do you love him you know we're so conditioned and trained to say that when a preacher says do you love him we all say yes I want you to think about what we're saying tonight do you love the one who saved your soul do you love the one that lifted you up when no one else could lift you up do you love the one who saved you even though he knew everything about you and he still invited you and brought you in don't you love him do you love the one who put the marriage back together when everyone else had given up hope do you love him that healed your body when the doctors washed their hands of your situation I love you Jesus I love you Jesus I love you Jesus we're turning in our Bibles to the book of Philippians chapter 2 such an honor for us to be with you here again at First Apostolic church we love and appreciate this church you know there are great leaders in the body of Christ uh of which your pastor and his family and entire pastoral team are great leaders in the body of Christ but there are also churches that are leaders and this church First Apostolic Church of marville is a leader in the body of Christ everything you do as a church you are leading others the way every Department every Ministry every person man or woman or young person who leads in this congregation with Excellence you are you are causing this church to be a leader in the apostolic movement and uh I just want to say thank you to this church church because you are not only impacting this local congregation and local community but you are impacting the body of Christ and the World At Large amen we love this church and we thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your um marriage Retreat over the weekend sister Jamie and I had a wonderful wonderful time with you all and I love and appreciate my wife and so glad that she's here with me tonight she is a student and Scholar of God's word and her passion and love for the word of God is contagious and I love and appreciate her and to this tremendous pastoral team we love the Carpenters and the Ericson and the Hammond and and the Carpenters praise the Lord and so many familiar faces here and friends here but you know more than anything else I love Jesus I love Jesus wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow Hallelujah let's just say it with me one more time Jesus come on say it with me again oh how beautiful the name of of Jesus that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in heaven and things in the earth and things under the Earth and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father I just want to talk to you tonight about Jesus lift your hands let's pray Lord I Thank You for Your Presence that we feel in this room that Lord when we've gathered together in your name that you have walked in this place and are among us so palatable God we can feel your presence in this room and Jesus when you are in the room anything anything is possible anything is possible speak to us oh God tonight from this holy book we ask it in that wondrous name amen why don't you just look at your neighbor and just say one word to him or her Jesus Jesus thank you for standing so long you may be seated I just want to talk to you tonight about Jesus I just want to tell you tonight about Jesus I just want to preach tonight about Jesus acts 8 tells us the the story of Phillip the Evangelist he comes across a man in the desert who was riding through the desert on a charot and he finds this man reading the book of Isaiah and he asks the man do you understand what you're reading the man says how can I except some man should guide me and he invites the Evangelist into the Chariot to speak to him and the Bible says that the Ethiopian man was reading from the book of Isaiah where Isaiah prophesied side that there would be one who would come who would be led as a lamb to the slaughter and yet would not open his mouth and he asked Phillip of whom the prophet speaketh here of himself or of some other man and the Bible said that philli just opened his mouth and began at the same scripture and preached unto him Jesus and just the message of Jesus just the story of Jesus made such an impact on that Ethiopian man that he was baptized that very hour and became a disciple of Jesus Christ I don't ever want to get away from talking about and preaching about Jesus there are a lot of churches where there's a lot of talking going on but not much talking about Jesus there's a lot of churches where there's a lot of sermons being being preached but not a lot of sermons about Jesus a lot of singing but not a lot of songs about Jesus oh it thrilled my soul to come into First Apostolic church tonight and hear the choir singing about Jesus and the worship team singing about Jesus Jesus Jesus let me remind you he is the center of it all Jesus is the central figure of this holy book when you open your Bible to the last book The Book of Revelation it begins with these words the revelation of Jesus Christ or the revealing of Jesus Christ some think the Book of Revelation is first and foremost a book about end time prophecy but John tells us this book is about Jesus Christ this this book is a revelation or a revealing of Jesus Christ and this is not the title only of the last book but should be taken as the title of all books of the Bible for the whole book is a revelation of Jesus Christ the central figure of This Book of this holy book is a person and that person is the Lord Jesus Christ the savior of the world the express image of the father God revealed God come down to us Emmanuel Jesus Christ he is both the object and the end of all scripture in fact I believe that you have never found the true nor full interpretation of any scripture in the Bible until you have found in it somewhere and somehow a reference to the Lord Jesus Christ because this book is the revelation of Jesus Christ sometimes you see him clear and unmistakable sometimes faintly and dimly but I assure you he is there and if you search long enough you will find him standing somewhere in the background of every verse of scripture in Genesis he is the logos the word by whom the worlds were made and Exodus he's the Passover Lamb in Leviticus he's the high priest in numbers he's the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire in Deuteronomy he's the prophet like unto Moses in Joshua he's the captain of our Salvation in judges he's the righteous judge and lawgiver in Ruth he's our kinsman redeemer in Samuel he is both at the same time the root and The Offspring of David oh we've got to stop but I assure you that in every verse in every chapter in every book if you look you will find the person of the book and that is the Lord Jesus Christ the Bible is the Revelation or the unveiling of Jesus how could we not talk about Jesus preach about Jesus sing about Jesus Jesus is the message Jesus is the story Jesus Jesus is the song Jesus is the way the truth and the life it's all about Jesus oh I feel like preaching tonight he's the way the truth and the life without him I would be nothing without him I would but fail without him I would be drifting like a ship without a sail Peter said it neither is there salvation in any other for their there is no other name under Heaven given among men whereby we must be saved Jesus he's the only one who can save us Jesus he's the only one who can rescue us Jesus he's the only one who can redeem us who can heal us who can deliver us Jesus oh I love the name of Jesus many years ago a woman in China came to the missionary doctor and heard the gospel she walked many miles back to her home and somewhere along the journey back home she knelt down and prayed that she would be saved then she retraced her steps all the way back to the Mission Station and asked the missionary doctor please tell tell me his name he has saved me but I cannot remember his name tell me his name again George Bernard put it into a song oh tell me his name again and sing me that sweet refrain of him who in love came down from above to die on the cross of Shame the story my heart has stirred the sweetest I've ever heard it banishes fear it brings hope and cheer oh tell me his name again I want to talk about that name I want to talk about Jesus uh I want to sing about Jesus uh I want to preach about Jesus I want to worship Jesus I Want To Praise Jesus I want to tell others about Jesus he's my Lord and my God he's my savior and my Redeemer oh people want to talk about a lot of things but I just want to talk about Jesus Paul said Brethren when I came to you I came not with Excellency of speech or of wisdom for I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified Paul said I could have talked to you about a lot of things but I just want to talk to you about Jesus I didn't come with fancy words and human wisdom eloquent speech or entertaining stories I just want to preach about Jesus it's amazing how many so-called preachers in this Christian society today never preach about Jesus but I'm glad I'm in a place we preach Jesus Christ and him crucified Paul told Timothy preach the word well Jesus is the word so preach Jesus Jesus I want to talk about him I want to brag on him I want to talk about how great he is there's nobody nobody nobody like Jesus he's more than a man he's more than a teacher he's more than a religious leader he's more than a prophet he is God Almighty he's the Lord Of Glory he is God manifest In the Flesh he's the Redeemer he's the deliverer he's the savior of all mankind he alone is God and beside him there is no other there's no one like him there's no one equal to him there's none above him there's none beside him he's the one and only Jesus I want to talk about him come on shout his name Jesus Jesus now if now if some don't understand the godhead they may ask the question what about the father don't leave him out what about the Holy Ghost don't leave him out if you talk so much about Jesus aren't you leaving out the father aren't you leaving out the Holy Ghost if you give all your praise to Jesus aren't you neglecting the father aren't you neglecting the Holy Ghost oh no oh no I'm not leaving out the father when I talk about Jesus I'm not neglecting the Holy Ghost when I brag about how powerful Jesus is H because the full the fullness of the godhead dwelleth in him it's all in him Jesus is the embodiment of all that God is Jesus is The Father revealed in flesh Jesus his spirit is the holy spirit it's all in him when I call on the name of Jesus I'm calling on the name of the father When I Call On The Name of Jesus I'm calling on the name of the son I'm I'm calling on the god of the Old Testament the Jehovah of the Old Testament when I cried Jesus when I got baptized in Jesus name I did get baptized in the name of the father and the name of the son and the name of the Holy Ghost there's only one name there's only one person of this book and his name is Jesus I've got a message for you tonight what's the message Jesus is the message Jesus the lamb slain from the foundation of the world Jesus the Savior who died on the cross that's the message Jesus want you to lift your hands with me and just say Jesus Come on talk to him I love you Jesus I lift you up Jesus I exalt your name Jesus I bless your name Jesus Jesus he he is the message Jesus he is the story Jesus he is the song Jesus he's the king he's the king of Israel he's the king of righteousness he's the king of the ages he's the king of Heaven he's the king of glory he's the king of kings and the Lord of lords there's nobody like Jesus I want to talk about him I want to lift him up I want to preach Jesus he supplies strength for the weak he's available for the tempted and tried he sympathizes and he saves he guards and he guides I want to talk about Jesus he heals the sick he cleanses the lepers he forgives the Sinners he discharges debtors he delivers the captive he defends the feeble He blesses the young he he regards the diligence let me preach to you about Jesus he's the king of knowledge he's the doorway of Deliverance he's the pathway of Peace he's the roadway of righteousness he's the Highway of Holiness he's the gateway to Glory Jesus Jesus Jesus his life is matchless his goodness is Limitless his Mercy is Everlasting in his love never changes his word is enough his grace is sufficient his yoke is easy and is burden light I don't want to talk about politics right now I want to talk about Jesus I don't want to talk about sports right now I want to talk about Jesus I don't want to talk about this world right now I'm not interested right now I don't want to talk about about Fame and Fortune and money and power I want to talk about Jesus he said if I be lifted up if I be lifted I wonder if you'd help me just lift him up if I be lifted up I'll draw on men if you talk about me if you lift me up Jesus said I'll draw all men I want to talk about Jesus there's nobody like Jesus I wish I could do a better job describing him to you but he's Indescribable he's incomprehensible he's irresistible you can't live without him oh and you can't out live him pilate couldn't find any fault in him Herod couldn't kill him death couldn't handle him and the grave couldn't hold him let me talk talk about Jesus he's the first and the last he's the beginning and the end he's the Alpha and the Omega that's Greek for a to c in English we would say he is everything from A to Z let me tell you tonight he's the author and the finisher of my faith he's the Ancient of Days he is Adonai he's the beginning and the end he's the bright and Morning Star he's the bread of life and the bishop of my soul he's my counselor he's my comforter he's the Creator he's the Chief Cornerstone he's the captain of my salvation and he is Christ the Lord he's the deliverer he's the Dayspring from on high he is the door he is the Everlasting father and he is Emmanuel all at the same time he is friend he is Fortress he is father he's great physician he's God Almighty he's the Healer he's the Holy One of Israel he's the Horn of my salvation he's the I am he's Jehovah and he's Jesus he's King of Kings he's Lord of lords he's the Lamb of God he's the light of men he's the lily of the valley he's the lion of the tribe of Judah he is Master he is Messiah he is mighty God he is most high God he is name above every other name he's the only begotten of the father he's the Prince of Peace he's the Redeemer he's the Rock of Ages he's the rose of Sharon he's the resurrection and the life he's savior he's Shepherd he's Son of God and son of man he's teacher he's truth he's uniring unwavering undeniable he's the vine and we are the branches he's the way he's the word made flesh he's wonderful now you think I got a tough one I used to think that at Christmas time when I'd see somebody abbreviate Christmas as exmas I didn't like it because I thought they were trying to take Christ out of Christmas until I did a little research and found out it was done not to take Christ out of Christmas it was done a long time ago when someone had such reverence for the name of Christ that they dared not even write the name Christ so instead of Christus they just put xus oh he is Christ he is Christmas he is exus he is Yahweh he is Zion salvation he's the Alpha and the Omega oh I love him let me preach to you Jesus he's my everything when I'm in the Valley he's the lily of the valley when I'm in danger he's my strong tower when I'm in trouble he's a peace that passes all understanding don't you love him tonight when I'm sorrowful he's joy unspeakable when I'm grieving he's the great comforter when I'm hungry he's the bread of life when I'm thirsty he's living water when I'm lonely he's a friend that sticketh closer than a brother when I've lost my way he's a lamp into my feet and a light into my path when I'm discouraged he's the lifter of my head when I'm weary he's the strength that's made perfect in my weakness there's nobody like Jesus come on let's lift let's lift him up just a little let's exalt him and lift him up you go ahead and Shout his name Jesus come on cry out Jesus in faith Jesus Jesus nobody like him nobody like him nobody greater than him nothing greater than him he said and I if I be lifted up from the earth I will draw all men unto me and so they lifted him up they lifted up his broken torn body up from the earth and they crucified him up from the earth Jesus proclaimed if I be lifted up from the the Earth then something so profound and something so powerful will happen if I be lifted up that I will attract the attention or the affection or the Allegiance or the criticism of all men but if I be lifted up I will draw all men to my lifting up some may worship and some may criticize but no man will leave untouched what did his being lifted up from the earth do his death brought life his blood brought cleansing his sacrifice brought atonement his suffering brought relief his Agony brought peace his wounds brought healing his obedience brought Deliverance his loss brought Discovery his shame brought Glory his despair brought hope his grief brought Joy his rejection brought reconciliation what his lifting up did was so incredible that it draws all men to him it draws something out of all men it attracts all mankind it may bring adoration or it may bring scoffing but it draws something out of all men it may bring admiration or it may bring anger but it draws on men it causes some to Fall Down and Worship others to Mock and Scorn but it is so profound that it draws all men it draws a reaction it draws a response it draws a reply from all men you cannot walk away from him unaffected you cannot leave Calvary undisturbed you cannot Survey the Wondrous Cross without it drawing something from your soul one Thief said Lord remember me in Paradise the other mocked him and taunted him and cursed him which side of the Cross are you on you cannot be silent you cannot be unaffected you cannot be unaltered you cannot be unmoved it draws all men some wept at the foot of the cross others laughed but it drew all men you could not turn away some could not turn away their eyes from that unspeakable scene and others turned away in utter horror but it draws all men pilate tried to wash his hands but he could not Jesus was lifted up and his lifting up draws all men to him I wonder if we could just worship him together for a moment I wonder if we could just praise him for a moment together I know what the cross draws out of me it's worship not disdain it's awe not criticism it's faith not skepticism it draws me into his presence it draws me close in worship and adoration I'll worship the lamb that was slain from the foundations of the world I'll join in with the choir of angels who cease not day and night around the throne crying holy holy holy is the Lord of host the whole earth is full of his glory Jesus come on you don't have to stand even where you're seated just let your voice out in worship to Jesus right now Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus come on call his name I worship you Jesus come on let's worship that's it let's worship Him Jesus Jesus I lift you up Jesus hallu I lift you up Jesus he did not lift himself up the Roman soldiers lifted him up the soldiers lifted up the cross and lowered that cross into the ground Jesus never lifted himself up we talked about it at marriage Retreat he humbled himself he made himself of no reputation he took upon himself the form of a servant he said learn from me I am meek and lowly in heart he washed the disciples feet he turned the other cheek when he was accused he answered not a word he never lifted himself up he never exalted himself he never praised himself he never promoted himself it was always someone else who lifted him up I don't know about you but I want to be that one who lifts him up he will not exalt himself he will not demand praise himself self it was always others the Angels who cried hosana a savior is born it was John the Baptist who cried Behold the Lamb of God it was Peter that said Thou Art the Christ the son of the Living God it was the Roman soldier who said hail King of the Jews it was God that highly exalted him and gave him a name above every other name it was the 24 Elders that cast their crowns down and said said thou oh Lord Art Worthy he never lifted himself up it was others who lifted him up uh they lifted him up from the Earth but he never exalted himself but let me tell you tonight you can exalt him he didn't worship himself but you can worship him it's all right to praise him he is God it's all right to praise him he is worthy it's all right to deify him because he is God it's all right it's all right to clap your hands and lift your voice it's all right to out and dance and be crazy with your worship because he is God he's deserving go ahead he is God he's more than a prophet he's more than a teacher he's more than a man he is God oh yes there's a lot of people who worship a lot of things there's a lot of people who make idols and gods out of many things but money is not God pleasure is not God entertainment is not God Fame and power is not God it's not right to worship those things uh there's only one who is worthy of worship there is only one who is worthy of praise and that is the Lord Jesus Christ because he is God so go ahead and worship him go ahead and deify him go ahead and exalt him it's okay to worship Him He Is God let me tell you there is nothing too extravagant in your worship of him there is nothing that's too over the top oh yes oh yes hallelujah hallelujah there is nothing to over the top come on there is nothing too extravagant for him because he is God he is not of this Earth he was lifted up from this Earth he is higher he is higher than everything that is of this Earth he said I am not of this world you you you can be as crazy with with your worship as you want you can be as crazy with your praise as you want because he is God there is none like him I want to lift you up Jesus I want to lift you up Jesus I want to lift you higher Jesus I want to lift you higher Jesus I want to lift you higher than everything that is of this Earth the Bible said the first man speaking of Adam is of the earth earthy but the second man the Lord Jesus Christ he is from Heaven oh he is higher you can lift him up from the earth his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts he is greater than the ways of man he is greater than anyone or anything that men may look to he is greater and higher than anyone or anything that man man May exalt or man may look to or man may make an idol of Greater everybody say greater greater greater is who's the he come on who's the he greater so let's just put the name in can we greater is that is in me then now the second he is not talking about Jesus who's it talking about talking about the devil greater is Jesus that's in me than the devil that's in this world Jesus is greater than he that is in the world God is greater than the enemy he is greater than your adversary he is greater than the devil he is greater than any fiery Dart of the wicked he is greater than any snare or trap of the devil he is greater than any attack of hell he is greater than anything or anyone of this world we've got to lift him up from the earth see him for who he is see him for where he stands above principality above power above problems lift him up above your problems and he will do something so mighty in your life that it will draw all men to him that's what he said he said if I be lifted up I will draw on men to me if you will lift him up higher than your problem than your struggle than your trial then your crisis then you lifting him up from what is Earthly from what is of this realm if you will lift him if you will see him high and lifted up then he is going to do something so mighty in your life that it will draw on men to him you've got to get your eyes off your problems and get your eyes on Jesus you've got to get your eyes off the crisis and get your eyes on Jesus he is exalted lift him up higher than your problem and he will take care of your problem lift him higher than your worries and he will take care of your worries lift him higher than your sorrows and he will take care of your Sorrows lift him higher than your fears and he will take care of your fear he is greater Gater somebody shout greater he is greater Jesus is greater he is greater than your problem he is greater than your Mountain he is greater than your Valley he is greater than your fear he is greater than your depression he is greater than your confusion he is greater than your bitterness he is greater than your wounds he is greater than your past he is greater than the storm you are in he is greater than your shame and your failures he is greater than your weakness he is greater than your sin lift him with me right now I exalt you Jesus he is greater he is greater than your heart problem I don't know who I'm talking to but he's greater than your heart problem he is greater than your diabetes he is greater than your high blood pressure he is greater than leukemia he is greater than your asthma he is greater than Hepatitis he is greater than cancer he's the great physician he is greater than anything or anyone that you will face in this world yeah he is greater he is greater he is greater than your skin problem he is greater than lupus he is greater than your family crisis he is greater he is greater he is is greater he is greater than that financial crisis that you're in he is greater than that he is greater than the shackles and chains of addiction in this place tonight he is greater he's greater than those chains of alcohol he is greater than your addiction to fenol he is greater he is greater he is greater his name is above every other name higher higher his name is higher hire every knee shallow every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord God ha highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every other name that's it that's it exalt him if you lift him up if you lift him up he's greater he's greater he's greater he's greater than your sickness in the name of Jesus Jesus Jesus we see you Lord high and lifted up we see you lord your train is filled the temple we see you Lord holy holy holy holy is the Lord God Almighty Jesus Jesus you ought to lay your hand on somebody and say I speak the name of Jesus over you I speak the name of Jesus over your situation I speak the name of Jesus over your family crisis I speak the name of Jesus over your son that needs the Lord I speak the the name of Jesus over your daughter that is backslid I speak the name of Jesus over that unsaved spouse I speak the name of Jesus over that family crisis I speak the name of Jesus over that attack of Hell against your life I speak the name of Jesus against the enemy that has come against you in your stand for what is righteous and holy Jesus Jesus Jesus the name of Jesus is higher higher than cancer higher than diabetes higher than fear higher than anxiety higher than lust higher than bitterness Jesus Jesus over every heart and every mind I know there is peace within your presence I speak Jes I just want to speak the name of Jesus so every dark addiction starts to braak declaring there is hope and there is freedom I speak Jesus cuz your name is power your name is healing your name is break every stronghold shine through the Shadows burn my I just want to se the name of Jesus over fear and all anxiety every by depression I speak Jesus your name is power your name is power your name is your name is your name is is break every strong shine through the shadow sh your name is power ising is your name is is break every St break every St through the Shad shout Jesus the mountains Jesus in the streets Jesus in the darkness over every enemy come on shout it Jesus Jesus my I speak that come on speak the name the name of Jesus Mountain Jesus in the Jesus in the dark Jesus the the Holy Name Jesus the mountain Jesus the in the street Jesus in the Jesus Jus cuz your name is power is power oh it's your is your name is can break every strong through the Shad the sh your name is power your name is your name ising is oh your break every strong break every sh through the shadow sh bur like a hallelu hallelujah hallelujah Jesus Jesus come on just say his name Jesus Hallelujah Jesus Jesus Hallelujah wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name everybody say a name which is above of every name a name Jesus which is above every name one translation says a name that is above everything that is named if man can attribute a name to it the name of Jesus is higher than that in the beginning God gave adam the authority to name man since that time has ascribed names to people or names to things Adam named all of the animals in the garden man has given names to things somewhere I don't know where but somewhere someone some doctor or some scientist studied some malignant growth that distorted healthy cells and destroyed the body and some man or woman somewhere said we are going to call that cancer some where somebody I don't know who discovered the pancreas wasn't producing insulin and they said we're going to call that we're going to name that diabetes somewhere someone observe some emotional malady that robbed people of their peace and joy and they ascribed a name to it said we're going to call it depression we could go on and on and on but when God robed himself in flesh and came to this world through the womb of a virgin God said I will give a name to my body to my Revelation to this world I'm going to give a name and the name is Jesus Thou shalt call his name Jesus and it is a name that will be above every name a name that is higher than anything that could be named not just not just incrementally higher not just some people have this idea that in some epic battle between God and Satan that God is just going to Edge out you know just bear went out that's not what the scripture said the Bible said that God has raised him from the dead that the Lord Jesus sits in Heavenly places listen far above principality far above power far above might and dominion and every name that is named what I want you to know is that every need shall bow and every tongue confess that the name of Jesus is higher than the name cancer the name Jesus is higher than the name diabetes the name Jesus is greater is high and everything else must bow everything in heaven in Earth or under the Earth that means angels that means anything in this physical world in the earth and under the Earth means any demonic Spirit of Hell things in heaven things in Earth and things under the Earth everything will bow and submit to the authority of the name of Jesus so in this final prayer tonight I want you to say I want you to speak to that disease to that family crisis to that problem to that storm to that attack of Hell to that demonic spirit that is wreaking havoc on your family and I want you to remind it you must submit to the name of Jesus come on somebody you must disease you must submit to the name of Jesus sickness you must you are not greater than Jesus you must bow to the authority of Jesus every demonic Spirit must bow to the authority of Jesus name every crisis every storm every sickness every disease every heart problem every high blood pressure problem every every asthma problem every disease every sickness every attack of hell is subject subject subject to the name that is above every other name Jesus Jesus
