thank you for the presence of God that we feel in this house tonight how many people can feel the Spirit of God in this house tonight heman we are appreciative for what we feel tonight we don't take this for granted we don't lightly extend what we feel tonight on this Saturday night God is with us and God is here and he has a word for us tonight did it last night born to give honor once again to your the leadership of this house your pastor and his wife and your youth pastor and his wife why don't we give God a praise with the leadership of this house brother sister Sloane Justin and his wife and we honor them thank God for all the work they are doing here a man and beyond glad to have my wife and as your pastor said our two bosses who they think they're our boss says Amen our wonderful son and daughter God has been so good to us and loved him dearly and glad they are here with us as well the book of Judges chapter 3 I know you're standing the book of Judges chapter 3 book of Judges chapter 3 I'll read one verse to you now let you be seated the book of Judges chapter 3 we're gonna read verse 31 and I will let you be seated man give honor every young person that's hit at night that has laid us and worship musicians god bless you I think your sectional leader I think if I'm not mistaken got a bless you we honor you as well tonight sir god bless you judges chapter 3 verse 31 when you have it say he made if you don't say hold on I think it's on the screen so everybody should have a do you mean the Bible says and after him was Shamgar of the son of anethe which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox gold and he also delivered Israel and after him was somebody by the name of Shamgar everybody shouts Shamgar tonight on this Saturday night I believe God has a word for us I simply want to preach and use this as my subject the testimony of Shamgar the testimony of Shamgar can we say you man a man you can be seated in the presence of the Lord somebody say Shamgar hey man the testimony of Shamgar most of you in here are probably not familiar with Shamgar has anybody ever heard of Sam Garr before that many Sam Garr was the third judge of Israel his name and his story is not as recognizable as other judges stories judges like Samson we all know Samson right Samuel and Gideon and even Deborah but Shamgar has a powerful testimony and there is much to be learned from this unknown judge Shamgar he lived in a time where people were not living according to the commandments of God but in fact they were doing their own thing Shamgar lived in a time or the lines of morality and ethics were being blurred what was once right was now wrong and was what was once wrong was now right this is the dispensation that Shamgar lived in judges chapter 21 and verse 25 gives us more insight the Bible says in those days there was no king in Israel every man did that which was right in his own eyes that verse was written by Samuel during the time of the judges when Shamgar was alive but if we can be honest this verse sounds akin to the generation that you and I live in right now where every man is doing was right in his own eyes we live in a society see where mass shootings are becoming the norm it was a shooting in Odessa Texas but last week if I'm not mistaken few weeks before that there was another mass shooting in El Paso Texas in a Walmart people are shooting up churches schools malls movie theaters hotels people have no regard for human life we live in a society where human and sex trafficking is all around us the sale and abuse of drugs is still everywhere alcoholism is still destroying families is still destroying lives and marriages we live in a society where it's now lawful for me and to marry men women to marry women is permissible for me and women to change their gender to what they think is right in their own eyes we live in a society where people are doing whatever they want to do living however they want to live dressing how they want to dress talk how they want to talk walking how they want to walk people don't do what's right according to the Word of God in the man of God anymore they just do what's right in their own eyes but the rebuttal to that way of living and thinking can be found in proverbs chapter 14 verse 12 when the Bible says there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death everybody says Shamgar Shamgar he lived in some rough times judges chapter 5 verse 6 says in the days of Shamgar the son of anethe in the days of jail the highways were unoccupied and the travelers walked through byways people they were not traveling the main roads because they were unsafe so travelers they would go out of their way to go through the back roads to avoid danger but in spite of all the trouble and all the crime during that time God raised up an unknown man by the name of Shamgar I need you to stick with me tonight the Bible does not give us a lot of information about Shamgar that's probably why we don't talk we don't preach a lot about Shamgar the Bible gives us limited information there is 31,000 verses in the Bible but Shamgar is only mentioned in two verses the Bible does not give us a much detail about Shamgar but it but it does say in our text Judges chapter 3 verse 31 that he was the son of Anna's that information in itself may not seem like a light but there is much to learn from his ancestry don't miss it tonight because traditionally when you read about somebody's genealogy in scripture it's usually in masculine form Abraham begat Isaac Isaac begat Jacob Jesse beget David and David but got Solomon masculine but here in our text it says that Shamgar is the son of anise and it's ladies and gentleman is not masculine is feminine not only is it feminine but the term Ana if you study it out is basically a description of the goddess of war and sex of the Canaanites the Phoenicians and the Egyptians so Shamgar he came from a pagan family who worship false gods but that's what I love about the God we serve is that your pedigree does not determine your promise hope y'all hear me tonight it does not matter who your mother is who your father is it does not matter what side of the tracks you came from hear me tonight God still has a plan for your life I hope somebody received what I'm preaching to you tonight that it does not matter what your last name is it does not matter if your father was not a preacher it does not matter if you've only been saved for two or three years God still has a plan for your life hear me tonight your family tree will not cancel the anointing that's on your life your family tree your ancestor your genealogy will not stop the calling and the ministry that God has prepared for your life all right so Shamgar he is the son of anis all right but if that's not enough to convince you if you study the name Shamgar his name is a nun Israelite name his bloodline hear me now is not that of an Israelite he's not one of God's chosen people something for this week right he's not a part of God's chosen people my question is what in the world is he doing here how did he become a judge over his room sham garden grow up in the church he wasn't a Bible Quiz or he didn't go to Sunday School he doesn't know all the church songs he doesn't know church lingo you know how you've been around Church long enough somebody greets you say praise the Lord you see somebody at Walmart praise the Lord start quickening I'm blessed and highly favored that's church lingo you know how we talk you see Sam car he'll probably just say what's up Shamgar is an outsider yo he grew up in the world he grew up around false gods he grew up seeing his family worship bail and Molech and Osiris he grew up in a heathen environment Shamgar was not second-generation Apple silac he was not third for fifth generation he was the first person in his family to be used by God hear me now Sam gar did not have a last name to boast of he did not have a crit chose to brag on he was not the son of a king he was not the son of a prophet he was the son of anis who in the world is any but that's what our God does he uses people who we think shouldn't be used he calls people who we think should not be called I've come to preach to somebody in this Saturday night service do not be held hostage by the opinion of others do not be held hostage even by the opinion of your family your peers are even carnal church folk because people will tell you that you are too uneducated to be used by God they will tell you you're too unqualified they'll tell you you don't have the right personality you're too awkward you're too goofy they'll say all kind of stuff them to make you feel inferior and to make you feel that God cannot use you but if God can call Shamgar an unknown man with no church context no church background no famous last name up no parents who worship God hear me now if God can call him and make him one of the greatest judges and that Israel has ever seen then my question is what can God do with you tonight and I understand maybe everybody can feel what I'm preaching because maybe some of you um maybe you've been saved your whole life and you always been near the cross maybe some of you got saved and you was five years old um you've been preaching since you were 10 years old you know every ham you know the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and if that's you we praise God for you but there are some individuals in this house tonight who can testify them and say I wasn't raised around this I didn't grow up in this when I came to God who am i preaching to tonight it was a struggle it was a fight there are some honest folk who can say I know what it feels like to be raised up in an environment that not practice and preach the Apostolic talks right now who am I talking to in here I'm I know what it feels like to be raised in the heathen a carnal environment I know what it feels like to be a reject to be an outcast to be overlooked but I also know what it feels like for God to look down and say I don't care about your context them I don't care where you came from I don't care where your poor your parents are I don't care the color of your skin and I don't care your social background you know what it feels like for God to look down and say the world may not want you your family may discard you but Jesus said I love you I choose you let them talk about you let people say you'll never be nothing but God says you're chosen them he said I knew you before you were born honey and my hand has been on your life there's been an anointing there's been a ministry there's been a calling on your life before you were born that's what I love about Jesus that he doesn't just look for the righteous for people with rich lineage sons of a king sons of a prophet sons of a bishop songs of a daughters of an evangelist he don't just look for people with picture-perfect families he don't just look for people that have it all together matter of fact the Bible said that he'll leave the ninety-nine righteous here come look for that in one lost sheep but if I can be honest that night God he looks for the broken he looks for the poor in spirit he looks for the downtrodden he looks for people who nobody knows he looks for people who nobody cares about he looks for people who have been abandoned and rejected and neglected he looks for them because he knows that after he uses him they won't try to steal his glory but they will give him all the glory in a all the honor that's due unto his name um what a powerful testimony I know we don't free I know this is foreign and new to most of you but it's in the Word of God this man has a testimony here that we need to talk about and celebrate that nobody knew who he was he was an unknown man but God looked down and said there is a calling on your life he took him from being a nobody and made him into somebody the testimony of Sam gar ladies and gentlemen should encourage all of us it should inspire everybody that even if my context is not that of prestige and perfection God can still use me as I said earlier we're only given two verses thirty one thousand verses from the old the New Testament thirty nine old twenty-seven new we're only given two verses about this judge Shamgar we don't have a lot to go on to figure out who he was but if you allow me that's all I want to talk about a shame I'm gonna name we know that he was the son of Anna's we got that he came from a pagan family got it but the text also says in judges 331 that he kills six hundred Philistines Israel's enemy what did he use an ox gold that is I'm a city boy I mean I grew up right outside of Atlanta I can barely use a shovel you know you talk about an ox gold I had it look there's somebody to study this is a what in the world they should have a picture of an ox gold have y'all seen that before they're like something from I don't know another century or something this may not seem like much information you're saying okay he killed 600 Philistines with the Knox ago what does that mean it doesn't seem like much to go on but quite the contrary this gives us a little more information about who Shamgar really was Sam Garr used an ox gold what is an ox gold is on the screen is a tool about six to eight feet tall with a chisel sharp point on the end here it is if you study it out and ox gold is used by farmers huh all right so we can understand a little more about who Shyam Gauri is this gives us more information Shamgar was a farmer not a banker not a doctor not a lawyer not a preacher not a politician y'all better hear me tonight he was a farmer God looked down and said Israel my chosen people are in trouble I need a deliverer to save them and the man of God I choose a has no battle experience but God you know God he does stuff that just don't make sense sometime I have been trying to look for somebody that looked like Goliath but he found somebody with no battle experience God did not look for some war hero who would try to take the credit he didn't look for some militant captain who would think he knew more than God but God said I think I will use a farmer I'll use a farmer who nobody knows a farmer who doesn't have a thousand followers on social media a farmer who don't even have a college degree a farmer who has a crazy past a farmer who does not feel entitled and feel that the world owes him something Shamgar did not think that anybody noticed him I was watching him he just went about doing his job he harvested his crops he took care of his animals but he didn't know this y'all that God had his eye on him for the longest time and he was now ready to use hear me tonight jump Shamgar was not a fighter he was not a preacher he was a farmer he did not have a military-grade weapons like the Philistines but I love this about Shamgar he used what he had we just it tonight the Bible says it's not by mightor it's not by power but it's by my spirit saith the Lord I love Shamgar y'all because the Spirit of the Lord will come upon him and he said I may not have a sword I'm I may not have a shield I may not have armor he said but I do have an ox code he said I've never been in a war I've never been in battle he said but God has gifted me to use and ox golden he said I know how to plow I know how to stick my oxen when they don't move him in them he said I know how to use and ox goad them he said I can be productive with what God has given me what I'm trying to say tonight ISM is that Shamgar did not try to be somebody he wasn't he stayed true to who God called him to be let me just pause her here for a minute let me encourage somebody who think that God is not watching you up you think that you don't get the applause you don't get the attention that you feel you deserve you feel that maybe some time pastor overlooked you or maybe you've pastor overlooked you hear me tonight even if man or woman forget about you or overlooked you God is watching you hear me now don't do stuff for I service don't do stuff just like it's a name call from the poor don't do stuff just to get a plat or get a pat on the back but you do stuff because your heavenly Father he's watching every time you get out of the bed and pray every time you push the plate away in fans he's watching you every time to come to church in the worshiper on the Saturday night when nobody else is worshiping God is keeping good book so you keep on serving do keep on praying and interceding you keep on a witness and in teaching Bible studies up you keep on doing what you need to do in private and at our reward you openly one day not just say I'm gar y'all but you remember David we'd like to talk about David being a king but at one point David was an unknown shepherd boy and David came Goliath was out there just made mention to Goliath he was out there and he was trying to fight the Israelites and everybody was scared all David big brothers up they were shaking in their boots even the King Saul up he was scared and hiding but when David went to go fight Goliath Saul even tried to give him his armor David said I'm sorry it's too big for me I can't try to imitate your ministry I can't try to image y'all in here me I can't try to imitate your anointing god I can't use your gift I can't use your weapons up I have not tested this before but David said I do ever slingshot up he said when I was on the backside of a mountain and nobody knew my name nobody was asking for my picture nobody was asking her for me to sign autographs nobody was following me on Instagram David said I was all by myself minding my business he said and I perfected how to use a slingshot he said I don't need your armor he told Goliath you come to me with the sword and shoot I don't need that he said I'll use what God has given me he put that slingshot and he knocked that giant down hear me tonight whatever God has given you you use what God has given y'all better hear me tonight stop looking at brother so-and-so ah stop looking at sister so and so uh how wish I can sing like them how wish I can play like them I was gonna preach like them I wish I had that gift and no no no ma'am no sir you ought to look in the mirror and say God what have you put inside of me huh what have you given me what have you called me to do what have you unknown at me to do I can't be like my daddy I can't be like my mama I can't be like so-and-so uh I gotta say whoever you call me to be what have you Oh me to do use whatever you have tell somebody next to you use what you have come on tell somebody use what you have use what you have Sampson used a jawbone of a donkey he hurt another judge used a dagger Gideon another judge he used pitchers and lanterns Dorcas in the book of Acts used a needle Rahab used a string Moses up he used a rod Mary just used argument God said I'm not asking you to be somebody you're not he said I know that gives you however I know the skills you have he said because I gave them to you God said I'm not asking for you to have everything together he said I just want you to start using what I've already given you whether it's an ox gold whether it's a slingshot God said it's time for us young people to get off the sidelines and get in the middle of in time apostolic revival I don't have to wait till I graduate from college I don't have to wait till I'm married I don't have to wait till I have two and a half kids and a white picket fence and a dog I can be used by God right now there's something already inside of me there's a gift that God is already giving me that can be beneficial to the kingdom right now hear me hear me say I'm garnish teaching us you don't need money to be used by God I'm not saying anything is wrong begin a college degree I have one of my wife as one god bless you get it but you don't need that to be used by God to hear me now you don't need parents who are on their ministry to be used by God you don't need a squeaky-clean pastor be used by God all you need is a burden all you need is a passion all you need is a desire and seola and submission and obedience and a prayer life and God said I will use you where you are where you are as of this service tonight there will be no more excuses oh my god can't use you tonight God is taking he's stripping you from all your excuses just like the parable of the talents if you only have two talents use of one talent use it if you have five talents god bless there's something that our five talent people they can do everything use what you have if you can sing sing if you can work the audio/visual working if you can clean clean if you can teach teacher if you can organize organ here mean how we think the only thing we can do for God is behind this one pulpit this one sacred dance we think the only thing we can do for God is public up here on this stage but there is so many other things that needs to be done in the kingdom stop looking at a stage stop it God calls you to that god bless you but there's so much more that can be done for the kingdom I say that we need media people we need audio people we need and we're in the 21st century all we need people that's doing social media keep it up with the social media stuff um we need websites do you know they say now that a business or churches website is the front door it's the front door now people NASA is a different world now you tell somebody hey there's a nice restaurant so-and-so do you think they're gonna just get in their car and drive all the way to that restaurant no ma'am no sir you tell somebody about a nice restaurant the first thing they gonna do is take their phone out what what you say the name of that restaurant is where is it at what time their clothes looking at looking at all kinds what's the menu all kind of stuff that's the front door we need people Manning that 20 30 years ago let's not even thought about we need people going around doing the the recap videos and all kind of stuff there's a ministry for this stuff we need apostolic fashion designers the ladies ought to say your man right there because you go to the story stuff you buy our stuff you try to buy it's a struggle isn't it trying to still be fashionable and apples it's tough to be able starting fashionable because the world their care about none of that stuff's by trying to be modest and holy if you look good they they put it out there but what look good to them does not look good to us so we need Apple styling designers apostolic entrepreneur we need that there's some ministry something out looking at me see that's our problem we think that preaching is the only thing that that God can blessing that God can anoint come on there's so much everybody's not called to preach and that's okay it doesn't make you less interfere doesn't make you less spiritual because you may not hold the mic and preach a sermon or God can still use you God still has an anointing on your life say I'm gar said I just want to be used by God he says I'm a farmer I don't have a lot I didn't grow up around this I don't have Israelite blood running through me he said but there's a hunger inside of me to be on God's side and to kill God's enemy but now to all these years here we are in 2019 talking about an unknown man by the name of Shamgar who was just as mighty as Samson Gideon he hood even sent all the rest of the prophets he was just as mighty we don't talk about him enough but he has a powerful testimony Shamgar shows us use what you have I mean I seem like much but when you connect it with God it becomes much nothing becomes something when God gets involved all right I'm getting ready to close I've been preaching 30 minutes I'm getting ready to close in our text judges 331 that's all we have to go off of I'm sorry I only had one verse that's all we have to go off of but it's enough judges 331 it lets us know we got it sham guard the son of and if I don't know what a daddy is that's another story remember you the genealogy is masculine all through scripture but here's some strange reason is his mother Anna's right he knew how to handle an ox goad which suggests that he was a farmer but the text also informed us of how many Philistines he killed says that he killed six hundred Philistines with an ox Gold how in the world you can't read the Bible to face we can't read through that and shout but hold on I had to do some more research and study with that because that messed my mind up how in the world did this farmer not a warrior how did he strike down 600 skill Phyllis I mean these guys are I mean beasts soldiers but Bible says this unknown farmer with an ox go do all of all weapons he kills six hundred Philistines this is illogical it's unbelievable to me I don't care honestly we talk about an ox ago I don't care if he had the sharpest sword even if he had a machine gun out of 600 men somebody should have took him out eventually somebody so I had to study this out a little more and I had to get some commentary from different theologians and scholars and it made sense to me that you have to remember if you go back to judges chapter 5 verse 6 that's the other only verse that mentions Shamgar in the Bible remember it said that the highways were dangerous remember that it said that at that time Sam girls time the people were afraid to travel the main road so commentators in theologians and scholars they put it a piste everything together from history and they say that in no uncertain terms for the Philistines to intimidate and stop the travelers from going from entering and exiting on the main road it said that they had to have different squads they had to have different groups blocking different entrances and exits going and coming it's saying that they proudly divided the 600 men into different platoons to guard certain areas maybe 50 here 50 there 50 over there so in no uncertain terms Shamgar probably did not have to attack so we think Oh in some Hollywood movie six hundred men came to him at one time he ox go slicing folk supper went crazy you know it sounds good to us that's that some some Hollywood you know film or something like that it that's what we think but this makes sense that Shamgar was right and I had to fight all 600 at one time but he probably secretly picked them off one unit at a time came to this one 20 here 30 here boom boom until all equal 600 Philistines here's the point I'm making because somebody's saying brother while I'm overwhelmed I hear what you're saying I'm inspired I'm encouraged I'm almost convicted that God can use a unknown man like Shamgar to do all of this but I'm overwhelmed because you're me just automatically right now get up and kills 600 Philistines metaphorically I'm a little overwhelmed I can I do that all at one time Shamgar is teaching us he did it unit by unit squad by squad platoon by platoon that's what God is calling us to do tonight he's not expecting you to save the whole world and turn your whole world upside down in one night but he is expecting you for you to get up and start moving now one step at a time one project at a time one service and one challenge at a time because we can sit there and say well I'm not gonna do nothing until I have everything together I'm not gonna do anything until I have all my eyes dyed all my T's cross and you're fooling yourself because you will never get up and do anything but god is challenging and pulling us tonight them and saying get started right where you are just take one step and I'll meet you take another step pastor what do you need for me to take I take one more step youth pastor what can I do to be a takeaway first lady do you need do you need you think you fans like take one step and trouble for you look up um you would have killed 600 Philistines but you gotta take the first step I'm closing musicians come when I'm I'm closing God is calling all of us hear me now to do something not soon not in the near future he's calling us to do something now hear me you are the one God's calling I'm young I'm this I'm going one of my family saved and God is calling you to do something right now there are battles to be won enemies to conquer souls to save and it can only be from you hear me God is not expecting for you to save the whole there's almost 8 billion people the world's getting biggest 8 billion people almost never in the world hear me do you think God is baby to save 8 billion people come on even when God walked the earth give me now don't miss this in his flesh he didn't save everybody you know it God made his biggest impact hear me one on one think about it God didn't preach a lot of big Crusades you know how we do now he didn't he didn't preach big venues and big events he went one-on-one y'all don't believe me the Samaritan woman he sent his boys he sent his disciples away as I got taking some business he went over there met this one woman and there's so much there's so much so much in this story he meets this one woman tales about her past changes her life she leaves goes back to the city and tells all the me y'all gotta come see your man follow me you gotta come see a man who told me my whole life she brought a whole city to Jesus did God go out there and preach to the man to hold no he did not he preached to one woman he connected with one woman and changed her life and she went back and reached her world y'all still don't believe me mark chapter five the madman of the gadarenes God goes to this one man he didn't go preach to the whole city one man one man we don't like that if God gave gave us a choice you want to preach to one person or 5000 how do the 5000 God said just give me one he changed this man's life he was naked on clover cutting himself bleeding going crazy six thousand demons Legion was inside of him God cast the demons out you know the story the demons went inside the pig the pigs wouldn't seeing choke the man tried to go with Jesus Jesus said no he said go back home to your friends and family God comes back finds the man clothes and his right mind and the whole city y'all not hearing me tonight the whole city is there who did God reach here each one one demented man and that one man went in changed his that's all God is asking for you to do you can't save 8 billion people call we can't do that God Eden he understand he don't expect that for us but he wants us to do as much as we can to save our world there are people young people that you go to school with that you work with who may never come to this physical building there are people that you see in your neighborhood in homeroom or your part-time whatever whatever part-time jobs or whatever they will never meet your pastor they will never meet your youth pastor but they see you every day they talk to you every day and if not physically y'all y'all y'all social media everyday our text everyday or whatever it's your world it's your responsibility I can't save yo I'll never meet them most likely I'll never come to your school and meet your classmates or come your college campuses I will never meet them but you see them you know them it's your world there's people in my world you'll never see that's my world that's all guys asked us to do just take one step another step another step one day you'll look up and realize look what the Lord has died simply because I did not let my past I did not let my upbringing I did not let what folks said I couldn't do hinder me and stop me everybody stand with me why can't you be the first one in your family to live for God to be used by God somebody may say well you know there's a lot of stuff that runs in my family there's a lot of stuff well it ought to run out with you it ought to stop with you we can sit there we all have demons from our past everybody everybody in my background everybody my family is not saved and holy I have drugs in my family and drug users and homosexuals I have all kind of stuff in my family tree but do you think that gives me an excuse to say God can't use me Sam gar shoulders nobody has excuses no matter who your family is my father my mother their pastors back home in our church in Atlanta their sham gars in no uncertain terms their sham gars and what I mean by that is is that my mother and father did not grow up in this precious apostolic truth they were both raised Baptist they were both raised you know the belief in the Trinity and my mother was baptized Father Son and Holy Ghost my dad was baptized Father Son and Holy Ghost sound like Shamgar matter of fact my mom will say first she came to church and got saved and she back slid she went back out in the world and she was at a party one night and she saw this man standing on top of a table dancing had a jheri curl had a see-through shirt showing his six-pack in small shorts on his big thighs and drinking and they were freebasing cocaine I mean just having a good old time back in the days and my mom she looked up and she said she felt like the Holy Ghost told her that's your husband of course I don't I don't suggest you do it that way please stay in the church and you know God works in mysterious ways but not not usually like that and she said I know I'm Baxley she said I know what you said but I ain't that baxley you know that's too much God said not actually that's that's your husband that's your husband long story short they got connected it got together she brought him to church he got say he toured a whole church up went crazy screaming I always heard the stories 2530 years they've been the senior pastor at the church now then come from an apostolic lineage my dad was a junior deacon in his Baptist Church his dad was a senior Deacon you go to the church they they still have him immortalize a picture on the wall and Deacon James why me he didn't grow up around this my mom did grow up around this good Baptist people good people but he grew up around this but God looked in their family my mom is the youngest in her family younger sibling my dad is the youngest sibling in his family God looked down and I have everybody shows them it's a sham God 90 Shamgar there's people in the sound of my voice in here who can relate to that you're the first and your family ever to be saved are the first person in your family that's really been used by god there's a Shamgar know anything on you and don't you ever despise your context of your background and say I wish my daddy was like so-and-so I wish my mom was like God didn't make any mistake he knew who you he saw everything you went through and he still said I can still use you for my glory and for apostolic they have a Shamgar nineteen on them that God took them from the unknown God took them from from obscurity and made them somebody my parents raised me in the church I grew up in the church I can't say I cannot identify with sham God and I didn't see my parents worship false gods and and and there wasn't abuse in my home they didn't abuse me they didn't abuse drugs there was an alcohol I didn't hear my parents fuss and cussing and I'm not saying they're perfect I love my parents but they they got some issues - Amen don't tell him I said but they were good people and they raised me up in a church and I was a Bible Quiz for eight years and I'm a product of Sunday schooling and with the youth camps and youth Congress's and all that type of stuff I was raised in the church by the age of 15 years old a backslidden I started running the streets of Atlanta I got involved in gang activity I started smoking marijuana and started drinking alcohol started going to clubs started to getting all kind of immoral and illegal stuff at one point I was facing two felonies on my Rick and I was opposed to be in prison I was messed up preacher son pastor son messed up on my way to Hale fifteen years ago there was a missionary and I church by the name of brother Gary Psalms he was a missionary to Spain he passed was named California he walked over to me on a Friday night at a mission circumference in my church and he put his finger in my face and he said young man I don't know who you are he didn't owe my dad it was the pastor he said young man I don't know who you are he said but God told me to come tell you that this is the last time he's gonna call you he's saying if you don't get your life together tonight he said God told me to tell you you're finished it's over for you my daddy just warned me a few months before that and said Myron if you don't get your act together son he said I give you six months boy you gonna end up dead or in prison oh that's just my dad keep praying for me listen a few months this man from I had never met him in my life comes over and put his finger in my face and say this your last warning son get your act together get your life right I fell on my face that night I cried and I prayed and I repented as it God I'm sorry I'm that's all my life flashed before my friends that's in jail I had friend that's died god I said I know you have more for me than that I said god of use me for your glory use me for your service that was 15 years ago look what the Lord has done God turned my life around God has changed my I said that they say the point that I'm making is that I don't even realized this I was I told the Rings when I promise you I promise you I'm finished through here I promise you by two or three weeks ago I was on the phone and I was I was talking with I was talking with Victor Jackson about two or three weeks ago and he said in the middle of our conversation he stopped he said Myron he said man he said he said I just feel like God told me to tell you this and I said I said what's what it got to you Vic and you said man he said Myron he said because Victor he had many of you know Victor Jackson he has a Shamgar loin ting didn't grow up in the church they really know his father his mom raised him outside the church but God put an anointing on him and he's using him obviously for his glory he's admired he said you grew up in the church Meyer he said have a great father and a great mother he said but God told me to tell you mind that he allowed you those years to go away from him for a season I said what you mean Vic he said God allows you to get far enough from him but not too far I said why what do you mean he said God allowed that he said it because now when he brought you back he said you would understand Sam gars I said I said what what do you mean he's what I'm trying to tell you is that he said if you would have stayed where you are he said I'm talking just to you he said that when God would have put his anointing on you you would have felt entitled you would have felt like my dad is a pastor my dad is a presper my dad is this my bishop is the great deal like all this stuff I supposed to be doing what I'm doing correct because of because of who they are but he said God allows you to go on for a season he says he allows you to feel how how it feels to be rejected the church that I grew up in I grew I was born in that church at one point they want to kick me out of the church because of my lifestyle they were telling my parents get rid of your son he's an embarrassment to the he's a reproach to the ministry oh the church that I was bored in my dad was the pastor pears was telling their kids stay away from Myron jr. he'd get you in trouble he's no good how would the pastor son I supposed to be whatever and I felt like a reject in my own church I felt discard I felt like people didn't want me anymore and God allowed me to feel that so he said so that when I put my anointing on you you'll appreciate it you were respected you were revered and you were realized it's not because of your mama and your daddy up it's not because of you as a Bible Quiz a per se but it's because I called you poor and my hand is on your life I can I can identify with folks who grew up in the church I've been there but I also can identify with the Sham Garza how can identify with the people who say God can't use me I've done too much wrong I've done too much bad people don't like me I can identify with you uh but I got good news for you God can identify with you wherever you going through something no it's it's backslide cuz the question is this if you died right now what you split hell or would you walk to heaven see that's the reality of it there's no way to better say that there's no way to pretty that up the fact is it's a heaven and hell issue choices you're making right now ask some of these older folks they know some of us know any we done messed up I don't mind telling you or the wide ones right on huh God did something even through all of those bad choices and brought you back but I'm convinced they'll have to all be bad you live for God I heard an elder a long time ago say God helped him set the cigarettes down he was a smoker in the big-timing come to God and God cleaned him up he said man it well I'd have no more desire for years went by and I picked him back up went out in the world didn't what I did he said the second time God didn't do that he said I had to make choices daily saying God I don't want this and he's I struggle with it because I'm the one who God did it the first time the second time he said now you deal with it he said it took them years to get past that the reason that's an important testimony young folk you don't have to mess up your life for God to put it back together you can make decisions in an altar where God said my hands on you my hands on you my hand is on you if you'll open your mouth at school I'm gonna fill it with words come on if you'll stay for you don't have to be embarrassed for living for God but you can live with joy that's unspeak full of glory some young folks think you know it I'll ask one of these guys but some bad choices they made and how God gracefully took them back I want you to get it close to somebody as we're dismissed we're gonna pray one for another for the Weidman their name you speak it out if you don't you God knows who they are I want you to pray for them right now that the Spirit of the Lord would rest upon them in an incredible way come on pray for them right now lift your voice Jesus I'm praying for my brother right now praying for my sister right now I plead the blood of Jesus over them Lord you know their past but better yet you know their future I believe that their sins Lord have been pushed under the blood through baptism and I'm praying God that you would reveal to them your perfect plan every step they take I believe God you can acknowledge that you're with them in the name of Jesus we're not all perfect Lord we don't we don't all have it together God but you're with us and you're leading us come on call that person's name out god bless them on their job anoint them on their schools I've known him God wherever they go bless them in their homes god I pray angels would be dispatched to go to them in your name God let their witness and testimony be powerful Lord God wake them in the midnight hour with a passion for the church God give him a word to share with somebody come on pray for like you want them to pray for
