like to tell everybody uh wherever I go I'm I'm not used to doing uh deput what they call deputation I've always been on the other side of it as a pastor so I'm not real good at it I'm just doing what they tell me to do so I'm hoping I'm doing okay to trying to give you the burden of Cuba and let you know what's happening there amen Deuteronomy chapter 4 once again it's a great honor I'm so thankful For What the Lord Has Done in this place from McKinley Street to what God has done I think we ought to clap our hands to the Lord don't you amen it's amazing and your pastor and pastor's wife they've always been so dedicated and so dedicated and loving love the Lord and so dedicated to the work of God they're just an inspiration to me and I love them dearly I'm telling you what he's been a blessing to me through the years and um we just appreciate them having us tonight tonight Deuteronomy chapter 4 I want to bring you a a word of encouragement tonight to this church and uh I just felt something in my heart my spirit I wanted to share with you Deuteronomy chapter 4 verse 26 the word of the Lord says I call Heaven and Earth to witness against you this day that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land where unto you go over Jordan to possess him you shall not prolong your days upon it but sh but shall utterly be destroyed and the Lord shall scatter you among the Nations and ye shall be left few in number among the Heathen with the Lord shall lead you and there shall and there ye shall serve Gods the work of men's hands wood and stone which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell but my focus tonight is on verse 29 but if from then and a lot of translations just simply say if from there everybody say if from there from there if from there Thou shalt seek the Lord thy God Thou shalt find him if thou sh if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul and so tonight just for a few moments I just want to talk to you from there from there wherever you're at tonight God knows where your there is tonight and wherever you're there is there's a God that'll meet you there and he'll take you from point A to where he wants you to be that's just the way that God works amen you don't have to get everything fixed up everything taken care of wherever you are tonight where you're there it is I believe God's going to meet you would you lift your hands right now and let's pray and ask God's blessing father we do love you we magnify your name we ask ask your blessing upon the preach word of God I need your anointing I ask God that you would touch the hearts and the minds to receive the precious word of the Lord in Jesus name we pray and everybody say amen amen you may be seated I'm drinking this water I'm so nervous and uh my mouth's getting so dry so I'm G to keep drinking that water I'm sure but here we have the backdrop of this this these scriptures here in our text is Moses and he's speaking to the children of Israel and he's just telling them simply that it's very important that when you go into the land of promise that you be obedient to the Lord he said you're getting ready to go over and you're going to possess the good land in other words you're going to have houses that you did not build you're going to have Vineyards that you did not plan and he went on all the benefits that God was going to give them and he just simply says make sure that you don't forget where your blessings come from amen I know I'm speaking to people here tonight that have been blessed of the Lord and I'm sure God would just remind us all over again make sure when God's blessing you don't forget about God Amen don't forget about praising him don't forget about your dedication to him don't forget about your faithfulness to him when it becomes easy amen and the blessings of God and the windows of Heaven pour out blessings upon you make sure that you don't forget about the Lord and that's what God was trying to instruct them whatever happens in your life when you receive all these blessings make sure you remember me make sure you're able to give me praise make sure you take some time out of your busy schedule and just acknowledge that I'm the one that's blessed you so Moses if you will he's standing on the heights of Hebrew history and he points sadly to the Exile that was going to happen to them they were going to be taken away into Babylonian captivity and just as Moses had prophesied by the inspiration of God approximately 800 years later neb Nebuchadnezzar came and he took the children of Israel into that captivity and now we're finding them they're having to leave the holy city if you will they're having to leave the Great temple the M Mount alette they having to walk away from all the blessings of God I can imagine as a tread upon across that desert and that hot sun that before they got too far they would turn around they would look back and say my we had it made when we were there in Jerusalem we had it made and the blessings of God we had it made in that city of God if you will we had it made in God's presence and power I don't want to lose what God has given to me I don't want to have to look back one day and be far away from the blessings of God but I want to embrace everything that the Lord is doing in my life right now I want to embrace the presence of God and appreciate the goodness of the Lord do you feel that way tonight day after day they're trotting across that desert and each step took them a little further away from Jerusalem and as I thought about that scenario I thought about how sin is incremental it's just a little bit at a time we lose our dedication to the house of God we may slack up a little bit in our prayer life we're not worshiping like we used to worship we're not praising God like we used to praise him we're not singing from our heart like we used to that's the way sin will do you just a little bit at a time and before you know it you're missing out on everything that God had blessed you with you're so far away you're kind of like a boat without an anchor before you know it you start drifting and you don't even realize how far I have drifted away amen I pray tonight there's nobody that's drifting away but if you are tonight I got good news for you wherever you're at you're there right now amen God's going to meet you there if you have desire tonight there'll be a god that'll show up there'll be a god that'll meet you in that place and God wants to help you tonight would you say amen and at last they arrived in Babylon and here in Babylon there were in fantastic temples but there was no Sanctuary to the one true Living God they hear strange hymns and songs to strange gods they have Gods with mysterious names that puzzled them but no one knows their God that's the way that the enemy will do it he'll take you out in the world it'll look uh spectacular it'll look fabulous it'll look like it's has so much to offer you but once you get there you'll find that it's empty I was preaching in a service not too long ago and I noticed a lady that was pretty distraught and I I walked up to her and I just said are you okay can I pray for you and she says no I'm not okay and I'd love for you to pray for me she said what happened I lived for God I was raised in the church and I lived for God for many years and all of a sudden I got drawn out into the world and she said the people that I went out to the world with they hurt me and they abused me and they did me wrong and here I am trying to pick up the pieces and I spoke a word to her I said listen right now where you're at I believe God's going to start a new chapter in your life right now where you're at God's going to forgive you and wash You by his blood and he's going to renew You by his spirit and I want you to know the power of the Holy Ghost Came Upon her and she began to speak in other tongues as the spirit of God gave the utterance and she was renewed by the power of almighty God can you praise him tonight can you praise the Lord hallelujah come on thank God that another Soul made their way back to the Lord and so I know I'm in a place tonight A group of this size people there are people that are struggling with all sorts of things amen the world is really trying its best to wear out the Saints we know that's happening we're living in purist times we're we're living in an end time I think I think the Lord could come back at any time amen I read an article the other day in the headlines just jumped out me and said Israel is surrounded by their enemies I remember reading that in the word of God that it's going to come bad against Israel but I know there's going to be a God that's going to rescue Israel ultimately amen there's a God that's here tonight that wants to come to your rescue you don't have to you don't have to be lost God didn't design you to be a drug addict do God didn't design you to be depressed or have anxiety and all the other things that's not the way God designed you God designed you that you had peace that you'll have joy that you'll have the Holy Ghost that you'll have power that's how God designed you amen when I grew up I told sister log many years ago I was ashamed for many years to tell about how I grew up and then I realized that I need to share it because it could help somebody that also grew up that way but when I grew up I grew up in a drug addict and alcoholic family they dealt drugs out of our home and that all I heard was confusion and Chaos all the time my brothers had scales up in the rooms and people would come and go and buy drugs and buy marijuana and buy Quaaludes and all kinds of prescription drugs and I remember as a young boy brother Carpenter I remember crying now I didn't know God but I remember crying out God I need you to rescue me and I want you to know as a young teenage boy God met me at my there amen when I couldn't take it no longer I begin to smoke drugs at 10 years old but there was a God that had pity on me there was a God that had mercy on me there was a God that met me I was a nobody and a nothing coming from a drug addict home but there was a God that rescued me because in my there I said God I need you I need you and so when I come into a place like this and I'll be done in a minute but when I come into a place like this amen as great as it is as as spectacular as it is and man it makes you want to jump up and down and run and and praise the lord it's so it's so thrilling to be here and the music is so awesome but I don't need an orchestrated event for me to remember what God brought me from I remember where I was at I remember how miserable I was I remember what sin was trying to do to me and my family and thank God he rescued me and so when I I come into the house of God so when I end up in the house of God whether you have all of this or it's just one person on the piano playing and singing I still got to praise for the Lord I still going to lift my hands I'm still going to remember what God has done for me because God is so awesome so wherever you are tonight whatever you're there it is there's a God that wants to rescue you I thought about the prodal son amen is Sor if I come down these steps brother Carpenter if I fall pick me up okay amen praise the Lord I thought about the prodical son and I'm going to be done in just a few moments all right I learned not to preach too long I preach 20 minutes a day and two backsliders prayed through and the firsttime visitor came so I said I better keep it short amen hallelujah and so I I I think about the prodal son he had it made and some of you had it made somewhere along the line if you're honest you know you're drifting a little bit you may be starting to think and look a little bit of ways and your mind's not where it needs to be your dedication is not what it used to be amen there could be good people that sometimes we end up a far away and didn't even mean to get there just a little bit at a time but this prodal he woke up one day and had a bad idea about I'm going to leave and man would you want to leave something as good as this as good as the blessings of God has been to you where the power of God is moving where there's Miracles that abound but this young man got it in his mind I'm going to get out and I'm G to leave and he went out and ended up in the pig pen and I know you know the story but the rest of the story as Paul Harvey used to say was the father in my estimation he was looking for his son and I studied and I read one time about this this situation there they said that this father would look for his son simply because there was a there was a a a little ritual or or rule if you will in the Jewish Community when somebody forsook and somebody left and they shamed the community and they shamed their family that when they would try to come back those group of people would meet them when they saw them and they would say a ritual over them and cast them out of the community forever so this father he knew that sometimes people can be that way now I I I know that all of you are forgiving people people but sometimes people can be that way amen sometimes the hardest thing we struggle with is forgiveness that's right but this father knew that my son's Destiny is depending on me keep an eye out and all of a sudden Brother Phelps he saw this young man and he did he didn't look like he used to look he was smelling he was tattered and he's messed up he's been in the pict in and he's lost everything prodal doesn't mean missing son prodal means wasteful son he's wasted everything sometimes we don't realize amen we're wasting time we're wasting energy we're wasting talent that we could give to the Lord so I'm asking somebody wherever your there is amen why don't you let God meet you there today and change your life for the better and so this father he sees him coming and he says that's my son and this is this broke all protocol this father he began to run and they said that that was not part of their culture that it wasn't a thing they did it broke protocol but he knew that I needed to get them because it's never been up to man to make judgment God's the only one that can judge and he said I got to get to my son amen so I don't want anybody here to feel shame and condemnation tonight because it's not over man can't shame you man can't put condemnation on you there's a father that's looking for you tonight and he's said I'm going to meet you whereever you're at and I want to change your life let's all stand today let's all stand this evening musicians if you'll come just for a moment would you lift your hands all over this place let's talk to God in the name of Jesus God I pray tonight that somebody realize this is their breakthrough service I pray tonight wherever you're at we're at God that you would take us further in you I pray God that you would touch us aresh tonight in the name name of Jesus now I know there's some great Soul winners in this place tonight but I want to say to you tonight there's Soul winners that have not even been activated yet there's people in this place that got talent and ability but you've been sitting back too far away it's time to let God meet you right where you're at and radically change your life and set a fire in you so you can do the will of God there are people here that can help turn this community upside down but all we have to do is allow God to meet us there he said listen wherever you're at it's not difficult wherever you're at all we have to do is begin to seek God he didn't say go home and try to fix all the mess go home and and and and try to get everything straightened out he didn't say that he said just begin to seek me just begin to seek my facei with all your heart all your strength begin to seek God all you have to do is say God I need you and you know what as bad as that situation was Moses Moes knew Moses knew and he tried to speak that word and I'm here just to speak a word to somebody here tonight why don't you right now seek God with all your heart why don't you lift up your voice why don't you begin to call on God why don't you begin wherever you're at why don't you come back home why don't you come back to the blessings of God why don't you come back being in the will of God being used by God come on God is calling you tonight in Jesus name
