after what i say it may not i'm not sure but i do know i feel like i need to give just some teaching and pastor can take it from here if this doesn't carry over into prayer but i do want to speak to the voice that would try to discourage you from being so vocal and demonstrative and i i would guess that not everybody here this is your home church yet you're looking you're a guest you're a visitor maybe you've been here a long time but it's not your personality to be so expressive i get it i don't mock or insult your personality because it's a real thing it's a real thing when you look at the word worship in the new testament it literally means a dog licking a master's hand it's all about humility worship is a humbling embarrassing thing you're a dog licking the master's hand how desperate are you to get a crumb from the base of that table the other lesson we can learn from is jericho the story goes where they would march around the walls of jericho and they were not to say a word it was an introvert's dream all the extroverts the introverts told you so you don't need all that sound seven days then on the seventh seven times around but all of a sudden he said on the last time you shout with a great shout every introvert's nightmare see there's a lesson for both sides of the personality it's not about your personality it's about obedience and when god calls for it you need to give it and those walls came down i honestly i don't know anything like i've never watched a service online of you i haven't investigated and asked questions about i don't know anything about how what the spiritual atmosphere here is i could simply just be honest with you in what i felt here since i've been for 48 hours that you guys have phenomenal music your phenomenal group but there is not the level of flow that ought to be here i don't say that mean-spirited whatsoever i'm just i'm just an outsider trying to help that there should be a niagara falls surge coming through this room there's a few reasons as to why i cannot go through all of it but one of them is your level of worship is not where god is looking for i don't say that in a mean way but there ought to be a raging river there is a moment it should have happened yesterday when some man came down that choir loft and ran i felt it in my spirit and i was waiting to see a rally take off and nobody went with him i'm not rebuking you i'm just letting you know there was a moment in that service something should have happened but you got to get desperate every day for a move of god now there's nothing the bible says thou shalt run ten times a week thou shall scream till you lose your voice every sunday nothing in the bible says that in fact you don't have to clap you don't have to lift your hands you don't have to run you don't have to you don't have to do any of it but i've learned this every type of praise comes with a type of blessing solomon could have just gave a pigeon god didn't say i need thousands of rams and thousands of bullocks and thousands of goats but solomon was desperate to dedicate that temple to the lord to the best of his ability then the fire came do you really it's a beautiful logo but do you really want to see that thing happen in this room to an extent in which you have desired you've heard about but you have yet to see with your own eyes it's sacrifice of praise and the praise that we give on a day-to-day basis is there actually any sacrifice to it or is it a gesture of praise a gesture of worship i know that every sunday is not going to be you rolling on the floor and you jumping because there's there's differences not every service is the exact same the spirit ebb and flow there's different types of sir there's somberness there's conviction but there needs to be your voice and this is what i feel in spirit and again pastor you could undo all the things i say he's your pastor i'm not but you are so blessed with what you have here that you can rely on them to make all this sound but these inanimate objects do not have what you have and that is the breath of god now teach their fingers to war in their hands to fight there's anointing in plain but as it says in psalm 150 praise them upon the high sounding symbols praise them in the timberwolves it goes through all the instruments but then it gets to the last most important thing that god is after let everything that hath breath praise the lord they are preparing your spirit they're preparing you to open up and to release the sound and to release the voice i thank god i'm not against music because it's all biblical and we need it it's part of it all but do not excuse yourself and let your voice be absent from all your voice matters what would happen in this place if on more services more voices were added to the moment look at psalm 149 verse 6 you know i'm going to wrap up right now i know i probably seems like i'm deflating the whole thing but i feel very clear to teach it says let the high praises of god be in your mouth and a two-edged sword in your hand when you begin to praise god because this is what i learned in watertown south dakota in the whole the northern region of where i'm at it's like an iron curtain over your head and the sun don't shine and there's no hope whatsoever it's like a wet blanket just sucking out any element of faith and hope that you could have but we had to force ourselves to praise and when we began to praise through all that pressure there was a piercing through that cloud because your praise the high praise is like a two-edged sword in your hand piercing through the enemy the prince of the power of the air and there's an opening for there to be a heavenly dispatch into this realm here you have reached places that you have enjoyed but god's saying let the high praises begin to rise inside this congregation and you will begin to see a greater open heaven over this congregation but you've got to let god hear your voice you've got to begin to call on the name of the lord they ought not to have to beg you they ought not to have to plead with you oh come on worship oh please worship oh please would you love god oh please would you go please come on can you do it come on there ought to be a desire and a passion to let the high praises of god be in our mouth come on you're in a war you're in a battle pierce open the darkness over your head and let the heavens shine down in your praise come on there's healing and praise there's virtue and praise just the other year a man worshiping at her church lifted his hands and the disease on his hands disappeared while he praised god god inhabits the praise of his people god lives in your praise god lives in your worship oh um okay come on there's a healing in your praise right now there's a healing in your praise right now there's a healing in your praise right now come on you're piercing through that depression that's been oh that cloud that's been over your head let the high praise of god be in your mouth and pierce through that dark cloud over your head right now in the name of jesus i cast down imaginations in every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of god i bring in a captivity every thought to the obedience of christ jesus go ahead and praise them go ahead and praise them go ahead and praise him uh wow ah uh ah i'll give you another verse i'm going to give you a chance to apply it 2nd thessalonians chapter 2 and verse 8 it says then shall that wicked be revealed whom the lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth in the new living translation it says it like this the lord jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth the devil can't stand god's breath he breathed life into you and you have the holy ghost the devil hates your voice why do you think there's so much turmoil and convincing in your mind not to lift your voice the enemy will be slain by the very breath spirit of god if you are filled with the holy ghost you have the breath of god and you begin to call on the name of the lord you slay that adversary whatever is attacking your mind begin to lift your voice as your pastor comes i want you to lift your voice and let's just knock the devil one more time come on slay that spirit that's been against you
