go right into the word of God Colossians chapter 1 verse 9. the setting of the scripture here is Paul's prayer and desire for the church and let this be our prayer and desire for our own selves and one another for this calls we also since the day we heard it do not cease to pray for you and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God strengthened with all might according to his glorious power and that's what I want to draw your attention to this afternoon is his glorious power unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness we serve a God who is powerful the Bible says that they came and they gathered around as he began to teach and the scripture says that his power was present to heal God is present here to heal you God is present here to deliver you God is present here to strengthen you God is present here to help you uh praise God he is the almighty God oh could we activate that virtue that flows from him that effective power when that lady went and she reached out he said I felt virtue flow from me that effective power that comes from the Throne of God Jesus Christ him said all power in Heaven and Earth belongeth unto me amen there is power in the Lord and it was Paul's desire that he that they would be filled with his knowledge of his will oh God help me to understand your will give me the knowledge that you want me to have to walk this journey in life praise God all scripture is given by inspiration of God it is profitable for Doctrine for reproof for correction in for instruction and righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works God has given us great and exceeding and precious promises that we can forsake this world and we can live Godly and pray and soberly and righteously in this present world we have the power we have the authority there is all wisdom and spiritual understanding in him in him we are complete uh this world would spin a Doctrine uh the Bible says I beseech you therefore Brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a Living Sacrifice holy and acceptable unto me which is your reasonable service and be not conformed unto this world but be ye transformed that you might prove what is the good and acceptable and will perfect will of God let us not be conformed but let us be transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost all we need his anointing in this state destroy the Yoke I need his power and his authority he must increase and I must decrease it's about him praise God beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy there's a lot of philosophies out there and I know after the rudiments of this world and not after Christ for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily and ye are complete in him which is the head of all principality and power you are complete in him without him I am incomplete without him I am a dead a Vine that has fallen off and I will wither up and dry and one day I will be burned but when you are in him when you are connected to the vine when you are connected to him there is power there is Authority the church has a destination the church has Authority in this day and hour and he wants we want to tap into that praise God praise God I appreciate Pastor challenges Us in this 21 days uh uh hit the accelerator praise God hit the pedal I've got a dear friend that who came into the church and he got baptized and got the Holy Ghost and he is a professional driver and he is one who builds those long uh tracksters and he said this to me he said the hardest thing to do when you get in that and you press the accelerator there's so much power shooting you down that quarter track the record is 6.63 according to statistics uh 6.63 seconds from the start to the end of the quarter track he said the hardest thing is is to keep your foot on the pedal because the design the thing is there's so much there you kind of want to take off you know it's just too much power let me tell you something keep your foot on the pedal praise God Amen God's power is a manifested his power and authority is for you don't let the world decide how fast you go in him don't let this world keep you from all of the promises that he has for you praise God praise God Amen over in the book of first defeat uh chapter Ephesians praise God chapter 1 and verse 16. he says this and here Paul again is praying for the body of Christ sees not to give thanks for you making mention of you in my prayers that the god of our Lord Jesus Christ the father of Glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom oh hear it today God give us the spirit of wisdom give me wisdom in this hour let us walk in wisdom to those that are without Redeeming the time let your speech be always with Grace season with salt that you may know how you ought to answer every man there are hungry people out there that want to be filled with the Holy Ghost I talked to a lady just the other day she's come to a certain place in her walk with God she says but I want to be filled with the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues as the spirit gives the utterance she said I have not experienced that yeah I want that I said it's for you it's real it's for you you can be filled with his Spirit praise God he said give us wisdom and Revelation in the knowledge of him that the eyes of your understanding be an enlightened God help us to realize the hour that we live in help us to realize that you are coming back and we must work while it is day for the night cometh and no man shall work let me work while it is day Lord praise God give me understanding spiritual Revelation that ye may know what is the hope of his calling oh it's a high calling it's a Divine vocation praise God called out of Darkness into this Marvelous Light so that we could show forth the Praises of him praise God he said and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance of the Saints oh thank God for the riches of his glory and what is the exceeding greatness of his power his power and authority think about that to us word who believe according to the working of his mighty power do you believe today oh help us to believe Lord I believe help mine unbelief Lord I believe I've toiled all night I've struggled with this all day I've struggled all night with something but nevertheless I'm gonna cast my dad out and nevertheless at Thy word Lord I believe you and that's what we've got to do we've got to go back to the word we've got to go back to spiritual principles in the word of God it doesn't matter what happens I'm going to get back in the word of God and I'm going to apply the word of God to my life and I'm going to keep on praying and I'm going to keep on submitting to Spiritual Authority and I'm going to keep on serving you you want Power it's through submission you want his authority in your life you submit to a pastor you submit to Spiritual Authority humble yourselves under the mind of hand of God and he will exalt you in due season praise God praise God I hurry on over to Thessalonians first Thessalonians chapter 3 . what can I give back for all he's done for me when I was a little baby I didn't know this but they about gave up on me because they said I was going to die didn't work because they brought it to the church and the church prayed and I'm here before you today because of Prayer you are here because of prayer you are here because of someone's influence in the kingdom of God you are here because nobody arrived on their own we need each other we need the body we need each other there's hungry people that want to come in and they need you and God is preparing this church amen can you believe for great things ahead can you believe for an outpouring can you believe for what God wants to do oh it's his glorious power it's not our might it's not our power but it's his glorious power for what thanks in verse 9 can I render can we render to God again for you for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God many times Paul could not be in the presence of many of these people that he wrote to but his prayers and his writings went forth to them and he said what things can we render to God what can we thank God for night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face and might perfect that is mature or edify our build up that which is lacking in your faith oh praying that my brother that somehow are my sister God whatever they need you are the all-sufficient God by God shall supply all your need according to his riches and Glory oh that he the thing that might be lacking the thing that they're struggling with the thing that they are hurting over that God might mature that and edify we've been called to edify that is build up one another praise God praise God he goes on to say in verse 12. and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another it's held together by love praise God the love of God constraineth us it propels us it pushes us there's the desire there's the burden uh there's the urge of the power of God praise God we abound together in love one towards another and toward all men even as we do toward you to the end he may establish your hearts here it is unblameable in holiness Peter talks about so great an entrance abundantly administered unto you not just to perhaps slide in right at the end but a great abundant entrance I present to you that the church when it goes in when we reach that City it's not just going to be by the skin of our teeth it's going to be by those who fought a good fight and who have finished the course who have kept the faith henceforth there's laid up for me a crown of righteousness and all of those that love his appearing it's said here unblameable in Holiness before God even our father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all of his Saints why is there urgency in the air why is there the burden and the desire to really accelerate and do what God wants to do why because he's preparing the church he's coming back and we've got a job to do let us work while it is day for the night cometh and no man shall work let's all stand today the Bible says be ye steadfast a unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord for ye know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain what we do for the Lord is not going to be an empty reward there's going to be a reward and I want to Rejoice with you on that day but until then we've got work to do amen God bless you today
