pray with me church which our Lord one more time we gather in this place hungry and thirsty for you we desperately need you today Jesus the hearts and the lines Lord we are thirsty for your word as a deer panteth for the WaterBrook lord we search for you today Oh God there are hungry hearts you today Lord we need man today I make myself available to you once again Jesus desperately Lord I need your power hallelujah to the name of the Lord hallelujah to the name of Jesus hallelujah hallelu come on lift your voice to him I love you I need you Jesus thank you save hallelujah thank you to our singers and musicians always to those involved in our services thank you so much for your involvement in the kingdom you can be seated today feel like you need to just so you know this Wednesday night there will not be service here cornerstone you need to be with your family and friends enjoying their fellowship don't forget Luke to read that read the story pass it on to your children then we'll be back in here though next Sunday loving the Lord serving him twelve o'clock there's no Sunday school there is fifth Sunday and that means what food fellowship after service sister Wendy's going to be yes ma'am everybody let us know if you're gonna be around that doesn't mean tall that means around yeah that's gonna be a great day they're always great fellowship he-men and enjoyment on that day sister Wendy thank you so much she's heading that up for is that's next Sunday and then we'll be right into 2020 and that exciting okay figure that out later I suppose thank you brother drama coming nearer to the day the worldwide celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ we call it Christmas it's a time of families friends fellowship gathering together there's food there's talk there's laughter time to make memories a time to talk about the old ones and I know I reflect about this often in the month of December because quite honestly it's the most wonderful time of the year it's a great great time Luke chapter 2 the Bible tells us in verse number 4 and Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judaea under City of David which is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and lineage of David to be taxed verse 5 says with Mary his espoused wife and being great with child so it was that while they were there the days were accomplished that she should be delivered and verse 7 and she brought forth her firstborn son wrapped him in swaddling clothes laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn verse 8 says and there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night and lo the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them they were so afraid the angel said unto them fear not for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all all people verse 11 for unto you Is Born This Day in the City of David a savior which is Christ the Lord this shall be a sign unto you verse 12 says you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly hosts praising God and saying glory to God in the highest and on earth peace goodwill toward men this is the greatest of all accounts I wish I wish you would if you can muster it up and say it with me good tidings of great joy good tidings of great joy not just to a certain group not just to a lineage not just to a right name or a right tribe or a right country or nation but shall be to all of the people what was happening is a savior had come into this world a baby that literally changed everything I want to take a moment today on this Sunday before our Christmas time I want to look a little deeper into a couple of pieces here if you'll allow me an angel had spoken to an old man he was an old priest name of Zacharias and he informed him while he was doing his duties in the temple that his wife Elizabeth was going to have a son it's a prophetic word and in a way very greatly and very heavy on the man he so much that he really couldn't comprehend it therefore he was silenced not to complain or to say anything until the angel would release his tongue how is it possible that an old couple if you will could have a baby how is it possible that this could even happen in humanity in the midst of everything that was transpiring understand also that an angel had also visited a young girl speaks prophesy over her she submits to it and according to the story we read in Luke chapter 2 she gave birth to a son as well she should not have ever been able to do that but through the Holy Ghost anointing through the purity of a relationship with God something very distinct happened to her I realized that the old couple should have never been able to have a child I know also a young virgin should have never been able to give birth two completely different scenarios an older and a young unbelievable on any side yet the Angels had declared that it would happen so the clock begins to turn time begins to pass and lo and behold the elder lady has her son his father Zacharias by declaration of an angel simply said when his tongue was loosed his name shall be called John so very unorthodox it was not in his bloodline it was not in his family name make up if you will a male child normally would follow after another male name in the family but in this case prophecy overrode everything listen to me carefully what God had established would be and no matter what anybody said against the impossibilities it happened like it was supposed to happen just six months later there's an even more intriguing event that happened somehow a young lady proposed it was supposed to marry this guy they traveled by an animal into the man's homeland just to fulfill the law of a census and for such a great long journey they came to the City of David and her time to deliver the baby comes there's no family around to help there's no support system in place there's not a real bed to lay down on there's no real doctor nor nurse to call - there's no fanfare in all of the hubbub there's no anticipating families waiting in a waiting room there was only animals and hey notice that God completed the steps that he put in order the exact way he said he would do it nothing removed nothing left out the story that we recount every year is a story that's an incredible story to look at but as we proceed forward and we see the events unfolding in that day John and Jesus grew up in two completely different surroundings John with a purpose from God Jesus with his purpose from the beginning both had jobs to do y'all stay with pastor on this Christmas message so as we read in the scriptures we can see that while Jesus was attached to a great family that he had siblings that have come they would go to the temple they would do fellowship they would relate with other people John on the other hand was in a state of growth and learning while living in a place of separation in a desert and wilderness experience John's lifestyle is more what you would call barbaric or even rustic he was wearing animal skins he was eating creatures in the field there was something that was happening in Jesus and there was something transpiring in John all of them growing and maturing but both of them exactly in the plan of an Almighty God we see Jesus at age 12 listen to it in the midst of the teachers in the smart men he was discussing the prophecies of old and the Bible says they were astonished and his wisdom all the while John's in the back side of nowhere eating beans and bugs and anything with no excitement but he was communing with God in a very simple and a convicting lifestyle I bring you to this point today of two very distinct very different connections very different calls of God for purpose if you will but simply to say that angels were not there when John was born and came into the world it was a simple here he is this is his name no even though we look at the animals table and we wonder why was Jesus born that way it was because of the design of a holy God the prophetic would not fall by the wayside Jesus was destined for heaven but John was destined to die before heaven could ever be fully understood we know that John came out of the wilderness with a message that shook the then-known world if I might add in 2019 it still shakes the world repent repent he came as a voice crying in the wilderness why because his message was so startling different repentance was not a familiar term turning away from a lifestyle of sin and destruction was not an easy thing to do 2019 I've come to tell you our world needs to hear repentance now more than ever before it's not a popular word I don't want to have to be sorry for what I'm doing I don't want to have to feel godly sorrow from my actions and activities but one thing is for sure when John came out of the wilderness he was preaching so loud and strong that even the religious folk of the day we're standing there sky Thunderhead say who is this guy John got nothing to lose y'all better repent because something bad to happen that you don't understand so great was the message of John you read all through the New Testament and then how were you baptized onto John's baptism what do you know that I know about John who do they say I am some say you're John but do you know on and on it goes that's this John job something happening baptism by water in a land that had very little water was a very interesting account of why that was even possible yet John preached both to the religious and to the rebellious John ministered he reached he didn't care about the then-known world in the circumstance that they were in he was simply on a journey that was designed by a holy God that's why when he preached he'd say it you're a snake your mama's a snake your daddy's a snake you come from a generation of them you better turn your life around or you'll never make heaven your home Jesus we can read about in the accounts of Matthew and Luke yeah yeah Jesus we read in Matthew and in Luke and in other accounts here in the Gospels how that he is reaching multitudes with his message John had baptized Jesus to fulfill the prophecy that was spoken up and in Matthew chapter 3 verse number 11 the verse is very very very powerful I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance but he that cometh after me is mightier than I whose shoes I am not worthy to bear he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire john was unworthy to even bend down and loosen the shoes of jesus but yet he's the one that was ordained to baptize the Lamb of God what an incredible story I'm standing here today simply telling you when John was doing his job Jesus was doing his job but we bring to a point here John now according to the New Testament story John the preacher John the Baptizer he is now incarcerated he's been locked up in a prison because Princess Herodias wants him dead and he's in a jail cell now no real joy that's unspeakable no real fool of glory no real piano nor organ or guitar nor drums or bass to get him wound up he simply put away because some princess says you have tried to defy my father and the gods that we worship therefore we're on a silence you understand he now begins to hear rulers that come across the roadway into the jail cell that he's in there's one out there that's doing some pretty incredible things there's a man out there that's accomplishing some pretty credible things you wouldn't believe it if you saw it and John sitting there in all of what he's been through in this prison cell he gathers to himself through the window if you will and he begins to shout to some of his followers I need somebody to go and find out about Jesus after all that John had been through Jesus was doing some incredible things lives were being changed Healing was happening infirmities were going away he was even raising the dead he was even feed in the the twos with a handful of provisions and notice John is in a prison so Matthew chapter 11 verse number one believe it or not this is a Christmas message today and it came to pass Matthew eleven and one when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities now when John verse 2 says had heard in the prison the works of Christ he sent two of his disciples and said unto Him art thou he that should come or do we look for another are you the one that we've been looking for or should the search continue are you the one Jesus that I've been learning about while on the backside of the desert or do we need to continue the search once Jesus had heard the questions he simply referred to the followers of John and he said listen you need to understand something I know where John is right now I realize where John is right now but verse number four in Chapter 11 of Matthew Jesus answer said unto them you go and you show John again those things which you do hear and see how the blind receive their sight the lame walk the lepers are cleansed the Deaf their hearing the dead are being raised up the poor have the gospel preached to them and blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in me look what happened at the hand of Jesus and now John in a jail cell is listening to what's happening I stand here today on this Christmas message day and I declare to you an unequivocal and unarguable and no way you could ever come against it from the mental truth that there is none greater than Jesus so if you're here today and you have the question that comes to your mind help me Josh should we look for another I declare the council the Lord from this podium no my friend there is no other it's not gonna get better than Jesus not gonna be greater miracles than what Jesus could do your life doesn't need another Savior you've already got one should you look for another no you've already got cheese sucks there is none greater then Jesus there's no other can do what this man can do there's no other message worth telling there's no other Jesus worth talking about it is Jesus that we need if you're not sure of your future if you are tired and exhausted of your past then I've come to tell you today there is no other like Jesus you can turn from your wicked life and you can again fall upon your face and repent to a holy God that has the only capability of forgiving you of your sins the scripture gives us the clear indication Old Testament to New Testament Genesis to Revelation it is his way in his way only he's the one who set it into motion he authored it he will finish him he started it he will complete it there's nothing outside of him except him there's nothing beside him except him you can look to your left and your right and there's a whole lot of folk that will give you false counsel but who does she look - who here did he counsel when he put the Stars into their place with whom did he counsel when the planets got flung into their location with whom did he look at when your life was falling apart and he stepped in and picked you up and put you on the right path it was nobody but himself Calvary was a gift to humanity I've come today to tell somebody if you're looking for something better honey ain't ain't gonna get there it's all in the name of Jesus there's healing in his name there's glory in his name there's victory in his name there's truth in his name power in his name there's love in his name it's all about the name of Jesus stand with me please I realize that we live in a real a real intelligent world we've got so much information at our fingertips so many things you can blink you can think and it'll happen agreed is anybody in this building know exactly where the pictures are that you took yesterday from your phone anybody at all they're not on your phone they're where where's that Smarties where and yet we're all very comfortable whipping our phone out at any given moment and snapping a picture and knowing full well that we got it some where we're not sure how we're not sure why we just know that it works and in our hearts and minds we've settled on that account but some of y'all today are dealing with such garbage and junk because you're afraid to repent and ask God to forgive you of sins and you're carrying them around because you don't understand exactly how God works you'll trust your crazy phone with your picture but you won't trust a Heavenly Father with your life listen friend there ain't no way to get out earth except through the name of Jesus there's no other way to walk on heaven streets of gold except the name of Jesus you looking for another Savior you go look and you keep looking but as for me I've determined there is no other he came to me he saved me he changed my life I believe it because the word says it and it's settled as far as I'm concerned some of y'all been dragging a box around for months and years even if I could just find somebody who could help me with this you're leavin coming to the church house dragging that box look here what I got I got a messed up I got problems I got I knew somebody that could fix all of this out my would believe in them fine you tell me you google it you can see it if you want you who can change everything in my world are you looking for another I've come to tell you you know what John had a settle sitting in a jail cell brother Gibson there's nobody else out there do you want to know why that when we read the account of Jesus standing there looking at the followers of John he says to them simply this come here man I want to show you something here you see that young man over there he was sick he had a disease that every doctor in town had turned him away I simply spoke to the disease and it was dried up you tell John that you see that one walking right there she couldn't even get out of her bed for months and years she was struggling with an infirmity I simply looked at the infirmity blinked an eye and spoke now she's yeah you go tell John that hey can I get real with somebody today I know somebody that don't deserve to be standing here today cuz she had a stroke ten years ago but God stepped in and said now you run tell somebody that can God heal a body you better know he can I come to tell somebody God's been doing some stuff in your life there is only one Jesus his name is Jesus if you'll repent of your sins if you'll take on Jesus name in Baptism he will fill you with his spirit and everything in your life will change will change it'll change you don't have to hunt for another one you don't have to wonder if there's more better out there you can simply breathe the name Jesus in the midnight hour at new time and any other time and his power works John you need to know something for him everything that Jesus is doing it's exactly what the Lord God told you in the wilderness by yourself I want to say this I don't want to contradict anybody's theology but I got a feeling that John sitting in that jail I don't think he was at all worried I think what John was confirmed with was good food I think what John was confirming was simply this followers of me listen carefully you go ask Jesus if we need to look for you go ask there's those followers Jesus John sent us over here is there somebody else as it matters it or no she just said let me tell you what I look what I've done look what I've done look what I've done look what I did look what I accomplished now you go and tell John and when they went back to John what do you think that they shared with him hey John buddy I never seen piece of bread and fish feed multitude John and the jail cell his followers outside maybe yelling through the window yeah there was a lady there she has she's sitting in a wheelchair because she was she was come to every day to there and I opened my eyes and there she in all of a sudden boom she's up and out of it and wheelchair gone and all yeah John I saw that man and John behind the wall leaned up against it tears running down his face hands lifted to heaven I believe that you've completed he is here I want my followers to now begin to follow after him so that when they hear the message of the power of repentance and the power of baptism in the name not just to repentance but the name of Jesus they'll know beyond the shadow of a doubt Jesus is the real deal and as John sits in his jail cell what'd he say followers he said look what we look what's going on look what's happening yes yes yes yes it's him brother follow him run and follow him go after him go after him but John they're gonna kill you I know it I've come today to tell somebody in this Christmas message there's no reason to look for any other it is still the name of Jesus this altar is open right now for anyone and everyone ready to pray and worship the only one true Living God his name is Jesus brothers are on place something would you I want you to come Church what you come and pray it might be that you don't you don't understand it it could be you're new to it and you don't realize the power of repentance I want you to know that Jesus Christ can't forgive you of your sins yes he can come on do you need to look for another no it is not it is Jesus only it is him it is him it is his power it is his truth it is his word come on young folk you need to be praying right now come on mom and dad you need to be calling on the name of the Lord right now that's right come on if you don't know him in the power of his resurrection today is your day right now is your time come on should we look for another no there is no other there is no other there is no other only Jesus can satisfy your soul yeah they should be heard about go tell the other huh come on somebody believe in his healing power believe in his saving power believing it's delivering power come on that's right pray Church pray that's right that's right that's right Jesus Jesus only he can do it only he came to this world to change us only his blood only his power only his name can change how about pray somebody I believe in you Jesus I trust in your come on you can repent your sins right now Jesus forgive me but I want to turn away from my sinful life from the wrong that I do I want to turn to you come on that's right pray Lord Jesus I need you only you can forgive me of sins only you can wash me only you can cleanse me only you have the power Jesus come on you see somebody close you needs prayer reach over pray with them come on let the prayer faith heal the sick right now come on let the prayer somebody come on somebody needs to get in touch with the Lord today somebody's hungry for the Word of God right now come on they try believing I love your Lord trusting you Jesus he loved a show tell you LM on door I tell ya let you hear they don't know the name the name of the Lord come on pray for someone else get a hold of somebody our Lord I believe you for it I believe you can make a difference in their lives I believe you can raise them out victorious Jesus and I believe your Lord you can do anything Jesus you have the power Lord you have the ability Lord you can do great things in their life Jesus oh that's right come on pray should we look for another now there is no other his name is Jesus his name is Jesus oh yeah won't everybody get close to somebody families gather around each other right now come on it's just Sunday before Christmas time we're gonna pray one for another we're gonna pray for each other as a family come on that's right get a hold of somebody come on get a hold of somebody in the name of Jesus that's right come on everybody needs somebody come on reach out don't be afraid of them they're family you might not like them right now but you might in a few minutes I want you to pray there's nobody else can help you like Jesus can there's no one else that can change your life nobody can heal and deliver like the blood of Jesus camp right now pray one for another come on come on pray for your family come on speak their names out loud to heaven right now that's right don't be embarrassed don't be ashamed of it come on they need to know as they pray for you that you're praying for them the name of Jesus the name of Jesus he sure yell em on the yellow baccara come on that's right they need to know that faith is in your life and that God is working because you're praying come on I need you to pray for me you need me to pray for you hallelujah hallelujah worthy worthy worthy is your name Lord word to get your name come on pray Church come on pray I love you Jesus there's no other God there's no other power save your power only you can only you will only you want to come on pray for your brother right now pray for your sister pray for your mom and dad your aunt oh come on pray for them come on have faith that God can work on their behalf oh yes Lord I'm trusting you for it yes Lord I'm believing you for it yes Lord I am you alone are God you alone are able now begin to worship and love the Lord together thank him right now come on just take him lord I thank you I love you I believe in you I rejoice in you no other no other no other only you Jesus only you Jesus hallelujah to the lamb of God hallelujah glorify your name just thankful you know the name Jesus it's not you glad you know the name Jesus so thankful you all came to the house of the Lord today God is doing some incredible things if we'll simply open our eyes and realize it want to say something and I want you to understand my heart and where I'm coming from some of you are doing some really silly things because you're trying to figure out what God's doing and you're trying to submit yourself to it and it's very difficult because God's challenging you you may not know how to respond to react but I want you to know you can do what God is telling you to do listen carefully now many of you might consider that to be a preaching or teaching or no I'm just simply I want you saved because if I were to ask you point-blank look you dead in your eye right now and simply ask would you go to heaven or hell if you died right now some of you could not answer some of you could not answer and as calm as you might be able to consider it as together as you might think your life is without Jesus you got zero hope you better get things together with God and realize Lord if I don't have you in the front in the behind and left and right inside I don't know if I'm gonna make it or not but with you God I can I can enjoy coming to the house of the Lord I can enjoy getting out of bed in the morning pray even in my darkest hour I don't have to wonder are you real or not I'll know it because you're revealing it to me every day I'm gonna speak a word I want you to understand something God has the answers for every single one of us in here amen can I be your pastor for a moment stop doing stupid things submit to the things of God and watch the glory of the Lord open up in your life Jesus I thank you for our time together today I love you I thank you Lord for the church family thank you for my family that you're giving my wife and my daughter my son daughter-in-law thank you for me I thank you Lord for a church family that believes in the miraculous Lord right now today we come together in prayer and praise believing you Lord for great things honor every family that's ears we go about our week this week let us keep you always first and foremost in our minds and hearts and in our homes as we celebrate Lord the birth of the greatest miracle ever known to man you come into this world Jesus I pray an anointing would rest upon every home we're gonna come back next week Lord loving and rejoicing in you by leaving you Lord for a great year to come in 2020 thanking you Lord for 2019 we love you we believe you and we trust you with our lives and we worship you in every situation in Jesus name we pray keep us and protect us Lord I pray amen
