get your Bibles out we'll be needed it thank you so much brother Don and you may be seated if you feel like you need to good to see all of you out tonight December huh wow it's hard to believe in a few short sleeps we'll be up and it'll be 2024 that's how my kids used to Mark everything your kids too got three more sleeps I always did bu the sleeps so I'd make them take naps I no by 19 more sleeps even though it is two days we're doing lots of naps I'm joking so we are here now the month of December and custom at our church you guys know my manner if you will is every year I set out from the first of the year the topics for the year it helps me to stay on track and helps it to be more pertinent to the season if you will the time in which in which we are studying we just finished up the uh November which of course includes Thanksgiving so our topic of discussion was thankfulness but uh during the month of December we are going to take a a closer look at the birth of Jesus now our our theme for the month is multiply everybody say multiply everybody say multiply multiply when when you understand that meaning multiply you you already know that um it it's almost matthy can we say that it's almost mathy because you know you add you subtract you multiply and you divide the world as we know it they have their way of celebrating this time of year right for an example they do trees and they put lights on them and they put shiny stuff on them oh they also buy presents and and gifts and they they they talk about a big guy in a red suit with a big white beard that that's their custom that's what what they do they also talk about snow and reindeer and sleigh and stuff like that it was it's always interesting in South Florida they have the carols playing Let It Snow let us just very very interesting because they've never had snow um all of this though is a way quite honestly to commercialize this time of year right it's just what it is I I I I want you all to understand me okay what I've discovered in the word of God is there's a whole lot of things that are done in our modern culture that are not mentioned in in the Bible is that true um now we can take instruction from the word of God we can take how that the word of God gives us the guidance the direction in our paths of life but I don't have time tonight if you have questions I'd be glad to help you with it to talk about how did Christmas trees come about how did um Holly become part of the the seasonal things how did mistletoe become okay I there there's explanations for this stuff and believe it or not give me some some little bit of lateral here as Pastor to try to help us understand a few things before we go into this there's a lot of things about the season does anybody know what this is it's a what do you guys know it's a tropical plant yeah we had these all over the Dr man they were big as a car and because it grows in the tropics that's why you take it home and set it in your house in the winter time it's very pretty for how long not very long huh my wife would make me put them under the house that B it's dark and it's cold I said okay that's a good idea then four months later she' go didn't we have points sets somewhere crawl on drag out this no throw it away uh there's a lot of things that were introduced into for just the sheer word Christmas stands for what somebody help me Theologian Christ Mass because in the day of course again we're not going through all of this but I'll give you just some highlights so you can take some time and study this out out the poor folk could not afford to go to the church every day like the rich folk and so there was a discussion and they would shut down the cities and they would do a mass that all the poor all anybody could go to and it would be the Christ's mass and they could all participate of course now when you do your research you find out about pagan worship you find out of those things but listen care y by definition the word Pagan is simply country country worship true so for an example Pagan worship they had horns on like a deer antlers for their hats or miters because they couldn't afford the gold miters that the priest wore and so they were poor folk and they would they danc around a fire and they dressed in the skins and stuff they did because they were mimicked what was done in the church okay the trees the mistletoe all those things they were brought in for that reason stay with me please but there's also a lot of other things that maybe one day I'll put together finish the lesson series on it I don't what's today what's what day of the week Wednesday we also know for those that are skeptical skeptical about Christmas you do realize that Monday day was named after a god Sunday was named after the sun god Monday was the moon God to you understand that do do your study and you'll find out the days of the week were named after gods and for those that are concerned about Christmas and that stuff shouldn't then then don't use the days of the week because they're ultimately they were put into place named after Gods January February March all the months they were named after idles stay with me aside from that tonight I want to go into the people who do know their God when we understand the whole premise of why in the world you and I are here tonight in a building lifting our hands under the Lord God little backstory here before we get into the scripture Moses we've all heard of him he was the one responsible for the writing of Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers and Deuteronomy where Sam need to di have say that um he wrote the Torah the teachings the instruction from God also known as the pentat took it's another form pentab being five the first five books the scripture God made certain that if he was going to be God to somebody to a people to a person that he had created on planet Earth this group would need guidance Direction and instruction from him and God would give to them every detail needed when you understand that we get into the Genesis Exodus Leviticus and numbers you can study about how that the the the ways of God God were giving given to the people of God through Moses but then when we get to the book of Deuteronomy basically translated is the second law of Moses it wasn't a new law it was simply God giving to Moses the emphasis for him to tell the people how he was going to interact with them and how they were going to interact with him Deuteronomy chapter 10 we'll begin there uh again this is the fifth book in your Old Testament Deuteronomy 10 verse 17 Deuteronomy 10 And1 17 can somebody with a really loud good um radi looking sounding voice could you read these verses for me loud voice Deuteronomy 17- 22 someone anyone chapter 10 verse 17-2 22 yes sir read God is God of gods and Lord of lords a great God ay and terrible which regard not persons nor taketh reward Verse 18 he do execute the Judgment of the fatherless and Widow and loveth The Stranger in giving him food and 19 love ye therefore the stranger for ye Were Strangers in the land of Egypt Thou shalt fear the lord thy God him shalt thou serve and to him shalt thou CLE andar his name 21 verse 22s down egpt made as the stars of thank you God gives to Moses this profound set of words I don't know if anybody noticed it here first of all he says to them for for anybody else know what's in the first portion of the book of Deuteronomy 6 4 what is it okay so the establishment that God is giving to Moses is to make sure that the people that were going to be his people understood if you when take your time in your study go back and read chapter 6 7 8 and N there's some incredible law command that God gave and then in in chapter number 10 for tonight's sake I started at verse 17 but go to verse number one and begin to read there God establishes for the Lord your God is what God of gods and Lord of lords he's established here with his people that he is not simply an idea a thought a consideration but he is indeed the one that would give them the laws give them the Commandments and if they would follow them this God of gods Lord of lords would be number one in their life and he would sustain them keep them protect them he would he would deliver them amen he would make sure that they remained his now if you understand that and you understand why God gave to the people these laws realize that there is something that is innate in a human it's still today in in 200 and and 23 nearly 24 there there's a young young fell sitting over here in brother Dakota's lap he he's just so sweet look look at him he he don't he don't like me he don't know me he just satisfied can can y'all see him as sweet as that little fell is he was born in sin the nature of that is sin what is sin Disobedience to the commands and the word of God so this little guy as sweet as he is was born in sin look back there look at Logan back there lo sweet and as kind as he is he was born in sin we we we know Logan in the heart and in the mind of humanity there is a desire to live life to its fullest agreed imagine if you will you you individually imagine if you will if you did not have a conscience you had no ability to know there was a rting wrong how would you live your life I mean honestly how but you would know it was Reckless because to you you would simply be living your life agreed I mean it sounds strange because as long as we've known it there's always been a way to kind of understand the good and the evil the right and the wrong but the fact remains that in humanity when God breathed his breath into and made a living soul soul of humans that nature took on not only the Breath of God but when he disobeyed God turned it over and said now I cannot come near you I cannot touch you I can't even spend time with you until what I give you a way to get to me that's called law and if you follow that law believe it or not we're going to talk multiply tonight it's December if you'll follow that law it will overcome that sin nature and God will then be able to see us and spend time with us again your Old Testament you're back in the Genesis Exodus Leviticus Numbers and Deuteronomy days you're back into the law days when God said if you'll do this if you'll follow this I will be your God I am God of gods and Lord of lords but I want you to be my people and whenever your name is mentioned anywhere on Earth they'll associate you with me now if that's the case then we see all around the world activities that happened from historical events Generations way back is when the people the men and women needed help it was God who they cried out to you notice that we're the same today I mean I mean honestly if it falls well in our Our Lives we don't spend maybe as much time just simply being with God but boy when things start to fall apart and the fans start blowing you here and there and and bad decisions are crumbling what do you start doing yeah come on y'all pray for me tonight why why can't you just take care of it yourself you're the one who got you there well that's mean that's what Disobedience does when you need God you'll cry out to him listen to me you could there might be somebody in your family somebody you work with that's the worst most terrible person but if their life is blowing up don't be surprised if they come up next to you and say man I I I'm not a church I had this guy com me one time the big old guy I me he like he was so messed up bless his heart he came in one day we were working on a job he said man can you throw one up to the big man for me I said you about the biggest guy I know what am i f to throw no no you know I went oh man you going make me say it you're the one that came to me can you say a prayer well can't you he don't listen to me he don't no I said well I wouldn't listen to you either hey thing he said well I know I'm all messed up I said ah so talk to him see what he says n I'm good can you just throw one up for me well two or three days later what does what does my nature do I'm not an antagonizer I'm a rememberer so about three days later I said hey buddy how's that going on you know what it just didn't work out said oh oh I saidwell I threw one up to the big man yeah I know I said evidently yours didn't make it or he would have answered yours probably well I didn't well there you have it you should have now here's my point here's my point if you know who to call out to in your darkest moment in your life it better be your God God establishes this back in Deuteronomy I am God of gods I Am Lord of lords notice what else is said here in in in verse number 22 thy fathers went down into Egypt with what three score and 10 how many is that math folk 70 70 persons but now the Lord thy God hath made thee as what man how many has counted Stars before one two skip a few 99 100 that's about how how well it goes right they went in 70 people and in the midst of Egypt which you and I call the representation it's symbolic of Egypt is sin the world if that's the case they went into the world a group like this but because they served God they expanded listen to me anybody remember the story of when when Moses and Aaron went into Pharaoh what they asked for first come on Bible guys they what they said can we just remove oursel for a day to go and worship our god what what what was told to them no Welly that was simple now you stay with me the whole premise of why the plagues Begin to Fall Paul is because God told them you go in and you tell Pharaoh you want to take your people out to worship here was the concern Pharaoh had already decided those folk of that day had already decided if these guys ever recognize who they are and they start calling on some other peoples it's going to be really really tough and Egypt's going to be wiped out so task Masters were put in place not only were they trying to keep them from going to worship their God but they decided if we work them to death then they'll they won't want to C cry out now here's my here's the point to this the fathers talking about those who went into Egypt they went in with freedom and liberty like anybody else had but in the process of time they began to go under slavery and bondage they were made to to build and to gather sticks and to gather mud and all the things they did now they're multiplied over and over and over in fact this Bible says like the stars of the heaven you can't even number them there were so many of them the importance of this fact is simply this God had already established with him I am God of gods I Am Lord of lords nobody will ever compare to me Moses is giving these words to the people the people are listening come on you can read in the book of Deuteronomy they had already gotten here oh Israel the Lord this is what you teach your children why because if you ever get away from the one God if you ever get away from who the Lord is you'll begin to follow After idols and Pagan things that's not going to have any value at all now enter stage right 2023 y'all with me as we study the word of God we understand that God cannot be wrong right God cannot Heir God cannot oops I've said it a thousand here we go thousand and one he does not know how to punt he has never pushed back and have to just simply get the ball back down the field no God knows what he's doing I wish somebody believed that cuz if you understand and you believe that when we get into this season then we can truly understand what God was talking about about when he said I'm God and I'm Lord notice how the writer John John John records this listen what he says in John chapter 10 verse number seven then said Jesus unto them again verily verily I say unto you I am the door of the sheep verse 8 of John 10 all that ever came before for me are thieves and robbers but the Sheep did not hear them verse nine I am the door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture verse number 10 the thief cometh not but for to steal to kill and to destroy I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly Jesus declared this statement and the words that he used to them was simply this if you do it any other way you are a thief if you try to wrap your mind around who you think you are and you try to do it in any other form or fashion you are a thief and the thief comes to do what now wait a minute they had already gotten the law Thou shalt not Thou shalt not you understand what's going on here God is a establishing if you're not going to follow me there is no Gray Road there is no fine line between it is simply yes or no that's why at the great white Throne judgment you will stand before him and he will judge you not us and he will look for your name not mine he'll look for my name but he'll also look for yours as an individual the purpose in this is because he wants you to have life that is fulfilled in fact it's even called abundantly come on he doesn't want you simply to live but he wants you to have a life and life more abundantly now because the result of an abundant life is simply this the power to grow the power to mature even when you multip multiply the promises of God they unfold themselves to us and because we submit oursel to the word of God the promise of God who God is at that point friend you then can lean lay rest and confide in the fact that God has you in mind and he wants for you to multiply in your talents your Treasures your abilities he wants to help you come on some of you in here you you feel like maybe that the the enemy's lied to you and telling you that you're not worth anything that you're not able to to be successful and come on our society today is very good at downplaying everybody it's always amazed me that Social Circles are always comparing things on somebody else's things huh yeah when when when your kids go to school and and they're going through a class they they're going to teach a class on those in our history who were successful agreed yeah and by and large in this culture they they'll begin to talk about a Bill Gates or an Elon Musk or or some of these names that all of us hear about every day it's very common word or if you're at all into sports you're going to hear about LeBron James you're going to hear about about any other baseball player you're going to hear of a Tiger Woods these guys that are out there making millions and trillions of dollars playing a sport or doing something like I hope we all understand that if we're following God we've got a little more common sense to recognize that it is 0.003% of anybody that gets to go and play those Major League Sports I mean honestly and the enticement of it is this they'll give you money because money equals success and success equals happiness huh and it don't take long at all to figure out that some of these guys they're not happy their fans are not happy in fact I could go I I do a little homework and and reading on on some some non-name people that used to be very popular but when their money ran out or when their career ended nobody even knows who they are anymore you can't even find them and in fact there has been it's always cool to me sometimes on some of the social sites they they show this 21-year-old guy you know that that used to make $20 million a show or whatever and it's then and now said that's cool because the now is this come on SE hang on to me man huh like what happened that dude had millions and millions of dollars and now all of a sudden he's out here pumping gas like I am he ain't even eing as electric be Josh I'm trying to help you huh what happen the successful eyes of humanity when you no longer brought a thrill to them or excited them on the field or on the court or whatever they just simply forgot about you if you can't stand out there on a stage and excite them with your singing and all it's amazing to me I'm I'm let me wax eloquent here just for a moment because I know how I'm minut it these oldtime singers that are like 103 in Concert on tour oh you said the names you can't say the names I I saw I saw a guy that was a rock rock guy back in the 50s he's still on tour you know back then they do 300 cities now it's four cities they know that the t-shirts used to be jam-packed with all the cities now it's they's got them all spread out you know big comeback I'm like why are these guys still out here why is Willie still singing because he ain't got no more money y'all hang on to me God established principles with his people and he said it by saying God of gods Lord of lords and then when we get to John we find out that what is trying to happen through God's word his promise his plan is that if you know Jesus you can have life and you can have it more abundantly notice what else John had to say these are are are very powerful words in John the first chapter the first verse you all know these probably by memory in the beginning was the word the word was with God the Word was God verse two of John 1 the same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him there no there you go make sure y'all were here was not anything made that was made in him was life and the life was the light of men the light shineth in Darkness Darkness didn't comprehend it now hang on to me it's interesting to me that John writes about the beginning you realize John was not there in the beginning true it's it's like something boy I want to get stuck out here I got a couple minutes y'all with me it's back to Moses I I don't know if y'all know this or not Moses was not there at creation he wasn't standing there next to Adam boy I need to write this down what do you call that a camel yeah sheep gotta arvar okay anater I mean he wasn't here's one against me dodo bird but it was hundreds of years later as the spirit moved on men of old the unction of the Holy Ghost they wrote that's what the Bible tells us Moses wasn't living in that creation moment but God put in his brain in his mind under his pen the actions of in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth and and he's writing this down he's not living there he's simply allowing the spirit of God to move there is only one way that Moses could ever pin those words and that would be because he understood through his relationship that God had with him I am God of gods and Lord of lords and he established it in his mind and in his spirit and he knew at that point you know what as God be to relay to him Genesis the beginning he begin to relay to him the actions and activities of what were going on then Moses comes on the scene but it's years later why is this so important because John reverts back to it in the New Testament days in the beginning was the word what is John indicating here through this writing he had established then through his relationship with Jesus what God of gods Lord of lords established so here we are today as we are looking at the word from how God gave it to the people of God I am God of gods I Am Lord of lords if you will establish that I will be your God you will be my people and wherever you go I will be with you things will happen in your life blessings will come provision will unfold to you have you ever noticed you theologians every time that the people of God would turn and deny God Walk Away from God the blessings of God would stop Wars would happen and they'd be pushed back and they're standing there and every time they're going what happened why they forgot God was God and they denied the fact he was Lord of lords but then lo and behold a generation or two would come they did right in the sight of God God would move back in he would reestablish with them listen that is clear indication for you and I that any human even though you are in the presence of God know who God is if you are not guarding your relationship with him you too friend can lose you too me we can lose so when John brings this out I'm here tonight in in in this month of December and I'm talking about how that when Jesus came he came to multiply the word of God the Bible tells you time and time again next week we'll get into it in more detail but it says and the Miracles of Jesus the things Jesus did he did many miracles in their midst he did lots of things in their or he could not do miracles in their midst because of their unbelief on and on we discover here where Jesus went he was fulfilling that law does anybody understand that when Jesus stood that day and read and then rolled up and handed it and sat down they said man you can't close it up you got to finish because you started reading Jesus simply said today I've come to what fulfill what does that even mean how is it that a man could have the audacity to walk into a temple and all of the things and rituals and guidelines that they had been following how could he go in there and say he me that and start reading and stop in the midst of it call it up hand it to him and say we're done here and he sit down and and not even reverencing what their religious actions were and when they were he was confronted with it he simply said to them today today I am fulfilling God of gods Lord of lords oh what does that even mean you don't even know but when Jesus was born in a manger away from all the pump and away from all the junk and anybody who thought that God of gods and Lord of lords could come that way Jesus was born and the first ones that it's revealed to is who no thank you wait a minute to Mary hey little girl and then to the one that she was supposed to marry Joseph don't be afraid and then this baby's born and the Shepherds Shepherds for crying out loud they don't even have a Facebook page huh am I right I mean I can see it now I don't know my my mind don't work good they're all on the side of the Hill they they walk into the manger Dr on they're all like of the peace sign over Jesus all right never mind it would have made a good play here's the point when we talk about the birth of Jesus some of y'all right now your minds are like oh we're going to do that that's going to be good yeah we're gonna make a million dollars okay it's already been done when we talk about the birth of Jesus and the month of December it is Christmas I can guarantee you my friend that when the Christ mass that was established to make Christmas its sole purpose was so that those who could not could and I realize it was all a man-made I understand through history that I've read and discovered and all the things that came along with it they were all symbols and similitude of who God's grace mercy love and power was and there was nothing in a powerful in mistletoe but they took that plant and said this is the the the the the the the power of fertility that's why don't stand under the ml Toe with anyone else but me you don't remember that old it again it again oh that's the wrong you said sing it again oh listen to me that's why that you kiss under the mistletoes because it had the power of fertility listen to me all of the things then that humans have made throughout the eons of time the glitter the Glamour the lights the bells the songs the Angelic choirs and all of that stuff it is a Sim similitude of what God had done do you realize that that is the tool that the enemy used in the garden the serpent was more subtle than any creature you can touch this fruit no if I if I do I'll die you won't surely die oh really all it what come on that's the only tool the enemy has ever had take what's truth and feed it back come on the preacher wrote to the young preacher God has not given us the spirit of what wait a minute you mean fear is a Spirit hold on you know why God didn't doesn't want you to be afraid because if he is God of gods and Lord of lords in your life and you've allowed his word to grow in your spirit then you don't have to be afraid of anything I've said a million times do you think for one moment God's going to roll the dice on your life not by any means so at this Christmas season let's call it December let's say when you're talking to your co-workers and your family members about what it really means this season come on it's more than Jesus is the reason for the season Jesus is the season because every day that ought to be in your mind he's God of gods and Lord of lords the law was established Jesus came to fulfill it and I'm standing here tonight saying we need to multiply this word every corner of the globe every part of any City you can establish who Jesus is that's right amen I come today to fulfill it the Word was God the word was with God it was all connected there at that point from the beginning if that's the case you and I tonight can stand upon the promise that God knows exactly what he is doing and if we wrap our hearts and our minds and we understand that the body of Christ continues to move on I I want to share something in my closing statement here for just a moment as much as you and I feel like we matter we count we have value in people's lives I think we all recognize the reality of it is simply this as well when we're dead and gone in the ground somewhere how long do we really think we're going to be remembered now that's not a cold thing that's just simple truth like the oldtime preacher used to say you want to know what your worth is take your finger put in a bucket of water you fill that space pull your finger out and as fast as that Circle closes huh here's the point nature that we are all born with brother Dr could you come we grow we we we learn we we move forward we we mess up we fall we get up we keep going we fall we get up we keep moving we go backwards we hold on we shout Victory we fall down we cry it's that life that back forth up down seasons of of life for us but through all of the life seasons in you and in us as individuals and as a church family and as your individual families in the midst of all of that let me tell you something he wants to multiply himself in you listen to me carefully when Jesus walked in SHO leather it was Jesus and them it was the law of the word from before that he was fulfilling that's how he could be so bold as to Simply say you see these things that I've done yeah these things and greater things how how you whoa whoa whoa what does that mean that means that when you heard me speak the name Lazarus that was one voice to one body but I declare to you that you can declare the power of the god of gods and the Lord of lords over any dead body and if it be the will of God they can come up out of a grave you've come too late to tell me come on you could anybody here ever been sick you ever had a physical problem and everybody around you is going but godall huh but God don't you fall into the Trap that the enemy's trying to put you into I don't really know what to say sir but you had cancer but it's gone now basically we must have shook it loose when we smacked you yeah and that's not at all what happened what do you think happened what'd you tell them Tim God touched me God touched me sister ke what God touched you now it's multiplied huh come on some of y'all should have been dead gone every everything shot in your vein shot in your smoke drank whatever and you should have been dead but God now this multiply huh how are they going to know that you're one of his I can tell you how by the word of your testimony when you tell somebody some multiplication tables are working come on I am convinced y'all listen to me and I'm done I am convinced that we are living in one of the greatest days of the church why because in the darkness the light shines the brightest huh and where sin abounds Grace does charism much more he put something in you to to multiply this in in your family on your job don't you ever be ashamed to speak the name Jesus wherever you go oh but Pastor I don't want them to think me a fanatic what are they going to think when you're standing at the Judgment that's right oh I don't want you know that they put you in jail put you in jail I mean can I pastor we got to be smart about this okay I'm I'm all the stuff that's unfolding in our world in our in the prophetic man we got people starving to death now go on any any social site you're going to find people out there saying what does this Israel thing mean why don't they just destroy him why can't they just destroy that little bitty spot in the world huh and even if you don't understand Daniel's prophecy and you don't understand Revelation you can understand one thing about Israel they've tried it a million times and never succeeded anybody notice oh God don't get me started anybody notice the recent days that the war in in in Israel and Palestine is less and less in the news anybody noticing that I mean there's still a few stories but man it was splattered everywhere and now it's here there's a little here there's a little they you know they're letting hostages go and you know why it's cuz the media don't know what to think these Israeli soldiers are going into Gaza and they're coming out of Gaza these guys are leav leaving their homes to go defend their country and they're coming home now war is tough on anything and all the pictures that are shown you better know those buildings are crashing down and the rockets are doing what they're doing and I'm not here to say good bad or ugly I'm here to say this you better know the word because there's a God of gods and a Lord of lords and it was established from the beginning and if we're going to know it in this day we better multiply the testimony what God has done in our lives come on God's been good to you don't you let the lies of this world silence your testimony but let it multiply that's right huh standing in the line at the store how are you today you know I used to talk to the checkout person Josh I was good at that but now it's me did I just say that I didn't mean to vent honey I didn't I just get frustrated checking myself out at Walmart I don't get a paycheck anyway it's just me but I used to talk to them now I'm standing there at the check out scanner think how are you today I'm fine how are you I'm all right Tim you got to talk to some huh yeah used to talk folk on the phone now it's all automated yeah can I not even talk to somebody listen to me that poor person at the restaurant though not every restaurant has the robot yet just the sushi places they come to the table man every every CH how are you today what's your name again man I'm so glad you're here it's a great day to know the Lord and I'm not pushing nothing on nobody I just want them to know God of gods and Lord of lords is in my life his name is Jesus he's come to fulfill it in the beginning was that word that word is Jesus come on let's multiply you
