would you pray with me, church family? lord, today we are thankful. we come in today with grateful hearts, thankful, lord, that you are here with us. we not only feel your power and presence, lord, but you fill us with it. thank you, lord, for the opportunity to gather. pray right now, lord, that your anointing that fills this room that it would speak into our hearts and lives. for those that have joined us online, god, i pray you would anoint them where they are today. those in the room, lord, we have sung songs. we have prayed. we have brought offering, lord. and today, right now, we hunger for you to work in our lives through your word. one more time. jesus, i make myself available to you. i so desperately need you, jesus.

all of my righteousness as they are as filthy rags. lord, i must i must have you in the name of jesus. breathe life, breathe word into this place. the name of the lord, let your will be accomplished in us. i pray in jesus' name. loose faith in this house, lord. peace in the holy ghost, the joy of the lord, let it saturate us right now in this place in the name of jesus. together, can we give the lord a hand clap of praise? come on. it's as unto the lord right now. we love you, jesus. we love you, lord. we we trust you, lord god. great is your faithfulness. so good to be in the house of the lord today. amen. if you're a guest with us in the house, we welcome you. and if you're online, we welcome you.

aren't we glad that our guests are with us today? you can you can be seated if you feel like you have to. thankful to all that are involved here at cac. all the departments, whether you're setting out water or you're watching cars in the parking lot, teaching a class, greeting folk at the door, whatever your part of cac is, i thank you for that. and it is all unto the lord. amen. thankful that uh the lord is not slack concerning his promises, but he's faithful. everybody say, "god's faithful." >> look around you today. hey, we do have several that are out of town. summertime, that's what happens. folk travel, go on vacation, and go visit family and go spend a lot of money and come back and pray through it. it's just what it is, right?

it's called america. it's called america. i'm glad that i live. again, i'll echo words said previously in this nation. thankful that i still have the ability to pray in public and in private. amen. we still have the ability to gather under one roof and speak the name jesus. >> come on, somebody. i'm thankful that the lord is still faithful and his word is not short. we live in the great united states of america. the land of of opportunity, the land of progress. that's us. throughout history, we can see the impact that america has actually had on the world. as again mentioned a moment ago, 250 years this year, we are celebrating the uh birth, if you will, of this great nation.

but there have been inventions, ingenuity and investments that this great nation has given to the world that has literally changed the world. people that have a desire to make a difference in the world, they begin to dream and they begin to chase after those dreams and they watch it unfold in their lives. they've invested their time and their money. they've invested what they believed in, followed and pursued their dreams. and now you and i today we are recipients of so many of those people of the past. i can mention a few names like elon musk, steve jobs, warren buffett, henry ford, oprah winfrey, bill gates, richard branson, ray croc, andrew carnegie, just to name a few.

every one of these names i mentioned today, you are recipients of what they brought to the world. if you have a cell phone, you can thank somebody else for that. i didn't invent it. i wish i would have just thought and invented cold coffee. i just poured it out, richard. i'm like, man, these people are paying six bucks, five bucks. i'm like, come on. the love of pete. i tell you what, i'll i'll buy a cup for two bucks, set it on my desk for an hour and a half. you can come get it and give me five. what' you say? but i missed that one. people who fought, they pressed against the unknown to simply discover methods and realities about human investment and influence. and they began to change the world. they didn't know they were doing that.

they were simply following a dream. but as it turns out, their pursuance of a dream literally shaped the world. no doubt, every one of us can attest to the fact that they were laughed at. i can only imagine what henry ford faced back in that day of the the invention of the the assembly line. man, people probably mocked and laughed at him and thought, "you are crazy to think that this would be successful." and yet, here we are today. we are recipients of the great inventions that they came through. i i have no doubt that bill gates, he may be wealthy today, but he saw poor days.

you and i both can attest that elon musk, he had to have moments when people laughed and pointed at him and said, "you'll never make it." on and on their dreams, they they began to connect and things began to happen. and now in 2026, we have computers and phones and cars and coffee and hamburgers and space flight and all that stuff. all because humanity desired to chase their dreams. i know that we could get lost in the details of those men and women who have set the pace for our world in which we live. and the truth is is that we all want the benefits of what they have dared to dream. but i i i rise today to simply tell you that when you make choices, good and bad, it can lead to some very incredible monumentous things. amen.

but if you choose to not follow your dream and you choose to sit idly by, you can watch it as it bypasses you and only somebody else who who was an entrepreneurial a mindset would pick it up and run with it. as life unfolds, so many times we see that we are surviving and then we're learning how to thrive only to find out that we go back to the survival mode. has anybody here ever been broke? >> not financially, but like broken arm. i'm joking. i'm joking. you've been broke and you really you didn't even know how to put plus and minus together only to find out that you were then blessed and provided for. yeah. something came along and woo, you rose to the top and then you declined again for some reason.

you embraced the poor lifestyle again. all because humans have the ability to choose. >> come on. that's why that's why and don't let me get sidetracked and i don't want to offend anybody today, but i don't mind. um, that's why so many play the lottery. man, if i could just hit the number one time, one time, and i could win 250 gajillion dollars. it's funny. ask them, you know, what would you do if you won? i've i've said this before from this sacred desk. i'd pay my tithe first. i mhm i'd give to the lord. i' i'd pay off my mama's house. you know, we've heard all of that, right? here's the thing. as life unfolds, you have to desire to move forward and you got to simply work at it. >> all right. can we go home now?

because you want to work and you want to invest and you want to do and you want to move forward. things can happen in your life. give me give me a moment. let me take you back to another time and another place. this is found in the bible. we'll use that today since we're in the church. joshua chapter 24 verse one. joshua g. now, this is going to be some reading today. we okay with that? it's 1:00. right back there on that clock, it says 100. so, we got time. joshua gathered all the tribes of israel to sheckchham. called for the elders of israel and for their heads and for their judges and for their officers and they presented themselves before god.

joshua said unto all the people, y'all with me thus, thus sayeth the lord god of israel, your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, everybody say old time, even terara, the father of abraham and the father of naor. and they served, say it, other gods. notice verse three. and i took your father abraham from the other side of the flood, led him throughout all the land of canaan, and multiplied his seed, gave him isaac, and i gave unto isaac jacob and esau, and i gave unto esau mount seir to possess it. but jacob and his children went down to egypt. here we go. verse five. i sent moses also and aaron. i plagued egypt according to all according, excuse me, to that which i did among them. and afterward, i brought you out.

brought out your fathers out of egypt. you came unto the sea, and the egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen under the red sea. y'all ready for it? verse 7. when they cried unto the lord, he put darkness between you and the egyptians, and brought the sea upon them, covered them, and your eyes have seen what i have done in egypt, and you dwelt in the wilderness a long season, y'all. okay, stay with me. verse eight. and i brought you into the land of the amorites which dwelt to the other side of jordan. they fought with you and i gave them into your hand that you might possess their land. i destroyed them from before you.

then bailac the son of zippor king of moab arose and wared against israel and sent and called balam and the son of bayor to curse you. but i would not hearken to balam. therefore you he blessed you still. so i delivered you out of y'all with me still out of his hand. and you went over jordan and came unto jericho. the men of jericho fought against you, the amorites, the perizzites, the canaanites, the hittite, the gegosites, the hivites, the jebusites, and i delivered them into your hand. y'all ready for the itites? and i sent, you see this? and i sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the amorites, but not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.

and i have given you the land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them, and the vineyards and all of your which you planted ye planted did do not do ye, excuse me. now verse 14 says, "now therefore the fear of the lord, fear the lord and serve him in sincerity and in truth. put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood and in egypt and serve ye the lord." verse 15, you you know this verse. it's on the wall of your house. and if it seem evil unto you to serve the lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, pause, whether the gods which your father served that were in the other side of the flood or the gods of the amorites in whose land you dwell.

but as for me and my house, >> as for me and my house, >> as for me and my house, we will serve the lord. now hang on to me a moment. joshua brought together his leaders, his ministers, the leadership council. he brought them to sheckchham. if you look at that, sheckchum by definition simply means the backup, the shoulder of the one that bears the weight.

he brings them to this place and he begins to tell them, "listen, something you need to be reminded of something about the way god has done things in the lives that you are representing here in this place right now." and joshua begins to remind them, your fathers, your grandfathers in the times past, there were choices and there were directions that they took their families to that they were able to go in and they may not have understood it. they might may not have comprehended what was happening. but on the other side, things began to happen there. all because god was leading a people to a place where he wanted them to be. he also joshua tells them god delivered them from the hand of the enemy that could have destroyed them.

it also he reminds them that there's something about the yesterday and where you come from that brings you to where you are today. and unless you forget about those things, you'll never be thankful for where you are at this moment. i spoke just a moment ago about the blessings and the provisions of god. and some of y'all raise your hand to recognize there was a time in my life when i was broke. i didn't have two dimes to rub together. i didn't know how to make a pb&j in my house. i couldn't roll down the window of my car. i'd have to open the door to order at mcdonald's. come on. some of y'all understand when your gas gauge was on empty and you didn't know how you was going to get to work the next day.

some of y'all remember back in the day when things happened in your life and you couldn't understand it. but for whatever reason, you begin to call on the name of the lord god and you begin to remember god is faithful. god is true. god is just. god doesn't fail. he knows where i am. he knows how i got here. come on. i've come to declare to somebody what we read about in the book of joshua is a simple reminder. you don't deserve what you have, but it is the grace in the hand of god that has led you to this place where you are. i rise to this podium today to tell you that all of the details about the life of joshua and what he told the people on that day, uh, what he was doing was simply reminding them.

uh, there's something about choosing to serve the lord your god. uh, there's something about making a choice that says, "i believe god is god and i choose to serve him." >> >> now, when i began to look through this in the book of joshua, i was reminded one more time, 2026. some of y'all have forgotten where you came from. you were a broken mess. you didn't know what you were going to do. pain and sorrow wrecked your life. you had made terrible choices. you were barely alive. you were fighting just to have food on the table. you believed the lies and the deceit of the enemy. you struggled to maintain a lifestyle that did not drive you under. the clothes that you wore, they were used.

the questions you had on your mind you weren't sure about. you presented yourself in a society around you and you were simply accepted because you were in the same mess that they were in. you were unhappy. you were broken. but there was something that happened uh when you came into the presence of a holy god. uh and you begin to simply speak the name jesus. i come to declare to somebody, you better go back in your mind on this sunday and remember, look what the lord has done to me. uh, i shouldn't be here today. uh, but i'm standing up in my right mind. uh, i should have done lost my way and lost my mind. uh, but look at me stand up with my hand lifted high. uh, some of y'all know what the healing power of the holy ghost can do in you.

some of y'all were racked with pain laying in a hospital bed. didn't know what was going to happen next. uh but the hand of the lord uh began to work in your life. somebody you better remember how good the god has been to you. uh how wonderful that god has been to you. i come on a sunday, brother rob, to remind us our fathers and forefathers, they fought battles. they went through all kinds of things. but it is not enough to know history. it's enough though to declare history is going to dictate what i do in the future. why? because societies and cultures have come and washed away. but those who remember the hand of the lord, they stand strong in the face of opposition, in the face of the enemy.

young people, you need to know something today. there's a reason that we come every sunday. it's not to drink coffee and rub each other's back, but it is to come and declare the whole council of god. god's on the throne and we are not. he loves me in spite of me. uh he takes care of me uh because his name is on my life. when i went down in the waters of baptism, it wasn't just to remit my sin, but it was to bury me and bring me up as a new creature in christ. >> oh, god's been good to you. >> >> god's been good to you. >> so 109, y'all. okay. >> old testamenty stuff is so cool. i i love old testament stuff. testament stuff, not testament.

because to you and i, we can look at the history and what joshua was simply doing was telling them know this, abraham, his dad, all the stuff they went through, god was with him. you do realize that abraham was not until god said, "you are." he was out of the caldes. come on. he had a whole another religion, a whole another vocabulary, a whole another letter system, a numbers, an alphabet. man, this guy was out of a whole another world. >> but god drew him out of that to a place where he could establish. god understood and knew there's going to be some things that the world's going to need to see.

and they're going to need to know that you're willing to take your prized possession, your son, and take him to a mountain and raise a knife to kill him. and only let the voice of god stop. listen to me. if you're not listening to the voice of god, you might proceed with something that you need to stop at. >> god was to come on a listen to me. i see your faithfulness. i see that you're listening to my voice. but there's generations that's coming down the road. they're going to need to know the god of abraham >> and isaac and jacob. you can't kill isaac right now. i got a plan for isaac. but i need to know, are you willing to let it die here on an altar? come on, somebody hear me.

it wasn't enough for joshua to simply remind him of that. but what you and i can draw from the book of joshua is this. that there was a generation that came before. what you and i can look at in 2026 is the fact that all these names that i mentioned a moment ago of musk and of gates and of of warren buffett, all these names i can mention, we know them maybe even as daily. come on. you can go in and read their lives of where they came from. i've come to tell you somebody. i'm sure that they weren't born coming out of the womb saying, "one of these days i'm going to be a trillionaire." i thought that, but oh granted, lord, i'm still thinking it. they simply got up with a dream.

they simply got out of bed wondering one day, i wonder if i could do make a difference. i wonder if some come on, get in there and read the lives of some of these men. it's incredible to to notice how they just simply kept going. they just simply kept going. they just simply kept going. y'all know i i enjoy that. why? because i believe in determination and understanding that if i can move forward one more step, one more step, one more step, something can happen. i'm convinced that revival in our generation and this generation is sitting in the pews right now, sitting on a chair right now in this room.

the outpouring of the holy ghost is going to be dependent on somebody's ability to say, "lord, if you can use anything, lord, you can use me." and go. so get therefore god, i'm going to give myself to prayer and supplication. i'm going to give myself to loving you and serving you. uh i'm not going to get distracted with the generation in which i live. uh but instead, lord, i'm going to put it aside and i'm going to come to you in the morning. i'm going to come to you at midday. i'm going to come to you when i'm driving down the road, when i'm sitting at my desk, when i'm on the job, lord, i'm going to speak your name. i'm gonna breathe the name jesus. and when i breathe the name, jesus, every devil in hell will tremble and shake.

uh i'm believing, god, that you're going to make a difference in my life. oh, come on, somebody. you may be facing obstacles, challenges, and trials right now, but it ain't over until it's over. i've come to tell you, revival in chattanooga sitting right here today, uh it's going to depend on somebody deciding, you know what? i'm going to get up and i'm going to make a difference in somebody and somebody in somebody in one person, in one person, in one family, in one institution, in one place. if i can make a difference in them, uh the lord god has a plan and it's going to wind them up. come on. nobody wanted to walk around in the wilderness 40 years. but it was a joshua who said, "i'm going over into a promised land." why?

because it was the plan of god to make it happen. i come to tell you to ask somebody, "do you know the perfect plan of god?" i mean, i don't i never would have thought that you'd be sitting here today. i'm sorry that i'd be standing here today. but look at you. look at you looking all nice. got a jacket on. got a tie going on. got your dew all up and slick back. y'all better be glad you didn't live in the 80s. huh? some of y'all need to ask some of these oldtimes, what does that mean? that mean my wife had to spend hours. tell me i'm lying, brother. huh? y'all ladies don't know what shoulder pads are. you men ain't wore a leisure suit and i don't you never come on.

my grandpa could eat eat lunch and go to church with the same tie don catch every bit of it. never never touch his shirt. what color shirts he got? i don't matter. look at that tie. big old knot. they can't turn your head. no, i'm just joking. i mean, this is what it is. huh? listen to me. jesus comes along. woo. and everything changes. 2 corinthians 5:17. therefore, if any man be in christ, he is a say it. come on. it's on the board over the baptistry. he is a new creature. old things are passed away. say it with me.

behold, all things are become new, and all things are of god, who hath reconciled us to himself by jesus christ, who hath given the ministry of reconciliation, to that god was in christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. verse 20, now then we are ambassadors for christ, as though god did beseech you by us. we pray you in christ said be reconciled to god. 21 for he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of god in him. come on. if you're alive in jesus christ, something is able to work in your life.

uh recognize the fact that in your mess and in all of the stuff that you're going through, you need help and his name is jesus. what your coworker needs is jesus. what your family member needs is jesus. what that guy on the street corner needs is jesus. they don't need somebody to bail him out. they don't need somebody to pat them on the back. they need jesus. if they can get jesus in their lives, the same thing that happened to you can happen to them. if you'll simply get jesus on the job, walk into walmart breathing jesus. get out of your car, go in the store breathing jesus. go to work saying, "jesus, i need you." tell your kids in the morning, "we're going to pray in jesus' name." declare the whole council of god, it's about jesus.

what am i telling you today? uh, as for me and my househ, we're going to serve the lord. uh, we're going to recognize that without him, we're nothing. uh, and there's nothing we can do beside oursel. uh, but he gives me the reconciliation unto his name. uh, therefore, i'm no longer just me. uh, but i am me in jesus. uh, and if jesus is for me, uh, tell me who can be against me. if i stand on his promises, he's real. if i wrap my arms around his blessings, he's right. if i understand the things of god, then i believe my father's forefathers, grandfathers, they did what they did. uh but the generation in which i'm standing, it's up to me to believe. as for me in my house, uh we're going to serve the lord.

>> god has some great, incredible promises for those who will believe. is it any wonder that our world's in a mess? huh? come on. did we really think that things would be different? every generation has brought a whole a whole mess with them. man, i've again my mind works a little awkward. i i thought about the the way that the people of god in the old testament, man, they they had to wait for god to move. is the pillar moving? no. okay. is the cloud moving? no. we'll wait. did the fire is it? no. okay. come on. you you understand? and you go through the biblical history and you find out that when god begin to move, the people would begin to shift with that. am i right?

>> you and i stand here today and all you have to do is simply breathe the name jesus and every devil begins to tremble. >> jesus, i don't have to wait for you to move. i can speak your name and the power of your name will change everything. >> some of you today have brought into this room a whole world of hurt because you feel like that you have walked into the mess by yourself and somehow you're going to have to fix it before you can let god in. i've come to tell you that's a lie from the enemy. you can speak the name jesus and he show i'm here. i've been always been here. i've been waiting on you to trust me. i've been waiting on you to call on my name.

well, what can jesus do that no one i he can come in right now and speak peace into your mess? >> hallelujah. >> he can come in and find every piece of brokenness that you've laying on the ground because you've been trying your best to put it back together. god can walk in. the lord jesus can come in and say, "i see all of it and i can put it all together for you." some of you, your homes are in such disarray because you're trying to fix it and all you're doing is making it worse. you need jesus to show up in your house. some of you, your jobs are in torment and chaos because you don't take jesus there with i come to tell you who who are you going to serve? who are you going to serve? who are you going to serve?

because the bottom line is simply this. i come on a sunday afternoon to tell somebody, as for me in my house, we're going to serve the lord. and if jesus christ has got a way for you, he's got a way to work things in your life, why don't you let him? >> amen. i i'm convinced that so many times we don't we don't walk into the blessings of god because we want to understand them before we accept them. i will assure you of one thing. henry ford had no idea that he would revolutionize the world when he said, "let's put this car on a pattern." he was just simply coming up with an idea. hey, can we do the same thing? the same thing? the same thing? the same thing? the same thing? the same thing? the same thing? the same thing?

yeah, let's call it an assembly line. sounds good. i'm convinced that a ray croc had no idea what was about to happen when the double arches began to show up all over the world. you know what? one of these days, i'm going to have about 50 bajillion of these things and i'm going to have everybody everybody's going to call them that. you you can listen to me. i say this is amazing to me. you can go to burger king, wendy's, or whatever. and if you order chicken nuggets, what are you gonna call them? can i get a mcnugget meal? tell me. that's what i still do. everybody in the restaurant knows. gotcha. like, sorry. it's chicken bun. no, it's mcnuggets. huh?

if you ask your child right now, mom, dad, if you ask your child to go to the counter or go to the cabinet in the kitchen and get a get a plastic bag with like you what what do you call it? can you bring me a walmart bag? although it may say dollar general, it might say target, whatever you saw. can you bring a walmart? but there's a there's a there's a precedent set there. i i got a saw in my in my garage, brother daniel. made by milwaukee. but guess what i call it? skill saw. it's not a skill. it's a milwaukee, but there's a precedent set. come on, somebody. come on, somebody. what would it be like if all of a sudden people would say, "you know what? they're not of the church. they're of the apostolic church.

they're of the name of jesus church. they're those come on. they used to call them crazy holar roll holy rollers. and they used to laugh and mock and wonder. now you got every church out there trying their best to add pentecost to their name because there's something oo something by the name of jesus. if you just speak the name jesus, something begins to happen. mountains begin to shake. come on. you speak the name jesus on your job and things begin to transpire. speak jesus in the schoolhouse. things begin to happen. i come to tell you why. because there's something about the name of jesus. so i ask you today, who are you going to serve? uh who are you going to run after? where are your dreams and your passions going to show up?

are they going to show up whenever you finally retire one day and decide, "oh, i'm at a place now where i can." why don't you decide today? i'm going to serve the lord. i'm going to pray in the midnight hour. i'm going to pray early in the morning. i'm going to tell my children without jesus we're nothing. i'm going to tell my children with jesus we're everything. why? because there's something about the power of a risen savior. and today i rise to this pullpit to tell somebody, you better remember what's happened in the past. uh but don't let that simply decide your future. you decide right now, i'm coming into the place called heaven. he went to prepare a place for me so that where he is, i can be with him also.

therefore, i choose this day to serve the lord. i'm going to love him when it doesn't make sense. i'm going to love him when everything's clicking in place. i'm going to love him when i don't know what else to say or do. i'm going to love him in front of the good times. i'm going to declare his name when i don't know what else to say. and when i get to the end of the day, i'm going to thank him because it's all about jesus. who you going to serve? what are you teaching your children to serve? stand with me, would you please? all over this room, what are you showing your children? i i know. i know. i realize and i've i've had to make concerted effort to not do this, but i feel so compelled.

my 2-year-old grandbaby, last two weeks ago, i was with her, she had a little little thing on her finger, richard, a little cut. it wasn't much, but it was to her. it was huge. in fact, my wife had to take a band-aid and cut it down to fit the little finger. and she put the little band-aid on there, and this is how she walked around. you got to be careful. and she that big. she crawls up in my lap and daddy poppy gave her something to drink and she looks i said, "baby, did you hurt?" listen to me. did you hurt your yes, poppy. pray for poppy. now, what do you think i did? no way. why would i do that? that's silly. that notion is just crazy. is that what i would have said? i said, "baby, that's all i got. jesus. jesus.

she don't even know right now all of heaven's at attention. >> she don't even recognize right now all of hell is running sc trying to find a place to hide. why? because if i speak the name jesus, something happens. >> i'm afraid that in our modern culture, we've forgotten the power of the name of jesus. we suffer and we hurt and we're broken and we're busted because jesus is standing there saying, "if you'll just ask me, >> and let me >> i can work in that situation." this little booger over here, man, he's something else. i get to talk about him now because his mommy got tired of me talking about her. i love to hold him while we're praying. he's looking around. got his finger. you know, that's him.

this morning, i noticed while i was holding him in prayer, he's staring at my face and my mouth. he don't know it yet, but every angel in heaven is standing there around us. jesus, jesus, jesus. and there's going to come a day when he's going to feel the shikina glory of god as it begins to work in his life. and he's going to discover something something by the name of jesus. something about the name of jesus. oh, how i love the name jesus. ask you again on a sunday afternoon. it's 126. who you going to serve? please don't be don't be misunderstanding right now and think that if you speak jesus all the suffering and sorrow goes away but he's with you every step. how i love the name jesus.
