What a responsibility it is to be in the house of the Lord. We give honor to you, fine saints of God, tonight. We give honor to Pastor Carpenter and his family. And uh uh of course we all wish that he was here tonight. I'd rather hear pastor than anybody else. Amen. That includes myself. I'd rather hear him preach. And uh the truth of the matter is this. I've known Pastor Carpenter for many years, even before we came. And I don't believe from the best of my recollection, I don't believe, and you can identify with me some of you, but I don't believe I've ever prayed as great as pastor is in preaching and in teaching. I have never prayed, "Lord, let me preach like pastor Carpenter." All right? Although he's wonderful and great, I have never prayed, "Lord, Lord, let me preach like pastor." But I have prayed, "Lord, help me love you like pastor Carpet." He loves Jesus more than anything else. It shows in his ministry. It shows in his work. Matter of fact, it shows even in his testimony. Uh every time pastor, I've heard it many times as well as many of you. Every time Pastor Carpenter talks about his conversion experience. Some of you could probably quote and recite it. When he was praying and he and the he felt the Holy Ghost come up over his head and he fell back and he's putting his tongue back to his mouth. I could almost I almost could testify for him. Every time he testifies that, I can't help but get teary eyed because I can just feel the presence of love of the Lord. As a matter of fact, one of our daughters, uh, Jaden, she wouldn't mind me saying this, Jaden, she can be reminiscing about that story in our house talking to us about Pastor Carpenter and she'll tear up. You know what that is? That's a love for God that exudes out of an individual. And because pastor has a love for God, do you know what? The church, the church of the Lord Jesus Christ here at FAC has a love of God. Could you look at your neighbor and say, "I love you with the love of the Lord." We teach what we know. We give what we have. And we pro we reproduce what we are. This church is a loving church. This church is a giving church because our pastor loves God, loves people, and loves to give. And it's a privilege to be a part of the wonderful saints of God. Could you say amen? >> Amen. Tonight, if you would with me for a few moments, turn to the second to the book of 2 Corinthians, chapter 1. I can say hello to my my be free brothers. Excited for them. I'm excited what God is doing. And uh uh brother Stewart taught Sunday morning. Brother uh Steuart Seat taught Sunday morning uh about a few things regarding nicotine and stuff. And would you know there was a couple guys laid some cigarettes down Sunday during service. So are we excited for that? Amen. We're excited for that. And uh uh you know there's a lot of things we talked about in be free that really quite frankly is applicable to all of our lives. And uh tonight I'm just going to just share with you and kind of just make myself at home like I'm in a be free class. Is that okay? Just a little bit. Amen. 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20. Just one simple verse. For all the promises of God in him are yay, and in him, amen, unto the glory of God by us. I want to say tonight that if you're an alcoholic, it's a great day. If you're a drug addict, it's a great day. If your marriage is on the verge of divorce, it's a great day. If you're suicidal, it's a great day. If you're depressed, it's a great day. If you're going through, if you have anxiety, if you have problems, if you got fired today, I want you to know it's a great day because I know a name that's above every situation, that's above every problem. No matter what you're going through today and tonight, we have a name. And that name is greater than any problem, any situation, any trouble you're facing. There is a name tonight that can free, save, deliver, and heal. All it takes is faith in the name of Jesus Christ and anything can happen. The writer said, "For all the promises of God in him, speaking of Jesus, are yay and in him, amen." Tonight, I want to bring to you just a simple thought for a few moments. It's all in Jesus. It's all in Jesus. Lord, we thank you for your spirit, for your word, for your presence. We ask you that you would anoint our hearts, our minds. Help me, I pray, oh God, to deliver the word of God that you've given to me. And let the Holy Ghost, I pray, touch every heart, every mind, and every life. We ask it in Jesus name we pray. Could someone say, "Amen." >> You may be seated. Man, in Jesus Jesus name. Paul is writing to the church at Corinth and he's just kind of giving them a little information about what's going on in in his life and he's just talking and he's telling them when I'm promising something I'm not saying yes and no and Paul's just kind of delivering his heart to them and reminding them that if I say I'm going to do something I will do it and then he says and furthermore I want you to know that all the promises of God in him speaking of Jesus are yay and amen. What he is simply telling them is in a small way I promise that I will be faithful to you. In a small way I promise that when I say I will do what I will do that I will perform what I say I will perform. He said but there is one greater than I that will no doubt do what he has promised to do without failure, without fear, without favor and without doubt. He says, "For all the promises of God in him are yes and amen." I am glad tonight that we serve a God of promises. >> I'm glad tonight that we serve a God that knows how to make a promise, knows how to keep a promise. He will not break a promise. I can break a promise to him. I can lie to him and tell him I'm gonna serve him all the days of my life. I'm gonna fast five meals a day. I can tell him all of these things and stumble and make mistakes. But I'm glad that God does not fail. What he says he will do, he will do. And that is without doubt. All the promises are yay. That word yay means yes, even so, or truly. The word amen means trustworthy, firm, and faithful. We serve a God that does not play around with our emotions. He does not promise. He does not promise to deliver and reig on his promise. He does not hold a carrot out in front of us hoping we'll run fast enough to grab that carrot. If God says he will do it, he will do it without fail. His word is yes, true, and it is faithful. He will be faithful to the ends and beyond the ends of the earth. We serve a promisekeeping God. Matter of fact, some have said that in the book of the word of God, there's somewhere between three and 7,000 promises from God in the Bible. Now, some of these are in various forms and and fashions and and some of these uh promises are are maybe uh uh good and bad depending on how you look at it. But the very first promise that God made, we find all the way back in the book of Genesis. You know the story. Adam and Eve in the perfect garden, living the greatest life. No bills, no payments. They're living luxury. They're serving God, walking with God, talking with God. The voice of God comes in the evening. We know the story. But of course, Adam and Eve because of the sinful nature that was in man with ability to choose, Eve takes of her the forbidden fruit. We know the story. She gives that to Adam. They both eat it. Their eyes are opened and they fall into sin. And because Adam has sinned, the Bible says death has entered into the world. Now, can you imagine how you feel when you disappoint God? We make a mistake. We sin. We do wrong. Guilt and shame comes upon us. I've been there. We've all been there. Can you imagine how Adam must have felt when in a perfect garden, Almighty God forming him with his own hand, breathed into him with the lips of God his own breath, and Adam in a perfect garden stumbles, falls, and makes a mistake. It is no wonder why Adam hid himself when the voice of God came walking in the garden. He was humiliated. He was unbelievably humiliated, disgraced, ashamed, and in fear. Great was the fall of Adam and Eve. But no matter how great the fall was, there was a God who would make a promise. >> Genesis chapter 3, God looks at the devil and he's proclaimed a promise. Although Adam and Eve will be kicked out of the garden, in Genesis chapter 3, the Lord says this to the serpent, I will put enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed. It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. In Genesis chapter 3, this is the first promise of a coming Messiah. This is the first promise of a savior that will reconcile a fallen man to a holy and living God. And from that point on, God sought a way to reconcile man with himself. The Bible says in Romans chapter 12, "By one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and death reigned from Adam to Moses." Between Adam and Moses, there was no written law per se, but death reigned because of sin. So between the time of Adam and Moses, men would live by to live the best they could according to the law that God had placed in their heart. It was a universal moral law that they would understand that there was a right and there was a wrong. There were times when God would speak to men individually perhaps like Abraham and others as a man to God. But men lived as best they could trying to understand the moral of the moral leadership of God. It was a universal law of good and bad. It was a oral law written in their hearts. But even that was not good enough for them to live above sin because death reigned from Adam until Moses. Why would it put it between Adam and Moses? Why would God in the Bible declare it that way? Because in the act of reconciliation, men needed to understand what sin was and what sin would do. So God said to Moses, "I am going to use you to write laws upon tablets that will direct the hearts and of men and women." And so we know of course that God on Mount Si meets with Moses, takes him up into a mountain. The cloud is dark with God's power and presence. And there the hand of God writes upon the tables of stone. What we call the ten commandments. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness. Thou shalt not u thou shalt honor thy mother and father, etc. And so on. So we know that God gives a law to Moses. It is called the Mosaic law. It is the old covenant if you will. It is there where God writes on the table of stone laws for men and women to live by to help if you will draw them again close to God. God's purpose since the fall of Adam and Eve was to build a bridge between a fallen man and a holy God. So he gives those commandments to Moses. It is the Mosaic law. Those ten commandments that began to multiply and become over 600 commandments that they would try to live by. Some positive commandments and some negative commandments. And in that law that God gave to Moses was the understanding that if you will do these things and if you will obey these laws, it will help you draw a relationship between you and a God that seems so far away. So man began to live by the Mosaic law, the law of the Old Testament. And in that law, there was a moral law and a ceremonial law. Just just stay with me for just a couple moments if you will. In that law, the moral law, there was an understanding of ethical standards and a universal good and evil. It was a there was a moral part of that law that would tell people how to live, how to act, how to treat your brother, how to treat your sister, how not to commit adultery, don't commit fornication, don't kill, don't lie. All of these moral attributes of the law that men would look at and try to understand. I need to apply that to my life. There was also another part of the mosa the mosaic law which was called the ceremonial part if you will. That is the rituals and the sacrifices and the festivals. It is in that law that Moses teach teaches them about the sacrificial lamb. How excuse me how to give that lamb to the priest, how to bring the bulls and goats, how to offer the turtle doves and the pigeons for sacrifice. It is in that law where they talk about the festivals and the activities. It is that part of the law that tries to implement that relationship to bridge that gap that gap between man and God. It was the law of Moses and in it they were taught to how to be moral and how to conduct sacrifices to atone temporarily for their sins. It is here where the priesthood would be set up. Where the priests would bring sacrifices to God. The people would bring their sacrifices to the priests and they would offer their sacrifices to God to atone for their sins. And once a year, the high priest would go into the holy place and offer that blood at the at the ark for the atonement of sins so that sins could be pushed up for one year. So all of that Old Testament Mosaic law was designed by God to bridge that gap from a fallen humanity back to a holy God. It is called the law of Moses. The thing about that law of Moses, the purpose was to reveal sin. The law could never forgive sins. The law was given to teach men and women what sin was, what it would do to you, how to avoid it. Excuse me. Allergies, but it never was able to cleanse the hearts of the sins. The purpose of the law of Moses was to reveal sin, express God's righteousness, guide moral conduct, and serve as a foreshadowing of Christ's redemptive power. It was there in that law of Moses. When Moses came down from the mountain, he had the law in one hand and the tabernacle approach in the other. It was there that God said, "I will learn how to draw you close to me or teach you that by sacrificial giving. And my relationship with you will begin to be bridged by the sacrifices you give to me to atone for sins just for a season." It is called the Old Testament law. It is called the law of Moses, but it never changed the hearts of men. That's a pretty good base, I hope, of where we're going. It was an attempt day by day, year after year, men would sacrifice to give that atoning blood of the bull and goat an opportunity to push their sins ahead. But sin and death still reigned over men and women. They were held captive to their sins. And it never ever changed the heart of men. But built in that law, built in that understanding of what God was doing with man, there was a nugget of truth that men and women did not see. And that nugget of truth was this. These temporary sacrifices are a foreshadowing of one that will come. There is a sacrifice that will come that will be the culmination and completion of this sacrifice and it will do what these temporary sacrifices can never do. So the whole Old Testament leans forward looking for a better way, a better covenant, and a better sacrifice. The men and women of the Old Testament were looking forward to the day when there would be an atoning sacrifice that would not only temporarily serve their sacrificial atonement, but would completely do away with their sins. The whole Old Testament was a school master for the New. So the Old Testament stands there as an iconic view of man's attempt to get close to an ever distant God. And try as they might, they could never bridge that gap, that gap to fruition, to completeness with him. But thanks be to God, he did not leave it like that. >> So what does that mean for us in 200? What year are we in? 20. Thank you. I get that mixed up between that and how old I am. There's a seven either either in the year or in my age. There's a seven in one of those. So, how does that apply today? That Old Testament law, that Old Testament sacrificial system where they offered the sacrifices where Solomon stood and they offered thousands of sacrifices as the blood flowed and God said, "My spirit will dwell in this house." when the priests came and the stench of the sacrifices would be covered up by the by the myrr and incense that would be lit up. How does all of that apply today? The reason why that's important to us is because that Old Testament law and sacrificial system was an example for what we have today. Galatians tells us a little about that. Remember that in Genesis before all of the sacrificial planning was offered and given, God made a promise to the devil. He said, "There's going to come one that's going to bruise your head and you'll bruise his heel." Galatians 4 and4 says it this way. But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth his son made of a woman made under the law to redeem them that were under the law. After 400 years of silence, the very fast the very last word in the Old Testament, if you will, I understand that Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are still in the Old Covenant, but in the old the very last word in the Old Testament is the word curse. Men and women lived, if you will, under the curse of sin from generation to generation, looking for that blessed day when Messiah would come and pay the ultimate price. And one day, the Bible said in Galatian, when the cup of sin was full, and when the time had fully come, God sent forth his son made of a woman made under the law. Jesus was birthed in the while the time the law was in full effect. Why? Because he had to fulfill the law so he would be born under the law. So Jesus was born under the same law of Moses back in the day. He was born under the law that he might redeem all of those who lived under the law. So in Galatians 4, the Bible tells us that Jesus was born under the law so he might redeem those that were under the law. Hebrews 10:1 says, "For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things can never with those sacrifices which they offered year after year continually make the comers there unto perfect. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering often times the same sacrifices which can never take away sins. The writer said it succinctly. He said, "Every day the priests would offer sacrifice. day after day, year after year, and they always were standing because no matter how many sacrifices they made, there was still another sacrifice to give. And at the end of a long day, when they put their head on the pillow, they knew that tomorrow there would be a host of people that would be bringing turtle doves and pigeons and rams and bulls. It was a neverending cycle. And the priesthood would stand every day ministering the same offerings day after day after day without ever atoning for the sins of the people because the blood of bulls and goats can never wash away sins. What a job. every day sacrificing pushing the sins ahead for just another year, another month, another day or whatever the term might have been on that particular occasion. Every day sins were offered and they stood continually. Every day. But the Bible, the next verse says, "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God." Do you know what that verse right there simply says? Jesus Christ after an Old Testament full of priests. You know, Jesus is our priest, right? He is our sacrifice. He is our priest. The Old Testament day after day offered sacrifices and they could never sit down because the sacrificial offerings were never completed. But when Jesus offered himself on an old rugged cross, one sacrifice paid for every sin committed by every man, woman, boy, and girl. And when Jesus offered his blood, the Bible says that he sat down, thus syndicating. When Jesus sat down, he was indicating this. It's done. >> Every sacrifice has ever been given. Every bull, every ram, every goat, every turtle dove, every sin that it ever purported to pay for. I want you to know that the blood that I carried up into heaven has paid for every sin you've ever committed. Every sin you ever will commit. And there's no need for another sacrifice to ever be given. And Jesus was the only priest that could ever sit down. And when he sat down, he said, "It is finished." What he was simply saying is, "You and I, we don't have to go to a priest today. Thank God. We don't have to confess our sins to someone behind a wall to tell them what we've done." The sacrifice that Jesus paid, he did it once for all. Hebrews 9:12 put it this way. Neither by the blood of goats and calavs, but by his own blood. He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. The Old Testament was full of sacrifices. The Old Testament would never change the hearts of men. And sin's price was never paid. with the old law, the old covenant. So when Jesus came in the fullness of time, he came that he might fulfill that which was unfulfilled >> and he offered one sacrifice for all sins, and he sat down. Galatians 3 and 24, wherefore the law was our school master to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a school master. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. The Old Testament, the Old Law was a school master to bring us unto Christ. It was a foreshadowing of what was to come. But when Jesus came and he offered himself one time, he satisfied the demands of sin. Romans 10:4, for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. He is the end or he is the completion of the law. Some people say, "I'd love to live in the Old Testament in your Bible times." I think be pretty cool, but I would not want to live under the Old Covenant law. I would know have no doubt been stoned many times long ago had I lived under the old. My wife would have might have been throwing some of those stones. No, she wouldn't. She's full of grace and mercy. Thank God. She's a New Testament wife. But I'm glad I don't live under the old school master. The school master, the Old Testament law was just a foreshadowing. It was an effort to cause us to understand what would need to be done to satisfy the demands of sin. So Christ is the end of the law. Matter of fact, Jesus puts it this way. Matthew 5:17, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfill." When Jesus came, he was coming not only to heal the sick and raise the dead. As wonderful as that was, he was not coming that we might just hear wonderful stories. He was coming to complete the law that demanded a sacrifice for sins that had not yet been paid. And the weight of sin was growing heavier every day. The weight of sin was growing heavier and more meaningful and more destructive every day. And when the time fully came, Jesus, born of a virgin, heralded by angels, was birthed into this world that he might fulfill the Old Testament law. This is powerful verse in my estimation. Jesus is now calling men to be his disciples. John 1:45, Philillip findeth Nathaniel, and saith unto him, we have found him of whom Moses in the law and the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth. To me, that is a most incredible verse. Philillip and Nathaniel are men whom Jesus has dealt with briefly and introduced himself. And somehow Philillip has an understanding of what the law is. And when he comes to his brother, he says, "Hey, Nathaniel, we have found him." He didn't say, "We found a miracle worker." He didn't say, "We found a guy who can walk on the water." He didn't say, "We found a guy that can just raise the dead and heal the sick." He said, "We have found him whom Moses wrote about generations ago and the prophets prophesied about generations ago. We have found him whom they prophesied would come." How did Philillip know that? How did Nathaniel understand that? It's because somewhere in that Jewish heart and mind of theirs, they understood that there is going to come one that will suffice all the requirements of sin. There will come one that will pay the demand that sin will require. And somehow Nathaniel Philip realized this man is that lamb. This man is that sacrifice that will pay all the penalty of sin. Moses wrote about Jesus in the law. But they did not understand it. They could not comprehend it because he was not revealed until that present time. Thanks be to God that Jesus has been revealed and we live in a time that we can understand it. Jesus fulfilled that law. Why was Jesus different than the blood of bulls and goats? Because Jesus blood was untainted by sin. His blood was perfect blood. He was a lamb slain from the foundation of the world. He was spotless, untainted by sin or corruption. So when Jesus offered himself once upon the cross, he paid that price of sin. >> And not only did he pay the price of sin, but he was closing out the old covenant to open up a new and better covenant for us. He was going to open up a better and more perfect way for us that by his blood that was sacrificed we could obtain a more excellent sacrifice and a more excellent salvation than they did of old. >> Romans 8 and1 we talk about this and be free a lot because it's so it's so poant to our situations in that room and life in general. Romans 8:1, there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. In Christ, I'm talking about it's all in Jesus. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. This line next is so powerful. So un so amazing we talk about it and be free a lot for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death for what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh. God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemned sin in the flesh that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. I have just another concept of a law to present to you tonight though many of you know it full well. Not only am I talking about the Mosaic law that was a attempt and an effort to bring man close to God, God gave man that law, but there was also another law that was found in Ezekiel chapter 18. The writer said it this way, "The soul that sinnth it shall die." The writer in the book of Romans called it the law of sin and death. It was a contractual law, if you will, between God and the devil. That law was anyone that sins, that soul is required in death. That soul shall die. It was an unbreakable law. That law had been exacted on every man and every woman that had lived in the Old Testament up through the time of Christ. Every man and woman that had sinned was required to pay the penalty of death. It was called the law of sin and death. And there was no escape from that law. But when Jesus came >> and his perfect blood was sacrificed, and he, the guiltless one, paid the penalty for sin. That contractual law, if you will, was broken because innocent blood had been exacted to pay the price for guilt. And the writer said, as was quoted the other night, "If the princes of this world would have known what they were doing, they would have never crucified the Lord of glory." Why? because the innocent was placed in for the guilty. And when Jesus was crucified, his blood broke the contract of the law of sin and death and created for us the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. What that simply means for you and I today is this. No matter how far under sin we've been, no matter how down we may have gone, no matter how far under we may be, the law of sin and death has been broken by the law, the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The question is, how do I partake in that? How, excuse me, do I become involved with that law of the spirit of life in Christ? Jesus gave us an escape clause away from the law of sin and death. How can I identify with that escape clause? If I want to get out of the contract with sin and death, I want to find myself connected to the law of life in Christ Jesus. How do I do it? How do I get in Christ? It's called the new birth. >> It's called death, >> burial, and resurrection. It's repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and the filling of the Holy Ghost. How do I get rid of this contract that's over my head, this law of sin and death? How do I get out from under that? The way I get out from under that is I get under the new law. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. And the way I do that is I am part of the new birth experience. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. >> This is this is elementary stuff, isn't it? But it's powerful because Satan demands a price. Sin demands a price. We're going to pay for something. And I promise you, sin exacts a heavy toll. Men and women who come through be free, like those who sit on these pews, pay a heavy price for sin. And sin demands you pay it. Alcoholism demands you give your paycheck to it. >> Drug addiction demands you give it, you give your family away for drugs. Sin demands you spend eternity in a lake of fire to pay for your sin. Depression demands peace be gone. Sin demands an exact and heavy price. But the grace of Jesus Christ though there is a cost paid for it. Jesus paid that co that cost on Calvary. He paid that cost on an old rugged tree. There was a cost that was paid and Jesus paid it. And he gave to you and I the liberty of his spirit. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's all in him. It's all in him. Everything we need is in Jesus. It's called the death, burial, and resurrection. And in case you don't know what that means, let me tell you real quickly. Jesus was crucified. He was laid in a tomb. and he rose again three days later to live forever more. That's called the death, burial, and resurrection. My be free guys could explain it very well. Death, burial, and resurrection. How do I identify with Jesus? How do I get into that law of the spirit of life? Same way we repent of our sins. Repentance is death. It's the old Paul. It's the old man dying out to myself. God, I don't want to be like I've been. I don't want to be who I've been. I tell it like this. You're on a highway and you're going the wrong way. You ever done that? You get off, go to Bies or somewhere, you know, go to McDonald's, whatever. You get back on and about a mile or two after you go like, "Oh no, I'm going the wrong direction. That's supposed to be going north. I'm going south." Maybe you've never done that. But if you had, you know what you do? The first thing you can exit, right? That's where repentance is. repentance on our highway to hell. >> Going headlong fast as we can. >> Going headlong into hell. You know what repentance is? Repentance is an exit ramp. Repentance is this. God said, "If you want to turn around, here's your chance. >> If you want to turn around, here's your exit. If you want to turn around, this is the way to get off. And you can turn around, start going the right direction." Repentance is nothing scary. It's nothing mean. It's not I have to get rid of stuff. I have to give up all my friends. I have to quit doing this. Repentance is an exit ramp off the highway to hell. >> And when we repent, our old man dies. And when we're baptized in his name, we bury the old man just as Jesus was buried. And then we rise again full of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 put it this way. This is elementary. Then Peter said unto them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ." In the name. I'm talking about how do I get into that law of the spirit of life. Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission or washing away of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Galatians 3:27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Romans 6. Know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, we're baptized into his death, we are buried with him in baptism. The only way we can get into Christ is we must be baptized in Jesus name. >> You cannot be baptized in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost and get into Christ. You must be baptized in his name, baptized in his death. baptized with him in death to fit on Christ. >> When we are baptized in Jesus name, that puts us in Christ. When we receive the Holy Ghost, that puts Christ in us, and that is new birth experience. 2 Corinthians 5:17, therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. John 3 and5. Except a man be born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Marvel not that I say unto you, you must be born again. I've simply come to tell you tonight very quickly, it's all in him. >> Jesus is the fulfillment and culmination of everything we've been looking for. He is our escape from sin and iniquity. Why? Because he paid the ultimate price that you and I might live in him. It is in Jesus for the promises of God in Jesus. Our yes and amen. >> Why do we preach Jesus so much? Because that's our completement. Our completion in him. He is our completion in salvation. 2 Corinthians 5. 2 Corinthians 5:19. And I'm quickly I know I've got I got a ton of verses. 2 Corinthians 5:19. To God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself by Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:8. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily, and we are complete in him. You want to be complete, get in Jesus. You want to have peace and joy, get in Jesus. You want to have hope, life, eternal salvation, get in Jesus. If you get in anything, get in him. Because when you get in Jesus, you get the Father, you get the Son, you get the Holy Ghost, you get God's grace and mercy and power and strength. It's all in Jesus. He is the completeness of everything we've been looking for. That's why we sing about him. That's why we praise about him. That's why we baptize in his name. It's all in Jesus. >> There's some benefits of them. Nothing shall separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Some more benefits for the family. Romans 12. So we being many are one body in Christ and every member are members in particular. We are one body in Christ. White, black, rich or poor, Republican, Democrat, independent. I know it. It's tough. But we're all in one body in Christ. In Christ, >> we're sanctified. 1 Corinthians 1 and2 says we're sanctified in Christ Jesus or made pure. We have life in him. 1 Corinthians 15:23, for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. >> He lives and he is our hope. >> Ephesians 2:13. But now in Christ Jesus, ye who were sometimes a far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Philippians 3:14, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God which is in Christ. The musicians would come, please. Singers, if you would come. The Old Testament was replete with the names that God would reveal to people to engender or endear himself to them. He would be called Yahweh, the tetetrogrammaton, YH HW. I am who I am. He would also be known as Elohim. He'd be called Adoni, Lord. He'd be called El Shadai, God Almighty. He was also known as Jehovah Gyra. The Lord will provide. He was called many things as he would reveal himself to his people. He revealed a different name that would identify what type of person or character he was exhibiting. So men began to know more about God. The more they walked with him, the more he revealed to them his characteristics by his revealed Old Testament names. But you know so well that in the New Testament when the angel came to Mary and said, "Thou shalt call his name Jesus." All revelation stopped. >> There was never another name introduced >> for the salvation of mankind. >> When the angel said his name shall be called Jesus, there was no Jesus Jehovah. There was no Jesus Adonai that was given later. There was no Jesus whatever that was given later. When he said he shall be called Jesus, that was the culmination. That was a salvific name of almighty God. That was the saving name of God. God robed in flesh. And so today, you and I, we don't have to pray to a Jehovah. I I like the songs. Hell sh I remember that. Hell, some of you are too young for that. But we sing songs about Jehovah, Gyra. All that's well and good, but that's all Old Testament. I'm glad that we've got a New Testament revealed name, and that name is Jesus. When you say Jesus, you said it all. When you say Jesus, you have declared the re revelation of the almighty God in New Testament. >> If you would stand with me tonight, it's all in Jesus. He is the mighty God in Christ. >> People want to pray in his name. They want to cast out devils in his name. But they don't want to baptize in his name. They are preaching the Bible said another Jesus. The only salvation plan is the death, burial, and resurrection, repentance, baptism in Jesus name, and infilling of the Holy Ghost. Everything else is error. They preach another Jesus because Jesus is not part of a godhead. He is >> the Godhead. The Godhead dwells in him. To preach Jesus in any other way or fashion is to preach a different Jesus. >> They don't want to baptize in Jesus name. But they'll say in the name of the father, son, the holy ghost. But you know what? They never cast out devils. I cast you out in the name of the Holy Ghost. They don't ever say, "I pray for you in the name of the father." They always use the name of Jesus. It'd be nice if a revelation would come to them that they would understand it's all in the name of Jesus. We pray in his name. We cast out devils in his name. We are called by his name. We have authority in his name. That's why in Acts chapter 3, Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I unto thee in the name of Jesus." Rise up and walk. any man, any woman in this auditorium that has the Holy Ghost, you can say the same thing >> to any any disease, any firm, infirm, you can walk up to someone as a believer baptized in his name with the authority of his name and you can pray and God can heal, save, and deliver anyone that you come in contact with because we know a name. We don't baptize in Jesus' name because we're Pentecostal, because we're apostolic. We don't baptize because that's the way we teach. We don't baptize in Jesus' name because we're Pentecostal. We are Pentecostal and apostolic because the Bible teaches if we baptize in the name, that's what makes us that. So, we do not baptize in Jesus name because we're apostolic. We are apostolic because we baptize in his name. It is his name that changes us. >> Now we'll read this final verse. Philippians chapter 2. Is this okay? Be free guys. >> Philippians 2 9-10. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name >> which is above every name. >> That at the name of Jesus Every knee should bow of things in heaven, things in earth, things under the earth, that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord >> to the glory of God the Father. Every promise of God in Jesus is yes and faithful. Would you lift your hands and begin to sing this course for just a moment? Would you lift your hands tonight? If you've not been baptized in Jesus name, it's for you. >> If you've not put on taken on his name, there is a law of sin and death that can be broken off your life by ascribing the law of the spirit of life in Christ. If you need healing >> that can silence, >> there's a name >> that can be spoken over you. >> I know a name. >> If you need deliverance tonight, >> there's a name that can deliver you. >> He is the Old Testament personified. He is a culmination. >> He's a redemptive plan of salvation. >> He's the almighty God in flesh living in the spirit. In the Holy Ghost and inside of you tonight, something comes out of the grave. Every time I call you Jesus, I call you. I call you savior. There's therefore glory forever. Something comes out of the grave. >> Be healed in Jesus name. >> Every time I call you, be strengthened in Jesus name. >> Be set free in Jesus name. >> Be delivered in Jesus name. >> Rebuke the devil off your life in Jesus name. >> Speak faith in Jesus name. >> Claim your vaccinated children in Jesus name. He went on and she has crushed the serus every time I call you Jesus. All you know, something comes out of the grave. Every time I call your name, change, break, try, bones, wait. Every time I call your name, the gates of hell shame. Every time I call your name, have to break. Every tr away. Every time I call you g. Every time I call your name. [bell] Every time I call again. Your death is now your glory. is now your glory. Hallelujah. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Let him go. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Jesus come alive in the name of Jesus. >> >> Let's praise him together tonight in the name of Jesus. Anything is possible. He is your salvation. He's your deliverer. He has set us free from the law of sin and death. He has made us among the beloved tonight. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. If I may just for just for a moment, I don't mean to take advantage of anything, but in the prayer room is praying for prodigals. I just felt a burden to pray for for ministry that has failed for ministry that may have lost their way. And so, I just want to speak this to someone out there tonight. If you've been a part of ministry and have failed, there's been a situation in your family that has caused you to lose your position or your family or something that's caused through hurt and pain. I just feel like telling someone tonight, there is restoration. >> If he can forgive someone sits on a pew, he can forgive a pastor, he can forgive an evangelist, he can forgive a Sunday school teacher through the name of Jesus, there's restoration. He can restore you. He can He can He can heal and deliver and save. He can touch your life. Aren't you glad for the blood of Jesus tonight? Amen. Amen. I'm glad for the name of Jesus. The devil doesn't like that name. But it saves, heals, and delivers.
