jesus for the goodness and grace you show us for the opportunity lord to gather in a place to love you together with god's people lord jesus we have gathered and prayed lord we have lifted up needs we have rejoiced in what you have done in our lives we have sung the songs of zion we have lifted up your name we believe if we lift you up you will draw today right now lord we go to your word i make myself available to you jesus one more time take calls from the altar touch lips of clay today lord speak to our hearts let us discover the things of god and apply them daily lord jesus lord we believe you're coming as soon we must be at your business right now lord help us god is the church not to lose sight nor vision but to maintain lord our integrity through the days in the name of jesus grant us right now lord your word to speak into us we love you and we need you we believe you lord for great things your word is a lamp to our feet it's a light to our pathway and today god we are calling upon you in the name of jesus to god be the glory come on church would you love him right now before you sit down lift your voice to him i love you lord i believe you lord i trust you jesus hallelujah hallelujah thank you singers musicians thank you to all the workers those watching traffic those opening closing doors teachers helpers cookie makers and center routers everybody that's involved camera folks sound folk anybody that does things at cornerstone i want you to know i love you and i appreciate you greatly amen you may be seated again thanks to our guest for being here we're so honored you're here those have joined us online we're glad you're here we pray the lord's blessing in your life amen we're gathered again in the house of the lord we all came to this place today because of choices that were made some of you might have been influenced today to come to church because somebody's going to buy you lunch if that's you you ought to say amen some are hopeful you ought to say amen to faith others of you have received an invitation and therefore you came because you believe it's a good thing to do some of us in here it's just habit you just get up on sunday and go to church does anybody still have a son to go to meeting outfit that's just an old phrase i was wondering if y'all had some of us come in the house of the lord because we desire to see others if you're glad to sit next to the one you're sitting with would you shout amen if the one sitting next to you didn't say anything you might want to ask them what happened some of you came to the house of the lord to sing you like to sing some you came because you want to feel the freedom and the of the assembling of together with god's people those who believe the same way that you do as a congregation you come together for a cause that's why you come to the house of god every week we come to church to encourage one another i don't mind telling you when i come to the house of the lord i like to laugh i do y'all know that about pastor wright you also know that i like to cry and i like to understand why i have a cry face some of us come to church because we like to shout and feel the liberty of being in the house of the lord we like to rejoice with what god has done if you come to church because you simply want to do nothing then i invite you to change your channel and figure out that togetherness matters but all right being together matters now as much as i enjoy the times we spend together i will tell you again you know this about me i enjoy being alone i i like the quiet and solitude of myself i'm okay with not having noise and stuff going on it's okay i like i call it peaceful silence now i don't have to be that way always at church but i do enjoy the quiet sometimes just me and my thoughts me and and what the lord is saying or it doesn't matter if you're an introvert or an extrovert the fact is it applies to all of us we like to be together then there's times we like to be alone and by ourselves god placed that desire within each one of us amen it's who we are as humans no doubt you have a preference something you enjoy more than the other or something that you wish didn't come your way as much as it does but the fact is for an example if you're here in this place today you mom's in here you love your children do you not yeah you love your children and as much as the chaos and the noise and the stuff that they bring into your life it's joy and all of that i dare say there are moments when you simply want peace and quiet now mom you don't have to raise your hand and shout and get up and run around the church at this moment it's simply a statement i make as parents you love your family but there are times when you don't need them around you to be honest there are times that you just need a moment to breathe dads if you're here i know that you enjoy being around your family you love what they do what they bring into your life you know that you give to them you work to provide for them but to be honest there are times dad that you want simple solitude i just need a break for a moment i'm not talking a month or a week i'm talking just a few moments just to be able to say i am okay by myself we are made as individuals yet we are made to live together as the family listen carefully to what the scripture tells us in genesis the first chapter verse number 26 notice the writing here and god said follow me let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air over the cattle over the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth in verse 27 so god created man in his own image in the image of god created he him male and female created he them the bible says that god spoke god created god made man humanity in his image turn to your neighbor and say you look like god some of you are like oh my i've never been called that before he didn't call you god he just says you have an image of god is that okay don't get puffed up in yourself allow me a moment if you will to to examine what this actually means in the identifying matter in which god established humanity let me be clear sometimes we are loners but sometimes we are clannish and we attach ourselves to others we are at times in a mode of connectedness to those around us and then there are other times when we're alone and we have to make those tough decisions it is the way that god made humanity it is in us it is for us to understand that is god's design do you know that god is a perfect god in all that he does can anyone declare a mistake that god has made huh now there might be a couple of items that you may question for an example i have one if i'm asked do you have any questions sure why mosquitoes but anyway it is god's plan it is his way because it's his creation that's you and that's me i am simply establishing today the understanding that we are people in an assembly with likes and differences all because god made us in his image tell somebody today i know what you look like and it looks like my god tell somebody that come on don't confuse them let them know let them know i know what you look like the fact of the matter is simply this god made everything with purpose needed to maintain his purpose that he established when making earth when making all things once that follow me once the fall of man occurred in the garden of eden due to disobedience to god things now had to follow a plan that god had put into place for fallen man there where there once was freedom and liberty to walk in god's favor without the shame of sin and disobedience now there comes a connection point that god looks to to humanity to say there's only one way that i can get near to you there's only one way that you can get close to me and that is through the one that i have sent to earth in my word to become flesh that is everybody say it jesus christ he came for that purpose so that we're made in god's image agreed but with the fallacies the faults the failures the mess-ups and all of that stuff somehow god still wants you to be close to him you need something to connect you that is jesus christ he's the one that came to redeem the soul of man he was the purpose in coming to planet earth it is god's plan it is god's way now as we sit here today in this room we are reminded of the powerful grace and mercy of our savior jesus we understand that salvation came by no other way but through the blood of jesus christ we worship him because of the love of the plan that he has for our lives we worship him because of what he does and who he is in our lives fellowship with him and others comes because we desire to connect with things that he loves god designed us to be together and god designed us to be a part god understands then the assembling together of a church body y'all hang on the pastor for a moment it is a huge part of our lives we come together to sing we come together to lift up our hands we come together to worship the name of jesus we pray one for another we believe in the word of god one with another we encourage those around us that they too can know jesus and have a relationship with him i am here today to remind us that we need the church in our lives i know that it is important for me and i know that it is vitally important for you if you take the time to study the process that god designed from the very beginning of humanity we understand that god had man and woman and he understood that if they could ever grasp the reality of god's plan for humanity then from that point they would desire a relationship with god a union with god in the process now listen to me carefully a little bit of history let me fill you in on some some blanks you might have the first books of the bible god gives us as the plan for humanity it is the connection between the created and god it precepts in the laws that are giving there are given to us from for an example in the first five books god gave to moses his representative called the torah the education the instruction the class the learning what you needed to know you might even reference this as the pentateuch because it's the story of the completeness of how god's instruction was given to mankind notice this god's instruction his voice was given to moses and then moses would take that word and would give it to joshua joshua then would hand that to the elders of israel the elders of israel would hand it to the prophets the prophets would then take it to the men of great assembly and from there is how the word came from god and was distributed to those who were in the camp of israel god understood that if i can connect people with what i say they will understand me and they will want to do more and more of what i tell them to do understand the law of god refers to the written portion but the commandment of god commits to the spoken portion god always gives a law with an explanation you got to understand here how god is expressing himself to humanity when moses gave the words of god to the people of god he told them three things first of all you be deliberate in your judgment second of all you raise many disciples and third of all you make a hedge about the torah the instructions from god to man in that plan i want you to understand even in 2022 that it is god's desire even now to bless and to move in humanity look at your neighbor and say god wants to bless you god has a plan for you god knows where you are and what is going on in your life i want you to notice the way that god spend time with his people the book of exodus again i'm back in the first five books exodus 35 and 29 the bible says the children of israel brought a willing offering unto the lord every man and woman whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work which the lord had commanded to be made by the hand of moses god had given moses an instruction this is what you will do in order to spend time with me i want you moses to explain to the people they are going to have to step up with willingness to do the things of god in order to make his plan come to fruition god was looking at the heart of humanity speaking into the heart of humans and telling them i want you to bring this plan to pass god gave the plan to moses and then god allowed listen to this the people to search their heart and decide what was acceptable in bringing to the lord what would be an offering that would be acceptable for the work of god the verse here the word here that i want to bring and i want to reiterate with you time and again on this sunday is it all had to be done out of willingness what were you willing to bring what were you willing to give how much did they bring let's study the scripture and look at this a moment understand the people of god are trying to build a place that god had commanded them to build but in order to do that god simply could have breathed it and pushed it down to planet earth but he did not do that when it came to the things of god god put it in the heart of man a willingness to say i will do this because i am made in your image or i will walk away and define it for exodus 36 and 6 says this moses gave the commandment and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp saying let neither man nor woman make any more work of the offering of the sanctuary so the people were restrained from bringing why verse 7 for the stuff they had they had was sufficient for all the work to make it it too much listen to the story in exodus how that god is instructing moses to lead his people and in doing so he put within them a willingness to want to accomplish what god had done they within themselves listen to the story they brought willingly every day to the things of god god put a willingness in their heart they searched their heart and they gave according to what they felt they should give and god caused it to be blessed in order to really understand this concept to move forward let me let me give you another example of this story the bible talks about david he was a mighty king everybody's heard of david before agreed and we know that david was a man of war and he could go in and destroy and he was he had a way about him of leadership and being able to to go in and yield a sword and to to declare who he was but the bible says that he fought and he because he drew blood and because of his desire to want to fight god said to him you will not be able to build the temple to me but what i will do david is i will allow your son solomon to be able to build it notice in order for that to be true listen to preacher a moment david would have to declare the entire life of solomon you are not a man of war like your daddy but god has a plan for your life and because of that notice first chronicles this is a great story chapter 29 verse number six then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds with the rulers of the king's work offered willingly listen to this verse 7 and gave for the service of the house of god of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams and of silver ten thousand talents and the brass 18 000 talents one hundred thousand talents of iron and they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the lord by the hand of jehiel and the gershonite then the people rejoice for they that offered willingly because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the lord and david the king also rejoiced with great joy david knew it would not fall his lot to build the place for god but he knew that god had promised him that the next generation would and so to do so god began to work and dad that would come through and be fruit come to fruition through his son solomon david could not be the builder but he could become the facilitator david could not be the one that put the walls together but he could be the one that said you bring what you have willingly to the things of god and you're going to watch something unfold i've come today to declare to you that at the end of what i just read to you the whole group of people of god at that point david included rejoiced because of what they gave willingly unto the work of god i stand here today a preacher with the desire to please god this past wednesday night i declare to you a juncture at which our church of cornerstone apostolic church is where we stand we have the ability to continue the work of god forward we have the ability to buy and purchase and do the things of god i tell you today as a man and as a preacher i have my own ideas and my own precepts of what i think should happen and then i have to check them by the filter of the word and i have to look to it and i have to wonder god is this for me in vain glory or is this for you i i have to realize and believe that if my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren are going to have a place of worship it's going to be because i invested in the kingdom willingly nobody put a gun to my head nobody said what i owed or how i ought to pay it but instead i searched my heart and i follow the voice of god and i declared god if this is the juncture in which you have brought me for such a time as this god forbid that i would snub my nose to it wash my hands and simply say i don't know how it's going to happen therefore it's not going to happen and i walk away and i cross my arms and i sit down and decide let solomon figure it out when he gets here i have done a disservice not only to my great-grandparents who helped establish the work but to the children and grandchildren coming in the future i've come today to tell somebody it is still god's plan and it is still in the heart of man we are made in the image of god to understand the rights and the wrongs of daily living and the decisions we made in this generation and in this society where we stand today we are well versed in the blessings of god everybody in this house could throw your hand up and say god's been good to me i drive a car i live in a house i have a job i've got funds i've got money i've got coffee i've got what i need god's been good to me and all the while the blessings of god will become our stumbling block for the next generation god forbid god forbid god don't let me miss the hour don't let me miss your visitation don't let me miss it god it is in the heart and the mind of man that god created that we would give and that we would be partakers of the blessings of god but i refuse to simply hold my hand out and receive from god yet as i turn and i say god i give it back to you this past wednesday night i declare to you an opportunity we have as a church and i don't know if it's god's will or not i do know this i can't hear and know yet and god keeps saying move forward and so i presented it to the church we need 3.8 million dollars there's a building opportunity that's come we've been praying for it on our prayer anybody remember 3.5 i gave you all the numbers i gave you all the particulars of it and said this is where we are at this juncture we have the opportunity to buy a facility god is this the right one i don't know i do know this god i'm here and i'm standing and it will either or it will not i've asked you just a moment ago can god do anything can god do this and we all with assurance say yes god can and we all give thee we give the exuberant yes god can god can god can and i wonder at times where is the willingness for us to say god use us to do it so over the last several weeks i have them again i want you to understand the heart of pastor i don't come and try to beat anybody up for we need money we need money god's been good to our church but i'm afraid the blessings of god to our church can cause us to stumble i stood on i go gap road and i wept and cried and said god this was all i had to give and god came through in a tornado and took it and i stood and wept brother rob and i said god that this wasn't enough it wasn't right it was wrong what happened why is that and i watched i watched on that particular friday afternoon as the building take her down her guys were there with their cranes and their dumpsters and they picked up my office and i watched my desk be held into the air and dropped into a dumpster and us prayed and cried god that was where i met you every day i watched the carpet come off the floors they peeled it up and dropped i got that's where i knelt and prayed that was our space and now it's trash i don't mind saying i believe in our day in our hour if we're not passionate about what we believe why do we believe it if we're not willing to embrace whatever comes and why do we keep following the things of god hear me church i do not simply want to be a willing vessel to come to church on sunday and wednesday and walk away and wonder where god is the rest of the time i want god to breathe and i hear his breath i want god to know that i'm close to him and i want to do his will for the next generation so i asked you this past wednesday night for those of you who aren't here i'm sorry let me explain it quickly we have an opportunity i asked you as a church prayer pray about it please on september 11th that's next sunday we'll come back together and i want for you to pray and consider what can you do to help us with purchasing another building our monthly giving for for the building has got to increase we've reached a point of a down payment but we need more to go with it if this particular buildings and if it's not the bankers already said you got to raise that number for whatever you buy because you got to have a higher down payment everybody understand the math so this week my wife and i prayed and we fasted with you guys and this week i know there's many more of you that's going to fast and pray over it and i've tried my best to understand where we stand at this hour and i told my wife so gently yesterday as gentle as i could sweetheart we have to be examples so i asked her i said baby can we give ten thousand dollars for this she said i believe we can we'll move some numbers around we'll adjust some things i said okay we're going to give the first ten thousand i don't have a lot of money but i'm trying my best to have something for my grandbabies i do not want them to split hell wide open because we were selfish and didn't do something in this hour for them then i looked at her and i said baby if god wants more are we willing she said baby i'm willing whatever we got to do so i'm starting it today with ten thousand now we have a building fund we've got 640 some thousand dollars in it i told you i gave you those numbers on wednesday night but we need them over a million dollars for a down payment pastor where are you going to get ten thousand i don't know we're gonna figure it out we're gonna figure it out if we got to sell something we'll sell something else and we'll figure it out i'm not trying to guilt anybody into anything i'm simply telling you that with willingness they brought and it was such the point brother seth they had to come back to god and say these people are bringing so much they are so willing i have to stop them i have to stop them because the stuff they brought was more than enough listen a preacher for just a moment church we are at a junction in our lives and at this moment we can lose it or we can grab a hold of it and go forward with it i realized i said it wednesday night most of us budget for the things of god here's my ten percent and here's my 10 cents there we brought it in a line item for some of us it's a stretch i know for some of us though we just kind of budgeted in and it just happens because the lord helps us i'll declare to every single person listening to this preacher right now everything that you've got everything that you've been given everything you've had opportunity to receive did not come because of you or your strength or your ability it was the voice and breath of god that worked through you i say this often from this podium most of you have jobs you do not deserve you don't have the talent or the education for it but god has breathed into your life and god has opened doors and god has put you in a position to where you are and the lord's saying i am blessing you because you're my child what would it be like if we willingly said god what's it going to take for the next generation i had a conversation this very morning with one of my leaders in the church and his question pastor i need help i said i know it i said if we if we can somehow hold on and move forward there is a generation of young people that are out of place that god is going to raise them up and push them into ministry ways that they don't even know right now things that god is breathing to them in their prayer closets determination that we call hindrance and problems god is saying do not take that spirit from them i am making them desperate for me i am giving them a determination that they will decide when the time comes i'll not settle for what you take from me but i will willingly god give it to you daily read it in your story they came here's my question brother lorenzo here's my question does anybody know where the children of israel came from before this time that moses is getting a word from god slavery they didn't have two dimes to rub together they had nothing and when they left egypt they took with them what they could but when the time this amazes me when the time came to build the place of god the bible says willingly they brought they brought we're talking gold and silver and iron we're talking precious stones we're talking stuff that was would so blow your mind i'm standing here going where did they get all that stuff they didn't have anything god had made a promise to them and through that promise the blessings of god was upon them and the provision of god come on you want to know what man it tastes like don't ask anybody in here ask the children of israel you want to know what water out of a rock tastes like don't ask anybody today ask them you want to know what the church of cornerstone apostolic church in chattanooga looks like i'm asking you guys i know that when i mentioned on wednesday night we need a half a million dollars to add to what we've got some of you took a big breath and said well that's way out of our range god sends something else and with all the love that i can and with all the kindness that i can i tell you that if we will allow god to use us in this hour whatever his plan is god will bless and multiply the work that will blow our minds there is none of us in here that understand the temple that solomon built but solomon's dad said i can't do it but i'm going to do everything i can willingly to make sure you got what you need to build it son so i ask you on this sunday are you willing we need a half a million dollars is that too hard for god we would all say no then god simply taps us on the heart and says hey i need that to come through you i believe that this is the hour in which god has allowed us to come this is our generation i want to be willing i want to have willingness to do what god calls us to do for the day in which we live to truly understand the power of sacrificial giving you are simply going to have to sacrifice would you bow your head with me for just a moment king jesus lord you know my heart i also know what i've heard from you you know lord the steps it's going to take you know the journey in front of us you also know lord your ability to bless those who will willingly willingly bring to you today lord i ask you to plant the seed of faith in the hearts of people to believe you for great things foreign to believe you for the next generation to trust you for the journey in front of us and to know god whatever place whatever location whatever possibilities that are there it's going to be because you blessed our willingness to give brother drawn would you come please and help me the resounding word of all the verses that i read to you today was willingly willingly i know that god can bless bake cells god can bless peanut brittle cells i mean you know i'm invested in that before yeah god can bless car washes god can bless yard sales god can bless anything well i found out recently god will even bless popcorn foreign no i didn't know and i know that those are incredible opportunities for togetherness and working anybody remember if the easter eggs at easter time yeah how much fun the 50 of us in there pounding peanut butter and wrapping chocolate and laughing and having a good time when i was youth pastor my wife and i we used to have car washes and we'd make a hundred dollars at the most but those kids had memories they'll never forget willing to work you can ask my kids if you dare you remember doing those things growing up oh lord you don't even know my little girl will tell you i had to sing for my dad i said baby keep singing keep singing they're giving keep singing with their little ponytails and her little glasses i was not taking advantage of the children i can ask my little girl right now though can god do it did she'll say yes because we saw him dad we saw him do it i know the value of ten dollars i know the value of ten thousand i do i work a job just like y'all do i also know that there are some of you sitting under the sound of my voice right now you are an incredible financial duress because of your selfishness and pride because you've left god out of the equation what used to be a joy of giving to the things of god you now consider to be a burden god can't bless you he wants to but he can't because you have closed it up challenge you today is there anybody here willing to say god i don't have any idea where it's going to come from or how it's going to happen i can do all the math i want but lord i want to want to do what you're asking me to do what you've put in my heart to do i want to willingly god know that nobody's pulling it from me nobody's demanding it from me but willingly god i am opening my hand to you and i'm saying it's yours and if i do that today god i believe tomorrow i'll be able to say it again isn't that the story i just read to you just stand with me church i know that uh some of us are very uncomfortable when somebody starts talking about your money because it's none of our business and i agree i agree but having said that allow me pastor moment as much as we struggle with that as individuals thank you thank you god's going to honor you as much as we don't want anybody in our business financially we all want to know where the money of the church goes now i'm going to do everything i can as pastor to tighten the belt and try to make wise decisions on spending come on you don't even have carpet to stand on i chose a gallon of paint instead of don't accuse me i believe god has not brought us here to destroy us and leave us but i believe god is honoring faith he is honoring willingness to say god i have no choice but to willingly give to you thank you brother lorenzo anybody else want to interrupt me god i know you know right now in our minds we're doing all that we can figure it out and add the doing the math and the carrying the minus and this and god's saying wait a minute this is not at all about you i want to use you i want to invite the whole church to an altar today would you come would you come willingness willingness lord help me understand that faith takes movement and action jesus come on church talk to the lord he's already talking to you come on reach out to the lord he's reaching out to you in the name of jesus somehow someway willing god i'm i'm reaching for you right now and i'm willing lord help me lord to be submissive to you and what your plan is help me god to look to the next generation and to realize if they're going to know truth it's going to be investedness on my generation if my great-grandbabies are going to know you jesus they got to have a church to go to in a and a family god to connect to lord so that the miraculous can happen in their lives help me lord be willing to do lord god what you're calling me to do what you're asking me to do what you're able lord god to work through me come on church pray lift your voice come on lift your voice lord i'm searching for you in this moment come on lord i know you've got a plan and a reason and a purpose i declare in this room there are some that you are standing one step away from a miracle financial miracle in your life the lord wants to know are you willing are you willing are you willing to trust him with it come on the lord knows where we are and why he has brought us to this generation to this moment for such a time as what we are living in right now god help us not to miss it help us lord not to miss it but help us god to take the seed lord what you've given us and help us by faith to reach lord god into what we don't know and understand but be willing or god to be vessels used of you jesus oh jesus hallelujah come on church pray the holy ghost is speaking into you right now he's speaking into your faith right now he knows your limitations but he has no limits let him work through you right now he knows what you can't do but he also knows what he can't do let him work right now come on let's write in the name of jesus god i don't know how i don't understand lord but by faith i'm willing to do god i believe you're able lord you're looking for willingness willingness god to accomplish the task at hand fear jesus the name of jesus the name of jesus the name of jesus the name of jesus jesus oh i speak faith lord into this room right now understanding lord of your will and purpose the name of jesus in the name of jesus oh i love you lord i need you and i trust you right now i honor you right now i honor you lord right now that may be willing a willing sacrifice anybody else be remiss if i didn't give you an opportunity to act on what god's telling you foreign thank you thank you they're on the stairs going to sell a car they're going to give the proceeds thank you guys dylan thank you bill and his family committed ten thousand as well the next thing god's blessing ten thousand ah a my kids just bought a house but they've committed six thousand god i'm willing anyone else god i'm willing i don't know how but i'm willing lord i'm willing lord come over church would you pray one more time the blessings of god those that are yielding those that are moving come on god can right now fill somebody where the holy ghost there's an atmosphere of worship by giving right now in this house oh come on believe jesus jesus oh god how is it that they could daily give except god kept giving it back to him god kept giving it back to him they would give willingly and god would give to them and they would give willingly it wasn't just a one and done but god said i'm going to continue that foreign thank you for those who have responded i i trust that there are others that are hearing the voice of god listen to pastor carefully please next sunday we'll come back that's the day that i ask you if we'll pray about and let god help us and i don't know how it's going to happen to you and i'll tell you the this particular facility we're looking at it may pass us by and if that's the case i've already prayed god thy will be done it just means something better is coming but if it is this one i'm going to seize the day because i want my grandbabies to have a place to come and worship i don't want them to have to depend on hillsong or bethel to give him songs and music i want them to hear their mom's voice their grandma's singing i want them to hear i want them to know it's you that wrapped your arms around them and loved them into this no they don't have kids yet y'all be quiet but if it stops with them i've not done my job tim and grandbaby's knee lorenzo them grandbabies in place maybe they
