that can we lift up our hands as high as we can can we lift up our head together as a family and can we close our eyes can we remove every distraction I don't want you looking at your buddy I don't want you looking at me I don't want you looking at sister Brooke I don't want you looking at your teachers I want you to just close your eyes and I want you to focus on Jesus and now would you would you begin to open your mouth and out loud would you begin to talk to him would you begin to pour out your heart to him thank you seniors thank you Junior highs thank you students would you just begin to open your mouth and would you just begin to repent would you begin to pour out your heart to God all over again Jesus I I need you to forgive me I need you to cleanse me I need you to wash me God take away any filth God remove any weight God remove any distraction God remove anything in my heart that's not like you remove anything God that doesn't please you God I I I want that Purity again I want that refreshing I want that renewing come on this is so beautiful you don't realize that your prayer is affecting somebody else you don't realize that your sincerity is affecting somebody else come on that's it come on I feel his grace in this room I feel his Mercy in this room we're going to transition to worship and praise in just a moment but right now right now is a holy pause right now is a holy moment right now is a moment of surrender God I need you all over again God I open up my heart to you God I open up my spirit to you God I need you on the inside of me Jesus I Need Your Presence I see it I see tears beginning to flow come on I see young men and women boys and girls praying with sincerity that's it that's it I I feel him in this room today come on that's it he's here he's here he is here
