how does somebody how does a person an individual a man woman child how do they look around their life look around their circumstance and how how does somebody declare that there is no god in a world full of beauty and a world full of grace if you will anybody notice the trees are beginning to bloom maybe nobody's excited but i am you can sense in the air that change is happening i can sense in my sinuses that something is happening it's spring in the air amen fact of the matter is as uncomfortable as your sinus infection might be and as all the allergies begin to show themselves it is an indication as well that season is changing the wintertime subsiding cool mornings remind you that changes here the warm afternoons caused you to hope and to sit on your porch swing when you couldn't last week i know that quite honestly i'm aware that it could be routine it might even be mundane because seasons come and seasons go a lot of times we we we don't take the time if you will to enjoy the changes but i want you to know that change is a welcome sign in many times in your life you ever been going through a great trial or a great test maybe you call it a great tribulation maybe but then things begin to get better and you welcome the change that's coming we discover for an example in this time of year outdoors the leaves are changing they're beginning to sprout flowers are coming out birds are are beginning to nest things are happening in in the animal kingdom we see that we agree that if we hang in there long enough the change in the season will make us happy he may like the fall time of year it may like the summer heat anybody okay with the cold winter see y'all are so weird simple fact is it is a clear indication to all of us that life is moving on things do not remain the same kids grow up i was i was reminded just a while ago in fact that i remember when a lot of these kids were born and now they're all up running around and acting never mind they're just so sweet and kind i can't even remember i was reminded not long ago a few minutes ago in fact how that we were playing a pictionary or charades and somebody told us they were having a child y'all remember that i was reminded now look and i'm like wow that was yesterday kids grow up i'm getting closer to retirement sweetie we're okay right you and me gotcha empty nesters we are at the other end of the spectrum life takes change and things happen we understand that as you parents of raising these little babies that that often they cry and they're so needy and then you turn around you blink twice and next thing you know is they're walking and then you turn again and an issue begins to spring up in their life and they're asking you about dating and you're wondering where does the time go herb you wait man it's coming your way sometimes in the in the test of life we pass sometimes we fail and and we have to repeat some things the fact of the matter is everything that's happening in your life is to make you who you are it is to instruct and help us to grow your moms and dads you're trying to teach your children how to be responsible adults right everybody do this all you kids are trying to make your parents be better parents it's the activity of humanity babies are born they grow they learn then they fall in love they move out they have their own babies they learn they grow the cycle moves forward forward parents become grandparents babies become parents and on and on it goes all the while there is an influence there is an instruction there is teaching that is happening and and one generation to the next generation we are trying to make this world work where we live amen but in the midst of all of that on this sunday afternoon i've come to tell you that there is a god that inspired all of that understand in the animal kingdom for an example now i'm thankful not to be a part of the wild animal kingdom i'm in this other animal kingdom but there are uh in the animal kingdom for an example there are there are things that some animals have to learn very quickly an example uh my mom if she's watching she'll attest to that she likes to watch online the eagles nests anybody ever watch that i i go over there mom's watching and i'm seeing her going that's an egg that's still an egg but lo and behold if you wait long enough the egg hatches oh then the cool thing is when when the mama bird's ready for that bird to fly because you get to watch it on the camera and all of a sudden poof do it you know on the african safari if the animals have a little one if they don't teach that little one very quickly how to run guess what call breakfast i realize that you and i we thank the lord that we don't have to live in that difficult of an environment but i want you to understand something that there are innate desires that god puts into the animals for an example but also as humans there are things that are in our lives y'all hang on to pastor for a little while today it's innate it's there it's natural for an example a loving and a nurturing mother she she desires to hold her baby i look at some of these little girls walking around with baby dolls and i'm amazed at that and they walk around with a teddy bear and i'm like lord that husband's ugly but there's something in them i i see these little guys pushing cars around and trying to make tractors do things that they ought not do and and it's something in them to make that work understand that there's something in a young mother that wants her to take care of a baby there's something in a father that says i need to protect and to provide for that child there's a responsibility and accountability those are natural instincts natural instincts that happen in a human nature itself teaches us things it's how humanity grows it's how it thrives you don't have to tell a new baby to live it comes out ready to live it it knows what it needs and all the the funniest part about child rearing is this parents have no clue what the baby needs and it's the funny i wonder what the child's thinking watch me make their life miserable so inhumanity some of your parents are like oh i'm so tired of that anyway in humanity why is there so many uncertainties why are there so many challenges and confusion and things we ought to just understand we always just live the way that we're supposed to live do what we're supposed to do things that god has put within us we ought to be able just to grab a hold of the results and to move forward but something has happened in our lives fact of the matter is some people did not adhere to the teachings of what god was trying to instruct and because of that there are direct results that come from going against the god of creations words proverbs the wise guy look how he wrote this y'all got to get this proverbs 22 and 6 you're ready for it train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it the wise guy wrote this training is what keeps the child close to god it's part of the system it's part of what god established with humanity i'm gonna let you grow and learn things and then you've got to train your child your baby your children what they need to do and the cycle continues it's a responsibility that you and i possess that god gave to us now listen god was not so sure that the system would work listen to me so he carefully gave to the man moses the law that would be required hang on to me we've got what's called the the genesis exodus leviticus numbers and deuteronomy in your bible otherwise known as the torah the pentateuch anybody with me okay hang on to me fact of the matter is you can read in those instructions that god was very clear in fact he repeated multiple times many of the things that they would need to know about how to raise their child what to do to worship him how to survive how to act with your neighbor and so forth and so on it's in that torah we have those first five books that you and i can read today and understand that by definition hear this the word torah was not simply a series of laws rules and regulations listen to me carefully but the fact of the matter when you get into the original hebrew meaning of the word it simply means to point as an arrow a certain direction to point like a finger from a teacher showing a student which way to go in exodus chapter 18 we see that the man moses is sitting to judge the matters of the people of god and it was simply wearing him out everybody know the story and sun up to sundown he would listen to the issues the trials the things that people were going through and he would pass judgment on them he would do things for them and lo and behold his father-in-law jethro found out what he was doing and the bible says in chapter 18 verse 20 thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws and shall shoot them the way wherein they must walk and the work that they must do what he was telling the man moses you've got to teach ordinances to the people you've got to give leadership capabilities to those men who can simply do the task of taking care of the things of the people of god what how they interact one with another how they treat one another how the laws would govern them in their actions hear what i'm saying to you today 2022 i realize that there's a whole lot of folk in our world in our culture that doesn't want to hear about laws they don't want to hear about boundaries they don't want to hear about limitations they don't want to know that there are regulations they simply want to love and live and let live and have what they want in the world the world's full of folk that are so disgruntled they're so mad they're so upset they're angry at themselves they're angry at what's going on around them and all of this my friend is simply for one reason they don't want to be told what to do because they feel like hear this that they themselves have become the governing force in society i've come to tell you i've known a lot of people in my life i've met a lot of smart folk and not so smart folks but i've never met anybody that can make a child from nothing that could develop a baby from simply nothing but it has all of the needed elements for that child i've never met a man woman or child that could put a seed in the ground that they created and bring it up out of the ground to give shape now see mankind doesn't have that capability but if you'll trust the risen say our god who is the creator of all things what our world is looking for right now is an arrow that's pointing the way to an answer what they're looking for friend if i could use the term today is torah they're looking can you tell me which way to go would you point me in the right direction i'm tired of walking around in darkness i'm tired of all the confusion and the chaos i wish somebody would give me the ability to live life abundant understanding that the ways of god are right deuteronomy chapter eight listen to me carefully verse 1 all the commandments which i command thee this day shall ye observe to do that you may live multiply and go in and possess the land which the lord swear to your fathers thou shalt remember all the way which the lord thy god led thee these forty years in the wilderness to humble thee to prove thee to know what was in thine heart whether thou just keep his commandments or no and he humbled thee and suffered thee to hunger fed thee with manna which thou knewest not neither did thy fathers know that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the lord doth man live i've come to declare on this sunday afternoon it is the word of god that brings life to humanity it is from the teachings of the scripture that we gather the blessings and the multiplication of blessings in our lives his laws and his precepts you and i have to have them every day hear what i'm saying as we sit here today in the presence of the lord god we are learning and ever discovering the plan of god for our lives you have kids they turn to you have babies they turn to kids they turn to you young men young women and adults of all ages the cycle goes the potential is there to learn and to rebel against what you should learn we all have the capacity to make one rich or to make one poor but it is god himself who has given us that ability to live life day in and day out i've come to tell you through his word he has given us the ability not only to succeed here on planet earth but to make heaven your home one day it is through his word his torah that his finger points to the future and he establishes church if you want to know where you're going to find happiness follow the law the word of god if you want to know where to find hope follow the word of god look for it if you want to know where to find the blessings of god don't look at your own devices but follow what the word of god is saying i've come to tell you today friend his word is a lamp to our feet it is a light to the path that we walk in this chaotic and feverish generation in this world in which we're living we will only find our hope in torah pastor you're bringing an old testament phrase you better know it you better know it see we live in a society that grace takes care of everything how many thankful for grace today but do you realize in the prophetic law in the law of the old testament you won't find grace if you were going to survive and live and thrive and be successful in that day it was simply because you obeyed what god said to do pastor that's a tough word for today's vernacular obedience that's a tough word today pastor submission that's a hard word for you to use submit to the authority we should we should be able to question everything fine question it but where are you going to receive your answer taught my children very clear question everything i have an answer i'm sorry i have an answer and what you're gonna need to do is just just be good just be good how many all know that works i mean you know it works real good my dad said that a lot brother daniel you just be good smack no i'm joking listen to me carefully please in this chaotic world in which we live taurus still works proverbs the wise god wrote it like this in one and seven the fear of the lord is the beginning of knowledge but fools despise wisdom and instruction my son hear the instruction of thy father forsake not the law of thy mother for they shall be an ornament of grace under your head and chains about thy neck the wise god three in one my son forget not my law but let thine heart keep my commandments for lengths of days and long life and peace shall they add to thee the psalmist did this way in one nineteen and nine wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way by taking heed thereto according to thy word with my whole heart have i sought thee oh let me not wander from thy commandments thy word have i hid in my heart that i might not sin against thee i'm convinced by the reading of the word i'm convinced by experiencing the word that in our culture in our generation we need what's called a good old praying through some of us need to get beside ourself and realize we've caused a mess in our lives we made some really dumb choices and bad mistakes but it's time to get back to what god designed you to be and that is a vessel that will glorify and honor him some of you sitting under the sound of my voice you have frustrated yourself to the ends of the world because you refuse to listen to the command of the lord god you'll watch your pastor every week get up here and sweat his clothes through and you'll wonder why is he upset and mad and yelling at me and all the while i am reaching for your soul desiring that you do not smell the smoke of hell i try to go into the flame and pull your soul out you want to know why because there is still a place called heaven there is still a place called hell and you're going to have to decide will i believe the word of god or will i believe the word of man will i let my flesh override me or will i submit to the spirit of god in me now listen carefully please there is an anointing that will break the yoke of bondage but the anointing only comes through the crushing and the mashing of the will of man it is when you decide hear me mom and dad there is nothing wrong with you requiring your child to pray you say all the time daddy needs to hear you pray i need to hear your voice i need to hear you ask jesus for forgiveness i need to hear you say it but y'all listen to me you think you think you can patty kick your way to heaven and think that the commands of the lord listen to me there is an entire world and generation old testament that had laws to live by and if they transgressed anything in that they would listen oh jesus help me in the book of deuteronomy what do we read here o israel the lord our god one they were to teach that precept and concept to the generation why because if you don't get the fact of who he is then there are other gods in this world that will steal from you and they will destroy anything good that god is trying to do in your life and you wonder sometimes why the chaos why the question i am convinced you can turn on any new show you want to you can turn on any youtube report or any on these fabric people looking at it through their camera and you can discover in a multitude of 10 000 people in a riot causing chaos and all of that if somebody will step into the midst of that chaos and simply breathe the name jesus there is an anointing that will go with that name why because his word is stronger than anything that they try to do try to contrary to the things of god i'm convinced mom and dad if your child's blowing up you get jesus close to them and it'll change i'm convinced mom and dad if you're on the job and the whole hell's broken loose you step on your job please in the name of jesus i refuse to give in to the things of the world i trust that the word of god is stronger than anything i believe in this hour in which we live with all the junk going on it's time for true people of god to say i am not ashamed of the gospel of jesus christ it is my finger god's finger pointing away it is my torah which i can receive direction from him mom and dad listen carefully i'm going to help you if you'll let me there's a whole lot of things happening in our world and i literally do not have answers for you how do i tell you i wish that tomorrow i could pick up the phone and make one phone call and stop every abortion from ever happening again i wish that i could call every jail in america and say please put me on speaker phone inmates listen your hope is in jesus but i can't what i can do what i can do what is my responsibility is whoever sits under the sound of my voice i can make a declaration as the voice peace of god and i can say if you'll follow the word i promise you he'll never leave you nor forsake you i promise you if you will you want to know why we pray in this this verse after we've given our offering every week i know it becomes routine and monday and some of y'all say yeah whatever whatever i'm here to tell you that is the word the undefiled word that's why we stand on that's why we proclaim it and you know what god hears his word coming out of your mouth and he says they believe it what happens is doubt and fear questions and all that stuff begin to creep up and we begin to say no god i got this one and the lord is so cool about it he simply says what okay if you knew today i'm trying not to meddle brother jerome would you come if you knew today that jesus himself made a trip to chattanooga and was going to be found in person at a certain place at a certain hour how many of you would say to yourself i need to get there how many would say i'm going there i'm convinced that a lot of us would start out with good intentions but then we would get sidetracked huh how many are your parents oh let me call wait let me say old-time parents not new time parents old-time parents had to drive the car with your left hand as your right hand commence to pass out judgment and the fear of every child my generation was if daddy ever stopped the car don't make me stop this car i was afraid to death sam that my dad would get up don't make me get up from here mine okay stay stay right there yeah i think it's silly because what the media and the press and our world has done is they have tried to declare that past generations lost their mind i've come to tell you the word of god is right the word of god is right you want to spare the rod guess what you'll do i got nothing that that's him we want to believe apostolic faith and believing in acts 2 38 good get in the word and find out what the rest of the bible says it is instruction i'm not i'm not giving you a license to beat the snot out of your kid for no reason what i'm telling you though is this if you'll pray get in the word god will god will give you the wisdom you need to be able to take care of your children and teach them how to honor the things of god some of y'all get maybe upset or sideways at my lovely wife here when she said you wouldn't even know something i'm a little more tolerant some things than this beautiful lady here i have to be because she's taller than me you understand how it works it's a cycle come on you'll get this ethan soon early you'll find out and when my wife says to one of these children you better stay off that platform do you think for one minute she just thinks the carpet's pretty and she don't want to mess up the lines if somebody vacuumed on it no you know what she's doing can i tell it she is simple she is teaching them how to respect the things of god it's as simple as i can make it some of you don't feel like it matters good then you let them go to your house and act that way and when the police officer shows up to drag them to jail what do you think you're going to do then don't take my child you shut down what no you should have taught them earlier how to now y'all hang on i love you you know i do what i'm telling you is this we live in an age that people are looking for direction that's what the torah meant people of god this is the way you take this is the road you walk this is how you do it this is how it happens you see the law was so powerful then dad knew when i rise up in the morning the first thing my babies need to hear hear o israel the lord our god is one lord when we sit at the table and we're ready to eat we're going to say our blessing guess what they need to hear it twice hero israel the lord our god is one lord when they're going to walk out that door the last thing they better know when they touch that door post is when i leave this place hero israel the lord our god is one lord and when they step out into the world something is rattling in their brain because they've already heard it three times before they ever step out hear this and whatever they picked up while they were walking around in the world that day when they come through the door at night and they open it up guess what's the first thing they see hero israel the lord our god is one lord when they lay down in their head at night you tell them hero israel the lord our god is one lord repetition repetition pastor you know what that is that's brainwashing you know what that is that's planting something in them that maybe they don't need i've come to tell you and declare to you that some three-year-old cannot declare anything about themselves you would be foolish to let a child decide what sex they are by the time they're five years old that is foolish god did not put that question in them don't get mad at me i'm confident in who i am because god made me now again i embarrass my little girl all the time because she don't want to god there's a reason that she's like she is it's because her daddy hugged her tells her every time i see her your daddy loves you sweetie your daddy loves you baby why did i do that because you're a dad you need to know i wanted her to be confident her daddy loves her i told that ugly boy sitting next to her you'd be mean to her one time you don't even know dad if i get married who do i marry i say this is it i told this young man that he better love god more than he loves he you love you more than i do dad that's hard you better know it i ain't leaving my grandbabies to this world influence i stand here today because my grandparents refused to let the enemy come in and destroy it so my little short grandma prayed time after time god keep them on the straight and narrow keep them in the place god be the torah to them let the finger of god lead them let it point to the direction they need to go when they're down and out and the questions of world begin to come around them and try to weigh them down god you breathe life into them give them strength to stand up in the face of their friends and and those around them and say i will not submit to the things of this world but i will submit to the word of god why because his word is a lamp that leads my path it's the torah that points the way for me something again i had to pick on my wife and my kids that's the only ones i got my lovely wife would sit in the rocking chair when our babies were in the womb and she would read to them in the beginning god created the heaven and earth the earth was without form and void the darkness was upon the face of the deep so babe what are you doing i'm reading to the baby really you're listening am i telling the truth then i'd sing to him i said you know my voice well i said they don't work that way come to you with a voice today church stand with me please if this next generation's going to fall in love with jesus it's because this generation is in love with jesus and i've come to tell you my life's experience is simply this if you don't talk about jesus he will go away if you don't welcome him into your home into your job into your finances into your health into the table which you sit and eat at if you don't introduce him to your kids and to everybody that walks into your house if you don't make a statement this is who i am my lord god is in control of my life and i serve him gladly with joy i get up in the morning speak in the name jesus i lay down at night trusting in the name jesus i'm not worried about what the enemy's going to do why because i don't care what the weapons he makes it's not going to affect me what i am though is i'm a blood-bought child of god all fear and doubt will leave when i plead the blood of jesus that's why when you pray you better speak the name of jesus that's why when your babies are going out the door to school every day you better be cleaning the blood of jesus that's why before you open the door to get out and go do your job you better plead the blood of jesus you can ask anybody that climbs in my little truck that goes on a job and works with me the last thing i do before i pull out pray with me jesus keep us safe today on the job i have no idea what i'm about to face but lord i pray for wisdom knowledge and understanding lead me lord and don't let me get hurt out here and be dumb and i pull out of the parking lot and i go work you want to know why i plead the blood of jesus i have no idea what's out there but there's a torah saying follow this way follow that way go that direction make that choice go that way follow that law do this go here go there i do not leave it up to chance i'm a little see it rolling the dice grab a hold of your babies if they're close to you right now we're going to pray jesus jesus i believe that all power lord in heaven and earth is in your name i know jesus that you are the one that sets free you're the one that makes a way it is through your name jesus that every devil in hell will run it is in your name that healing comes it is in your name that salvation is presented it is in your name jesus that we have our being in which we live and have our life it is in your name jesus that we get up every morning and that we go to bed every night it is your name lord god as we plead that blood as we speak to you jesus you open doors of opportunity you make a way where there is no way come on pray for your loved ones right now come on you pray for them mom dad let them hear you speak their name to the lord jesus great god i know your hand is upon them now you bring your children to the altar come on come on bring them up here to the altar get them up here and pray over them in the altar show them what the altar work looks like show them what the sacrifice at the altar supposed to be come on be that example to them the lord is leading the lord god is blessing come on come on bring your children to an altar it's the safest place they'll ever be it's the best place that they'll ever be is in the altar oh that's right come on that's right you be that example to them the altar is where you make a sacrifice the altar is where you let the old man die the altar is where you present your gift to the lord god the altar is where you give your heart your thoughts your ideas to him the altar is where you find answers for life the altar is where you find your spouse the altar is where you find healing the altar is where you find direction come on pray mom and dad you ought to have them in the altar right now let them understand the power of the altar there is anointing in the altar the blood of jesus is in the altar come on he makes a way in the altar he changes lives in the altar he does work in the altar jesus come on the altar needs to be a friendly place to your family this is how you do it come on mom and dad show them how to pray lift your voice show them how to lift your hands show them how to fall in love with jesus that's right come on come on let him know this is how it is this is how i fight my battles in the altar in the name of jesus in the name oh come on open your mouth pray for you open your mouth pray that's right yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah the altar the altar the altar come on the finger of god the arrow of god is pointing in the altar this go this way come on let's go this way come on turn right there come on mom and dad pray for your children pray for your spouse pray for your loved ones jesus christ hallelujah oh that's right that's right that's right that's right in the altar in the altar in the altars there is truth found in the altar there is wisdom found in the altar let him be that finger that points the way yeah yeah yeah oh yeah come on that's right let faith grow right now come on in the name of jesus jesus jesus hallelujah hallelujah that's right come on pray come on pray get ahold of somebody pray for them pray for them let the anointing of the lord move in your life right now come on there is liberty in the altar yeah salvation in the altar blessings are the altar oh jesus lead us oh god in the plain path show us lord your word let us discover lord your way give us a hunger for truth god give us a hunger for truth jesus hallelujah if there's a need in your family somebody's sick somebody diseased somebody got a health issue somebody got a financial problem mom and dad right now i want you to take dominion over and you pray the prayer of faith put your hands on your children whatever you got to do come on in the name of jesus you know the situation you're going through you rebuke the enemy right now in the name of jesus in the name of jesus that's right you rebuke that enemy right now devil you're a liar you get your hands off my kids you take your hands off my wife my children you take your hands off my you take your hands right now in the name of jesus i refuse to be defeated i stand in the name of jesus i proclaim the blood of jesus christ come on that's right pray that prayer i believe you for god i believe you for it god i believe you for it jesus that's right come on press through it press through it lord jesus let our homeboy let our home be a blessed hope that's right that's right that's right in jesus name in jesus name in jesus name i love you jesus love you lord pray with me church right now lord i thank you for the power of the torah the finger of god that points the way thankful lord for the work that it does in all of our lives even today in our generation thankful lord that jesus you came to fulfill the law but the law lord is still there just through you jesus that we partake of the law lord jesus i believe in this hour that truth still true still abides in the name of jesus hope still stands in the name of jesus peace still is here through the blood of jesus christ as a church lord we are standing today god in faith believing in the altar lord that victory comes in the name of jesus i plead your blood over each every family everyone that's here today i plead the blood of jesus i rebuke the enemy that's trying to discourage or destroy devil get your hands off the church we are children of the most high god we believe in the power of the spirit of god working in our lives daily oh god go with every one of us lord lead us in the plain path let us find truth dear god let us discover in your word lord the path that leads us to you in eternity in the name of jesus be glorified and in everything we give you thanks this week lord i pray that you would open doors of opportunity for the family of god to be a witness and a testimony lord to a lost and dying world hope comes in jesus name in jesus name keep us safe lord let us hunger and thirst after righteousness we'll be filled i love you lord and i believe in you in jesus name we pray can you give him thanks before you leave come on lift your voice come on lift your boy thank you jesus i thank you jesus i thank you lord i love you today so good to see all of you out in the house of the lord thank you for being here i again i welcome our guests so glad you're here shake hands be friendly one with another tomorrow night don't forget prayer wednesday night bible study god
