fin have we got this microphone just about right now okay would you stand with me one more time you can go down amen this church has been very good to cooperate and I'm going to do something tonight that is unusual for Sunday night as you are aware that we have Bible College on Monday night and uh we're not going to have Bible College tomorrow night so I am going to do my Bible College lesson tonight and uh it is lesson number 15 and I realize that that uh Wednesday night that I did lesson 14 and the reason that I am going to uh do this lesson tonight is because August the 31st is coming upon us very rapidly and uh I've got to do at least five more lessons after tonight in order to finish this course and the the reason it is important is because every family from beginning August 31st that comes into our church that visits our church will be given a 20 DVD series called Through the Bible and uh it is very important that I get this series finished before we have our mail out and I'll let you know ahead of time that we are expecting over 300 families to visit our church in the month of September amen and this is 300 families that will visit for the very first time and every family that comes into our church for the first time will receive this 20 DVD series with all the notes when they come into our service not only that but we're going to advertise our website and our live broadcast uh on our advertising that goes out and we're going to invite everybody that watches our broadcast to take home Bible study by mail and we will send them one DVD a week with the notes for 20 weeks and uh I believe that one church can affect the whole state of Kansas anybody want to believe that with me amen now I realize that you're used to high octane preaching on Sunday night I realized that and we had some high octane this morning the Holy Ghost was in the service this morning and uh for a fact h a great number of people told me that they they were so deeply moved uh by the service this morning and uh that uh they thought I was going to preach the second part of that tonight but but you got to feel what I preached this morning you got to feel that anointing and uh but instead of feeling that same anointing I feel very LED and very directed to do what I'm going to do tonight amen I'd like for us to go to the Lord in prayer uh brother Johnny I'm I'm not understanding are you going up and down on me okay get me one volume and leave me because it it it okay oh Hallelujah that scares me hallelujah amen thank you praise God Amen you can you can turn me down just a little bit and you've never heard that before have you Hallelujah we going to get everything right before we start tonight praise God the Lord's going to bless here amen amen I have never said turn me down wow hallelujah amen we want to welcome all of our visitors tonight in the house of God would you give our visitors a nice

hand thank you very much amen praise God I appreciate your kindness and your patience and and I know that that when you slow down and you teach uh that it bore some of you to tears and I just ask one thing if you go to sleep don't snore praise God let us go to the Lord in prayer father in the name name of Jesus I thank you tonight for your presence I ask you Lord to lead us and guide us and direct us into that portion of your word that is so important to our lives I ask you to bless this this lesson tonight as as we bring it oh Lord and I ask in the name of Jesus that you would touch every listener and everyone that watches this DVD tonight I pray that they could look learn the purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ and everybody said amen please be seated tonight I want to talk about the purpose of our Lord Jesus Christ now I'm going to take just a moment and I want to review some of the things that we have learned and we have studied in the past number one we know that Jesus Christ was introduced and was baptized by John the Baptist uh in John 1 29 Jesus was walking down the road towards the Sea of G uh the excuse me the uh the River Jordan and John said Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world we know that when Jesus was baptized that he fasted he went in the wilderness and he fasted 40 days and there he met the devil he overcame the devil in the most weakened state that Jesus would ever be in we we know that the Lord was a very capable Minister he healed all manner of sickness and disease and I might add he is still in the healing business if you're watching this DVD tonight I want to encourage you that if the doctor says there's nothing else they can do there is a great physician there is a great physician that will heal you and I might say praise the Lord there is a church that still believes that God will heal you for a fact when you come to our church we pray for people every night that the Lord would heal them and we have had outstanding miracles of healing amen we know that he was that Jesus was our great high priest that could be touched with the feelings of our infirmities are you glad GL that Jesus can be touched with what you're hurting with he knows and he cares and he understand praise God Not only was he a great miracle worker but Jesus was the greatest teacher that ever walk on this Earth amen he came to reveal himself to mankind God was in the abstract in the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth but nobody could see him and and nobody could feel him and nobody could reach out and touch him but when Jesus came to this earth he came to reveal God to man and when you look at Jesus Christ you was looking at the embodiment of the almighty God Jesus said I am Alpha I am the Omega in Revelation he says I am the almighty God I'm the one which is and which was and which is to come the almighty praise God Jesus came that he might teach mankind that you can have a second chance anybody ever bloated on your first chance Jesus came that you might have a second chance and that second chance is called the new birth John said you must be born again and when you are born born again your life literally starts over praise God we also in our last lesson we studied the Redemptive Act of Jesus Christ by dying on that cross anybody thanking God for that cross I thank God for the cross of Jesus Christ amen it might look ugly to the world but it is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen praise God there is nothing nothing to a child of God that's more beautiful than the Cross of Christ everybody said amen we also tonight we

want to start and we want to talk about the doctrine of substitution Jesus Christ came to shed his blood for the sins of all mankind can I have an amen let's look at a few verses look at Genesis 3 and verse 21 for just a moment amen we know that Jesus became our great substitute for a fact God said in the in the second chapter of Genesis in the day thou eatest thereof speaking of that that tree in the midst of the garden he said in the day you eat thereof you shall surely die and it was the only tree in the whole garden that God said don't touch it don't eat it lest you die and guess what mankind disobeyed God and they ate of that tree and when they ate of that tree what was the penalty for eating of that tree it was nothing more than death but you say but mankind did not die the reason that God did not kill man physically was because his love and his righteousness met together his righteousness said if you eat you're going to die but God's love was as great as his righteousness I thank God for that I thank God is not a hatchet God that's trying to reach out and kill everybody but the love of God loves you so much that he himself met his righteousness with his love and when righteousness and love met together Mercy was produced amen and the Lord said I am going to slay animals I'm going to shed innocent blood until the day that I can come and die on that cross for for all of mankind I am going to take your place in judgment I am going to die in your place and we call this the doctrine of substitution look at Genesis chter 3 and verse 21 unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothe them now that sounds like an innocent verse Until you realize that it was the very first death in all the Bible I mean the Lord did not send this lamb to a slaughter house and out of the sight of all Humanity kill it but God himself reached down and grabbed that innocent lamb and killed that lamb rip the bloody skins off that animal and WRA those bloody skins around the naked flesh of Adam and Eve and thus he let Adam and Eve know you cannot clothe your own self and righteous Ness what what by the way what did they make and put on when they found out they were naked fig leaves and guess what happens to Fig leaves when they dry up they split and since God does not like split skirts he Reed their their their naked flesh and those bloody skins and the blood ran down their hairy legs and form and pulled between their toes and thus God was saying it's going to take the shedding of blood for you to be redeemed it's going to take the shedding of blood if you're going to be saved I thank God when John introduced Jesus he said Behold the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world Amen look at Genesis chapter 4 and verse one we find the reinforcement of this doctrine of substitution in Genesis chter 4 verse one Adam knew Eve his wife and she conceived and bar Cain and said I have gotten a man from the Lord and Chan bear his brother Abel Abel was a keeper of the sheep Cain was a tiller of the ground look at verse number three in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord and Abel he also brought of the firstling of his flock and of the fat thereof and the Lord notice now and the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect and you know what Cain got mad or he was wro and his countenance fell and the Lord said to Cain why are you mad why is thy countenance Fallen If thy doest well or if you'll bring the right SA sacrifice shall thou not also be accepted but if thou doest not well or if you don't bring the right sacrifice

sin lith at the door the Lord is saying there is only one thing that you can bring to me for your sins and that is the shed blood of an innocent animal that is the only substitute that God would allow praise God he did not accept kain's sacrifice because it contained the the fruit of a cursed ground and God does not want a cursed sacrifice and therefore if you're going to come to God in the Old Testament you had to bring the blood of an innocent animal and all through the Old Testament we find the sacrifices of innocent animals and it was all pointing to one thing and that was the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ can I have it amen let me give you another important verse look at Genesis chapter 3 and verse number 15 amen the there are two passages of scripture that we begin to realize that Jesus was going to be our great substitute the first prophecy ever given in the scripture was talking about this great substitute that was to come look at Genesis 3 and ver1 15 I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed amen there's going to be a war between the devil and the woman and boy have we ever more seen that not that the devil does not fight men because he does but if you want a real battle on your hands look at the battle that has gone on for eternity between the the woman and the devil praise God notice the seed of the woman is going to bruise thy head and now he's speaking to the devil okay the seed of the woman is going to bruise your head and thou shalt bruise his heel and the writer of Matthew makes it very clear he says as they were eating Jesus Took bread and blessed it and break it and gave it to his disciples said take eat this is my body he took the cup and gave thanks and gave it them saying drink ye all of it for this is my blood of the new testament which is shed for many for the remission of sins ladies and gentlemen all have sinned and come short of the glory of God there is none right just know not one but can I tell you that Jesus Christ said this is my blood which is shed for many for the remission or the payment for your sins I thank God for the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ because that blood was shed for you and for I even the writer of Hebrews says it very well look at Hebrews chapter 9 and verse number 11 but Christ being a high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect Tabernacle not made with hands that is say not of this building neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy Place having obtained Eternal Redemption for us for if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heer sprinkling the unclean Sanctified to the purifying of the flesh how much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God Purge your conscience from dead Works to serve the Living God and for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament that by means of death for the Redemption of the transgressions that was under the first testament they which are called might receive the promise of Eternal inheritance and where a testament is there must also of necessity be the death of the testator for a testament is a force after men are dead otherwise it is no strength at all while the testator liveth whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood for when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law he took the blood of calves and of goats with water and Scarlet wool and hiss up and sprinkled both the book and all the people saying this is the blood of the testament which God has enjoined to you moreover he sprinkled with blood both the Tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry and almost all things by the law are purged with blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins I thank God for the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ can I have an amen I thank God for his death for his burial and for his resurrection praise God Amen when you must remember that Jesus was more than just a man can I have it amen he was more than just a man for when the man died he was buried however the grave could not hold

him if if there's one thing that our churches and our preachers and and our Bible teachers all over the world have almost forgotten and that is we must preach the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ because without a resurrection his death would have been in vain without the resurrection we would have no Miracles without the resurrection we would have no hope of getting out of the Grave ourself can I have it amen I am 59 years old I am speeding toward that day of my death I have no idea when that day will come it doesn't make any difference because even when I die I know that I'm not going to be long in that grave because a trumpet going to sound and I am going to come up out of that grave that give that gives me so much hope to know that because Jesus Christ came out of that grave Victorious over death over hell and over the grave I have hope can I have it amen look at Matthew chapter 27 and verse 57 and when the evening was come there came a rich man of armea named Joseph who also himself was Jesus disciple he went to pilate and begged the body of Jesus then pilate commanded the body to be delivered and when Joseph had taken the body he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth he laid it in his own new tomb which he had yed out in the Rock and he rolled a great Stone to the door of the Seer and departed and there was Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sitting over against the sepher now the next day that followed the day of preparation the chief priest and the phes came together unto pilot saying sir we remember that that deceiver said while he was yet alive after three days I will rise again now isn't it amazing that the Romans and and the chief priests and the Pharisees when even when they put him in the grave they remembered that he said in three days I will rise again now it's amazing how some of us forget that but his enemies did not forget that and so they made the the tomb secure they rolled a stone in front they set up guards uh to guard that tomb but can I tell you ladies and gentlemen the grave could not hold him he was more than just a man by his flesh the visible part of him was a man but the invisible part of him was the Mighty God and the Everlasting father God was in Christ look at Matthew 28 verse1 in the end of the Sabbath as it began to Dawn toward the first day of the week Came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the separer and behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back back the Stone from the door and sat upon it wait a minute wait a minute wait he's in the grave it's sealed and there was a great earthquake the stone was rolled back and and and and and he sat upon it and his countenance was like lightning and his rment white as snow and for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men now look look we got Jesus in the grave when he died on the cross Darkness came there was thunderings and Lightnings and a voice came uh uh and he said my God my God why H Thou forsaken me and and and it was kind of a spooky situation this man that raised the dead open the blinded eyes straighten out crooked limb cleanse the leper heal all manner of sickness and disease he's in that grave they they got the rock in front of it and and they're afraid that somebody's going to come and steal that body away and the earthquake comes and and and an angel comes and sits on that rock now if you was if you was a guard what would you have done I think I would have done the same thing if if if I wouldn't have died or fainted I would have faked it I ATD least want the angel think I was dead but but but they passed out can I have it amen and there was Mary magdalin and the other Mary sitting over against the sepr now the next day that father preparation the chief priest came I'm sorry the wrong verse and behold there was a great earthquake for the angel of

the Lord descended from heaven and came and roded back to Stone from the door and said his couns was as the lightning and his rment white as Stone and the fear of the him the keepers did shake and became as dead men and the angel answered and said to the women fear not ye for I know that you seek Jesus which was crucified he is not here for He Is Risen as he said come see the place where the Lord lay and go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead and behold he goth before you into Galilee and there shall you see him and lo I have told you and they departed quickly from the sepra with fear and great joy and did run and and bring his disciples work and Peter and John they run to the Seer and they the the stone is gone and they kneel down and look in and the tomb is empty praise God somebody said it's a good thing that the angel cause the earthquake and roll the stone back for for Jesus to get out ladies and gentlemen it wasn't the stone that kept him in that tomb and anybody that can raise themselves from the dead doesn't need somebody to move the stone either of the way amen they did the the earthquake did not move the stone for Jesus to get out but the Angels shook the the tomb for us to be able to look in and see that the tomb was empty I praise God I cannot overemphasize the fact that Jesus Christ raised himself from the dead praise God and he walked out of that tomb triumphant over death hell and the grave and because he came out of that tomb Because He Lives you and I can live also anybody thank God for the resurrection I I just I want to take a moment and and I want to talk about healings and miracles we we sometimes get into a rut of thinking that it's a ritual that you get prayed for and you're going to be healed but if you're sick or disease in your body I challenge you and if you're watching this DVD I I really challenge you if you need a healing that when you get down and you pray close your eyes and envision the resurrect resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and if God ever Reveals His resurrection power to you you can be healed very quickly by The Same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead can I have an amen when he came out of that grave he gave to us what is known as the Great Commission now I realize that in my Bible The Heading says the Great Commission every commission that Jesus ever gave was great but in order to identify one commission from another we refer to the the last commission that Jesus gave as the Great Commission Now I want to give you four different versions of the Great Commission now remember this Jesus walked with his disciples after his resurrection for 40 days he appeared to them for 40 days for a fact in one place they were all gathered in a room and and Thomas the disciple said except I see the nail prints in his hands and see his side I will not believe that he's alive and they were all in this room and all of a sudden Jesus without opening the door just appeared in that room and he said Thomas reach hither and behold my hands he pulled his garment back and said reach in and and touch my side where they pierced it with a sword and see that it is I and Thomas fell on his face and said my Lord and my God Jesus said Thomas because thou Hast seen thou Hast believed blessed is the man that hath not seen and and yet hath believed there is no way that I can see the nail prints today there's no way that I can thrust my hand into his side but because Thomas was able to do that and because it's written in the Bible I am a believer amen and so he led them out as far as Bethany and he blessed his disciples and he gave them that are actually Four versions of the commission look at Matthew 28 and verse 18 for the

first version Matthew 28 and verse number 18 Jesus came and spake to them saying all power is given unto me in heaven and in Earth go ye therefore and teach All Nations that is a commission that God hath given to every disciple we must go and teach All Nations and all people baptizing them in the name notice now in the name not names in the name singular in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost amen father is not a name son is not a name Holy Ghost is not a name name the father has a name the son has a name the Holy Ghost has a name can I share with you that Jesus said I am come in my father's name according to John and 5 and verse 43 Jesus had the same name as his father my name is Cornwell would you like to guess what my father's name was Cornwell guess what my son's name is Cornwell guess what his son's son's name is Cornwell praise God Jesus said I am come in my father's name the Bible says the Lord ha given him a name which is above every name amen when you when we talk about the father we're talking about that one eternal spirit that one God in the beginning God the Eternal spirit of God we refer to that that Spirit as the father when we refer to the son we're referring to that Flesh and Blood body that came out of the womb of Virgin Mary and guess what the Father the eternal spirit indwell the son or the body and and and and he gave that Flesh and Blood body his own name that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God to the eternal spirit praise God notice go you therefore and teach All Nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have command you and lo I Am With You Always even un the end of the world Amen he will never leave you he will never forsake you he will always be at your side my my Lord and my God that gives me great comfort to know that I am not alone my Jesus is always with me praise God let's look at the second version ma Mark chapter 16 and verse 15 now this is the same commission written by a different Man Mark writes and says and he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to Every Creature that's the same thing that he told them in Matthew's virgin he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devils and they shall speak with new tongues they shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them and they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall what they shall recover praise God these were some of the very last words that Jesus gave to us while he was on earth look at Luke chap 24 and verse 45 this is the third version of the same commission then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures and he said unto them thus it is written and thus it behoove Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem and you're witness of these things and behold I send the promise of my father upon you but T in the city of Jerusalem until you be endued with power from on high now I want to take a phrase

here that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at Jerusalem when the when you see the phrase remission of sins it is a direct reference to being baptized it is referring to the receiving of the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew chapter 26 Jesus said this blood is shed for many for the remission of sins we know and you know that no one can be saved without the shed blood of Jesus Christ in Acts chapter 2 and verse number 38 Peter said repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins now Peter says you have to be baptized in order to receive the remission of sins Matthew says that the shed blood was for the remission of sins so how do you reconcile remission of sins and the shed blood and is simply this in the Old Testament when the priest slew the animal before he could walk in the Tabernacle he had to wash his hands in the upper Laver of water he had to wash his feet in the lower Laver of water and guess what guess what was on his hands and what was on his feet it was the blood of that innocent animal and when he washed his hands he would simply washed the blood off of his hands in the water and thus the blood entered the water when he washed his feet he wash the blood off his feet in the water and when you go down in the watery grave in the waters of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ the blood of Jesus is applied to your life personally praise God don't let anybody tell you that baptism is not important don't let anybody tell you that baptism is only symbolic because that is the way that we appropriate the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is when we we are baptized and his name is invoked over us can I have it amen thank God for his name thank God for his blood you cannot separate the shed blood of Jesus from his precious name amen praise God repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all Nation now let me give you the fourth version Look at acts chap 1 and verse number three to whom also he showed himself aive after his Passion by many infallable proofs being seen of them 40 days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father which saith he you have heard of me for John truly baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost H not many days from now amen and when they therefore would come together they asked of him saying Lord will thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel he said it's not for you to know the times or the seasons which the father had put in his own power but you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth many people try to reform themselves I am going to be a better man and they work so hard to become a better person and I think that you ought to work at becoming a better person but can I tell you that the power of God and the spirit of the Holy Ghost is the only thing that can transform you I have seen I have seen the the the worst alcoholic in the world that had given up on AA had forgiven had given up on ever being sober again I have seen them walk down the aisle and kneel down before Jesus Christ and start saying Lord I am a sinner would you forgive me for my sins I am helpless and I am hopeless I need you Lord and raise their hands towards heaven and I have seen the Lord come down and baptize them with the

Holy Ghost and when they got up from that Altar and they went back to their home there was no more alcohol in their life they were not no longer addicted to alcohol but God delivered them and transformed their life and they passed from Death unto life our God is able to do a miracle for you but you say Pastor I I am a drug addict I I've been to rehab centers I've been here and I've been there I've tried every way in the world to get off of crack cocaine I've tried to get off of cocaine I've tried to get off of marijuana I've tried to get off of alcohol I cannot do it on my own and can I say congratulations you told the truth you cannot do it on your own but there is no miracle that God cannot do for you and he will deliver you if youve got enough courage to repent of your sins and ask God to come into your life Jesus will come into your life and he will transform you by his Spirit can somebody say amen amen you shall receive power power over sin power over drugs power over alcohol power over the world power over pornography I had a young man some time ago gave me his testimony he said brother Cornwell when I came into the church I didn't feel like I was even worthy to walk in the door I was so addicted to pornography I watched it on the internet I bought all the magazines he said I was getting worse and worse and worse and my addiction was so terrible and it left me with such a guilt complex I did not know what to do but somebody said if I'd come to church God would help me I came to church and I heard the preacher preach and he said I could be delivered I believed him Faith came into my heart I went down to the front and they they gathered around me and they started praying for me and the first thing you know I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost I began to speak that Heavenly language I forgot that I was addicted I forgot that I was hopeless I forgot that I was helpless and I I started praising God and the and the the Holy Ghost just kept coming and kept coming and and and and I I realized that God had filled me with the Holy Ghost I walked out of that church that day and not one time since then have I ever looked at pornography because God had took the addiction out of my life there is no problem that you've got but that God can heal you and God can rescue you and God can save you praise God I want to shout Hallelujah when I think of the men and women that God had given to them a brand new life hallelujah amen four commissions let me look at the different elements as we combine all these writers together it contains Faith or believing you got to believe that Jesus died on that cross and that they they buried him in a bored tomb and the third day he came out of that tomb triumphant over death hell and the grave anybody believe that if you're watching this DVD just believe that Jesus died on that cross for you and that he was buried and three days later he came out of that grave secondly it contains repentance amen the Lord did not die for you to remain the same way you are you've got to repent repentance means an about face you've got to you got to be turned around and pointed in a different direction right now you're on a highspeed oneway track to hell and if you can stop and repent what do you mean repent Lord Jesus I'm a sinner would you forgive me of every sin I've ever committed that's difficult to say especially when pride is in your life when you're stubborn and self-willed and the world has taught you every mean trick in the book but you know what the way you're going hasn't worked the way you're headed you're still in trouble trouble so why not try something that works repent and say Lord

forgive me for my sins I want to go a different direction everybody has to repent from the president on the throne to the popper on the street all have sinned and all must come to repentance the third element of that commission was water baptism Jesus said he that believeth and is baptized so you got to be baptized you got to be water baptized you can get baptized in a baptistry with clean water you can get baptized in the river in polluted water you can get baptized in the lake with all the snakes it doesn't matter but but you got to be Buried buried in clean water buried in a lake buried in a river but you got to be baptized the fourth element of that commission is the baptism of the Holy Ghost with Supernatural signs amen somebody said I don't believe in the Holy Ghost the Holy Ghost is nothing more than the spirit of our Lord Jesus Jesus Christ as it enters into your body physically he's going to come and live within you everybody said amen number five the Great Commission contains teaching it's not enough to begin with Jesus but you got to be taught to stay with Jesus amen and the sixth part of that commission is healing he let us know that we could be healed they shall lay hands on the sick and you shall recover praise God we know that the Lord is going to appropriate these things through the New Testament Church that he was about to give birth to now I want to talk just a little bit about the birth of the New Testament Church that contains all these elements of the Great Commission amen we have studied many miracles in the Bible the miracle of the creation anybody believe that was a miracle the Miracles of Deliverance anybody believe that God can deliver the miracle of the Virgin birth and what a miracle that was and the Miracle of the Resurrection that was also a great miracle but many people do not realize that our Lord Jesus Christ gave birth to the New Testament Church with an act of a miracle now look at Matthew chapter 3 and verse 11 remember what John the Baptist said verse 11 of Matthew chapter 3 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but he that cometh after me is mightier than I whose shoes I'm not worthy to Bear he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire amen that was a prophecy given to us by John the Baptist look at some of the last words of Jesus Christ before he ascended back into heaven look at acts 1 and verse4 and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father which sayith he you have heard of me for John truly baptized with water but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days from now so even Jesus spoke of the day when the church would be born and you would receive the baptism of his Spirit now turn to Acts chapter 2 and verse one we're going to look at the greatest miracle that the church has ever experienced and that was the birth of the New Testament Church how important is the church in our lives today how important is it to you you drive down the street and there's a church house on every corner and we can pass by a churches today and not even recognize that there's a church there because they're everywhere and they're so commonplace but can I tell you what ladies and gentlemen there's only one entity that's going to leave this world at the Rapture and that is the Church of the Living God

amen the Lord is coming back after his church look at Acts 2 and verse one and when the day of Pentecost was fully come now what does it mean the day of Pentecost the Pentecost was a Jewish feast day representing the the the the offering of the first fruits it was the day that God gave Moses the law on top of Mount Si when he gave him the Ten Commandments and it was also the the commemoration of of the of the Feast of the first fruits and when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one Accord in one place who is this people in Acts chapter one it says there was 120 gathered in an upper room on the west side of Jerusalem Mary the mother of Jesus was there and suddenly there came a sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared to them clothing tongues like as a fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance praise God this was the birth of the new Testament Church praise God that first church started with 120 members praise God you say well that's not very many it was not very many considering the fact that Jesus did so many miracles for so many people but only 120 believed him and returned to Jerusalem and they were filled with the Holy Ghost and they began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance thank God for the baptism of the Holy Ghost amen now you can imagine you can imagine the hysteria that happened in that Upper Room when 120 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost look at look at verse number five and there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews devout men out of every nation under Heaven it was a Jewish feast day they were gathered in Jerusalem from every nation on Earth to cele celebrate Pentecost and when this was noised abroad the multitude came together they were confounded because that every man heard them speak in his own language what's amazing was the 120 in that upper room they all only spoke one language they spoke simple Greek language and now they're speaking in every language known to man for a fact the Bible says they were ignorant and unlearned men so how could everybody hear them speak in the language wherein they were born praise God they were parthians and mes and elamites dwellers in Mesopotamia and Judea Capa and ponus Asia Fria pamilia Egypt in the parts of Libya about sirene strangers of Rome Jews and prelit creit and Arabian we do hear them speak in our own tongue the wonderful works of God here a few years ago they had a a a world crusade in Soul Korea and we had a great number of people that went to Soul uh to to participate in this great Crusade and uh our people started praying for people and there was a a Korean lady there that did not speak English language uh she did she did not speak English everybody gathered around her and they were praying for her and they were laying their hands on her and all of a sudden she started speaking the most beautiful English that they had ever heard and she was simply saying I praise the Lord Jesus Christ I give him glory I praise the Lord Jesus Christ and when she got through speaking they tried to communicate her in English and she could not speak English but she was speaking in other tongues and the tongue that she was speaking in that day was in English speaking in tongues is something that happens by the supernatural power of God can I have it amen I have literally seen thousands of people receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost a few years ago I had the opportunity to go to San Salvador and in San Salvador they speak Spanish and uh I was on the platform in the National Coliseum of San Salvador it seats 25,000 people in this gymnasium Arena we

had the platform built on one side of the Coliseum and then there was the the big basketball floor and and the and the and the and the seating stretched all the way around us and there was over 25,000 people in that in that gymnasium that night and we had left the the gym floor as as a place of the Altar and we had built ramps from the seating over into the basketball arena and uh when we got through preaching that night uh the the preacher the the missionary got up and explained to the people that that they've heard the word of God and if you would like to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost if you want to repent of your sins we ask you to come stand on the basketball floor and and and and people started streaming out of that Coliseum the over the ramp and on that floor and the basketball arena was completely packed shoulder toh shoulder front to back with people we estimated about five or 6,000 people was standing on the main floor that was there to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and it was it was overwhelming and and and and the preacher said I'd like for everybody in the room to Simply say Lord Jesus forgive me for my sins and and everybody started raising their hands and Through The Interpreter they started repenting of their sins and now he said I'd like everybody to lift Your Hands Across the sanctuary and just simply start praising the Lord Jesus Christ I've never seen anything like it 25,000 people started lifting their hands and praising God and all of a sudden I'm standing there and the wind knocked me backwards and I looked and everybody on that platform had been knocked backwards and we we landed on the Pew behind us and and the place went up in pandemonium people were praising God and and people uh on the street level outside the Coliseum started running into that Coliseum because something happened in a matter of five minutes over 3,000 people had been baptized with the Holy Ghost I saw it with my own eyes God is sending a Revival around this world praise God just recently in the nation of Ethiopia over 100 100,000 people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in one service in Ethiopia God is pouring out the Holy Ghost just like he did on the day of Pentecost can I have an amen Every Nation on Earth and so they were confounded they were confused and they did not understand what was going on look at verse number 12 they were all amazed they were in doubt saying one to another what meaneth this others mocking said these men are full of new wine now I agree they were full of new wine not that red musket tail oh no they had the wine of the spirit praise God others Mo these men are full of new wine but Peter standing up up with the 11 now why did Peter stand up in Matthew chapter 16 verses 17-9 Jesus said Peter I give you the keys to the kingdom whatever you B on Earth will be bound in heaven whatever you loose on Earth will be loose in heaven Peter had the keys to the kingdom he was the spokesman at Pentecost and he is going to give an explanation as to what what they are seeing and what they are hearing look at uh uh Acts 2 and verse 14 Peter standing up with the 11 lifted up his voice and said to them ye men of Judea and all that dwell at Jerusalem be this known to you in hearken to my words for these are not drunken as ye suppose he didn't say they were not drunk he said they're not drunk like you think they are but this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel 700 years before Christ Joel said it shall come to pass in the last days saith God I will pour out my spirit upon All Flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams and on my servants and on my handmaids I will pour out in those days of my spirit and they shall prophesy it was going to continue look at verse 19 I will show wonders in the heavens above signs in the earth beneath blood and fire and Vapor I'm going to continue this right up until the time of

the Rapture ladies and gentlemen there's not a denomination there is not a preacher and there is not a church anywhere that can prevent God from pouring out the Holy Ghost I am going to tell you standing straight up that we are about to experience in the United States of America one of the greatest outpourings of the baptism of God's spirit that the world has ever seen we are people praying all over the United States of America and we're simply saying God revive us again we need need a Revival in America and you know what God is going to hear the prayers of his people and he is going to bring an outpouring there is going to come an Awakening can I have it amen it's not going to be religion as usual anymore but people are going to start receiving the baptism of God's spirit again everybody said amen he continues the sermon and from beginning at verse 30 6 or excuse me at verse number uh 14 Simon Peter preaches guess what he preaches the death the burial and the resurrection of Jesus Christ amen I just want to share with you the conclusion of your sermon look at verse number 36 therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that same Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ when they heard this when they heard that Jesus was alive now let me ask you a question suppose you'd have been there on the day of Pentecost and you was one of them that cried crucify him crucify him and suppose you was part of the crowd directly responsible for the crucifixion of Christ and now you hear he's alive what would you think because you was part of the crowd that crucified Christ and when they heard that he was alive they said men and brethren what shall we do oh my God I killed him he's alive he's coming back after me I'm scared what am I going to do when he finds me he's going to get revenge the Lord was not interested in getting revenge but they were pricked in their heart they were sorry for what they had done can I have an amen they W they wanted to repent of what they had done to Jesus Christ when they heard this verse 37 they were pricked in their heart and said to Peter and the rest of the Apostles men and Brethren what shall we do then Peter said unto them repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins for the application of the blood of Jesus and you shall receive the guilt of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are far off even as many as the Lord Our God shall call and with many of the words that he test ify and exhort saying save yourself from this untour generation and there was added un them 3,000 Souls praise God can I ask you this question let me let me make one last statement here tonight what shall we do what shall The Sinner do what shall you do let me tell you very clear repent that's not a nasty word that's not a dirty

word I'm I'm telling you here tonight what do you need to do you need to repent and you need to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins for the payment of your sin debt for the application of the blood of Jesus in your life and guess what ladies and gentlemen you will receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost amen let's Stand Together father I thank you tonight for your presence I thank you for the great word that brings truth and Revelation to us I realize that no man can be saved except the spirit draw him Holy Spirit I pray that you would draw all men unto you we know that you're about to come back again we know that the signs of the time are every where the Antichrist is leaving his footprints in the sands of time all around us Lord we see our world and it's going to hell in a hand basket we see sin encroaching Upon Our Lives in such a way that we never dreamed of Lord God I want my family to be saved I want my children to be saved would you look down upon us and would you lead us to repent rep would you move us to repent Lord God would you grant us repentance unto life and Lord we ask you to forgive us of every sin and Lord Jesus in this Unholy hour would you fill us with your Holy Spirit Lord God we need you and we bow our hearts and we bow our heads Lord God to you in the name of Jesus Christ and everybody said amen as I come to the conclusion here tonight I want to share with some of you time is running out look around at what's going on America the last Bastion of freedom and democracy is about to take giant steps towards socialism America is about to legalize same-sex marriage we never dreamed that this would happen 30 years ago or even 25 years ago our drug war has been lost drugs are so rampant violence is filling our streets right here in Witchita every day we open our paper and there's new homicides and and what what are we going to do all of a sudden we're going to open our eyes one day and look around and the trumpet is going to sound and the church is going to be gone and you're going to be left behind can I tell you something why not get right with God while you have a chance why not make a decision to live for God now while it's not too late if you're a backslider let me appeal to you tonight I realize that I have not not screamed and yelled and shouted I realize that I have stood here in this pull pit and I've done my best just to teach the word of God hadn't been real exciting hadn't been glamorous but I preached the truth and I'm trying to tell you that the Lord is coming back time is running out and the Lord wants to save you our heads are bowed and our eyes are closed if you're a backslider matter the Lord wants you to come home the Lord wants you back father would you move us tonight to repent of our sins is there one person in this room that will raise your hand and say Pastor I am repenting even while you're speaking would you raise your hand yes yes yes all in the balcony yes yes yes all over this room I thank you Lord for

the power of the Holy Ghost is there somebody here tonight that you need to be baptized in the name of Jesus you've never been baptized and you need to be baptized in the name of Jesus would you raise your hand say Pastor I need to be baptized in the name of Jesus if you're here would you lift your hand right now right now hallelujah amen if you'll pray with me this this week would you lift your hand say Pastor I will be your personal prayer partner I'm asking you that will be my pray to pray for me this week God bless you thank you for being so patient and so kind amen God bless you you can be dismissed in the name of Jesus
