good to be among friends a man and to feel the presence of the Lord like we have felt in I'm like so many preachers who have come to a place like this thinking you had in your heart and mind everything that God wanted you to preach only to have something happen like Monday night happened to us and he just changed it all and so I won't obey Him brother 10 he kept saying we need a word from the Lord and we've been hearing a word from the Lord and I really think it's time that we recognize that we often see the vessel the preacher and don't associate that that's the Word of God that he's using man to flow through to us and I pray God today don't let anything get lost in personality but let the word of the Lord flow freely from God to our hearts because he's the only one that can change us everybody say change that's the word today change woe to them there that are at ease in Zion and Trust in the mountain of Samaria which are named chief of nations to whom the house of Israel came verse 3a that put far away the evil day and caused - and caused the seed of violence to come near that lie upon beds of ivory and stretch themselves upon their couches and eat the lambs out of the flock and the calves out of the midst of the stall and chant to the sound of the vial and invent to themselves instruments of music like David that drink wine and bowls and anoint themselves with the chief appointments but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph in everybody said a man a man you may be seated this morning early the words kept rolling over into my heart and mind what time is it it was not because I was not aware of what the clock said it was early that wasn't what he was saying he was saying what time is it I believe it's time for change I was in the hospital a few days ago in the city of Melbourne Florida standing in the corridor I heard an alarming sound with a lot of frustration in the voice and anxiousness the cry came across the PA system code blue code blue I remembered that I was in a hospital and things are supposed to be really sterile and quiet and yet they were screaming code blue code blue understanding if you've ever been around hospitals and you know that that's a significant sound it's something that everybody in that place understands immediately the importance of it and I thought oh god what time is it I believe it's time for Joe the Baptist to come shouting out of the the hills of Judea the Messiah's coming there's every day that the church must recognize where we're poised as far as the timeclock of God surely this is the time I thought it's too late for pretty sermons and and lofty attitudes it's too late for me to try to impress somebody what I need to do today is realize that the ground assault he is getting ready to commence that God is gathering his troops together the code blue I thought about the doctor that might have been sitting somewhere in the lounge and sipping the coffee and it was half gone and yet he didn't say wait a minute I'll wait till I finish my cup of coffee maybe someone else was on break and they said well I'll be there when my break in cold blue was the shout that came to the PA system and everybody began to run heard Li to their post I'm telling you God speaking to the church today code blue no more ivory couches and ivory peds of East won't to them that artisans I&I he said it's time for us to rise up off of our couches of easy it's time to make straight to you that proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ without fear or favor of man how about my hair you might ask how about my image how about my clothes it don't matter code blue somebody's dying and all I can say is we've got to hurry whoever you are today come quickly is the crime hurry is the cry from those that are lying upon the deathbed of this world pastor it's time to pull out the stops it's time to be inconvenienced it's time to understand that the coffee break is over it's time for me to realize code blue is in effect some months ago I was I was faced with an incredible experience in our church you know we had a flashy young evangelist named Terry Smith who proposed to me a wonderful idea and I wasn't any smarter than to believe him and he came into our city and brother Kilgore three days that young man went into the schools of our community and on the weekend when the young people should have been out playing football and at the football arenas are out partying through the night time the amazing thing happened that there was eight hundred young people one night came to church out of the schools in our community and in three days 1100 hungry hearts came into that church services we weren't prepared for it it was a scary sight to see them walk in and began to chant chant and they began to worship only mocking and imitating what we were but you could see the cry of God coming out in them and I pray Oh preacher don't hold back what God's given you to this world we heard the scripture this morning say not ye there are yet four months till harvest the fields are white already to harvest there's got to be a divine urgency among us can you say man I pray God give us a sense of crises I'm convinced that we need to make fresh connection with the real source of power that comes only from above our generation has become conscious of everything just look around to read the newspaper we're health conscious and yet disease is running rampant as never before we've become conscious of our safety and yet just a few days ago we we read it again at LAX when the planes collided they do that it's not working environmentally we're conscious and yet somebody says we've already crossed the boundary of no return and the debate goes on and on there's a real sense of urgency to the human race about our elements and what's going on around us in the air we breathe and the water we drink in our a particular part of the country they're concerned about layoffs are concerned about the auto industry that's in trouble they're concerned about the plants that are closing and the interest rate keeps going up and coming down and going up but this old world is gonna pass away and then what is the question what time is it we desperately need to be given our attention more than ever before to the things above we need to realize there's a need of a baptism of divine urgency in the Apostolic Church give us a God baptize us with the divine urgency Oh hallelujah code blue no question we're living in the closing days of the age if you debated that a few weeks ago I don't think the debates there any longer we're seeing it fulfilled in our time we're understanding where we are the Oakland Press our local paper had an article recently that said the network's are lifting and loosening their censorship on TV that they might compete with cable AIDS epidemics not going away drug it's not going away abortion it's not going away all I'm saying is there's a world out there that's marching to the beat of another drummer and we the church we've got to get up from where were lying and understand that is that we must be green we must be green with our brother hallelu is what I hear today code blue what I hear heaven shouting up here the PA is blaring loud and clear somebody's got to lay aside the inconvenience ahead and say I'll respond to the need of this our God baptized us nude with a divine urgency Oh hallelujah hallelujah Helen broken lives suicide dr. Eric I've of Cornell Medical School said that our young people must commit suicide that's what the statistics say and I say not so not so shattered dreams divorce church we've got to wake up we've got to wake up the salvation of souls have got to mean something to us I'd like to just stand here today and say man - everything sister Mangan said just a moment ago we've got to be grieved for the affliction of Joseph and I'm not going to belabor the story of Joseph we preachers all know it well but let's be reminded quickly that something evidently happened to his brother Judah in that story because when he was sold to the Ishmaelites it was his older brother Judah in Chapter 37 that said why what profit is it if we slain and there's that horrible word profit somehow the selfishness of Judah began to come for what profit is it if we slay him and the brother his blood be concealed he said it would be better if we would sell him to the Ishmaelites and that was in chapter 37 but when you quickly turn your Bible to chapter number 43 you find a change in this man in his selfishness he really thought after that the blood would be lifted and the responsibility would just go away somewhere but in chapter 43 there had been a lot of things transpired between those few chapters come into the land and certain death was prevailing there and it was Judah now who start step to the front and with a willing and submissive spirit he said it's my life I think that I'll redeem my brother's life with that he said I'll stand in the place of Benjamin he had awakened unto the reality of the need he had awakened to the urgency of the day he had become aware that his brother of his that he sold some time ago every day in his mind it rolled over and over again I wonder how he's doing I wonder where he is I wonder what's going on and now the opportunity arises and he said wait a minute I'm not gonna make that mistake again I'll give my life I'm telling you God's calling to the church today we may have made mistakes yesterday we may have failed you know responsibilities yesterday I mean we may have let down even what God wanted from us yesterday but all thank God we've been called in another hour to Latifi that we might say God Here I am but he take me he used me if we go away he told blue church Oh hallelujah did somebody respond somebody say I will hear somebody say here hallelujah that's crazy hallelujah hallelujah what an opportunity he could have come ten years ago where we we have been where would we have been what would our response be but I say Oh God thank you I'm hearing something so clear though there's the word a clear sound a certain sound hearing something so clear this week it's not estranged from the hearts of his people but it's Accord a common corner that he's reaching out and touching in every one of our hearts somebody's not getting up today and preaching on praise and somebody else is not getting up and preaching on this it seems like there's a common denominator a threat of cominis it's running through the hearts of the people and we're all feeling at that thing every time somebody stepped in this pulpit huh it's been the call of God again to the church you said wait a minute if you look into yourself long enough 50 it's time to turn your eyes on the field there's somebody dying here and the church it has just got to respond Oh God baptize us with a divine urgency Oh if the church refuses to wake up if the reality of the need and the urgency of the day is not responded to somebody is going to die not my god but will die there's a word it's called bystander apathy I think God that he's given our church in Pontiac another chance I thank God there in that wonderful Detroit metropolitan area that God has allowed us a new awakening I can remember some time ago when it was just a good old church have a thing was going good plenty of money few problems good people a solid church love God gave freely to the work of the Lord had a wonderful missions program but somehow they were settled in the comfortableness of the routine coming and going coming and going coming and going we live in an area where the county seat is where we are of a million people and the metropolitan area of some four or five million people and there's not enough churches there not enough states to reach them not enough preachers and somehow we were sitting there in suburbia and we were enjoying pattycake in for Jesus and going through the motions of what we call church but all thank God there was a divine mandate that he sent one made our church and things began to change and something began to happen and all of those sweet times it seemed like I had more headaches ahead and I had more bills and I had more problems than you did County here and I want to talk about that here but somewhere in the midst of the move of the Holy Ghost there's been an urgency the divine urgency that sweeping through the hearts of the people you know not everybody's caught the vision but the preacher has the preacher heard Kevin honey bird code blue I'm trying to tell him his best I can I'm trying to tell him somebody's died and it's up to you hallelujah he Allah McCrory esata revival began to break out in spite of us just enough for us to realize that unless we got on the bandwagon he was getting off it you see that's the wonderful beauty of the mercy and grace of God in our image we thought we were doing good in our ignorance we felt like we were being a Christian but God gave us a little taste of divine and when we tasted it we weren't doing it but we tasted it it tasted so good and so sweet I wanted some more and I'm telling you I'm glad to say after that revival broke out in the university down the street from the church and we began to see Souls one at the bagel table we wiped out the whole entire jazz department of the University and one by one they came and were baptized we saw a revival in General Motors we saw a Bible I hear young people we saw the biology in the ethnic groups of antenna code blue sounded here and we responded ugly with a divine urgency Oh God shake us again Oh God move us again we can't afford bystander apathy we can't afford to step on our coffee then tell our cute little jokes when somebody is lying and he in the emergency room in this world and we're the one that has the answer God baptized us somebody shout hallelujah hallelujah the riding Roman said that knowing that knowing the time what time is it that knowing the time that now everybody say now we need to start reading the word man I admire this man hey we need to read the word now it's high time everybody says high time to awake out of sleep that's what he said for now say now now is our salvation nearer then when we believe I think the key word obviously is now not tomorrow not next week not some day is not in a convenient hour but code blue sounded the deadline there somebody has got a rush today No the bow large and say oh come on preacher it's you but the signals go into it you that the mandates callin oh he all are my conside you know that the early church expected the second coming of the Lord at any moment I don't even have to preach on that they lived with a divine urgency it's no wonder the things we heard this morning transpired and happened in the founding fathers of faith it's no wonder the gospel turned cities upside down Oh hallelujah we don't know when God's going to rise up can bid us come on but I'll guarantee you one thing it will not be off of a couch or a bed of ivory he's going to call those in the field he's gonna call those that are doing what the mandates called for he's gonna summon to those who have responded to code blue come on church I said come on church you know what's happened in the city of Pontiac our attendants are our membership in the church has tripled that's what's happened there I got more headaches as I said that I want to talk about but thank God if somebody's getting baptized and somebody's getting saved and somebody and it's not enough it's not enough is my heart's been Stern already this week I need to go back home and say come on we need 40,000 Souls at least that'll walk in the sea in the doors of the church ahead and give the heart to God and baptize filled with the Holy Ghost and ready for heaven hallelujah no it's not program but somebody's got to get this thing going there is procedure my god we can't let this expectancy grow dim I like what was said this morning at the conclusion is sister Vesta Mannion charged all of us we've cried our tears I've been there I was born and raised in this thing I know what it's like to lay brother go there underneath the the benches and in in Southeast Missouri and have them dance around my head I know that and I've been to this place and I've been where many of us are sitting right now and we've been stirred and we've been motivated to nothing but change that's the word Code Blue is an effective God don't let it go down it's time grows shorter every day we're getting nearer his coming we've got to live with a sense of urgency we've got to have a baptism can you say man I've got to quit making excuses I've got to get my head out of the sand around me and realize something's got to be done there's a world it's hurting there's a world that's in the pit there's a world that's in prison and he said for you to go and you to proclaim and for you to open the prison doors he didn't say I'm gonna go he said you go you go you go every day he would remember that brother every day god help us feel the pain and the affliction for the Anthony Mangan when that young lady raised her hands last night I know that out there they couldn't see like we could appear but I saw the scars on her hands and I saw the scars on her face and I felt the heartbeat of that pastor I know what you were feeling but somehow we've got to realize and feel the pain and the affliction of those that are out there we've got to be great we've got to be grave we've got to be grave with the affection of Joseph Oh hallelujah you have in your hand the ability think about it God has endowed you with the power God has given you that to do something let's do it can you say man let's do it the message is clear isn't it go ye I like what he said in the word whatsoever you do that's what he said these things shall you do I like that you know we've been waiting around for some magical something to happen in our churches we've been waiting for that wonderful presence of God to come tiptoeing down the middle aisle of our churches and and some night unaware God's going to us your revival into our churches and we're just going to stand it's not going to happen that way there's no magic shortcut to this thing I'm here to tell you that what's going on in Alexandria is not by accidentally and God's not playing favorites at ease but somebody has a divine urgency had they been baptized of him with the mandate of code blue hell doesn't go ye whatever you do whatever you do you do it hallelujah hallelujah we've been saying God when you gonna move that's the problem he probably moved that a long time of God and he's saying when are you gonna do it I'm not saying with little deities at all but some of these brother that's caught the vision of this thing we stood back in skepticism and we've ridiculed and we've critiqued their motives and all they're doing is obeying the Word of God how they're doing is when they walk up and say be healed his he said these things you're going to do in the name of Jesus they took his hand and said rise up and walk I'm convinced today that if the church will reach out that he did grab hold of his hand and that there's no end or limit to what God can do it even our day just like he did in the book of Acts I'm getting tired I'm getting tired of window shopping in the book of Acts I'm getting tired of pressing my nose on the page si I'm getting tired of her reading about what they did I want it to happen to me I want to see it in my day I want to see God move up in the baptism of the urgency Sitaram aha hallelujah when Elijah heard the call come from the Shunammite woman he sent his servant with his staff and we know what happened nothing Oh hallelujah and finally when the man of God the Bible said took his staff that's that anointing that's that anointing and he walked in come on that's right preach a little bit and he walked him and he walked in that room and he laid himself home that baby and he put his lips I will hallelujah he put his left side and he put his eyes and he pressed his mouth he put his feet he put his hands up I'm telling you that's the call to the trucks today it's your hands happy it's your lucky it's your mouth it's your feet there's a divine urge and save you Oh here are my courier there is there is no proxy in God we've let the Baptist bustle and then we've ridiculed and talked down about them we've let the Jehovah's Witness knock on the doors and then we've told them to stretch whoo hallelujah I'm here to tell you it's the anointing that rest upon the apostolic Jesus name people we've got to take it in our hands and we've got to go knock on the doors and we've got to go tell somebody I said we've got to go God change us you got change he color model C kill'uh model son brother Kilgore preached last year thinking he was preaching to a host of people not knowing that there was one little preacher from Michigan that came here and it was just for me me know it was for me Oh hallelujah God baptize us with the divine urgency not our own whim sounds to me like God expects me to do something how about you I'm sorry you don't know me well enough that that I but I'm not going to qualify anything my friends it won't matter in money well in here but you know don't worry about that handicap on the golf course so much well about a third of the preacher city man hey I'm a golfer I love golfing and I like to win but somehow I hear that divine urgency sounded come on I hear Code Blue ringing in my ear yup doesn't matter to God we're gonna have a good time going through this world living for Jesus but somewhere we've got to get off the good time long enough to hear what God's purpose and business really is for us and it's got to be that person that's dying I think lost without him we've got to reach him I said we've got to reach him we've got to reach other that's the mandate from heaven hallelujah the Persian Emperor Cyrus he finally issued a decree and he said you go down and you build that temple again and so they did they went down they took a couple years dug the Foundation's laid the foundations but 14 years later that thing was still growing over there were weeds around there because somebody lost the purpose because somebody got it in their mind that the Prophet said 70 years of desolation and because that period of time had not passed yet they got it in their mind then absolutely there's nothing we can do we might as well just go ahead and work on our handicap because God's not going to move because it's not time I'm telling you what I don't know what's keeping you from revival but what I've been hearing around here is absolutely nothing he's going to stand in the way a hungry heart talking that's saying I want to do God what it is that you want me to cold blue hallelujah the greatest tragedy that's going to come to this generation is not a nuclear holocaust is not an economic crash is not another world war but I'm convinced the greatest travesty that's coming to this generation is when the church does not understand its purpose in the end time and without a baptism of divine urgency we're not going to get the job done and somebody's gonna die stretch yourself today stretch yourself today God you do it he said no you do it you do it it's always go it's always thin it's always you a man the church in general I'm afraid feels no desperation feels no urgency feels no real need Peggy I said is it time for you oh ye to dwell in your sealed houses is it time for you to dwell there in this house lie waste he said now therefore thus saith the Lord of Hosts consider your ways code blue code blue it's time for all of us to examine just where we are in relation to the will and the purpose of God in our lives we're good at defining it for somebody else I'm good at looking and examining somebody else and seeing their shortcomings and their fears and their fault but all maybe it's me sudden drinking the coffee huh and wiling away the hours code blue sound and somebody's dying I need examine mode heart phone priority preacher listen to what he said preacher you have so much and bring in little heat but have not enough to drink but you're not filled with drink you clothed you but there's none worm he that heard it's wages earnest wages to put him in the bag with holes sound familiar anybody I've been there I said I've been there whatever we do we've got to understand that men today have become lovers of themselves and lovers of pleasure he said more than of a god Peggy I preached just a short while but I'm here to tell you he had the message because I was a baptism of divine urgency that rested on him did you hear this morning in one day a church can be born in one day a church can be born again but somebody's got to hear the sound and catch the vision can you see me Oh hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah there's a lot of folk today sad to say that's expecting to falling away a little surprised when revival is coming a little disappointed I remember the preacher stuck his hands about like this he said yes and I got a nice car to drive food in the fridge few people a few troubles other one looked at me and said well I was evangelizing you know well he said we don't have to worry about building he said when his church fields up he said I just clean off up you talk about apostolic Jesus name telling talking Holy Ghost field he said hey you're not grieved with the affliction of your brother come on there's a world hurting look at us today look at us today and are worse it's better than what they've got at their best look at us today I'm telling you God baptized me with a divine urgency Oh hallelujah see revival cost you something said it cost you something the president said in response to the question why are we in Saudi Arabia he said that's the burden of leadership no we don't want to be there no we're not halfway our boys are dying no we're not happy for the inconvenience but that's the burden of leadership come on preacher stop and quit and good job if you don't want to do what God's mandated the church to do come on division division it's a clear sound it's a certain sound some that have been here to this meeting they have said well that's the Pentecostals of Alexandria and that's not the real world or please don't admit who you are that's not the real world I'm telling you but you saw paraded here last night that's the real world that's the real world the testimony you heard from this pastor that's the real world all we're doing is admitting to the fact that we're waiting on God and God's waiting on us T he said you go Ty's a man I'm gonna hurry along here cuz I don't want to get my coattail pub and I got some things I want to say he said wake up Ethan sleep he said don't you know he that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps hello don't take a vacation Oh God's ready whenever you're ready he's been ready don't wait for next year don't wait for the next conference don't wait for the next seminar to equip you equip you you take what God's clean your hair that anointing did you take your eyes your lips and your hands and you stretch your hallelujah hallelujah church is praying revivals knocking on the door and they won't let him in the thing they're praying for is standing pounding his knuckles on the door and they won't let him in Oh God let Peter out of jail call Lenny mad at you darling I mean don't you hear it pounding today don't you hear the voice of God calling young man Young Avengers young pastor whoever you are God's in on the here I'm here I think one of the most sad stories in the Bible is when Eli the priest got in such a bad way that finally when the young man heard from God and interrupted his sleep of the old man he said go back to bed God spoke again Samuel city lie what do you want go back to bed I'm here to tell you that's where some of us are some of us are Eli's and revivals been springing out of bed at night understand here I hit them and we're saying go back to bed but I'm saying come on with me preacher I want a father wake up I don't know Bible in my heart a bottle in my bottle in my city a bottle in my church it's an urgency PLO satara hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah hallelu but the Malcolm the van Jellico ministers of England got together some time ago they were concerned that the vice and sin had got so bad and corrupted the country of England that something had to be done and so when they got together they met for three days the great minds of England in the evangelical church leaders they came to the conclusion that nothing could be done because their assumption was that regeneration and revival was simply the sovereign act of God and so we're just go away Don God now I want to tell you something it may be a lot of truth to part of that because regeneration and revival I'm confident as a sovereign act of God but I'm here to declare today a fast aaalac preacher that evangelism and outreach is the constant obligation of the church in 1991 win won in 91 we can't set back and wait any longer Code Blue has sounded here and we got jump up to whatever we're doing and lay it aside do we really believe that do we really believe that I got I got an interesting phone call I'll not call the name Matt I don't know if I'd be proper but one of the churches in the city called and they are representative of one of the largest if not the largest Protestant denomination in the world big beautiful stoic Church in our city and they said you know Reverend Pentecost Sunday is coming up and we would like to invite you over in your church to share with us Pentecost Sunday well immediately I said don't you understand the credentials are hold and I can't know we'll be there we'll be there I said we'll be there we'll be there blue code blue I hear it I'll be there somebody else is preaching this Sunday somebody else is taking my I'm going to the you I'm going to the other church then they wanted they wanted a little show-and-tell you know cannot go into the zoo brother Libby you know that they want us to come in perform I didn't mind how did mine we walked in they handed us this beautiful program all outlined oh I like what you said pastor we're gonna let the Holy Ghost have his way if God's moving let's get out of the way if the Holy Ghost wants to move it let's go with it let's flow with it come on let's let's leave the mountain and go with him beautiful program all laid out all business you know it was great I even sing in the choir that morning they turned the service to us I said evangelism in an outreach is the constant obligation of the church you know what they gave me that morning for the topic you ain't gonna believe it I couldn't believe it they wanted me to speak on Acts chapter 2 do you know anything about that do you know anything about that who better to tell them who better to tell them who better to proclaim it through better to declare it come on Church the cool-blue is in effect I said cold blue is in effect my god somebody need somebody catch the vision need somebody here from it get out through your walls and not coach somebody's hurt God a divine urgency oh I said I think I know a little bit about that you know I've often thought how offended brother hungry that have been if I have picked that yeah but since they did I could do nothing but accommodate them now I wouldn't ugly but I was honest I didn't get out the action 2:38 I reached up for some divine love and I began to break the bread of life I want you to know my friend there were people in that building that had been there for 20-some years that came to me tears running down faces tracking down their cheeks mascara and hands raised they said in 20-some years there's never been a soul walk down the aisle to the altar but that morning here they come they come walking down bow down before an altar because they felt something they never felt before they realize something I'm here to tell you food we hear it I hear the sound I hear it God baptized us again he got baptized there with a purpose be baptized is with our purpose you let us see it kind of see it brother Kilgore the old sisters of that church walked up to me and they were weeping and their hearts were bursting and they said preacher we remember when it used to be like that in granddad's day we remember the old mourners bench we remember when we used to feel that and then one of them said what's wrong with us now weren't dead weren't dying Oh another one set those amens and hallelujahs sounded so good because we said a man and we said hallelujah and we worship God and we sang and we praise the Lord they wanted to see pivot cost and we wanted them to see it I said we wanted on the scene the baby's dead somebody's gonna stretch their hands and raised in the life he Allah monster how much Kandra oh my god oh my god you know why they're so hungry because the church world is ordaining ministers that do not believe in the basic principles of this book there are deigning homosexuals into their pulpits you know rather so hungry in the church world and denominator is because 10% of the delegates of the National Council of Churches deny the very existence of God that's the preachers and because 77% deny the existence of the devil and finally they heard something and they felt something that stirred a tone in their heart and spoke life to them it wasn't long after that the pastor the church received the baptism of the holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in other towns and the Spirit of God who gave the utterances I'm talking to you today God baptized it with purpose kill there was a little lady sitting in that church that morning I don't remember seeing her there but she was there 15 years old and she said to her mother and dad I want to go visit that church and they said oh no they weren't one of them that came up and joined it 15 years three years three years [name redacted] sat on her hands every Sunday in that church because when we left the glory left what no more amens what no more praise you Jesus when any more tears when any more weapen no more altar services three years in obedience to her mother and father she set on her hands when she turned 18 years old she walked across town seeing Michigan 18 your legal adult walked across town said mom and dad I'm going walked into the Apostolic Church went down in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins can God filled her with the Holy Ghost I said to her just a few nights ago I said [name redacted] how long has it been and she began to beam him real big she said pastor it's been 416 weeks she said it's been eight years that God has filled me with the Holy Ghost I'm here to tell you something's happened in her life because on Sunday any given Sunday she'll be sitting on the front row praising God and alongside her is her mother and her father tell me they're not hungry tell me the kind world he's not in arrested he in the bread of life something cold god he said you go go you're gonna do it you're gonna do it you're gonna do it you're gonna do the mayor of our city came to church on a Sunday night didn't expect him to be there but there he came I thought oh my god here he is said only consolation I had as he was sitting in the deadhead section you mean I'm not the only okay all right and I felt real good when I saw visitor walk in and sit right behind him a beautiful little Catholic lady walked in and sat behind I said man we are safe tonight if we can keep sister Cagle she's 95 years old can shout and dance with the best of them if we can keep her quiet and some of these old Saints that still believe you know we're going to do all right tonight Oh God forgive me we got through all the preliminaries we even got through the choir and we never get through the choir in our church and God was smilin on my wishes oh and it was as dead and the service dead as a service you ever saw said oh thank you Jesus halfway through the preachers message that night halfway through the message everybody still dead as could be the Holy Ghost touched the heart the little Catholic ladies sitting right behind the mayor she jumped to her feet and screamed in his ear and began to talk in tongues right there in the mayor's ear at the Apostolic Church come on I'm telling you better living you said it God keep them dear Saints around our church keep them whooping in a holler nothing and a worshipping and loving God because there's a hungry world dying that one's life come on preacher wake your churches up wake your churches up the next function that I knew that I can remember the mayor came to he came to a formal function at the church it was a wedding you know nothing strange happens at weddings and it didn't but when we were going through the receiving line somebody said where's the mayor what's the matter where's the mayor where's we missed we lost him he was supposed to be in line shaking hands drinking punch eatin cake cause he had finally word change the mayor's in the prayer room on his knees seeking God and praying at a wedding go church dude don't you hear the crowd tonight don't you hear the crowd today can't you see that we the church first must become greed with the affliction of Josephine's because they're dead done they're hungry and they're misfits and the brokenhearted and we've got what they need one of the one of the editors of the large of a large metropolitan paper here in the United States of America he went around and he began to sneak into churches just to see what they were like he came back with a report he said I'll tell you what's wrong with religion in America he said it's dying from dullness he said the only time I ever felt something he said one night I walked in the little storefront Church a Pentecostal church and he said in that place I felt I met God at a little storefront Pentecostal Church that's the real world come on God's not impressed with the things we're impressed with and I'm tell you the world's not either when they're dead in a hungry for something real it's not the beautiful robe choirs and the tall spires the beautiful carpet and the padded chairs and all the things were looking at there won't some power and some light and something they can feel God let us be grieved Emergencies what we need hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah you go you go you go you go you go you go hallelujah he's waiting on us Church I said he's waiting on us never wasn't intended for the church to sit down come on the rivers of babbling we were grieved not over the lost but over what we could remember used to be but he said we were grieved when they demanded us a song do you see they blew it just like the phone call I got come over is Pentecost Sunday we've heard about you folks that's what they were saying there by the rivers of Babylon hey we heard about you folks sing us one of themselves you know what you know what they did they got selfish and they turn inward and they wept and set out and said we're not going to sing because when they weren't a strange but I'm telling you what we need to get out in the world we need to get out to the mumbos they're out on the death beds of this world and we need to sing to them happy and we need to love them and we need to tell them the truth because that's what the hungry don't set out Apostolic Church I don't go to sleep in it cause with you come on preacher weenie don't we need to wake up the church new code blue blue code blue code blue this beautiful singing I heard last night and today the world has a right they have a right better right listen I'm finished say not ye there are yet four months and then cometh harvest behold I say unto you lift up your eyes divine urgency hit the heart of a young lady I got the phone call this morning they said pastor that wedding Saturday you're going to be performing said the networks are going to be there to cover it television is going to be there front page in the paper this morning yesterday the weddin it's going to happen in your church preacher I said oh my god young man something happened to him divine urgency hit the heart of a young girl in our church and she wrote a letter sent it across the way he prayed one of the soldiers in Saudi Arabia was on a transport plane he was the third man to hit the sands of Saudi Arabia the third marine there he said pastor we looked into their guns staring right back at us we were that close to him he said really our function was to be a tripwire we were supposed to cause them to start a conflict and they held the guns back and he said there we stayed in that hot Sun they have today and a letter came to him a letter came to it wasn't an accident because in that transport plane he was scared he said no God I don't know how to pray but lord if you'll get me out of this one he said I'll make it right one of them kind of prayers honesty that's all he said I will that letter reached him God said okay then I'll put that urgency and somebody will we'll see letter got to him unexpectedly someone's past and out of nowhere he got papers to come back to the United States of America wasn't expecting it when he hit the soils of this wonderful country he didn't go home to see mama he said I'm going to Michigan said I have no desire to ever go there I don't even know where it's at he said but there's something drawing me the errand and he came and he came to church and began to meet some of the people in the church and felt something he'd never felt before and remembered that commitment to God and it wasn't long till he was down in Jesus name and come up out of the water and I looked at him and I said Jeff God wants you to have the Holy Ghost and you're going to receive it I said the reason you're going to receive is because of what the way God has intended it for you he went through all this not by accident and so that morning he raised his hands and he was just real still and real quiet just a gentleman you know heard his rock and it was almost frustrating you know what I'm talking about and the craziest thing hit me I said he's a marine and he understands orders now I have never commanded anybody to receive the Holy Ghost before before I said before but I walked up behind that marine you're not heard from the commander in chief and I commanded him to receive the Holy Ghost and instantly he opened his mouth and began to speak in other tones as a spear the Lord he gave the utterance don't say those four months and then there's going to be a harvest you get to looking around where you are who cold blue somebody's high hallelujah one last thing before you before I turn it over in Samuel when they went up before the Lord the yearly sacrifice Hannah said to him I refuse to go she said I'm not going to go until I could present my son to the Lord forever I'm not going up empty-handed if I can't take him with me I'm not going and I'm simply saying today may all of us grab hold of the spirit of Hannah quit talking about gates of pearls quit talking about streaks of gold until we're willing to refuse to go to heaven unless we take somebody with us let's be grave I said let's be green code blue I said code blue they're waiting they're hungry Oh hallelu
