hallelujah come on love the Lord would you lift your voice to him come on lift your voice to the Lord I love you today Jesus hallelujah would you pray with me right now Lord God we thank you for the opportunity to be here today thank you Lord for the power of worship for the joy of the Lord that has strength to us today thank you Jesus feel this place oh god I pray one more time I make myself available to you Jesus Jesus Jesus we won't changed by the power of the Cross today in Jesus name we pray hallelujah thank you singers and musicians how they Lou you any good to be in the house of the Lord today you can be seated if you feel like you need to so thankful for the Grace and the goodness of the Lord amen God is still in control still on the throne it's still very aware of where we are and he cares and he knows to our guests again I welcome you if this is your first time at Cornerstone we're glad you're here I've been here before we're so glad you're back and if you're a home folk Thank You patience everybody say that word with me patients say with me again patients waiting there you go let's all say that word together can't we waiting some of you are waiting for me to go on right some of you are wondering what patience is all about at church come on don't you realize the line that the restaurants going to back up patience waiting knowing anticipating words that with a long list of meanings it depends on your perspective when you talk about those words agreed for an example for some patience is simply the line at the drive-through it's about how long your patience lasts others say that patience is like like meeting up with old friends that you haven't seen for a long while and and you see them and you go right back in to talking to them you're patient about it still there are some that consider patience to simply be a nuisance and an obstacle to somehow try to work around everybody say that word again patience patience I'm reminded and I'm sure probably most of you are reminded but that's kind of like the guy that pulls into a gas station on a corner as if he's going to stop and get gas but he drives out the other side because he doesn't want to wait for the light to change if that's you talking about you patience or or like the one who's standing there folding clothes from the dryer while waiting on their spouse to get their shoes on patience see it's a word for the Gibson I can use in various aspects and some of you right now are very impatient with pasture some of you got out of bed this morning and your patience was this thin some of you have used the old grandma scenario you see this right here that is my last love and nerve and you are right on top of it you know I'm talking about because patience wears thin it's a trait that everyone has to some degree and that is patience now patience is not a nice word it's not unless again you look at it instantly when you say the word be patient does a smile come to your face well I be patient or if you do get through the drive-through and you pull up to the thing and nobody's talking on it use hello it's always amazing to me I appreciate your patience and I'm like how did you even know I had patients out here because you knew because I had to wait that I was using my patience up but we all understand and we know that we want it now huh no delay no tricks no sideswipe no sleight of hand but for whatever reason patience shows up in a life now as I was pondering this concept of patience and and I'm looking at it the thought turns into my mind and it is fact is if I am patient could it be that instead of patience I should consider the possibilities of where I am stay with me for a moment because if I wait for something to actually happen once it finally takes shape and then it begins to grow into a full-fledged actual something the process of using patience now all of a sudden turns into a good thing for an example how many are glad that your children were born go ahead how many wish they were born twenty years old patience is a good thing huh how many understand what April 15th is besides my birthday and James birthday it is the tax aren't you glad that with patience on April the 16th you can wait an entire year before you have to worry about it patience or what about when there's some kind of some kind of something going on in your body and you go to the to the doctor and the tests are made and you're simply sitting there waiting on results and your patient about it how many are hopeful when the doctor walks through the door that finally I get an answer or how many would simply like to sit there and not hear it patients I stand here today to simply relay to you an important concept of allowing something to take place in your life that God is in control of if we hurry the process of God if we are always looking for the short trip if we are constantly wishing it was over then we would miss the concepts and principles that God is trying to help us understand in the waiting will it be worth it does it have to take so long is there not a faster way those are all phrases and thoughts that we have all encountered they're very well-meaning those questions are but isn't there a plan in the waiting I mean truth is is that part of it is the journey of waiting allow me if you will for just a moment to help you understand ask Hannah if it is worth the waiting first Sami reveals a heartbroken woman she could have no children she would cry and ask God but still no baby year after year a friends and family members would go they would rejoice and they would celebrate his family but Hannah had none she went to the church house and it was there that she poured out her heart yet nothing happened and then she had an encounter with the man of God and at that moment she made her plea once again First Samuel chapter 1 verse 20 simply says this wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hanna had conceived that she bare a son and called his name Samuel saying because I have asked him of the Lord now we have the history of King David being anointed but the history of Hannah's patience with God is another story altogether when she finally had this child understand where pastor's coming from today she would say to you it was worth the waiting Hanna what do you think about it I cried I went I screamed I wailed I begged I pleaded I sacrificed I fasted I prayed I asked I looked for God I wanted I hoped I had I I dealt with the shame and the reproach and I prayed and I asked and I pleaded and I sought God and all of a sudden God answers and God moved Hannah was it worth it yes it was may I continue today ask Joshua if it was worth the waiting after a long journey of crossing the Jordan River the people of God came into Canaan land the promised place if you will we read an account here that manna that God had promised to the people of God for for their sustenance each day it was dried up and it quit falling from heaven no longer would the heavens open and the provision could fall from the sky but the Bible tells us in this story that they came to the land of Gilgal and it was there that Joshua under the word of the Lord he circumcised the men in the camp and he prepared them to be under the Covenant of Abraham as they faced the city of Jericho it appeared to be a daunting ask remember from remember with me if you will that all the ones that were over a certain age died over on the other side it was the younger ones that came over and years later after the roaming through the desert after the walking in circles if you will that they are facing the greatest challenge now standing in the land of promise Joshua chapter 6 verse number one says it like this now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel none went out none came in and the Lord said unto Joshua see I have given thee given into thine hand Jericho and the king thereof and the mighty men of valor Joshua had been told that the city of Jericho was his all they had to do was follow the command of God stay with me for a moment today friend all they had to do was walk around the city six days one time a day no word spoken nothing to be said walking in silence waiting patiently to obtain the promise of God and then on the seventh day they were again instructed walk around it now six times no words nothing to be said but on the seventh lap around the city I want you to shout with your voice I want you to praise God like never before every kind of noise you can muster up I want you to get it out of your body why because God is fulfilling the promise can I tell somebody today that the laws of the city of Jericho fell down flat why because the people of God waited patiently for the things of God to come to pass I wonder sometimes I I don't mind telling you in my mind why was it that God required them to walk silently around the walls of this great big city well I've come today to declare to you that I believe beyond the shadow of a doubt that God was working out every single detail stay with me could it be that the god of glory knew these kids these children of mine they don't know what it's like to construct big walls in big cities now their parents and grandparents knew what it was like to mash out a brick but they don't know what I want them to do is walk around the wall of the city with their mouths closed I want them to inspect the way that these stones are stacked one upon another I want them to notice how the scenes were made how they were put together in place the wall of the city was wide and it was big but could it be that God knew if they're raining and complaining if their belly aching got their mouth open instead of their hearts open they'll never get the lesson that I'm trying to teach them but they need to know 6 days looking at the wall I don't know why I can't talk what oh look how that seam is right there I wonder how they chiseled that out oh it took its whole look how big this said I'm not saying nothing I'm not doing anything I am simply following what the man of God has said to me but on the seventh day they had already declared when the shout comes I'm gonna scream as loud as I can I tell somebody today God knew exactly what he was doing and he established with Joshua and those men you need to do what I tell you to do and patiently realize I've already given you the city listen God knew exactly how to establish everything that needed to be established we know that God could have simply breathed and the whole thing fell apart but what lesson would there have been for the people of God if they did not learn how to simply trust God in the waiting see the wall fell down flat and Joshua told them straight way you go right in front of you where you're standing and you climb over the rubble and you come to the city God's given us the king God's given us the mighty men of valor in this city but first God wants us to see what this walls about somebody today under the sound of the preachers voice you're walking around a wall and you're kicking the wall and you're asking the wall to move and you're begging God get this obstacle out of my way oh wow God's saying huh why don't you just close your mouth and learn to trust why don't you learn in the waving in the patiently waiting aspect of this particular situation that do you happen to think that I got everything under control would you ever happen to think that I've already got an answer on the other side oh you've got to do is trust that I know what's going on a friend of mine there is power in patience because when they went straight way in the only thing that was establish with the people of God was this there's gonna be a house built on the outside of that inner wall and when you see the red cord hanging out of the window you're gonna know friend that's that one Rahab that says I got 2 spies a God in my house but the word and the promise of God is here therefore I'm gonna be spared my life's gonna be spared does anybody know the lineage of Jesus Christ uh she happened to be a part of it why because she patiently waited Oh God Joshua was it worth it man you don't even know oh you don't even know you have no way of understanding how much it was worth Simeon was it wait was it worth waiting on Simeon was it worth being patient over he waited he looked he watched he listened he inquired he wondered he worshipped and then Luke chapter 2 verse 25 behold there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon same man was just in devout waiting for the consolation of Israel Holy Ghost was upon him it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ came by the spirit in the temple when the parents brought in the Child Jesus to do for him after the custom of the law he took him up in his arms he blessed him and he said Lord now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace according to thy word for mine eyes have seen thy salvation which thou has prepared before the face of all people a light to lighten the Gentiles and the glory of thy people Israel Simeon was it worth it I wonder today has a old man daily going in and doing his work daily reading this word daily understanding the Spirit of God was prompting and pushing and pulling and allowing him to enquire and to look and to think and to study and to to know what was happening can only imagine could only imagine when he walked into the church that day and he saw this young couple walking through the door with this baby can I touch may I hope I've waited so long for this salvation has come I thought I would die and it'd go away I started to fail to believe the promise of God but yet I see and I hold it now I can go now I can go thank you for fulfilling your word patience is not an easy waiting is so difficult trusting is so hard in moments everything is so distracting everything is so pulling and pushing in trying to change hurry hurry run run and all the while we understand the word of the Prophet says in Isaiah 40 verse number 31 but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as Eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint I wonder today in your waiting I wonder today in your patience what is God what does God do where is God leading you why would he bring you here now you've passed you destroyed you you should have taken your own life look what God's doing you that's right I don't know why I know why because patiently we wait on him I come today to say to you that there's a lot of things that I would love to see at Cornerstone my wife and I we spend a lot of time talking about cool stuff that doesn't need to be repeated because I'd be mad I don't mind telling you this today this this morning I was reminded of our first service here at Cornerstone when my daughter and my son along with Devin were the only young people in this church look around kids I was reminded even this morning that having prayer time was very difficult we used to have 24-hour prayer chains 15 people all right I'll take from 3 to 7 ok plug me in at 7 I'll go against to 12 its way it was pastor that's silly no cuz I don't mind telling you there were times into my third hour of prayer on a prayer chain that the sweet Spirit of God would rest in this house and if I would have hurried out the first hour I would have missed what God was saying to me some of you sitting here you are looking for the miracle of God to work in your life but you won't wait for it and so you go out and you muster up anything and everything you can to try to make it happen and all you're doing is making a mess I'm convinced that if Joshua would have gotten in a hurry he could have taken that city of Jericho by simply running through the door and saying God gave me you King and gave me you men of valor so you come out and you deal to me but God's Way wasn't that way God said I want you to check out the city first I want you to know what you're about to get into I want you to understand where this is coming from therefore when the wall of the city fell there was an impossibility that simply became possible at there waiting there is no way there is no way that Hanna would have ever known that the vision of Eli was growing dim and that salvation needed to come there's no way she would have known that she simply said to God hey I want a child God if you give him to me I'll give him back to you and it was that young Samuel that climbed out of his little bunk in the wee hours that went to the Prophet and said did you call me nobody I didn't go back to bed are you sure you didn't call me mm-hmm and then the last words of wisdom if you will that Eli could have spoken on that third visit in the wee hours he says bud that's not me but if you hear it again you say yes Lord what you got no one Behold sleeping next to a dead vision the hand and the vision of God comes into a young man and says Samuel get up buddy we know what the two boys of Eli had done studying thinking they were ready to destroy everything but patiently God was working I knew today's service would be very different than what some of us hoped for and I felt it in here in our 12 o'clock prayer time this opposition of push anybody else feel that didn't do anybody else and as I prayed I said God the reason for this word is because I am 100% convinced that when you begin to work in the hearts and lives of your people that we can become very frustrated and aggravated at what's not happening instead of realizing what all is I mean listen to me carefully and I'm watching the clock sister Gibson would you come listen to me carefully if you got everything you ever wanted and hope for and God answered it and God gave it to you you could be technically called a spoiled brat because you would not appreciate any of it but I don't mind telling you friend anybody here ever run out of gas before your car who'd you call who'd you call Cody I've run out of gas before pre cellphone got no way to call there was two guys happened to be in the truck with me that day that was Tom and Jerry Tom and Jerry say guess what guys we got to go get gas how we gonna get there you're carrying me let's go four miles five miles later I ain't got a gas can put it in got nobody to call of course that's back when a fuel was forty nine cents a gallon had dollar in my pocket it's two gallons of gas he made he's not a math major borrow the gas can put the gas in the can walk back put it in the car save a little bit for the carburetor Oh daddy anyway you know what put it all in there you gotta get started prime it get to the gas station stay with me stay with me do you realize that in this day of communication of everything at your fingertips I already know that when my phone rings and it says Lauren Sloan I already know this gonna be good hey sweetie we're yeah why you asked me that dad I don't know I really I just thought of it first time you just came to me dad how much how much do you love me so baby I love you to the moon and back withdrawal here it goes some of your parents are going what she doesn't realize is it is my good pleasure to help her why is that any different with you and your God see God may be saying you know what you just ran out of gas ain't you a car did you get out of your life did you get out of your junk but my phone's dead oh that's even better walk where am I going you'll figure it out I want money when I get there you'll figure it out how much gas to get sure you do it's in your pocket just walk I don't know well I hate running out of gas hey nobody's fault but whose whose fault is it yeah you're the one that forgot to put gas in and you're walking now I'm sorry to use such a very simple explanation but I think everybody understands that if I'm gonna get anywhere what do I have to go get huh okay what you got to have in the car or you could just do what leave the car there and go buy another car right Logan let's go get another car oh well that won't quit no you don't do that what do you do use your brain stay with me and you do what you got to do to fuel back in your car so you can go when you face an obstacle in your life in a circumstance a situation just blowing up on you why don't you use your spiritual brain and realize wait a minute if God is for me who can be against me I realize that I'm in a situation right now that needs the intervention of the hand of the Lord therefore instead of running instead of fleeing instead of moving what I'm gonna choose to do is trust that when I gave this to God God already took care of it pastor what if he doesn't run in and shake the heavens and rock it and move it then so be it God give me what I need to walk waiting on you there is power in the waiting you don't know what's gonna happen tomorrow but you wait on God you don't know how things could possibly come around but you know that God is still there I've come today to encourage somebody this morning I'm sitting in my office and the Lord's breathing on me encouraging words saying it may not have it now it might not be there right now you may not see the revival of the outpouring you're looking for now but today's another day an opportunity for another chance somebody walking into the house today is gonna need healing I'm a healer by the way I can heal them somebody coming in the house of the Lord today needs a word from God because they're battling mind and emotions and Cinch situations I want them to know I've not left them I'm working things out for them if they'll patiently walk if they'll keep on moving if they'll keep on praying if they'll keep on doing what they know to do I'll come through for them it might take longer than they think but I've not forgot about him I've not walked away from my promise if I told him there backslidden kids are coming home they need to know they're coming home it might not be on your terms it might not be on their terms but it's gonna be on God's terms if somebody's here today and disease has wrapped your body you need to know what that if God is working in your life it shall not take your life but God's gonna take care of it God's gonna work it out God's gonna move in your situation why because it's in the waiting that God moves up mountains out of the way it's in the waiting that God moves mountains that's in the way it's in the waiting that God heals and delivers in the name of Jesus shall available to toturial of Arusha in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus Lord God you can do the job the work right now you can complete the promise right now in the name of Jesus chiana Barossa ha in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus it can be done in the name of Jesus we don't have to gonna be distracted nor destroyed but in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus right now if you've got a promise and you know God's working it out but you've become discouraged I want you to run the desalter I want you to come as fast as you can get here God is still doing job God is still working on God still knows what it's gonna take and he's all about the details you got a no friend God has not forgotten you God has not walked away from you but God is working in your life right now begin to praise him right now lift your voice lift your voice as loud as you can and begin to praise his name come on somebody come on somebody you need to remove the doubt you need to set beyond the fear what you don't see and realize what is happening is of God and he's working it out for your good come on that's right come on that's right yellow-bellied lover push aha come on it's in the waiting waiting on God waiting on him come on that's right come on fill your mouth with praise fill your heart with praise let the name of the Lord Jesus escape from your lips right now Jesus Jesus Jesus you can do it Lord you can raise him up Lord you can bring my husband into the house of God you can bring my children into the house of God you can Lord you can make away in my circumstances you can make away in my situation Jesus come on somebody begin to worship Him begin to lift up his name AHA in the name of Jesus that's right that's right reach over pray for somebody close to you spirit of the Living God touch my brother right now Lord anoint my sister right now Jesus you have worked it out let faith arise let trust arise right now to be able to take that step to be able to accomplish that step in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus yes Maria LaRosa in the name of Jesus come on that's right that's right come on pray for somebody god Annoying of God annoying him kind of knowing him today hallelujah hallelujah Jesus yes yes yes yes yes she said I believe you Lord I trust you lord my soul says yes to you Jesus I'm depending on you Jesus I'm holding on to you sweetie I know God you've got it worked out I'm waiting on you I'm serving you I'm trusting you I'm believing you I'm believing you God come on that's right that's right that's right come on worship let it come worship let it move worship let it let it assist you come on that's right worship let it pull you into his presence worship come on in spite of your circumstance in spite of your circumstance perhaps because of your circumstance praise Him praise Him Oh God I know that you're working it out Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus I trust in you you yes Jesus halleluja halleluja hallelujah holy is your name holy is your name and before we go home I want to ask you a question let's just say let's just say that the answer came right now right now whatever you're battling with whatever you're asking whatever you've been patiently waiting for for a long time it just came right now right now it just happened proof right there fool kind of like simian coming through the door looking up and there it is and like Joshua making that step and all of a sudden the crumble and the rumble of the roof kind of like Hannah when she began to feel something move inside of her this Wow God didn't remember it happened now my question is this having that understanding right now I want you to praise God as if it just happened however you feel like you would love and worship and bless him and give him honor and glory praise and lift up his name I want you to do that right now as if the answer just came as if the revelation just happened come on come on those backslidden kids did come home those husbands did walk through the door God fill them with the Holy Ghost that job that promotion that whatever it is come on come on love him as if it just happened come on praise him as if it just transpired you hell of a real crush on Lord I've been waiting and the answers here right now I'm gonna bless you and thank you for it I'm gonna worship you and thank you for it oh god oh god you have worked a miracle and I honor you and I love you right now yellow yellow bucket ah-ha come on somebody come on as if it's just happened give him glory give him on or give Him praise magnify his name exalt his name oh that's right God you have worked it out God you have worked it out great god you have worked it out right God you brought it together won't you give put it together Oh God you did come through yes the door did open yes the answer did come I've come to bless you for God I've come to worship you for in Jesus hallelujah oh we serve a mighty God we serve a mighty God yes I love you I love you I love you Jesus Oh sometimes the waiting is the hardest part but it's what brings the answer patience waiting trusting hoping believing walking walking walking moving in him get a hold of somebody's hand close to you let's pray one for another as we leave Jesus I love you lord I thank you today for your spirit I thank you for truth today I thank you Lord for the word I think your Lord for the promises thank you Lord for always being on time every time your time thank you for that Lord I plead your blood over every heart every home every family that's here in this house I plead your blood Lord this week as we're fasting and praying and reading your word I pray that answers would come I pray that answers would come I pray that answers would come in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus in the name of Jesus let God arise and let our enemy be scattered spirit of the Living God work in this place right now I pray we honor you we love you we trust you we believe in you we thank you Lord we serve your Lord we know God that you are the answer for this world today I bless you Lord and I thank you for all that you've done in the name of Jesus we pray hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah I love all of you thank you so much for being here today a quick reminder check your app tomorrow night
